Addison Apartments at the Park in other cities:
I do not recommend this rental, the manager personally this in my rental and the deal was that they paint the bathtub to renovate firm and they never fixed it and in the end they charged me for the bathtub as new pure throws me and a whole problem. But God will take care of all peronsa that hurts in this life, remember that you will not leave this life without paying all the damage done before. Amen
My shower is straight up lukewarm after not touching the hot water for OVER 8 HOURS. In no way is it worth it to pay over $1100 a month when your hot water is dependent on 4 to 10 other units. A unit’s hot water should be just that unit’s. Instead I’m out of hot water more often than I’m not when I do go to shower. Woefully unacceptable.I can’t count how many times I’ve submitted a maintenance ticket for the hot water just for them to be ignored.
Absolutely Horrible! great surroundings bad apartments. Never helpful , NO GYMS ( which is included in amenities) WASHER /DRYERS does half the job IF THEY WORK THAT DAY . Inside of apartments are dirty on move in . Lots of Ticks/flies around the area . If I had a option I’ll go back homeless . Not worth the price AT ALL !
Literally something wrong in my building on a weekly basis. They didn’t even clean out my oven in my apartment when I moved in.But the bottom lock to my front door is stuck. And I submitted a maintenance request. Cannot even enter into my front door and they take 3-5 days to fix the smallest things that have the biggest impact
This is my first ever review and you can tell why I had to do it. I tried calling this place 100s of time to get answers. Nobody picks up the phone. They assigned out of state lady to help with my move in and she barely replies. I made payment on their site and, it doesnt even apply to rent and stays as credit when my bank account is already charged. E-renter insurance site they have doesnt even have all address to sign up. I had to get external insurance as I couldnt reach out to anyone to help. As if they intentionally not want to place to be safe. Places look nice in pictures but the complexes are old (I drove by last month) and doesnt seem to have cared for from outside. I read multiple reviews after this and regretted my choice on picking this place. I wanted to move in from Louisiana and it has been very very though. I regret signing lease with them even before moving in. I bet the stay will be horrible as how management is. Lord help me on my stay here.
Their application process is through text message and online only. I cant get anybody to talk to me. I completed an application, paid the fee, purchased insurance, and uploaded a picture of my DL. I was then contacted through text that I needed to show my actual social security card. I provided multiple forms of ID, state and federally issued, but they would not process my application without a social card. SS offices have been closed for two years. I got a text that said I have 24 hours to provide it, or they will cancel my reservation. Then an hour later they canceled the reservation. They havent said why they need the actual ssn card. They wont reply. They dont have phones. They wont refund the fee, which is supposed to be a processing fee... but they didnt even process my application because of their bait and switch tactics. The leasing consultants wont reply. Rachel C please call me.
Just moving in and thanks to Ashley and Belinda that I got everything done and ready to move in on time. Belinda is so awesome and funny. I would recommend this apartment to anyone whos looking because they dont play about getting you in and settled into your new home.
My family and I have been here for over five years. We have firsthand knowledge of this places demise. They have a lot of wasp and roach problems. My bathrooms ceiling has caved in due to a plumbing issue. As well as faucets that leak 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The card system is down, so you cant load it, or the laundry rooms are out of order. Due to a rupture, the machines themselves are broken. Every week, the garbage is unbelievable! Not to mention the fact that when you do submit in the work ticket, it is ignored for months! The staff always repeats the same thing Ill send an email to you. Ill state in that email that youll have to create a new ticket for each problem.
Up-side-maintenance people come out within like a week of requests we dont have a major bug issue the office staff is super nice. Downs-its difficult to get your packages because they dont have any late hours, You have to pay for parking to guarantee you a spot but every time they have events the parking fills up with people for the events and not with residence, Our pool is almost never cleaned, and when you actually have an emergency maintenance request they take two hours to get back with you. They are now charging you to receive your own packages, and you do not have a choice. There is also no parking during events, some events they put up signs that say no event parking and others they dont. So you pay for parking and then come home to find there are NO spots for you!
My review is not about the apartment complex itself. I did not have any problems, while I was there. the leasing staff were very polite and respectful. Belinda and her team were always nice to me and my family. My real problem is the management company. The billing department is located in Florida. I have tried several times to get help with rental relief that was approved. Ive sent emails with no response. I received a final bill with pictures, that included over $1000 in cleaning fees. I was in disbelief, when I viewed the pictures, because some of the pictures were not of my apartment. The shower curtain in of the pictures, is not the one I had in my bathroom. What kind of joke is this? Are they trying to make me pay someone elses cleaning bill? This is going to be fixed, because Im not paying for charges that dont belong to me. Were very disappointed by this whole situation.
Though moving in was a very pleasant and easy when I came to these apartments in 2021, I have to say the process of renewing my lease was not. I was offered 3 lease renewals all with at least a $150-$200 raise in price for the 2022 year. This would be acceptable if this were a newer apartment complex with up to date appliances and renovations. However, the quality of these apartments, though decent, is no where near a rent increase of $150-$200 after only one year of residency. When inquiring about the increase and if there would be a way to mitigate that to something more reasonable, I was told that this apartment complex adheres to a “market price” so there was nothing that could be done. It is unfortunate because the area is very nice as are the surrounding apartments but the quality of these apartments does not match what is considered “reasonable” rent. I suggest doing research before choosing these apartments. If you’re looking for affordable housing of good quality, I would not suggest these apartments.
I lived here for 6 months, no proper response when called, poor quality. On my move out day someone stole things from my apartment, they(maintenance guys) entered my apartment without my permission and they were trying to blame me. When complained about this, manager was no apologetic instead was rude in behavior. Police is investigating.
Im currently on a loop with maintenance.1. We moved in and we immediately walked into a leaking toilet and roaches. Clearly nobody quality checked the apartment before we moved in. We put a maintenance order with specific instructions to come on Saturday. They came in unannounced TWICE when we were NOT HOME. I have legal concerns but at least it got fixed...2. We put a work order in 4 days ago because whoever painted the apartment decided to PAINT OVER the coax outlet (so its smothered in dry paint) that you need to get spectrum wifi. Ive spoken with 4 people about it and was told it was assigned to be fixed on Tuesday. Since then its been excuses and loops on their service support. All I need is to have someone from maintenance put a new coax cable outlet on the wall.I genuinely hope that the poor quality check before we moved in will be the only issues and I can leave a better review at some point. And that the roaches are manageable.
Im leaving the first review because its still an incident that happened that I wasnt happy about. However, I did want to say that Belinda has always been helpful, kind and always willing to do her very best to make me feel welcome. All the office staff is wonderful. Im happy to be here!I havent even been here a full month and Im disappointed. Last night, the tank of my toilet started leaking. I live on the second floor and was concerned about damage and the downstairs unit. Called the emergency maintenance line at 5 pm (twice so someone would eventually answer) to initially report the issue. No one ever came. I called at 6, 630 and 7 asking about an ETA. By 8, the tank had emptied on my floor, used up all my towels and I was resigned to assume no one was coming. Called this morning and guess I got dispatched again? I wont know till someone shows up. Till then, I cant flush my own toilet. This is on top of every single line of communication with the apartment being absolutely IMPOSSIBLE to reach someone. Email, text, never answered and if you try to call Im pretty sure the phones ringer is off. Not a great start.
Day 1 of moving in, my “smart” lock was non-functional, they were able to fix it after a couple hours, but while there one of the management noted that I was missing a blind panel on the sliding glass door. She said she would have it fixed ASAP. Here we are a year later, and it’s still missing. I had a concern about my shower not working correctly, so I put in a maintenance request. The problem is that the handle spins around and is like cracking a safe to try to reach the right temperature. But the maintenance man they sent barely understood English, making it extremely hard to relay the concern. He just caulked the beauty ring back on, and called it a day. When the big freeze happened in Feb. 2021, the building I live in was without hot water for days, and the laundry room connected to it was out of service for almost an entire month afterwards. All the while after the storm, their communication through email was sporadic, and in those emails promised dates that the water and laundry would be fixed, but delayed several times. They offered no relief on rent or utilities after failing us for almost a month in these areas. They have said they want to move to being a paperless company, but barely respond to emails, if at all. Even after they got the laundry room in “working” order, several machines have been unusable, and they never replaced the folding counter nor the bench inside. The laundry rooms are poorly maintained, and you can only re-up the balance in certain laundry rooms across the complex. The grounds are messy with trash, and the parking lot is quite rough throughout. 4 or 5 separate times the police have had to break down doors in my building alone, and there are 40-50 buildings in this complex. I would not recommend this apartment complex to anyone you care about.
I did a virtual tour and spotted poor , poor quality they are not showing on their site. Just look or zoom in on my pictures or screenshots I took from the virtual tour. All apartments in Dallas want to charge NYC prices and say its based on market but if your apartments are trash, you cant charge high prices. Tile with nasty grout. Broken tiles and old things painted over with white paint and etc. Just do a virtual tour before they remove it and look at the bathrooms. These apartments give me built in the 80s and still there in the 80s with a bit of new paint.
Had some leasing challenges with their corporate office out of Colorado due to my not fully grasping the timeline of the process and the potential to lose my App fee and leasing opportunity. Once I brought it up to the attention of the onsite rental place office, Belinda and her Manager Chris were able to reach out to Corporate and get my issue resolved in less than an hour. I was so pleased with how things were handled and it showed teamwork and true concern for the renter. Thanks Belinda, Chris and Jessica in Colorado. Your company truly embodies the essence of quality service and ensuring your clients are fully satisfied. Will highly recommend the Addison Apartments at The Park.
Checking in to tour this place was an absolutely fun experience! Berlinda has such a lovely personality and the team was very professional and made sure that I understood how to maneuver around the property on our own! The apartments are extremely spacious and the complex is pretty huge! It is also right across from the school so it is actually pretty great for families as well! It area is a relatively quiet area as well! The keys are also smart home keys so you would have a code that only you would know to get inside your unit so its completely secure! Overall I had a great time and I would recommend this place! Even just for Berlinda :D
I’ve lived here for seven months and have had nothing but good experiences. If you’re looking to move in, know you’re paying mostly for location so don’t expect the world and a half. I’m hardly at home and personally love being five minutes from 635 and ten minutes from downtown Dallas because I’m constantly on the go. However, that doesn’t mean I don’t love my townhome. It’s spacious and fits myself, my two big dogs, and my roommate. Maintenance has always been super responsive and I’ve never felt any ounce of distrust in what they do. The complex has always sent out emails about if water is gonna be turned off for whatever reason so you’re never left to find out for yourself. My neighbors are super kind and one of them has lived here for about a decade, I believe. If I had a con, it’d be that there are times where they don’t really answer phone calls, but they always get back to me within two days so that’s alright for me. I’d recommend this place to anyone, really.
Addison at the park Apts is superb I love it here. The staff is super friendly, knowledgeable and cares about your needs. I strongly encourage anyone who values professionalism, integrity, and kindness to rent here. The Apts are amazing and are in great area with affordable pricing!
I Just moved here to the area a month ago and I must say I lovvveeee it . Very quiet , clean , and well maintained. Work orders are completed very fast with quick response. Very quiet little to no noise fromNeighbors or surrounding, staff very helpful and friendly . I would absolutely recommend to anybody looking .
