If I could give this place zero stars I would, we have been trying to schedule an appointment for my son for TWO YEARS. (Yes he is a patient) they NEVER answer the phone, and my sons Medicaid got CANCELLED because of their lack of communication. Don’t bother leaving messages they don’t call you back, now it’s time for me to get my child registered in school and they still have not answered the phone, so we walked in today to see if we can get his shot records to take him somewhere else and the lady at the desk straight up told me to come back on Monday because the girl working today doesn’t know what she’s doing. UNPROFESSIONAL DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!
Have spent over 30 minutes and over 13 phone calls trying to make a doctor appointment. Who runs this place? Answer the phone!!! This is absolutely ridiculous. My 13 month old son has been a patient for a year. So far I have had really good experiences. He has seen Dr. Groot, Dr. Lawson, and 1 other female I forget her name. They are very nice and they dont pressure me to vaccinate since I dont do vaccines. The nurses are also very nice. I give 4 stars because this place needs improvement when it comes to the reception side. There has been more than one occasion I could not get through to make a doctors appointment. The phone rings and rings, then it goes to voicemail. I have left a voicemail and no one calls me back. They need to hire more staff for scheduling appointments. I have spent over 30 min trying to get through to make an appointment before.
Heres my experience:I applied and was accepted to use their services. I havent visited before.A phone call I made to them:Me: I fell down the stairs. I think I broke my wrist.Them: Ok, I see you havent been seen here before. The soonest we can see you is next Friday.Me: ... No, I mean I think I broke my wrist. I need an x-ray and maybe a cast or something. I dont know, but it hurts and I need to be seen and cant wait a week.Them: Well, youre still considered a new patient as you havent been seen before. We will need to get you in for a new patient appointment before we can make an appointment for that. You can always go to the emergency room.Me: I cant afford that.It really sucks to be poor. Access health should be your last scenario, and even then, good luck. Big waste of time.
Extremely horrible experience!!! I had an appointment yesterday at 5:00PM. I arrived on time, filled out some paperwork, paid for my appointment, and sat in the waiting room. I WAITED FOR 2 HOURS!!! After the long wait a nurse had the audacity to step outside a tell me, Oh we thought you had left... We cant take you anymore. What kind of clinic schedules patients, makes them wait for a very long time, to not attend them?!
They seem to really try their hardest to work with each and every individual based upon their immediate needs.Registration upon first contact is required. Depending on the registrant, they will pay a sliding scale fee on Access Health services.It is a discount clinic, not insurance.Appointments, depending on what area of medicine is needed, may take a fews days or a few months. Depending on the severity, they will appoint a visit quickly.
Dr. Degroot should get a 5- start rating for her quality of care, but the office staff is TERRIBLE at answering phone calls. I don’t understand how they’re making money if patients can’t get an appt easily. Corporate office should consider an online scheduling service for customers.... because they clearly don’t have a good model for running the office.
If you get sick and need to be seen the next day or that week, this isnt the place. Theyre always overbooked. I was told they can see me in four weeks or I can come in on Friday and wait there all day, to see if anyone cancels or doesnt show up to their appointment. And I can do this every Friday up to the date of my appointment. Smh And when you call them, they put you on hold for a while. I was on hold for nearly 10 mins. And when you do seek out outside treatment they dont fill their scripts. I was told that I need to make an appointment there and be seen and re diagnosed so that the doctors can write me the same scripts. But remember theres a wait in appointments. If youre not seeking urgent treatment and dont mind waiting for a month to be seen, then this is the place for you. And if youre unfortunate, ill and uninsured then you dont have any reasonable choices. Either wait it out or rack up an expensive hospital bill.
I just want to give a BIG thank you to Wanda! at the Richmond location she literally went above and beyond to make sure i was taken care of i was in a total panic attack not able to get a hold of my actual Dr. and she reassured me that everything was going to be fine she was so helpful and even gave me some numbers for help! cant thank her enough.
This clinic is horrible! While the receptionists are wonderful, the nurses and doctors are EXTREMELY rude. One of them accused me of lying, when I told them I never received a voicemail. I even printed them my phone record and showed I never received ANY call. They take FOREVER to give a call back, waited over a week and nothing. They told me my drug test came back negative for my meds. Well DUH, Thats because I ran out of medicine because they took SOOO long to write me another prescription!! Avoid this place at all costs. Even if another provider costs a little more, This place is TERRIBLE. They charge me EVERY TIME for my drug test and appointment too when its THEIR FAULT I have to come back again.
