Nice staff. However they always charged extra. You are expected to pay an office visit fee every time (approx $50-$60 additional to whatever services and medications they provided). For medications prescribed they charged me $40 for less than half a bottle (and I needed more so it was a cost each time). The vet also made my animal bleed when giving a shot cause they missed the needle. And what was a simple surgery for this small cat, they didn’t have the skills to do it and they referred me to a place that was going to charge me $3000 (it took forever to actually receive the exact quote because they took long sending the XRays) but the actual fee was going to be based on the consultation and it could go upwards of $8000. They were making me feel like it was urgent and the way they told me the estimates they acted like I couldnt afford it and I would just have to let my pet live like that. In addition, the doctor was very pushy when it came to vaccinations for our 2nd animal, they wanted us to get all them there and get an additional dose a couple weeks later. Each vaccination was a cost. We were already required to get most of the vaccinations and spaying from the adoption center we adopted our animal from, it was in our contract with them and it was free. I have no problem paying whatever costs for my furbabies, however my problem is that the extra fees and things did not seem right (especially since I’ve been to vet offices before this one but I was new to the state so I thought it was how it was here).Luckily I found a clinic that was better and even closer than this one. They have half off vaccinations on Tuesdays, even if your pet is not their patient. They will work with you and the vet actually was able to do the hip surgery/ same procedure as the place they referred me to for 55% less then they quoted. The vet also works with me and doesn’t over charge, sometimes I’m not charged anything. He only charges a new patient fee and fees for what is done in the visit (depending on what it is). Also I love seeing the dogs in the office. I am glad I found my new clinic. It is the Animal Clinic of Arlington (ironically the name is similar), it is off North Davis Drive.
I took my senior dog in Early January for what happened to be a tooth infection. Which resulted in having to get a tooth extraction later on. All I can say is, Dr.Melad Whaba was soooo patient and wonderful!. He explained everything to me, the process beginning to end with a confident yet calming tone. He gave me estimates and time to think about it without any pressure at all. Oh, and his vet tech Jacob was very gentle and sweet to my chihuahua. Definitely recommend!
We were so blessed to find this emergency clinic!Our sweet kittah boy, Remus Ron Perlman, had been sick for several days and we were so worried.From Jacob at the front reception desk, to the Dr. Whaba and his sweet vet tech, everyone was amazing and treated our boy like he was theirs.They are caring, compassionate, and very down to earth.Thank you guys for caring for our boy!
The best vet experience I have had in dfw. They know trooper by name even when we come in without an appointment. They are both thorough and efficient, always takes the time to answer any questions and concerns we might have..I refer all of my family and friends to them.
This vet is wonderful. He is compassionate to the animals, respectful to the owners, and reasonably priced.

This place is great! Our 11 wk puppy needed to be seen by a vet but ours was unavailable (covid). I was able to make a same day appt, on a Saturday and there wasnt a wait. Everyone was friendly and professional and we got sent home with our necessary meds.

I needed to get my kitty in that day due to him having respiratory issues, and I booked the earliest time at 3. They called me a little later and let me have a cancelled appointment, because of my worry. They treated my Bobbie so well. He got a steroid injection and antibiotics. By the time my baby got home he was breathing easier. He is great now and I cant wait for his follow up appointment.
Dr. Whaba is my new vet!!! I love this place! So kind and compassionate!! He saved my kittens life! If I could give 10 stars, I would. I cant say enough good things about this doctor and his vet techs!
Excellent service, The people there are very knowledgeable, they know what theyre talking about & they explain it in very simple terms. They are personable, they treat your pets like theyre their own. I saw them today and I was in and out. as soon as I got there they were ready for me they took my pet and they examined it came back and told me what was going on. Receptionist was very friendly and helpful. Place was clean and well kept. My cat had gotten into a fight and his leg got damaged and was swollen, the vet suggested to give him a shot of antibiotics and we took 2 weeks worth of antibiotics. Loks leg was back to normal in 3 days. The only reason I gave them 4 stars is because my appointment was at 4:30 and had to wait almost 2hrs.
Excellent service! Dr Riley and his staff are the best in Arlington. Ive only trusted Dr Riley with my fur babies for past 10 years. Hes kind and very compassionate with animals and they remember names of your pets, even those that have crossed the rainbow bridge! Highly recommend Dr Riley because he reminds me of an ole fashioned country Dr. with modern tech for your babies. He genuinely cares and so does his staff.
We had an emergency Today with our dearest sweet fur baby of 14 years, Our regular Vet couldn’t see her for daysss! We have found a New family Vet here at Animal Hospital & Clinic of Arlington. Each person I met was kind and concerned for our sweet girl which meant we would find out what caused her to become sick so fast. We are completely grateful for the time and care spent with us. You guys rock!

