Im back swimming in my pool again! Thanks to the installation team that installed a new liner in my Doughboy pool. I ordered the new liner last Wednesday and it was installed on Sunday. Joe called and explained the process to replace the liner and the price for the install, so there were no misunderstandings as to what was to be done. His team showed up ready to get it done with all supplies needed, and took their time to make sure there were no issues. I was very impressed watching it come together. Im beyond happy!This is not my first experience with A-Tex. I bought the pool from them originally, and when we moved, their team made it happen. I have been extremely happy with the service that I have received.Thankyou, Joann, Joe, Simone and the whole team.

I went here to purchase que sticks and the experience was amazing! As soon as I walked in I was greeted which is always awesome. The representative helping me was Woodson. A-Tex Family Fun Center got us our hot tub by the date they promised, and then sent out someone within 24 hours to fix what ended up being a minor issue. Since we were new to the hot tub, I reached out for support on Christmas day as I didn’t want to do anything to damage the new hot tub. Not only did I get help, but I discovered later that I was being helped by the owner. That’s great service! I highly recommend them!!
I stopped by to look at hot tubs and above ground pools. Sethe Taylor helped me and was very knowledgeable. He was very patient with all of my questions.. and I had a lot. My husband and I decided to go with A-TEX. Thanks to Sethe and all of his help!
A-TEX is a well established, extremely well run local business. I have been to a couple of their competitors and there is no comparison. The man who helped me, Stan, showed the highest level of respect, friendliness and patience. He listened to my needs and helped me to find what I needed. I met the owner and he was equally charming. I have been in the business of property management for twenty years and specialized in working with tenants of locally owned businesses, A-TEX sets the bar high. I highly recommend shopping here for all of your spa needs. I noticed lots of other fun things I don’t need, I am confident they would provide the same level of service with those things as well. The store was clean, well organized and it did not have a strong chemical odor even though they sell many chemicals.
If you’re looking for a spa or above ground pool, A-Tex is the place to go. We purchased a Swim Spa several months ago and Chris and Tammy took care of EVERY part of the process. Getting the spa in the back yard (up and over our house!) was a challenge, but Austin Crane Company made it look easy. The guy who did the site prep and electrical work with thorough, knowledgable and easy to work with. The spa was in place and ready use within about a weeks time. With regular and easy maintenance, the spa was crystal clear for months. Several months in, it got cloudy and the free water analysis at A-Tex informed us that our chemicals were off balance. When we were unable to get the chemicals balanced on our own, Chris came out daily until the spa was back to normal. Their customer service and dedication is outstanding. We also appreciate the fact that A-Tex has a centrally located retail location that’s open for walk in business every day of the week. Most of their competitors all seemed to be located in sketchy warehouse settings that required appointments. A-Tex Family Fun Center gets 5+ stars from us.
Tammy is fantastic and we look forward to actually getting our swim spa. Their installation and delivery contractor was difficult to work with and just seems overwhelmed and unable to do his job. While I recommend ATEX and Tammy wholeheartedly, I cannot recommend their installation team at this time.
We bought a Lotus Bay hot tub from Roy at A-Tex and we were impressed from the minute we walked in. Roy immediately took us to the lower end spas to show them to us. We told him that wasn’t what we were looking for as I have medical conditions and we were looking for a more therapeutic type of spa with more jets, so he took us to see a few more that were up a level our so from the first ones he showed us. We ended up buying the second to highest end spa they had, but it was 100% our choice. Not one single time did Roy push us to go up to higher levels. He also let us know that because of my medical conditions, I could save the taxes on the cost of the spa if I had a prescription from my dr. I could go on and on about the entire experience but I’ll end with saying that I called to bring their attention to a mistake they made on our financing and they not only fixed the error, they went above and beyond to make up for the error. We would recommend the Burnet Road Location of A-Tex Family Fun Center to anyone!! We love our spa!!
Woodson was very knowledgeable, super direct which I appreciate so much, able to address all concerns, accomodate our schedule and genuinely a pleasure to work with. We found A-Tex to be a reputable retailer of spas carrying three lines of tubs and plenty of inventory even during COVID times. The delivery team, led by Chris and two other gentlemen were prompt, respectful, professional and super helpful! I wish all retailers were this straight forward to work with. I purchased a American Whirlpool 982 last week and had it delivered today as a Christmas Present to my family! I can’t thank A-Tex enough for such a wonderful, stress-free, and magical experience this was! I would highly recommend them if you are considering buying a spa in the Austin area! We worked with Tammy and she knew everything about spas in general...other brands, local competitors etc. we got a great deal on the best hot tub out there. Then Wolf and Chris (owner) took over and made our delivery happen in what I though was a timeline they could never pull off! I am so amazed that they did this and I was as excited as a young boy to surprise my two sons this morning with the Tub! Can’t wait to sit in it later! Thanks again A-Tex! Merry Christmas!
Woodson and Chris were great to work with and helped me pick out the perfect pool and spa for our outdoor oasis. The hot tub installer was professional, knew what he was doing and worked through a couple of surprises to make sure we were satisfied. Id highly recommend A-Tex to anyone looking for quality pool and spa products.
This is the second spa my husband and I have bought from Atex Family Fun Center. We think our other house sold so fast because of the spa!!! We ordered our spa in January for our new house and received it within a month of our closing despite the world-wide delays due to COVID. Tammy and her team made the whole process easy and Wulf was a perfectionist when it came to the installation. I cannot say enough good things about this company and their products. Our backs are very happy— hydro therapy is very underrated. Thanks Atex!!
