Aspen Dental in other cities:
Came here hopefully looking for a permanent dentist I could trust. Well, after getting a few fillings ( which the process was horrible ) I still feel pain SEVERAL weeks after . I came back and was told that during the procedure something wasnt put on the tooth before the fillings. I guess to kill the bacteria , well anyway Ive had previous fillings done and never felt any pain. I was told they could be re- done . Like are you serious I have to go through hell again because of a mistake yall made and not to mention still pay FULL PRICE?? And to make it worse they dont call to check on you and see if everything is getting better but will force a payment! This office is ridiculous. The only one that seemed to know what she was doing was the X-ray girl and the Hygienist. Other than that save your time and money, and go elsewhere. Unfortunately I will never come back and will find another place that actually cares and takes their time.
Had a root canal and crown done by Aspen dental as well as a cleaning. They have done a remarkable job! Staff are very polite and make sure you are not in any discomfort. They really care and follow up after appointments. Their level of care and organization is fantastic! Thank you Aspen Dental at Stone Osk!
Had my crown put in this past Monday by Dr. Obah at Aspen Dental. Everything went well, great, and Im doing fine. Awesome Dentist. I had a minor issue with stain on another tooth, and she asked the hygienist to take care of it; the stain is gone. The hygienist did a great job. Happy.
One of the best ASPEN dental team you could wish for! And Ive been to 3 different ASPEN dental clinics in 3 different states. From dental assistant, manager, dental hygienist, and Dr. Obah. Everyone is very professional and explained what needs to be done before doing it so you know what to expect. AND, Samantha is an excellent dental hygienist. Kudos to everybody!!
Best dental experience I have ever had. The staff at Aspen Dental (Stone Oak) were fantastic, knowledgeable, honest and very welcoming. I had not been to the dentist for a long time due to having three kids and making sure they had their dental needs taken care of prior to mine. I was extremely impressed with the financial portion of the visit in which they actually explained everything to you after the dental asst and dentist made their assessment. I was able to read all the documents and ask questions about which direction to go with regard to my dental needs based on priority and financial status. I was able to have a wisdom tooth extracted that day at a very affordable price. The process was very easy and the dentist was the best dentist I have ever seen. She was very knowledgeable, kind, and made me very comfortable talking to me while conducting the procedure. I would rate my experience as a 10 out of 10. Also they were open on Saturday and I was able to set up my appointment online via their website. The tooth pain I was having was extreme and within a short amount of time I was pain free. I had read the reviews prior to selecting Aspen Dental and the reviews were right on point. If you need a dentist look no further than Aspen Dental. I am so impressed that I told all my friends and they are going to start going to Aspen Dental. L. Vela
My best friend, Hector had his teeth cleaned & whitened here & they did an amazing job! I looked at his mouth & said I want mine to look like that! Haha! & my experience was everything he said it would be! Rayka, the hygienist is incredible, she is so thorough! & Dr. Obah is absolutely amazing! Taylor was very welcoming & their staff is the best! I would recommend this location to anyone & everyone! I can’t wait to go back for my whitening! 🦷
Beware- They aggressively push a $1200+ gum therapy treatment and will literally not proceed with any dental care (basic cleaning included) unless you shell out the money. Unimpressed with this companies practices. They still denied me a basic cleaning even when offering private pay. The staff were friendly and pleasant but sadly that didnt change the disappointment at the end of the appointment. :(Yes I called the number below given to me and no resolutions were made.
I’ve had the best experience ever. I hate going to the dentist and Doctor Obha and my dental hygienist Reeka actually made me feel Comfortable. They found a great solution to my dental health and I’m so happy with the results. We have a plan and working together to get my teeth back to as healthy as it can be. I couldn’t be happier.
My first visit was very positive overall. The staff were courteous and the various procedures seemed to be done competently. My proposed treatment plan was printed out and explained in an easily understood fashion. The only negative experience was a somewhat excessive wait time for the dentist to see me once I was in the operatory.
