I used to have a different pest control provider. But with Alterra, I had a better experience with both the service professionals and the sales. And for lesser cost. I am happy with their services so far. As far as bugs infestation is concerned, Id rather wait a few more weeks to see if results. I am sure all their service personnel are good. But I had very good experience with Mr. Dante Brown and Mr. John Block. Insist on them ;-)
We are very impressed by Alterra Pest Control and our service rep, Steven Mata. We chose not to renew our annual contract with a large national chain and so happy that we found Alterra!! Steven was very professional during all communication at our home during the treatment service. He was thorough in his work and focused on doing a great job. This is our first time using Alterra, and so far we are very satisfied. :) Our tech Brian H. was very professional, polite and informative. He was thorough, and made sure I understood the company policies on call backs if any situation arises with ants or wasps. We are really impressed with the services and professionalism.

Alterra came to the house the other day to set up an appointment for pest control.She was very good and was professional. I had a conflict for the original date set up for the treatment and they were very reasonable with the re-schedule.Treatment day - we were provided service by Mr. TJ Robinson, he was on-time and very pleasant. Explained the service plan and treatment for the day. When all was done, he explained what was performed and provided the same description of what to look for for the next 10 days.5 stars for Alterra all around.
Today I had to reschedule my service due to a garage sale we had set up Thurs - Sat. I have requested to have James Powell come back to perform our monthly service. James serviced my property last month in a very friendly and professional manner. He handled the problems I was having with spiders, though I still have some, I do not have near as many. Our service pro Jack Burgess was very professional and informative when he came by to do the outside fumigation. The job was done in timely manner and I was satisfied by his service. On top he was very informative and cleared any doubts we had and made sure to ask about any specific pests we have any problems with. Good work overall.
I just had my house serviced by Alterra Pest Control technician Joey Gary. He did a great job spraying the house and yard. He took care of everything I asked him to do and was very knowledgeable about his craft. He was also friendly and very professional. During the previous visit (not by Joey), the chemicals killed my grass. Im waiting to see if that happens again (reason for the 4 star).
Great Service from Alterra. D Brown not only sprayed around the house, he took great care to remove all the spider wasps around the house. I previously was using bugstopper but they never touched any spider webs. I would definitely recommend Alterra - great service for good price.
James Powell came to my home and explained what he was going to do to get rid of the wasps that invaded our home. We just had our 2nd quarterly spray today. We never had a huge problem with critters & pests, but I definitely havent had any problems with bugs and wasps anymore. John Block was great introducing himself and explaining what services were provided today, and we have (all around) had a great experience with Alterra so far. A handful of neighbors have already asked who we use for pest control and lawn maintenance, because the front yard look so nice with the rose bushes all in bloom! Glad to have that flower bed sprayed to get rid of aphids. :)
Alterra Pest Control service representatives are the best. They are polite, knowledgeable and helpful. The scheduling is convenient, acknowledged online via email and they show up on time. I have experienced fewer yard pests and have not had any pests indoors since using Alterra. I would recommend their service, it is reasonable and there are several promotional offers to make it more attractive.
This was our second treatment by Alterra. I have been very please by the service and results so far. Kyle J did a great job of explaining this service before he started and asked about pest Ive been seeing around the house. He went beyond the expected service when he removed a Muddopper nest from the backyard cover. I was impress by his final application specifically targeting roaches. NICE JOB Kyle!
RIley M was out today to do our yard. Couldnt have asked for a more professional guy. He was very courteous and professional. Did the entire yard front and back and covered it very well. I switched from another pest control company that I had been using for about a year. I was happy for the first two times and then their service went down hill once they were bought out. I will be honest and was not happy that I had someone knocking on my door, but I am pleased I listened! Evan Crowley came in for my first service and walked me through what the service would entail, etc.. I was pleased by his efficiency and his great attitude as well! If the service continues to be this good and doesnt stop after the second service as with the previous company, Im a a customer for life!
Casey, our Service Pro, explained everything about todays treatment in a detailed manner. She was polite, well spoken, and answered all our questions with complete confidence. Our first experience with Alterra was a positive one and I would highly recommend Brett (Sales) and Casey to anyone.
