Always friendly and helpful. We have adopted 2 dogs from them. Our oldest is a great boy and we just adopted a puppy from them and she is already made herself home. We dont mind the prices because we know the money goes to helping more babies and with the medical side as well. Always a great experience with Animal Hope and love what they do.
We went out last weekend to participate in Clear the Shelters day. After a long day of stopping in at the various ascpas near us, we were starting to lose hope that we would find a dog who fit in with our family. Our final stop of the day was at this small shelter nearby to a PetSmart we had been at. We were discouraged and depressed after seeing so many lovely dogs who we knew we couldnt adopt. When we arrived they immediately made sure we knew they werent a part of clear the shelters day and why the adoption fee was necessary. We werent concerned with fees though. We just were looking for a new family member. The staff were friendly and attentive, guiding us to dogs that fit with us. She patiently told us about each one and let us visit with several. From the moment we saw our new dog looking through the bars at us, we knew she was the one but we wanted to meet multiple others just to be certain. They helped us made an educated and wise choice about our new family member and we couldnt be happier with the dog we brought home from them. We were pleased with the smooth adoption process and the level of education they provided about her history and medical needs. Weve also been very happy with the follow up medical care they provided via the vet clinic next door to them. Thank you animal hope for setting us up with success!A few other notes, the facility is clean and all of the animals are well cared for. It feels like a home almost. Several of the staffs own pets were on site just hanging out. I love their philosophy about finding the right fit even if it takes time and theyre not here to judge people. Theres a right owner for every pet!We will be offering our support to this shelter every chance we get and were looking forward to many happy years ahead with our new pup.Our pup went from bilateral cherry eye surgery to pampered couch potato in the attached pics. ❤️
Adopted two of my babies from this place and Ive never been happier! If you adopt a puppy it costs more but part of the cost is that all of the babys vet visits up until they are around six months, including their spay/neuter. One of my pups had a genetic type of mange that means shell be on bravecto forever but I also found out about it when she was a baby with little bald patches. Such a lifesaver and I donate money or dog food any chance I get. Also, these are the two babies I adopted
The newest incarnation of this animal shelter/rescue is by far the best! I have been adopting animals from this location for the last 10+ plus years and while it wasnt always known and run by the great folks of Animal Hope I wish it had been. When it became Animal Hope I noticed a great improvement in cleanliness, animal welfare, and a genuine love and dedication to saving the lives of animals. You can clearly see that each and every staff member has a heart the size of Texas and they put all their heart and soul into their work.I adopted my puppy there, and I will ALWAYS steer people there to adopt.
When my dog was very sick my son was keeping Hachi for me. They gave him some meds I came and stayed with my son so someone could be here at all times with the dog. He was getting really bad and found out that he had cancer. We wound up putting him to sleep. So both my son and I could spend some time with him the animal hospital off Bryant Irvin and they asked if we wanted to be there when they put him to sleep and explained to us what all of the needles were sticking out of his legs. They are very considerate and did what the family wished. The staff was awesome!!
Me and my girlfriend adopted our dog Bam (formally Ban) from Animal Hope in Fort Worth. The adoption process was simple and easy and there were no unnecessary hurdles to jump through. They seem to truly care about connecting animals and people, and ensure that the adoption process reflects that sentiment. We would 100% recommend!
On the day that I went the staff there was not very friendly at all, actually she was kind of BITC#Y to me. I got the impression that she was pretty busy, had her hands full but staff should not take that out on potential clients. In addition, she told me about some of their prices on depending on the dog that I was looking for and theyre very high. I wont be returning to that facility.
They act on a high horse while standing in the trenches.1. Place is dirty.2. They will change your appointment time and not tell you.3. They dont potty train their animals, and they didnt tell me the dog wasnt potty trained.4. When I returned the dog, I was emotional and distraught, and the man said that the only way to potty train a dog is by a crate, which is not true.5. I was upset, and the man acted passive aggressive with his attitude and tone of voice when he said to have a good day.6. I have spoken to other shelters, and they told me they have had people complain to them about this same business.7. I hope more people speak their minds about the businesses lack of professionalism and basic animal handling.
