The owner of this place is a joke. You will have nothing but a BAD experience if you book ANYTHING here. The clubhouse staff is rude. Although the scenery is nice, I highly recommend NOT booking any event here, as the stress caused (mainly by the owner) will totally ruin it. I have also heard from several friends in the area that the owner is a thorn in the communities side. Maybe it will get new management, or new ownership, but until then DO NOT book your function here.
The pace of play at this course is a complete mess. There are no marshals helping keep the course moving and there are three groups on a hole at a time on average. The course is in good condition other than the Chambers Bay like greens but I just can’t see myself playing here again after a 5 1/2 plus hour round.
Cant speak for the course itself so that is why this isnt a 1 star. But the Driving range needs work, everything needs to be updated badly if you are charging $15 for a medium bucket-If you are going to force people to use mats everyday of the year then there needs to be better mats. Some of that mats are not usable.-Range balls are in horrible condition. Lots broken or extremally dirty.-Also replacing the broken hook to hold the basket on the range ball machine would take like 5 minutes and $5 dollars.
My weekly foursome had already stopped playing at this club because of poor management, so it does not surprise me that they decided to further up the ante with the surrounding neighborhood by cancelling the fireworks show. I will join the boycott until management is changed. The course itself has already went significantly down hill over the last several years anyways. I guess that’s why they force people to pay no matter what once they have a tee time. Hopefully the parent company of this course reads these reviews and will strongly consider management change. Not only is it costing them lost revenue, but also reputational damages. I won’t play any of the other courses associated with this one as well, solely because of my distaste for ARGC.
Not a value, the green fee for non member is obnoxious. This is the Bed Bath and Beyond of golf courses. The regulars pay a fair punch card price while the uninitiated get overcharged. I think this location has enough demand to support prices but not worth the cost of 2 golfatx rounds. Front nine tougher than back. Definitely some fun holes but be prepared for very slow play. Course conditions are seasonally determined and unpredictable.
Course not in the best shape, especially for the price. Not a track that suits lefty draws or right slice players, also not a classic Texas course with large fairways, vast greens, and tons of green grass everywhere, more of a plink and plunk target golf course with mostly brown grass.Had two set of foursomes, 2 had to cancel last minute due to wedding commitments. Didnt seem like an issue when we checked in as the cashier in the pro shop said absolutely nothing about being charged for them not being there, which ended up being the case when I saw the extra $200 charge on my card two days later. There are unbelievably better courses for much less money in the same area.
First want to say nice club house friendly service I am avid golfer fairways are dry need work greens were great and kept up well pricing for green fees way to much 92.00. Pace of play was great no issues for example played at course in San Antonio was same pricing but the course was above and beyond fantastic get the course to that level then pricing would be ok just saying
No denying it…. I LOVE this course. However, the inflexible 24 hr cancellation policy is the worst customer Sercive move I can think of. In a time that gold courses are actually full, you are going to charge me for my son and I’s round when I had an actual emergency that precluded me from making my round.Shameful honestly.
The guys in the pro shop are awesome, friendly, professional, helpful, courteous, thank yall. A12 dollar increase in green fees come on , I could see a few bucks but 12 is pretty strong, pricing average guy out of this place, oh well, back to fishing, lol.p.s. the 5 stars still stand for the pro shop guys.
Great golf course for anyone. Challenging, but nice and long and well put together. Beautiful clubhouse and rental space for special occasions. Staff is incredibley accommodating and Scott Cory the PGA pro is am excellent individual to work with if your game needs some help. My son has done several lessons with him and Scott was great with him.
We had 2 foursome tee times and only had 6 show up. In these times of Covid you’d think there would be some sort of agreement that could have been come to, but no you guessed it. We were told “Management” has a policy that bookings must be paid in full. 6 players paying for 8 rounds. Still seems like a bad joke. I won’t be back
Course was in decent shape, pace of play was almost 5 hours. JD, the assistant golf pro, was an absolute jerk and made a very bad first impression. The starter also gave us a hard time when we were about to tee off. Would recommend going elsewhere so that you don’t have to deal with the rude staff.Update: I’ve called and left several messages, haven’t received a single call back. Like I mentioned above, go elsewhere and save yourself the hassle of dealing with the staff.
Seems the new management only cares about how many people they can get on the golf course in one day. When one of our foursome had to cancel due to his child being sick they tried to charge me for his absence. Then they had the nerve to tell us on the first tee to play ready golf. After 6 hours of playing waiting golf we finished our round. Its always been known as a 5 hour round but 6 was outrageous. The way they treat there guests and the length of the rounds had gotten out of hand, definitely not worth the money.
