I would give it 5 stars if they would reset their hours to 10:00 pm on weekdays and 11:00 on weekends. On date nights, we used to go eat dinner and then spend both a lot of money and time visiting with friends in the coffee shop. My wife is a bookaholic, so in addition, she would always buy a book or two.. Now they close too early to do that.I am not a fan of Starbucks coffee either.
The assistant store manager is rude. He wouldnt let me renew my husbands account and when I gave him my information didnt even bother to see if I wanted to renew mine. I used to love going into this store.

I adore this place.My favorite place in Amarillo.The staff has always been amazing. Its nice to see that most of the employees have been there for years, they remember you and are all very helpful. I LOVE that they enjoy reading as well. Ive had most give me titles to their favorite books, and they recommend the best drinks in the Starbucks cafe. I have 0 issue here.
This is a good B&N. The café staff are usually very efficient and personable. Biggest complaint is that the restroom usually is out of paper towels.
Went with my daughter, it always smells so good in there the atmosphere is so inviting and relaxing. We bought several books. An all and ill wonderful visit

This is my favorite Barnes and Noble because there are a couple ladies who work at the Cafe that always do a good job. I also like the fact they have my book on the shelves (lol). Its a cultural history of tarot cards--called The Cards (if youre interested).

Went here with my girlfriend to look for a book (unfortunately they were sold out) but the building was clean, quite, and comfortable many fun products and books that i will be going back for. The Starbucks worker got us our drinks to us correctly and quickly. Overall Id say very good customer service, we both ended up with products.
An excellent place to hang out to read, relax, and visit with friendly people. Greatly appreciate the in house coffee bar.

Really clean, well organized book store with a Starbucks inside. Perfect place to either curl up in a comfy chair and read or bring your laptop to do homework.

It is good to see an actual bookstore however the prices of the books are much higher than what you can get on Amazon. The nostalgia as my oldest son says is to walk into a bookstore and smell the ink but I tell him my pocketbook screens because I can get it 10 to 15 dollars less than what theyre selling it for

I love this place. Its just like a library but you can by the books I could spend hours I the store browsing. There is nothing short in this store. From gaming books, DnD, kids reading section, snacks, coffee shop, everything here is worth your time. You can even get a membership and get a good percentage off your books you by and the coffee shop. This place is a safe place for me.
Its so fun to go to a real bookstore! Small book selection of my cozy mysteries. However, they have a large magazine selection. Lots of new releases! And a Starbucks, too!
This is our favorite family hangout spot in Amarillo while we stop here! Dont ever die out! Ebooks hurt my eyes and no computer can ever replace a brick and mortar book store!

This Barnes & Noble is clean but a little disorganized. I kept coming across the same book in different locations on the same shelf. Other than that I always have good shopping experiences and I attended a book reading one time it was great!
The staff here are always eager to help and extremely friendly. Membership (which is free) is definitely the way to go if you plan to visit more than once a year. The selection of books, games, puzzles, calendars, date planners and journals is excellent. The cookies at the cafe are worth every bite!
Love this store! Any bookworm or just the occasional reader can find reading material. If they dont have something in stock they are more than happy to order it and help.
Best place ever. Enjoyed looking around and visiting with friends and having great coffee from Starbucks. Handicap parking. Associates helpful clean environment plenty of parking. Love going there something is always going on. Live music was playing when I was there. I will definitely be back. Great time.
Horrible customer service. I showed up close to closing time for a book the website showed to have in stock. I could not find the book in fiction and was offered no help on finding the in stock copies. Employees were only looking to close the store. I will order from Amazon next time to save myself the frustration and recommend you do the same.

The staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable! Books are always well organized and easy to find. If you can’t find what you are looking for the staff is also easy to find and very helpful. The cafe has great food and drinks with barista‘s that do there job very well.
Probably the nicest Barnes and Nobles I have ever been to. Everything was so well organized and staff go around the store to help patrons.
Its been such a long time since I visited a Barness & Noble but I was thrilled that we did. I was also very surprised at their prices they were lower than expected. I found tons of books that I wanted and many were discounted. Staff was very friendly and helpful. The one thing I didnt like was their rewards program. While most other companies will offer free rewards they charge $25 a year for a 10% discount. Since we dont have this store where I live it didnt seem worth it. They should offer a free rewards program like most other places. Overall very happy with our experience!!
Ok, if this place ever closes, I might need therapy! Starbucks in Store. Service is great! And it’s Our Family’s go to place for relaxing fun. Yes, reading is fun. Did I mention the lego sets, and cute stuff. Especially with hot chocolate and a cookie or cupcake. My son is 19 and On the spectrum. He feels super comfortable hear. PS: get the membership! We have had it for over 6 years. Way worth it. If you’ve had a bad time here, it’s because you didn’t talk to anyone about your issues they aim to please. See you there.

Really good for people of all ages has a large variety of books to choose from as well. It is easy to find the right book that you want with different categories. After your done shopping you can go to their little cafe get some coffee and a snack with your book. I recommend it for anyone who loves books like I do.
I love physical books but this place is very pricey.They have a strangle hold on book stores in the area.You can always go to thrift stores and get books for a fraction of the prices, however its hardly ever books you want. If they had really cool space to read like they used to, with couches and little quite areas then it would still be a 5 star. But I guess they want ppl buying books and not reading them.

Quaint. Coffee shop inside so you can grab a drink and snack while browsing. The staff is extremely helpful and knowledgeable. Theyll even make awkward small talk with you at checkout. Its always fun to go in and see what is popular reading material and try and remember there is a world outside the narrow cast stream of digital media.

I love that theres still book stores around. This location is clean and everyone is very friendly. You can get coffee inside and read your books, the restrooms have always been clean when Ive gone in them.
They really need to do something about the disgusting smell of their bathrooms. For years it has reeked of urine and old urinal cakes and they have never done anything about it. It is horrible and makes me not want to shop there.
Its a bookstore cant say much more than that. Good parking area, snack area which is Starbucks always good.Customer service is great and theres always someone around to answer questions. Even the weird questions.
Nice clean store. Had the book we were looking for and was able to quickly locate it. Empoyees were friendly and helpful. Checkout was quick and efficient with a line that moved fast. Overall great experience especially so given that we went just after Christmas and stores are usually a mess with frazzled employees from dealing with the zombie hoard of shopping masses.

This book store is divided into 2 stories. I can spend hours in here reading different synopsis of books. There is also a Starbucks if you like coffee. Workers are very helpful!
Its a bookstore! You know, where you can actually touch the books. Theyve also got loads of Funko Pop Vinyls if thats your thing. Good selection, helpful staff, big bathrooms that arent gross enough to not use, but you wont want to stay in them. Support brick and mortar stores!

Same great book store it was very crowded but we still managed to find what we needed . They have a great selection for teens and young adults. The staff helped out a lot when asked and were very friendly and knowledgeable. Its not Amazon as far as selection but at least I get my book right then and there.
I love Barnes and Noble. Im going into middle school and I was going to get my share of books before school starts- that way Ill get my last bit of summer reading. The have tables that are labeled books every kid should read or books people should know about and that gives you an easy option. Plus the workers are do friendly. It deserves 5 stars definitely!
I havent read in a while, up until a week ago, now that I have time Ive read all the books I own and am looking for more, thank the lord for this store lol, they have everything I could ever want to read! Experience may vary though so you have to go yourself to see if its for you
Cody was knowledgable about a variety of genres and knew exactly where to find all the books we were looking for. I ordered books for my classroom o line and an hour later they were ready for pick up. I highly recommend this store.
The employees are always more than helpful and make multiple suggestions in various types of books. Even when Im vague in what Im looking for, the employees will patiently escort me to different sections while maintaining enthusiasm. I like this store.
Always a good selection of books magazines and newspapers. The staff seems to be really well acquainted with new Authors in new books that have arrived. They really staying to stay on top of the best choices. Also I kind of like some of the new gifty stuff they have in there as well like the Moleskine books and notebooks.
At least they had a Ouija board. They don’t have very many left hand path books it’s all very much right hand path. Also, it was a nice set up everybody was really nice they could order some things but I could do it myself