ITS A SCAM!!!I filled out an application to rescue a pup and let them know that I own my home with a huge yard and fence, I work short hours only 4 days a week and Im looking for a best friend for my 6 year old son to grow up with and I was not approved... I also had to waste $15 for them to tell me Im not approved. Its a scam, dont waste your money!!
Had a very horrible experience first of all is hidden well in the back of some Office Buildings off of Hulen okay no problem with that I smell a strong stench not just regular pic smell but a stronger stance as I walk towards the door. A little boy probably no older than six comes to the door the doors locked on both sides of what it appears to be some sort of entrance it was still business hours pets and dogs was running all throughout it would not let me in she answered the door with the door have cracked with pets running around everywhere. Just an overall horrible experience the lady finally came to the door very rude trust me if you need a dog or a cat or any other pet you can go to Lancaster or the one in Benbrook there they are amazing!
Animal Hope is a great place filled with caring, hardworking people who make an incredibly positive impact in the community. We have had a Hoper dog for 4 years and just brought home our second. We have experienced first hand the compassion and care the staff treats their animals and adopters with. All of our friends and family have gone to Animal Hope to adopt their companion animals. The facility is well maintained and they work hard to make the shelter experience as least stressful as possible for their resident animals. Their adoption fees pale in comparison to the veterinary care they provide for each and every animal. I will recommend this place to everyone!
I found a stray, and called Animal Hope. I didnt want to call any of the Shelters! I felt he could be helped better through their Agency. I spoke to a lady, who was very nice and accommodating! She assured me that they would get him medical care ( shots ) and grooming. He heavily was matted ! They found a chip in him! Great! They told me they would try to call his owner. I asked if I could call to check on his progress. They said call back in 4 days. I took him on a Friday afternoon. I called back that next Thursday. During that weekend after I found him, a lady expressed a HUGE interest in adopting him! ** I had put him on our Next Door App looking for his previous owners! When I called Animal Hope that Thursday, I was told a very DIFFERENT story! We immediately take all strays to Animal Control in Fort Worth! They dont even prepare an Adoption Process from their location! Well, I could have saved them the trip, and taken him myself, right!? So I go to AC to try to find him for the lady that wanted to Adopt him! He wasnt there! I was told a Rescue group came and collected 65 dogs!? He may have been in that group! Really, I am not sure where he went at all! He was a Shitz Zu ( misspelled ?) Great manners! Very friendly! I feel that someone have gotten him, and hopefully have given him a great home! But for the short time lapse from me giving him to them, it should have been VERY easy for them to give me a report on where he went, even the day! Animal Hope doesnt get that many dogs, that would make them forget about him! This incident makes me somewhat leery of places like this! ** Good thing is, their place is very clean, animals are in good shape and happy! But I was mislead on my interaction with them!
We adopted our forever fur puppy from here today. These people were beyond amazing! We went to about 10 other shelters and they blew all those shelters out of the water. They truly care for all the animals and treat them as family. They made sure we understand the whole adoption process and what kind of personality our puppy had. This is the go to if you’re looking for your new companion. Our puppy gets along so well with our daughter and the rest of the family. So happy!
I found a litter or abandoned kittens at my apt complex and tried for over a month to surrender them. I kept getting the run around and told to call back in a week when they had more availability. On the 6th week I just posted them to Facebook and adopted them out the same day because I had no help and no resources; I work long days and many at a time it wasn’t fair for me or the kittens. Makes me second guess helping abandoned animals. Next time I’ll just call animal control or the non emergency number.
I couldn’t speak more highly of this rescue organization. We found our adorable Chiweenie there. Bailey and Chelsey were on top of things; they have excellent organization skills and were extremely professional. The night we met our little guy he hadn’t had everything done to be taken home. I told Chelsey I would be back the next day at a certain time, and they had him bathe and all paperwork ready for me. It only took 15 minutes and I was on my way to back to work. And to all the people complaining, please factor in the costs of shots, spay or neutering, micro chipping and food/care.
