So to start our visit the host threw our menus on table and walk of in a different directions never said a word to us. Then they gave us a burnt appetizer and charged for the extra one because the first one wad burnt. They did try to fix it, but it is the principle . Other than that our waitress was awesome.
!! Cigarette anyone !!Yep feel free to light one up with your dinner. Walked in and it smelled like my grandpas old cigarette wall stained house. You can smoke in the restaurant and there are noooo dividers. Bathrooms were dirty. On a plus side the staff was friendly and food tasted good but you could not eat it with all the cigarette smoke. Come on Applebees you can do better.
Order a salad and chicken strip platter, which is to come with a dipping sauce and cole slaw. Cost over 50 bucks for something so simple and they cant even fulfill the order. How hard is it to put honey mustard and coleslaw in a plastic container. Every time I order from here it is never completed and if you call its ( i,m sorry if you want to come up here we will give you the rest of your order) if I wanted to go out why would I have ordered via door dash.
Went here yesterday evening 8:30 p.m. After the hostess seated us we waited 15 without anyone speaking with us The table that was three tables down and arrived after us got a waitress. We got up and left and won’t be back.
I have never been treated so poorly. I was told by an Applebee’s employee at this location that the to-go order I left there would be recooked when I made it back to the location. Then, because I live all the way in Crowley and I had to drive all the way back to Cleburne with my two kids as a single parent, they told me that the employee did not authorization to approve this. The manager admitted giving my food to another to-go order customer. I feel if I was white I would have received this treatment. I am a raving fan of the Crowley and Arlington location, and I would never recommend black people come to this location.
Food was good and wait staff was friendly. But the smoking section is the bar in the middle of the restaurant so the whole place stinks like cigarette smoke.
The food is very good waitress was very fast and friendly. Only problem we had was finding someone to seat us.
I ordered the bacon cheeseburger they have it was really good. I had a side of fries and garlic mashed potatoes. The mashed potatoes wasnt my fancy, but it was all good. I ate it quickly and my partner was losing his mind hahaha. Anyway thank you for the great service.
This place is smoking and you feel like you are in an ashtray bowl. Very ignorant staff and the food quality was not good. We are passing through this city on a trip and ended up in the place for lunch. This is worst Applebee’s I have ever been to.
Kitchen was an hour behind. Hostess asked other people if I informed them about the wait. I was a party of one I wasnt even offered a place to sit at the bar. Many empty tables. Guess I wont returning. Went down the street to IHOP

The service was very slow. When we did get our food it was either overcooked or cold. The table behind us was literally sitting there vaping and when I told the staff about it and no one did anything. This place has gone downhill and I wont be going back
Been to a few different Applebee’s, first time and last time to ever come here,As others have said you open the door and a cloud of smoke hits you,So you look around and see lots of people smoking at the bar ( thought was banned like others said)So we turned around and left, place did seemed dingy anywaySo wouldn’t recommendCant comment on food didn’t stay

It was nice. Someone was smoking at the bar which made the entire restaurant smell like smoke but other than that it was good.

Despite how out-of-the-way this place is, Ive had some of the best customer service Ive received from a restaurant in quite some time.
Drinks from the bar could have been better two people ordered exact same drink but tasted and looked different. And my drink wasnt made correct either. Food was good but they were running out of stuff while being ordered. My kids food took the longest time to get and all they had was corn dogs and pizza and a 30 min wait on sliced strawberries. Our server was amazing though and we were seated quickly all around nice place but who ever orders the product for kitchen needs to be more on top of it.

Make sure you are prepared for a sticky, nasty tabletop and the most uncomfortable seats you can find in NTXService was so unbaribly annoying youd think they are working for commission. You cant go 2 seconds without some of the staff asking it you are ok.Do not come here. You can get better food by scooping roadkill on to a plate and taking a fork to it

Whole place smells like cigarette smoke and they were allowing people to smoke in the building. If you were going to allow people to smoke in the building you should at least advertise it. Some people have medical problems that can’t be around cigarettes smoke. Basically is like a wish version of Chili’s. Every time that a server brought us something it was a different one. Waiter was upset and didn’t really seem like she even wanted to have her table because the hostess did not tell her. Overall just not a pleasant experience and the atmosphere is not very welcoming. Was very noisy everyone at the bar was constantly screaming. Including the bartenders. Very unprofessional.

