Alamo Ranch in other cities:
Super surprised at all these negative reviews!!!! I moved in a few months ago w/ my boyfriend and have been pleased so far! Everyone in the office has been super helpful which is SUCH a breath of fresh air. They are always smiling and are BEYOND sweet. The staff at my previous apartment were cold and acted annoying at everything so Im very impressed with the Alamo Ranch team. I cant speak on the maintenance team because I havent needed to put in a work order for anything. I guess thats a good sign? Lol. They always wave when I drive by though! Even with the recent incident on property, Im very happy with Alamo Ranch. Hopefully my rate doesnt go up too much so I can renew!! Wink, wink, hi office staff!!
I’ve been living here in October will be one year! I love it here! They always have events for the community to engage in!! The office management all around is amazing and very helpful and so approachable! Super dog friendly everyone here I kid you not has a dog, no matter where you go you can have your dog there’s so much green areas!I’ve lived at three other apartments in my life and I’m going to be here at Alamo ranch for awhile till I’m ready to buy a house! And the Maintenance team is so reliable I put in a request and the next day they are at the apartment that’s a lot to say because the other apartments I lived at I had to wait at least a few days to get my request done!Overall I feel like this apartment complex is doing something right because it feels like home!
Pretty disappointed with the lack of security this place provides. Two gated entrances have lead to a break in and another vehicle of mine being stolen. Management doesn’t seem to care either as there has been an increase in community posts the past couple months. Wouldn’t recommend an apartment here if you care about your personal belongings or safety of others.
Ive had nothing but an amazing experience here at Alamo Ranch! This being my first apartment ever, Nick and the amazing staff at Alamo Ranch has made my move into San Antonio nothing but a pleasure. Maintenance is quick to responding to request and get the job done on the first visit. I also appreciate the complex following social-distancing rules and keeping everyone safe. I highly recommend living here. I will be staying here for the considerable future. :)
The move in experience was smooth. Our apartment was in a great location. We kept to ourselves and rarely needed to contact management. After a year, the place went to trash. Rude, loud people started moving in.. they would throw parties in the breezeway well pass midnight. I expected semi thin walls, but these walls are paper thin. Your neighbor is your roommate. We did not own pets and did not pay the rent we did to constantly clean other animals poo off our shoes. Our neighbors would leave their dog to potty on the patio and then spray it off, sending the odor upstairs to us. They would send out emails but of course it was never resolved. We spent a couple of pool days fishing out beer cans from the pool so my kid could swim and had to report vomit and garbage all over the cabana and pool area. Our boiler leaked and caused mold to spread in the outside closet, through the walls to our bedroom. Maintenance explained mold is a common issue for them. We signed a second time accepting the rent increase of $100+, but to sign a third time we’d have to agree to another amount of $100+ which we denied. Move out was absolutely horrendous. They contract through a company that does not “replace patches” so instead they charge you the full amount for a full carpet replacement. We scrubbed walls but still expected to have some paint issues, however we didn’t anticipate paying the full amount for a full apartment repaint. If your blinds are busted, good luck. I was told “we special order from a company but you can buy them anywhere.” This in fact is not true. We even had a Home Depot worker assist us (we tried several places). The sizes we found were all too short for their measurements but they’ll “lend you their tape measure” if for some reason yours is off.. that was nice. The only good feedback I have is their maintenance crew is effective and efficient.
I have lived at Alamo Ranch for almost a year and I have to say its the best experience I have had in apartment living. The staff is professional and friendly and is always available and responsive to our needs. They are always planning events, decorating the clubhouse depending on the season and keeping it festive and inviting. They make you feel at home and welcomed here always.Of course living in a big city things happen that are out of everyones control. The management makes a point to always keep the residents updated and informed as well as take all necessary precautions to lessen concerns on property.I cant say enough about Alamo Ranch and MAA. The management never changes which is a sign of stability and the maintenance team is one of the best in the business. I would recommend living at Alamo Ranch because compared to the competition their service and the quality is unmatched. Thank you Alamo Ranch team. I love my home.
This place is awesome! The leasing staff know what they are doing especially Nick! They are all on top of their paperwork and work orders. They are all super nice and they are super organized! The pool is always clean, the work out area is as well. They go as far as passing out snacks to the kids at the pool! This place is great! We are going on our 3rd month here and couldn’t be happier!
I was happy here.. But they absolute gouge you when you checkout. 7/ nail hole is insane. Also when we complained about mold growth around our bedroom window the solution was to bleach and paint. Then surprise only a few months later it was back and worse. The window was obviously leaking but they just do the easy cover up. Out AC went out frequently (it was leaking freon according to the maintenance guy) and the solution was to recharge periodically. So our CPS bill would shoot up and it be 85 in my apartment. The manager wanted to argue with me about how mold works and how it was just condensation. No that is beyond that... The window has an issue with the seal so hence the mold all around the edges and sill.I was having lots of issues with nose bleeds and thought it was just my allergies. Since moving to my new Home I have been 100% better. I truly believe it was the mold that was continuing to grow and they did nothing about. The level of tenants has also gone done significantly and the is no where near as nice as it used to be. People leave dog crap everywhere, trash in the halls and their patios are trashed. Parking was hard to get at my building, and many times I was awoken by loud neighbors. It is a shame, but Im glad Im done with apartment living and in my own home.Avoid this place if you want someplace nice to live.