From the lovely front desk receptionist to the sweet lady that did my X-rays to the office manager, WOW! Thank you for making my wife and I feel welcomed. Dr. Camp was just awesome! She went above and beyond to ensure I felt as comfortable as possible because I had a lower back ache prior to my extraction operation. She provided over-the-counter medicine to counter my back pain and provided rolled up towels to ensure my comfort. I had a phenomenal experience with this Aspen Dental location! Dr. Camp had a very soothing voice as well as she was singing along with the music they were playing during my operation. She even did more than what was originally scheduled!!! I needed a ton of dental work to be done and she ended up completing 5 fillings and an extraction (that literally took her 2 minutes to complete) in one visit! I sincerely appreciate you all. I hope you all apply the same approach and treatment to every customer, as building rapport is as important, if not more important than the nitty gritty business! Please keep up the outstanding work! Highly recommended!!!
Yesterday morning I woke up in extreme pain with very bad facial swelling due to a broken and infected tooth. Aspen was the only place I could find that would take me the same day, with no insurance, and that would work with me on payments. Everyone in the Stone Oak office was absolutely AMAZING. Every person I talked to was very sympathetic, every person that had to put their hands in or near my mouth was SO gentle, and a very detailed treatment plan was given in record time. When it came down to affording the treatments I NEEDED to get me out of pain, they made SURE that I wasn’t going to leave without them, no matter what. On top of alllllll of that, let me just say that I have never been a fan of dentists... I get very, very anxious and tend to freak out. Dr. Camp was seriously the best dentist I’ve ever had. She made me as comfortable as possible, soothed me while I started to panic, and made quick work of what she had to do. I’m forever grateful for the Aspen team I encountered yesterday and how much they genuinely care and I would 1,000% recommend them for anyone needing dental work, especially if finding someone to take you without insurance is an issue for you!
They are very thorough in their exams. They really take their time with you and go into great detail about what is going on. They do a bunch of different x-rays to make sure they don’t miss anything. Everyone is really nice and are really there for the patients. Aspen Dental makes you forget you are at the dentist.
Third time being there in 2 months. Was having a tooth extracted that required an oral surgeon. Staff seemed unnecessarily catty with one another no matter the proximity to clients or if within ear shot. There’s a certain level of decorum that should be a requirement to maintain while servicing the public. Especially, since it’s the foundation of customer service. It’s simply common sense that it would be expected.
I called several times to make sure my appointment was covered by insurance to make sure i would not have a balance. Twice now, two appointments, they have told me i was covered and do the work and then AFTER completing they tell me i owe a big balance!!!!! As a single mother and a disabled vet its a huge deal to know price first. Some of us cant afford sudden bills. It was not a great experience. People are very nice but this is frustrating.
Everybody was very friendly. The building itself was sanitary and overall very clean. All my needs and questions were addressed. They explained everything that needed to be done in great detail and were very patient in answering my many questions. Their doctor was gentle when examining me. Their hygienist was was very kind and talkative while taking x-rays and such. Their front desk personnel was great as well, she did a lovely job helping me with the pricing and scheduling etc. and because they all made me feel so comfortable being there I have now scheduled all further treatment needed there. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! 👍🏼
Can I just start off by saying the staff is amazing at this clinic !!! They made me feel comfortable and not judged by my messed up teeth ! They take the time to go over everything with you . The Dr... Dr.Camp is amazing and she is very welcoming . She try’s her best to make sure you aren’t in any pain and she lets you know the experience before you endure it . The dental assistants make you feel important. They take the time to know your face and your name ! The financial assistances are really knowledgeable and will cover all the details with you so you aren’t missing anything and get you the best deals. overall if you want a get dentist that you can feel great going to ... this is the place I am so happy that I switched to aspen :) I feel like family :)
Ive had such a great experience here. The dental hygienist was super comforting and all around great. The staff is super friendly its evident that their patients are their number one priority. The dentist is amazing! Hes never in a rush, super friendly, goes at your pace and continuously makes sure youre okay along the way. This has been the best dental place I have ever been to and would recommend it to anyone!
