Was referred to them by friends who already use them. Very professional service and took care of all our needs and problems. Use all natural compounds too. Service frequency when entering an agreement depends on season (once every 3 mos in winter and every 2 mos in summer). Helped us get rid of pests, roaches, ants both in and around the property
Aggressive sales people who go door to door who dont take no for an answer. If they were so great, they wouldnt have to resort to strong arm sales tactics to gain clients.The only pest problem i have is these sales people ignoring no soliciting signs and bothering me at dinner.
Way better than ABC. My biggest complaint is that they’ll send you a text saying what day you have an appointment but they won’t give you a time. They’re supposed to call when they’re on the way but I never get a heads up. Kind of a pain when I’m not home. Overall good. Terrence is the nicest bug person ever.
One of the guys knocked on our front door on a friday afternoon and he is forcing my husband to get the $50 service. I understand it is his job, but no means no. I almost called the cops on him because he really wants us to spend $50. I could hear him say i am wasting my time and money. Very disrespectful. First of all, thats not how you do business. My husband asked him for his business card and he could not even provide one, saying he left it somewhere. He also asked my husband to sign up, all he needs is a check or bank information. The contracts are expensive and they will overcharge. You have to sign into a horrible contract and they schedule too many appointments to help drive up the cost. I am confused how many positive reviews are on this page. I expect they are bots or fake reviews. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! I am desperately trying to get out now but no one answers the phones or gets back to you.
We love Aptiv! Joel is our guy, weve requested him as our permanent and we have had him for over a year. Hes knowledgeable, professional and a super nice guy! I have no regrets for being on the aptive quarterly plan for 4+ years. Thanks Joel and Aptiv for keeping us bug free!
The sales people use high pressure sales tactics and not upfront about a $200 contract cancellation fee until you are about to sign the contract. they keep texting and calling you afterwards if you cancel the contract.The exterminators coming out to actually clear the pests were very helpful and friendly, unlike the sales people. they did a good job.
Aptive came into our neighborhood around noon (private with no soliciting signs) and went door to door. Brandon was asked to leave several times and kept sneaking back in. He was finally confronted again at 9pm (still ringing doorbells) and escorted out for good. Pretty creepy and unprofessional. If a company trains their employees to act like this, they dont deserve our business. UNTRUSTWORTHY. UNPROFESSIONAL.
Please do not use this company services . Even with using their services . My insect issues are worst ! The last service that I had I told the guy that I would like to pay in August instead .He assured me that was totally find and even gave me a date of August 1st to draft out of my account . However, he just told me anything and they drafted my account anyway . This is very upsetting especially since I actually spoke with someone that told me otherwise . This company is wasting my money because my insect issue is worst. To cancel services you have to pay $200 which is ridiculous.
I am a multi year satisfied customer of Aptive Environmental Pest Control. They are always prompt, courteous & professional. Their prices cannot be beat. My original primary concern was using products that would not harm my family, nor pets, while removing lil beasties. APC safely creates an undesirable environment so the bugs go somewhere else. No one gets harmed in the process. I highly recommend Aptive Pest Control to safely remove unwanted pests from your home and property.
The exterminator is consistently late they arrive without calling in advance and do a rushed job and leaves within five minutes I have asked for management to give me a call so I can have conversations with them concerning this issue I have not received a return phone call to date
The service yesterday was alright. The young man sprayed for wasps and other insects. Later that evening I found large wasps in my house. I am allergic I called today to speak to a representative and have only gotten an answering machine.I just saw another flying bug! (WASP) (Monday) please respond
Unfortunately I had to change my review of this company due this to a recent eventThey claimed to have come out under contract for a free retreatment which is under contract and they ended up charging us a $150 fee. The technicians report stated that he did things that he did not do I guess he was unaware that we have cameras that cover our eire property and and he claims to have come in the house and in the backyard and did not even bother to correct the problems that we have reported. This has put me in a difficult position and Forcing me to decide if I want to continue business with this company a decision on if I want to continue business with this company or not. We have been doing business with this company. It has been over a year close to 2 years and were still are not pest pest free.
Our Aptive tech Jacob Lucas was phenomenal! He cleaned the cobwebs out of our garage, which our pest control people had never done before, cleaned cobwebs off and sprayed outside, and even made sure no pests were in our compost bin! He also thoroughly explained how the products worked and was very attentive to hearing about the pest issues that we were experiencing.
The door to door sales man just kept talking when I said I wasnt interested. I repeated myself multiple times and he just kept talking. I ended up shutting the door in his face.Ive dealt with many door 2 door sales in the past,including from aptive and never were they this bad.
I have pests that are so bad! They are door to door sales people from this company who solicit my home even though we have a DO NOT SOLICIT sign, violating a City of Austin ordinance. This company is not allowed on my property though they come back, sometimes as Moxie and sometimes as Aptive. They are the freaking worst and I am reporting them for trespassing.
Aptive does a great job. I walk my dogs daily and notice along the sidewalks and in people’s yards when ants are more prevalent in the neighborhood. Since using Aptive, we’ve never had ant piles in our yard. I feel confident our dogs will be bite free playing on our property.This past treatment, I told the service technician, Eusebio Alvarez, a concern I had at the side of the house. He immediately had a solution he would try and clearly explained what he would do. He was helpful, friendly and came to our home within the time frame he said he would be here.
Matt C was the best employee Ive had from this service. He noticed ants and hornets from his walk from the van to the front door that he pointed out to me after I answered the door. We walked the back yard and I pointed out some things I had seen lately. Very receptive and thorough.
We had Jake L as our service technician and he was amazing, he made sure to remove all the insect harborage on my home, including under the second story eaves. He applied the sprays in such a way as to drive insects away from my home and just in general went above and beyond. We have used Aptive for over a year and this is the first time I have been moved to leave a positive review. Jake was overall awesome!!!
Aptive sent Terrance H.to service my home and he was great. Ive had several different people come before to service and Terrance was the best so far, I wish he could be the one to always come to my home. He listened and was very thorough in doing his job, I observed Terrance really following up on what was expected. Thank you!
Had my quarterly service & was very pleased w/ Jamaal Ws work. He called to let me know when he would arrive & was on time. He was so polite, very professional, alerted me to a wasp nest (which he removed), and treated my yard for mosquitos, fleas, as well as my normal quarterly treatment. He offered to look inside the house & garage for signs of any problems. Overall, an excellent experience; very nice man who did a very professional job. Really appreciate his efforts.