We talked to 3 different people within 30 minutes on Friday and got 3 totally different stories, prices and availability. We were sitting in the parking lot of the complex, just wanting to see the outside of the spaces available and no no one could direct us. Two could not tell us what was available and the other one that could, could not tell us what building it was in - just told us to drive around and find it ourselves. Totally chaotic and unprofessional. Then we pulled up their reviews and saw the same poor quality of service from people who actually lived there. Thanks to their incompetent staff, we will not live there - and we thank them for that!
** I HAD TO REPOST ** STOP REMOVING MY REVEW NOT A GOOD LOOK**To anyone who has only spent 48hrs and already leaving reviews while theyre on the pink cloud of a new apartment. Please wait until you complete your lease. Its crazy to me to read reviews of people who havent even moved into these apartments yet.Do you rate a restaurants food before you are served? Exactly.I moved here in 2018, I absolutely loved it. Such a great deal for a Townhome for such a great area. That mood lasted for about 5months until the neighborhood went downhill. The once peaceful, quiet and respectful community started deteriorating, FAST. By the time I moved out, I hated every single second I had to live there. Loud music, constant sports cars and bikes being driven around, honking, loud talking, men sitting on my stoop smoking cigarettes 8-10 at a time (what do these guys do for a living?) One by one, I saw my old neighbors leaving, being replaced by new ones that did not have an ounce of respect for the community.I think the property decided QUANTITY $$$ was better than QUALITY. Dont let the location fool you, if you love loud, obnoxious, constantly noisy and traffic jammed location, this is it. If you prefer safety, quiet and peace when youre in your home, I suggest you run far form this place. The only reason I give this even 2-stars was because of a man named Chris, I dont know if hes still there or not but he was the community director. He took our concerns seriously and did what he could. Ultimately thats where the buck stopped.Besides, look around you, the new apartments are going up fast, this location wont be around much longer. Look elsewhere, thank me later.
I recently moved out of my apartment after 3 years. Aside from a few minor issues, I had a positive experience living at Addison Apartments at the Park.Unfortunately, things fell apart after I moved out. In spite of leaving the apartment in commensurate condition and thoroughly cleaning it, I got a “Final Account Statement” with over $400 in “Additional Charges”. None of the office staff at Addison Apartments could assist because “another group handles billing”. Turns out I needed to engage “UDR”, which apparently is out of state and they will not speak to you over the phone (email only). I went back and forth over email and they dropped $285 off my “additional charges” (with no explanation provided). I suspect they knew it was a bogus charge and backed off. I am still pushing back as the last statement still shows I owe over $100 is “additional charges”.Summary: I believe Addison Apartments is operated by a parent corporate entity (UDR) which is remote (I believe in CO). Turns out UDR is very difficult to deal with. At best they are incompetent and completely dysfunctional in terms of customer service (as noted, they will not even speak to you). At worst, they invent ways to scam their tenants.11/26 update:Now UDR has sent the bogus charges to their collection agency (without answering my questions)... [sigh]. Disappointing as my overall experience living at the apartment was pretty good.
ONE BIG CON THAT NEEDS TO BE ADDRESSED* floor plan photos on site dont match apartment interiorsApartment complex 3 starsProsuses keypads for door entryplentiful parkingprime locationconsapartments interior leave much to be desiredcottonwood looks to be the cheaper complex and in turn visibly looks like it is not as well taken care of as the other 2 or 3 complexes they have on sitefloor plan layout pictures dont match the apartment interiorsMisses berlinda or linda ( I forget her name )5/5 stars! She is what MAKES this place home for the tenants!Sweetest person i have ever metShe really took care of my mother during her stay at these apartments and deserves praise for her professionalism!I am moving to this area and have noticed a dramatic hike in price during the summer season so i will be moving to another complex this year but plan on looking into these apartments when I move again next year in the winter.
The location is great and so are the ammedies pool, gym close to lots of parks bars and restaurants, but really work on your infrastructure. Mataience needs to be taken more seriously when I moved in the internet cable was cut, and some of the closet and shower rods where loose as well as the refrigerator bulb missing. My 2nd complaint is packages rarely get here reliably. With those 2 things fixed it would be a five star everything else is great.
Why has reviewed has been removed. This is worst apartment to live in. So much problem . please do let us know if someone has seen this accident. As police officer has said that this apparent has worst management to cooperate with . This is third time stuff from car has been stolen and now car has been wrecked. Please share this comment to every person that we can find the culprit.
The office management insisted I write them a review so here it is.This is my first year living here. My boyfriend lived here previously and was transferring to another apartment to live with me.First time contacting them:I called the office to ask for someone to break down the lease, application fees, deposits etc. The lady who answered told me they would give me a call back to discuss once they pull out the lease etc. They did not call back.I then went to the office in person, got everything squared away with the lease, paid first months rent. And told them we would have a Cat. Manager stated we could pay the pet fee later on and would give us TWO WEEKS to pay the fee.2 days later, we get an email stating we would get evicted if pet fee was not paid by the following day. What I also found unfair is they gave my boyfriend 1 day to transfer. That is not enough time. They changed their mind once we complained but they need to seriously think about giving people more time to move out in the future.Upon moving in:The AC is terrible. During the day it gets to 80 degrees inside. I have a baby and told them I needed the AC to work ASAP. Maintenance stated there was nothing they could do because it was too hot outside and their ACs could not lower the temperature lower than 80. I have never lived anywhere where this was the case in the summer. If it was just me here I wouldn’t have cared as much but I have a baby so the AC being 80 inside is not okay.Other complaints:Cosmetics not up to par: office said “don’t worry about it”Water leaks in when it rains from the back door(they came to fix it but it still leaks)The floors are crazy squeaky. Stairs are squeaky as well. The stairs have nails that poke through the carpet so I can’t walk barefoot because I will hurt myself.Window sills are not leveled. Closet rods not leveled.Basically, the quality of the apartment is not up to par. That is all I have for now, please stay tuned. I will write another review upon moving out as well.
Honestly not worth the hassle. Its not a good area: my roommate and I call police sirens our nightly lullaby because of how frequently we hear them in the evenings. They overcharge: the low rent is great and all, but then they hit you with absolutely absurd water bill charges that pretty much negates that (we got charged for $50 for a month in which we only had hot water for two weeks). Laundry is a disaster: the onsite laundromates cost $8+ per load for washing and drying, and dont actually accomplish either. No in-unit w/d hookups so especially dont live here if you dont have another source of clothes washing nearby. The apartments themselves are porous, so expect high electricity bills in the cold and hot months. The parking lots have several potholes in them so big youd swear you could be buried alive if you dont drive around them. Its quite a shame, really, because its almost a great place to live. Rent is cheap, the apartments are actually quite comfortable (I really like our unit, bill/electricity issues aside) and the proximity to Vitruvian park is enjoyable as well. Unfortunately, the overwhelming downsides more than offset the benefits of living here. There are just too many complexes in northern Dallas that are just as cheap but dont gouge on expenses and have working laundry facilities. I highly recommend that you dont bother trying to live here, its not worth the effort.A lot of these 5 star ratings are extremely suspicious, reviews of visiting rather than actually living here. Take them as you will but Id say be suspicious. Theres no customer service here, its actually impossible to get them on the phone.
I love living at AAATP! The area is beautiful and peaceful! Been here 4 years! Safe environment for kids and everything is so close by! Everyone is great at the leasing office and I personally can always count on Berlinda to respond to my concerns in a timely manner. She’s always very attentive and personable! Thank you for everything you do!
I live at this community from May 2019 to Apr 2021. First unit 2b 2b apartment ground floor. The apartment was bigger than my last. Since I’ve moved to TX I’ve seen roaches (From MI) not common where I’m from. Soon after moving in we had uninvited roommates from the roaches to waterbugs(HUGE ROACHES) even snakes. I had two snakes in my living room in which I was alerted by my children who saw them each time. As a mother this had me very concerned for the safety of me and my children. When I moved in I did notice a spot on the ceiling of the dining room but didn’t have hunk much of it. My children’s father looked at the spot and determined it was mold. Contacted the office (during COVID) they took the spot out of the ceiling but left if exposed until I moved which was for a few months. Since my lease was coming to an end I decided we would move. Difficulty with finding reasonable accommodation with limited time I decided on transferring another unit. This place does not require proof or documentation so I knew I would have any issues with getting approved again. Transferred to the 2b 1 1/2b smaller than the apartment. Now rent is $1456 for this unit which is 1080sqft. Pool view was nice but people stayed and partied well after 10pm closing time. There is no security or cameras. There’s a strange man who lives in the gym. Almost thought I moved to the oakcliff area very ghetto. I understand times are hard but my neighbors literally had over 4-5 adults in their homes and 4+ children in two bedroom units. My furnace went out which cause us to flip the switch every 5 minutes for heat about 2-3 minutes of heat. This went on for a few days as my boyfriend begged that they bring an electrician after he told them the furnace would need to be replaced. After going back and forth an electrician came out to say it would need to be replaced in fact it was over 20+ years old and all of them needed to be replaced. We were not offered heaters, wood for the fireplace or a hotel room, NOTHING! My children and I were literally freezing for a week before the furnace was replaced. During the winter storm power and water was out. Now they are overcharging us for the utilities. I had to put a rug over my steps to stop the draft that could blow a candle out. In the summer it was extremely hot almost unbearable. It was hard to regulate the temperature when hot and cold air just comes in. The units are not worth what they are offering them for. If I can attach photos I will. I only want to warn others of what they may be getting into. I tried addressing these issues with the company and staff but every get defensive and rude, still no resolution.
This place is kind of hill the first month will not show u but after they make sure u spend it your bills will start rising month after month without even giving u details for what this bills and from where it comes I dont recommend any body to live in this property or dealing with UDR apartments
In spite of the great location and Vitruvian park being right across the street and having them remodeled many apartments. I would suggest to consider other options. It is a very old apartment complex with old a/c units that they just do not work properly. I had to call many times for them to fix it....and when they finally fix it (after a month) the leaking problem started. If you get amazon deliveries often...do not ask them to drop it off at this location because most likely it will get stolen. It happened to me twice. In their neighbor website they had people mentioning breaking into cars....the place started to get very loud. The positive things to say:. Ryan from leasing office is amazing, easy to get approved and fast adminstration (you get to know the same day you apply), good location and brand new appliances. When I moved in they gave me the apartment with the bath tub recently painted (they even mentioned not to shower the first couple of days). This thing started to peel off after the first month and they said it was my fault because I put a mat on it. Anyway...they are charging for re coating it.