I had a very positive experience at this clinic. Everyone was cheerful and seemed knowledgeable in doing their job. Even though I knew there was a lot of difficult work to do the doctor was right on top of everything and walked me through a plan of care. I may not look forward to the treatment plan we will follow but I cant think of any better people to lead me through the care process. Keep smiling everyone.... I know you will lead the way for me.
This is the place to have your teeth worked on. I have never been treated as well as I was at this Aspen. To Dr Camp, Dr Long and all the staff, thank you so much for being polite, patient and willing to get my teeth fixed. I will recommend your office to all who are in need of dental work. Keep up the outstanding care you provide.
Staff was extremely friendly. Hygienist is the best Ive ever encountered. Dentist and support staff always put your comfort and convenience first. This is the best dental experience Ive encountered. As long as I live in the SA area, I will never go to another location. The crown I received is phenomenal! It doesnt get any better than this. I highly recommend this specific Aspen Dental location, no matter where you live in SA or surrounding communities; its absolutely worth the drive! Even if other dental offices are closer, pass them by and come here. You will not regret your decision!!!
I love Aspen Dental, every visit I’ve had has been amazing. My recent visit 08/12. Samantha has been the best hygienist by far that I have has the pleasure of meeting. Super professional, friendly and would tell me everything that she was about to do. Super Awesome ! Thank you Samantha and thank you Aspen ! 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Made me feel @ ease the moment I walked in the door. Everyone was absolutely wonderful, introduced themselves, I felt right @ home. When I met with the Dentist, she explained everything in detail. I left there feeling like I had made new friends. The other thing I liked I they asked me what I wanted done & how I would make any changes, they listened to me. That is so important. I definitely recommend Aspen Dental to everyone. Im so glad I found them.
I was able to make an appointment on the same day. The staff were friendly and professional. Dr. Camp, the dentist was awesome!! She was very personable and explained each procedure. She had a wonderful rapport with her staff and she was very encouraging. I was even able to have a root canal done later the same day which corrected my toothache!
I was shocked and upset, at first, about the exrays and blood pressure check. I was a new customer, on vacation, and only needed a broken tooth replaced, I broke it on our way to Texas.I was taken aback when the dentist brought in her manager, that was strange. My overall experience past that was great. Everyone was friendly and so helpful. Will I recommend Aspen Dental.....I already have. When I get ready for a new top denture, bottom teeth extracted, and a denture to be put in, I will go to Aspen Dental. Highly impressive and so clean. They went out of their way for me and I will return that favor.I have had my bottom denture for about six months. Hate them! Went to a different Aspen Dental in Missouri and he made my top denture worse!! They stick out to far and are to long forMy mouth. Went back to Texas, the one that did my dentures, after several attempts and many trips, they never could get them right. I gave up. Hate both upper and lower now. I take back my recommendation. My advice to anyone is TAKE CARE OF YOUR BOTTOM TEETH!! Ask around and find a good dentist. One that isn’t Aspen Dental.
Dr.Camp and her entire team at Aspen Dental are the very BEST.My first time to the office and I was greeted with a friendly Hello from Bethany and then TROY was super awesome and friendly with the X-Rays and then Rekha was very professional while examining my Gums and then my visit with Dr. Camp was awesome!!!Dr. Camp is professional and SUPER nice. She has the best personality of any doctor I have encountered and I truly appreciate her sincerity when taking care of my teeth.I 100% Absolutely Positively Whole Heartedly Recommend Dr. Camp and her team for your dental needs.
The staff was extremely helpful, explained everything for me, and showed genuine concern to my healthcare needs. They all made me feel relaxed, honestly showed me they cared, and were sensitive to my apprehension towards having to be at the dentist in general which went a long way. For the first time ever, I began to feel comfortable and trusted that my dental care is in the right hands.
I was terrified of dentist I had not seen one in many years just because of fear but wow Troy who first examined me was truly amazing, encouraging and really made me trust him and I had one of the best experience ever at a dentist I need work to be done on my teeth for a while and I’m not terrified at all anymore I’m just excited to get my healthy teeth back.Thank you again and the doctor, the hygienist and the secretary it was a wonderful experience.