We had our quarterly maintenance appointment today and I was very pleased with the job Victoria Brown did. She went above and beyond what other service professionals have done for us. When I told her about a persistent ant problem we had in the kitchen, she went beyond the minimum treatment all the other people that have come to our home have done. David Fernandez is always very pleasant when he comes to my house. He listens to what I have seen and deals with the issues that I am having at that time. Oscar Brown came out and sprayed our yard. He was very informative on things that needed to be done and how to treat certain areas of our yard. My fiance Jeremy Browning spoke with him and liked how knowledgeable he was out the business. We will continue to use this companies services and hopefully have the same Service Pro again.
John Block came to my house a couple of days ago for our quarterly service. He did a great job, and was extremely courteous and had a smile on his face. He came to the door and was very clear about what he was there to do, and then after he was done came back and explained what he had observed. He also offered to come inside and spray if needed (we didnt need him to). John was very thorough even spraying windows, weep holes and other areas where insects and pests can enter the home. We have had a great experience in the year weve been using Alterra, and John is a great face for the company here in the Houston area !! Thank you, Alterra !!
My Service Pro Joey Gary not only treated my property but he gave great detail on what the products do. In addition he provided great knowledge on the new Raspberry ants in the Texas area and what hes doing to curb them from entering our home. Very glad I switched to the Alterra service from my previous pest control service.
J. Gary was very efficient when treating my home. Also, very professional and friendly. He took his time and asked if I had any questions or concerns. He treated both the outside and inside and worked with my (cause of my dogs) he did the outside first while they ate, then moved to the inside while they were outside in the back yard like I asked. Obviously, also they only pest control that actually works, Were in a new community with lots of open field (that means lots of spiders and all kinds of bugs).Great Service, Im very please.Thank You Alterra.
I just want to start off with the 4* that I am leaving is for the employee, James Powell, not for Alterra itself. James did a wonderful job in explaining what spraying was done and for what reason. When he was putting chemicals in my house for ants, he informed me of all places that he laid it out. He was very curtious and respectful. I was very pleased to have him as my technician.As for the company, I would not recommend them for anything. I had a Service Tech that was suppose to come out the Friday of Memorial Weekend and did not show until an hour and a half from his 4 hour window. He claimed on his paper that he left that he was at my house by 1:30 but my husband and I did not leave until 1:45 and he was not hear. I rescheduled for June 16th and no one showed. And finally someone showed today but I was called this morning to be informed of the time. Also, I have left 3 messages for the manager to call me and to this date, have not received a call back. Those of you who would recommend, you must have had better luck than I but I can tell you, I would not.Yvette K.
My Alterra Service Pro, Sean C. just finished servicing my home. He was very friendly and efficient, getting everything done in a timely manner. I even spotted a large snake in the backyard after telling him I never had any large pests, and Sean was ready to take action and get rid of it. Just received our second quarter application (after the initial application so they have been out here three times now) and I can say that three times the Service Pros have been courteous and knowledge. What impresses me the most is the consistency in process. That shows me that Alterra is serious about their service and the training of their Service Pros. James Powell answered all my questions (even in the when it was 39F outside) and did the same thorough job I have come to expect to Alterra. Great job James and Alterra.
Had a great experience with Alterra employee Steve Mata! I spotted him working on our neighbors yard and asked he could take care of a couple of ant mounds in our yard. He could of blown me off and told me to call a number to schedule service but he went out of his way to take care of our issue. Great job Steve Mata.
George Ronne was very informative when explaining my Four Seasons Protection Plan. He explained about all my services that will be performed. Never before have I had any type of service person in my home that was so informed about his job. So glad I am using Alterra if that is the kind of employees they hire.
I just signed up with Alterra and am very impressed with the people I have delt with! From the person knocking on my door...Grant, to the person who actually sprayed my house...Evan.Grant was friendly and informative. When I told him I was busy but would call him later - he was not pushy but understanding of my time. His attitude earned him (and Alterra) 3 new customers.Evan Crowley...His mannerisms were so comfortable. It felt like an old friend came to my house...not a complete stranger. He asked questions and listened to what I told him were my bug issues...then quickly got after killing those critters! He was very good and efficiant.We have used other companies in the past - but never have I seen results this fast! I have not seen a spider in my house since he sprayed!