Very professional and friendly. Job well done and thorough. Matt was awesome and did a fantastic job inside my home and in the backyard. He was fun to talk to and did mention how long to keep my pet dog away from the drying sprays. I really appreciate him and his care of my property and my dog.
Aptive as a company is terrible. Our bill and our contract is and stated quarterly service but they have been charging us 8 times a year for over a year now. When we brought this up with them they tried to tell us this is the plan we signed up for. But it’s not. And the bill clearly states quarterly service. They said they’d get back to us about refunding our money but never did. We have now had to contest the charges with our credit card company.But Terrance is AMAZING and professional. We love it when he is assigned to our house. Everyone else is unprofessional and seem to care about their job.
Ive had Aptive for a couple of years now. They are always very professional. I really like that they text me prior to coming so I always know when they will be here. Eusebio always lets me know what areas he has concerns with and what areas he treated. These guys are awesome!
Luis was early, which was good. Luis was very professional. Greeted us and was respectful when speaking to us. Asked questions to make sure he performed all tasks we needed. He also sprayed some extra areas when he noticed fruit flies had moved to the walls. Luis was transparent about his work and what safe guards we needed to be aware of for our family and animals. Luis and Carter, who came by to check on us, made sure we were not overcharged when they noticed a discrepancy. I would advice letting the sales personnel know that when the lawn is high, the tech cannot use the spray, BUT can use the granuals. This was the only ‘issue’ I noticed. We moved from ABC to Aptive because you have more things you provide to care for bugs, such as, spraying higher, spraying the bushes and trees, and spraying and brushing across the eaves. Thank you for your service. We give Luis and Carter a 5 our of 5! Got some really good guys working for you!
The tech that came was Nick. He answered all of my questions. He was knowledgeable of the task he was to perform. He was friendly and professional. I am having extensive service to rid my home and property of fleas and he explained everything that he was going to do on the property as well as in my home. I feel confident that this process will work.
It’s a good thing I was home. Apparently since my last servicing 3 months ago they have changed their policy and are now not spraying the yard as part of their regular service—even though I have been a customer with them for two years. I asked to confirm the services performed. And that was when I was told this was no longer standard as they were now offering new marketing “packages” for new customers. Thankfully, the tech (who was a very nice and knowledgeable young man) stated he would provide the yard spray since I was a “grandfathered” customer. I am NOT blaming the service tech. I am, however, concerned about management not providing proper communication to their techs or longtime existing customers about policy changes that could impact service we have been paying years for.
Matt C. was very thorough and patient with all of my questions and made sure that to confirm the price of the service before he started work. He gave me time to move all my plants out of the way and made notes about what I would like each time our home is serviced. He did a great job!
Sasha Kuhn did an outstanding job today. She has been by far the best tech Ive experienced with Aptive since Ive been a customer. She communicated with me at several points including a heads up call on her way over, a thorough discussion of the problem areas when she arrived and then again during her treatment of the property and finally on her departure as well. I appreciate that she listened to me and took the time to do a very thorough treatment of the property. She even climbed into my attic to see if there was any signs of rodent activity. Overall, Sasha is an excellent technician with exceptional customer service skills. I would like to request her for future service please. Usually, I get a different tech every single service call. (And not all techs are created the same.). It would be wise to utilize her knowledge of my property already for future visits. Thank you and great job, Sasha!
Matt arrived earlier than expected but called 30 minutes ahead to let me know. He removed two wasps nests and was very engaging with me. He checked the rest of the eaves for other nests and checked for ant beds. Further, he suggested and replaced the sticky pads in the garage. He went above and beyond. He is very friendly and provided a very positive service. Thank you Matt!
If this review would be based on Terrence, I’d of given 6 stars. He was on time, very professional, extremely polite and respectful. He treated the inside, outside front and back and was very thorough! I had tried Aptive before years ago and was very disappointed and unhappy with them. The guy who came out twice did not even treat the yard. So I was asked to give them another try since they’re under new management. Trust me, with a person like Terrence on their team, they should be getting great reviews. I hope he is the person to come back for future treatments. He’s a HUGE asset to the company. Thank you Terrence for doing a super job!!
Firstly, the salesman was incredibly pushy and would not take the hint and leave. I finally signed up for services and someone came at a later date and sprayed the lawn. Myself and my two dogs had awful reactions. I had a rash on my hands because I love to go outside and garden, the small dog was covered in a rash on his belly, and both the small and large dog would vomit and act strangely. Cancelled the service soon after.
The representative and technician were very knowledgeable, friendly & courteous. The technician, Matt Cannon, arrived on time and finished his job quickly. He made friends with my dog to ensure she was comfortable with his presence. The same treatment was used as in past applications and was effective.
I am a new home owner but have been in Texas my whole life so no stranger to all the insects. I recently have had some issues in my new home with a variety of bugs and heard about Aptive so reached out to give their services a try. I filled out a questionnaire on their website and they called within an hour to get more info and set up an appointment 2 days later. My service was performed by a tech named Eric and he was very knowledgeable and informative! He explained the whole process before beginning treatments and during. He didnt perform any treatment without advising me of what it was for and why it was necessary. Based on information I was given I am optimistic that it will work.
Doric was very friendly and went above and beyond with service today. He realized once he got to my home that Aptive had scheduled me a few weeks early and asked if I needed service today, or that, if could wait for several weeks, he would come back at my scheduled time to save me money. He asked me if I had any issues and when I mentioned small ants inside the house, he gave me some indoor bait traps to help take care of the issue and then offered to spread a small amount of pesticide around the front of my house to take care of things until he could come back for a full treatment. Im very impressed with his level of thoughtfulness and concern for my property!Update 9/23/21 - Over the past year, Aptive had been declining in quality of service at my house, to the point I was ready to cancel. Marcus was the technician that took care of me today & did an exceptionally thorough job by wiping the entire exterior of the house for webs, treating the eaves & corners for webs & spraying the entire foundation & lawn for insects as well as treating the fire ant mounds he found in the yard. Before leaving he confirmed all the things he had done. Marcus restored my faith in Aptive, thanks very much Marcus!
The Technician that came out to my home was all around good. He communicated what he was going to do, asked me questions about my home and answered all the questions I had for him. This company has been good to me and my home all year long. They do wonderful work and I highly suggest using them.