I cannot express enough how wonderful this rescue is. These guys take in animals in bad shape and need medical care. They nurse them back to health and begin the process of training as well. My husband and I came in last weekend after spending the day visiting various shelters and animal control. We werent exactly planning on adopting a dog that day. We were more or less looking at what was available in the area. Animal Hope was our last stop. We were hesitant because it was close to closing time. I am SO glad we went. The staff is fabulous. The girl that showed us around knew so many details about every dog! She was also completely honest about some personality flaws of some dogs. The owner is such a nice person and knows his stuff. This rescue is his passion and it shows. We immediately fell in love with a little pocket bully. She was abused but I swear you would never know it. We took her home and she immediately fit right in. Shes the best dog Ive ever had. She listens, is well behaved and so sweet. She is a brand new part of our family we have always wanted. Anyway, if you are looking into adoption, go here. You will not be disappointed.
We originally went to Animal Hope to adopt a different dog than the one we ended up adopting, but Benjamin Morris advised us to check out some other dogs that he thought might be a better fit for what we were looking for as a family. We did just that, and we ended up with the perfect dog for our family! This dog would not have been our first choice, and honestly, I would not have even considered this dog, but we all LOVE her so much. She is perfect for us! Benjamin really considers your family, what you are looking for in a dog, which dog would be a good fit, and offers good suggestions to make a good match. He does not want an unhappy family and wants the dog and family to be a good match. We would definitely go here first if we were to adopt another animal in the future.
Awesome shelter. I adopted a puppy over a week ago and unfortunately had a allergic reaction to the puppy. The people who work here are great and make the adoption process very smooth and comfortable. I am definitely going to continue to look at their website daily at new puppies posted! I will for sure adopt my fur baby from here with no hesitation. The fee for a puppy is very reasonable and they care so deeply about their animals here!
Speaking out as an employee of a pet store where we adopt out cats that come from animal hope. Owner Ben does not truly care about the animals well-being. I used to work at petsupermarket in colleyville up until recently when I quit due to the animal neglect I witnessed in my store and also from animal hope. We have cats in our store from animal hope that we adopt out and 10 out of 10 there is always something wrong with them or they are sick because of the lack of care animal hope shows. The only thing that animal hope does when they get a cat or any animal is take them to a very cheap very shady location to be neutered or spayed and then drop them off at some store to be adopted. we have one cat at our store in particular that has had diarrhea and worms and been vomiting for the past 5 days. I brought it to the attention of the animal hopes staff and they did not care I brought it to the attention of my managers at my own store and they did not care. it got to the point where I took it upon myself to call a 24-hour animal shelter and I almost took the cat there taking on the full responsibility of the vet bills right then and there because I did not want to see this cat die due to the lack of care animal Hope and my management staff showed. when owner Ben finally showed up he was extremely rude he insinuated that nothing was wrong with the cat and that he didnt think his presence was needed but took the cat anyways and threw him in the back of his van and took off. it is extremely concerning and inappropriate to see the owner of an animal shelter show up to pick up a cat as if picking up a cat in peril was such an inconvenience to him. This is not the first second or even third time that animal hope has displayed animal neglect towards the cats in our store. if anything I would recommend you to adopt every single animal in animal hope and save them from a staff and owner who does not care about them.
My best friend came from Animal Hope! We adopted our Cowboy in October and he was an instant match for my family. We lost our last dog to cancer 6 months before and my husband wasn’t sure he was ready for a new dog yet, but as soon as we got him home we knew we made the right choice!I’ve seen some people who complain about the adoption prices. Please consider, when you adopt from a regular shelter, that dog has had MINIMAL veterinary care. They give vaccines and treat what they can, but they don’t treat much. The pets that need extra medical attention are too much work and money for a city shelter to handle. That’s ONE way Animal Hope is saving pets. They bring those sick or injured pets back to Hope and get them well again; sometimes this costs THOUSANDS of dollars!! They have provided the absolute best veterinary care to these pets before they were available for adoption, so no, the adoption fee is not going to be $25.If you cannot afford to pay $250 for your pet, I get it. But I would ask, have you considered what your annual pet care costs are going to be in comparison to that $250? They need vaccines every year, food every day. What if your pet has an emergency health issue? Walking in the door at an ER vet is at least $120. What if if develops a long term health problem that requires daily medication? Does it need professional dog training? A dog walker if you work a lot? Before people get publicly upset about the cost of getting a pet from a highly reputable shelter that does everything they can to save animal lives, I just ask them to remember that in this case: what you see, is not all that you get.