10 teeth pulled the procedure went so well she is so gentle felt hardly any pokes to get numb once ready went fast and she was always making sure all my needs handled went home with a great care package and great verbal and care tips information sheet. once home with my pain meds on standby a little bleeding but almost no pain more like a mouth guard on my teeth. Dr. And the whole staff worked really hard to get my mouth in healthy and eating order. So for that I thank them all so very much. See you for my follow up tomorrow. Thanks
I had a pleasant experience from the first contact by phone all the way through the whole process until walking out the door with a nrw set of dentures. I was treated by friendly professionals. They really mean it when they say We are gonna take care of youThere offer several options . I would recommend them to anyone with dental issues
The staff was wonderful and prompt! I was in so much pain and they were able to see me the same day as well as do my extraction the same day! They are even able to transfer my x-rays and records to my local branch for a follow up visit and any additional dental care. Thank you so much for being awesome and friendly and for being able to get me squared away! I appreciate yall!
Visited for the first time...the service I received was exceptional. I drove 50 miles and it was well worth it. I had severe tooth pain and exams showed I needed immediate care...Dr. Camp and staff (Rekha, Tylin, Arianna, Tray, Emily, and Corey) worked to get me scheduled immediately for extractions and worked with me to schedule follow up care. I had walked in with extreme pain and headaches and walked out pain free. Many thanks to Dr. Camp and staff. I will definitely be happy to drive 100 miles round trip to be in their hands.
Front desk staff was not friendly, billing staff gave so many dollar amounts she came across as shady. My daughter called to talk about how much it would be and she was given different amounts. The dentist and back office staff were great, friendly, nice and explained things.
At checkup, doctor left several times leaving me to wait. At my temp crown appointment the doctor didnt really explain anything to me, but knew Id never had this done before. I had questions, and I feel he and his assistant were not very pleasant. Yesterday, I called to verify if the crown was in and to confirm my 7pm appointment for tomorrow. Was told crown should be in next morning, and appointment is still good. Today, for my appointment for 7pm for my perm crown, they didnt have my 7pm appointment in the books - although its clearly written on an Aspen card, and they offered to squeeze me in. The office manager Megan is super nice, but she wasnt there to assist me today. I feel that other patients who are scheduled for lesser services (cleanings/checkups, etc.) should be bumped so that I can get in at my scheduled time, since the office screwed up. Ive been in pain since Jan. 21st, and this is unacceptable in my opinion.
My first visit was yesterday for me and my son. Unfortunately once they have your insurance information like many places you just become a number on a sheet of paper. My insurance covers no out of pocket expense for me and my son for 1 set of xrays and 2 cleaning each year. however they will up sell you. One they will most likely say you have something that insurance will not fully cover. In my case gingivitis. In which they said will need special paste and flush of gum for 2 teeth. Really with some extra attention to floss and some wash will take care. The girl at the front desk I think spends more time worrying about looking like a rock star than worrying about patients especially when asked to explain the billing. The actual dentist was a nice lady very friendly but of course doesnt handle the billing. Also was the hygienist that recommended the special cleaning for gingivitis and not the dentist. They will also want to up sell you to get cancer screen with special light.I will definitely be looking to move to a different dentist next time.
I went to this dentist to have a filling replaced that fell out and a basic cleaning covered by my insurance. I walked out with them saying I need $700 in work (after insurance). This included a deep cleaning that needed 4 appointments and 7 cavities. They also proceeded to charge me for a $100 electronic toothbrush after just mentioning it to me casually in the appointment. I was so confused since I had never had anything near that before. I asked for them to please just to do a basic cleaning and fill my cavity but they refused without the “deep cleaning”. (Because my insurance covers normal cleanings and majority of a filling) I decided to refuse treatment from Aspen with much trouble from the hygentist making me feel like my teeth were going to fall out if I didn’t get the deep cleaning.I ended up driving 3 hours to go to my dentist I had been to the past few years. My other dentist looked in my mouth and laughed after I told him about the charges Aspen was trying to push on me. I ended up having the 1 cavity & one more that was barely anything. So 2 cavities and a normal cleaning....Laughable compared to the 7 cavities and deep cleaning at over $700.Save yourself a ton of money and pain and stay away from this place. Yes, they seem nice and caring but they are NOT looking out for the best for you. I’ve never felt so pressured to buy something. I’m so glad I got a second opinion and professional treatment in the end.