Weve been using Aptive for over a year and have had no bugs in our house. Outside is a different story. We had many wasp nest around our house that have been taken care of by Aptive Environmental with no stinging of our people nor the Aptive people. We suggest that you give them a try. You can even call them out to your house a week or so after they treat your yard if you still have bugs or wasp. Now thats what I call service. The important part is that they are a little cheaper than the others we have used. Thank You Aptive Environmental!
The young man that initially sold me the service was extremely personable & knowledgeable about the service & safety. Lionel scheduled the appointment for my first treatment & explained details of the service the technicians would provide. When the technicians arrived,Brandon, Louis & Mitch explained everything & went about spraying the inside & outside, removing spider webs & wasps nests & treating the yard. I highly recommend Aptive Environmental to protect your home.
This one of the greatest team of techs that will constantly blow your mind the Austin South is the great on purpose first with the leader Big Irv. Sergio, Omar,Bruce ,Tyler , Marcus , Gavin, Josh, Raul, Justin and the First Lady of there team Sasha. They are all great and will never disappoint you with their service. A group like them is hard to find. A Team stand uuuuupppp,!!!!🤗
Usually, when someone comes to my door I am an expert on saying no. This guy was so easy going, thorough and likable that I listened. With a great deal, I ended up agreeing to try the service for fleas. The very next day another very respectful easy going gentleman came out on time and took care of inside and outside with great care and detail. He let me know more than once that if I had any problems they would come back no charge. Fleas are the pits to deal with, it I’m feeling optimistic.
Had Matt Cannon out to the house today and he was great! Went way above and beyond which is what I’m noticing with this company. Matt found 6 hornet nests and many ant mounds. Sprayed inside the house as well. Was a pleasure having Matt over he was happy to be on the job which is always refreshing to see someone that likes what he does and takes pride in his work. It’s easy to tell and was a good feeling to have someone like him to complete this job from a-z.
Great group. We had a flea problem in our backyard when we first bought the house. Ever since we started getting service from Aptive, over a year ago, we haven’t had ANY issues. We don’t even need to give our dogs topicals, collars, or chewable flea prevention. The fleas are completely gone from the yard and haven’t been back since.Far cheaper than paying for flea meds and we feel it’s better for the dogs as well.Also, big plus, haven’t had a spider or cockroach in the house since starting service either!
Making the appointment over the phone was easy, however the agent I spoke to failed to communicate what I needed to the tech that came out to my home. We needed something a little more extreme than what the company offers. The tech, Gabriel, came in and spoke to us about what the issue is (mice/ rodents, interior problem) and when we realized the miscommunication/misdirection, he was honest and professional and answered all of our questions and did excellent as far as customer service goes. After he left, I called Aptive again about my account and Andrea listened respectfully and took care my situation professionally.
I’ve had Aptive for almost a year, and if it weren’t for the gentleman that just did my service, Jamal, I’d give this 1-2 stars. The pest control product is not potent enough. They never spray enough, like what was promised by the salesman, and you can never get a hold of them. The service is terribly overpriced compared to others in my area and I regretted it from the first service. All that being said, Jamal did a great job today. I told him I appreciated him and I’m glad he came by. He was very respectful and well mannered. Asked me if I’d like to know when he was done, first time that’s happened. He did a great job compared to previous technicians and if I had cash I would’ve tipped him. Thank you, Jamal! You get 5-stars, Sir.
We switched to Aptive a couple of years back and have not regretted it. We recently had a follow up visit for a yellow jacket nest and they sent someone right out. The tech, Doric Sayre, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable about the several types nests that weve seen and what the differences are. I would recommend them for all of your pest control needs. They said, that I could call for a reservice at any time during the month. So I did. The lady who took the appointment was incredibly nice. They made me an appointment within 24 hours. They came back for a re-treatment because of the extra rains were getting extra mosquitoes. Plus as I was showing him the areas-not to spray, because of the butterflies and bees, a disc in my back slipped causing me excruciating pain. He stop what he was doing came to help me make it back into my house. Offered to call EMS. Brought me in the house set me down on the couch as my attendant got me an icepack. He actually called about an hour later to make sure I was OK. What are incredibly nice in person and employee. I definitely will refer this company to anyone I know.
I have been with this company for over a year and have been very happy with them. After the 2nd treatment it took care of our insect issues. Ive been with other companies and started to think they were all the same till I started dealing with Aptive. They communicate well, easy to contact and go out of their way. Every tech that has been here wears a mask and booties to cover their shoes which I certainly appreciate! Brandon just sprayed our home and I cant say enough great things about him! He came right on time and listened to my concerns. Truly one of the nicest guys. He is such a hard worker, very informative and personable. Aptive appears to only hire outstanding people and I plan on staying with them forever because of it!
I’ve been with Aptive for 5 years. They are always easy to get a hold of and always come out in between visits if I need it. They are the most affordable service for the value that I get. The technicians are always super professional and make sure that all of my issues are resolved before leaving.
I have been with Aptive since August 2019. I have always had excellent Techs and they are all professionas. My latest problem was with fleas and I immediately called Aptive for help. The next day the tech arrived at 11:00 am to spray all that was needed. Thank you for being a great company.
Technician didnt call 30 minutes prior to his arrival as I instructed so interior wasnt sprayed. The interior is all I needed to be sprayed which is why I requested an early notification. However, after I called about the problem they rescheduled me for early the next morning. Other than the miscommunication, I am very pleased with their professionalism and speedy response.
Jeff Brooks was the service tech that came out to my property. He was punctual, I received a call 30 prior to showing up, and he was extremely personable and professional. He listened to exactly what I issued I had and recommended the best eay to treat this infestation of ants Im experiencing. The service was done quickly and he informed me when it was over. This is my second experience with him. Both times have equal ratings. I woild recommend them to everyone.
Matt is soooooo nice! It’s my first time owning a home and bugs are my worst fear. So naturally, I’m gonna get you guys to come out here and help. But Matt has been so sweet. He gave me so much information in regards to the questions I had and even told me some things about spiders and how to deal with them during the mating season. Honestly, I’m very grateful he came by because I was already having a poor day and his pleasant personality definitely put a smile on my face. I sure do hope I get Matt again and if not, we’ll anyone else would be extremely lucky to have him. He’s the best!!!!