Very rude woman - treated me like garbage just for asking “how can I adopt a pet from here?”.Clearly inept and incompetent on every answer she gave me. Was demeaning and not very intelligent. The place was dirty and they have unfriendly people.Would not recommend this place…
My fiancé and I saw a dog there this past Saturday. We were unable to come on Sunday to get him, but were planning to come Monday afternoon. (as we work normal day jobs). After numerous calls Sunday and Monday asking is he was still available, and that in some way he could be held they let someone else adopt him. We were a serious and loving couple that was going to provide him with a great home. We did everything in our power to adopt him, but negligence on their side wouldnt allow us to adopt him before being able to pick him up. Although I see this place as a safe haven and very admirable on what they do, they really need to work on their adoption policies. I do not want to discount that it is still a good thing that dog was adopted. However, due to the policies it prevented a different loving home from adopting him. I would not go to this adoption center unless you are willing to make a decision on the spot.Everyone, I advise you to please read the 1 and 2 star reviews before thinking about adopting from here.
I wouldnt recommend this place. We went in hopes to adopt like we have our other furbaby. We did see one we enjoyed and spent time with but decided to wait. When leaving we were talking and I couldnt stop talking about him. Although all his bones were showing and he was thin I just couldnt stop thinking about him, so I called to ask the process (we only adopt our furbabies) every place is different. He let me know the step then the fee of $350. I do understand he say they do more but this little cutie was thin and a mix breed so I had to leave him. Out of my budget...please $350 is nothing we spend that on meals...your dogs are not taken care of enough to ask for so much plus your just wanting a profit instead of helping the babies get a forever home.
They’re extremely helpful and the absolute sweetest people! They help you decide what kind of animal you want and get it to you! I️ got my dog from here and he’s the best thing that has ever happened to me! Plus you get them fully vaccinated and 30 months of free insurance on your baby! Amazing place
We are so happy with our dog that we adopted here!! The staff member who helped us stayed late on a Sunday so we could adopt her since she knew we were coming from a distance. They are sweet people who care about animals. My only concern was that the place smelled of urine and that the stalls were small and had multiple dogs in them. But the next morning may have been cleaning day and nonprofits dont always have the resources they need in order to have gleaming facilities. Im just grateful that they saved my dog so I could find her, and other deserving animals also!! Shes the best thing that ever happened to me. So many animals just need a second chance, and that is what my dog got thanks to Animal Hope!
This place is amazing. We came in to find a new dog. The staff member Kim was so friendly and helpful. It was neat, and clean. They had beautiful animals. My husband and I will be back to adopt in the future. So glad there are places like this. Keep up the good work Animal Hope!
My wife and I had such a great experience with Animal Hope! We just moved into our new home, and we were really wanting a 2nd dog. So, we went to Animal Hope in hopes to find one. The staff at Animal hope was so great in the process of us finding our dog. Unfortunately, things didn’t work, and we had to return her. Somebody PLEASE give Little Lady (German Shepherd) a good home. She’s such a sweet girl and I wanted to keep her so badly, but she does not do well with men. Animal Hope was very understanding when we took her back. When we feel like we are ready, we will be going back to get a dog from Animal Hope. Leaving her was so tough. She’s in great hands though while she waits for a home meant for her.
I saw a post that my neighbor had found a dog and brought her in. I had called Animal Hope earlier to see if they still had her (twice) and they told me that they didn’t have any dogs that fit the description (twice). So later that day I went in to inquire about her to be sure and they told me yes she IS here but she isn’t up for adoption because she is sick and won’t be up for adoption until she is well. I do understand this but I left disappointed because they didn’t want to take down my information so I could come back when she is well. The location is very nice but it was very awkward inside. I felt very awkward when I left. I really wanted to adopt her and give her a good home. The review is because I had called more than once and it’s as if they didn’t even bother checking to see if she was actually there or not and they weren’t even aware of her presence even though I explained she had just been dropped off a day ago.