Our Victorian Bulldog got spayed this past Monday. She seems to be recovering well. The incision site looked clean and well stitched. The pain medication seems to be working. So far so good. The bill was reviewed carefully with me before the procedure to ensure no surprises. Thank you.
I have been a client of Dr. Riley for more than 20 years. He is an amazing veterinarian and so was his father. Dr. Riley cares about his clients and he is very personable. I cant imagine ever having to find a new doctor for my babies, he is truly the best! Once when I went out of town my dog refused to eat. His vet tech sat with her and loved on her for two days and she started eating again. The whole staff went into overdrive when my daughters dog was attacked by coyotes. Best Vet ever!
This is THE. BEST. VET. Since 1997, my family has taken 4 family dogs to this vet, and 2 litters or puppies. These people- Dr. Riley and his entire staff, love you and love your pets, and that is how you will feel when you go there. They are so centered around the care and well-being of your pet, and not centered around making money off of every single thing. If he sees your pet needs something, a lot of the time he will just do it and not charge you. For instance, if your dog has surgery here, expect them to do other things such as trim their nails or clean their ears out while your pet is out, just because it was necessary. They will remember your pets, long after theyre gone. And they are obviously great to work for, because theyve had the same staff almost my whole life. Ive had to use other vets for specific circumstances (I was away at college with my dog, etc.) and comparatively, Dr. Rileys office is just superior. I drove 40 min from my home to bring my dog to this vet today, and I cant imagine taking my pets anywhere else. Best vet Ive ever been to.
The other reviewers are not lying. This is absolutely the best vet I have been to in Arlington. I had to put my dog of 15 years down and they were incredibly sincere in their condolences and made the experience better than I would have imagined. Would certainly recommend them to any animal lover.

We have always received wonderful service from Dr. Riley. We drive from Keller because hes the only vet we trust. Never an up-sale and always straight forward on just the care our pets need. We wish all service providers provided this level of care for the customer.
I thought I had written a review previously, but I guess not! We just moved to the area and have had great experiences with Dr. Riley and the amazing staff at the Animal Hospital and Clinic of Arlington. After a bad experience with another vet in the area trying to get me to pay $1200 to biopsy a small freckle on my dog that I was worried about, Dr. Riley eased my mind and was able to remove it entirely for a small fraction of the price. My dog gets very scared in these situations and they even let me stay with him during the quick procedure. I appreciate that they arent just looking to nickle and dime their customers and feed into their fears to make more money. I definitely recommend them!

We found a dying kitten 😸 and we tried to save her ,they helped us so much veterinarian was so nice explain our options. Unfortunately the kitten died but we appreciate all the help they gave us and being so honest with us.

Dr. Riley is a caring and fair Dr. He is compassionate and did not charge me for checking out my kitten I adopted from GP animal control about a month before who was seizing and having major neurological problems the night before. The poor baby went crazy the night before hallucinating and foaming at the mouth. I did not see this when I got home cause the house was dark so I reached down to pick her up and she bit me. Obviously first thing that came to mind was rabies. Called GP animal control early next morning to come get it and they did nothing. Dr. Riley (my moms vet) let me bring her up there right away (she was seizing by this time) and quickly told us she had feline distemper and to take her straight to GP shelter to be put down. He wrote a letter to them stating she needed to be tested since she broke my skin biting me and to put her down. The Vet assistants are wonderful as well! This was a traumatic and horrible experience that I will never forget but the male assistant made me feel a lot better. He was very compassionate and understanding. Thank yall! I was completely broke at the time and dis not know what to do with the poor kitten but they checked her for free and the pound had no choice but to put her down free of charge. Ill never forget how it felt carrying the box with it shaking from her seizing in it. So sad! I will never adopt an animal from there again! RIP little baby kitty! She was a sweetheart!
The best vet ever. We absolutely love Dr. Riley and all of the techs there (our favorite is Jacob. One of my dogs has bad anxiety and Jacob is his favorite haha). They wont overprice you or misdiagnose just to get more money. Theyre always looking out for your dogs well being and are always so nice and loving to my pups. LOVE LOVE LOVE them.