Wife and I went to eat dinner I had Steak Rib Eye ,fries & Saled. Wife had Prime Rib French Dip fries. Not even worth the money ! The Agus for French Dip was Oion Soup?? Not going back

So sad. This place is still a smoking place and smells so bad. It made my son and I nauseous. The water tasted like dirt (real bad dirt). I asked the waitress and apparently it is the way Cleburne water taste. With that being said, I would suggest getting a filter. Gross

Welll... appetizers 2/3 were cold. Spinach & artichoke dip & Alfredo but bread and other Alfredo was hot & warm. Told them and waitress said they could remake or pop in microwave... um.. asked for manager and they fixed it and took it off the check. Food came before the appetizer remake... my mashed potatoes were cold & so were my daughters. Youd think they wouldnt give me cold food again but nope... they werent even busy.... Ive had better at other Applebees.

Need air freshner at door to remove tobacco odor. Overpowering for non-smoker wanted to turn around and leave but friend sprayed air with Lysol made it tolerable until we were seated in a non smoking area.Food and service were very good.
Overall it was pretty good.The service was good and my cup was always full and anything we needed was seen too.My only concern is that for the 50 dollar lunch I spent for only two people the food didn’t really match. I’m not saying that it was bad but the taste did not live up to expectations.
You walk into the smell of cigarette smoke at the Cleburne location.If youre a nonsmoker,its a huge turn off.
My friends and I went to Applebees to unwind after work and I will admit that we were loud and enjoying ourselves. We each had three drinks when the female manager brought the ticket to the table and instructed us to leave. And that we were not wanted in the facility. When I asked what we said that offended someone, her response was that we knew what we had said, she did not explain what had been said nor who said that but did infer we had offended our waiter. I apologized and had my friends accompany me out of the facility. I do take exception to her tone and the manner in which she addressed us and left because I was so appalled at be asked to leave without warning or time to correct whatever offense someone in our party committed. I will not be back. The service was slow and members of the party did joke about it. Sorry they took umbrage to our actions.
This is one of our favorite restaurants to go to because we love the food, the service, and the cleanliness! There was a snafu yesterday with the computer system though so it delayed our order reaching the kitchen staff to prepare. Although our food was just a great as we had become accustomed to, I rate them with only 4 stars and it is because of this delay. I feel that any restaurant that does not train their staff to handle power outages/computer glitches and be able to handle the situation in a smooth and organized manner needs a more experienced and knowledgeable management crew. Everyones order was delayed. Our server said to us I am sorry, but the computer has shut down and we cant send your order in yet. So, I have to ask myself why they cant write the order down on a piece of paper like they used to do? Has our society gotten so lame that they cant write an order on a piece of paper any longer?Anyway, once we got our food it was great and our server was very nice and did a great job (other than the snafu). I would still recommend this Applebees to anyone. Even with Covid, they wore masks and sanitized every table and booth as customers left.
Usually a pleasant experience, but not today. Its pretty safe to assume that when you order a French DIP sandwich, the auju is served with it. Not today. After a fairly lengthy wait, the sandwich came without the dip, only to be told they were out of it. I kept the sandwich since we waited a while for our food. Would have been nice to be told that up front, I would have ordered something else.Do better.

Service was great. Food was terrible. Imagine the smallest worst looking portions imaginable. Tiny chicken strips, tiny shrimp, mini thin ribs. Just not good. Sirloin was a piece of roast not steak. Very cheap food cost vs the premium they charge

Every server weve had has always looked a little scared and bewildered. They have done a fine job though. Three stars for the smoking , and because sometimes the chicken tastes like Im chewing on a piece of rubber. Flavorful rubber.
Not very busy and yet it took 10 mins for our drinks, and another hour for food. Got charged for 4 beers even though we only ordered 2. We used the call server function and yet no one came over.
Hostess seated us at a dirty table, I asked if we could please sit at a clean table. After all COVID-19 still exists!!Waited 10 minutes to place our drink order. Waited another 20 minutes to place our food order.I ordered a cheese burger, when it arrived it had no lettuce, tomatoes, onions. Had to flag down waitress to get these items.Food orders should be complete before it is delivered to the table.A family came in wanted a table for six, the hostess told them she did not have a table for six, They left. Come on now! The restaurant was not busy, they could have put 2 tables together. Needless to say they lost a customer due to laziness!!Ive managed restaurants before I retired, there needs to be some training done at this restaurant. What was the manager doing? He/She needs to be on the floor.I will not return to this location.
Visited on Sat. Nite. Servuce was horribky slow. Waiter did not know how to answer question about food prep. Drinks watery and food tasteless. Seems everything is prepackaged and just reheated. Wont return, food bad and overpriced.
Food was delicious and of course service was great thanks to our wonderful waitress! My beautiful niece Morgan! She is the best up there. She will surely take care of you and give you the best service.