I went to surrender my puppies because i financially couldnt take care of them. Benjamin helped me a lot with the process since it was hard for me to do so but answered all my questions and was very sweet to my fur babies. They are really caring people, and love the animals there as if it were their own.
Maybe our poor experience was due to it being the weekend? I went in with my daughter who has suffered trauma in her past and it was recommended we get a dog who may have been through something as well so she can relate and they could help each other. This was the 5th shelter we have visited. Where she saw a little white dog who was calmly and shyly sitting there looking so we asked to spend some time with him in a room. He didnt want to come out of his kennel willingly, we went to the room and in an instant went to my daughter and jumped on her lap and sat there. I was in awe. We spent more time with him and when we came out we were free to walk about the shelter because there was no one in sight. We went back to the kennel and placed him in where he came and pawed at my daughter. Upon making our way back to the front both kids were there and said the adoption fee was 250.00 but they didnt know anything about the dog. Not its age, if its house trained, his teeth covered in plaque, and a shaved portion of fur like it recently had an IV. We had to leave and my daughter was in tears but 250.00?! I emailed the shelter and explained to them how important this was to my daughter and they responded the dog isnt available for adoption... How when a few hours prior I couldve adopted him? The kids they had there didnt know... but they have 50 other dogs that we can come choose from that are cheaper was their reply. This may be a hit and miss place and unfortunately it had to be this place, this dog out of the 20+ we have interacted with to find the right match for my daughter and then a brick wall and the only one hurt from this is my child.
Very friendly staff. Always have a large variety of dogs for adoption. Only downside is the location is at the back of the building and just gives a very cramped feeling when you visit. Also, because they have so many animals in a relatively small spot, when they bark it is extremely noisy. However, either myself or my friends and family have adopted three or four animals from this location, and we have been happy with every adoption
I would give this place zero stars if I could. We wasted three days visiting twice and calling about 8 times to try to adopt a dog. After the third day, when we were at the shelter, they refused to allow us to even SEE a dog, let alone adopt one, simply because we didnt live right by the shelter. They claimed that they have a policy to only adopt nearby, but that policy is not written down anywhere and it doesnt even make any sense. If this policy really existed, they should have told us the first time we contacted them, when we told them we lived in Dallas so we wouldnt have wasted a lot of time. They deliberately wasted our time, and outright insulted us claiming that we would not care for the dog because we didnt live near their shelter. The manager was extremely rude and insulting to my wife.I will be going elsewhere, and I will recommend that everyone go somewhere else, where they actually care about the dogs and giving them good homes, even if that home is not right next door.
Animal Hope is an amazing organization that does a lot for the community. I have a lot of experience within the shelter system, so I wanted to write this review with my honest opinion of their facility.I have seen several complaints regarding the adoption prices of the animals, but there’s is so much medical work/treatment put into each animal, much more than any other shelter can provide. For $250 I adopted an adult dog that had all of his shots, his neuter, microchip, parasite testing & treatment for what what positive, complete bloodwork, and had been kept on flea, tick, and heart worm preventative. I also received a complementary vet visit where they would treat any shelter borne illness he may have picked up while he was there. This post adoption service alone can save hundreds of dollars. To put things in perspective, I had the same services done on my other dogs that I did not adopt from here and it cost me around $700.. EACHI have seen first hand the amazing work they do. Without Animal Hope, many animals would die in the city shelter system due to lack of adoption interest or succumb to trauma/illnesses that other shelters unfortunately can not afford to treat. As for the complaints regarding the smell or cleanliness of the facility, I have always found it to be clean and designed/organized to minimize the spread of shelter borne illnesses. Compared to other shelters housing 800+ animals, the dogs & cats here are allowed multiple outside trips a day, personal attention, and seem to be minimally stressed. When visiting, I inquired on their daily cleaning habits and was happy to find that their sanitation routine strictly followed ASPCA kennel guidelines. The other complaints about this organization seem to be from people who simply didn’t get what they wanted. Some dogs are in very high demand and when there are hundreds of people calling about one, typically purebred, dog (while refusing to give any of the other dogs a chance) I guess someone is always going to feel like they have been treated unfairly. Dogs also can’t be reserved while someone decides to commit, they’re a living animal, not a clothing item you can just put on hold and expect it to sit around waiting on you. I wonder how many dogs “on reserve” missed out on wonderful families when that potential adopted decided not to commit. That’s likely why that policy exists. I also learned that dogs aren’t adopted out of the metroplex because Animal Hope pledges a life-long responsibility to every animal. If the adoption does not work out, for any reason or at any time, Animal Hope takes that animal back. If their animals were adopted from all over the place, you could imagine how difficult it would be for them to get them back to ensure they are safe. This review is lengthy because I wanted anyone who reads it to gain a better understanding of the services Animal Hope provides and the important impact they make on the local community. Compared to other shelters around, this place is like Disneyland for these dogs and cats. The homeless animal population is a huge problem, and there are many great, compassionate people within this organization working tirelessly to make a difference. I urge anyone reading this comment to consider Animal Hope when searching for a new member to add to your family or when wanting an organization to donate money or volunteer time to. Involving myself with this organization was the best decision I ever made. My experience with them was so positive that now many members of my family and several friends have adopted from here. I will continue to support their mission and make sure every animal I bring into my home is an Animal Hoper.