Ive used Alterra for several years now. Im happy with the service and the professionalism of the service techs. James Powell is no exception. He did the inside and outside of our rather large home and yard and took the time to cover all the areas I was concerned about.
I’m a new customer of Alterra and have yet to determine how well they can keep my home pest free. 4 stars for great customer service. Joey Gary’s professionalism and knowledge deserves a 5 star rating. He was able to answer my questions and able to provide suggestions in order to maintain a pest free environment.
Casey Bowman came out to administer my homes quarterly service a few days ago. She was quick, proficient, professional and even ensured my broken side gate was shut properly unlike many other companies that service my property. Overall I was very happy with the pest-control treatment.
I had the team come back out between my quarterly services due to an increase in ants sightings. Joey Gary showed up on time, was very courteous, and explained exactly what he was going to do. He was very professional and was happy to be here to help. The guarantee to provide free follow up work between quarterly treatments is a great deal!
Riley and Tanner were my service tech guys. They were on time and polite. They attempted to go over everything in great detail with me, however my amazing sales person Brice had already done so and I didnt care to hear it again as I was trying to wrangle the kids for dinner and bath time. They were so understanding of my time constraints, went about their business in getting everything done and let me know when they were done so I could put my padlock back on my gate...They were professional, courteous, and most importantly to me didnt look like thugs who were scoping out my house for a heist!!! Cant say enough good things about them!!!
Shawn Ortiz was AMAZING! He was extremely helpful and friendly. He was very patient with me when I tried to explain my concerns. He addressed every question I had. This is the first time I never had to worry about any bugs or spiders. I am definitely going to contact Alterra Pest Control to have Shawn do our service every quarter.
After signing up with Alterra for only 2 weeks, I called to report seeing ants and small spiders in our Cypress home. Within 1.5 hours our Alterra Service Pro-Brandon Martin was ringing our doorbell. He did a very thorough job of applying granular insecticide around our yard and followed-up by spraying liquid insecticide outside around our foundation. Instead of waiting days for a tech to get to our home; Brandon solved our problem in 3 hours. I think this is why they call him a Service Pro.
Just got through with my first treatment schedule with Evan Crowley. He was extremely thorough inside the house and outside. Very polite, professional, and helpful. Im glad that I decided to go with Alterra, I will be recommending them to my neighbors because of the service from Evan and JJ.
This is my first quarterly service from Alterra. Casey actually showed up early and did a very thorough job. She was very courteous and asked questions in order to understand the problem so that she could apply the right solution. She sprayed inside and out, even inside the doghouse! I would highly recommend Alterra.
Our Service Pro, Welington Garcia, just finished up with our quarterly service. He was really nice, friendly, and enthusiastic, He had a permanent smile on, like he awoke this morning and was excited about coming to work. Welington was exactly what is missing in customer service today. He was fantastic about every question that I had and I am really glad that he was my technician.
Weve had numerous pest control companies in the past. Co-worker suggested I give them a try…. I am extremely satisfied now with Alterra Pest Control. They actually email you a service reminder for your quarterly in case you need to change…. AND they have never missed a beat in showing up!! I, Paula S., retained Alterra after purchasing a new built home in a fairly new subdivision. A few months after moving in, I realized I had unwanted guest in my attic! Unable to get rid of them myself, I reached out for help. After the first couple of services I had called Alterra because my guest would not leave!!! After being so disappointed with Alterra Pest Control response to my calls, I called and cancelled my contract with them. Paying the amount in full for the remainder of my contract, since it was going to cost more to outright cancel the contract! Then, exterminator, John B., WOWed me! He was, of course, apologetic; but what impressed me most was the amount of time he took explaining to me Alterras process and the steps needed to get rid of my unwanted’ attic guest. Needless to say, I called to Alterra and requested the same exterminator to complete the remainder of my contract services. As far as the company is concerned, Im not impressed!!! As long as exterminator, John B. is sent out to complete a job, far as I am concerned; he will keep Alterra in business! I say all the time, in todays time, you cant pay for good service; but he made feel there is still hope for our customer service providers in the world today. Im not rating Alterra Pest Control, the company, but my exterminator 5 stars!!!!!