I love bringing my dog here. I adopted him through the Trinity Gap Rescue, which uses Dr. Riley as their vet, so I kept bringing him here even though it was a bit of a drive because they knew him already. Everyone is so kind and gentle and Dr. Riley is great. Its not fancy or new but the stuff that matters is really great.
They stayed after hours to treat snoopy unfortuneately my daughter and her husband decided to put him down. The staff was compassionate. Unfortunately, I was in the car waiting for him to be released when i was told.
Our puppy has gone here since the first day we picked her up. Theyve been nothing but the best with our fur baby! Dr Riley and his staff are the best, very affordable service, and deeply cares about our Lucy.
Ive taken my Yorkie mix there a couple of times and everyone is super nice, good to my dog, and has given her great care. The parking lot and building floor are a bit shabby (its in a sketch part of town) but dont let that deter you. It probably keeps costs lower, but the people are top-notch. Dr. Riley has been great, and I cant remember the name of the other vet we saw.
Place went downhill fast after Dr. Riley retired. Rude front desk staff. After 20+ years as a customer I will be taking my furry kids somewhere else.
I live next door to another vet but I will on take my pets here. Super friendly, very helpful, and they are not overpriced. Each time Ive walked in without an appointment and they got us in and out without any hassle. I love this place and the staff.
I take my dog to the vet veterinarian believing it had parvo the doctors and the secretaries were really nice they assured me my dog didnt have parvo and they also helped my dog with a quick backroom Hopefully she survives ... my puppy ate my dioramaSMH.... #Pinatheputbull

I was referred to the clinic by a family member, and now it is the only place I will trust my two cats with. Staff is always very friendly and helpful, and the prices are reasonable. They were extremely patient and understanding with a friend who took two of her cats there to have them fixed, and was very worried anxious about the procedure, walking her through the process and keeping in contact with her so she stayed informed. They went above and beyond the expected norm with her, which I greatly appreciated.

I called this place to set up an appointment and whoever that lady is that answers the phone is just rude. Not only was she rude to me but she was to my mother weeks later when my mother called to help me set an appointment. So no...due to that experience alone on two different occasions...I do NOT feel comfortable bringing my fur baby to that place.
Originally found Animal Hospital & Clinic of Arlington because Dr. Riley also handles exotics and we needed a vet for our guinea pig. That was ten years ago and have been happy ever since. The staff is wonderful and genuinely cares for the animals. Reasonable pricing, honest and straight diagnosis are icing on the cake. I highly recommend their services.
Dr Riley and staff are just the best! Dr Riley gave me the news of CHF on my precious dog Poe & that it took me 2 days to realize my dog was dying. He saved the life of my female Mei. With a massive infection he warned me she might be pull thru. Dr Riley had his STAFF cancell the rest of his appointments for Meis emergency surgery EVERY PERSON IN THAT OFFICE IS EXCEPTIONAL!!

Very thorough vetrinarians both times weve visited with a very sick dog. 5 - yes 5 - other vets kept treating him for allergies which wasnt the problem! Found out here that he had an inner ear infection which causes more symptoms then just allergies! So appreciate the care and our Duke does too!

