This review is to warn musicians with fine instruments to avoid this place. We had taken a Martin 0000-28 to have it cleaned up and set up to play ragtime guitar. When we took the guitar we were treated secondarily to people coming in to buy vaping products, even to those arriving after we came in. After waiting almost 30 minutes, the tech finally looked at the guitar while I reported what I wanted the guitar to do. He replied that most players want the strings lowered a much as possible. I responded that this specific guitar was going to be used for finger picking, jazz blues and ragtime guitar, and also had taken a set of expensive strings. He did not jot down any notes on what I wanted, but did receive a receipt with a $60 estimate.When we called several days later to inquire on the status of our guitar, man reported guitar was ready. After arriving after work and beating traffic, I simply opened the case, paid the man, but did not scrutinize it, in blind faith, until I arrived home. To my dismay, I noticed the strings had not been changed, the oxidation on the frets was not cleaned, the neck was not adjusted, and action was the same as when taken in. The man had simply hung the guitar on the rack and did absolutely no work on the guitar.I still get a sick feeling in my gut every time I pick up the Martin and feel robbed of $60 plus $10 for the strings by this gas piper. Perhaps he only works well with entry level or intermediate instruments. How could he recall what I wanted as he had not taken any notes; he did not listen. This man is not honest and vaping is his business, not guitar work. He has no credentials. Ask him where he learned to work on guitars. You will be very disappointed with his reply. I was robbed, heed this warning.

Repair for 100 and buying tube and pre amp and install for 165 whole total 265 only and great services and this guy doing awesome job done!!! Whenever I need to fix or reinstall tubes for my blackstar Ht club 40 combo I differently come this plac e. this place is my spot to come from now on. VERY trusted and very affordable price!! if anyone looking for fair price and great work then this repair place Is for you! I STRONGLY Recommend!! 265 total for repair,buy tubes and preamp tube and swapping all cost 265. I cant give enough stars so I give extra 5🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 so total 10🌟positive stars. John worked very hard on my Rocktron Vendetta 100 amp head . He fixed my amp head to restoration pretty much and fix a torn tolex issue I had with it . It looks good and sounds fantastic! I am very confident with the work he has done and I hope I can continue to do business with him in the future!

We found John on google! VERY PLEASED!! Beautiful Work. Took my 13 yr olds acoustic guitar to be re-strung. He replaced broken tuners. He also reccomended re-conditioning it, glad he did. I paid John to set up my guitar. He returned it with metal filings stuck to the magnets on my pickups and lemon oil wasnt wiped off. To be blunt, my guitar looked dirty after John handled it. Additionally, when I picked up my guitar there was buzzing all over the fretboard. I brought my guitar back and he tried tweaking it, but it didnt make much of a difference. My guitar sounded worse after he set it up. Very bad experience overall. John is a nice guy but I wont be having him set up anymore of my guitars.

I bought a Fender Jaguar brand new from Guitar Center (and when I say brand new, I mean shipped from Fender with me being the first person to open the box, not brand new off the wall after shoppers have played with it). Out of the box, the action was set too high, the intonation was way off, and the nut grooves were too small. Worst of all, the tremolo was essentially useless as the guitar would go way out of tune even at the slightest use of it.Well, I brought it to this place after reading the reviews, and Id just like to say that not only was John very professional and a pleasure to work with, he did an excellent job tuning up my brand new guitar. Not only does the improved action make it play like butter, but I can now max out the tremolo in either direction and it stays in tune. Very happy with this service!

John is awesome at what he does. Honest, quick, and most importantly, he does great work! He installed new pickups and set up an old Kent guitar I had and then assembled and set up a new neck on an old Peavey bass. Couldnt be more pleased! Will be making this my go-to guitar repair and setup shop from now on!

John has helped me out with two guitars and an amp repair and has been nothing but knowledgeable and punctual. Before he did any work, he let me know what was going on and how much the cost would be and turn around is super quick. Great place for any guitar/amp set up and repair!

This is not a guitar repair shop; it is a guitar rip shop. Through a live and learn experience, were compelled to inform you that if you have a fine instrument, these vapers will gas you. A guitar set up consists of turning the truss rod and nothing else for $60 plus taxes. Were taking all of our instruments to Kerrys, a certified Martin authorized facility. Kerry is a luthier, not a hack. Trust us!