A-TEX Family Fun Center has been great to deal with. Tammy really listens to what her customers need, and she also remembers those details. I have disabilities, and specific needs as a result. She worked w/ us to help us find the right tub and size for our needs. Communication w/ Tammy was also always smooth, clear, and timely. The installation team was great and worked cooperatively with our contractor at home to ensure we got what we needed in terms of placement for ease of use.
So I am bit late. But I wanted to let everyone know how pleased we have been with A-TEX.Selecting a Pool was hassle free and the sales group was not pushy. Scheduling and install was a snap. The group came out and had the pool installed in 1/2 day. Follow up calls were made which was great since we had no idea what to do.The staff takes the extra effort to help out. They are not pushy salesmen trying to get you to buy something. They know what they sale, they work in your budgets and its overall a good experience.We bought an above ground pool a little over a year ago. Both the Burnet and Georgetown Stores are awesome. We had one PVC part that was cracking, and I stopped in to discuss what to do to prevent. It turned out it was my fault because I over torqued the clasp. The A-TEX rep grabbed the replacement part, and I was off.The installation, was done very well too. They got to our house when they said they would and they knocked it out quick.The only CON I have is that I do not have the space to get a Pool Table Room. and my Wife already said no to putting it in our room!.
I purchased a new Dimension One spa from A-TEX on May 1st. While at A-TEX I was told Dimension One Spa was a quality spa that would be low maintenance. The spa began leaking day one.A-TEX has sent out techs multiple of times and this has resulted in the spa being drained 4 times and the spa being out of commission for almost a total of two weeks. After multiple visits the spa has been successfully repaired. The service department was very communicative at made every effort to repair the spa.
From the first contact with the company, meeting & working with Tammy Gill to find just the right one for our home & our family, to the installation with Manny & Wulf’s teams, the entire process of purchasing our new hot tub was easy. We are more than happy with our experience. If you are looking for a company who is genuinely invested in making sure you get what you want this the first & only place to consider.
I would give them zero stars just to prove how horrible and unprofessional they are. We paid for a product that was never delivered, with no information about it, then had to go to the store to request a different product only to have the same issue. The workers literally told me blah blah blah...we did nothing wrong. Absolutely no one could give us information on the hot tub ordered.
We recently had a hot tub moved/set up, and used ATEX to do it. From the quoting process to the final installation, Wulf and his crew were outstanding!They were extremely professional, courteous, and efficient. They also did everything they could to keep the cost down as much as possible.The final product was exactly what we wanted, and cant wait to jump in! We will definitely continue to use them for our maintenance needs, and would recommend ATEX to anyone looking for a spa!
I had decided to purchase a Dimension One Spa, the Nautique. When looking, two dealers were within my area. I contacted both, for pricing and availability. A-Tex Austin was my choice, not only did they significantly CRUSH their competitors on price, the knowledge, and professionalism they displayed made them the clear choice. I negotiated completely remotely. They asked the right questions, had the right answers. They never pressured me, their store offered many options and extras all included that their competitor menu priced. When my spa was delivered, the crew was professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. The fellas never attempted to up-sell or otherwise solicit for more than agreed. They understood my water chemistry, provided more supplies than promised, and the tech provided his personal contact and for any advice, issues and future needs. When I had a question the next day, he was responsive, and frankly a pleasure to deal with. A-Tex has proven to be an honest and reliable retailer for me, giving me what I wanted at a substantial savings over their competitor. I am taking 4 figures folks. I recommend them without reservation.
We have been looking for a new spa center to buy new products and another hot tub in the future. Glad we stumbled onto this place! We were greeted by Tammy immediately and both her and the owner Chris were a huge help! They took time to educate us on different products and have a huge spa collection as well. My brother is having a pool put in. I was appalled by the work being done. Mountains of dirt stacked against his fence, lack of respect for property, poor workmanship, cost increases to CLEAN UP THE MESS. Shame on you. The comments on your web page must be paid for. Shame on you boasting you are a family run company with 30 years of. All I see is lack of customer service and poor quality and money grabbers. My brother has been trying to reach someone at your company to express his disappointment and you are ghosting him. Again, shame, shsme on you. I am sending my brother the BBB website to make a formal complaint. Make this right!!!! Bad work being done in Hutto, Tx!!!
We were shopping for a hot tub for our STR and went to many different spa retailers before finding A-Tex. They were the only ones that really listened to what we were searching for and instead of pushing the top of the line from a price perspective, they found us one that was reasonable and could withstand the wear and tear of renters coming and going. Since then they have provided excellent customer service and advice whenever I have called or stopped by.
We finally had to replace our above-ground pool and the team at A-Texmade it a stress-free process. Tammy Gill at A-Tex went the extra mile to get us exactly what we wanted. Hector Landin and his team delivered a perfect installation. Hector even fit the new pool into my existing deck. The precision and quality of his work is greatly appreciated. Id give them 10 stars if I could.
We chose A-Tex when purchasing our Hot Tub because we heard nothing but positive things about this company and because they have been in business for 50 Years. We have not regretted that decision at all the customer service is beyond excellent. We would highly recommend A-Tex. Some companies may be there a few years and then when you need them theyre gone. Not a worry with this company and the Tubs, chemicals all your needs are available and if you do need something they take care of you.

