I was a little bit saddened.Paid for First Aid/CPR for Adult and Pediatric but only received the training minus the Pediatric. I suppose it was not in our instructor’s system for me to have Pediatric included.Contacted customer service. They refunded the class but re-signed me up for another class session to pay the same price. The session lasts from 9 am to 2 pm, but not including the Pediatric portion would remove one hour. I have to retake the entire class with Pediatric on another day from 9 am to 2 pm regardless of me already taking the first 4 hours of the class.Taking the first 4-hour portion of the class again is what bothers me because it felt like a waste of time with no actual sort of compensation.

They are great on misery. The portion was made in dirty, poorly made building at 16501 Bratton Lane AUSTIN TX 78728. Disorganized, we have been so many people in a such small place , divide on couple of groups. They advertised that you can earn CEUs credit hours, but they refuse to recognize my hours, Contacted ¨1000¨ times help support and they are not able to send me a receipt with the Continued Education Credit hours I earned. Shame on American Red Cross. The quality of training was not good enough. I have my first training in California ( San Diego ) and it was amazing. Disappointed. Never,Never Again will make the mistake to purchase such expensive CPR training course , with so low quality where they make you believe you earned Continued Education Credit hours ,but it is a lie . Shame on Red Cross. Dont waist time to get trained with them.

Ive donated blood to RC since 2006, and I have decided I am no long going to donate blood because of how this organization doesnt have any consideration for other peoples time. They will send you multiple text, email, call on how they are desperate for blood but when you show you up, youll have to wait long period of time or 2 hours before told the location changed, and report to new location bc its little more drive and location changing last min, I was 20min late, bc of that I was going to have to a walk in and might not be able to donate. Why waste your time, when they dont value your time.Especially when youre doing it for free.Hard pass

I signed up for a classroom CPR/AED/First Aid class (6 hour time commitment). I wanted the full classroom experience (as opposed to a hybrid online and classroom experience) since this was my first CPR class. This required me to rearrange a day’s worth of work calls and reconfigure several other things within the household, which is not necessarily an easy task. The class was scheduled to start on a Thursday at 9am. I received an email at approximately 3pm the day before stating my class was cancelled and I was automatically being enrolled in another class on a different day. This was no where enough time (less than 24 hours) for me to change BACK everything I had moved to make myself available for this class. So not only was that entire day wasted, I had to waste my time calling and speaking to someone about getting into a class that COULD work for my schedule. There were no options that fit my schedule optimally at that point so I had to settle for a hybrid class. The gentleman that helped said he couldn’t just switch me from one class to another so he had to refund me the original class and charge me again. I was also informed that since most of the instructors only teach CPR part time, it is “normal” that classes can be cancelled.Several days later the refund had not posted so I had to waste MORE time calling back to get my refund for the original class.I’m very disappointed with Austin’s American Red Cross. Please don’t offer a service if it cannot be relied on.Each person I spoke to was very friendly and patient which is why they are getting 2 stars versus 1 star.

Went to help a friend last night whose apartment was damaged. Red Cross shows up and dings my truck with his truck door. Its nice of them to volunteer but learn to park and be respectful of other peoples property instead of making more work for people.

I made an appointment online to donate blood. I drove a whole hour to get there, only to find out that theyre closed to the public right now. The hours and scheduling website need to be updated so people arent showing up to an empty building. Huge waste of time!

Nothing about the infrastructure. But I had a not good experience when donating blood at this location (2218 Pershing Dr. , Austin, TX 78723).