One leasing office that serves Talisker, Garden Oaks, Clipper pointe, Glenwood and Spring haven. You may consider reading the reviews b4 making any decision.1- Negligence to provide safe community3 or 4 guys moved in last July / August that were obviously gang’s members. They are inviting prostitutes every weekend and smoking Marijuana on the front porch. On September 29, 2: 45 AM, I woke up on screams. 3 cars stopped in front of my apartment and about 10-12 men and women were physically fighting using baseball bats and other weapons. Then I decided to bring the office staff attention and went there to talk to them. I reported the whole incident to Bonnie and informed her that I called the cops on them, then she said “I’ll investigate it and will give u call back within 3 business days.” I never heard from her so I went to the office to follow up and she said, “we can’t do anything because u didn’t get a police report number.” Ok Bonnie. I told her that if I contacted the officers here on scene I’d be endangering my family and myself and this is the reason I stated on the 911 call, but what about the fact that they are 3 or 4 living in one-bedroom apartment? She said, “other residents have to complain.” Wow!!! Ok BONNIE. And I just left in shock. HOW DON’T YOU TAKE THE SAFTEY OF NOT JUST YOUR RESIDENTS, BUT ANY PERSON WHO MAY BE IN DANGER SERIOUSLY? DON’T YOU OR YOUR MANGERS BE LIKE ANY HUMAN BEING WHO GONNA ALERT OR PROTECT STRANGERS WHEN YOU SEE THEM IN DANGER. I wasn’t surprised when officers knocked on our doors with a picture of 7- 8 years-old girl asking us if we have seen her and who was kidnapped from our own complex and I wasn’t surprised either when a woman was raped in the laundry facility. Sorry for them and their families.EVERYTHING I HAVE SAID IN THIS SECTION IS EITHER AUDIO OR VIDEO RECORDED. FROM 911 CALLS TO BONNIE’S RESPONSES.I have a lot more to say about these people about how they treat you once u sign the lease and how their billing department threatened me by sending my balance to a collection agency before reaching the due date because I disagree with their unfair charges.stay away from these apt complexes if you are concerned about your family and your own safety.
They are very nice people, its been tough with covid but they have kept spirits high as expected. Maintenance is slow but as I say expect it because of all the problems during the lock down, the location is great and easy to manage everything right on your phone.Belinda is amazing, Bonnie is super sweet ,Sheryl and Chris Rock and Jesse is extremely helpful knowledgeable and awesome
**PLEASE READ**-I have lived here since April. My first experience with the office staff was amazing which led me to apply and move here. I read some of the reviews and they werent too bad. BUT since moving here. It has been not pleasant at all to say the least. The preparation for this apartment looked rushed, walls quickly painted over. Black mold on my bathroom vent. Dirty vents throughout the home. I live on the third floor, My thermostat is set to 67-70 degrees to keep my apartment cool with this Texas heat. After a few days here I noticed the air does not circulate much in this apartment. I put a service request in to be looked at, The maintenance guy checked it out and said it should be fine now. A couple days went by and same issue. Cool in the early morning and very warm in the afternoon/daytime. This guy says its very cool in my apartment so everything is fine, Mind you he comes at 10am. THIRD time i get a manager to look at it, I showed him pictures of how warm it gets and he just said he will look into it...NOTHING. Here we are in July my apartment reaches 86-87 everyday now. Spoke to the office manager he says these apartments are pretty much old and most apartments here does not cool down all the way. No compensation, NO HELP. He offered to transfer me to a different unit, But advises me it will probably be the same issue. They will not honor the same rent I pay now, They will not assist with movers or cut down my rent for transferring. My advice do NOTT waste your money here. Everybody deserves better than these apartments.
My experience with Addison Apartments at the Park was overwhelmingly positive. The Customer Service was especially great. Belinda Lilly is amazing and very helpful when looking for an apartment. Covid has made apartment hunting difficult but she was very informative and in high spirits nonetheless. The location is great as well!
Thank you to all the honest reviewers for your invaluable feedback. Leaky roofs, faucets, dysfunctional AC, potholes, and leasing response stand out as issues. Once you move in you have a life to live and dont have time between work and family to revisit a placed request. When it is not complete you have to take more precious time to add additional request along with the legaleese. Nice area place leaves a lot to desire. You saved me some grief. Best wishes on peaceful accommodations. May you get what you pay for.
I been around this property since 2013, I give them 5 stars because they do their best to make you feel like home, like every complex have good and bad things and won’t lower them because of it, I know Berlinda , Chris, Jesse since then , they all are always happy to help you with any issues you have. I recently moved to a new unit and they exceed my expectations, transfer was easy and smooth, and all thanks to Berlinda she saved the day. And of course not cheap but worth it.I even referred a friend because she loved the area.We love the area as well, very calm and safe, I feel privileged to be in front of the Vitruvian park.
I have been here about 6 months now. Addison Apartments at the Park is split into 4 sections. The one I live in is definitely from the late 70s or early 80s with the Popcorn Ceiling and the Asbestos waiver. However, given the overall area the rent is reasonable. I have never had any issues so far with parking, there always seems to be enough spaces. The Laundry facilities are annoying as machines are constantly broken. I also would not have any packages shipped to you at this place as there is constant deliveries to the wrong address or potential theft. But again it is apartment living and the rent is reasonable in a decent area. The office staff has been helpful on several occasions, so that is much appreciated.
I can only say that the application/leasing process is SUPER easy, Ryan was very helpful and made sure we found an apartment that we loved! The self-tours are nice so that you can take your time checking out everything for the apartment you could be moving into. Checked out an older apartment first, didnt really like it, so Ryan provided us other options to look at and we liked the upgraded apartments a lot more. We found the cutest home for ourselves and were able to sign the lease the very same day!! After searching endlessly for apartments and worrying about being approved at each one, this apartment makes everything so simple. Location is amazing, right across from the park, and seems like a very family-oriented apartment complex (while we were driving around the complex, we saw kids everywhere) which made us feel like this was the perfect place to raise our brand new daughter due in about a month. Im very excited to live here and begin a new chapter of our lives here. Ryan and Denver are awesome! Super nice people. Hoping this complex lives up to our standards in the long run.
Moved in 8 months ago, our dishwasher wouldn’t turn on at all, it ended up being replaced. The light on our oven does not work, and has not since living here. The cabinets were stained with what looked like a red sauce, then they poorly painted over it, it’s still visible.People here CONSTANTLY steal packages, and the office does NOTHING to stop it or help, and won’t take responsibility.I’ve seen community posts about people’s laundry being stolen, cars broken into, and even cars stolen! It took my neighbor multiple service requests before they fixed the lights in the parking lot so that it wasn’t so dark.Honestly they NEED security to patrol the whole complex. The parking lot is riddled with huge holes that are JUST being repaired. It’s a great location, but honestly not worth it.
I lived in this complex 2 years now. It has approached to the end of my contract and sadly I am going to say bye the the beautiful area. I would really like to say Thank you to Bonnie. Her professionalism has inspired and helped me in all kind of ways. She is sweet, and helpful, passionate with her work. Really appreciate.
I have been a resident for six months. This is an awesome property. The office staff is professional and friendly. The maintenance team is absolutely awesome. They respond fast to orders and I am very pleased because they have exceeded my expectations. I truly recomend this property.
We moved in on the 22nd and had to pay a move in fee which is understandable, so I’m thinking we have to pay rent on the 22nd of each month not one person in the office told us the rent was due on the first of each month; if that’s the case why we just couldn’t move in on the first. Now it’s a late fee so I had to pay rent and haven’t even been living here a month yet 🤦🏿♂️😓😓 I should’ve went with my plan and purchased a house 100% I don’t recommend this place at all
Its been well over a year since living here and the memories haunt me. The worst place that I have ever lived. No one cleans up after their dogs, you cant take two steps in the grass without seeing a pile. I enjoyed walking in the park and they tore it up. There was a nice pool close by that was torn out. When neighbors moved out, which was very frequent, there would be an invasion of cockroaches. Pest control would take weeks to complete. The water would be shut off almost every week, for hours, without notice. Water temperature would never get hot and always fluctuated from warm to cold. The laundry room had been vandalized, doors ripped off the dryers, dryer upside down on top of washer. Mailboxes were vandalized and was unable to receive mail for a week. My vehicle was vandalized. There was a notice of a sexual assault occurring. Every lease renewal will be an increase in rent and fees. Wish I would have had a copy of the lease to read, be sure to give adequate notice of leaving or you will be charged. If you have a pet you will be charged extra for carpet flea treatment. My room mate turned in the keys because I had already signed another lease and had moved, but apparently the apartment wasnt clean enough and all these extra charges like $35 for stove drip pans. I just found out I have a negative late payment on my credit report. Shop around, there are apartment complexes with better ratings, pricing, and living conditions.
Initial contact was great. Berlinda was professional and responsive. Apartment itself looked fine, a little outdated on the inside, but no big deal.Addressing scheme is a nightmare. It isn’t clear to delivery personnel where anything is. Parcel Pending did not help me and the complex said it should be okay to just use my address as provided, but packages only arrived at my door after I put a ridiculous amount of instructions on my address to get things to arrive properly. Still can’t figure out how to get packages properly delivered to the Parcel Pending mailroom at the front.
We have had no hot water for 13 days we have had no response whatsoever. Our mailboxes went underwater 13 days ago and they have made no attempt to fix that either and just forward our mail to the post office. No hot water for 13 days in a global pandemic we are all supposed to wash in hot soapy water for 30 seconds. They dont answer the phone when I call, and refuse to prorated rent. If I could give 0 stars... I would! FIX OUR WATER AND ANSWER THE PHONE!!!!!
I appreciate the staff at Addison apartment they always go the extra mile to make sure you feel happy I your home. My heat was giving me issues one day and an amazing maintenance man named Melvin was prompt professional and went the extra mile he even took out my trash on the way out you can’t get better service than that!!
Terrible service.Management is horrible and do not cooperate at all. Moved in to these apartments so much stuff is broken . The oven doesent work the doors are hard to open. Water leaks from faucets. I have submitted so many complains and have talked to the people at the front office and no one has come to fix this stuff up. Terrible apartments do not move here. Find somewhere better to live. Offered a $250 gift card for those that left good reviews. Unprofessional and terrible management. Overall terrible apartments.
I want to speak to the experience Ive had recently with maintenance.Yesterday, Antero came and replaced the faucets on my kitchen sink. He did a terrific job and showed up on time. He was professional. He also fixed the drain in my tub while he was there. What great organizational skills to pick up two tickets for one apartment. Score to the apartment complex, they picked good ones and they look great!Additionally, my alarm went off. It was a false alarm. Nino was here pronto!! As ALWAYS, he was professional, courteous, and responsive. Great job!
Living here has been a wonderful experience! I’ve lived here for 18 years and I’ve never had a complaint! UDR has definitely improved the area. I love having Vitruvian park across the street. It’s the best park in the area and we love the concerts and food trucks that come by. The area is nice and clean! Whenever there’s a service request it’s taken care of promptly. I just renewed to live here another year. If you want a great area and a decent price this is the best choice!
Love this apartment community! Everyone is so friendly here. From the moment I got there- good vibes....Ryan & Denver greeted me with a big smile and super warm welcome- and I knew it was home! The landscaping is well kept up, the maintenance crew is very outgoing and kind, location is perfectttt! My new apartment is huge! Very spacious!😊Thank you Ryan, Denver and Jessy for making the process seamless and stress free. Super happy-excited to have a new home sweet home in Vitruvian Park @ Addison Apartments!!!!
Do NOT rent here! If I could give a zero, I would. I moved in and had no fire or smoke alarms in my apartment. I wonder how the fire marshal would feel about this? My stove caught fire and they took their sweet time in replacing it. I have gotten 2 notices to vacate, even though I have paid, and the app SHOWS that I paid. Terrible place. God awful.