Very professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff. I have dealt with many of Austins spa dealers over the past 20 years and A-Tex is without question the only place to go in the Austin/Georgetown area for any of your needs related to spas and swim spas. Very happy with the billiard table I bought from them 10 years ago as well. I would imagine all the same goes for their above ground pools.
We met this company at a home and garden show...we talked to all the hot tub vendors there, and definitely appreciated A-Texs product and approach.They have been terrific to work with - very accommodating and nice. Highly recommend!! A-TEX FFC was amazing. From our first online inquiry, to setup and installation, they were great. After submitting an online inquiry, I received a call from the sales department within an hour. We made our entire purchase through text and photos. The same day the owner of A-TEX FFC came to our house to inspect where we were going to place our spa. Installation and setup was a breeze. Wulf explained all the controls, maintenance, tips and tricks. Within four days of our initial inquiry, we were in and enjoying our spa. Can’t say enough great things about this company. If you’re in the market for a hot tub, this is the place to go.

A-Tex has gone above and beyond to help get me set up with a swim spa. We ran into issues getting permits from the city of Austin and they have worked diligently to get this done and insure Im a happy customer. Georgia was great on the front end with sales and discussion about the swim spa and Chris walked through the permit issues with me and has stuck by my side even after the sale of the spa. I would certainly recommend talking to them about your next spa or pool purchase.
Worst customer service ever!!!! No one can give any information about why we have waited over a month AFTER our scheduled delivery for our hot tub. They yelled at us while trying to get information for it after we already paid $4000
I purchased a hot tub about 2 weeks ago. Was told I would be getting a call next day to schedule install (which should be in a couple of weeks). Finally after my THIRD call today I was able to speak to an installer, who told me they have to come out first to look at everything and then he would schedule it. Very poor communication. If this is the way my relationship is starting off...what am I to expect if I ever have an issue. Not impressed from a customer stand point.
10 stars!!! These guys are all just the BEST!! Despite being super busy with everyone wanting pools this summer, they spent time with me explaining everything so well as if I was their only customer. That kind of service is RARE these days. Then I called them all day long asking questions and they patiently answered every one. Then I got a call after hours to address a concern I had and was given a perfect solution!! It doesn’t get any better than this!!