When we get an emergency at the Euless Shelter, which we sponsor, they go above and beyond to save our pets! Their care and compassion make a world of difference to pets who would otherwise die for lack of good vet care. Dr. Riley is a highly experienced and gifted vet who truly cares about all pets. Took my dog in was suffering from a skin condition diagnosed & treated in less than a half an hour came in just under $120 which included all his shots and a flea treatment Within 10 days he started to clear up and is my Happy Puppy Again Very pleased with Doctor Riley & Pleasant and professional staff

I was referred to the clinic by a friend and took my cat in for an abscess and ear mites. They gave me ear mite medication for my other cat as well as treating my minion. Didnt cost an arm and a leg, and the people there seemed very nice. To paraphrase my friend, They arent the type of vet to do unnecessary procedures just because its expensive. This is the vet I want to take my cats to.

Pleasant, personable & dog-savvy staff (went for first time today, for annual vaccines). Chose this place based off of reviews and very pleased. Glad to have a good place to go in the future after bad experiences elsewhere.UPDATE: 1 yr later, they squeezed me in for an emergency when my dog ate an ant trap & allowed me to also complete her annual exam while I was in there for the ant trap (since exam was scheduled for the next week).

2022-08-10First time visiting here. Everyone here is so friendly and kind. Little bit expensive Im not gonna lie but they sure do care for you and your furry babies. Definitely recommend this place.

2021-09-11If you want a Vet that cares about your animals as much as you do and explains in detail, what treatment your animals need, this is the place. I love taking my two babies here for there medical needs as well as boarding them when I need to be sure they will be cared for the way I care for them, while Im gone. The Doctor and his staff know my dogs both by name. Jacob is so caring and my babies seem to be very relaxed with him. Do I recommend? Hell yes I do, you will love this Vet for sure.

2022-05-07This clinic right here is the BEST! very reasonable prices & very sweet & sincere. BRITTANY & DOC. BARNS i can’t thank you guys enough. made my stressful situation a relief after leaving your clinic. my fur baby ended up cutting her leg soooo bad you could see meat & other nasty stuff. i would share photos, but it was gruesome. after leaving this clinic soon to be on week 3 my fur baby leg is almost closed. just ointment, antibiotics, & pain pills. wrapping her up daily had prevented any infection & thanks to their guidance & compassion my fur baby frito will be back in action in no time! thank you guys sooooo much! you definitely have a life long client.

2022-06-20We’ve meet Dr. Whaba a few years ago when he worked at a different clinic, and when I found out he had left I knew I had to find him again, he truly love and care for animals and I feel very comfortable during visits. Definitely recommend the clinic, all staff are very nice and loving with the animals. Even my cat that doesn’t like to be held let the nurses hold him with no issue.

2022-07-20Dr Whaba is amazing! Super caring and treats my pets with care. Been to him plenty of times now. Never pushy with services but provides honest suggestions for what pets need. Prices are also very reasonable. Will keep taking my fur babies with Dr Whaba and always recommend him to friends and family.

2021-04-14Animal Hospital & Clinic of Arlington is a breeze of fresh air. From the moment my daughter and I walked in, we were greeted by warm and thoughtful personnelShe came over to greet not only us, but our Guinea Pigs (by name). Thorough examination, answered all our questions, and was extremely patient. Thank you so much for making a new experience so easy.

2022-06-30I came here because a sweet stray was very yurt. The vet was sympathetic to my cause. After learning the stray was FIV and FELV positive, he told me ways to treat the cat, and find him a good home safely. The staff here care about the animals they treat and I will always recommend them.

2022-04-22This place is very nice and friendly the staff and vet doctors are amazing. They make time for you and your animals. They take time with you and your pet they explain everything to you make sure you understand. I love this place .I highly recommend this place for you animals.

2022-06-17I needed 2nd set of shots for a German Shepherd puppy, and because I have an injury, it had gone to the 12th week. It was supposed to be done at 8 weeks! Even though The clinic was very busy, they made time on same day notice to get me in to do the most important thing, which was the shots and a quick checkup, and schedule another appointment for a more thorough visit.The whole staff and Dr are very courteous and knowledgeable. Even though it was a quick visit, they did not rush anything, and did the procedures with care, and patience. Prices are extremely reasonable. I would recommend anyone who needs Vet services in the Arlington area to go to Animal Hospital & Clinic of Arlington!