I read some negative reviews before I moved here but after more than a year of living here I had none of the problems others reported and would recommend this for anyone who wants a very affordable, safe, older style apartment complex in a good location. The maintenance staff is very responsive usually within a day or so. The management cares about making sure you’re happy and they don’t try to rip you off with excessive move out fees like some other properties. Again, it’s an older complex but it’s safe, clean and most of all affordable
I first and foremost want to thank “Addison Apartments at the Park” staff and UDR as a whole, and must state that they have made strides and positive changes since my relocation from California in 2015. I moved into their apartment community which were formally called Clipper Pointe, because it was what I could get at short notice upon my prompt job relocation., and now live in one of their townhomes. The issues that are being stated have improved with the remodeling of various units, but a lot of their other units still need work.Upon relocating to a new apartment community, the first things to research on my list are, the community, surrounding neighborhoods, schools, hospital locations, and grocery stores. This being said the other problems mentioned have a lot to do with the residents of the community, not just the leasing management personnel. The respect and kindness shown to me over the years have been warm and sincere. This in no way justify the problems that continue to occur. My four-star rating is mainly because this information and everything that is happing should be mentioned to the upper management chain, and worked into their improvement plans for all their unit locations.Additionally, residents should start respecting their neighbors, by having their visitors turn music down, watch where they park and drive, and most of all take ownership of their rudeness, and stop disrespecting the apartment community by leaving trash on the ground, and overflowing the dumpsters. The people always make the places they live a better place, and those that move into a nice place should acclimate their self accordingly. I will relocate to a sister site soon because of the growing safety concerns with damaged cars (my new car was damaged, so I feel your pains), broken in units, loud neighbors and the miss-use of the laundry and gym areas. It’s sad to see people damage property they don’t own, as well as not hold their children accountable for doing the same. Again, thank you Addison Apartments at the Park staff for all you continue to do for your residents and community.
Hi Everyone,This is a worst apartment i have ever lived on. Please do make sure take a picture of the apartment correctly so that you do-not get charged for something that you have not broken. Management is more worst, Had so much complain but never took care of it , I was pregnant at the time and their response was so rude. I did call the police several times for smoking related issues. I did had to move out of the apartment during the time of covind-19. I do request all those people reading my post, please do let me know if you do know lawyer i can talk to,I do have all the evidence of conversation and the picture of during my move in, all the maintenance detail and contract signing letter. Please do share this post and let people know before they make a huge mistake of moving in this apartment.
Unsafe, full of bugs, charges with no explanations, horrible customer service - Worst Apt ever!!This appartment complex is the worst, it charges you for moving out with no explanation and keep your deposit. Apliances break, they don’t fix it, and then make you pay for it. I had roof leak and they charged me for it. I had to live with wet ceiling for six months because maintenance never fixed it and then at the end they charged me. The office refuses to answer questions about why they charged you for moving fees.I could go on and on with all the horrible experience but to save you time, all I have to say is don’t cut corners because at the end you will pay double the rent.
I have not even moved in this apartment complex yet. I have done everything I was supposed to do and was told to come back on June 27 as asked by Ryan so I could see what I would be renting. I did exactly what I was instructed to do I kept in contact with the number of Ryan at the apartment complex via the number he was texting me from. He never responded to my messages that I requested to follow up with addition papers and even the address so I can get Ins on the apt. or to get the address and apartment number. When I called in the middle of this past week which was the Wednesday before the 27th I was told that he would be in on Saturday because I was asking for my refund because the lack of communication let me know what I would be expecting if I moved in here. I did a drive-by just to get a feel of the apartment complex at night time and saw that the apartment charge you for parking but the parking lots are jacked up their potholes in the apartment complex. This is my now third time asking for a refund and they literally argued me down like why do you wanna refund because I see how this is going to be when I move over here too much lack of communication and they wonder why you don’t wanna be here anymore. I was given a card from Ryan for a woman named Franny and I was told I’d get my refund within 30 days. I will be reaching out to Franny to make sure this is happening. All this and I don’t even live here. Part two now they are trying to keep my deposit after telling me that I would get a portion of my deposit back the majority actually $176 back and now they’re trying to tell me that I don’t get anything back. I swear do not put your money down for this apartment do not live here these people have lost A renter and I’ve never stay there
Staff at this complex are absolute top notch. Jesse who gave us the initial tour before moving in was very professional and knowledgeable. Unlike some apartment complexes, he wasnt only interested in pushing us to sign a lease right away, he actually respected our financial needs and told us to take all the time we need. He even got stung by a wasp or a bee on the tour but insisted I keep touring until I was satisfied.Very good staff here!
If youre here because youre hesitating, dont, just sign the lease! I came in this office wanting to look at one apartment. I first met Denver. And let me tell you, hes not the type of leasing agent that is trying to sell you the best deal for the numbers, he truly cares about what youre looking for and what would best suit you. No pressure to sign same day and no pressure to go outside of my budget. He even went above and beyond and informed me of an apartment that met my needs more than the one I initially came to look at. He was patient and informative, answering all my questions and helping me complete the online part of the applications and what not. I also have an emotional support animal pair and he helped me to make sure I got all documents ready to go to corporate. Im super appreciative of the apartment he helped me get, it has a yard for my babies and I will be staying here, for years to come until I can afford a house. If he sees me around the complex or in the office, he always asks if everything is going okay and if theres anything he can do for me. Honestly, you just dont find that anywhere!Cheryl was also helpful with getting my keys and helping me to switch over my electricity and renters insurance info. She really went above and beyond to make sure things were set up so I could get my keys and start the move in process. She also gave me some tips and advice with things shes experienced with electricity and renters insurance plans, which I appreciated! And she definitely made it known that I can come to her for anything and shell be there to help in any way she can.BERLINDA!!! Okay so first off, Berlinda reminds me of one of my Tias. She truly has a kind, joyful and helping spirit! And a motherly way about her that makes you feel so welcome and comfortable. She helped me when a pipe busted from my washer, not their fault, it happens. But she helped me get the maintenance crew to my apartment ASAP to fix the leak and provided a huge commercial grade dehumidifier and tornado wind blower to dry up the carpet. Since then, Berlinda has helped me with numerous things and always answers the phone with a ready to help you attitude! She goes above and beyond with customer service! And doesnt make me feel like a customer, but a neighbor. Really love her!Over all, it is so obvious that the office staff is Community Driven. Notice, each office staff Ive come in contact with goes above and beyond in their own way. They truly care to give the best living experience and leasing experience for their renters, not only to get them in the door, but to make sure they want to renew and stay here at Addison Apartments at the Park. The complex may be older, but they are always doing renovations to keep up with the market competitors. Its a quiet and nice neighborhood and is so close to Beltline, where its on and poppin! During Christmas time, the lights are awesome! Tom Thumb is in walking distance. They also have a park where they hold cookouts/concerts, they have a puppy boarding/groomer across the street, as well as the IceHouse and dog park! I mean its a no brainer people!!!-Victoria****UPDATE: I guess I can’t make another review so I’ll update this one :) It’s that time of year where I had to decide if I wanted to renew my lease here. Just want to say it’s the easiest “yes” ever ! This community is quiet and friendly and in the perfect spot in town! The office and maintenance team are fantastic and are always ready to help quickly. Shout out to Berlinda for making me feel like family to the office.
I can’t stress this review enough. Do not live here. Management does absolutely nothing to help you if there are issues with billing, let alone property concerns. There is a reason there are a lot of poor reviews. The property is very large, and you are treated like you are not important, mainly because, well, you’re not. You’re one of hundreds of applicants / residents, and therefore your issues are not treated seriously. If you do decide to apply / live here, work with Ryan. He’s great. Outside of this, goodluck. The business property manager Franny will not to anything to help you. I was charged $75 for them being “unable to locate my bank account” when applying, so I owed $395 just to be rejected. Billing department was even worse - rude, snotty, and threatened to take me to collections. It’s incredible what these companies will do to someone who is just trying to find a nice place to live. Goodluck to all :).
I highly recommend this complex. The staff is super friendly and helpful and for an older complex, they do a really good job of making sure the buildings are well maintained. The price is great, especially considering the location- right next to Vitruvian Park. Ask for Denver at the leasing office. Hes super sweet and makes the whole process of finding an apartment a lot less stressful.
I’ve lived here for almost 4 years and have seen many transitional phrases and projects. They have recently transformed a concrete slab into a commons area and added picnic tables and grills. Me and my boys love it! There’s always something to do especially during summer months when the kiddos are on summer break and the front office staff do what they can to make this the best living experience. All apartments have their flaws or issues, but this one hears a problem and thinks of solutions.
They are trying to charge me for cleaning the carpet after moving out. On my move in report, I made sure to put the stains that were in the carpet and all of the dead and alive roaches that were everywhere. I had to bomb the place 3 times for 3 days before moving my furniture in. I also used Raid spray and acid to kill the rest of the roaches. That showed me that the carpet was not cleaned. Oh and lets not forget about the loose screws that I found underneath the carpet. I emailed them back and forward several times to dispute the charge and they will not acknowledge it, they only reply back with the bill and dont say anything about the carpet. It also took the maintenance men 2 weeks to come fix the heating unit, patio door lock, drawers, and A/C unit dripping on the floor. I had to fix my own toilet by using YouTube because it took them so long to come fix it.
A few months back, we had a pipe burst in the apartment upstairs which cause the sheetrock on the ceiling to fall and flooded our apartment. The leasing office than denied all liability and lied to the insurance investigator and our insurance claim for our damaged property was denied. They let us move into another apartment and now we have another leak in the restroom upstairs. It has been leaking for over 24 hours And despite calling their 24 hour emergency maintenance line, they failed to send someone out to fix the leak. On top of that, last week they were doing work at a nearby apartment which created an intense chemical smell in our apartment where we had our 6 month old son. The maintenance man told it it wasnt safe to have the child around. We spoke to the leasing office and they said there was nothing they could do and would not accommodate us. They simply said open your windows and wait, or go sleep over a friend or familys house. This was after the leasing office receptionist told us that breathing the chemicals was healthy even though it can cause headaches. The incompetency shown by the leasing office is unfathomable. To think they have yet to be sued is mind blowing. I would advise anyone looking for a place to live to avoid these apartments and seek elsewhere.
NEVER Apply For This Place I went in to simply find out availability and to put in a application. A week or so later I received a $325 Bill??? Yep apparently the leasing agent Ryan did not tell me the fees are as follows.$125 Application Fee....A unexplained $75 Fee, and a $100 hold fee for the apartment that we did not qualify for. The statement says balance due at move-out. Emailed to me today. This amount was to be charged to my bank account can you believe it??? All for taking a tour of their property and viewing a unit. WOW!!!!!UPDATE : Guess who has $325 on my credit report, reporting as a negative balance that I owe this GLENWOOD ADDISON PARK II? ME. DONT DO IT PEOPLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!EDIT : Even though management responded they cannot explain the letter sent to me stating that I had a lease agreement or it hitting my credit report as a broken lease. Look at the information below of course I have concealed my identity, but this is real people.