Just had Donald out for a pest control and treatment session. He was prompt, professional and positively communicative and receptive to my needs. He listened to me discuss the areas that needed extra treatment due to some chronic ant infestation in a column in our outside porch. Aptive is lucky to have techs like him, these are the folks doing the work the company provides. I hope to have him on the schedule for our neighborhood in the future.Thanks again Donald!-MJF
I was referred to Aptive by family who use them at their homes and I had just as great experience as they said I would. I was reached out to promptly by Jaxson, given a quick and easy quote from Andrew, and they had someone here the very next day. Their professionalism is remarkably top notch, and the technician Omar who came out was great as well. He was knowledgeable in everything I was having an issue with and easily explained everything he was going to do. He kept a mask on the whole time and was great at keep a safe distance from us. Great service at a great price. Definitely recommend!
Updated as of March 2022:If you have rodent issues, I recommend shopping around for a company that that has techs that know what theyre doing and offer better options.During the February freeze, rats made their way into my home. Needless to say I was freaked out. The aptive tech did not seemed knowlegable on how to handle the situation. He was able to lay traps, but that was it. There was NO bait in them. After the first night of not trapping them, I called for them to come back. FINALLY added bait and I trapped one, but since it was on a Sunday, they said they were not opened so did not offer disposal services that day so I had to dispose of the rat myself!Then there was another that I saw and requested them to come out but they said they could only come once it was trapped. I begged them to come fix the traps since they obviously werent working and they refused. I immediately called another company, A-TEX, and they set a lot more traps amd the rat was caught that night. They offered a rodent package, which Aptive never did. They closed up all wholes on the inside and outside. It would have been nice for Aptive to give that option, but since the techs seemed green, all they knew how to do was set traps - and not even correctly.**********Ive been using Aptive for a while now. They always have the best customer service. I needed an interior spray of my house done in addition to the outside and they are always able to accommodate my busy schedule. Reasonably priced as well.
Mr.McWilliams (our service tech) did an extensive spraying/ brushing of my home and grounds. He was very knowledgeable of the varied “critters” My home presented. We are adjacent to a green space. I would request he do my next servicing. He is the best pro we have had yet.
Service is great! All the gentlemen that come out to my home are polite, accommodating and informative. My Only issue is that I can never reach anyone about appointments. I get an email and a text that my service provider will arrive in 30 minutes to complete my quarterly service... The Day Of! And then my doorbell rings not even 5 minutes later. I have asked for inside service to be done prior to newborn baby coming home to get it done as we have to be out of the house. Could never reach anyone to setup date. I was told they do their own scheduling but they never tell me date until the day of! So annoyed. Apparently the company is based out of Utah and there are no local ppl to attend to my issues. They just come and go... hopefully my yard is actually getting sprayed because the money in my account is depleting... Im not too happy with management of this company right now and currently searching for another 💁🏾♀️
I’m tired of trying to contact them and never get the to answer the phone call, I’ve been waiting for 45 minutes and nothing. 1 week after they came to do the extermination I found hornets in my house and FLEAS. I called it took me 1 hour for the operator to say “we will call you later” approximately 5 hours later I get a phone call back and they basically weren’t able to answer any of my concerns they just said we will send somebody soon... sow now I’m in my backyard where they spray and aparently she said the spray works like an infections and all the other ones will infect the other insects... welll now I have HUUGE SPIDERS ... don’t waste you moneyZ
We’ve been Aptive customers for 2 years now and have been impressed and highly satisfied with their service. The critter of the month club no longer occurs and our overall incidents with pests has drastically reduced from 2 different previous services (which is saying a lot in Austin, TX).Their treatment of the interior is thorough and complete, but what really sets them apart is the care and attention paid to the outside. Between the house overhangs, the weep holes and and the yard barrier, they truly provide a deep and lasting coverage that protects the house.In addition, both their office staff and customer/facing crew are outstanding. Friendly, easy going, always accommodating.They provide email, phone and text reminders for upcoming quarterly service, will easily rearrange schedules to accommodate requests. They also always offer additional services, for free, in between the regularly scheduled quarterly services.Seriously great service, great product, competitive prices. Job well done.
First service visit so far and Im impressed. I was unsure about my appt window and customer service answered my question quicky and easily. Also sent a follow-up message to my tech Wes Ray who responded with also very promptly. He showed up, explained the whole process and made sure to answer any questions I had before beginning his work. So far, Im impressed with their service.
Brandon was phenomenal!! Not only was he very knowledged in his job but also a friendly guy with a great personality! He treated my home and family with kindness and great care! I would rate him a 20/10, that is how great he was and would also recommend him to come back and do my services from this point on! With amazing workers like Brandon your company will always be great! He listened to all concerns regarding our house and What precautions to take as we bring in a new puppy! Awful customer service! Signed a one-year contract and asked to be billed monthly. This did not happen. Called customer service, still did not get fixed. Each time the technician came out, only half of the area was treated and my bug issue was never resolved. After one year, I am still getting billed for a new yearly cycle that I did not agree to. Now they are refusing to refund my auto-draft. Nothing but problems with this company! Do not recommend!!
Excellent service, very pleased. Technician Doric Sayre helped explained possible issues and provided recommendation and applied those solutions on same visit. Also help remedied additional findings. Excellent communication, professionalism. Speaks very well for aptive service as a whole.
Their actual pest control is great however because they could never get the billing straight each service was such a PAINFUL process. We tried auto draft of our bank and our credit card and even paper invoices. This company was not capable of properly billing or even taking my money without sending our account to collections. (If you have my credit card information sending to collections seems contradictory)
Wes Ray came out to do our service. He was very professional and courteous. We asked if there was something he could spray indoors for the small ants we have seen lately and even the occasional roach. The roaches we find are always dead. He came in and took care of the kitchen and the bathrooms and even explained to us that the reason we see the dead roaches was most likely because they come through the plumbing but as long as they come in contact with the barrier they create outdoors they will die.
I love Aptive as my pest control service. The techs are super friendly and quick to get the job done. During the pandemic they enter the house with a mask on and since it was raining today, the tech put booties on over his shoes to not track any mud inside my home. I have quarterly service, but they’ve always come out for free if I see bugs or have any issues after the service. Efficient, affordable, and friendly service.