We ordered the 2 for 25 steak. Mine was perfect but my sisters was so tough that she couldnt even stick a fork in it and cutting it was impossible. We eat there often and have never had a problem.. we told our waitress and she immediately ordered another steak which was very good. So Im not complaining, we got our food and enjoyed it very much. We will be back.
I ordered 2 Black Caesars and thought it had purple cabbage. When I got there from Joshua to pick up,was informed someone else had took one order,then was told cabbage was 5.99 Xtra. So I had to wait for my order to be completed and didnt get cabbage. I dont understand whats becoming of this world. People used to care about ur customer service above all,but they dont no more. So I just leave at that. Lettuce,shrimp is all.

Steak and chicken was salty, a kid running around-standing in the window sill, then jumping on the bench and nobody said anything. Then saw people smoking around the bar. Most likely wont go back.

I celebrated my birthday last night in this great restaurant. Well we passed a great evening and the place was clearly the reason for this successful event. The crew participated in a very nice style, the cuisine was extremely good and my guests were extremely delighted. We shall no dout return for more celebrations. Thank you very much.
This has to be the only place left that smoking is allowed while trying to eat.... only go here if you want to smell like an ashtray.
This is something that I never do because I also work in customer service and know how detrimental reviews are to a business. However, I am also a manager and if I treated my customer the way my sister and I were treated at this restaurant, I would have been fired n the spot. That being said, I am mother, working full time and raising 3 kids in the midst of a pandemic. Applebee’s is and will always be my sister and I’s favorite restaurant! We do not have one in the city that we live in so we decided to drive an hour to the nearest restaurant. After a long drive and a fun filled day of yard sailing and junk storing, we absolutely could not wait to eat at Applebee’s! The food was delicious and our waiter was precious! Unfortunately, one of the items that we ordered was not delicious, and instead of drinking it we simply asked for something else. We fully intended on paying for it but wanted something else. After tasting the beverage, our waiter said “you’re absolutely right! This is terrible, I’ll bring you something else right away and you will NOT be paying for this!” Awwwwwww that was really nice! My sister and I finished up and received our bill. We noticed that we had in fact, been charged for the beverage. My sister approached our waiter to pay and simply pointed out that there had been a mistake. At this time, a lady barged into the conversation and said “you will be paying for that because you ordered that!” My sister then replied, “I’m sorry, I wasn’t speaking with you, who even are you?” The lady then raised her voice, mind you a restaurant full of paying patrons, and said “ I DON’T GIVE A F*CK! I am the general manager! This is my store!” My sister and I were so taken aback and frankly embarrassed because this had just happened in front of several other people, that we simply went back to our table and proceeded to wait until the waiter came to our table to take our payment. This incident was so disheartening. Something that we had looked forward to for 2 weeks. Spent $100 there! And we’re treated like complete and utter trash. Now, I understand that the world is a crazy place right now and everyone is struggling and stressed but we are all in this together and we HAVE to be kind to one another...DO BETTER APPLEBEES! That is all...

Our server was wonderful! We were there visiting family wed not seen in quite some time & tied up a booth for an extended time. Our server never once made us feel rushed & was very prompt with drink refills & our lunch. The food was served as ordered & at appropriate temps... Will return.
Placed a order to be delivered, waited 2hrs and called. They said its still sitting there waiting to get picked up. They blamed door dash, didnt want to remake the food instead microwaved it. I called door dash and there is no history of the order, so basically the restaurant lied...

I love Applebees! My favorite place for great drinks and good food! The staff is always friendly. Masks are required upon entry and Social distancing measures make it easy to enjoy your visit safely. You cant go wrong at Applebees 🍎
Applebees in cleburne, 4pmish on saturday 9-4-21.Walk in and stand there, were walked past 6 times while waiting to be seated, finally a woman quietly said something incoherent thru a mask. I asked if we seat ourselves she mumbled something as she walked away. Walked out, have no issue going somewhere else, now gotta find someone who has a use for a fifty dollar crapplebees card.
The service was good, but it smells like smoke. Didnt know smoking in restaurants was still a thing. Left feeling disgusting and in need of a change of clothes.
The food taste like the grill is covered in gas and hasnt been cleaned in months. The waiters are pretty nice, but I just wouldnt recommend it. I dont think its a problem with the staff, but more the management. Also, the whole place is centered around the smoking section, and its all pretty open. If you cant handle a little smokey smell, this place isnt for you.
It is very noticeable that the food portions are smaller but the prices are not. Also, what is going on with staff and their attire? Several not looking crisp and clean tonight. Its hard to have confidence in the Resturaunt when the staff doesnt look put together. Tonight left me feeling like i chose the wrong night to spend hard earned money at a place I normally enjoy.
Waitress was rude to my wife and she found wat looked like a label on her food wont be going back and for being a smoker/nonsmoker place to eat if there are smokers there you will smell it and have to deal with it which kinda sucks and ruins the atmosphere
My family and I always enjoy our visits to our Applebees. Theyve got a great menu but I only get one thing: Bourbon St. Chicken and Shrimp. Its great!