Ive had good experiences at AH. Dr. Rodriguez is wonderful and caring and helping me deal with my health issues. She is warm, sympathetic and has a gentle bedside manner. I feel extremely fortunate with her. I have also found that the supervisory staff at AH is very proactive; I have worked with Bridget and she has been supportive and thorough. I am thankful for AH, for Dr. Rodriguez and all she has done for me.
Gave birth around 4 months ago , Dr.Vigil deserves a 5 star awesome doctor and explains everything clearly and did awesome when it was delivery time , All nurses and other doctors assisting on the Obygn area are very friendly and make you feel comfortable, they do take a little while but good service. 😇
This place is a complete joke!! Do not go here! First off my husband goes here due to not having no insurance. He goes in for what turned out to be a stomach bacteria infection but after so many visits and misdiagnosed by having his ribs xrayed and making him keep going back for follow ups/lab results and paying each time. I really think they do this on purpose to make money. But anyhow if you call and ask to talk to a supervisor they give you a nurse every time. So now after going here and trying to get my husband well hes still very sick and its been 3 months! I dont know where these Drs here came from but they are very inexperienced and have no idea what they are doing. I also would like to share that when and if you get a apportionment soon you can only go and tell the Dr 1 or 2 things thats wrong if its more than 2 things that your going for they tell you to make another appointment for another day....ridiculous!! But again just to make money they claim its to limit the time with each patient but I dont understand if I have to wait 30minutes or more in the exam room every time! I have now changed this place from being my own PCP they will let me die before they help me get better and they dont care at all!
No one likes to have to seek medical attention but when you have to... Come to Next Level urgent care. This is my 3rd time here unfortunately but each visit has been quick, warm & professional. So far they had all the tools & technology needed to fix us up. They accept insurance too!
I am desperately trying to get a hold of you guys. No one answers the phone. No one calls back, no one answers the emails. I am in a situation where you may be my only choice for my childs mental health care and for the life of me I have no idea why no one can answer the phone, return a call, or send an email. What is going on over there? And I have seen your other reviews where you say Please Email because I have and no one responds.Is this the only way to get you to respond? Calling you out publicly?
After waiting for hours to be seen by the nurse of the OB. I finally got a 2min if that talk of not sure if the Dr will take you on as youre 37 weeks Ill ask. To be told a moment later ok come back for this appointment. I was ill on the morning of the appointment i rang an hr and a half beforehand to ask for a later time. This wasnt a problem apparently, the nurse would email me. I spent all day ringing and nobody knew where the nurse was as only she could do anything. I then speak to the supervisor that said shes not in we didnt know. (WOW)! So she asked the Dr about appointments and if anything could be done. Only appointments left were for nov 27th so i asked to be put on that and held until the nurse got back to me. They still werent sure when shed be in though. The nurse never got in touch. Today i ring up to be told a pack of lies and now the OB refuses to take me on as my pregnancy is far along (38weeks) now after wasting a week on this place! All i needed was a scan and a date for my csection at hospital that i HAVE TO HAVE! The nurse didnt care whatsoever. Just a lot of ummmmhs and well i wasnt in for 5days so i dont know, i just see these messages one of which is a lie!.I am Very angry and disappointed and now told nothing i can do, find another Dr. Very helpful and caring i dont think. Dont go here if you need real help.
It’s only reasonable. They do take to long, to see you after you even have appointment. It’s really ridiculous. As many people they have they should make it a lot faster to see someone. And this is on the adult side, as fare as I know. Every time I come I have to wait at least 45 minutes to get seen. They need a whole lot better quicker staff and also nicer staff in the front check in area.
My family and I relocated from NY, I was so picky about who I wanted my 4month old (at the time) to see, so I prepared to Dr. Hop until I found the perfect fit. Thankfully I never had to leave Access Health as all of their pediatrician are as kind as they are skilled in child care. I recently gave brith to our second child and she too will visit this location. Still I agree with previous posts, Its best to go early otherwise you may be in for a bit of a wait.