Our technician, Joey Gary, seemed genuinely concerned with our pest problems, and offered MULTIPLE suggestions to reduce the infestations. Joey Gary did a great job doing a quarterly treatment today. He asked what concerns we had about any pests in our home. He also verified what plants were growing in the backyard to make sure he didnt spray any of our herbs or vegetables. He also did a great job knocking down spider and wasps nests all around the home. He was very pleasant and helpful.
While I do experience some issues with contact and getting a call back at times, I have had the service 2 years. I rarely see anything inside, and when I do, I get free callback to come do the inside. Today TREVOR JONES came and since I am rarely home, I asked way too many questions, but he gave me all the answers I asked for etc and was courteous even though I was following him around bothering him. Everyone who theyve ever sent has been nice, always smiled, Alterra seems to hire a higher quality of employee than I have had with past services.
Matt Sedlock serviced my house today. He was thorough and careful about my honey bees. I was glad to hear the policy on honey bees so that they are protected not just at my house but anywhere Alterra comes into contact with them. Weve been dealing with crazy ants in our yard for two years; and once we noticed ghost ants in our home recently, we decided we needed help. Our neighbor uses Alterra Pest Control, so we tried them. Casey B. has been our service pro, and she has been ready and available for everything weve needed. I had quite a few questions, and she was very knowledgeable and informative. We havent seen an ant inside or out since! Thank you!!
We are greatfull using Alterra for pest control. The first service that was done by Kenneth Baughamn did a great job on spraying the yard and house. Second service was not as effective as the first service, the gentlemen spray my house too quick. I would like to keep using Kenneth Baughman to perform my services.
I give Alterra 4 stars overall, but Victoria Brown 5+ stars!!! She came out and serviced our home on 4/11/15 and was very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable on the issues we were having with spiders. I am going to request her for all future service appointments!!
Riley M and Sean C took care of us. This is our first use of Alterra, so we dont know yet how effective the product will be. However, both Sean and Riley were very friendly, professional and helpful. They carefully explained what they were doing and offered advice when I asked for it. My initial assessment of this company based upon these two is very positive.

