I’ve been using Alpine Heating & AC since 2018. Cliff (the owner) has always been helpful & genuine to solve AC & Heating issue(s).In my case this week, my AC #2 unit which provide the cool/warm for 2nd floor level using the Nest thermostat which control this unit was out due to the error (e23) “no power to Rc wire detected” and since the AC was out 2 days prior and our local Austin weather in April was cool during in the evening so no AC was running until AC needed to running normal setting schedule then I found out from my Google Nest app that AC #2 was “off line”..meaning no power, not charging the Nest thermostat then Nest has no battery to operate and communicate to WiFi.at first, I thought it is the Nest thermostats issue. I the started troubleshooting by switching the RED Rc to RED RH port, still not work and thought I have a bad nest thermostat. I switched and unbox a brand new Nest thermostat but same error. So all these happen on a Sunday (which day #3 without AC) and I thought no one would work so I turned to you tube video. I guess each video show from different region in USA so AC configuration may be different. In my case the furnace (part of the AC unit to control air flow) located in the attic and mentioned from the video was the AC drain got clogged up. My Furnace has 2 drainages, the primary drainage goes from my furnace to a pvc pipe to a below bathroom sink and the secondary drainage went to my out side below the eave of the 2nd floor roof and it was No clogged, dry and so my drainage pan below my furnace.Cliff advised me about the primary drainage that I didn’t know about. So spend at least 2-hrs there to clean out. It was dirty from previous replaced unit got rusted and tech didn’t clean out and I wouldn’t know. But still not work..Cliff send out the first visit (Monday / day#4 without AC) and the tech named Scotty and he did some measurements at the furnace and remove various wire connection to measure with his volt meter and realized intermittent power in/out then he went straight to my break panel located in my garage wall and advised me to required them electrician to replace a furnace faulty breaker. Scotty said it is NOT his job to touch anything outside of AC related and the breaker panel is one of them. I got silent heart broken and can’t figure out why because definitely my Furnace get intermittent on/off power and my AC guy is here and why not get the power back.(Day #5 without AC) @ 1pm appointment, the electrician arrived and confirm “it is NOT a breaker and no need to replace). He went to the furnace and tried to figure out about no power. There is a power on/off switch near by the furnace and open to take a look inside and there is a power wire was bare touch the contact due to the broken plastic piece to hold the screw and the wire in place, but whomever installed this switch way back in 1998 was supposed to loop the power wire and tie in w/ the screw and instead leave the straight wire between the screw and the plastic part. The electrician replaced to a new switch and we get power to the furnace. Now, the furnace is running and blowing out just air (not a cool air).(Day #6 without cool AC) Cliff send out a 2nd team (Jose & Victor). Jose check the power reading at the outside compressor (which AC unit locate outside next to my home structure) and power reading there was good. Jose did some power measurements at the furnace and realized the 1st team (Scotty missed place the power line of the overflow sensor). Jose did a re-work and now cool air is blowing. Because of the wrong connection Jose said the outside compressor did not running). Jose was nice enough to check and ok with my 2 units does not need additional Freon. Within 15min of visit. Jose able to get the cool AC blowing cool air).I just wished that Jose was the 1st team to visit and figure that would save us 2-days sooner with working AC.At the end Cliff was a helpful to me of communicate thru text and my bill was $125.00. Asked for CLiFF & Jose to solve y’all AC issues.

I would like to compliment Alpine on their excellent customer service in making a situation right. Following the initial service call, we were pretty frustrated that the refrigerant recharge only lasted 24 hrs until the unit went out again. After expressing our concerns, Alpine explained the technician’s decision yet was empathetic to our frustration. Needless to say, they refunded us for 50% of the tab which made us feel appreciated as a customer. Alpine will treat you right as they put the customer’s interests ahead of their own. We recommend using Alpine if you want to be taken care of as a customer!

