Nice place for a casual bite to eat; good beer on tap, pool table, tons of TVs. The chicken sandwich is delicious. Bummed they took the gyro off of the menu.

We had this server who took forever to get our drinks and would ignore us. I think her name was piper and she was constantly on her phone. never coming here again
Great food. Get anything southwest and itll be delicious. Usually get paninis and salads myself. Its near my job, so when I have time to actually sit and eat, this is one of the two restaurants I frequent.
Ive been here twice, and both times if it was excellent. I dont know why but I didnt expect it to be that good. I had a steak salad with arugula and blue cheese crumbles which was delicious! I highly recommend this place.
Love the burgers! Great tasting 1/2 lbs. Angus beef, and a great selection of local beers in a fun, relaxed, very Texas atmosphere.

I want to rate this place higher but some staff can be a bit aloof and menu is a bit pricey, however, the quality of food and apps are generally good. One example is the bean & cheese nachos $5.99...add Taco meat and its $10.99 cmon.A little too popular to have a hometown feel. Golden tee is available but its crammed in by the front door by the high chairs. I miss the prior pool table, but it was replaced during covid for more seating...perhaps again one day!
I had a horrible experience here. The service was horrible and the waiters appeared untrained. Ours in particular did not appear to have any care for his job or his service. The food was also way overpriced. It was decent, but nothing out of the ordinary. For $15, I expect a little more than a just decent burger and extremely burnt chips. The only good things about this place are the Irish Nachos, and the wide selection of beers. I do not recommend this place. I would recommend Hat Creek for a more family friendly option and quick turnaround.

Backspin is a neighborhood sports bar in the Belterra shopping center on 290. This is a full service bar with cocktails, beer, wine, soft drinks and a pretty good menu. Its typical bar fare but they do it well with good burgers and sandwiches, soups and salads. I particularly enjoy the stuffed mushrooms and nachos which you can get pretty much any way you like them. The staff, especially the bartenders are friendly and very helpful. As I said, I like this place but I should warn you that Backspin is very kid friendly, especially after youth sporting events end and parents sporting events begin. But hey, my kids would have been frequent customers and this is not an everyday occurrence. Just call ahead and check, especially Saturdays. There are TVs everywhere and the staff tries to be accommodating if theres a certain sporting event you want to watch. Backspin also offers outdoor seating and smoking is allowed outside, so its good news, bad news if you dont like smoke. If youre a night owl check on the closing time because Im not sure when they close. Bon appétit!
This place is a pretty classic sports bar. Ive only eaten a few times here but it seems pretty good. While the atmosphere is pretty nice, its a sports bar and unlike the league you arent that isolated from the bar itself. This isnt a problem for me, but it is one of the differentiating factors between the league and backspin. Both are good in their own right, and I recommend you give each a try to find what you like.

Great bbq burger and fries. Chicken Philly is delicious. Seasoning on chips is great, fries are terrific but youll like the chips too. Discovered Crawford Bach, yum. Liked the vibe. Great service. Queso & Chips & Salsa was outstanding. Note to competitors, dont skimp on chips, these were thick and terrific.
Only had drinks there but they were good. Bartender and server were responsive to my questions and easily switched up an ingredient on a specialty cocktail for me. Downside; for the two hours I was there the only music playing was country. I can handle a little if its mixed in with other music but will probably not return. If you like country (and like hearing only country) you will enjoy this place.
Unlike my post about a terrible experience with customer service and rudeness from the staff at Grawlicks, Backspin has amazing customer service. We have been coming here since they opened, never been disappointed and surprising good food. Surprising because you would not expect that from a sports bar.
This place has been open probably close to a year and this is the first time Ive been there. I was pleasantly surprised as the food was good. I had the BLT and it tasted good and their house made chips was delicious. Service was pretty good too. Glad to have something like this close to home.
I have been here several times now and the food is consistently good. When Covid is gone, I look forward to eating inside the restaurant. Its looks like a great place to watch sports and have a few beers.
I like to go with friends to this place with my highest recommendations. I visit this place often. I get very good feedback from my friends. The dishes they serve are tasty and the team is welcoming and cooperative. Whenever we eat in this place we have a splendid evening. warmly recommended.
First visit tonight and we will definitely be back. Quick and thorough service. A great selection of beer and wine. I had the patty melt and it was perfect. Well worth the visit. Lots of TVs to watch the game as well.
Nice staff, clean and decent atmosphere, food is good(not great) but just way overpriced. Cheeseburger, broccoli and tea was $19.50 before tax and tip. $3.99 up-charge for broccoli vs potato chips, seriously? At 2pm on a Monday one would think lunch prices or happy hour, but not so much.
Excellent service! Great social atmosphere. Good selection of beer and spirits. Can be very noisy. If youre sensitive to a noisy atmosphere this is not your place. Lots of TVs everywhere.
What we ordered tasted great (fried pickles, chips & queso, and burgers). The margarita was just ok.However, the service on the patio (dog friendly) was below average. Waiter messed up husbands order on burger toppings, forgot about his beer order, and took a long time to bring our check after requesting it.