Ive lived here for years, the staff is always so sweet and do so many resident events ( Movie at the pool, Hot coco, Nachos, Brunches). When ever I had any time of maintenance request the would be done same day. I couldnt be happier with my stay at Alamo Ranch apartments. Thank you for making it such an amazing place to live! Highly recommend!
Such an easy process if youre looking for a place to live asap. Denise was the one who gave me a tour. She couldnt have been more welcoming. I had my kids with me and she was so great with my 3 yr old and even carried my baby bag while we climbed the stairs to check out the apartments. She is definitely one of the reasons we wanted to live here.
Loved living here for a year. It was my first apartment and my room mate and I both really liked it. We got a good rate in an excellent part of the complex and despite the large amount of construction happening next to the apartments this didn’t negatively impact the experience at all. Maintanence was excellent and work orders were often taken care of same day or next day at the latest and fixed the first time. Really wish I could actually stay here but the price to renew the lease is almost $100 more then we currently pay and that unfortunately falls outside of my budget now that I will be renting alone. That is the only reason why I cannot leave 5 stars. Rent prices are going up everywhere but the area within Alamo Ranch was excellent and I would 100% reccomend renting here if it fits your price range.
It was great in the beginning I had a beautiful view by building 16 until construction started. The walls are thin and you can hear every word. You can also hear people walking/running above you. What frustrates me is that I have a miniature schnauzer that was attacked twice by big dogs such as German Shepherds. I notified them twice and they did nothing about it. The last time the owner lost control of her dog and I notified management they basically took up for her because she’s been a resident there for awhile. It doesn’t justify why my dog and I were attacked. If you have small dogs BE CAUTIOUS clearly management does not care about the safety of your pets. They could’ve put a notice out warning owners to be careful and enforce rules on having your dog on a leash at all times. I’ve lived there almost 3 years and they raised the rent every time! Yet there hasn’t been any renovations made to the apartments. The location is starting to get crowded due to more businesses being built.
I had an amazing experience touring at Alamo Ranch with Shareese!! She was so sweet and genuinely cared to help me. I now have the perfect apartment (great rate too). Thanks for everything!! UPDATE: 2 years later and still happy with my home (: Rate went up at but I figured that would happen. Worth every penny though!
This place is amazing, if I’ve had any issues they took care of them very promptly. The reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is because after our lease was up, we were kinda bummed to hear that our rent would be going up after resigning. I wish rent would stay the same for existing customers, seems only fair. But it is what it is, very nice complex and Amy in the front office is a total sweet heart! Love the fact that food trucks come often, saves on gas having to go out on nights I don’t feel like cooking. It’s a very quiet place as well, my neighbors are pretty quiet and friendly. I’d totally recommend to anyone in the market looking for a new apartment.
Ive lived here for 3 months now and I absolutely love it. The management team is amazing. Nick helped me find the perfect apartment! He is super friendly and was able to answer all questions I had. Theyre very pet friendly and the pool is amazing! If theres ever an issue with maintenance, theyre very quick to fix the problem! Ive never had a bug problem and for me thats very important!!!I would definitely recommend this place!!
After two years of a perfect record with this complex, despite the constant complaints and problems that were constantly left unhandle. I was transfered with my job to another city. Even though state laws require a lease to give a buy out when your employment transfers you, this company would not comply. They charged us every charge they could come up with equally thousands of dollars when I gave notice. we took pictures of the apartment condition upon leaving, and they still came after us with fees for damage they are claiming that was not in the apartment when we left. Danielle was extremely rude and unworkable. Had an attitude through the entire process.Very much regret our decision to ever lease from this complex!
Loud Neighbors after hours and management would not do anything.Car break-ins 2-3 times a month (hilarious when you see the safe sign out front)Then on move out they charged me for a new carpet, but did not provide proof that the carpet was in fact damaged. I have asked for proof, but they have not responded to my request.I guess once they have what they want (your money), they dont feel they need to deal with you any more.
Absolutely love these apartments. They do so many things to make this place feel like a community such as parties, bbqs, bouncy houses etc. They also really care about the landscaping and cleaniness of the complex. They are constantly sending out notices making sure residents know to clean up after themselves and reminders on certain rules like cleaning up after your dog and dont leave junk on your patio. For me, I like that because I prefer a clean good looking community. Maintenance is also great. They have always responded within 24 hrs of submitting a request. Its a safe place, good schools and great for families. Highly recommended it.