I called ahead concerning an emergency , while trying to explain the excruciating pain i was in, the representative was still trying to get information on who else in the house needed dental care, after trying to interject the severity of my pain, she responded, oh Dear, I didnt realize it was that bad, not just because Im going to be 60 this year but having a 20 year old refer to me as Dear, take some points off for professionalism . I was given a time to be there, reiterating , several times, I dont want medicine , I have been on antibiotics for 7 days, please dont waste my time, I just want this tooth pulled. Well we showed up 30 minutes early as was requested and sat for an hour . When other patients starting coming in is when we actually saw that someone besides the receptionist worked there. The dentist looked petrified , Im not quite sure if it was the idea of her pulling a tooth herself or if she was so nervous about getting the whole script out correctly, either way all I can say is look out used car salespeople ,theres a new sheriff in town, and I say, I say , its called Aspen dental . Buyer beware, please read all tiny details.
Took my mother here, everyone was so friendly and understanding. Not as clean or sterile as I would have preferred but they worked with our self paying payments and the hygienist was so gentle with her dental issues. Dr. Camp was very understanding as well and explained throughly.
I called 3 times to up date my insurance information and receive a new estimate for the services needed and for some reason it was never saved. I was also told I would receive a email or a call back from the office manager and never did get that. Pretty upset because I liked both dentists that I’ve seen so far. I really wish Meagan and the other two people I spoke with would have just updated the information right then and there like they said they would.
Hate to admit it - but i actually looked forward to our visits. The professionalism was bar-none and the staffs friendliness and attitude were contagious.I entered with trepidation and left with a smile - Thanks to all the people at This clinic - and if the rest of Aspen Dental can measure up to them - what a great place it would be to associate with.
The reason for my visit was NOT the main concern of the office staff in (1604 & 281) San Antonio,TX. Literally, it was the last issue addressed after keeping me there for over two hours, and I insisting in addressing my concern. I was there for an extraction, however there were more concerned in selling me a dental program with an initial quote of $4,332. Needless to say, I left the office with no extraction.Even though, I could see their modus operandis immediately, I know I need more dental work and explained my plan to the office manager. I asked several times about discounts for patients with no dental insurance, she just gave a financing option. Nevertheless, now I am getting emails offering 25% discounts.P.S. The only reason I gave them 2 stars is because they were friendly.
All personnel are personable, including the doctor. The office does not have a clinical feel to it at all--very comfortable atmosphere and environment. Everyone there was very thorough in whatever they were doing, and communicated very clearly and completely. All questions were answered competently, and there were no dumb questions.
I cannot recommend this office to anyone. The Dentist was rude and never introduced himself to me when he came in to check my issue. He was very short with his assistant which I felt was unprofessional. There are 2 other offices in the San Antonio area visit one of them. Since I was in town visiting and my dentist is with Aspen Dental in Prescott, AZ I had to go to this office because it was closer to where I was staying. It was a nightmare! It wouldnt post my review unless I gave it one star.
I take the 5 stars back! Very very unfortunate that the “billing” messed up on my verification of benefits. Thanks for telling me a lie after the other. Pleased by the service but now I’m paying for $1300 in a loan for services plus added a $900 bill that is for non covered service. My insurance told me that the office didn’t verify my insurance or no record to attempt. Thought this dental office was more honest at getting my benefits right but didn’t. So if anyone is going to get any service done by them I suggest that you ask if your insurance is verified if not they’ll add whatever they want. Never going again luckily went elsewhere.