I LOVE this place. This is my first apartment and I dont feel like I could have chosen better. The staff here are all super friendly. I had a few problems when I first moved in and gave them the list a few days later. Although it didnt get fixed right away I understand that there are people moving in every day and they are busy and a thing or two may be missed. So I went up to the leasing office to remind them and everything was immediately fixed. All these reviews on roaches are true but only if youre messy and dont take out your trash..just saying, and thats anywhere. I say this because Ive only had a roach problem once and it was when I procrastinated on taking my trash out and doing my dishes. Since I moved in I see the apartments improving more and more everyday. The thing I hated about these apartments where the holes in the concrete which are all gone now. There is a couple of bars across the street that are really convenient so I dont spend on an uber for a few drinks. And the park across the street is beautiful. Plus EVERYTHING is supper close to me. Thank you guys for making my first apartment a good experience. I look forward to renewing my lease with you guys.
NEVER MOVE HERE!They are the worst apartment complex ever, the leasing staff is only good when it is convenient to them and nothing you ask ever gets done. They move you into a broken down apartment with disgusting carpet and then charge you for it. We have four different apartments at this complex for my relatives and we have all decided to move out because here you can go a month without an the A/C being fixed in the middle of summer and according to the leasing office 75 degrees is ideal living conditions (may I say the apartment is at a steady 80 degrees if we don’t put a portable A/C we payed out of pocket for). They are the worst to deal with and now that I have moved and I am getting charged for disgusting carpet that was stained and smelly when I moved in and when I tried to contact them the receptionist took several messages and said “they will give you a call back soon” after a week or so I decided to email them, they finally replied and send me erroneous information about my lease and once I sent them the actual paperwork they quit replying because it wasn’t convenient for them to continue speaking to me because it would mean they would have to give me money back instead of me paying for something I shouldn’t be liable for. Just take my advise and do not move to this place and if you already did I am so sorry because not even minor issues get fixed, you send a request to fix anything and it gets marked as fixed and you have to send the request several times before it actually gets done.
Ive not had any issues with this apartment complex. I mean yeah they arent the most up to date, nor are they the prettiest but the price is very reasonable compared to the rest of the area. If youre looking for a glammed up apartment, go next door. BUT if youre looking for a simple and safe temporary stay, this is it.
NEVER RENT HERE. I rent from Addison Apartments at the Park in the Cottonwood complex. I have reached out directly to UDR after receiving extremely dissatisfactory service from both the front office staff & the maintenance team on site here at Addison Apartments at the Park. I am currently on day 6 with no functioning central A/C in my unit. For the first 3 days I submitted a maintenance service request everyday. Day 1, 7/19, the temperature in the apartment was not going below 80. The air filter was changed & the A/C unit serviced & I was assured by maintenance before they left that my apartment would begin to cool down. Day 2, 7/20, the temperature in our apartment would not go below 90 degrees at this point as it continued to get hotter after the first maintenance service date, so another service request was filed this day. When maintenance showed up the second time he claimed that the unit was fixed again & that it would begin to cool down. He set the thermostat to 75, said dont touch it & then went on a rant about how hes, getting calls around the clock & that this is Texas, so you cant expect it to get to 65 degrees inside. After his spiel, he left & about 30 minutes later the temperature began to climb again in the apartment. Day 3, 7/21, another service request was submitted but maintenance never showed up this day. We attempted to contact the front office, but the phones rings forever & nobody answers. So we had to resort to posting on the online community wall to finally get some sort of response back from the front office. At this point the temperature in the apartment has reached 95 degrees, so after begging & pleading within the comments of our service request for some sort of solution for our situation we had no other option but to go to Walmart in the middle of the night & spend nearly $500 on a portable A/C unit just for us & our dog to be able to survive through the night & make at least one room in the apartment, our bedroom, habitable which is completely ridiculous when the rent that we pay is supposed to cover these basic necessities such as working A/C.Day 4, 7/22, after spending $500 out of my own pocket & still not having working A/C I have to resort to posting on the community wall yet againToday someone finally acknowledge that our A/C unit was broken & a replacement was ordered which can take over 2 days. In the meantime I was promised to have a portable A/C unit installed to at least get my unit to reach habitable temperatures. Maintenance came to install said portable A/C unit their makeshift duct tape job held up for maybe 5 minutes before the heat exhaust vent fell down & was blowing hot air into my unit. I placed the hose on top of the unit & powered it off & immediately called the front office to report the issue AGAIN & was promised that maintenance would be right back to fix their mistake. This whole ordeal caused me to be late to work & whenever I arrived back home 6 hours later I walk in to find the unit still powered off & not installed properly. Day 5, 7/23, just about a week prior we were ready to renew our lease for another year, after living in this unit for 2 years & within the complex for over 3 years, but there is absolutely no way that we would feel comfortable renewing our lease in a community that operates in this fashion. This is unacceptable & beyond ridiculous. Nothing but false promises & shoddy service. I have rented from UDR for over 3 years & had plans to renew for another year, but after this whole ordeal I cannot wait to leave. An entire week with this ongoing issue & not even a sliver of empathy or support even at their corporate level. The treatment weve received has been absolutely abysmal.
Do not get an apartment with this complex. They will nickel and dime you charging you arm and leg prices whenever they seem to want to. They will not repair any equipment if they feel it is not broken. I lived in an 80 degree apartment all summer long due to them not finding anything wrong with their ac unit. My electricity was outrageously high due to them not fixing their equipment. They do not care about you or your family. They only care about the money they are making off you. I will never consider renting an apartment from them ever again. If I could I would give them a -5 in stars but unfortunately it only goes to 1 star. Addison apartments at the park do not deserve your tenancy, I highly highly recommend other complexes.
In all honesty, this place sucks. Roaches everywhere. Cabinets are crooked and old. You put in a maintenance order and takes forever to get done. All they really care about is money. Such a nice area to live in but this management is no good at all. They don’t seem to know what they’re doing. Signed documents ready to go, but then was told that my rent went up. Furious, my brother went in telling them he signed everything and even pointed the lady who helped him. Turned out she “misplaced” the paper or forget to turn it in. I’m not sure but I don’t care. Got that fixed, but that is beside the point. Try somewhere else close by. Hope they read this and get their act together or maybe just getting a new management team all together.
WORST apartments I’ve ever lived in... they charge you for valet trash when you take your own trash to the dumpster. Apartments are INFESTED with cockroaches. They people in the office are rude and do not communicate at all. My living room window blew out and they replaced it with a soggy piece of wood for 3 months before ordering a new one. My ceiling fan was falling out of the ceiling and I had to put in 5 work orders before they finally came out and “fixed” it. This place is over priced and a joke. DO NOT MOVE INTO THESE APARTMENTS.
I have now lived here for over a year. The employees that work here actually care for the residents. They throw multiple free parties all year and do amazing community activities. The reason for the 5 stars also is the amazing work by Cheryl, Chris , and Cesar. We have been having AC issues and this was an emergency since we have a 6 month old. They worked with us for weeks figuring out everything and made sure the issue was fixed.I absolutely love living here.
It will be three years this September since I moved to Texas and moved into Addison Apartments at the Park. I enjoy living here. I love my studio apartment, the swimming pools, the dog park and having Vitruvian Park across the street. Its a beautiful park to walk. Its also nice that the leasing office often has events for the tenants to attend and interact. I love that you can pay your rent online and see what is going on in the community on the UDR website.
This apartment complex has water issues just about every week! Apparently there was a water leak and here i am trying to have a normal evening in my home ,i cant take a shower, cook for my children or use a damn bathroom. On top on it they give ZERO indication of when itll get fixed. Wouldnt recommend this place to anyone . HORRIBLE!!
My bathroom ceiling fell on my head. I called on a leaky roof and the maintenance team just patch it up with cardboard. I had to call the ambulance because of a major headache. I am actually in the office writing this review. If anyone knows a good lawyer please send them my way. I h e called on this matter 3 times already. The first time they said it was because of the rain and they where going to patch up the roof. Next the damn ceiling still leaking and they come and patch it up with cardboard.
If i could give these apartments 0 stars i would. Worst apartment complex i have ever lived in do not recommend these to even my worst enemy. Every single month I am overcharged and when i go to the leasing office to dispute what i’m being charged for the office staff doesn’t even know. They have entered my apartment without my permission. Anytime i make a call for maintenance nothing happens till weeks later. The day my lease is up cannot come soon enough.
Neither the phone number on google or the one on their actual website works to get a hold of them. I was actually going to rent an apartment from here due to location. I saw floor plans and got the info to submit an app. but they were going to charge me $65 more for paperwork than the website would if i applied through it instead of the link they sent me, when i tried to call to ask about this and some other things I never could get a hold of anyone and decided to call it quits. the guy who helped me was super informative and was really nice. i think the management of this complex just needs help with organization. they have pretty good prices, pretty meh apartments.update: the complex has reached out to me, they are very nice and Denver did reach out to me, i have already signed for another apartment.
This apartment complex is pretty much ok. Its not that bad as some of the comments on here are a massive over exaggeration. When we first moved in there was a roach problem that we went and got addressed the same day we moved in and the staff at the office got right on that right away. They even put us up in a hotel while they took care of the situation. They also sent someone out every week to check and make sure we werent having any issues and called to check on us with that as well. Since then we have not had an issue with any roaches, bugs etc....Which is great. Any other maintenance issues that we have had, have been addressed in a timely manner and we really havent had anything major that needed to be addressed by maintenance. So as far as their attentiveness to residents needs and stuff from our experience it has been fine and anytime there has been an issue its been taken care of.The apartments are a good price for the location. And the floor plans are good. The only bummer is in our unit there isnt a fan in the living room area and we had to buy our own microwave but that isnt really anything super major. The rooms are big and its actually pretty spacious for the price. The balcony is pretty big too.Safety wise we havent had an issue. My neighbors are nice and we pretty much keep to ourselves and mind our own business. The only things Im bummed out about is that they boarded up the walkways that lead to Tom Thumb so now we have to go around. They dont have any trash cans at the playground which I sent an email to the head person over that and they dont seem to think that it is an issue. Sometimes some of the office staff seem overwhelmed and can come off a little snarky but thats like anywhere so not too concerned. All in all for the price its good. I would recommend this complex to my friends and actually have. It doesnt get five stars in my book but from my experience its a decentthree
We found Cockroaches everywhere in our apartment. Kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, living room, and closet. We have a 3-year-old daughter and the Cockroaches problem has exploded in our apartment. The situation is extremely bad. We feel disgusting from anything in the kitchen. Our clothes and blanket got wholes everywhere. The Cockroaches are crawling all over the apartment now. We see them crawling on the mattresses, couches, floors, and even on ourselves. I think the Cockroaches problem was present when we moved in and I had War1 and War2 with them but they keep coming from somewhere. The apartments are old in this complex and no way to get rid of the
PLEASE DO NOT MOVE IN HERE!!!!!!!!The picture is painted perfect because the area is nice. The managers & the staff are rude, very unprofessional and always move at a fast pace to get you in their face and out their face! Maintenance work orders take a while. I lived here almost 3 years & had a rat, bed bugs, and roaches! (The only reason I stayed that long, my job was only 5 minutes away) Lastly, the thing that hurt me the most was the MOVING OUT PROCESS. I had $300 dollars credit to my account. Also keep in mind I moved in March 25, 2016. Their office agent Denver made my paperwork move out date on the 29th of March, therefore they could take all the money that was credit to my account and also make me end up paying an additional $19.97 in order to leave the premises without any fees due! I moved here from Arkansas, this was the MOST stressful thing Ive ever been through. If I can bless the next person away from the miserable feeling I have now, I would! They work entirely too fast which causes errors. This place is about money and business do not call this your home!!!!!!!!LOOK AT THE VIEW & KEEP GOING!!! Dont let these people hurt you like they did me! 🙏
Doesnt even deserve the one star. Please be aware. The reviews are true. Living at this apartment complex was more costly than any of the other apartment complexes I have lived in. That is even all combined together. I lost money due to cost by the apartment and they do not care for my well being. I got sick cause they failed to notify me of resurfacing in joint apartment after I requested to be notified of the resurfacing ahead of time. I had to call the police for them to take me serious on my breathing problems caused by the resurfacing. They told me it was not harmful and laughed at me. There is not any compassion with this group. You cant go into the office if you have problems with air fresheners and chemicals.