This company and it’s employees are fantastic all the way from the initial sale to service work. Over the years I have done business with them they have been very knowledgeable and willing to go above and beyond. I use to be a contractor and have dealt with many service individuals over the years and when I say they have their act together I know what I’m talking about.
Ive been going here for years for cue work. The technician, Woodson, is reliable and helpful. He has done shaft tapers, ferrule changes, tip replacements, etc. and the results are always perfect. Prices are reasonable, and the turnaround time is usually pretty quick compared to other local cuemakers.
Chris at A-Tex in Austin is very knowledgeable and honest. He made our spa buying experience easy and fun! No pressure, just great advice in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.
Local guides providing 6 of the last 7 reviews tells me ATEX is paying for good reviews. If you provided good service you wouldn;t have to. Visited this place a week ago and Ill never step foot in another ATEX again. High pressure sales. I was only in to get some chems for my spa but they could care less. anted me to dump my Costco tub for theirs. No thanks. No issues after 5 years and loving my NON-ATEX hot tub. who says you cant buy a cheap tub that lasts?
1st spa purchase, 15 years ago, was 5 stars. Most recent spa purchase was very poor in service and communication. They comped us ONE spa table, for the inconvenience. A month after installation the spa base, that their contracted company constructed, warped and stones began spilling out. We made many calls, sent pics and A-Tex made many promises, no repairs.Last Sunday, I drove my Artificial Christmas Tree from Dripping Springs to the North Austin store, on Burnet. I paid, $15 upfront to troubleshoot and was told Id receive a call, Monday am, with a quote. No call, finally I called on Wed. No one had looked at it but was promised a next day call. Called them on Thurs afternoon and was told tree was repaired with 6 boxes of lights. Day after Thanksgiving, husband drove to North Austin and was told there was a mix-up and no one had even looked at our tree. Told to call back Monday.WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!Family all here for Thanksgiving and 1st time EVER, we wont be able to decorate the tree, together, this weekend. So sorry I put my trust in A-Tex, very upsetting.Giving NO STARS!

Its that simple.Chris, Tammy & Wulfe (sp?).Examples of why its about the people.Never felt like I was being up sold.I was listened to, took seriously, even though I knew only a small amount of what I needed to.When I said i wanted to spend 2/3 of my money on easy maintenance, and 1/3 on aesthetics, the plan they returned with was exactly that.They sold me a slightly smaller, less costly version of the pool I wanted, cause they thought it would be better for the space. (and they were 100% right)When I signed the contract, and they had my money, I heard from them MORE not LESS. (let that sink in)Its 9 months later, when I have a question, no matter how big or small, I have an answer usually the same day, if not in just a couple of hours.And let me be clear, the process isnt 100% easy. Construction/installation NEVER is on any project of this size. But when we hit the small hiccups, I never once worried that it wouldnt be taken care of. You cant pay enough for that kind of mental peace.So yes, they are the only place to get Doughboy pools (all my research pointed to them), and they have GREAT spas to choose from. But they make sure what you get, is what you will need/enjoy/be the right fit.They are in it for the long run, not to make a quick buck. And they are in it WITH us for the long haul!The pic will look better this summer! :)
These guys are true experts!I knew I wanted a Swim Spa, and I did a lot of research, but I learned so much more in our short conversation. Turns out theres a lot of bad info out there...They took the time to teach me about their Swim Spas, so that I could make a more educated decision.They really know their stuff! They were able to answer all my questions, even the obscure ones...A new loyal customer.

Very helpful staff! I actually popped in to pick up some billiards supplies, and the fellow working the counter spent a lot of time helping me pick out a single pool cue. I spent a lot less than most of their customers probably do, so I was impressed with their level of service for anyone who walks in the door.
These dudes are the best…I had 8000000 questions about a stock tank pool I’m building, and they addressed all of my concerns and talked me through the build. I’m a customer for life now.

Completely ignored by staff. I went in there Sunday with the intent of purchasing a hot tub but was completely ignored by the staff. There were no other customers in the showroom, there were two girls behind the counter, an older guy at a desk and a couple of other guys that seemed to be warehouse workers. I walked around for at least five minutes and not once was I acknowledged, I even walked by the guy sitting at the desk. I finally left and when I got in my car I called to let them know what happened and that the guy who answered,although he apologized didn’t really seem to care. It was as he was annoyed he had to answer a phone. Needless to say I went somewhere else and they will be getting my business.