Went in for casual dinner with some friends and family about 9pm on a Thursday night. The bar area was full but most of the restaurant was empty. Took very long time to get acknowledgement from staff, once we did get drink order taken the wait to receive these was ridiculous as well. Had to flag our server down to place food orders. Another ridiculously long wait. They started playing obnoxious loud rap music and a big group of intoxicated people at the bar area were shouting aloud the vulgar lyrics. If there is any type of management in this establishment, they did nothing to regain control of the situation. I was extremely disappointed in this visit. Not only would I HIGHLY recommend everyone not wanting to try to eat sub par food in a party scene avoid this place, I myself will never waste my time and money there either!
Had the chicken and shrimp meal deal. Was really good.I am picky about chicken and never want it undercooked. This was just right.And the place was busy but the waitress kept checking back and kept my tea coming.Thanks for a great job.

We eat at Applebees frequently but today was Veterans Day and they had the most tempting offer for Vets. It was much better than we expected. Service was outstanding and we were treated like heros that just returned from the war. That was extra special since we werent treated like that when we returned from Vietnam.
This place is awesome. Its a great atmosphere, great staff, and really good food. Also they have 1$ beer and 2$ margaritas, long island Ice tea, and bahama mama. Right now they have 1$ merry margarita for Christmas and 5$ frozen ginger crown apple. Which is amazing. Love this place. I go there every weekend.
Okay, so. Not usually a bad restraunt but at this point Ive had one to many bad experiences. The first one was we had a baby with us and got seated in a smoking area. Big no no. We ended up leaving without paying because our server just did not care. This most recent visit we ended up with a server that was seriously not attentive and kept forgetting to bring refills. Not to mention she kept chit chatting with the table behind us. And I know this has nothing to do with the restaurant but it wouldve been nice if someone asked the table behind us to quiet down. They were loudly talking about breast implants and one exploding. Im sorry but not the whole restraunt wants to hear about it. Likely not coming back to this location or any other locations. Just one to many bad experience. Dont recommend this location as Cleburne is trashy to begin with.
I love this place!! It has a Cheers feel. My home away from home. Manager Ashleigh is awesome!! Always has a hug and a warm hello. Bartenders Sierra and Amanda are great as well. It is like visiting old friends every time I walk through the door! My choice hands down in where to hang out.
We were disappointed in the fact that they did not offer any vinigeret type of salad dressing. Not everyone wants a thick creamy dressing. Think about a balsamic vinigeret. Yum. Service was excellent and main course was tasty.
I have recently heard some people talking bad about Applebees so was hesitant to even go there. BUT our daughter and son in law gave us an Applebees gift card so here we go. Our waitress,Audrey, was excellent. She earned herself a 50% tip. I ordered the Bourbon Chicken and Shrimp meal and honestly it was absolutely perfect. Just about the best meal I have ever had dining out. All in all a wonderful experience. Was glad we went.
Im going to start by saying my server was great and the food was good. I had a problem with the girl vacuuming the floor literally the table right across from us and then vacuuming around all the tables. I couldnt hear my wife talk. After smelling the vacuum kind of setting off the taste of the food and not being able to hear my wife for 5 minutes ask the waiter to have the girls stop vacuuming. I really think this is a management issue, that should be done after hours or when no ones in the area.
Food was okay but my fish and chips was not quite worth the $15 price. Smell of cigarette smoke permeated the whole restaurant. The service was good.
Customer service was one of the worst. Our waiter, Nolan, was nice and informative but the rest of the crew were lazy and unwilling to do their job. There was a short power outage and we arrived after it came back on. One server said that it will be a 15 minute wait until everything will be up and running again and we were alright with that. We sit down then a manager dressed out of uniform told us it would be an hour. No biggie. We are not in a hurry. As we waited my little girl wanted to walk around. At the entrance a couple came in. The same server that said it would be an 15 minute wait told this couple that they were not serving food. I was amazed! She knew I heard for the next family that came she sat them down. I watched to see if they were going to be turned away. Seems to me these employees just wanted to milk the system.
Clean very clean. That’s always nice.Our server had a great attitude and made sure we had a good time. First time having the Cedar Grilled lemon chicken. Please don’t take it off the menu it was awesome. Definitely going back.
Went in to eat... it’s so smoky it’s disgusting. Got sat at a booth and the table as very shaky so we moved to a table with chairs. I sat in my chair and the legs were loose and I felt the chair may break. Four chairs later we just left. Why can’t you fix your furniture?