If youre thinking of signing a lease here DO NOT DO IT. When me and my boyfriend first moved here over a year ago we really loved it, our neighborhood was nice and quiet and felt very safe. That all changed about 6 months ago when we got new neighbors on both sides of our townhouse. They are constantly outside smoking, drinking, racing their cars and just being downright obnoxious. Now this is not the complexs fault BUT we have complained and brought up our frustrations numerous times with them about our nasty neighbors and they did nothing, in fact one time they told us we need to be nice and friendly to them in order to get their respect. REALLY??? We have called the cops on them plenty of times and come to find out the rest of the neighborhood has done the same. These people are up and being extremely loud at all hours of the night and middle of the day (I think their source of income isnt legal), they make me feel unsafe as a woman I dont want to have to walk around 6 guys just to get into my home, they have broken into peoples cars before and the complex knows all of this yet does nothing about it! We cant wait to get out of here as soon as our lease is up and never look back.
Its too much money for what it is. They are responsive to requests, but its been a BATTLE to get my refrigerator fixed. Going on 3 months and its still leaking, awesome. This is the 2nd time Ive lived here and the 2nd time was because I snagged it at a decent price with no other options. The appliances and cabinets seem like they are from the 90s. I dont need stainless steel and granite counter tops, just something that looks a tad more modern.
Currently searching through apartments & reading the reviews. The responses from the property manager is just as important at the ex tenant/ current tenant reviews. The Manager seems very passive aggressive & condescending on all her replies to those who had negative experiences & reviews. For someone who is seeking a new residence these reviews are the deal breakers , when your moving from another state & starting over you want to work with a team who you can build integrity with & trust. As a tenant you wouldnt expect to be over charged, lost packages or insects issues. And if you do experience these things some form of GENUINE empathy should be given. Very disappointing, & makes me want to just buy a home instead of dealing with Leasing Office Politics & Tricks! Thanks All for sharing your experiences. Good & Bad !
We moved in late May and moved out mid January. We loved the location and our townhouse was lovely. We did have an issue with a leak that was reported a few times but never was fully fixed, aside from that our experience living here was very pleasent. A very big Thanks to Jesse and the rest of the office staff for making our stay a great one.
I definitely do not recommend these apartments really bad service my AC has been completely out for a week now and they do not care that me and my kids are burning up super hot definitely not renewing my lease here . Maintenance are really lazy and rude as well as the people in the office. Ive had multiple problems in the apartment and they simply do not care to get it fixed.
I will give NO STAR! I was staying at these apartments a little more than a year maintenance and staff SUCK big time!! They never “fixed our A/C”!! I just had a baby 3 months ago and with this heat this summer we weren’t having it anymore!!!!!! Very INCONSIDERATE people!!!! We had to break our lease there I guess that’s how they get their money!!! Please pay attention to these reviews!!! We wish we did!!
Glad I always check these reviews first! Leasing agents have gotten worse over the years. Now, anybody can be one and they do not seem to care about quality customer service and fair treatment to tenants. It is indicative of how they live because one would not want others to live under these conditions described unless they themselves live this way and they are bitter. JOINT THE TEXAS TENANTS UNION and FIGHT BACK!!! LEARN YOUR RIGHTS... KNOW YOUR RIGHTS... EXECUTE YOUR RIGHTS AS A TENANT and take a stand for yourself and your hard earned money! Landlords and property management have no sense of integrity. Slum landlords/property management UNLESS you learn your rights and fully execute them. Make sure you are current on your rent because if not, they will try to use this against you when you do. I WILL NOT be making this - what sounds like a hell hole - my home!!!! Thank you to all who left real reviews of your experience. This is what helps the public and potential tenants searching! NO GO!!!! NO APP SUBMITTED!!! NO INTEREST WHATSOEVER!
I am a current resident and cant wait to move out...every once in a while, our service request is responded to, BUT I will not recommend this place to even my enemy. My biggest problem that has never been addressed is the fact that whenever it rains, water enters my apt through the wall...I have pics, I have called, someone has come looked at it, but NOTHING! Has been Done about it...no answers. when my husband told them if it continues like this we will move out, he was told if u break your lease, u will pay 2months..like what the heck! Maintenance doesnt complete a service request, but they lie and put it in as completed...if I should pour my anger here, it will take me all day. This just had to stop...its all about $$$$, zero consideration. I cant wait to move out very soon
This apartment is not safe AT ALL! We’ve been through several robberies. Stolen bikes/cars someone broke into our apartment with a KNIFE and stole our laptops , same thing happened to our friends someone tried braking in through the patio. They NEED TO put security and police patrols 24/7 . We’re moving ASAP!!! If you delete this at least do something about it!!
Ive read through many of these reviews. They had a spike in 5 star ratings in a very short period of time meaning, some how people were encouraged or benefited from giving a 5 star review. The complex more than likely did a raffle for 5 star reviews or simply asked. Secondly, theres just as many 1 star reviews as 5 star.Jody, (the manager) it is unprofessional to discuss tenant information as youve done on many posts here. You look just as untrustworthy as the reviews say by doing so.Glad I read the reviews. I almost considered moving here. And no, I will not contact your office to speak about it further.
I wish I would have listened to the reviews left here before signing. They are all accurate. Fleas in the carpet, broken wood pieces and nails left on my porch, was not move in ready at all. This place is not safe to live in comfortably at all, especially for a female. The neighbors here and their questionable guests have no shame in their harassment game. They will throw on random charges after you move out!!! You have to pay monthly for the open and poorly managed parking lot (pot holes, trash and broken cement blocks everywhere) and you pay for miscellaneous things like pest control (which they never come do but you pay monthly for it) and trash which is one community dumpster across the lot. They would turn off the hot water randomly for a few hours without any notice and ive had to take multiple freezing cold showers.Walls are so thin you can hear everyone in the building walk up and down the stairs, open their doors, the neighbor above me would shake the glass in my kitchen cabinets when they walk around, you can even hear talking through the walls, you can smell everyones smoke and there are tons of cigarettes all over the yards there. It is a very loud place at night. The AC would stop working on the hottest days and it would take 3 office requests for someone to even come out and they give you no notice or response that they are coming, so if youre not home, it doesnt get fixed and you have to bug them again. Its like they didnt even clean the apartments for a new tenant. After 8 months of living there, airing it out, tons of candles, wall plugs and febreeze, the awful smell never faded! Everyone in the complex smokes and there are drug deals left and right and you smell it everywhere. It is not safe at all. The cops make frequent visits there. There is trash all over the yards and parking lot. The parking is a mess, there are broken cement blocks everywhere. Past 6pm, I would not leave your apartment door in this community, which is shocking because across the street is such a nice area.Basically, its cheap, but not that cheap. Look somewhere else to live in the area.
Ive been here for 3 years and maintenance is just terrible and I have had a hard time with staff not following up. Twice, because I resigned my lease early I was told I would get my carpet cleaned for free. When I tried following up after they did not show I received no response. Hot water does not work when temperatures get below freezing. I have called in 3 times to get this fixed each time, a week later no hot water. This is especially troublesome because I am directed to a call center rather than the actual on site staff. So no follow up and here I am again without hot water in 20 degree weather for the 4th time. Unacceptable, if youre looking for an apartment look somewhere else its not worth the headache
[Updates!] You get what you pay for. Or worse. DO NOT LIVE HERE. Add-ons: *Dont give you warning before they charge you for violations -- see text pictured. *Amazon confirmed delivery to office during business hours, but my packages arent there and when asked about it, they assume zero liability and only accept packages as a courtesy -- see text pictured. 1) When they tell you that you are auto enrolled in renters insurance, its actually only liability -- so when I was robbed, I got nothing for all of my receipts. 2) The management doesnt follow through on any maintenance requests -- I have to track down the poor guys myself and drag them back to my apartments, such as when my ceiling burst open from water damage above me. Also, things like a hole in my ceiling or my disposal not working were not considered emergency enough, so they werent prioritized -- even a week after requests were submitted. 3) My apartment flooded 3 times and every time it was a fight to prove that something was wrong (inclusive of pics/video evidence) or to get any assistance -- they kept saying it was the toiled, re-drying the same crappy carpet, and calling it a day -- without ever contacting me to let me know when it was fixed so I could go back. 4) When they did do the repairs, it was an absolute mess afterwards, with all of my things in a wet disgusting pile in my shower -- and since I cant have a W/D in my unit, they didnt even offer to give me credit to run MY towels they ruined through the machines they have for tenants. 5) ANTS. ANTS EVERYWHERE. 6) If you get a package to the front instead of your door or your mailbox, they dont call you and tell you about 50% of the time so no clue if a package was delivered stolen/or its simply at the front. 7) Laundry machines work, but the pay system often breaks -- for 2-3 weeks -- and mgmts response is that its an outside company so the tenant needs to call them directly to let them know the community machine isnt working. Im sorry... isnt that your job to own the relationship between your vendors and your tenants? 8) And after all of that, they tried to up my rent about 12-15% from current rates! HA! HAHAHA!So glad Im moving. And so glad I document every interaction. Denver (Sr leasing agent) and Kristin (Comm Dir) are nice and wiling to help if you reach out directly to them, which is what Ive basically had to do to even get simple responses, but the complex is really just a terrible place to live.
I very much enjoyed living here. There was literally 12 hispanics living in the one-bedroom next to me, but they were so friendly and happy every time I saw them I didnt even care. Plus thats none of my business *sips tea*The manager at the leasing office was always so helpful and sweet, along with Levi and the lady with the desk right in front of the couch. Anytime I had an issue, I was able to walk in and speak directly to the manager.I also had to break my contract because I suffered a serious injury of fracturing my spine and had to move in with my parents so they could take care of me while I recovered. The front was very cooperative and understanding, and I was able to break my lease with minimal to no charges.I would recommend living here to anyone who is looking for economy living. It certainly was a shot to the ego about how much money I was making looking at Fiori and Savoye across the street...but for the price, I got what I paid for! I liked it:)
If there were a way to give a no star rating thats what I would have done. The A/C doesnt work properly. The people in the office are rude and maintenance is incompetent. They have been notified of the problem but nothing has been done to fix it. The temperature in the apartment is never less than 85 degrees during the summer months.i cant wait for my lease to be over. I hope this helps to stop anyone else from making the mistake of renting here ,like I did.