12/26/2014 - We switched to Alterra from a local company last year. Since that time, Casey has been making sure that we are bug and fire ant free - inside and out. In particular, we had a small rodent issue and Casey did a great job of explaining what was going on, why it was happening, and how we would fix it. My wife was elated (and so am I). Casey (and Alterra) is a consummate professional and always friendly and on time - very different from our previous providers.
Alterra serviceman Trevor Jones greeted me with a pleasant attitude when he arrived. He proceeded with the service in a prompt manner and efficient manner. After the completion of the service Trevor gave a full summery of the work completed including letting me know of some areas that I should watch between services.All in all a pleasant experience.
Alterra Pest Control has been good to us so far. I am a new customer. I saw some activity inside of the house after my first treatment and called for a follow up and it was scheduled without any hassle. Raymon Mata came out and was very professional and went through and swept the sides of the house for wasp nests and went alongside the fence in backyard to ensure no activity was starting along the fence side. James Powell serviced our home this afternoon. In this very cold weather, he removed all of the spider webs from the back of the house and sprayed. I mentioned the spider problem inside as well and generously sprayed there. On this miserable, dreary day, James took his time to do the job right. You are lucky to have such a cordial, devoted employee!

We dont have a problem with ant, spiders or anything else crawling around because our quarterly service has done such a good job. I like to see the truck pull up and treat the house and yard because I know that it will prevent any kind of infestation from happening. Sweeping the eves of the house is not much of a concern right now but in a few weeks wasp nests will begin to show up and having them taken down saves me from battling bugs that are armed and dangerous. Thanks to James Powell for keeping house and yard bug free.

I was pretty happy with the work of Evan Crowley yesterday. He took his time to explain to me and did a thorough spray indoors and outdoors. I had some bad experience dealing with roaches and mice before, trust me, it was not fun. Thats why we decided to ask a pro to do the prevention job for us when we moved to this house. I am glad we do not have to worry about the bugs and mice popping up in the house in future.

For Sabriyah C.I loved it my Service Pro was Mickiela Wiley and she was very polite and very nice. What made this visit one of the best she sprayed outside for my dog so that he wouldnt have any fleas or ticks which was really nice. She also came inside and sprayed all along the walls but all in all she was very nice and a sweetheart.
While the tech didnt arrive within the window (2-6 pm) specified when we set up the service, he was very pleasant, professional and explained all the services we would be receiving. So overall, Im highly pleased with the service. The tech showed me his roster had the appointment for 7:30, so this could be an area of improvement for the company to call ahead and let us know they are on their way or are running behind.
John Block was excellent. I felt like he cared about being thorough and was sure to ask if there was any other way he could help. I am so very pleased that Alterra came to help us! The pest control company which served our home for more than ten years were having a lot of trouble getting rid of ants in our house. Casey came out to perform Alterras quarterly site visit. Casey was extremely professional, courteous and went above and beyond to take care of my pest issues. I would definitely recommend this service to anyone....I think it is a no brainer....they will come out if you experience any problems between scheduled quarterly visits - but I am on my second year and their quarterly visits always keep the pests away....and I think the price is very affordable.

I normally do this myself, but we decided to try someone else since, our lives seem to just get busier and busier, and that way if we do see the bugs come back, my wife cant blaim me ;-). Plus we can just call up Travis and hell come out and take care of the problem.
Mickiela Wiley is such a pleasure when she comes out to do our treatments. She is VERY knowledgeable, and explains why we are seeing certain pests, and treats the home and yard accordingly. I am highly allergic to wasps, and thankfully she noticed 3 wasp nests on the side of our home today, & got rid of them! We have never used a pest control company before, but so far I am happy that we decided to use Alterra Pest Control! ~Angela C.
Alterra Service Pro Micah Wilson recently completed my quarterly service in an outstanding manner. My house faces a greenbelt which is subdivision-maintained but has more pests than normal. Joel Lockett, My dad, signed us up for it. Steven mata, our service pro was amazing! He did a full walk through of the house. Informed me of what he was going to do. Asked if there were any problem areas and was SO polite. All 5 stars deserved. He is a great asset to your company.
If it had not been for the Service Technician, Alterra would have gotten a 1 star. Our salesman, Mike, came to our door as a door-to-door salesman. We signed up as a new customer for a 1 year contract at $30 per quarterly treatment. The service technician came out on veterans day told me that since I served in the Marine Corps, than he would waive that service fee. He even called Mike to confirm it. The next day they charge my card $50 and I have contacted them multiple times, including Mike, and no one seems to care. The manager basically refuses to get back to me. So after 3 months of refusing to contact me back they perform the 2nd quarterly service and instead of billing me $30 like the contract states, they bill me $107. So needless to say I think they are a bunch of scam artists that do not care about customer satisfaction and I am half tempted.to report them to the Better Business Bureau.
I had M. Sedlock as my service Pro, he performed my second pest control on my house and he was very professional on his duties, he did a walk around first and then started applying their products, very carefully. I am happy so far with my Alterra services.Edmundo Guerra
Joey, Raymon, and Jermain came to my house this morning to help get rid of my WASP problem. They were friendly and helpful. I had a disappointing experience the day before with Alterra, but when I called Brett and spoke with him about my concerns, He called Joey and they took care of me the next day. Rico LAre Service Pro James Powell arrived on time under difficult weather conditions. He explained what he was going to do for us that day and he asked if there were anything else we needed for him to do. Mr. Powell took care of all request in timely manner. He was very courteous.
We had to have them come back to complete their quarterly service due to the fact we werent home when they came the first time. Steven Mata was very pleasant, professional, and thorough in completing the job. He even did an added job with some sort of extension to the eves that noone else had done. Would like for him to service us every visit.
I was so happy with Alterra service for past 1.5 years and now it is under Terminix. They are horrible. Not even 1% of what Alterra service. Technician literally used hand spray and sprayed on corners of the back front and garage door and while we were waiting he would complete the service...he just drove away..... 5 minutes of hand spray for $95... first they use to do inside and outside, back yard, frond yard , spider webs, snake repellents..... everything.... Terminix sucks!!!!
J Block and D Brown from Alterra Pest Control came out on Saturday and provided an extra treatment on the interior and exterior of my home. They were very professional and knowledgeable. There are two species of widow spider in my area (black and brown widows). They located a black widow on my back patio with two nests. They knocked down the webs/nests and sprayed the area to kill anything remaining. Great job!