If you dont like smoke and/or smoke smell then stay away from this place. It wreaks with smoke and that horrible smoke smell that is in the walls, carpet and all the decorations.Id give it one star but I dont believe in being an extremist. This place would be a lot better if they didnt allow smoking at the bar and one side of the bar area. The bar and bar area make up well over 50% of the restaurant. Its disgusting.
Every month a group of us get together at a restaurant to celebrate and remember the life if my son who passed away at the age of 29, on July 23, 2018. We had been meeting at Grumps because the food and service is great, but I wanted to gather at Applebees this time because of their October specials. Yesterday around 12:30, I called them to make reservations for 7 p.m.. When we arrived, they said no one had told them about our reservations, so the 6 of us had to wait while they put tables together for our party(which ended up being around 13) They were quick to order our drinks, but it took an hour and a half to get our food and then the orders were so messed up no one got the correct order, so we had to wait once again to have that corrected. THEN...they overcharged my sister and I each 6.99 for a drink that was supposed to be .99!! What a HUGE disappointment in service. However, we DID have a good time enjoying each others company. We will NOT, however, return there for our gathering.

Just left..For a night scene this may be okay. You wont be able to see how dirty the place is or the flies that hover over you.When we first walked in we almost turned around and left. The smell is horrid. All the waitresses were sitting at a table playing on their phones. Hostess walked up to us with phone in her hand.. Sat us right next to the waitresses.. We could hear their whole conversation. Very tacky.My husbands dish was good. Hott, and flavorful.. Mine, not so much. They must have made mine first and sat it off to the side. It was cold and dry.Very disappointed.
Pretty generic but good service and consistentReturned to the place and ordered a steak which was good.i did not like the four cheese mac its penne noodles and inder cooked so the manager brought me another side. The blackened shrimp and chicken is really really tasty. We will be back.
Loud music, a multiple TVs showing the same 2 or 3 channels, and ridiculously over-priced food... What more could you want from your neighborhood bar & grill?For such a small location the servers seem to get lost or busy in the back ignoring their customers quite easily. If you can get past all that the food is really good, well cooked, nicely seasoned, and the portions are respectable. My favorites are the Brisket tacos or the Whisky BBQ burger and their sweet potato fries and coleslaw are really, really good.This isnt my usual for family dinner night, but once or twice every six months its a nice treat.
Its been awhile since Ive gone to Applebees and today I went with my daughters after not going there for almost a year. Let me tell you that the service was horrible very horrible that our waiters told me that we couldnt order an appetizer unless we put all the order in right away. Yet we were not ready to order so we wanted an appetizer first then place our order in. Then my burger was not cooked all the way and it took her a long time to bring our drinks

Staff is friendly and helpful. Had servers come by several times from different sections just to say hi or to check up. Management works directly with the staff. I could see them running food and filling people’s drinks. Overall it seems to be a good environment.Food was surprisingly fresh and juicy. I got a steak and the kitchen cooked it perfectly. Their mashed potatoes are delicious as well.Side note! The restaurant seems to be fully invested in the holidays. I came in near Halloween and they had spooky decorations all over the place. Same thing goes for Christmas because it looks like a winter wonderland!Cleburne Applebee’s is a hidden little gem with good food, good people, and a good atmosphere.This doesn’t bother me but the entire staff seems to be gay or gay leaning. Okay, can someone help me as far as why restaurants sell dipper sandwiches, only to leave out the au jus??? Is this only a Cleburne thing??? I wish I were exaggerating, but we ordered a dipper from McAlisters THREE times, all 3 times, came with no au jus. We infirmed them, and of course made some jokes about it.Then we figured well order from Applebees. Theres NO WAY they can charge this much and leave the damn sauce out too. Food arrives? NO SAUCE.Why dont all Cleburne restaurants just promote their dry sandwiches??? Why post it as a dipper if it comes with NOTHING TO DIP IT IN???? This has to be a joke.
The first time my husband and I went, it was a bit disappointing (the electricity went out for some reason and our waitress was less than helpful), Although, the food did taste pretty wonderful despite not being able to see it really as we were eating in the dark while there were open tables with lights over them. HOWEVER we went back and they did redeem themselves. We had a nice waitress who brought us refills just before we needed them and the food was still amazing! The manager came out to check on everyone as well which was nice. We will be back for sure. The steak, 4 cheese Mac n cheese, & the maple pecan mashed sweet potatoes were amazing! Ill change to 5 stars when we go back and get the same service as the last time!
I went to this Applebees with my best friend. We had an amazing server named Suzy. She did an excellent job. I would definitely recommend and will be going back soon.