2022-04-280 star if I could. Living there is OK, but leaving, they are crooks. After paying for the last month, I agreed to pay the 250.00 for them to clean, and also when I moved in a year ago the apartment was very dirty. I had to clean it stove dishwasher carpet flooring, etc. Any way I got a bill for 1000.00 dollars because I didnt vacuum the carpet and was told that it had to be replaced. Because it was flat, by the door, where you had to walk in and out, go figure. Im at the point where I asked for the carpet after they removed it because I am in talks with a lawyer, and was told that they threw it away. But I talked with the maintenance guys and they said that the apartment had not been cleaned or carpet removed 🤔, if you have been taken advantage of by this apartment complex, contact us and lets sue them for all the wrong doing..I have read plenty of reviews about the same thing happening here. Please if youre looking for an apartment dont get one here. If you already live there, when you move out, take many pictures of everything from flooring to ceiling. Ps make sure you record all conversations and contacts. These people will change things around to make sure they get more money out of you 😒..

2022-02-25I feel taken advantage of before we even got to sign our lease. We were doing as much as we could online cause we were moving from two hours away. Paid the 60 dollar application fee and almost immediately after 250 was taken from our account without permission. I guess that was to put it on hold. We got to San Antonio, our first time viewing the apartment was a couple days after the withdrawal of 250 from our account. 1500 dollars was our quote on paper the day of viewing for an apartment that was somewhat lackluster, carpet throughout, laminate counters no stainless steel appliances. The day after we saw it we told them we wanted to back out. They kept the 250 and wanted 60 more for the application fee. So that amounts to 370 for not moving in? Also, another kicker the leasing agent said 750 to move in is non refundable 1500 if its refundable over the phone.. got to San Antonio that story changed on paper 1500 to move in non refundable and 2500 refundable. We found a better apartment and moved in for 850 out the door, no game playing. These people are crooked. They are highly staffed and thats where most of the residents money seems to go, is towards fishing more unsuspecting people into this borderline ponzi scheme. My take away from all this is just because you can take advantage of someone doesnt mean you should. On a good note, I am loving San Antonio as a whole. Alamo Ranch was just a little bump in the road as far as Im concerned. Happy trails guys.

2022-02-24I lived here for a year and a half. My first building was badly hit during Snowpocalypse 2021/flooded and had to relocate to a different building. They were accommodating and handled it the best they could. It was a crazy Texas storm after all. The walls are thin, so sometimes you can hear your neighbors. Floors are thin, so if you have stomping ogres above you, you will hear them and their dogs sliding and stomping around. Most of the staff is alright, some way more helpful than others. Gates are constantly broken or being maintained, so sometimes that was a drag to wait on someone to exit so you can get inside the complex. But maintenance is super nice and helpful and great. I had a small roach problem but they came and sprayed but little critters will get in if you’re on the first floor. These apartments served their purpose for me, though. I had nice views from my porch on both buildings, and I like the kitchen and bath tubs. Traffic is bad during bad traffic times on Alamo parkway but wild pine is easier to get out of. That’s all I can think of, if you are considering this location, just consider these relatively normal/common probs of apartment living and I don’t think you’ll be hugely disappointed. They will move you in fast. Just know what you want before you sign anything or put any money down.

2022-06-20Nick at the front office was always professional and very helpful! I lived here for 10 months and it was a great experience. For it being my first apartment after moving out of my parents, Nick made the moving in and moving out process very smooth.

2022-03-04If I could give half a star gates are always out of order leading to cars getting stolen or broken in to. Cameras dont work. When maintenance employees come to check out problems theyre mean and vague in replying and solving problems (never fix anything correctly) if youre from a Latino Spanish speaking household. People get robbed of their money for what for administration not to care if your vehicle got stolen or broken into cause if they did care about the safety of their residents cameras would work as well as gates always closed and up running.

They’re all sooooo phenomenal and not once have ever not been able to answer a question or complete a request!! 2020-08-03If you didn’t feel like you had a 5-star experience it’s because you didn’t have Nicholas (Nick) as your leasing consultant. My experience overall would have probably have been 4-stars but Nick’s customer service and drive for excellence really pushed it over the edge. This place definitely deserves more than a 3-star rating and it isn’t a place you should be weary to move into. Some people just can’t be pleased and it seems like most of the complaints are from people who don’t like living in an apartment complex in general. I never see pests, my neighbors don’t make a sound (can’t hear any noise at night), the maintenance staff are respectful, courteous, and resolve matters promptly. The Alamo Ranch area is a growing so the main road can be a bit loud through night but that’s living in a city.I see a lot of people have issues with being charged when moving out. You are responsible for your lease contract and it is your responsibility to document things so you’re not charged when leaving. My only advise to you is to document everything before moving in and have it addressed before signing your lease. I will update my review in a few months if things change.

2021-02-24I love the apartment features (huge closets, garden tub, large patio) and the grounds are beautiful. Staff is always friendly and quick to help. My only complaint is that people dont pick up after their dogs and the dog park is sad and small. On the positive note, it forces me to walk my dog longer. Im really glad I found these apartments.

2020-11-28I love the location. I love the staff. Denise was really helpful to me when I first got here, the entire staff is great though. I had a few issues during my stay with all of the craziness of 2020 going on, but they did work with me and I do appreciate that. I like the way that the leasing office communicates issues with the tenants and the measures that theyve taken in response to everything thats happened this year. I didnt really take advantage of all of the amenities that this place has as much as I couldve, but there are plenty for those that will. Overall good stay, good experience.
