We had our A/C unit replaced in 2018 and it needed to be serviced again on Feb 2021 (no heat) then again in August 2021 (A/C not working). I sent an email to their office (Sept 2021) to request information about our warranty since this is obviously an issue with the unit or the installation. This email has not been responded to. I recently called on Feb 3 to leave a message and that has gone unanswered as well. This call could have been to use 1 of the 2 annual visits which I purchased from Juan in August 2021, but I was unable to take advantage of my purchase since I did not receive a call back. Instead, I had to pay another service provider (ARS) to fix the heater and who advised me that we were missing parts that were necessary to keep our house warm…a heat pump was not a part of my unit and half of the heating coils were not working. The house averaged 65 degrees when it was 20-30 degrees outside. I spoke to the warranty company (Trane) and what has been described should have been covered under warranty. I rarely write a bad review; but this is ridiculous.In response to The Owners Response- Thanks for the typical canned response. Bringing it to customer service to include in future training is one thing, but rectifying the problem is another. You clearly have no intention of doing the latter. This could have easily been resolved with a call or email just saying that you would do what you were paid to do, but instead, you chose to copy/paste a response. So, to be clear, will you now provide training on how to respond to service calls that customers pay for? Or, will you provide training on responding to service emails/phone calls after the initial installation? Or, will you teach your installers how to install units which do not need to be serviced 3x within a year? Which of the above will you include?
This company went above & beyond to remove the old A/C unit & installed a new A/C unit! Luis & Omar was amazing, with heat index at 108 degrees, they provided a portable A/C to keep the temp in the house tolerable. Very professional & amazing work. Would recommend ABC Austin Services Express anytime, they get the job done quickly. Within 90 minutes of complete installation, inside my house was a cool 70 degrees! Omar and his team did an awesome job for me. I called him on his second opinion and the first company wanted to charge me for a brand new compressor and their price was like $4000 and when Omar came out he found out it was a tripped breaker and all that needed to be replaced was the breaker. He showed me that the amperage for the compressor was normal based on the specs on the outdoor unit. His price was very reasonable and fairAbc austin service express is the best

Amazing customer service!! I am so thankful I called this company today!! Our AC stopped working this afternoon and our house temperature kept going up a couple of degrees every hour. We called and scheduled a time for someone to come out first thing tomorrow morning, and then I got a text almost immediately after hanging up saying that someone could be at our house in 30 MINUTES!! The wonderful employee arrived and diagnosed/fixed the problem so quickly. And now, literally three hours after calling ABC, my house has cooled over 10 degrees. I am so thankful for this company and their incredible customer service and professionalism. The most positive home repair experience I have ever had.
My hot water heater stopped working. I called ABC at 9am and they were able to come at 11am. Luis was very professional and gave me options for repair vs replace. I decided to replace given the age of my water tank. He removed my existing tank and had a replacement installed by 5pm. Setting up the appointment, communication about arrival time, and payment were all very smooth. I highly recommend them.
I contacted ABC after my husband tried to install the Nest thermostat and “suddenly” discovered the AC was no longer working. I spoke with Omar, who saved the day. He was able to help me out right away, over the phone, and saved us hundreds of dollars that other companies would have charged. He talked us through the repair process step by step, and was so patient. Even asked for pictures so he could see what we were working with. Omar and ABC will be in my contact list forever now, I can’t imagine using anyone else. Can’t say enough great things about this company and Omar!
ABC Austin Service Express provides exceptional service and take really good care of their customers. Came home from work Friday night to find my water heater was leaking at the expansion tank. Frantically called many plumbers, but they were booked up . Called ABC and the owner picked up on the first ring, listened intently to my water heater situation , and talked me through how to safely turn it off. He was also able to fit me on their schedule for the very next day! Their field technician came promptly in the morning, was very courteous, assessed the situation,, explained what needed to be done, and replaced the expansion tank for me. He also suggested some other things to keep the unit running smoothly. A very professional job. Highly recommend this company! ABC rocks!