No one ever picks up, no one ever calls back even after you leave a message, its going on 72 hrs since I called and left a message and still they are yet to call back and I have called in between to see if I can get a hold of someone and phone rings , machine comes on and after a while it directs you to leave a message. This is just terrible practice for a health care facility .
Refused my daughter her booster without a checkup had already missed 4 days of school and wanted me to wait 7 more days! And they lost her shot records! Since she was 6 she has gone here and I cant believe they lost such important documents. I changed my kids Dr immediately.
These people are so horrible! My husband and I walked in as new patients; my husband had severely injured his knee and was in excruciating pain. The desk clerk made him walk up to sign an electronic device and made him stand there and then told another girl to get him a wheelchair and she did. After over an hour (our appt was at 1:20 pm and we got called at 2:20 pm), he finally was called back, after I went up to another desk clerk and bitched about us waiting for over an hour, my husband was called back to a room, where we waiting almost another 30 minutes before the dr got there. We told her we were there for a referral to an orthopaedic specialist and a perscription for vicodin for his pain. She offered my husband a shot of Tramodol, which he accepted, another person brought a sheet of referrals to orthopaedic specialists in the area and the nurse gave him a written perscription for vicodin, which was written wrong by the physician. So after going to TWO pharmacists and trying to reach the Dr (it is now 3:45 pm), we were told that she was gone for the day and there was no one there to re-write my husbands perscription, so he has to go yet another night in excruciating pain! I HATE that Doctor for doing this to him and I am changing our PCP dr yet again with Blue Cross Blue Shield of Texas. OBAMACARE SUCKS AND SO DOES ACCESS HEALTH. I would not take my WORST enemy to that place! The drs are incompetent! The nurses and staff are rude as Hell! Save the money for going to that place and go to another one!
Traveled an hour to take my girlfriend today to see a doctor and was told we had to come back on Monday. Then they proceeded to talk about people in spanish like we didn’t understand. Worst clinic in Texas. I don’t understand why we couldn’t see a doctor when there was literally no one there.
I almost Died going here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Do not go here!!!!!!!!They do not care about your life!!!!!!!!! They all hate working there and are all underpaid workers. They think all the patients are low income living off the government and dont treat the patients with respect. Please If you care about your family and children do NOT put there health at risk by being treated by MONSTERS!!!!!!!
I am so fortunate that I was able to switch my doctors to this Clinic I have had nothing but good experiences since I started seeing the doctors there they have helped me to be able to get more information for my diagnosis and Im able to go and see Specialists and whenever I need anything all I have to do is call and ask and if they dont have the information right away they will take down my information and they always call me back within the same day shortly after to answer any of my questions or concerns are to help with refills of medicines they have just been an amazing asset to my life.
I LOVE Dr Degroot and her Nurses.. Especally Star!!!! she is a wonderful careing Nurse. After my son had an Anxeity attack and his psycitrics would not percibe any medcine. I call DR Degroot!! 😌 and she help me with the problem and Star called and made sure I was ok and talked to me about the Medicine💊💊 that I was going to give my son. Star also called back the next day to make sure my son was ok and to see if he was doing ok with the Medicine.... If it wasnt for these to two wounderful loving people. I would have another sleepless night. I owe it to Access Medical
They all are so freaking annoyiong..when i went to their clinic they told me to call them and make an appointment its been 3 days i have been calling them nun of them pickup their phone..i think they should just die ..they are soo fraking annoying i hate them would never reference anyone
I called right at 7 and wouldnt answer I really need an appointment to go back to college so I wont get kicked out and they said sorry u should of called right at 7 when I did all I need was for them to check my surgery that I got 2 weeks ago very disappointed with the clinic its the worst of all
The absolute worst service I have ever received from a Drs. Office. Workers are completely incompetent. Had an appointment for my daughter today (mind you I had to take off work for this) 8/15/2022 at 7:45am. When I get there the lady in the front informs me that they cant see my daughter due to an error on their end. I did my part by changing my provider on my daughters insurance. DO NOT COME HERE. They are all completely unprofessional and the supervisors are useless. Go somewhere else except this sorry excuse of a clinic!!!