Nice, challenging course. Pace of play is unbelievably slow AND the course over books themselves. If your marshalls are not going to be out there holding people accountable to pace of play, then you need to spread out the tee times more. 9 minute increments are not good enough when the guys in front of you take 6 practice swings before hitting and then chunk it 6 yards in front of them over and over again. Also, don’t even bother contacting the pro shop about your concerns. They will act annoyed when you bring up the issue and offer nothing to make up for the poor experience. Do better. People pay their hard earned money for this.
Golf pace here is 5 hours plus and you will rarely see a beverage cart. Bunkers get in really bad shape as well.I was a players member for a long time and canceled but should have done so a long time ago. There system messed up my account and I brought this to their attention and was treated very poorly doing so.
I had a terrible experience with the owner himself. After being a family member for a year now, Adam Owen who is the owner forcefully terminated our membership after I have simply requested for a long overdue refund. I have never dealt with this kind of customer service before, and Ive heard countless of other people having terrible experiences with the management as well.
Our group would like a rain check for nine @Justin Larkin. It is a shame that at 800 PM on a beautiful Friday, with the course still packed, Avery Ranch staff turned the sprinklers on, cutting everyone’s round 30 minutes short. Your pro shop staff said I should bring it up with you, not the best customer service that day.Avery charges for no shows, and has a booking fee which is not the norm in Austin. I believe they should let everyone finish their round.Course is in great shape.
No communication to Players Club members on course status, despite Adam Owens claims. Try to find current info on their website. It doesnt exist. No emails to inform. Numerous members corroborate my experience. He is either a liar or a horrible administrator that does not verify what he thinks is happening. He wants no negative feedback. Does not want to change for the better. @GolfATX does so much better.
Terrible experience with booking a tee time online. The website uses the Golf Now platform and it glitches numerous times trying to book a tee time. I was finally able to make one and I received a single conformation email for ONE tee time. Turns out while the system was glitching it created more tee times for me that did not send confirmation emails. I played and paid the round I was confirmed for but also got charged from Golf now for this other reservation on the same day 15 minutes later then my actual time. Seems like an easy fix right?? It’s not, the pro shop is impossible to get ahold of after trying numerous times and leaving my number for a manager. I created a ticket with Golf Now support who said they would contact Avery Ranch, now they are saying it’s a valid no show charge?? Hello!!! Needless to say I fully expect it to get resolved eventually, but the pain and hassle this has caused will make me never want to play Avery Ranch again. Terrible service on something that should of been easily caught.... like when I checked in or with multiple conformation emails. Golf Now platform sucks for bookings and support. Avery Ranch doesn’t have time to talk to anyone on the phone at any day or time of the week
I had a terrible experience with the management. People should know how the management treat their own members. Rather than retaining members, the management constantly look ways to kick former members out and bring new members in for their initial contract fees. It’s unhealthy business practice.
An okay course, with some of the worst ownership possible who dont care to fix many of the ever-increasing problems. The bunkers are never in good shape. The pace of play is frustratingly slow no matter the time or day, and its always a rare sight to see a marshal out there. I would only recommend this course as a last resort to anyone looking to play in the Austin area.
Had a booking issue arise today 8/8/21 as we were set to tee off at 1:39. When I called few hours before we were set to tee off just to make sure we would be there at the right time, they had no record of our booking in their system. It was frustrating at first but they immediately took care us! Big shoutout to Grayson and the manager, Brandon. They were courteous and professional and even managed to squeeze us in around the same time we thought we were teeing off. This type of service is what sets Avery Ranch apart from other courses in the area.
I played yesterday, Course was great staff was great carts are great, $8.53 dollars for hot dog and $8.63 dollars for a shooter of whiskey is way over the top I would expect people to bring there own shooters at that price making a profit is understandable but gouging people is not, you guys buy those in bulk at less than 2 dollars a pop, everything else was outstanding I will be back.. 😃
I have played this course many times. Mainly for convenience. They always seem to have a hole under construction. Greens seem to be sanded alot. Members act like they are members of Augusta. It is a target type course so if you cant control the flight of your ball this wont work for you. If you can it will reward you.