We’ve been working with Alpine for years and they’ve always been reliable and do good work. We have an 8,000+ Sf building downtown and they’ve done everything from replacing rooftop AC units to small projects inside. Highly recommend.

Were very happy with our decision to go with Alpine for our new AC. Ask me in 10 years if I still think they did a good job, but based on the bid process and installation, these guys get 5 stars. Id describe them as clear, fair, honest, knowledgeable, and practical in their dealings. And super nice. We got five bids and their pricing hit right around the middle. There is no upselling. Both Cliff, the owner, and Corey answered multiple rounds of questions and helped us pick out the right unit for our needs. Ruben, Jose, and Jordan did a great job on the install, and they took care to clean up afterwards. I would recommend Alpine to anyone needing a new HVAC.

These guys are honest, professional and fast! They saved me from being tricked into buying a new $8000 HVAC system. When my AC went out in the peak of summer, Radiant tried to take advantage and lied about the age of my system. Alpine was not only honest about it being a small repair, but they proactively checked to see that the part was under warranty and fixed it the next day within an hour. Corey was very responsive and the owner himself came out for a follow up the following day.

I shopped around to install a Dust Free Active Purifier. Corey was very responsive and offered the best quote. When I reached out weeks later after doing my cost research, he immediately responded and was able to get the installation service scheduled the following day—WOW!!! The tech, Scotty, who came out to install the device was on-time, professional and knew the product very well. He took the time to show us in detail the installation performed and how to monitor the device. I was very impressed by Scotty and his willingness to interact the entire process with me. If you’re looking for quality customer service and professional work, look no further than Alpine Heating & Air Conditioning.

Im so happy I called Alpine for a quote when I knew my A/C unit was on its last legs. I had gotten quotes from other companies but was not comfortable with their pushy sales approach. Cliff didnt try to sell me anything. He gave me his recommendations then let me make the decision. I appreciate how honest and transparent they are. I will only use Alpine for my heating and air conditioning going forward!

The virtually impossible was pulled off by this great small family business. We have a rather old home and one of our units died in a part of the attic that is rather difficult to get to. There is an 8ft drop down on our two level attic. From the beginning Corey assessed options and produced a confident solution to replace our old power draining unit that the blower eventually went out. Cliff the owner came by as well with extra assurance that the job could be done.Alpine showed up promptly at 7am with Jose, Tony, and crew and tackled mission impossible. As with my previous experiences I did have an anxiety with the inevitable well we have a problem... but that never happened. They were here all day as promised and it was the smoothest install experience given the challenge. I honestly thought it would take longer than a day. They went the extra mile and did some rather large cleanup left behind by past work in the attic.Small family businesses are often overshadowed by the bigger companies but hands down, Ill be using Alpine without question for any future maintenance and replacement of our other units. Good things should happen to good people and this is a fine family run HVAC company. Give Corey, Cliff, Jose and team a chance and you will be writing a review like this.

Alpine have been a pleasure to deal with throughout the time I have been working with them.. They regularly service HVAC units at my home and rental property for me, and have made various minor repairs along the way, as well as installing a complete new system in one rental unit. Their service is consistently prompt, efficient and courteous, and their pricing is always fair. They are always willing to discuss their work in detail, and explain what they are doing and how their pricing is calculated. But just recently they really, really came through for me: I received a text on Friday morning from a tenant letting me know that their HVAC was not working. The daytime temperature at present is 95-100 degrees, so that was never going to be a good thing. But these particular tenants were going to be hosting family at their home that very evening for a rehearsal dinner prior to their Saturday wedding . . . aaaaaagh! I called Alpine at about 7:30 a.m. and had a callback from Norma by around 8:00. By 9:30 a.m. one of their techs (I think it was Jose - he is The Man so far as I am concerned) had been out, replaced a failed capacitor and life was returning to normal. And the price for that emergency call out could not have been more reasonable. This company totally gets my vote every time! Thank you, Alpine!