Zach was our pest expert today and it was a wonderful experience. He was professional, knowledgeable and friendly. He did both inside and outside as requested and asked if there was anything else we required. He knows his job well and is EXCELLENT at customer service. We began with Aptive about a year ago due to having issues with wolf spiders, scorpions, centipedes, and wasps. In the beginning we didn’t have the best experience with them. The men they would send to service our home weren’t very professional. The office wouldn’t give me the notice I requested (3 times) of 30 minutes before the service men arrived. When the service men would get here they would knock on the door and if you didn’t open the door immediately they would leave and I would have to chase them down or reschedule. We have 4 dogs and it would take me a couple of minutes to put them away so that they wouldn’t come in contact with the chemicals they use. They would rush through our home in a hurry, treat a couple of spots and then leave. It got to the point to where my husband would have to walk around with them to make sure they treated our home in as many places as possible. However, the last two service men we’ve had treat our home have been so awesome!!! We’ve had a gentleman named Ben whom we’ve requested to do all further treatments on our home and another named George that they’ve sent in place of Ben for if/when Ben absolutely can’t make it. They were both very professional and VERY informative! Both took the time to inspect our home and asked if we had any questions or concerns. They’ve taken the time to answer all of our questions and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the service they did on that day. They even treated any fire ant piles they saw in our yard (without us asking!), which had never been done before. We’ve been able to prepare for them to come by now that we get the 30 minute notice of arrival. Because of Ben and George we continued using Aptive, had they not sent them we probably would have discontinued with Aptive and gone with a different company. Ive used several exterminators over the years and Aptive has been consistently better than anyone else. My exterminator, DJ, is on time, thorough, and very kind. I like that I get a text message ~45 minutes in advance that tells me when theyll be here. The customer service I receive from Aptive is great and theyre somewhat less expensive than other service providers! Its no wonder so many people in our neighborhood use them.
First let me say the service technicians that came out to spray were absolutely amazing. Every single one of them every time!! So this review is NOT directed to their professionalism. We also enjoyed the actual service and the effectiveness of the products used. The issue my husband and I have is with their billing/scheduling. We signed up for quarterly service and were told we could anticipate service every 60-90 days (aside from the initial visit which is broken up into 2 and scheduled 2 weeks apart). Aptive continued to book and schedule us repeatedly. Even twice in the same month. Keep in mind you pay every time they come out! I tried calling to correct the issue 4 times. One time i got a text saying they were coming the next morning at 11pm! I called the hotline at midnight to resolve the issue. In the last 2 month we were scheduled July 6th, July27th, and August 7th again, this is supposed to be quarterly service?! AND, I am NOT a new client I had been with them for over a year. AND this has happen multiple times! I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and and opportunity to rectify the situation but after the 4th time we are done. Aptive, please fix, update, or change your scheduling system because at the end of the day we are left feeling like Aptive tried to scam us by booking us repeatedly.
I have had two visits so far. Both were performed by friendly professionals! They were courteous and thorough.My one piece of feedback is that the technician this last time (through ABSOLUTELY no fault of his own) was not equipped with tools versatile enough for him to complete his tasks.My suggestion would be to equip service providers with an array of different poles and brush heads to enable them to reach hard to get at areas on and around house exteriors.Otherwise — This is a GREAT service! Well worth the price.
Highly recommend Aptive. Both the salesman and the technician who serviced our house were both very professional and respectful to me and my wife. The attention to detail while spraying the home was refreshing to see. Twice, the technician brought me outside to show me problem areas, explained to me how he was going to fix them and reminded me if the insects come back to call Aptive and they’ll come out for free to spray again.
I just needed a re-treatment for the surface because coaches had reappeared After the Storm. The gentleman (Devon) came as he always do. Did his Services very professionally, he done everything that I asked made sure that he laid the traps that I needed and quick and very effective. I always like to see when he comes he always listens to everything I asked and he does everything that is needed. I really like when he comes. Absolutely great!!
Called earlier to reschedule receptionists said they can do it in the rain.. Gave her a different number to call when they were 30 minutes out, that never happened. Technician then called me saying he was 30 minutes out, gave him the number to call that never happened. He said because of the rain they would reschedule the outside, that never happened.??? Outside was treated.Why is customer service not important?? And he sprayed the grass when it was wet. How is the product supposed to dry first like he said??
Aptive came to my house within the time frame they had set. Gabriel sent me a text message letting me know his estimated time of arrival which I appreciated so I knew what time they would be here. He was very informative covered all bases and gave me information that I didnt even know that came with my plans so I really appreciate that. So far from my experience Im really happy I chose this company.
We received the initial service on July 9, 2021 and agreed to a one-year contract for 6 additional bi-monthly occasions of service. On July 28, we received the initial by-monthly service. On August 20th, 23 days later, we received notice that we would be receiving another occasion of service. Because of the short period between the first two bi-monthly visits, we cancelled the second and received an e-mail confirming that the service had been cancelled. On August 23, our credit card was charged for the cancelled service. I was able to get through to the company but was transferred to corporate who apparently hung up during the conversation. I have been waiting for over an hour on a second attempt to reach the company but continue to remain on hold..
Aptive always provide quality service. Technicians are always professional. They make recommendations if they see issues and always ask if there is anything that you want addressed. I’ve been using Aptive for two years and have never had any issues with pests. I highly recommend them.
Aptive comes out as a quarterly service. They do a great job. If at a later date we find ants they will come out for a re-service.Anthony was the tech today. He called at he arrived to ask about any specific issues we had.They let us know what work/ treatment had been done.
We tried using Aptive for a few years. Having a new tech each treatment and a call center instead of a person to talk to was a pain, but we made it work. However, when they started ignoring texts, emails, phone calls about pausing and cancelling service it was too much. People showing up at my door to service when Ive asked them not to??? Very unprofessional. They even charged me for service that was not completed. Its like the magazine club you signed up for in the 80s, you cant get out!If I could get them zero stars I would. Get it together!
This review is for the contract set up and initial treatment only. If I get what I was promised I will be very happy. Ive had a long term contract with another company and have been relatively happy with them but opted to try Aptive due to additional services offered at no additional cost. The sales rep and service technicians were professional, polite and knowledgeable. Hoping this will be a long term relationship with a reputable company.
Aptive was on time, the tech explained everything that was going to happen and asked if I had an questions or concerns about the service. He treated the whole from and back yard...we are on a 1/4 acre that seems like a pretty good value to me. I look forward to all the crawly things in the grass to die. Thanks!