UPDATE :: they completely changed the menu. All the great wonderful taking food is replaced with Costo frozen food.I usually get the chicken salad - the chick is bland and the dressing is not tasty at all.Someone else got a sandwhich and fries. There were literally 10 fries on the plate - we usually got a ton more then that.I am not to keep on all these cut backs - Really is not why I would go back.Their salad was delious! Fresh and big. We also ordered a sandwich which looked great.The service was very friendly and nice. She had great suggestion. I like a server who has tried the food and knows the menu. Good job there.Tvs are insane! Lost interest when basketball came on.
Awesome sports bar in the new Belltera Village. They have a pool table plus lots of TVs keep ALL the sports on. There is a good menu and good drink selection. The staff is nice as well.
Its a sports bar. It is really a 3.5 rating. It is either dead or crowded never really in between. The food is decent. The gluten free burger is pretty good.
Nice, clean venue. Plenty of great beers available. The Reuben was okay. The wings were very tasty but a bit more sauce than I prefer. Will definitely be going again in the future.

My husband and I ate here before seeing a movie at the new theater close by in the new strip center where this is all located. The food menu consists of appetizers, burgers, sandwiches and salads. I didnt read the drink menu but it looked like it had a large selection of Texas craft beers as well as your standards. The food was very good and good size. My husband had the Steak Burger served on a brioche bun with arugula, red onions, tomato, cheese and a peppercorn horseradish sauce with garlic fries. I had the Blackened Chicken Bacon Boursin Sandwich which had a grilled chicken breast served on a brioche bun with Lettuce, tomatoes, bacon with the boursin spread with the house chips. We were there early for supper and the place had a few families there. It had a nice atmosphere, great service and great food.

Not a good first impression! I was rushed out and I wasn’t checked on one time after I got my food and when she did come back she said do you want your check I got a group that was m guessing was going to use my table! I was wanting to eat and enjoy opening day of baseball so probably won’t be back!

It was disappointing that our server could not muster up a smile or even seem engaged...not even once. Id say food was ok but service was a super let down. Its as if you went somewhere you werent exactly welcomed but tolerated. 3rd try with same experience. Probably wont go back

We were visiting from Orlando for a wedding. We stopped by here for a sports bar. You cannot go wrong here. We had a great bartender and she was so nice and helpful. I would recommend this place to all.

Horrible service! Can’t talk much about the food because...we never received it! Table after table that came after us received SOMETHING! Our server was not attentive and the manager was busy with some other patrons who where NOT HAPPY. I could tell from the annoyed look on much of the other groups around me that they were dealing with issues of their own. With so much new competition in the area, I don’t know how they will continue on.

Food was your average fare, but it was an exciting (and a little loud) place to watch a game. So many TVs from all sides, the noise was a little overwhelming for me.
Double check your to go orders! Multiple times we’ve had something wrong with to go orders, including a hamburger with no patty.
Its a little pricey for sonic burgers. I guess its trying to fit the Calli swag. Been there, done that, got a shirt...didnt really get a shirt but you know the saying. If Hat creek is packed I might be back. A very big maybe.

Everything was great, food was fast and hot which is good on lunch hour, world cup was on, everything was as expected. Outside TV would be good for smokers but its too hot in summer anyway.

2022-06-19Great atmosphere, food was delicious, but service wasnt good. Had to wait to order, to get a refill on my drink, then brings me wrong drink.Food is worth going back, maybe Ill try once more before I decide for sure.I have to say that I went back and food didnt disappoint again. But this time my server was on top of it. Service was great, thank you Danielle, you made this place worth going back for a second time. Needless to say I will be back again.

2022-01-23We loved this place! My husband said the burger was the best hes ever had! I ate a grilled chicken sandwich and it was delicious as well. They make their own potato chips too and for me, thats a plus!

2020-12-13Place is consistently good on food and atmosphere, glad we can go inside and enjoy the food and drinks. They are very disciplined during our pandemic. I have been in places that have been very lax but the Backspin (at least in this location) doesn’t mess around. I always get the bean and cheese nachos. Hubby got the buffalo chicken sandwich- get the chips, they are superb! Yum.. I love chips like these. Good place to go and watch the game.

2022-05-15I really enjoy this place, the service is great, lots of TVs, good food but lately the music has been horrible, especially for a sports bar. I’d rather not hear Taylor Swift or any other whiny soft girl music. Simple classic rock is always well received.

2022-06-14Took my drink order but never brought it out. It was almost closing so I didnt want to ask for it and make other staff wait. 10 minutes for a draft beer and a shot with 6 bar patrons is just not good.

2018-11-27Great place for lunch. I had the club sandwich and it was one of the best I have ever had! The homemade shops are also some of the best I have ever had. I got some ranch to dip them in and WOW was it good! The service was outstanding! They have televisions all over the place so it looks like a great place to watch sports. I highly recommend this place to everyone!

2020-09-11I love the new location perfectly positioned as Austin develops to the West. The staff is amazing and me and my husband love to meet our friends here for Longhorn games. My favorite is the patty melt and the fried pickles.There are over 20 televisionsso you should be able to get a view of any game youre looking to watch. They are open for business and thankfully got through the covid-19 hardship.Support your local businesses today and get out and enjoy some college football!

2019-11-02Reba is literally the world’s best server. Aside from that fact, the establishment has always welcomed me with open arms and delicious food and beverage options. This is a wonderful adult hangout. Come hungry/thirsty and leave satisfied. Drink responsibly.