Doctors/hygienist and medical professional are good but the billing staff is horrible. First they are rude and second my insurance has been asking for dental records and has sent at least a couple of mails. I myself have called the aspen dental office twice to request sending the documentation over to my dental insurance as they needed the information to cover the costs to no avail. Insurance tells me they can send the documents just the way they sent the invoice but aspen dental billing & record staff tells me they cannot. My insurance has been good so far with claims from other dental providers. Not to mention I was told a out of pocket charge for x, and then charge for x+y. I will not go here again. - Neeraj
Terrible experience. I arrived at 8:30 for a simple cleaning and left at 11 without any cleaning because they said I was a new patient and they wanted to be thorough...I sat in the chair for an hour after xrays and gum readings without anyone seeing me. Completely inefficient office with no respect for the patient’s time.
Amazing service! Bethany and the entire team here were so friendly and professional and went way out of their way to make me comfortable and accommodate me & my baby. They were very thorough and helpful in everything from the consultation to the treatment plan and pricing. Thanks guys!
Had an infectious tooth extracted, bone graft and a partial denture upgraded. I am VERY VERY please with the result. Dr. Camp is a wonderful dentist. Her skills and confidence in knowledge have made me feel comfortable and trust. Tron is so good in assisting Dr. Camp. I am honor to have such a team helping me. And a cheerful clinic, everyone working so well together in helping me with the administrative process.Thank you everyone!!! I lost my smile; I,now, found it again. Whoopy!!!
My name is James Belcher and I recently walked in to the 1604 address in San Antonio as a new patient. I was having difficulty with my 17 year old full upper denture. I explained that I would soon be leaving town for a vacation and that I needed my old set fixed. I met Dr. Shastri who was very nice and professional who advised that a new upper would be advisable,to which l agreed. To my surprise and happiness I was fitted and received the denture the next day. I cannot say enough praise for the entire staff, Dr. Shastri, Joe(dental assistant), Megan(office mngr), for their kindness and courtesy. My wife is so impressed she has informed me of her plans to possibly switch dentistry to this office. Thank you.
My only advice is please make sure you call a week before and confirm your appointment. I made mine online and when it was time for my appointment I was not on the schedule and they could not work me in. Ive been waiting more then 2 weeks for this, so I just went to 7 to 7 Dental they take walk ins (best place anyone can go to).
Not my best Aspen visit. I had a confirmed appointment set from 9am. While driving to this location, I received a text saying they couldnt wait to see me at 10am 🙄 I called and told them I was on my way for my 9am appointment and they said it wouldnt be a problem. I got here 15 min prior to my appointment to fill out paperwork. It has now been 1 hour of sitting in the waiting room and I have yet to be called in for my appointment that was scheduled an hour ago. Im frustrated to say the least. If you cant take in certain patients until a certain time because of the lack of staff, please, dont schedule me for any time before that.
I am not sure I ever had a dentist appointment like this before! Due to Covid I missed my yearly check up and cleaning.... made an appointment here being new to the area for a cleaning and check up and on got a check up and X-rays and told to come back to get the cleaning and start treatment plan.... this place is a scam!!!!
It was a TERRIBLE experience, to say the least. Had an appt. first thing 8AM and first of the day and first time to the office.Scheduled an appt. there because the preferred office of care had no appt. available. While waiting half an hour 8:30AM now, I confirm with the front desk whether all files have been trasfered over from the in-network office already having all X-rays. They cinfirmed yes, everythings been transfered over. While waiting for the dentist, in the operating chair, for a filling they say it will be moments longer, theyre transferring your records over. The office dr dentist, dr Sashtri, more like a shadowing student who doesnT know WHAT hes doing comes in, without salutation or good morning and begins asking questions. So I initiate the patient-care customer service first instead.I came in for a simple fallen filling, that previous Dentists left seamless and unoticable which tooth its been applied to. Just from his attitude, cutting you off while trying to explain what youve come in for (they should already know) and yawning in your face, I shouldve known and Cancel right then and there. For a simple filing, he gouged against my gums as if it was an extraction, perfusly replacing cotton rolls to subside the bleeding. All while talking down to the young lady dental assistant, handing him his hacking and gouging tools at the gum area for a simple filling. He talked down to her as if shes a little devious child, dont do that, do this, never do that, always do it like this between pauses and very awquard and unprofessional. After he finished, it looked like I came in for an extraction! And he says, let it heal for 2 to 3 weeks... and come back to see me in two weeks, it might come off. I had to get a laugh out of that! Why am I here in the first place! The elderly lady in the next room exclaims, do I HAVE to get this tooth removed?! He replies let me check, NOT sure of his first assessment.Unprofessional, treats office workers/subordinates as slaves, and how he made it through Dental School or is still practicing medicine, I dont know. But I do know why the office had availability. NEVER going back! Nor should you go. Many great dentists out there! Stay away!