I Had to stop what i was doing just to leave an review i must have been moving to all the wrong places because this is the first time ive felt like an appreciated tenant i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT HERE !!!! The Office Staff Berlinda , Jess, Ryan are all so darn AMAZING oh im not gonna even Brag about the MAINTENANCE TEAM one call and they are coming they came so darn FAST it had slipped my mind that i had even called literally by the time i hung up the phone with Ryan walked to my car as i was coming back the MAINTENANCE Guy was here to fix the ISSUE i called about i HIGHLY RECOMMEND Renting here ! THE STAFF HER ENJOY AND LOVE THEIR TENANTS IM CONVINCED THAT THIS IS MORE THAN JUST AN JOB TO THEM!!!!!
It is the worst apartment in usa. you will have nightmare if you stay there. The management terrible. it is not safe at all. my car tire cut twice by some guys. And no hot water almost once a month. the internet paying system cannot login all the times. you have to pay later fee. the emergency call is no help at all. i hope the nightmare will be over sooner. when moving in, found out that stove vacuum without filter, asking them to install one. after two years it is still not installed. every time complain without hot water, they said this is last time, it is completely fixed. after couple days, the hot water stop again. they just play game to you, foolish you.
I lived here for 5 years and my car got towed!I live in the Glenwood/Oakwood part of the complex. Parking has always been tight if you come home late (after 11pm). A month or two ago, they started painting a few spots Reserved, which made it even harder. But I was always lucky enough to find a spot in the community even when Im late. And eventually it happened! Last night I came back from a movie about 11:30pm. I drove around the community and could not find any open spots except 2: one reserved, and the other one handicapped. I had no choice but to park in the reserved spot (I would never take the handicapped spot). And there was another car driving around like mine that couldnt find parking. And you know what, as I got up to take my car to work it was gone! I paid $300 to get it back.So they know parking is tight and still made some spots reserved. And when I was forced to take a spot they towed mine immediately. If you dont want to be in such a situation you should look elsewhere.Heres a picture of how full the night parking situation is.There are also other issues at this place that are worth your consideration. But Ill have to elaborate on them at later times.
It is 1/29/2018 and I came in at 5:30 to request only to see what kind of floor plans they offer -Not to see the physical units since I understand it is 30mins to closing. Even at that , there we’re 6 People in the office and only one of them asked me what I needed and said that they were not showing units because it was late & said that’s fine i just want to see the paper copies of the floor plans and she told me to wait and then proceeded to leaving to take someone to show them a unit ! Either way I sat there for 25 mins and not a single other person came to ask me if I needed help. So I started to read all the reviews and let’s just say they’re not good at all. I just decided to leave, if this place can’t even bother themselves to help YOU the CUSTOMER who is in the end indirectly providing THEIR check then just imagine how they would respond to you once you’re tied down by having signed a lease agreement? Thank you, Next much?
Affordable. Ive been living in a single person efficiency in the Talisker complex for two months and Ive got no complaints. Im not a fan of the laundry facilities on site, but theres other options nearby and its not like the facilities are bad. The front office has been very helpful to me thusfar and to speak for the people talking about holes in the walls and insects, I havent seen a single bug and the room Im in seems to have been very recently remodelled and touched up. Id suggest taking a look around and seeing if this is the place for you, because its hard to do better for the cost. Also living right next to vitruvian is pretty nice.
Two words- Roach Infested! Do NOT ... I repeat ... Do NOT even think about signing a lease here. Sure the staff are okay - but at the end of the day they have a job to do. These apartments (especially the CT -CottonWood Section) are gross. Trash is always covering the grounds, I am sure it is because of some of the nasty people who live here.My biggest issue is that they have a huge roach problem and many other residents are disgruntled about it too. Im talking ALL 3 of the main types of roaches and their spawn will be living with you. So do not move here thinking you are going to have peace of mind (even after you have used your OWN exterminator-cause theirs obviously cant be trusted) ...cause soon as you do youll see a roach walking across that too. Honestly, take a good look around the entire complex before you decide to move here then hurry up and leave.
I lived there for 3 years only because I did not want to move. They prey on the poor, everyone in their office is a moron. I had to deal with rats, slow maintance, etc. When I complained through the resident portal with no resolution, I complained on their Facebook page. They blocked me. Absolutely everything was a hassle. They have people selling drugs out of the stairwells. I brought this up to them as a Law Enforcement Officer and they ignored it, didnt care. I had neighbors call me Pig as I would come from and go to work. Dont even get me started on the barking dogs. If you do shift work, Stay away.
Place was all right to live. I had.couple couple thinks I was mad about they didnt do pest control when you needed even if your paying for.it every month last month I was there they charge me for one more day of being in there apartment and they also charge me so much more for the floor replacement and I couldnt move things out. So I understand why they charge me on that but 1230.00 for replacement of the kitchen the kitchen isnt that big and I try to talk to Belinda about it and she did nothing I have all the picture there no picture of the floor being dAmage and insted of them calling me they send my bill to the collection place it hasnt even been 2 month that I moved out and when I ask why am I paying for the replacement of the intro floor they said my dog had nails that is the most stupid excuse I have heard.... there just money Hungry and wouldnt move in to this apparent ever again.
GHETTO apartments. If you enjoy living in a safe complex DO NOT even consider living here. In the matter of a month the police have been to the apartments two times, once searching for someone and the second time someone harassed the mail man. The guy under us got robbed at gun point, witnessed it first hand. There is a huge penis drawn on the floor right next to the pool behind the office. They charge you hidden fees. I paid for my electricity before I even moved in and garden oaks charged me a fee, and couldnt explain WHAT the fee was besides that it was an electricity fee. The office staff is so rude! Ive lived in several complexes from Dallas to Houston and these are by far the worst EVER! The area drew me in and looks nice but these crappy apartments are its own ghetto.
I currently live here now, honestly for the price i would say dont move here its better to pay 100 more and stay in a more updated apartment. Ive recently seen roaches in my apartment and Im so terrified of bugs. Ive been calling the office all day because i could not get inside of my online portal no one answered. For my 1 bed room i pay 975 plus water bill which is about 40 dollars each month. Thats 1015 and I have to live with roaches.
I wish I could rate this 2.5, but 3 stars will have to do. Its an OK place to live, great neighborhood, fairly safe. Seems like a lot of families live here, which makes me feel safer. Its also pretty quiet, and my neighbors are nice. I had one security issue about a year ago involving someone removing a piece of my car in the parking lot in the middle of the night, which cost $500 to replace. Otherwise, theft is not a concern. Addison police are a strong presence, and the street is very well lit, being directly across from Vitruvian Park and The Fiori and Savoye complexes. Makes the property look way fancier than it is.The apartment itself is adequate. Its an older building, built around 1980 according to the leasing agent. In the two years Ive been at Clipper Pointe, Ive had an unceasing roach problem. According to pest control theres not much that can be done because its an apartment and people are gross I guess. Seems like a lame excuse. I suspect that theres a small leak somewhere that keeps them interested in my kitchen, but other than avoiding the kitchen entirely, theres no stopping them beyond pest control coming every few months to obliterate them when theyre really bad. Ive also started to notice some foundation issues, cracks in the walls, swelling of drywall, etc. Nothing extremely serious, but its noticeable. Theres some minor mold/mildew issues in the wood cabinets in the kitchen. I just keep all of my food stuff in sturdy plastic bins, or in the fridge. Its not a terribly functional way to live, but I get by.Management is....elusive? I never know who to go to with any issues. There are leaf blowers every week, but other than that I havent noticed much being done to improve the property. Maintenance will eventually get around to fixing requests within a week of submission, as long as the problem is inside my apartment. It took some vigilant complaining to get a light in the first floor outside hallway fixed, but after a few ignored maintenance requests and an email to UDR, its finally working again.Im terribly displeased with UDR as a property management company. They make you go round in circles trying to get any answers, whether its over the phone or through their mess of an online resident portal. Emails are sent out only to alert me of community frivolity and events, rarely regarding anything relevant to my apartment or the property itself. It seems like there was much more communication from management regarding updates to the property, etc. But Ive noticed a considerable lack of correspondence from them in the last year, which makes me wonder whats up and why theres no concern about making any outside (or inside) improvements to the property. I doubt UDRs interest in maintaining this complex. It feels like Clipper Pointe has, for the most part, been forgotten. Which is either good or bad depending on your preferences. If you want to live somewhere quiet, moderately safe, in a modestly attractive neighborhood and you cant afford to pay $1k/month or more for a 1 bedroom apartment, and you are happy with a property management company that gets some stuff done but isnt in your business all the time, whose onsite team is friendly if not sometimes challenging to get ahold of, and you dont mind bugs or living in Addison...then this is the place for you.
Update from my last post. The incompetent receptionist is still in the front office doing her best to try to say anything that would resemble even the tiniest form of common sense. The maintenance guy came after I went to the front office 2 days after leaving messages on the 24 hour maintenance line and showed them pictures and videos of the leak being right next to exposed electrical. They used the excuse of the maintenance man in charge was temporary. A person came out and just rerouted the leak to the shower. Now there is a constant drip in the shower. This cold drip is right in the middle of the shower so you get a refreshing consistent cold drip of water while you try to take a hot shower. And a very relaxing dripping sound 24 hours a day. So big thank you to the management here who is yet to take any type of accountability or shown sympathy for the terrible living space they offer. I would welcome any conversation from management to attempt to justify their actions.
Today I had the pleasure of talking with the most professional leasing agent (Denver Laughlin) I have EVER had to deal with in 10 years . Please note that I called 30 minuets prior to arriving at the the office let him know what I was looking for and within 5 minuets of arrival we were out the door and looking at 3 different units within my requirements (the actual units for rent not demo units) . After looking at the units and deciding which one to move forward on he walked me through the application process and explained all the fees in details and covered close to 90% of my questions before I could bring them up. Thank you for your help today Denver .
Horrible! DO NOT LIVE HERE!!!! All they care about is getting money every which way! I move out in 4 days and they suddenly send me a 400 dollar bill that is mentioned no where in any agreement on the lease! They are horrible! Hot water hasn’t worked in 3 weeks I could go on and on! DONT MOVE HERE!
Horrible Service and Horrible apartments for a high price, I got locked out of my apartment because the doors are too old and the lock broke, I paid almost a 1000.00 for a one bedroom and I called their office for help and the maintenance team to help, Rachel answered the phone and said they cant help with anything related to the apartments and I need to find my own lock person to help??? What Im the actual hell is that horrible customer service Im definitely leaving from this trash place...