Morris R. was very friendly. He came to the door and told me what he was going to do, and when he got done he also came to the door and told me what he had done. I moved here 8 months ago with alot of bugs in the yard, and I have very few today. I am happy with Alterra and I gave Morris R a bottle of water because it is 100 degrees today! Thanks Morris R!
We just had James Powell out to treat ants in the bathroom sink. He was courteous and explained that he could either use gel or baits, and suggested baits since theyre safer with kids around. He also explained that he put powder in the weep holes to help kill the ants that are coming in. Fast and friendly service!
We just signed up with Alterra and Joshua webb was our service pro on Monday. He was very knowlegable and professional. As he went through the house he was very helpful with explaining everything we needed to know. He took the time to kill the living spiders that he came across along the way. We recently moved to Houston from Los Angeles so alot of these bugs are new to us. If possible we would request Joshua Webb to be our Service pro from here on out. We feel as if he was very honest and helpful to us. I have a 2 year old son that manages to get bit by every bug possible and when we told Josh he took the time to make sure that there wasnt any bugs on my sons mattress and the rest of his room..Thank You! J. Powell came early but no one at home, so he took care of the front and went and then he came after 5pm and waited till I showed up and Im glad he did rather than re-scheduling and all that. He knows his stuff and willing to go extra mile to serve his client. Well done...
Matt Sedlock is our Service Pro. He just came by on a cold and rainy Friday to do our regular service. He was cheerful and thorough and even killed a spider while he was here. Im not sure I would have been so positive in this weather on the Friday before Christmas. We appreciate him and Alterra.
7-4-14 Jack Burgess came to treat my house and yard. I was very surprised they were working on a holiday. He was very polite and considerate of my needs and asked questions about what and where the pests were entering the home. He listened to my requests for care when treating the inside of the home as I have small children. It didnt take long to treat the outside of the house, pretty much in and out in less than 20min. There are lots of fire ants that have pretty much taken over the neighborhood, so I am skeptical as to ho effective the treatments will be.7-18-14 Raymon Mata came by after I called about droves of fire ants surrounding the house. He too was very polite and asked what direction the ants were coming from. He treated with spray and granuals and told me that he saw the trail coming from my neighbors yard. It didnt take very long,10-15 min. It seemed that the first treatment didnt phase the ants at all, so Im hoping that this time there will be a significant improvement.