Horrible service, i was told i have a root canal and 7 cavities and needed periodontal cleaning so they gave me a 2000$ quote with my insurance. Then they sold me a toothbrush and then I went for second opinion else where and was told i only had 2 cavities and nothing else was wron. Not only that I was send to collections which i never was aware of because i had insurance then when I called they said sorry there was an error in our billing...my credit was already screwed. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND coming here they will try to juice every dollar out of you for something you probably dont even have.
Was there for 2 1/2 hrs. I went to get a 2nd opinion on some work i needed done and waited an hr just to have the dr come in for 5 min. Then to see a hygienist for 1-2 min.. out of the 2 1/2 hrs i was there only 15 min was i being worked on or spoken to. The rest of the time i was waiting in the chair... i fell asleep twice from how long they took. Kept getting told the dr will be with you shortly didnt realize shortly meant an hr + long. Apart from that i was told no charge because im a new pt and all i was getting done was theirs own set of xrays because they wouldnt except the ones i had done 2 days before. Then they come and tell me i will be charged $80 for todays visit...for what!?!?! They did NO CLEANING OR ANYTHING! I was going to be charged for sitting in a chair for 2 hrs. Ridiculous! They should be open 24 hrs since they wanna take so long.
Very friendly staff and clean office, but WOW. I asked for an itemized statement of our treatment plan and called around because it seemed ridiculously high. I stopped after 2 offices told me they padded our bill with a minocycline derivative called Arestin that doesnt work, and is extremely expensive. There were maybe 8 charges ranging between $81 and $150 for EACH Arestin line on the statement. One office said it was unethical. Buyer beware!
I was in the waiting for 15 minutes, got my xrays, and in the chair. Thats when things broke down. My wife had arrived an hour before me and was still waiting to be seen by anyone. Someone came to see me, and then i waited for an hour. Not a very professional group. I know they are a group practice, maybe another location has their affairs in order.

2022-08-04Well my experience with the Dentist and hygienist were great. I feel they did a great job. They were very nice and explained everything in detail. I just think you need to hire a few more staff members because I think people shouldn’t have to wait hrs after they have an appointment. I think to many appointments are being booked for the staff to handle. Besides that. It’s a great place.

2022-03-30The staff at 1803 N Loop 1604 E. San Antonio, TX was absolutely fantastic. The appointment times were very schedule friendly. The reception was very personal & professional. Once the assessment was made the Office mgr. Taylor did a fantastic job, creating a plan at a very affordable price that has made this visit to the dentist quite remarkable. I will definitely use them for all of my dental work & refer all of my friends.

2022-07-26Ive been coming here for YEARS, and I really dont know why. I figured out that this is a stepping stool for dentists before they get their own practice, which is why I never seem to see the same person twice.I had a tooth crowned, but they didnt take an imprint of my tooth before hand, so I have this weird shaped lump that has a huge gap between the next tooth where food loves to get stuck. Its this lovely BRIGHT WHITE that doesnt match any of my other teeth.I had my front tooth chipped 25 years ago. The filling lasted 25 years! I decided to get it touched up. IT LASTED 5 DAYS!!!!!Time to find an old school dentist.