We hired Omar and his crew to diagnosis and address issues with heat/cool loss, temperature imbalance and dust problems in our 23 year-old Austin home. Many of these homes were built with a very cheap minimalist approach and the entire ducting system was flawed in many ways. From the initial contact through completion, ABC was fantastic to work with. Omar took his time in the attic, closely looking at everything and clearly explaining the issues he found, what his recommendations were and why. This differed from other companies we received quotes from who showed up, took a quick look, and offered us more of a patch and move on approach. ABC removed everything, including the furnace/blower and rebuilt the entire air plenum and ducting network the right way. The crew was totally professional, respectful and cleaned up after themselves. The priced seemed very fair to us and we are very happy with the upgraded system thus far. When we remodel next year to add extra square footage, well be calling ABC. Thank you!
ABC Austin Service Express came out and gave us second opinion on our ac system. Omar said the same thing the other people said but we like Omar and the way he explained everything, so we decided to purchase a new ax and heating system and he also has financing which really helped us out because of the COVID-19. Somewhat crazy times these day with covid, etc. It was taking weeks to get an a/c situation resolved quickly. Everyone, Im sure was trying their hardest what with employees getting sick and high demand, etc. But what a fortunate situation that we came across ABC Austin Serive Express. Omar was refreshingly responsive from the first moment we spoke and delibrete and optimistic about what could be done quickly and effectively. Everything Omar told us might be achievable within a short time frame was accomplished even faster than he suggested and his team (thank you Luis and Juan Carlos) were professional, on-time, courteous and very knowledgable. We had tenants nearly 2 weeks without A/C (other than portable units which we promptly bought them) yet Omar was able on a Sunday evening of Labor Day weekend was to find a new (hard to find) unit, pick it up in another town an hour away, and have it installed within 24 hours. WE CANT THANK YOU ENOUGH, ABC - you have a long-time customer!
Omar at ABC Austin Service Express is absolutely amazing! He did a wonderful job installing a new American Standard system for us that works incredibly well. Our home is so comfortable now. He has also troubleshooted a couple of minor problems with me over the phone as well that have saved me money and also saved me and my family from being uncomfortable with a hot house by fixing my issues immediately over the phone without having to have a tech come out. How many HVAC companies do you know that will sacrifice profits and put their customer’s satisfaction and comfort above them making money?!? In Jan. 2019 we had our whole system replaced with a Goodman AC/furnace. We upgraded with dampers, Kick Starter Kit on outside unit compressor, Inside/outside surge protectors, p trap pump with a kill switch, and am extra return air vent. Best investment we could have done. Just had the 2 ur maintenance service done and all passed check points. ABC Austin Services was professional, courteous and prompt. I highly recommend them.

No idea how they have such high reviews with such terrible administration and customer service. I booked an appointment with them for 10am. By 10:30, still nothing, and no communication about being late. I called, they said the tech was finishing up another appointment and would be there shortly. By 12:30pm, still nothing. I reach out and they say they confused me with another customer and that a tech would be on his way, but was nearly an hour away in a different city, not in the same zip code as they told me before. If they cant figure out how to communicate or even which tech is where, no way I am trusting them with my AC units.
ABC Austin Service Express is the absolute best and most honest ac company that I could find. I patiently talked with 13 other local and surrounding dripping springs ac companies and ABC was who I chose to use. They were THE only company that was honest with me about my ac issues. All of the other companies were very dishonest trying to persuade me into spending money on a completely new system. Thanks to ABC my home is cold plus I saved a lot of money !!! My wife and I woke up to a warm house one morning in August. Both of us had to travel out of town for business so I immediately started searching google and yelp for Residential HVAC contractors. I put in two calls to two larger HVAC companies that had 24/7 call centers that said a technician would call back shortly. After waiting an hour or so to hear back I started searching again and I found ABC Austin Service Express locally in South Austin. Omar the owner picked up the phone immediately and was able to get a tech to inspect my condenser by 11:00, well before I even got a call back from the larger companies technicians. I got several options from Omar right away. I called around to compare prices from two other contractors and his price and availability to get our system back up and running was best. Omar was very patient and helpful working through this via pictures and texts while I was out of town. The techs did a quality install and were very polite. Great service and price. From my experience these concepts are usually mutually exclusive in the world of contractors. Good on ABC for breaking the mold.
Omar and his team responded to my phone immediately. I didn’t have to go through an answering service to request a repair on my AC. Omar and team came out first thing in the morning and repaired my AC promptly. Omar didn’t make any promises that he couldn’t keep. His prices were acceptable and reasonable. I know that everyone is going through a difficult time right now with the freezing temperatures, no electricity, trying to keep your home warm and pipes from freezing. I purchased a new HVAC unit from Omar this past spring and with the electric company turning off and on the power for that last few days do to the storm, my system lost power. I called Omar and with him having no power himself for days...he still drove to Dripping Springs on bad roads to service my unit. I told Omar how customer service is always been so important to me when making major purchases for my Home. Omar went above and beyond any customer services Ive experience in the past. Turned out it was a burnt out Breaker switch on my circuit grid, not the unit. I appreciate you Omar!
ABC Austin Service Express are that indeed. They came out the same day and repaired my both hvac systems. I called my normal company that i had been using for a few years but they were booked for 18 days. If you live in texas you cant wait not even 1 day. Im so happy i called these guys, Omar came out and in a few hours had both ac units up and running. They are my new hvac company.