Went to the Applebee’s in cleburne.We order the 2 for 30.I had the chicken parmigiana, and my girlfriend ordered a steak.1. Our waitress was non attentive, so we had no refills.2. Got our food, and my pasta was dry and felt like it had a can of tomato paste smeared on it.3. My girlfriends steak was dry, and I mean like beef jerky dry. The only thing I could say that was “ok” were the mashed potatoes. Plus we only took one bite of the steak, and one piece of the chicken (that was edible) in the chicken parmigiana plate.4. We told the waitress our food wasn’t any good, she gave us a discount, but for food that was inedible, we should just had got the check thrown out. Plus the manager never came to talk to us at all. I told her we would never come back, she brought us a card for a free appetizer, if we ever decided to come back, we left the free appetizer card with the check.So if you want mediocre food, be my guest, but for us, never again.Frozen, microwaved tasting food.
We had the bbq brisket taco plate. Which my love raved about for two days.I had the salmon with honey mustard sauce. This time it was very fishy tasting.Now I have had the salmon other times, and the meal was great. I was there around 9 pm. So that could have played a part in the taste.The sweet tea did taste like dirt, but I generally get Dr pepper. Overall I enjoyed my meal, and we will eat there again in the future.

The food was good. But the service was awful. They were super slow at everything, from seating me to picking up my payment method at the end. It seemed like the only thing this place was good at was getting people drunk and letting them act crazy.
We tried to go for the kids eat free promotion with our three kids but we didnt even last long enough to order. The cigarette smoke from the patrons smoking in the restaurant was overpowering. Completely took away my appetite. Other Applebees I have been to felt like restaurants with a small bar, this felt like a bar with a few restaurant tables around the perimeter. Not a place to enjoy with your kids.
We ordered online and said free delivery. After a while we didn’t get our food and called. Not only did they solve the issue, the manager refunded our money plus gave us a free entree next time we visit! And so here we are enjoying a wonderful meal!
Every time we come to this Applebees its great in terms of service. I just wish it didnt have such a strong cigarette smoke smell. With my husband and I being allergic to cigarettes, we tend to avoid this particular establishment unless we have to. Wish they could at least put the smoke eaters fans in the restaurant to help with the smoke smell.
Bartender (Erica) was great, good drinks! Just ordered the loaded potato soup and there wasnt 1 chunk of potato in it. Very watery(not a bad taste just the bottom of pot)....potatoes are cheap come on. Fix that and its a 5 star
Pleasant atmosphere, decent food, our waitress was nice, competitive pricing, in general a good value. The hostess held the entry doors while I pushed my wife in her wheelchair.
A pretty smoky atmosphere, but the staff was very kind and helpful. One of my friends left his keys at the table and our waiter caught up with us out in the parking lot and returned the keys. Thank you!
Terrible, terrible, terrible. As I write this review, I am still struggling to breath. This place allows smoking in the bar, which is in the center of the restaurant (aka. smoke is everywhere). If you are a smoker, Im sure you enjoy this. For those of us who are not, it is BAD!We asked our server if we could open the door next to our table for some fresh air. Nope. They are afraid of flies. Not second-hand smoke or cancer - flies. Its unreal.Had I known, I would have gone somewhere else. Now that I know, I will never go back.