Absolutely fantastic no-kill rescue center. The center is small and the staff knows every dog. Theyll walk you through the kennels and try to match you with a dog that suits your lifestyle, personality, and preferences. Its obvious that Benjamin, who runs the center, cares a great deal for the animals here and loves to see a dog going to happy home. The dogs here have already had any medical conditions treated and have been spayed or neutered at the vet clinic next door. Theyre also microchipped. When you adopt a dog from here youre asked to return for a free vet check up and if any health issues occur within 30 days Animal Hope will cover the vet cost. Benjamim is knowledgeable and will help address any questions or concerns you may have! He took a substantial amount of time to speak to me about caring for my new dog when I asked and answered all of my questions thoroughly and honestly. Animal Hope also offers dog training courses on the weekend. In the event that you become unable to care for an animal adopted from Animal Hope they ask that you return them to the rescue center, because they are a no-kill shelter and will make sure your dog can continue to have a high quality of life.
It is unfortunate that a few people have had bad experiences at Animal Hope and rated it so low. We adopted our current dog from Animal Hope in May of 2015 and the experience was wonderful. While our dog was still a little thin, I saw the pictures from when he was first taken in by animal control and Animal Hope had already had him well on the way back to health. For those who had a bad experience, I hope you will give them another chance when you are looking to adopt again.
Very beautiful dogs!!!! But if its called HOPE.. Why the heck are they so expensive? 😲 We are the ones taking care of them once we get them right? Well, I would 💘 to have one but I cant AFFORD the $$$. I HOPE someone adopt them... 💋 💋 puppies.. Puppy You would have been very loved in our home with our family.😭
This place was absolutely horrible. There is this one lady that open the door at 12 o’clock on 4/19/19 and she was extremely rude. Me and my sister asked if we could volunteer there because our mom worked next-door. She said it was $50 per person so we walked back to our moms office. A couple hours passed so we walked back over to see their animals and we asked and she said I guess but I will have to walk you back there and so my sister and I walked back there and the whole time she had this mad face like she didn’t want to work and I haven’t even mentioned the bad part. There was a three legged dog and she was dragging it around like he was nothing and it was absolutely frightening.
I would give this place zero stars, as soon as my bf and I walked into the facility a woman came up to us and was like “what do you want, how old are we?” In a very condescending way. She was extremely rude and wouldn’t answer any of our questions. We said 20 and she said “ sorry you have to be 21 to adopt here.” Which is fine, I understand that she doesn’t make the rules. So then I said “ ah okay, I’ll bring my brother up here since he is our roommate “ she then told me that she would decline my service and to come back when I’m an adult. I’m sorry, but I own a house, I have a kid, I can join the military, I can buy cigarettes, I can purchase a fire arm, I can go to a strip club and a casino! so how about if you want to help animals don’t put an age limit on adults adopting them, and especially don’t be condescending and rude!!!! To treat a 20 year old like a toddler. Cmon lady
Take your pet to the SPCA! They are more worthy of your donation. This place harasses you if you share any kind of bad experiences and they will contact the person who recommended you as well. SPCA is worth the $500 donate we made to them! They are the most respectful organization I have ever worked with. This lady is a troll who can’t separate from emotions from her work. Take your business elsewhere unless you like being harassed.