We bought and installed an above ground pool about 12 weeks ago from A Tex Pools. We honesty had a mixed experience, but some of that absolutely lies with us. We went with an installer we got from A Tex recommendation, but we did NOT go with A Tex installers. BIG MISTAKE. If you are going to spend on the pool, spend on official installation. Let me tell you the story.......Installation was terrible. Pool was supposed to be 2 ft in ground and 2ft out of the ground. The pool was and is 4ft out of the ground. We were most unhappy. We heard we hit rock and cannot go deeper yada yada yada. I should have insisted they not build the pool until it was 2ft in the ground and 2 ft out of the ground. In all fairness, the pool was 18 below our patio slab, but we could see the bottom. It was 4ft above the ground.So, we talked with Chris, the owner. To his immense credit, Chris did come to our house to address the issue. I was ready for them to take the pool down and away for a full refund. However, Chris was excellent, and although we did not get a full refund (which I did not expect), Chris did offer us some consolations that were very nice. He did seem to understand our situation, that we did create ourselves by not going with his installers.The pool looks great now with a deck around it (thanks Robbie whos not affiliated with A Tex pools), and we are using it almost every day. All in all I think A Tex did what they could given the situation.FYI - Decks cost twice as much as the pool. Be aware.........
Just a delightful surprise as I found that sales was a delight in cues you can afford for the level you are at in billiards and not where your just hitting a target ball. Craftsmen from the tallest branches of billiards accessories. Wont try anyone else until my Image is updated.
Everyone during the process was professional and everything was taken care on time or sooner. We purchased the D1 Meridian and we absolutely love it.
Recently bought Christmas lights there, wound up not needing them all got them 60% off which was great. Took them back it said no refunds which I understood store credit only and they wouldn’t even give me that . Poor customer service they should’ve communicated that before .

Their hot tub selection makes them one to consider but what makes them really stand out against the competition are their technicians that do top notch work and dont try to oversell you and their delivery people like Oger (my inspiration for writing this review given how we went above and beyond in the delivery and installation of a new hot tub cover) who has some of the best customer service skills I have seen anytime, anywhere. If I were the company, I would move him into sales given his knowledge, follow up, ability to put himself in the customers shoes and genuine desire to exceed expectations. A-Texs ability to help you maintain your hot tub with people you can trust coming out to your home and doing good work is why you should buy your hot tub from them. When I am in the market again, I wont go anywhere else.

2022-06-24At the beginning of Summer of covid-19 2020, my wife and I purchased an above ground pool from A-TEX Hot Tubs and Pools. Not only were they probably the only ones in town that had one but they were able to give us an upgrade on our filter system therefore running a much more efficient pool and longer-lasting. But it was and is the service after the sale that made me want to write this review. They have been excellent in every area. Troubleshooting, products when no one else had them, advice and wisdom, maintenance! Not to mention they are just super friendly and always seem to go the extra mile to satisfy customers.

2022-05-28I stopped by for help with my hot tub and Woodson was a pleasure to work with. He made my experience go so much smoother than the folks at Leslies I had been dealing with in the past! I will only recommend A-Tex Family Fun Center from here on out!!

2022-05-18Woodson Nyc from the Burnet Road store is awesome. I have an older spa that needed repair. He advised me on exactly what to do to set it back up and running properly. His knowledge of hot tubs is astounding. Might I add that he could not be more friendly! He is the man to call if you need hot tub help.

2022-05-10Buying an above ground pool from ATEX North will be one of the biggest mistakes you will ever make. I went into ATEX North with a lot of trust because my parents have used ATEX South forever. It turns out they are basically a different company. They could sense my trust and used it to abuse me and rip me off. They charged me top dollar and provided bottom tier equipment. The skimmer is the cheapest on the market, the pump is the cheapest on the market, the filter is the cheapest on the market, and they charged me $12,000.00When I told the installer they used how much I paid, he sucked his teeth and told me straight up that I had been ripped off. I have never felt so stupid. The installer also did a terrible job. He destroyed my yard and didnt even put in all of the screws required for the pool. When I asked them to come out and finish the job, the installer and Atex North ignored me.If you want to waste a bunch of money and be abused, call ATEX North today.

2022-05-20A shout out to Woodson for excellent customer service. I drove 1-1/2 hours round trip to a competitor to pick up a return jet for my above ground pool. I had called ahead and they said they had the part in stock. When I got there they only had the eyeball part which didn’t solve my problem. I called Atex and Woodson had me text him photos of the part I needed to him so he could make sure they had it on hand. I headed over and picked it up. Big thank you!

2022-01-28I’m in the process of purchasing a Hot Tub my contact Woodson Nyc has been thorough and knowledgeable. Has answered all my questions and concerns in a timely manner. He has made this experience much easier as it’s a major purchase but I feel confident with my selection. I would highly recommend working with Woodson !