Raymon Marta came by our property to do our first quarterly treatment and was impressed with his efficiency and polite demeanor. He took the time to answer all the questions that I had for him. Cant give 5 stars yet since this was only my first treatment. But overall, very satisfied.
The tech come out and spray the perimeter of the house, not the windows, not the doors, not the frames. His equipment was a light home depot sprayer. It literally covered as much ground as a cheaper water gun. While upset and in shock I asked the tech to spray the frames. Immediately, I knew I was not happy but I hoped for the best. That was until that week insects were swarming into the house because Alterra does not dust the weep holes around the house. And this is how I got spiders and earwigs swarming into my house. ALTERRA IS A POOR INEFFECTIVE TREATMENT INTENEDED TO DECEIVE THE RECIPIENT INTO BELIEVING THEY’RE GETTING AN EXTERMINATION. I had no results from the granules in yard or the spray, never received a return call from any Manager.
Awesome customer service!!! Jessica the salesperson explained everything about their services and was very friendly. Madelynn Gallagher was right on time. She explained to me all that she was going to do and she did it. She was very polite and friendly and asked if I had any questions. The questions I did ask she answered them thourougly. Got an email at 2:30PM Friday scheduling service for Monday AM. Every Quarter before service I have had to jump through hoops to get service scheduled after 4PM as we are not home during the day and can not leave our side and back yard gate unsecured. When we signed up for the service two years ago we were told this would not be a problem. When I called and attempted to reschedule I was told that scheduling was computer generated and there was nothing they could do about it. That being the case, I told the nice lady on the phone to cancel our service. She answered: Fine. I called again today, 27-Feb-2016 and left a voice mail to discontinue our service. I wish there was another way to communicate with them (email) that would provide some accountability. Regrettably, that is an option they do not offer.
I am really impressed with this company. I havent seen a bug in my home for a long time. Matt Sedlock was our service tech today and I was so glad to see how much he puts into his work. I love that he brushed down the spider webs all along the outside of the house. Great Job!
Signed up as our daughter recommended them. After the initial appointment, the first appt. no one showed up. I got the fee refunded and stayed with the service. 2nd service went fine no problem. Thought ok it was just a glitch on the 1st appt. Then the 3rd appt. no one showed again but they were happy to take my money from my account. We had slugs coming in the backdoor, not sure what else. It took a week to get ahold of Joey whose ultimate solution was to refund my money and close my account. Now I have wasted 9 months and have to look for another pest control service. Good luck staying in business, Alterra. I wont recommend your company to anyone.
Ive been hearing something scratchy lately - hard to tell if its just squirrels on the roof or if its coming from behind the walls -- EEEK! At my next scheduled Alterra visit, I asked our Service Pro - Chris Paras - if he could take a peek in the attic, not sure if pest control included creepy attic investigation... He came down after a few minutes to let me know he set out some traps and that I can call him in a 1-2 weeks to come back and check them to figure out what it is/what course of treatment may be needed. I really appreciated his calm, dont worry demeanor!
I have surveillance equipment that showed what a good job Trevor Jones did on the outside of my home. I was impressed as I could not make it to the door at the time he was here. Just good to know that the job is being done well even when you are not at home.Richard C
Technician Travis was very professional and seemed to be very conscientious and thorough. We saw an ant trail inside about a week after the initial treatment and it was difficult to contact Alterra to get them back out. Our phone calls went to voice mails that were unanswered.
Been contracted with alterra for 2yr now love them always do an awesome job and tech are always so helpful with info or methods! Casey did our quarterly Alterra service yesterday and was friendly,courteous and professional as well as promptly responding to my request to treat a large ant bed at the back of our yard and taking the time to let me know that another bed was found near the pump for our pond.
I rarely review anything but after the service Joey and Malik gave on Septermber 22, 2015, I am compelled to shout WOW! THESE GUYS ARE SUPER!!!!!. I have been an Alterra client for over a year. These two gentlemen (I use that word specifically) performed the best service we have ever received. Please send them to us each quarter - we want to adopt them!