Y’all are very UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!If you want your furnitures to be stolen, bills after you leave, bad customer service experience - then I recommend this apartment!!!I feel this is the only way I probably will get y’alls attention!I am greatly disappointed at the entire experience with y’all. It won’t let me post without giving y’all ZERO STAR
Worst apartments ever. Do not be fooled. Save your money, spend a few more dollars and get better customer service, better maintenance, and just better living conditions. I was in a rush and didnt cross my mind to look up the reviews. Service requests get lost, fleas & bedbugs major problem, thin walls enough to hear peoples tv and every step they take upstairs. They have employees come by and pick up trash, but the trash piles are plain sight and walkway flies all around. It is not a pretty sight really. Atleast pick it up early, but its there past 10:00a.m. If the gym is important to you, find another place. Only one treadmill works correctly, all others switch incline at random times regardless of the program chosen. Television do not work, i dont understand the point of having them if you can not use them. Several times I have found it to be dirty, and try to avoid going alone at night. Shady people around and from the story I heard, nothing has been done about it. Adjusting Water temperature in the showers can take up to 10 minutes to get right, otherwise it can burn you or kids. Maybe that is why they do not charge for water. I would gladly pay for the comfort of taking a shower without such hassle everytime. Just look elsewhere. Wish I had.
They don’t complete your service requests, just come in and piddle around then say it’s fixed.AC went out in the peak of summer. Took them a week to come fix it; in the meantime they brought a window unit that didn’t cool anything unless you were sitting right in front of it. Then the AC wouldn’t turn off during that time so it ran up the electricity to a couple hundred bucks instead of my usual 75 this time of year, and they don’t do anything about that.Rent is outrageous for the quality of living they provide. I’ve submitted 3 service requests for my stove and it still hasn’t been dealt with.THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT THEIR TENANTS. Period.
Worst staff and unreliable leasing office. Got our apartment leased to someone else for no reason and wasnt contacted in anyway. They said they left voice mails when our voice mails werent even set up. They lied straight to our face and then WOULDNT print out any information stated that they had called or emailed to us. When asking for corporate information they wouldnt give me that either but its okay because I found it. This is not a good invirment to live in anyways. I still have the letter they left on our front door saying to be careful going to the laundry room because there was people getting attacked. This complex is all around trash!
Saturday 11/03/18 to inquire about apartment but insulted by bad attitude frustrated unwelcome unqualified rude Caucasian guy with glass call himself Denver. Asked about 2/2 apartment and wad insisting us to get condo when not mentioned. Start yelling and loud and no other leasing agent seems to care either. We had to tell him to calm down as he was eating agressive and upsetting. Very shame to have these people around this kind a job with there was minus stars in reviews
Do not move into these apartments. The manager Belinda is a liar. She added fees out of no where. When i called corporate on her. They did not do anything. In the end you will be screwed like i did. I reported Glen wood Addison apartment complex for fraud. Trust me when i say, do not move here.
The online listings of the apartments are intentionally misleading. The stylish and updated features showcased in the photos can all be found within the central leasing office. The actual apartments were poorly constructed, poorly maintained, and smelled strongly of bug spray.
I have been waiting three weeks for repairs that these apartments are not good, they are not good because poor communication with the administration. I do not recommend these apartments to anyone they are pure facade.Ive been here for three years and these apartments go from bad to worse. This is my last year. Do not ignore other comments people take advice and avoid a bad time here.
As a current resident... When I first moved in things were boarderline horrible moving to a different state was hard but with the help of Belinda and her understanding I was able to turn everything around and I couldnt be more happier. I ABSOLUTELY love this community.
If I could give this place a negative rating I would. Lived there 4 years ago. Had to move out because they had RATS. The staff was the rudest. The only thing that this place cares about is getting money. We have a bad credit rating now because they said we owe them over three thousand dollars. Avoid this place like the plague or youll be paying for it for a long time
I must say at first we deff. Were unhappy and wanted to move asap!!! The lay out is nice but the maintenance was horrible!! Severy dozen request!!! But thanks to Berlinda and Joseph I believe his name is we are becoming a bit more happy!!! Berlinda and Joseph yall rock!!! Only a 3 star as we are slowly working at getting 5 we are slowly getting there!!!!
I have submitted a review for Talisker before, and I noticed that it was taken down. I was never informed why it was removed but I have a saved copy and Im posting it again. As I said before in my original post, DO NOT MOVE HERE. Do NOT ignore the bad reviews for this place, its horrible.I made the mistake of ignoring all the bad reviews for this place when it had 2.5 stars.Heres an entire list of things that have happened thus far at Talisker.-Patio doors leaked water when it rained. Doors had to be replaced, still slight leaking.-Summer: A/C malfunctioned constantly and had to be fixed a few times.-Oven coil broke and was replaced.-Roaches, frequent requests for pest control. Btw two of the roaches we had were the length of my iphone4-Water pressure had to be fixed-Shower leaked into downstairs neighbors apartment.-Toilet would not flush, had to be fixed and was repaired past midnight.-Bath tub lining deteriorates-Questionable mold, located along living room window, all vents, and in shower.-Patio has mold and rot-Laundry area doesnt have working washers.

2022-03-28My boyfriend stays here and I with him, it’s a very serene and comfortable place to live, the staff every one of them are so sweet and helpful, the maintenance crew is so friendly and are always respectful upon coming in and fixing what needs to be fixed. Of course Belinda in the front office is an absolute SWEETHEART I love the interacting the office does with the complex, such as the upcoming Easter egg hunt!! You guys are killing it! Thank you for making this such a positive and easy place to live☺️❤️!!

2022-01-14A peaceful, quiet place to live, with friendly neighbors. Maintenance is quick to respond to any situation. Lots of cool bars and restaurants nearby. And a giant beautiful park with a pond. Berlinda in the front office is very knowledgeable, attentive, kind, and helpful. I strongly recommend living here if you enjoy peace and quiet but still like to venture into the city. Only 20 minutes from downtown Dallas too.

2022-03-16We toured this complex last week and it is WAY over priced for the quality. The pictures make it look so much better than it actually does. There was only one person working in the office when 4 of us came to start our appointments. Once we finally got our tour started we found the building pretty quickly but the actual apartment numbers are completely mixed around. When we got in the apartment there was a dead cockroach in the hallway and everything was outdated or had been painted over a million times. Some doors didnt work and everything seemed dirty. The only two pros to this complex is that 1. its in virtruvian park and 2. they have keypad entry on all the doors. This is the only complex in the area that hasnt been torn down and rebuilt. Also, while walking to the unit, it reeked of weed and there was trash everywhere.

2022-04-08NO COMMUNICATION AT ALL! I LIVED HERE 3 YEARS!!!I moved out of this complex early and paid a pretty high fee to break my lease. They do not tell you what that fee is for. I have gotten the carpet cleaned and they are trying to charge me carpet cleaning charges. Asked them what the fee I paid to break my lease is used for and no one will respond to emails (they don’t give you a number for billing). Surely $95 they are charging could come out of the $1700 I paid for my lease to break.Don’t even bother with carpet inspection either because another tenant had it done and they were still charged for it even after they were told they wouldn’t be.The apartment has constant water issues. You pay for parking but the parking lots are still awful. No one picks up after their dogs at the dog park and even at the dog park kids use it as a playground so you can’t even take your dogs there.Constant smell of weed. They’ll charge you pest control but no one actually comes (I had a door camera and an inside camera).Save your money because they will try to take every dime you have and then never return calls or emails.UDR in general is an awful management and would avoid any property of theirs at all cost!!

2022-02-09Behold for a long review. I am writing this because this place deserves some harsh review and they are making too much money on perils of their tenants. I terminated my lease early paying the buyout as it was very difficult to live in this place. I would call this place the real trash that I ever lived on.1. Apartment is old beyond maintenance.Wood walls of my place was rotting from inside. Every time I used to clean debris would fall from corners. Sink often leaked after many maintenance. One point I bought glues to hold the counter top from falling apart as they didnt fix it well. Sockets failed many times ruining my entire groceries in fridges. The power fuse would go out often. My toilet also leaked and when I called emergency number to fix it nobody picked the phone. I ended up fixing myself. (You are not renting this place you are fixing it often as They will be very late to respond). They need to stop renting place and do major renovation. It is place for money grab and they dont care about the pain of tenants.2. Equipment are revolved from one apartment to another.I put in many requests to fix dishwasher multiple times only to get it replaced with old one, and I can bet it was rotated from another apartment.3. Customer Service is horrible.Nobody picks up phone. You cannot ever get answers soon enough. They have external parcel lockers, external laundry service. But there is no easy way to sign up for them. I could never could wash clothes as the top up machine never worked. When you visit they are real soft and nice and it feels like a joke.4. Grasses around apartment is littered with dog poop.First of all this issue is of the tenants they rent out to but man , management could at-least place plastic bags all over the place and have some community rules. People dont even have dogs on their lease .I have ruined many of my shoes stepping on dog poop just staying 6 month in this tragic place. They need to make sure people dont do this. Management should keep up the place.5. Address and house names are confusing (packages will get lost)Almost all of my packages were lost when courier service delivered it. You will find multiple apartments with same # in same area. Even with building names everything is confusing. I even put security camera to make sure packages are not stolen and found out delivery drivers are as confused as we are.6. Cleaning fees are outrageous. When I left apartment sink, bathrooms were leaking and they charged paint fee for it. Send out email and they said it is in the lease. They will paint over rust and lend the apartment to you and when rust shows up they will charge you. UDR also sent images that didnt belong to us as our apartment after we left. They seem to scam people.7. Liquidation damages and subletting fees. They will charge you for these fees even when you buy your buyout and have valid reason to move out. They dont even look at your account history for payments. They dont even coordinate with their own people.

2022-03-02Save yourself the headache and don’t move here. It’s truly impressive how many corners were cut in this apartment complex. My carpet is held down with loose nails. Dishwasher was broken upon moving. My patio outside storage was filled with various unmarked pills scattered all over the floor - obvious no one checked the apartment before I moved in. Every outlet is loose - major fire hazard! Community Laundry centers are rarely cleaned and don’t work, I’ve yet to seen the any of the laundry centers fully function. Customer service is purely for show. Maintenance is completely understaffed but you can count on unreasonable wait times and hidden fees. Please look else where.

2022-06-27HORRIBLE HORRIBLE MAINTENANCE STAFF. Does not fix anything properly. There’s always SOMETHING wrong with my apartment home. Run down, old but are over charging for rent. Rent has increased $300. Air conditioning is always having problems, WATER is always OFF. TOILET AND APPLIANCES are old and RUSTED. A/C VENTS ARE DIRTY. Doors do not work PROPERLY. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

2022-02-11I took a tour of this complex in December. Thinking because it’s in Addison on Vitruvian Park it was going to be a decent and their high rating on Google. They had to have faked them. Firstly there’s several different sub communities with different building names. I was provided codes to about 3 different units on the property at first I was fine with the idea of looking at them alone until I got lost & the provided map was no help. The outside of the buildings look terrible & the insides of the 2 units I was able to find were even worse. I was honestly digested looking in those units. The kitchen sink was not positioned correctly and I was in awe of the gull they had to let people see these places as a perspective home with rent of 1050 & up 🤦🏾♀️ All the money the company put into installing keyless entry should have been put towards at least starting renovations on the actual units.

2022-02-03Dont live here, place is awful. The five star reviews are from people who just moved in. The marketing team are having many of the bad reviews deleted off of their Google page. Ive left one star reviews only for it to be deleted shortly thereafter. Garbage everywhere, neighbors throw loud parties at night, couple guys who Rev their trashy cars and peel out in the middle of the night, I caught people breaking into cars at night. Dont live here. Person was shot and killed here a few years back.
