Alliance Jiu Jitsu in other cities:
I was looking for a Jiu-Jitsu studio for a while and finally landed on this one. This is a great place to come learn if you are an absolute beginner or a seasoned veteran. They run so many classes throughout the week you are bound to find something that fits your schedule. The instructors are fantastic!! 10 out of 10 would highly recommend!
Just started my 4 year old daughter Arya in her Jiu-Jitsu class this pass month and she absolutely LOVES it!! She is OBSESSED with her Coaches Sam & Jean and is always asking when her practices are. The staff and atmosphere are always uplifting and such a joy to be around! Very grateful to have found Alliance Jiu-Jitsu! Highly Recommend! 😊
I went in for the free trial, and experienced one night of the phenomenal training that Alliance Jiu-Jitsu has to offer.I just have to say that I was amazed with the professionalism, the culture of respect, and the cleanliness and professional appeal of the environment.Sam and the other coaches were very friendly and accommodating definitely have to recommend Alliance if youre serious about training!
Love this gym. The best decision ever made of enrolling my son here to learn Jiu Jitsu been going for about 4months now absolutely love them. Great teachers Sam and JP so are the other teachers. As single parent it’s hard raising your son. My son is now more discipline and focus at school. Really has improved him a lot. Thank you Sam and JP for all great job y’all do with the kids.
Lost 22lbs in 6 weeks!!!! Do you want to lose weight? Do you struggle to find motivation to work out? Do you want to be part of a great community? Go talk to Sam and his crew at Alliance Jiu Jitsu and they will hook you up!I found Alliance while I was searching for regular gyms in my local area. Alliance was offering a 42-day Warrior Challenge. After doing a quick consultation with Sam, I signed up. Sam is not only a black belt in Jiu Jitsu but he’s also a life coach. He will help you develop a plan to meet your goals in and outside the gym. He gave me meals plans, advice, and a training regime that allowed me to drop 22lbs and 2” off my waist in 6 weeks. Trust me, if I can do it, so can you!Initially, I was apprehensive before joining since I’m in my mid-30’s, I was incredibly out of shape (i.e. did not seriously work out for like 5yrs), and I assumed that Jiu Jitsu (or any martial art) was only for the young and athletic. I was wrong! I’ve never been part of a more welcoming community. There’s nothing but fist-bumps and high-fives going around for everyone on the mats. Training at Alliance has truly been a life-changing experience and they’re on a mission to make Jiu Jitsu accessible to everyone. Training at Alliance has become the highlight of my week.My wife was so impressed with the results that she signed up for Muay Thai and is having an incredible experience training under Jean and Toco as well. All of the instructors work with you and will push you to improve. Our experience was so positive that we also enrolled our kids. They love the Youth and Little Monsters Jiu Jitsu classes. Sam and Jean are incredible with the kids and they make the classes fun and enjoyable for those with shorter attention spans. I only wish that they incorporated dodge ball into the adult class warm-ups!Alliance offers free intro classes and they often run specials that will allow you to get the Alliance experience for yourself. Jiu Jitsu is life-changing and the crew at Alliance is phenomenal. Go give it a try! You won’t regret it…but you may become addicted!
So you’re thinking about training jiu jitsu and want to find the best school around you. Well then, look no further. You won’t find a school with more programs, more passion, or more fun for the whole family.Start with a simple google search or reddit search on the best Brazilian Jiu Jitsu instructors in Dallas-Fort Worth. Time and time again you will see countless comments about Instructor Samuel Snow. Why? Because of his passion and love for teaching. It’s not about just showing the moves of the day and calling it a day. It’s the taking the extra time to give you an idea where these moves will lead to next. As well, for those that are newer, it’s the spending extra time making sure their technique is right, while others are live training, spending more focused time on the basics and answering questions. It’s not just about teaching, but creating community. What you will hear from the families: A recent example I experienced after a yoga class: Parents talking about how their kid(s) started competing. One parent taking about how their daughter watched their other daughter compete, then the second daughter knew this was for her. The other parent talking about how their kid watched a competition and felt the same way. Both families bragging about how well their kids have done in these competitions. Why people keep coming back? Remember me talking about community? Everyone who trains at Alliance wants to help everyone get better. The newest addition of Sami’s Wednesday/Friday yoga helps those who are willing to show up get their head in the right way place for the rest of the week. No matter what programs you choose, no matter what your skill level you are at, give it one month and see the changes it will make in your life.My experiences from the last month alone: I have been training the fundamentals BJJ classes on Tuesdays/Thursdays, no-gi classes on Wednesdays, and going to open-mats on Friday nights. As well, doing yoga with Sami on Wednesdays and Fridays. During that time I have lost 16lbs, I have gone from not even able to last one five minute round to being able to recover my breath and continue going. Are you ready to take the challenge?
