The trail off the building is easy and mostly shaded. That boardwalk is majestic. I never expected such a beautiful view, I felt like I was in a Louisiana swamp. Enjoyed seeing ALL the wildlife. Birds, fish, and the coolest tadpoles ever! 😁

Beautiful walkway to the water. I wouldve given 5 stars but the spider webs all through the park were absolutely horrifying! We had to use a stick to make sure we didnt walk through all the webs! Other than that beautiful area!

Very interesting small little place. The trails are short and very easy. There are boardwalks and a small bird blind. Although I heard a few birds, they werent anything special and I didnt see any birds in the bird blind (although it mightve been because it was raining nearby). There are areas of dead water where the water washes inland be gets stuck there after the tire recedes but the view of the lake is quiet nice. Not worth spending more than a hour here but is an amazing quick visit!

The ANWR Visitor Center provides maps amid other information to help guide you. If youre lucky enough, youll get to speak with friendly, knowledgeable staff who can answer many questions. However, please be aware that the visitor center is about 10 miles away from the actual refuge. Nevertheless, its certainly worth driving the few extra miles.

Super cool place to drive around and look at wildlife. Take your time and see everything from Water Fowl to Alligators.

Great visitor center, the ladies working there was great and helped us with information on how to visit the park. Got a small aquarium, movie room, and a gift shop inside with quality items. Easy walk in the back, with a lot of spiders

Really neat put stop, but beware of some insane spiders that are all over the path. Cute boardwalk with lots of tree cover leading out to a gorgeous view of the lake. Lots of info available outside, but there was only a port-o-potty available when we stopped so prepare for that or stop somewhere else.

It was closed due to the obvious from what I could gather. I was able to hike the trails which was nice and it was surprising to find a swamp area in the back. 🌱🌞Great bathroom there too, very nice and clean. ✨