They got my folks unit up and running again even when it went out for a second time after the first repair. I am grateful for that. The price is a bit pricey, i got quoted cheaper at other locations but could not come sooner due to high demand at the moment. My main issue is the the schedule. They will give you a time frame but its not guaranteed. For example if they say between 11-2, you can expect them to come by 4. That is my only complaint.
Omar and his team did a complete system replacement on my home along with new duct work. My existing unit was undersized and not doing a good job of keeping my home comfortable. Omar came and took a look and gave me several options on different units (Seer Ratings) and let me pick the one that best fit my budget. We were sweating bullets at our house, so I called another company initially to come out, and they assured me that they would be here the next day. So when the next day arrived, they called to say that they made a mistake and couldn’t come until October. He ensures customers get their moneys worth, and also goes the extra mile to make sure insurance and warranty providers get as much information as possible to reduce the customers out-of-pocket costs. These guys are fantastic!! We hired them to install a new HVAC unit and ducts, and they did quality work. Two months after the install we discovered an issue with the new unit and they quickly came out, diagnosed the problem and made it right at no extra charge. Theyve been so great, we decided to hired them to maintain our unit at our small business as well.

Crazy Story —My neighbor across the street had a leaking evaporator coil. The neighbor next to me had their AC serviced two days ago and on the same night my AC system was acting up. Thermostat was reading 74 but inside the temp was rising to 76+ and the unit was continuously running for several hours. I immediately called a company for an AC check.The first company found that I, too, had a faulty evaporator coil (manufacture defect) and they quoted me an obscene amount of money to fix it, along with the diagnostic fee I already paid. I would have to wait several days for repairs - on to plan B...I contacted ABC Austin Service Express through text (Bella!) and not only was I quoted a fair price for the repair, they could come to my house the next day. Although the timing was a little off (scheduled between 8-10am but got to me around noon), I’m very pleased with my service and price. Omar is incredibly respectful, wanted to answer any questions I may have had, and insured that I was in good hands before the crew left.You want fast, exceptional service? Call Omar and the ABD team. I have used ABC for all my AC problems. They are always fast to come out and have knowledgeable techs who could always diagnose the issue almost immediately. I had a lot of problems this past summer with the outdoor unit and finally had to replace it. Not only were they able to replace it the same day, they beat all the other places I called on the price. I had to get my coils replaced today and once again they beat everyone else’s price. They did a fast and most importantly, clean removal and installation. I have in the past and will still recommend them to anyone who asks me. I have always dealt with either Raul or Omar and they are always on time, which seems to be the complaint with most HVAC places.. they say they will be there between 1pm-2pm and you don’t see them until 4.. ABC has always come out right on time every time. Definitely a 5 star company! As I said, I recommend them to everyone.

Great experience with Omar and his crew. Recommended by our remodel contractor, Omar was very responsive and helpful. The fan in my HVAC would run continuous, even when the heater was off. The tech spent time troubleshooting the system to determine that the high-efficiency motor (with its electronics) was the culprit. Omar provided quotes for replacing just the motor or the complete air handler (I chose the latter). His techs came as scheduled and replaced the unit, and left everything as clean as it was -- final charge was exactly what was quoted, no surprises. Very happy with the work and communication.

Omar arrived within 45 min of my call to office. Tried to fix but unit kept locking up. Recommended replacing and suggested I get a second opinion to confirm. Decided to just do it. It was 14 years old and it’s way too hot to wait for another company to tell me the same thing. Was back within an hour with the new unit, had it installed in a little over four hours, provided comprehensive invoice, cleaned up all work areas and was overall a very personable and professional rep of the company. Even rehung some duct work that had kinked up to improve airflow to some of the bedrooms. Much appreciated!!!!