He is unaware of the dangers of women home alone opening doors for strangers. We are advised not to do so so I did not & spoke with him through the window of my door.b. He was very put-off by this & was arrogant as evidenced by saying, Well, if its not worth your time to even open the door.c. I could not think of the name of my current pest control company & he asked if my husband handled it? What? This stereotype infuriates me as I HANDLE ALL OF OUR BUSINESS AFFAIRS IN MY HOUSEHOLD WHILE WORKING!! He needs to leave the big male ego at home!3. No solicitation is allowed in our community, it is clearly posted.4. He could have offered to leave a card or at least say the name of your company, he did neither. I read the name on his uniformed shirt, he is a horrible billboard for your company!5. I know where to look if I become dissatisfied with my present service, except you do not list your number & due to his horrible representation, I will not be calling your company!! All of us work in customer service & if his rudeness is any reflection of the type of your service that is offered, no thanks!
I have just started with Altera and the people have been very nice and professional. M. Gallagher came today (on time) and sprayed the inside and outside of my house. There is no odor and everything is pet friendly. It definitley beats anything I have used in the past.
This was my first time having this treatment done to my home, and I had lots of questions. The Service Pro Evan Crowley was dressed professional, courteous and available to answer all my questions and explain all my concerns clearly, to the point I knew I had made the right choice to choose Alterra.
So today we had a wonderful experience with our Service Pro! He went above and beyond the call today! He took his time and even did a few things that previous pros did not do. I was very impressed with this one and will be requesting him more often! Thank you Miracle Broussard!!! YOU DID AN EXCELLENT JOB!!

2012-07-21My first experience with Alterra Pest Control was a very pleasant one. I wasnt home to meet Evan the first time he came out but on his second trip to service the inside he was very professional and kind. The service all around was wonderful. I also had an equally wonderful experience on my next visit. Joey Gary, was also very professional and my 2 yr old seemed to think he was great. My overall experience has been wonderful with both service techs. Thank you for service well done.

2015-07-10We just had a visit from Alterra doing a promotional free service, and we signed up to be customers under a new 1 year contract. Oscar Brown was our Service Pro today and he was amazing. Very helpful, informative and did a thorough job in spraying the house. We also have a dog that he was very nice to, and also did a good job informing us of what was pet friendly, and how long we needed to wait before letting the dog back into the yard. I would highly recommend Oscar! Thanks for the great visit today.

2015-05-23We had our first treatment with Alterra today. Our Service Pro, Oscar Brown, was fantastic! He cleared all of the hard to reach wasp and hornet nests out and thoroughly covered our yard and home. He even told us where we can make changes to help keep spiders from entering from other properties near ours. Very impressed with his work and professionalism.

Great service, he had a very positive attitude, was even joking around with us in between his treatments. Great with our dog as well. 2014-12-10Today, my Alterra representative visited my house to deal with an issue of something eating our hybiscuses. James Powell was so thorough, communicative and respectful. He went above and beyond to make sure that the service was correct and gave me several places to watch in my yard going forward. 2014-11-04I have used Alterra for a few years now and had exceptional service from John Block today. He had to come finish my backyard since I forgot to put my dogs inside a few days ago. He was very friendly and helpful. I also have an issue with a mouse that he offered to help us with. He offered to set the trap then I could call him and he could come remove it so I wouldnt have to deal with it at all. I would highly recommend him to my friends and family.

2015-09-10Just had our quarterly treatment by Alterra Pest Control on 09-09-2015. Our service technician was Trevor Jones who was very polite and efficient. Provided great service both outside and inside the house (including the garage) and was very professional and courteous. I would definitely recommend this company if you ever need a good pest control service provider.