Very poor choices for food. Hadnt been to Applebees in a long time.. Now I remember why. Stopped in on a whim to get lunch to go. Long wait and the bartender that finally got the food wasnt very nice. I guess I needed to be sitting at the bar drinking a beer at 1pm on a Tuesday (and it was full, BTW-do people not have jobs?!?) to get decent service.
The waitress was exceptional she was right there if we needed anything, but the food was just not very good my steak was really tough and full of fat.
Went for dinner with my wife the waiter was very un attentive to our drinks had to be flagged down numerous times finally a manager came by and took care of us.The food was subpar I ordered a new item off menu it was amazingly disgusting couldnt even eat it. Thankfully the manager did charge us for it. This place is really a smoking ashtray. Loud people drinking and smoking at the bar really turn a romantic experience you may wish to have had into a something terrible. QUICKLY. Spend the money on gas and drive to Burleson.
I know weve all had the COVID scare and restaurants have been closed and honestly Applebees in Cleburne should continue to keep their doors closed because the working staff act like they are afraid to serve you. Decent food but horrible service. They are afraid to hand you anything and afraid to talk to you. Just close up and stay with Togo orders.
For a chain restaurant, this is pretty good. My sirloin was cooked to perfection so thats a good way to get a good review. The service this time was a bit slower than past visits but still acceptable.
Nolan was our waiter. service and food were good. Did not like how the food was listed on menu so Nolan was happy to change it up for us. Refilled our drinks without having to be asked and was always attentive to what we wanted.only reason not giving 5 stars was the cheap paper napkins and the floor was not swept.
Nothing major but I asked for my steak to be medium rare and it wasnt. It wasnt very warm either, like it had been sitting for a while..
It was okay. The food was a little slow to arrive and it was tepid. I have liked Applebees in the past but this isnt a one-off experience. The last three times I have been to one (different locations), I have been underwhelmed compared to prior experience. Not sure why that is, but overall they dont seem as good as they used to be. I will say they have tons of TVs to watch sports though.
Worst service Ive ever had. Came here last night with a wedding party of at least 20 people. All the gangster locals starred at us and literally prevented us from being comfortable. WILL NEVER VISIT APPLEBEES EVER AGAIN. I will forever boycott this place! I feel sorry for any investor like meself who has put money into this place. All investors should run! This entire corporation will be out of business very soon, due to locations such as this. Good luck applebees investors! Im now your enemy forever.
The food was good but the cigarette smell caused us to not want to go back. We didnt know it wasnt a smoke free restaurant. Service was not very good, but it was pretty busy.

VERY POOR management of the bar. VERY POOR customer service when customers requested a big certain game be viewed on a tv. TVs halfway worked for major games. Management was very rude when I wanted to watch major game. I will personally never come back here on good terms and HIGH RECOMMEND OTHERS TO AVOID AS WELL. Way better bar and grills available. This location has HORRIBLE management and costumer service! If I could rate 0 out of 5 stars I would. Do not tip. I didnt for poor costumer service.
Nasty cant cook and the waitress was lazy
Placed online order. When picking it up my wife went in to grab it. They were not that busy, but acted confused as heck about our order. Drove back to hotel to find our order was wrong. Smoking is allowed here so it stunk. Bunch of guys at bar staring at my wife like she was a piece of meat. Will not return.
Horrible....order came out wrong.....twice, not like this is the best place to get a steak but damn.....at least cook it correctly. The staff acted like was my fault for their errors and the locals got into a fight while management did nothing. Definitely will never eat here again nor any other Applebys.
I used to love coming here a few years ago. I enjoyed ordering the Riblets and it came with fries and beans on a little stand.. I dont even think I saw that on the menu the whole 30 minutes I sat there trying to decide. Food was okay but I feel for what I paid I could have just stayed home and made the same plate of food only cheaper...
Started out great, friendly staff seated us, one server very attentive...a different server claimed our table....all downhill from there. Husband and son in laws 3 cheese chicken penne tasted and smelt like stale beer...oh my, it was made with beer cheese dip??!! Bread sticks came out late and overcooked, basically hollowed out crust. No server to check on us...son in law went to bar to get our refills, approached manager on duty and he got attitude, she got defensive.Theyre recooking the penne dishes, after us ladies already ate. Taking all home now, plus free desserts.

Usually am happy with Applebee’s but drinks didn’t taste right. Bartender was way too heavy handed with the liquor too where that’s all I tasted in my mix drinks. So not really happy with tonight’s experience

Good food and good service. We have been going to Applebees for many years and have never really had a bad experience. The all you can eat ribs or chicken is a fantastic deal and the margarita specials ($1) made my wife pretty happy. Im sure well find our self eating at Applebees many more times in the future.
Yup,5 stars! Because,a true 5 star restaurant is just charging a lot for a little to say you paid a lot for nothing,just to say you did,and it was nothing... whats the point? The Margaritas were good. The Verde nachos were not very good, dont understand why they are called verde? The service was terrible as was the wait, steer clear of waitress Emily S. She would disappear for 20 to 30 minutes at a time
Really nice to us, me, being a Vet. Gave a $5 off next visit. Problem is I quit smoking 14 years ago and the wife is allergic, it makes it hard to breathe and taste the food. If it wasnt for the crappy service the last time we would have gone to the Arlington Applebees.
Everything concerning the food and service was five star. The reason for a three star rating has to do with it being in Cleburne and having a bar. Unlike the bigger cities Cleburne still allows smoking in bars. With the bar located where it is, the place smells like an ashtray. If that wont bother you, then I definitely recommend this particular Applebee.

Applebees food is good but its something you eat about once a month. The atmosphere is ok. Theres a lot of great deals if you want to be frugal. The alcoholic beverages are great.