Good luck actually talking to someone about private lessons let alone scheduling them. Called a week ago thinking I could schedule it over the phone but was told to email instead. No biggie, emailed and still have not heard back over a week later. Called again today to inquire why I still have not heard back and was told no one was available to talk or to schedule a private lesson and to try again in 10 minutes. Called again and was told no one was available and to call back in 1 hour; then the same thing 3 hours later. Beyond disappointing and a waste of time.
Made a tee time, plans changed so I canceled 28 hours (more than the 24 hours required). Pro shop confirmed later that I had been removed from the booking but their out-sourced reservation service charged me $71 for the privilege anyway. And for dispute resolution I was sent to some sock puppet named Cresto who has to go ask the owner but does not appear to be doing anything other than stalling me.I would rather golf in my backyard than give these shysters another nickel of my money. Decent course, friendly staff, owners appear to be criminals.
Please pay attention to membership policy, it needs 30 days notice for cancellation. It will charge another monthly payment after you cancel it.I joined membership for driving range but it was closed too frequently without any notice, you should call to this golf club every time before you visit here.
Joined this club back in October 2018 and I cannot begin to tell you what an incredible value & experience that it is. Terrific practice area, great pitching & practice greens & just an awesome staff. As a seasoned businessman I can almost tell you from the time I walk into a business what kind of personnel they have just by the interactions that I encounter. These guys & ladies who work there are ALWAYS in a positive frame of mind, ALWAYS cheerful and always interested in what they can do to help. Scott Cory & his staff of PGA professionals, including Todd & Franklin are awesome. And the outside guest services crew, Rich & Xavier & too many to mention are great guys. And I haven’t gotten to the golf course yet, which is perfect. It’s a great layout, requires you to hit the ball both ways, and is exquisitely maintained.Golf at Avery Ranch is a PLUS PLUS experience. I’d give it 10 stars if I could!
The Course was in great shape, but the pace of play was really slow. I was walking playing from the tips with three other players and we had to wait at least five minutes at each hole. You could not get a good rythm and it made every tee shot like the first shot of the day. If you dont mind waiting every hole its not a bad place to play if you pay the discount rate but for $91.00 you should not have to wait for anything. I will think twice before coming back.
Beautiful course that is challenging with the slopes and there are some holes that play long, but playing it several times has made me a better golfer. The fairways are average width, but there is plenty of brush and trees that will punish you if hit a bad shot. Green fees are expensive, but if youre a weekday golfer, you can get a good price at $30-40.I do agree with a couple of the other reviews that the pace of play can be long (on-time pace is 4.5 hours), which is why this place is a 4 star instead of a 5 star rating. The scramble tournaments I played in at Avery took about 6 hours and its rare to see a player assistant there to help speed things up. I usually avoid golf on the weekends in general, so I can imagine golf taking that long. The driving range is in good shape and the short game areas are well maintained, which I usually come for to work on my game. Off the top of my head, the small bucket is $8 and the large one is $13, so the prices are average to the Austin area. The balls are not the heavy-duty ones that affect the ball height and distance, so thats a plus.
First off the course conditions were amazing. Second off the pro shop changed our tee time without letting me know. Pro shop also was cocky. Stated they are so busy they like to turn people away. We played with some members and they said how it isn’t worth being a member now since it’s tough to get tee times. Pro shop also changed their time and told them they had other members wanting their time. They had a tournament start at 9am( I teed off at 8). I asked if this was going to mess with us at all. They said no they will play the back 9 then come to front. Well I played the front 9 in 2 hours(4 some) we get to hole 10 and play comes to a stop because of the tournament. We had 2-3 groups in front teeing off on every hole in the back. Would have been nice to have a warning when booking that a tournament was going on. Played close to a 5 hour round did get to play the last two holes due to another appointment.
Prices are a bit steep, but if youre willing to shell out the cash, this is a great course to play in Austin. Dont be discouraged when you see your score at the end of the round. This course is one heck of a challenge. Tight turns and not much reward for taking the risk.My favorite aspect of the course were the greens. They were superior to all courses I have played in Austin so far. If you have touch and want to test your abilities - This course is for you!
WOW, this place has really gone DOWN HILL since Magnolia Hospitality took over. Range balls are terrible, never any water on the course, never a Marshall, no carts until you tee off and buckle up for a solid 5 HOUR ROUND. I’m not paying $90 to play here ever again. Too bad, Bc it is a nice layout. But the management is just SO BAD
Our wedding day at Avery Ranch Golf Club ended up being quite beautiful and magical thanks to a team effort from multiple parties including myself. We got married in October 2018 and utilized their all inclusive package mainly because we lived out of state. The value is pretty awesome for what you get. Avery was not helpful overall - they are very unorganized and unresponsive. The vendors they partner with are amazing and made the experience better though. I would not recommend Avery for their wedding services simply because their disorganization caused much undue stress for an already stressful planning process under normal circumstances.