I have a subscription for quarterly service and I never have to worry about scheduling. I get a text to notify when they will be coming. They are usually good at taking care of wasps nests and fire ants. If not I can call and theyll come back out with no extra fee. I had indoor service once but only need them to spray the outside since then.This service is great since my property backs up to trails to keep the scorpions at bay. Stepping on them is the worst! Keeping grass cut is a big component, which they also advised.
Today Batman and Harry came to my home and performed their services to protect and prevent my home from having pests. They were very professional and took care of all of my needs completely all done in under an hour at an affordable price. Fantastic gentleman and I would highly recommend them!
We have a service contract with Aptive. When the person arrived, he mentioned that he did not had any chemicals to spray the interior of the home. He just sprayed the exterior. This was despite the fact that we had requested them to service the inside of the house. We had arranged for someone to be present at the house to give them access to the inside. Dissatisfied with the service.
Not sure what the service or value is. Cancelled my contract after 8 months. If a mouse trap goes off you have to wait days for anyone to come to your house to pick it up. By that time you have to deal with it yourself because they smell almost immediately. Plus their traps aren’t even that great. I’ve had mice get stuck in them and I have to let them out of the trap and watch them scurry away. Just get your own traps and avoid their “quarterly” service fees and terrible customer reps. I will say the guys that come by the house are super nice though. Stark difference between the customer reps I’ve dealt with for nearly a year.
I am modifying my previous one star review because this company has stepped up and corrected every single issue we had with them. Either they got a whole new crew or they have worked hard to train their team to be responsive, responsible, professional and dependable. I am hopeful considering today was my 1st treatment introduction to the company. Dallen who was the representative cordially took the time to explain his company awnsering my many questions and concerns. What chemical do they use, how long does it last, would it harm other bugs or toads, and simple questions like scheduling. Even though I was being lead he didnt just know 1 way to awnser the questions which was refreshing. Thus far my dislikes was i was contacted 3 times by phone but the name didnt come up as the company. I also wasnt left a voicemail to explain who they were. I did get texted which i prefer. The last was from my understanding Dallen was the one coming back to do the treatment. Another gentleman came in his place whoes name i missed or wasnt given. If the companys reviews, promises, and Dallen is a reflection of the company I believe it was a good investment.
Service is good just have a few issues with scheduling in the past Ive had to stay home to get the service done because they dont give you much notice. All the technicians that come to the house are polite and nice they are all wearing face masks. But the people that set up the appointments need to do a better job. They came to my house today July 8th luckily I was home otherwise I would have miss my appointment. I did not receive a call, text or even email saying when my service appointment would be. People work or have things to do theyre not going to be home all the time so this needs to change. Give people a notice a head of time so they can plan properly and give them the option to have profile with preferences of when they would like you to come to the house.
Very friendly salesman and competitive pricing. But the service didnt seem as comprehensive as advertised. The spraying led to a lot of dead roly-polys, but I havent noticed a significant improvement beyond that. If anything Im seeing more bugs. Im not sure if that is because of the quality of the service, but it could be.
The employees are unfailingly polite and professional. If I have a concern between quarterly visits a technician often comes out the next day. Today Anthony H came as their technician and was professional and so polite. He was even better than people sent in the past. Aptive apparently trains their technicians very well. I asked him to check out a possible wasps nest and he immediately removed it. I have to say I have been pleased with Aptive whenever they come out and that is a rare sentiment.
I made the mistake of giving this business a second chance. The first time was a few years ago. Could got get them to be consistent for timing nor were the services complete. I was constantly having to call them to come back. The 2nd time around it appears they can not count. I signed up for quarterly service and they have come nearly every month and wanting to charge me every month. I contacted them this morning when they showed up at 8 am while still in bed and they said they would not charge me. I still was charged. Im done. Highly would not recommend. Take your money anywhere else where they can count and listen to you.
Brandon and Keith are amazing. I had my first appt and scheduled service about 2 weeks ago and noticed a mud dobber nest and some sugar ants in a window seal a few days ago. I called and they came out very quickly. Brandon and Keith came this time and were super amazing and friendly. They treated the areas again and got rid of the nest ( I’m super allergic to wasps and bees so that’s awesome) and even cleaned up some old spider webs and treated my new mulch for possible ants. 5 stars for Brandon and Keith!
The guys were awesome. The sales rep that came through was very helpful and informative. I asked questions and he was very knowledgeable about the products being used. This morning the technician Josiah Moore came out and he was very polite and respectful. He explained all that he was doing. And even showed me areas that he saw problems and that he treated. He also gave recommendations on areas to hit for the next visit.
Really appreciate the service so far. Every associate that comes out has been so sweet and polite - The gentleman that came by today even took his shoes off before coming inside! They always make sure to ask if I have any special requests, and are always really fast! Makes it easy to juggle working from home while also getting the house treated. Treatment has gone well too, making very noticeable headway with the roach problems in this old house by a creek - Tough challenge, but Aptive has made a difference!
These guys go above and beyond to take care of all my needs. I havent seen a roach since we started the process with these guys and they come regularly. Call them back one time because we discovered a rat. They came right away and set traps. Thanks for the great job yall do.
Customer service is non existing. They do not respond to emails. The people who process the billing and schedule the appointments are incompetent. Ive used them for the past year and a half for quarterly visits. Out of the 6 visits, only 2 were done correctly. I asked to have the inside serviced each visit, 4 times the tech serviced the outside and left. I personally do not want anyone servicing my home when I am not there. Next, they billed me an additional time in error. The charge was refunded but still, it should not have happened. The reason I discontinued business with them is because I specifically stated the day I signed up for their service, The inside needs to be serviced the same date as the outside. That only happened twice! Again, the other 4 times, theyd service the outside, then have to be called right back out to do the inside. Also, they could never seem to fix the ant problem near my kitchen sink. Keep in mind, we do not have children, pets, and our home is spotless. So no clue why Orkin was able to fix the ant issue but Aptive could not.
Ive had nothing but positive experiences using Aptive as my pest control service. Every single person Ive interacted with has been incredibly friendly, professional, customer-focused, and quick. I highly recommend Aptive because the service level alone makes this a good value. Not to mention, mynpest problem is 99% resolved in just 4 visits.