Sam and staff are incredible. Real and goal oriented focus and planning to be successful. Though just starting, the introduction was detailed and tailored to being fully successful in all aspects. Will be doing a updated review in 42 days with pictures from beginning to completing fitness assessment. Confident already in believing a strong value for health improvement thats tailored to be lasting.
This is such clean and amazing gym with so many classes. Coach Samuel can teach so much to everyone thats by. Since I been here it keeps growing they added dressing rooms now too. I highly recommend to all that are new or looking for a new gym. I especially recommend the Muay Thai with Coach Chris.
Choosing the right MMA gym seems a daunting task when you’re a newbie. After signing my son and self up, I quickly realized that I had truly found a rare GEM of a GYM.Their friendly, yet competitive atmosphere breeds a unique vibe. One thing that really stood out was how all the students were super nice and extremely helpful when I was new. I would roll or drill with people that I naturally assumed would be annoyed with my lack of abilities, but I was wrong. It’s like the tenured students themselves are a bonus extension of the professors. The advanced belts that attend are not there just for themselves. It took some patience and time, but every month or so new things I picked up would finally click. Being able to observe such a steady flow of improvement was very satisfying and helped fuel a much needed healthy addiction. The primary instructors, Sam and Jean are not only competitive champs well known in the BJJ world, but it’s apparent that they have also been teaching BJJ and Muy Thai for many years.JP, Robert, Tatiana, and Freddy are a few of the other awesome instructors. They’re all exceptionally technical geniuses when it comes to BJJ. Kudos to them and what they bring to the table!I’m very grateful I discovered Alliance MMA!
We are new to jiu-jitsu and we enrolled our 10yr old about two months ago. He loves going to practice and feels welcome and part of the team. He’s beginning to learn and understand how to be a good sport and continue to try even if he gets taken down. He’s also starting to learn how to master his techniques thanks to Coach Sam Snow and his team of coaches.Great school - excellent coaches who truly love teaching and the art. The class sizes are reasonable and allow for each child to be observed by the coach to make sure that they are in the right form. I really like that they offer tournaments and the ability to participate in competitions and I look forward to my son being able to compete in the future. Also, they just got a new facility and it’s great!
Coach Snow is clearly very skilled at his art, if you havent seen any of his videos yet check them out. Also he is very patient and demonstrating. The facilities are very clean & spacious, and everyone is class is very accepting to newcomers. If your looking for BJJ this is your place.
At first, I began training jiu-jitsu under Sam in 2015 as a fun way to get into shape and to shed some pounds, but after a month I was hooked.Training at Alliance Jiu-Jitsu DFW has been great. Not only am I constantly learning a skill that has proven to work in the real world, but I have also been introduced to great people that I would have never met otherwise. The coaches always motivate in a positive way and my teammates are always more than happy to drill techniques.I’d recommend both friends and family to start training with Sam.
Sam is the man. You will receive excellent instruction from one of the top instructors and competitors in Texas. Sams students receive plenty of individual attention in classes and Sam is always available for private lessons as well. It is very much a team/family atmosphere. The mats at Snow MMA are a sanctuary of positivity, where you can always come have fun and forget about your stresses for a while. I always say theres never a mood so bad that a good jiu jitsu training session cant fix, and the training here is nothing but great. Come out and try a class, you wont regret it!
Amazing place, JP, Prof. Sam, and Rob are excellent teachers of the sport and art of BJJ. Their attention to detail during drilling or rolling is amazing. You not only know what to do but the reason and logic behind every move and hold. You thus learn a system of concepts instead of individual moves and passes. As a complete beginer, this place sets me at an ease and also gives the necessary push to improve. Would recommend this place to anyone beginning or advanced.