I never go there but wanted the wonton tacos I had heard about and the minute I walked in I couldn’t breath, the place stinks of smoke. There is no separation from the smokers and non smokers. I knew before leaving many years were taken off my life due to second hand smoke and that I’d be forced to burn what clothing I was wearing bc that smell doesn’t wash out. The service was ok, I wanted to place a to-go order but those are thru the bartendwr who is crazy busy. I will not go back until the smoking is over with for good.
(Hair in food) I dined in at this location on 12/03. My server RJ was the greatest ! Polite, happy, and addressed any needs we may have had. Halfway through the meal I unfortunately found hair in my food. I let RJ know who went to go get the manager who couldnt find the time to come to our table and speak to us. I find that highly unprofessional and quite rude. If Im not mistaken RJ is a server not a personal errand runner as the manager made him be. I hope in the future when a problem arises you handle the issue. Nevertheless I paid my Bill and left a generous tip because it isnt my servers fault that his manager has no grace and professionalism.

The Applebees in Cleburne Texas is hands down one of the best neighborhood restaurant bar and grills I have ever had the pleasure to encounter.Great staff and the kitchen is ALWAYS spot one. We like the new pasta - grill menu. My wife and I both had grilled chicken. It was good, served with a pasta side dish, steamed broccoli, and garlic mashed potatoes.

Great food, good servie most of the times. Would say 4 to 5 stars but they allow smoking and even with the filtration system in place, it smells.
Walked in to place a to go order, about $100 worth. Hostess directs me to a packed bar while 2 waiters stood around. When I asked for a quicker option she suggested I call it in, just rude until I asked who answers the phone and she said the bartender, as she laughed, thats not funny asshat. 1st and last time.
We got crammed in a corner by the bar. 7 of us on a small round table. Waited for awhile. They took the chicken fried steak off the menu. I think we had a couple waitresses neither of them seemed to take our requests seriously.
Chayenne was very nice. I still dont enjoy that smoking is allowed, but... it is open until 2am. I could always order to go, but good tastes different once Im home.
Waitress didnt know what kind of wine they had, service was so so and there was a flyer that said draft beer $1, but waitress said it was only PBR. Asked manager and he said it was all small drafts. I drink coors light not PBR. We will not go back! Not the first time weve been disappointed!
Absolutely horrible service! And not the 1st time. Shame on me for thinking 6 months later maybe thing have changed. Food order was wrong, appetizers came after the meal, water had unknown objects floating in the cup, hostess confirmed the table was clean by wiping it off with her hands, all the tables around us had sat at their tables twice as long as we did with no drinks or appetizers and their complaints fell on deaf ears.
The place offers an awesome range of delicious food. I enjoyed dining here. The employees are always helpful, pricing is fair and the spot is always well organised.
The food has always been good at Applebees. The manager came over because there was a loud customer that insisted on every other word being f*** and apologized and said they were going to talk to that costumer and wanted us to know in advance in case there was a scene.
I used to like Apple bees but now ivwont eat there again. My food is never cooked the way I ask and have to wait Every time. No refills on my drinks and my server tried to screw me over om my bill then yelled at me. Terrible service all the way around.

Delicious! 😋🍹The food quality here is good and they always have money saving deals.I got the salmon the last time I went in and it was cooked great and very flavorful. I absolutely love their chips and salsa and would stop by just for that and a drink! Broccoli and potatoes were great consistency and flavor.The Ceasar salad just needs more green Romaine lettuce but without it was still fresh and dressing very tasty.This is a great place for lunch or dinner, or even just to chill with friends and family. Wait and Host staff are usually quite friendly and attentive.

I could have sworn that this was ban years ago. The place smelled like smoke as soon as you stepped in. We were visiting someone in the town and decided to eat at Applebees. I would go back if smoking is prohibited.

2022-05-11We never even got a drink after waiting 30 minutes. Never saw our waitress. Never spoke to anyone besides the hostess. There was 2 of us. Yet the table right beside us with 6+ people got their waitress and drinks right away. They werent busy and had plenty of people standing around. Will not be back.

2022-03-08Food was good but $$$ when you have 2 hamburgers, 1 Tea and a water for $37 after leaving an 8 tip $45 with no appetizers. Service was very good. However, Cleburne smoking in the restaurant with no ventilation really. So the rating wasnt food or service just the smell and smokey air.

2022-04-26I usually love it here but my steak was supposed to be medium rare and it was so done and tough that I could barely chew it. The waitress saw how hard it was to cut and offered to get me another but I didnt have time to wait. It was way over cooked. The waitress was great but the bill was $85 and my steak was terrible.