Barnes and Noble is a nice bookstore with regular deals running and a helpful staff! Most prices (for books) are around the same as ordering off Amazon. There is also a Starbucks, with seating located inside the store. Close to the mall and easy access to interstate.
Took my daughter to browse and to get a cold drink from the cafe. Ashley Brown from the cafe took our order and was very friendly and just treated all the customers as though they were special. Just went above and beyond. The other workers also smiled and were very friendly and helpful as well. Was a nice get away and the store is always fresh and new as the books and items are always rotated for a new display and different look. I hope busineses like this dont go out of busines because people tend to be completely content just looking at their phones these days. Will be sad if it ever comes to that. In the mean time id highly reccomend a visit as it was more than just a shopping experience. Good employees definitely make an impact on return business!! (:
I love Bathes and Noble. Though I think they can be over priced they do carry the largest selection of journals that are unique and fitting to a persons personality.They often have amazing different arts and crafts kits of all kinds that are fun amd affordable. They carry an amazing selection of discount books and have a fantastic kids amd fantasy section.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The store is always clean as well as the rest rooms. A great place to relax and read.
My first few times going into the store was wonderful great customer service and very nice staff. My last two visits were unpleasant. Each time the two older women at the check out were very rude and dimissive. I went to pick up a book I pre-ordered and the lady treated me like a child cutting in line when there was no one in the line. I received two of the same books when only ordered one. I was not charged for the second and believed the right thing to do was to return it and older woman could not have cared less. No thank you or anything but our newer staff makes mistakes. I informed her they were very helpful. Just not sure if I will go back and now I know why people order online.

We stopped in because my 6 yr old grandson isnt challenged by Dr. Seuss but its overwhelmed by books with no pictures. We needed a little direction and the staff member with whom we interacted was extremely helpful. He walked us to the section we needed and described it to us.
Quiet bookstore/coffee shop. The coffee is great, so many goodies to choose from. The bathrooms need to be cleaned more often, but the reading experience is the center of the store.

Asked for help to find a book and the worker said Im on break but I think it should be over in fantasy but if its not then Im wrong and that all there is to that. Walked around the store for 20 mins and someone finally helped us find what we altered looking for.

It is a lovely hour now and then that I spend in here. I am free to sit and read, to look, to enjoy any book I wish for as long as Id like. It is an hour in here with peace unlike any other hour of my week.
I can spend hours hear, they have such a wide array of book genres including D&D books, dice, maps, and map tiles! I just went here to get George RR Martins A Song of Ice and Fire and have been reading almost none stop since, this place is always great at having something to read!

I love this store no matter what, because its our only actual bookstore here, but customer service sucks! The cashier was rude to my daughter, impatient, and trying to get help on the floor was nigh impossible. What happened? They used to be so good!

The selection of books is not what it used to be, sadly. I suspect they are a victim of Amazons and their own companys online business. Nevertheless, B&N serves as the largest most capable bookstore serving our community.

If it sells good books I am IN! I love Barnes and noble it is that bookstore that you go to buy a book, sit down and read while you sip coffee, analyze the pages you just read, and conclude if you will buy the book or not. It can also be a decent place to buy your college textbooks from at a cheaper price. (Colleges primarily have an increase in price for conviency as well as to make more money.) This store is easily one of my favourite places to go to in town. Aside from the antique stores on 6th street, this is the best place to spend time alone in public.
I love the Barnes and Noble in Amarillo, TX. Its just off Soncy, close to the mall. It has a Starbucks and the anime and manga I currently read. The staff is usually super helpful, and the cleanliness is superb. My friends and I usually go here to grab a quick drink and book, or as a study place. Be warned, there are no readily accessible plug-ins for laptops/phones. Come fully charged.