Avery Ranch is one of the few non-municipal courses in Austin open to the public, basically a private club which allows non-members to play. As a result, the course is often booked out and extremely busy. This is a challenging course with plenty of sand traps and water features. The fairways and greens are in good shape (better than any municipal course). Carts are in great shape, and the pro shop is friendly. The driving range suffers a bit from heavy use, but should be fine for hitting off the mat.
Course is one of the busiest in Austin. Great track in nice shape. Greens can be a little torn up but thats due to the sheer amount of people playing there. If youre serious about pace of play on the weekends be sure to get an early morning tee time.Shout out to Matt Hardy in the Clubhouse for the exceptional service.
Home of the 5 hour round!Like the feeling of every shot being your first? Waiting endlessly for the groups in front of you to pick up the pace? Then this is the course for you! A $90 green fee isnt enough to have a Marshal on the course to monitor pace of play, and dont expect Chase in the proshop to care when you call in to let him know the course is backed up.
I’ve always liked this course. The last couple years has not treated the course too well, but still in decent shape. Price is a little too much for what you get. This last time we were playing in a foursome and ended the round ahead of our schedule. But prior to the turn we were harassed by the Marshall and even staff from the office to speed up. Which backfired as everyone was then hurried and played worse. The confrontation from the staff was unacceptable.
Avery Ranch has been my go to course for many years, but it just doesnt seem to be run as well as it used to. The last few rounds I have played lasted no less than five and a half hours, with one stretching into 6 hours. The Marshall tells you he is trying to speed things up, but nothing ever changes. It is always this tournament got off to a slow start or we are just stacking up on XX hole. Maybe if you are a member and can afford to go out at 7am, it is better. But if I could afford that, would I play here? Probably not.
Avery is without a doubt a top 3 public course in Austin. Lush fairways and nice greens that arent ridiculously unfair like some other courses out here. Fun layout with a few really hard holes. Awesome scenic view from the clubhouse. Range does suck but I go to play 18 not practice so I dont mind. The staff is pretty good for the most part with the exception of a couple of douchebags but what do you expect it is a golf course. Rates are a little too high in the morning which is why I go in the afternoon, $45 or less for this course is a steal!
The course is nice, needs more flowers. The driving range balls seemed like they were from 1980. The balls are all beat up, old, scuffed, and most with cuts. They need new balls like years ago. Also, if youre paying for a round of golf, a bucket of balls should be complimentary, but not with Avery Ranch.
The owner of this course and management provide horrible customer service and dont care about the safety of the golfers. Making golfers ride in a cart with people you dont know during a global pandemic. Clearly putting profits over health of people. I will never spend another dollar at this course or any other course owned by Magnolia Golf.
Extremely disappointed with the condition of the greens. Every green had numerous ball marks. After three holes I gave up repairing them. Certainly not a top quality golf course. Perhaps signage encouraging the golfers to repair their ball marks could help. Then remind the golfers to rake the bunkers.
The Valentines dinner this year was cozy and the food was good. Unfortunately they were understaffed for such an event which delayed service and receiving food that was hot.Our server was doing her very best but hampered by crowd size and untested computer system. We still had a nice time with friends but it was not near as nice as the previous Valentine party two years go.
The RUDEST staff I have ever met! My husband and I moved our family to North Austin a few years back and we have been member at Avery for over 5 years and finally cancelled our $400+ membership late 2018. The staff is so rude and the course is in horrible condition. It is always so slow and packed and NO ONE fixes their ball marks. The young cart boys are so rude to us when the range machine is out of balls. Even more, Franklin in the Pro Shop used to give lessons to my youngest daughter who is 8 years old and we stopped because she said she felt uncomfortable when Franklin would touch her in uncomfortable places! I cannot express all my concerns in one single review, but I hope everyone sees this review realizes what a horrible course this is to be a part of.
I came here for a wedding and was guided to the bar area to wait until the ceremony started. They had one bar tender who was drowning on her own. I sat for 15 minutes and was never greeted. Then a group of golfers stood BEHIND me and yelled their order over my shoulder. They were serviced and I was ignored. Pretty rediculous for the golfers to be so rude and the bar tender to be so clueless! Management should know when wedding parties will be there and should have had extra staff available. They lost sales this night for sure!