ABC Austin Service Express is a great company. A week ago we had no heat when we woke up in the morning. Omar, the owner, sent his man Louis and he figured out the problem, unfortunately it involved putting in a whole new air handler unit. Louis set the system to a single zone so that we would have heat until they could come back and do the install. Louis and Juan Carlos came and installed the entire system along with a new furnace. The house is 15 years old and the furnace was going to be the next thing to go. They re-zoned the house and now we should have better airflow that will minimize hot and cold spots upstairs and downstairs. We’re very happy with the installation. They were very professional and very clean with the installation. We had ABC Austin Service Express install a new AC 5 years ago. Omar and his guys do Great work. I have been using ABC Austin Service Express for at least 2 years. I have used them for regular maintenance (air filter changes) as well as duct work and repair work. They work efficiently and fairly. They have also done work on Saturday when we are closed and they cleaned up everything very well. We were ready to open Monday morning. Awesome experience. Our ancient AC unit stopped working on a Saturday morning and it was replaced within 24 hours. The entire process was fast and painless. The business receptionist was incredible and answered a lot of my questions before I got a chance to ask them. Omar and crew are fast, efficient, and have great deals in good equipment. We requested a replacement on a Wednesday and by 2 pm on a Thursday we were up and running with a new handler, condenser, new ducting in our higher volume rooms and a purifier to boot. This was all price matched and just over 5k for an American Standard 3 ton unit load. Service cant be much better than that.

We have a few friends who recommended Omar Arredondo, the owner/operator of ABC Austin Service Express to us over the past several months when they have had A/C work done or replacement. They said Omar was an amazingly nice man and did excellent work. They all said they were very pleased with everything, so we knew that when the time came, we were going to call him for help as our unit was installed in 1997 and we knew we were living on borrowed time... for the past several years! In February of 2019, the old HVAC started making a weird noise and the next morning we had just turned it off because it sounded so bad. We got the number from our contractor who had referred Omar to our other friends and called Omar at about 8:00a.m. He came out that morning, checked it out and strongly recommended we not try to fix it but instead replace, but we already knew that. He sat and had coffee with us and talked about HVAC systems, our options, and his recommendations. I actually learned a lot that morning! The next day, his employees came with the new unit and started installing it!His installers are very polite and took a lot of care to put down protection on my floor going into where our unit is located in the garage. They asked me to be sure I was ready before checking breakers to find the one they needed to turn off. (Our house is older and the breaker box wasnt labeled well). They were very professional and hard working. Omar himself came by and helped for a while and showed me our old unit and why it was really needing replacement. After seeing that old condenser coil, let me just say that I am very much looking forward to the better air flow and air quality we will have from this point forward!Omar also made the financial part of the transaction very easy on us, helping us with financing that he has available to his customers and which option would best suit our needs.He is definitely our AC guy now and I am so grateful for the peace of mind about that as he will be maintaining it and fulfilling the 10 year warranty for us. One note - if you think its time to replace, dont wait for it to go out in the middle of Summer - which we were waiting on... we were just going to ride it until it died. But in retrospect, we are so fortunate that this didnt happen in the middle of Summer and if you replace before March 1st, you save money as A/C companies raise the prices of their units on March 1st and again on June 1st. (one of the things I learned from Omar) He really is the best!

ABC was recommended by a friend / business in the area. I was attracted by the multitude of good reviews (and the bad reviews werent bad). Unfortunately I cant rate their service because Im unable to get a call-back. Ive contacted them twice by phone and once using the Contact Us link on their web page. Its been 5 days (3 business days) and no call. Seeking service elsewhere. Having no AC is serious problem and warrants a better response.Update: Omar claims that I was called back shortly after, but that is false. Also, no voicemail was left. The call center recorded my name, address, phone number and email address. All of those items were verified on my second call at 3hrs later.

Hello my name is Nathan, Our 2006 Ac/ Heating system had to be replaced, our regular service tech moved away. Omar and his team did a really good job on my a.c. and I asked them if they could check my water heater because I had another company that wanted to sell me a new water heater. When Frank checked it and found that a $139.00 valve was bad he replaced it and its working great. These guys saved me about $1700.00 on me buying a new water heater, always get a 2nd opinion from ABC Austin Service Express they are the best.. Frank and Omar did a great job. Omar was extremely professional! I needed some insulation added/moved in my attic, so I called him. He was very honest about the work he was doing and I didnt feel like he was taking advantage of the fact I know nothing about insulation. I had a water pipe burst at 4AM that flooded the upstairs of my home. I had a terrible time trying to get everything stopped and was pretty unhappy. I called the company out and they sent out an emergency repairmen right away. Omar was super respectul and helpful and made sure to review the work he did with me before he left. I had someone from ABC come out Monday to look at my home, and they were able to come put my system in the same day! The assistant was very helpful over email answering all my questions and same when they came to my house. They were very fast and friendly. They had my entire old system taken out and new one put in in under 2 hours! Very happy experience.
Omar with abc Austin service express was very good with my ac problem. We were woken up with a load screeching noise at 4 am. I called them and he came out at 7:30 and fix the problem. Omar is Superman ... extremely happy with his work