Your response was I dont care about my dog? I took my baby to Texas Coalition for Animals! It didnt cost me $253.00 ! They are the best! You need to spend less time on the internet and taking care of business! It does not cost $250.00 to adopt a dog or cat! Go to a shelter.... theres a 4 legged fur baby for you!Oh, fyi... Texas Coalition can help you with finding that fur baby plus information on a good veterinarian! You, need education on how to conduct business!
Look, Im all for no kill shelters but like at what cost? This place smells of urine, the room where the dogs are kept is hot because of the dryers they run so all the dogs are panting and hot, and the backyard area where some of the dogs are smells of dead animals. And the customer service was practically non existent.
This place loves their animals... They are so nice at the front and very helpful and patient..People need to remember that just because you dont get your way you dont have to bash people or what they do... I have unfortunately not gotten my way and the lady on the phone could have toned it down a notch, but I have kept in mind they have people they answer to as well... No matter how broken hearted you are, no matter what you have going on in your life everyone has rules to follow... And in my case thats just it, but despite being totally broken in pieces over my experience I wouldnt trust my little bit to anyone else.... Yes its $250 rehoming fee .... Annnnnd? Anyone who is looking for an addition to their family should be willing to pay what it takes.... Dont like it? Take your business elsewhere... This place provides what is needed for these animals and takes care of them .... Thank you guys for all you do for the animals in your care ...... I hope you guys help my little Pennie find a loving home who will spoil he rotten like we did....💕
I’ve been volunteering with Animal Hope for over 2 years now, and it’s sad to see that children are giving poor and false information in their reviews as an attempt to hurt an organization who strives every day to do good for animals who would otherwise have no second chance at life. Animal Hope has a policy that limits volunteering to children under the age of 16 without a parent present- they are working with live animals and there are inherent liabilities and risks. Animal hope staff cannot be responsible for the safety of other people’s chidren, nor should they be asked to be. I hope that the public will rally behind this amazing organization and continue to support their incredible mission of saving lives. The animals fortunate enough to be carried through those doors have the benefit of someone and an organization who will care for them for the rest of their lives.
These people clearly dont want to adopt out animals. Im not talking about fees or paperwork or background checks, I expect that. What I also expect is for someone to acknowledge you when you are there during normal hours on a Saturday looking adopt and get information on volunteering. We waited for ten minutes before someone came out and looked at me. I said hi, she didnt respond, and went back in the back. How hard is it to acknowledge? Im trying to save a life, just say hi, be right with you or ANYTHING and Id wait all day! Dont just ignore me!When that location used to be HSNT they would NEVER do that.I DID adopt - two adult dogs. But not from there. I went to Grand Prairie Paws (taking my dog to the dog park at the same time). All it costs is to say why yes there is a potential adopter standing directly in front of me, let me utter a standard human greeting and let them know I realize I am not hallucinating. Not hard!
This is a very special place and the staff is full of luv the animals that are here seem to know that. They where all so mellow and happy. Im sure if you just want to visit or donate food or a blanky or anything all the staff and waiting to be adopted pets will be so HAPPY 🤗
Great place to get a loving family member! Ben is great at taking these loving babies in and finding them a loving home. Always quick to respond to calls and messages. Their Facebook is always being updated with new animals or events! Great place I would recommend them a 100x over.
Good place to volunteer. I can get my hours for school, and learn alot about the animals. Its nice they have someone my age working there. I learned alot from Marissa. If I ever wanted to get another pet Id adopt there first. I like this place. Its worth volunteering there they help alot of animals and families.
Outstanding organization that (1) rescues animals with medical issues, behavioral problems, or disadvantages such as age, breed, or color, (2) rehabilitates them through surgery, medical treatment or behavioral therapy, and (3) re-homes them through adoption into loving homes. The partnership by Animal Hope with Animal Hospital Southwest allows so many dogs, puppies, cats and kittens in Fort Worth to be rescued and get the veterinary help they need. The hundreds of animals that Animal Hope has re-homed have brought joy to so many families throughout DFW. I adopted two of my cats from Animal Hope. It is truly a special place.