My wife and I are long time members, Ive read some of the reviews and want to respond to some of the negative comments:* First off, you cannot play a 6 hour round here, its 4.5 hours and you are out of here. Im 68 years old and my wife and I walk the course in under 4 hours as a data point. Usually we are pushed by folks in carts.Note: some of the previous marshals admittedly needed to attend charm school, but they are all long gone.!* Second if you can find a better layout in Austin, play it. WE DONT NEED OR WANT YOU HERE. Hackers need not apply. Ive played ALL the Austin golf courses and the front nine at Avery is one of the best, #5 and #7 are really tough, but fair. You have to hit really good shots.* Third if you can find a course with better greens play it. The new owners have spent a ton of money on new equipment and time to make the greens as good as they can be in Texas and survive the heat. They are constantly sabring and airiating them to hold water, no more punching and sanding.* Fourth we now have the JL Lewis golf academy at Avery. Which is a top tier learning center from a recent multiple PGA tour winner and all around great guy. Folks hes been there and done that. ( I like to hangout around him and hope some of it will rub off on me.)* Areas of improvement: the bunkers. My wife and I play early in the morning and because of all the watering the sand gets compacted. We are usually out there before the bunker crew has a chance to fluff them up. Im sure they are much better in the afternoon.*Lastly since the new owners have taken over EVERYTHING (including the membership) has been raised several notches, ESPECIALLY THE GOLF ETIQUETTE and if you dont get that the new marshalls will be happy to train you. Folks all these improvements cost money so they bumped the green fees and also my monthly membership. To me its still a good value.
I havent yet played the course, but after reading the reviews here, I dont think Ill be in any rush. Ive been at the range though and thought it was okay. The range was in decent shape and there wasnt anything bad about the place. The only thing is the price was a little steep.
I had my wedding on 3/17/2018 at Avery Ranch Club & I was extremely pleased with the staff and our wedding coordinator Samantha Jones! she was such a lovely person to work with, me and my husband were so grateful to have her! she was super sweet and very attentive the entire wedding journey. we were so lucky to have had our entire ceremony and family portraits under a beautiful sunset, once it got to our single portraits it began to POUR! luckily Samantha came running with umbrellas right away and our guests were indoors already. With out Samantha our wedding would have been a mess! I rated Avery Ranch 5 stars but Samantha I would give her 10!
Fair golf course for Austin... made a late tee time on a Saturday, and it was still pretty stacked up. The prices are high considering the other options in the area. The fairway was similar to many municipal courses in the area. The greens are a completely different story, they are green as it can get and very well watered = FAST! The course itself was good, some holes were comparable to country clubs in difficulty level. The bag drop off is strange, since there is no where to actually put your bag except right in front of the door. The range on this particularly day was not great, lots of dirt at each station. And the stations were quite close together as well.
They were hosting a junior PGA tournament event for kids 8-14 year old. I was caddying for my son. On the 4th hole we played, right before a kid was about to swing.. the marshall called out you need to pick up the pace as you are on pace for a 6 hours round of golf. I think that comment is uncalled for. We were about 10 mins behind pace, but a simple please pick up pace should do the job. After our round, I went to the Pro shop and told them about the rude comment and the Pro shop assistance simply said I stand by my marshall and doubt he said what you claim he said.. We have 3 parents witness that and this is EXCELLENT customer service from the Pro shop guy to call me a liar. His attitude was why are you here playing at our course? My suggestion to Avery Ranch is, Dont host any event and make your course private. Take some customer service/ hospitality training. There are so many good golf course in the Austin area, this is definitely NOT one of them.
I really loved this place to have my wedding the venue manager LYZET AGUILAR was very responsive at first , I asked if I could go see the venue since she said that she was open all next week I took time off just so I could go see the venue and she never ever responded. I proceeded to email her again and never got a response . worse place ever !!!!!!!!!
Avery Ranch is a premiere golf course in the Austin Texas area. A short drive from central Austin you feel like you are in the hill country. The service provided by the golf staff is always above and beyond and the food is exceptional. I highly recommend all golfers checking this club out.