Fantastic school with great teachers and a friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Great for all ages. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking to get fit, learn self defense, prepare for tournament play or just get out of the house and have something fun, productive and healthy in their life.Do yourself the favor, stop by.
A great gym that is all about bettering themselves and their students. Our girls have learned a lot from the coaches here. Coach Snow and his team get what it takes to motivate students, they want to help them reach their goals, and they are constantly bettering themselves as people and gym, so that they are capable of measurable progress.
Snow MMA is a great place to learn BJJ, Muay Thai, Kick Boxing, Boxing, Wrestling and self defense. They have a really good kids program and would recommend any parent to Snow MMA for self defense and too have fun! Samuel Snow himself is a active competitor while being a top notch instructor. If you are around the area, I highly encourage to check the facility out and you wont be disappointed.
Becoming a student under Sam was the best decision for our family. Myself, my husband and our son all train under his instruction and have grown in our Jiu jitsu practice and our fitness health! As a family training here is incredibly rewarding and convenient. It is rare to find a wonderful childrens program and adult program all under one roof!Sam is wonderful and I highly encourage any women interested in trying jiu jitsu to Come visit us!
Sam is a great teacher and all of the people here are awesome. Every time I go here I can feel myself getting better! Sam is a top competitor in the bjj scene and many undefeated mma fighters train with the people here on occasion. Sam has a plethora of knowledge of what hes teaching and a solid core of friends and coaches that will help you and anyone else reach their fitness and self defense goals
You will not find better instruction in DFW! Sam Snow is a BJJ black belt who has an incredible ability to simplify complicated moves. Hes great with both kids and adults, beginners all the way to professional fighters. Will Campuzano is a bit of a legend in Dallas as a UFC, Legacy, Vale Tudo, and WEC vet he has a tremendous amount of experience in striking and MMA. He has a unique talent to customize a coaching strategy for the individual and his understanding and ability to communicate fight theory and concepts is second to none. Again, whether youre a beginner or pro fighter, you will feel comfortable and challenged in his class. The other instructors, Chris and Tatiana are also fantastic and teach really fun and technical classes. This is a Great gym to help you reach your goals in fitness, self defense, competition, stress relief, building confidence, and more! Definitely check it out... I think they offer a free trial.
We have been there 4 months now and my son LOVES it. From day one Sam doesnt let the kids push his buttons, sets boundaries and he stays on point with with they are doing. We love Tatiana and Amanda as well. They all have so much fun while training the kids. and the best part is that my son is worn out when we get home...
I have seen my son grow leaps in bounds in just two months. He is so much more active and loves going here. I can see everyday he gets better and better it takes longer for him to get tired out. Ive also noticed a have confidence boost, he is more sure of himself and is a bit more daring with trying new things. I really have chosen the best place possible for my son and would tell anyone to bring their kids here.

This place it’s family-oriented and a great place to join. My 4-year-old daughter loves her “ninja” class and my husband and I both do their Jiu-Jitsu classes.

2022-03-16BJJ Instructors Jean Petrik and Sam Snow especially, are exceptional teachers. I moved to the area recently and trained at another school before. I knew from my trial class and working with Sam that this was the place to be after trying out other gyms nearby. Even with sometimes large classes the instructors make their rounds and help everyone individually which isnt always as common at other gyms. Everyone that I train with understands intensity threshold and can either take it easy or give you the competition roll youre looking for; no egos here. Theres also a great mix of hobbyists and people that like to compete if youre looking for either one. BJJ changed my life for the better and Im happy to be apart of the Alliance team now.

2021-05-13I wanted to learn Jiu-Jitsu for a long time. So, I shopped around looking for that special school...On the month of March I found the school through a challenge. I did the challenge and do not regret doing so. To me, Alliance has become more than a school to learn a martial art. It is a great place to grow physically and mentally. The coaches are very professional and patient. They make sure you understand each move. The environment is one where you feel welcome and become part of a family.I have fallen in love with this place!