The agent yesterday (Heath) was very professional and answered all my questions easily. Today when the two men came to work, they too, were professional and easy to talk with. They worked hard outside before they worked in my garage and attic and inside the house. They were very thorough and explained things well. Overall it was a nice introduction to your company and I’m glad to be a client. Great job!
Though there was one or two “service pros” that were prompt, polite and on time, the number of poor experiences I’ve had caused me to cancel my service.They auto schedule your appointments and text you a time. However they are late more often than not and very unprofessional.My last experience was very poor when I revived a text 30 min after my 5 hour appointment window stating he’d be at my residence in an hour. When I said that didn’t work for me he said he didn’t need my negativity.This was the last straw. I have cancelled my service and can not recommend this company to anyone.

Wish I could remember this technicians name, but his wife is a school teacher and he has young kiddos at home. He was very polite and wore PPE and apologized for the poor service given at my last encounter. He was exact in his service and sprayed inside and out ... watch out millipedes and cockroaches! He knocked in the door to let me know when he was finished on the outside. Thanks for a job well done!Previous review:I wasn’t here when they came to treat. Would have liked a phone call to coordinate to have them come inside to help keep the little millipedes outside not coming indoors now more since they sprayed outside around the boarder of my home. It’s was a cold and wet a windy day... so I’m not really sure how effective this application will be. I know people gotta work though 😬
Other then the initial service we have not been satisfied with their treatment of our house and property. When we signed up we told them our concerns which were ant hills, wasp nests, ticks, and silverfish in the house. After the initial treatment they were to come out every 3 months to retreat. Each time they have come out since the initial the person is barely here 30 minutes and NEVER touches my house. I have 2 acres and a 2400 sqft house. This last time the guy was here less then 10 minutes. He came to my door told me he would be about an hour then went to his truck. My daughter was outside to which he did not know and saw him mess with some stuff in his truck and then leave. HE DID NOT SPRAY A SINGLE THING! Then he never came back. We are stuck in a 2 year contract or I would fire them! As of right now we have been wasting our money.
It seems that I pay a lot of money for the service. The one time that a female technician came was the only time I felt like I really got good, 5 star service. She took time to sweep the eaves all the way around. She took 2x longer than any male tech and it was the only time I felt I recieved good service. She took her time and did a thorough job. Im considering dropping this service. I pay 32.00 per month for a 10 or 15 min cursory spray around my home every quarter.
If they come to your door saying they just exterminated your neighbors house just close the door. This is a money grab scam, they over charge for something we can just buy on Amazon. But the worst part the customer service is extremely rude especially when youre trying to cancel their crappy service. My advice is to just bomb your house yourself and save yourself a headache with dealing with this company.
Gabriel came by to perform my service today. He was wonderful! Hes very respectful and efficient! Hes knowledgeable about the service the company provides. He answered questions and provided me needed information regarding lizards etc. I hope hes going to get a big Christmas bonus!Hes a keeper!
I like these guys. Theyre fast to respond and their guys are nice. Sprayed my house for ants and trapped a mouse. The guy was very respectful of my house and wore shoe covers to not dirty up the interior.After using these guys for a few years, I do like them still. They have free service, so if some pests come back in between services, you can call and they can come and fix it up.
Active has been very professional and the reps have been very easy to work with. Our rep Matthew P. did a great job on our service! We havent detected any bugs since he came by. The pricing was very reasonable, too. I also like how we can call them in between quarterly services if we feel the house and yard need upkeep sooner. I had to run off to work during our appointment time so I left the back gate open. I really appreciated how he made sure to lock it up once he was done with the job.
Every encounter I have had with a service tech from Aptive has been incredible! I work nights and needed to move my appointment last minute and Gabriel was so accommodating and polite about the schedule change! A great group of people to have service my home! Thank you!
Always forget to refill bait stations. Have to come back, then charge me an extra service charge. Wanted to cancel this month’s service. Called 6 times to cancel and the guy still showed up… and he left my back gate open… again! Piss pore service! I am terminating with this company!
Service to date has dine the job in removing the bugs from my home, garage, deck and yard. They alert me to planned visit well ahead of time, are punctual, always are friendly and professional, inform me of what they are doing when they arrive, finish quickly and it works. I don’t have to worry about finding someone to do it when u need it - it stays stone. I am bet satisfied and happy to be their client!
Aptive Pest Control made this experience so easy. Spencer was super personable, was able to give us a great deal and sent somebody out the next day. Carter came to spray the house. He was also very personable and was very thorough while spraying the outside and inside of our house. We were given a time frame, and then received a phone call when they were about 45 minutes out. The sales person for Aptive was a very high pressure person who kept pressing me to sign up for the service despite the fact that (in retrospect) it was not a good fit. They offered to kill pests, but refused to get rid of mosquitoes and squirrels, which, are really the pests that I need to get rid of. They did accommodate changes in schedules via text as requested, so I gave them one star for that, however, they billed me twice after I both called and emailed them to cancel my service. While their service might have been useful for other pests, I saw no change in the pest population that I actually have in my yard. Maybe their treatment is effective for other things, but for me it was just a solution looking for a problem that I did not have and wasting my time with billing issues. The service I received was certainly not worth what I paid. Next time if I have pests I will buy stuff at Home depot, knock down wasp nest with a broom handle, or set traps for a lot less money. I also dont like that I asked for an all natural treatment and what they gave me was far from it once I got the material safety data sheets on it. The sales people are obviously willing to say anything to sell the service, regardless of whether it is true or not.
Typically they show up when I’m at work and my wife doesn’t pay muchattention when and if she Is home while they perform service. This day in particular the young man showed up later in the evening, which was fine, but I was able to show him a hornets nest I had already mostly eradicated and he noticed some other areas where any hills had sprung up. All in all I love their quarterly maintenance and surprised I have been using them for almost two years now. Great value for their service and products. If we ever need special attention in an area, they are easy to reschedule through their app. I like that I get text notifications. And the fact that they don’t have to show up every month is great! Love Aptive!
Aptive is always great about calling ahead for appointments and working with my busy schedule. They always accommodate my special time requests and are always willing to service both in and outside my home if needed. The technicians are on time and very professional and courteous. Tony Victoria was outstanding this last time around as he insured we were all taken care of in a timely manner. He went out of his way to thoroughly answer any questions I had and also was very friendly and professional at the same time! I would recommend Aptive to all my friends.