Beware! made a tee time thru golfnow. showed up on time and everything was ok. couple of days later I saw golfnow charged me for no show. called golfnow regarding the charge and they inform me that Avery ranch called in that we didnt show up.called avery and then golfnow again and they said they will refund the money. they had horrible pace of play, marshal doesnt have any sense or courtesy of the game, and they dont inform players about the condition of the green. but this incident is new.
Ashley, the head pro (woman) does not do good business. I canceled my $79/month Players Club membership and was traveling for 3 weeks and could not come into the club to officially cancel with signed paperwork, but the golf shop employee I spoke with assured me Ill take care of it and you wont be charged again and well wave the 30 day notice and just cancel you out. Long story short I was hit for 2 more months of billing and dont check my checking account statements every day and when I saw it I called in to explain hey this was improperly charged, and they never took care of it. I tried getting in touch with management for 3 consecutive days and kept getting the run around and Ashley would not call me back and all her messages were funneled through the pro shop and relayed back to me when I called each time. Really? Are you a Fortune 500 CEO and cant take 5 minutes to resolve a customer issue? Screw this place. Both Avery and Teravista have incompetents running the show. I hope this place goes bankrupt. Now on to waste more of my time disputing the charges and blocking their transactions!

2022-01-12Greens are in amazing condition considering its January and 40deg outside. It wasnt slow at all pretty good pace on all the greens very consistent. The course is fair, good reward for good tee shots. Few holes have blind hazards if you didnt know you could get in trouble for teeing it long. Probably not a bad idea to get the course book to see where they are at first time playing there.

2022-06-01Great place to get in some reps on the range. Only thing missing is cups on the practice greens. Looking forward to coming back and checking out the course.

2022-07-02Played this course yesterday with an 8:24am Tee time. Started off a little after but had a pretty fast pace. We ended up finishing a foursome just right at 4 hours. Pretty challenging course. Some of the par fives are tough. We played from the blues. Its best to stay right on the first five holes.

2022-01-29Avery Ranch is one of the nicer tracks around Austin. Unfortunately the only nice part about Avery Ranch is the actual course.Since the Magnolia Group has taken over this place has gone downhill. The management team is beyond poor. The range is one of the worst around. The balls hardly have dimples, the mats are rotting, the grass is all sand and a bucket is wildly over priced. Buying new range balls cannot be that expensive of an investment…Pace of play is also HORRIBLE. Don’t come here if you expect to play in 4 hours. Typically it takes about 5 hours because they stack their tee times.Overall I gave it 3 stars solely because the actual course is well kept and a fun challenge. Other than that the food is decent and the range and service are terrible.

2022-01-22My favorite course in Austin. Beautiful course with a luxurious clubhouse and separate ballroom/special events venue. Gorgeous water views and ample parking. The driving range is popular and I can see why. Overall very well maintained club surrounded by some beautiful golf course luxury homes.

2022-06-01What happened Avery Ranch? The last time we went to Avery Ranch had been approximately 6 months ago and enjoyed the golfing, course and surroundings.Heres some notes from our most recent golf experience:1) 5+ hrs round golf2) Golf course was not is the best of shape - especially the greens - fairways - so so3) 24 hr cancelling fee enforced - we had someone at the last minute due to unseen events - pay up4) Sand traps - that was not sand in the traps - mixed density of very little sand - pebbles and some small rocks.I hope Avery improves within the next few months because it was a really nice golf course but not worth the money, wait and overall experience.

2022-05-03Course itself was in good condition. The rate of plat is absolutely horrid. I will not be going back anytime soon and I recommend that you dont either. There is no reason for this golf course to book tee times 5 minutes apart and stack the field so heavily that it takes 6 hours to play a round of golf. (And we left 3 holes early!) Marshalls arent doing their job keeping pace of play up but they sure like to chat with everyone thats going around.Once again, nice and challenging course but dont waste your money when they waste your time.

2022-01-12Played there last Friday when it was cold as heck. We had a reservation for 8 and the day before one of our guys broke his arm in a go cart accident and the others furnace went out that morning and he couldnt get anyone to come out until Sat to fix it. so instead of 8 we had 6. Avery Ranch is a nice course however; the folks in the Pro Shop were cold and unfriendly. When we explained why we were short, they charged the guy that made the reservation for 2 more players because he didnt cancel w/i 24 hours. Said that was the Owners hard policy. Didnt give up a T time slot which I maybe, could understand but I still wouldnt like it. Even though it was a fairly nice course Id never take a chance and spend my money there again. They shouldve been happy people even showed up for their T times because of the cold! Totally unreasonable............