I went to schedule an appointment since August and they gave it to me until today, October 26, (according to being a new patient) I arrived and signed up 15 minutes before (I dont know if this bothered the, lady, secretary) I had the appointment, at 1 : 30 and he calls me and tells me that the doctor did not go, but he did not return to anyone only to me, and now he gave it to me for January 25, 2022, it seems a long time to me, I would like new patients to tell me if this is so with everyone or just with me, this happened.All this seemed very strange to me, but anyway, I hope that on January 25, if God allows me to arrive, I will not change it for May or June.
I have always been to the Richmond clinic and I really like the service they are very friendly but today they left much to be desired call to make an emergency appointment because my child is sick and I told the person who attended me that I wanted an appointment and I look at me My child was the first time that he went and said that they could not treat him ... then he tells me that there are no doctors available if they do not have doctors to open the clinic ... my son is very ill but to the seriousness of taking him to the hospital and less in these times of pandemic ...
Excellent option to attend general medical conditions at prices according to your earnings, for adults and children. Personal Professionals and available in good aptitude and attitude for the general public. Very good facilities for the comfort of employees and patients.
Hello, this place is nice. Clean and you get a spectacular treatment. I love it. I live 30 minutes away but it is worth giving me the trip. And most importantly they attend you at the time they give you the apoiment. Thank you for your attention So nice and organized.

2022-07-25Had my appt this morning for 7:45. When I called a week ago I specifically asked are you accepting new ob patients im pregnant? They said yes and scheduled me an appointment. I get to my appointment just for her to ask for my number and then say oh we had the wrong number we couldnt call to tell you we are not accepting new ob patients. Yet 2 hours prior to my appt they sent text msg to my phone as well as emails. I do believe this was the doctor not wanting to take me in because last year I wasnt able to see her to full term due to super Sensitive issues. A waste of time when I could have made an appt elsewhere since last week.

2022-06-13In all honesty since our first day here it has been horrible. Very unprofessional employees and under qualified especially in this industry where you would expect the best for your health. The receptionists in each department would constantly gossip out loud criticizing and insulting everyone that walks by. I will never recommend this place to anyone

2022-01-16I have been waiting for my blood work results but I don’t get a call from them. They have the results in but the DR doesn’t review it so that the nurse could call me back for the response. I want to know my results. The Took my urine sample but only checked for the infections they didn’t want to confirm the pregnancy I did a home pregnancy test before I went to the clinic and I told him that I did that and I was positive but he still should’ve checked it when they took my urine sample. The person that I went to she was not really a gynecologist she was just a physician so she didn’t even do an ultrasound at the clinic she referred me to someone else after a week or so I got the appointment and then she confirmed the pregnancy. The ultrasound technician couldn’t tell me the baby’s heartbeat how much was it she told me the doctor will tell me and she took the measurement of the baby also same thing the doctor will tell me I mean this is if she’s a gynecologist she should’ve done everything at her clinic

2022-04-15Every time I would bring my elderly parents here to see Dr. Rodriguez it’s as if she was always in a bad mood or scolding them for their health issues. I would say given the population that this clinic services, health care professionals should be more understanding and compassionate.

2021-11-30I tried to get an appointment for four times but l couldn’t. I called the stuff two times in October 2021 and two times in November they told me no appointment until 2022. Then after l were upset with them they give an appointment in 24 of February. It means l have to wait two months to see my doctor. I am 71 years old and I have not see my doctor since April 2021. Bad experience with the stuff.

2021-03-01I had an appointment with Dr. Varghese on Monday, February 22nd. I was sent a confirmation text and call the day before however when I arrived for my appointment it had been cancelled by the doctor without any reasonable explanation. I was not called about this as my voicemail isn’t even set up nor was I emailed about this. After waiting over a month for my appointment, taking a day off work, and wasting time driving and waiting at check in for 30 minutes I was met with utter disappointment and was shocked to see that a doctor with good ratings would be this unprofessional and inconsiderate. When I asked for her email to voice my concerns, the MA refused to disclose it. To make matters worse, when I came in with my mom for her appointment today, she was treated just as poorly. The nurses have no sense of professionalism. They didn’t respond properly to any greeting, raised their voice when asking about flu shots for absolutely no reason, and didn’t even allow me to go in with my mother to help her translate to the doctor. The staff is a direct representation of the type of care you will get at this place. I definitely DO NOT RECOMMEND.