Calling ABC Austin Service express was the best decision we ever made when it came to determining which company we were going to use to replace our Air conditioning. We are landlords and finding an AC repair service can be A headache! ABC quoted us how much everything was going to be over the phone and not a penny more. Lisa was absolutely amazing! Since we had our units previously serviced by ABC Austin Service Express, she troubleshooted our AC unit not responding over the phone. We had an Austin energy audit earlier in the day, and turns out, there was actually a hidden ‘light switch’ that wasn’t turned back on. Didn’t have to schedule service or any costs. So relieved and comfortable considering we’ve just had our first warm day this year.
I wanted everyone in the Austin area to know that if you need any help with your home air conditioner units that I highly recommend ABC Austin Service Express. I had an excellent HVAC tech named Omar come to my house and he was able to easily diagnose the issue that I was having with my air conditioner and he was able to sucessfully repair my air conditioner on the same day. It turned out to be that I needed a simple part that my A/C unit needed and it did not turn into a more expensive repair as to what I was told by two prior A/C companies had given me a quote and diagnosis. 2022-02-03I was referred to this company and I am incredibly thankful! Oscar is knowledgeable, professional, and provided impeccable service. My HVAC has been out for over a month and freezing temperatures expected that evening. He was able to diagnose the problem quickly. The parts, labor, and price was more than fair and he was able to install the same day. He also noticed a calcified copper pipe on the hot water heaters and replaced those as well - water damage averted! I will be using ABC Austin Service for expected future repairs!

2022-07-14Omar and his team were so wonderful to work with! Our a/c coil had a massive leak and the unit completely stopped working. They were super responsive, made us a priority, worked with the warranty department to get us a replacement coil asap, and were super efficient installing the new part (and ours was a complex setup). They even made sure to cover all surrounding areas with a drop cloth to keep our floors clean. They showed us the old coil (and the oil that leaked out) and the new coil to explain how it was built differently (therefore less prone to leaking) to educate us. We will definitely use them again for our second unit. I highly recommend ABC Austin Service Express!

Once we decided on what worked, he came out and installed a whole new unit. After only a few hours of work we had heat once again. 2022-03-03When my long in the tooth AC went out yet again, I knew it was time to finally bite the bullet and get it replaced. During this process, I got a few bids from several businesses - some more thorough than others, most very professional. In the end, I knew I wanted to do business with a service company based in South Austin. Like most, I feel its important to do business locally - the more local, the better.What I appreciated first about ABC Austin Service Express was the level of detail Omar provided via email for the several options I had based on the general description he had of my current system. Absolutely no pressure here - just a list of possible replacements along with ballpark pricing. While it wasnt the lowest bids I received, ABC Austin Express did provide a greater deal of detail from the get go, up front pricing, and filled my requirement of being a local company.After narrowing it down to two of the options, Omar explained the pros & cons to both. There was, again, no pressure to go with the higher priced model; just facts & figures on which to base my decision. I expressed my interest in getting this done imminently. At this point, Omar dispatched one of his crew (Luis) to take a look at the current set up. It was already late afternoon/early evening. This is where the experience went from very good to great.To provide some background, at least half of the companys that I spoke to warned me of several week delays due to supply chain issues. I was entirely prepared to wait a few weeks for my AC replacement. After reviewing my home and discussing the process with me, I told Luis we could move forward. He said they could do it the next day. With my consent, they proceeded with removing the old system that evening before returning the next morning for install.The next morning, they arrived well within the window I was promised. Omar let me know that it could be longer depending on how long it would take to pick up parts, but he set a very realistic expectation. After a decade and a half of home ownership, Im accustomed to the 4,6,8 hour window promise and someone arriving late (if not the next day). Not so here: Punctuality & professionalism are obviously things that ABC Austin Service Express take pride in.Throughout the process, Luis kept me updated and provided me with insights with what they were doing, why they were doing it, and pointing out some things that were misconfigured in my original AC install. As a technical person, albeit not in the HVAC field, I really appreciated this level of detail.The AC install was completed within the window they promised with no hidden charges and no upsell attempts. The crew took the time to thoroughly clean up behind themselves and - aside from a frosty new AC - didnt leave a trace that they were even there. The price we agreed on was the price I paid. Not to wax nostalgic too much, but it is definitely appreciated when someone honors their word and values a handshake.I was so impressed with the work they did, I went ahead and asked about getting my water heater replaced. Less than 24 hours later, I have a new water heater installed.In closing, I highly recommend giving ABC Austin Service Express a chance to earn your business. The crews are friendly, punctual, professional and take pride in their work.