I signed up with Aptive for our new home. Over the past 8 months, they came out to our home multiple times to service after our noticing increasing bug activity (especially spiders) in our yard.I started seeing the spiders grow in numbers and finally decided to cancel the service. They suggested that they were using the same product in the last 6 months and asked me to let them re-service with a different product. I let them come down and service my home again, just to my disappointment again. They did not even clean out the spider webs in the front of the home.After waiting for couple of weeks and seeing no improvement with the spiders, I decided to cancel the service. With only 1 service left they asked me to pay $199 for contract termination. After suggesting that is is not fair, they made me pay $97 for the last service which I am not using.Good: The agents on the phone are very responsiveBad: Everything else.- The products that they used at out home were not effective.- The service was not professional as they did not even clear out visible spider webs in the front of the home.I would not recommend this to any friend or neighbor who is looking for pest control.
I signed up with this company and called and emailed this company twice to cancel my service due to financial reasons. They still sent someone to my house to perform service while I was deployed and sent a bill. Now that I have returned I have a bill for over 300.00 they sent to a collections agency.What a nice way to treat a Veteran!
Our quarterly service was scheduled for today, but I never saw the technician. I received an email and text notifying me that the service had been completed, but never saw a soul. When I called customer service, they confirmed the time the technician reported they came by, and that they reported that they could only spray the front of the house because no one answered the door and there is a fence. Here’s the thing though, at that time I was sitting in our front room in front of the big picture window we have there. I never saw a truck stop in front of the house, I never heard a knock or doorbell ring, and never saw a mine walk two feet on front of me to spray underneath the picture window. Customer support said they couldn’t come back today, and basically said we’d have to call again to request an additional service. It’s a shame that this happened, because I’ve generally had good experiences with Aptive.
Sergio was very helpful, talking with me this morning about what we might need, any concerns, etc, before starting his quarterly service call. I mentioned that we were mostly fine, but hadnt been happy with several of the previous service calls lack of cleaning/sweeping of the eaves of the home. Several times spider webs and such had been left untouched after the service call. Id called in to mention it, left voicemail, and I may have emailed too; but never got a reply and also same continued to occur. Sergio was surprised and he made sure to note it for me in our account notes, and also went above and beyond to be thorough during his work today. Thanks Sergio.
A Representative came by today, Keith, to speak about the company and thsir special. Although, I ultimately decided not to use their services the technician was professional. Spoke to the point, was dressed appropriately, maintained a comfortable distance from my front door, and wasnt alarmed with my dogs. When I explained my reasoning for not wanting to purchase, he was pleasant and didnt force the conversation further. This made me want to learn about the company and keep them bookmarked in the event I decide to change companies.If only more solicitors acted this way.
Aptive Environmental has came twice. Today is the 3rd.time. I am not pleased with the service today. First of all, I did not receive any email notice that they will be arriving to service my house. They just showed up unannounced.Normally they asked if I want the inside.of my house to be treated and would let me.know when they are.finished.Today, the guy just rang my doorbell when he showed up and then he sprayed around the outside. The next time I checked where he is, the truck was already gone.He didnt ask if I need the inside to be sprayed and he didnt let me know that he has finished.
Great service. They come out in time. Always call to let you know there on there way. Very professional. Know there job when asking a question. I have had them for arrive for about two years. I like what they do. Good price compared to other bug spraying companies. AAA rating.
Free re service is always nice. employees are professional. support line staff(number of them/response time) leaves something to be desired. Ill chalk it up to the current pandemic. Have been great so far, pre-pandemic. Only complaints are the support line availability and the quarterly service that was supposedly completed but no one in the house noticed anyone doing so on that day with 4 of us here.Zane Smith was excellent during re service. thank you.

2022-04-26I shopped around for pest control for a while after moving into a neighborhood near a green belt with tons of bugs. Aptive was the best value considering they also treat the yard! Most other places charged around $100 extra for yard treatment. I love that they’ll do touch up appointments for free. The technicians that I’ve had are always super nice and respectful, calling to schedule service is a breeze too. My yard and home is bug free! I have never had any billing issues, I’m always billed accurately after my appointment is completed. The payment is auto drafted from my account so I don’t even have to worry about it. I have a dog and 2 cats in the home and no one has had any reactions or sickness after treatment. I keep my dog inside for a few hours after they do the outside since it’s usually wet for an hour or two.

2022-07-09I have Aptive quarterly service for almost 2 years now and during the 2 years any roach I’ve seen around our house has been a dead one which is the only good kind. The sprays they use are pet-friendly and our pup can go back outside in 20-30 minutes after the service. The Aptive staff are super friendly and professional.

2022-09-15I had a new lawn put in on that day and he explained how it wouldnt kill my grass, explained about the bugs, etc. Was able to answer and HAD the answers to all of my questions. Was very professional, very helpful, and spoke very highly about the company and how they worked. 2022-08-13I submitted for a services quote, next thing I get is a notice of treatment. I called the number and talked to three separate service representatives to try to cancel the services and I stated to them that I never signed a contract or approved any services to be rendered. The third service representative told me that I had to speak to a Loyalty representative to cancel my 24 month commitment; 22 minutes later Im still on hold. Bad business practices.

2022-09-02Aptive manages our home pest control and has for years now. Weve had several other business before them, but continued to find scorpions, roaches, spiders, wasps and the other usual nuisance pests in and around our home. With Aptive we are completely pest-free, even in the nooks and crannies of my garage, my downstairs outdoor bar, and attic! On-time, text notifications to give me heads up to bring pets inside, and very professional/courteous with my wife and I when they are here for service. Fantastic service and company! I very highly recommend!

2022-05-13Friendly people but the sales person was dishonest and not transparent about cancelation charges and a 12 month contract. I specifically asked about those two terms and he straight up lied to my face. The tech coming to do the job the next day was honest and she deserves credit for being a honest employee, didn’t know about those terms until the tech mentioned it. Never tried the service because of the salesman being dishonest.

2022-05-17Disrespectful and aggressive sales people still ring your doorbell even if you have a No Solicitation sign clearly posted next to said doorbell...If your sales pitch starts by disrespecting my clearly posted request Im not sure why you would think Im going to trust Aptive with pest control. Maybe I would have chosen them for pest control but now I have an extremely negative view of the company and will not be shy in warning my neighbors about this disrespect.The ringing doorbell not only interrupted me during my workday but also woke up both my children while napping. No trustworthy company would/should act this way.