2022-07-13Hands down, the absolute BEST experience this 50 year old has ever had! Full disclosure. I procrastinate when it comes to dental care. I feel embarrassed that I havent kept up with all my dental appointments, follow ups etc. Im to blame for this disaster of a train wreck mouth! A recent transplant from Southern California (totally wish I was born and raised here in Texas-Southern hospitality at its finest!). My past experiences have always been uncomfortable speaking to staff, the dental manager, and the dentist. I have to invest in complete full upper and lower implants. Regular dentures will poise an issue for me personally and I want the stability of either 4 on 1 or permanent upper and lower implants. After scouring the internet reading reviews, looking into the education of the dentists, experience etc., I saw Aspen Dentals reviews from their 1803 N 1604 location. Personally, I dont read 5 star reviews for a reason. I wanted to take 2-4 stars and average the pros and cons (1 Star reviews typically are of persons that are extremely angry and rarely express the actual issue. Rather, just post a negative comment in hopes of retaliating). That said, I clicked on the appointment site and chose a day and time that would fit into my hectic schedule. The very next day, I received a call from the office manager Sara. Sara asked very detailed questions, explained the process, answered all of my questions, and is very empathetic to my situation. I needed to extract teeth 21-27 (YIKES I know!). Sara confirmed the appointment and I went into the office the following morning. I was greeted so warmly by Monica at the front desk. Monica set my health questionnaire on a paperless iPad (amazingly easy and asks very detailed questions). Less than five minutes later, I was greeted by the Xray assistant (I honestly didnt catch her name because I was so embarrassed of my current mouth and my mind sidetracked). She asked How long since your last dental checkup? and it had been over five years. She then said the kindest thing Well welcome back and were here to assist you with your dental care. Please dont feel embarrassed were here to assist you. I almost teared up (seriously). This office has the state of the art panoramic Xray machine(Kudos!). Took several Xrays and then was led into the examination room where the chairs are extremely comfortable and they have TVs set up so you can relax and watch something to distract your possible angst and to also show you the Xrays and answer any questions. Dr. Castillo then came in and introduced herself. Dr. Castillo is a ray of light and energy. Shes very thorough explaining the processes, options, and always asks if you have any questions. We made an appointment for later that same day to extract seven (count them SEVEN!) teeth. I retuned several hours later and Dr. Castillo made sure I was comfortable. She will consistently ask you if youre in pain (shes an excellent communicator and quite funny by the way). I dont mind injections and the only time needles bother me is when I have to have them inside my mouth. To be completely honest, Dr. Castillo is a superstar. I didnt even feel the injections. She gave me plenty of Novocain and extra time for it to fully numb my mouth. Im not exaggerating, five minutes later, I thought she was working on the first tooth, and ALL SEVEN WERE EXTRACTED!! did Dr. Castillo just play a jedi mind trick on me? I didnt feel ANYTHING. No pressure, no pain, and it happened so quickly I was dumbfounded. Kudos to you Dr. Castillo. You made my experience exceptional and I had to share this with others. GO TO THIS OFFICE!! You shall NOT regret it!Phillip, MBA

2022-03-07Made an appointment for routine teeth cleaning for my daughter, but instead of providing that simple service, Aspen Dental conducted dozens of X-rays and diagnostic procedures, which they talked my daughter into while I sat in the waiting area. I am sure the reimbursement from my MetLife plan will be much greater than than it teeth cleaning. Perhaps the staff who took the appointment misunderstood, but I doubt it

2022-06-27Worst communication in the medical field. From wrong appointment times to setting up financing with no scheduling. I learned my lesson with Aspen Dental and other chain dentists.

2021-12-07Today was my first time visiting Aspen Dental. The facility was clean. The check-in process was paperless and smooth. The staffs were insightful and friendly. During the consultation, my X-ray was displayed on a screen for me. This made it easy for me to follow the doctors explanation and ask any clarifying questions. Dr. Obah and her team are very knowledgeable and kind. I think I have found my new dental provider.

2021-04-17Aspen Dental really went above and beyond with me. After the recent incident that I experienced they were able to transfer the paperwork and give me a new dentist and location. Everyone was so kind! Extremely knowledgeable and informative about the entire process. From the hygienist explaining what she’s looking at and what the process to start the treatment to the dentist showing my on my x-rays different areas and what’s the game plan. I am definitely looking forward to start the plan and to be back soon. Thank you guys.