Disappointed today, walked in, found my item, went to buy my item, I was the only person in line at first, the lady at the register was ringing someone up, and begins to have a conversation with the person. I stood there and smiled at the cashier, she saw me, but went back to her conversation.( I felt invisible ) After a bit, the customer walks out and the cashier picks up the phone and begins talking, now there are people behind me in line, a manager comes, she begins to have a conversation with him about the last customers email address, the manager begins to figure out the email address issue... Finally the manager notices the line of people and tells her to open another register and help the customers in line. I looked at her name tag, it said Bobbie. I hope she gets more training on how to do her job! Please talk on your own time.
Fantastic Barnes and Noble. Its a little smaller than some of the other ones weve been too but it still works. They have great selections for the genres my wife and I like and it had a great vibe inside. Will definitely go back.
Helpful knowledgeable staff. One of my favorite places to visit when I am in Amarillo. On my last visit to the store I was SO VERY DISAPPOINTED to discover that all of the different e-readers were no longer available in store.

Liked the store, but when we ask for a certain type of book the employee was unprofessional and did not want to help . It was a sex book so what ! We were from Dallas and was picking it up for someone that could not get over to Amarillo . You ought to train these employees to accept and help your customers you really dont know why we needed it.

People think just because they see a Starbucks logo that its automatically a Starbucks, when in reality its not, if people could pay attention they would know. At Barnes and Noble theres a sign that clearly says Barnes and Noble CAFE proudly serves Starbucks coffee. Meaning that its not a franchised Starbucks, they just make and sell the drinks thats why the food options are different than an actual Starbucks.

I had my girlfriend cal and reserve a book yesterday. She talked to Pat and offered to pay for it so they would hold it for us (2:15PM). She went to pick the book up and the young lady at the counter said someone sold the book(7:15pm). I then call the store and spoke to Rodrigo. He started looking around and found the book and it wasnt sold. The communication at this store is horrible.

Great place. My husband and I had a date there. We sat on the couches with coffees and cheesecake. So quiet and nice.
An adequate selection...wish they would get some older titles in sometimes. Quick impersonal service and always a lil pricey for me but it does a really good job at being what it is...a big business.

Great place to find the books youre looking for. Summary reading program is good also. They occasionally have things for kids to do.

Went to the Starbucks inside. The peppermint coffee and cheese pretzel was excellent, but ten bucks is too high for my pay grade (retired).
Very wide selection of books and toys, I love going there if I want to get a book for me or my friends.
This store is pretty awesome. I didn’t expect much, but I left with 5 books I’m excited to read.
We were a little disappointed that they no longer carry PlayMobil products.
I was able to find some science book on sale for my classroom library. They also gave me a teacher discount! It helps out!

Always fun to visit. This isnt the biggest or nicest Barnes and Nobles, but they have a great selection and they keep it clean and pleasant.

Great place for books, but more importantly their starbucks has pizza pretzels.
Staff at B&N are always helpful. This time they were patient and found the book I was looking for. Lots of good deals to be found.

2018-10-23Older store but still nice. They have a good selection here and if your item isn’t in stock they’ll order it for you. I do wish they’d update their bathrooms, but that’s my only complaint. The cafe has a good selection of coffees and food.

2022-03-07This place is great, staff is friendly theyll order any book you want if its not in stock. Ive been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. The Barnes and noble Cafe serves Starbucks coffee plus cool seasonal drinks that Starbucks doesnt have.

2022-04-10The decline of bookstores is appropriately blamed on the fact that they only carry old titles that are now out of date. I could still buy books for Windows XP but nothing for Windows Server 2022