Worst experience I’ve ever encountered! Employees are absolutely so rude!! Stay away from this place! You will not get a call back or adopt a dog. What Owner goes back on the review to talk trash to the customer that left the review instead of making things right??? Must have nothing else to do with his/her pathetic life.
This place smells so bad. It smells so poorly of strong urine. I understand they take animals in and thats wonderful but I wonder about the condition of the animals. They have no idea which animals on the website were there or at Petco. The young lady that was there was rude and didnt want to help us. Bad experience.
I called to ask about a kitten and the front desk receptionist placed me on a long gold. She never came back to check on me so I hung up after waiting for 30 minutes! I normally wouldnt wait that long but I was very interested. I hung up and called again and the lines are busy. An hour later and I called again and the line is still busy. Not satisfied with their customer service.

2022-03-05I adopted my best friend here a year ago, and I’m so happy I did. Such a great place that makes sure your pet has its necessities before they find their forever home. My dogs neuter, vaccines, and follow up appointment was all included in his adoption. Adopt don’t shop!

2021-12-24We adopted my sons ESA here and it was the best choice for our family. All the babies here, both big and small, had so much love to give. If youre a family looking for a loving addition to your family are interested in adopting, Animal Hope made the process so smooth and easy for us. Special thanks to Bailey who was the best to my son. We appreciate all you guys are doing here.

2021-08-04This is where we ended up getting our newest addition to our family, Remy. We started here, went to about 5 other shelters and ended up here again. They are a good place to go if your looking for a new canine friend, especially a small one.( apparently small dogs are popular) Their process is a little different than most though. You cannot just show up and expect to look at animals. Be sure you call or go online to make an appt to see the animal your interested in. They started this process because of Covid but saw the dogs, especially, were less stressed so they will be continuing to use this process. Also their adoption fee is a little pricey but it is worth it because you get the animal, their vaccines, microchiped, a bag of food, spay or neutered, and their first vet visit at the animal hospital next door. Remy is precious and we love her so much. I would highly recommend Animal Hope to anyone.

2022-06-03We got our newest baby from Animal Hope. They were super polite and let me bring my senior dog to the meet and greet. The adoption process was smooth and the staff was very informative. There was no pressure to adopt but I just knew Poppy was the newest addition we needed

2022-05-02I see they have good reviews about their cleanliness and care for the animals. Which is awesome! But their adoption prices are just outrageous! Everybody begs you not to go to individuals or breeders to adopt a dog. But the price at this place will make you try to find anywhere else possible to get a pet.

2021-07-03I adopted an adult male Pomeranian from them and hes been the most sweetest loving caring companion a lonely single adult like myself could ever ask for. They seemed to have taken really good care of him and they knew how to answer the questions I asked as I adopted him. Thanks Animal Hope, Chip has been a very good friend!

2022-05-17Just dropped off my bottle fed kittens, I am sad but I know they are in great hands. The ladies that greeted me were very sweet, they explained the entire process to me and that made me feel better about my decision. Thank you very much for taking them.

2022-04-07I adobted my sweet sick baby Saturday. They greeted me by stopping me at the door saying she wasnt ready because she was aggressive. No one called to cancel my appointment so I told them I didnt care I had rescued before. She opened the door and the worst stench hit me and caused my friend to throw up. There were sick looking dogs running loose in the entrance. When I got back in the room they brought my girl in she was hesitant at first then when the lady left she came right up to me. I wasnt leaving my girl there another minute. I paid my $450 adoption fee and she prissed right out of there. She has not been aggressive since weve been home. Im glad I found my baby but they need to clean that place up and be more professional. The owner contacted me and because of this baew canceled my vet follow up and called me a crazy old lady. There is a mix up on this dogs paperwork according to the microchip and vaccination ID, my dog is dead and a different breed and she has a tick borne disease.the owner is the veterinarian. Please just walk in this place, its worse than a puppy mill. Yes I love this poor lethargic dogfisharrhea since I took her.p
