1st time visiting. Immediately fell in love with the service/ cleanliness. Great menu, great prices. Staff followed all covid guidelines. We had the whole RESTAURANT to ourselves. Food was perfect. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! We will definitely return. 100 stars. This last visit was very disappointing. I will not return
The food is good.We have eaten here a few times and never had issues until today we picked up a to go order and the guy in the front taking payment (young Hispanic guy wearing glasses) flung my hubbies bank card to him instead of just sliding it over. That was uncalled for especially since he paid $101.00 for our order!! Someone needs to definitely take care of that. Because the food may be good but issues like this will have ppl go else where!
I go here because I like their Gumbo and the fish is tasty as well. The last two times that I have went havent been so pleasant. The girl at the front desk that may be Vietnamese needs some major customer service and phone training. The first incident was in August. I went with a friend to order some to go food which included Gumbo and a Fish dinner. I placed my order and decided to get a soda. I opened the soda and noticed that it was flat and out dated. I went to try to pick out another soda in their soda cooled but noticed that the sodas were outdated. I went to the front desk and explained to her and requested a refund. She proceeded to argue with me saying that I shouldnt have opened the soda and drank some. I clearly had not drank any of the soda. I flat out told her not to argue with me and just give me my $ back. The second incident happened last Thursday. I called in an order for Gumbo and the same girl answered the phone very dry and nonchalant. I looked at my phone like is this a restaurant that Im calling. I go to pick up my Gumbo and notice that the lunch special price went up $3.85. The price use to be $8.05 and now it is $11.90 total. I understand that costs do go up and the struggle that everyone is going through right now due to the pandemic. I get to work to eat the Gumbo and noticed that it wasnt filled with all the ingredients as it usually is. I feel that if the price has increased significantly higher, then my Gumbo should be filled with Shrimp, Sausage, fish, and crabmeat.
-ATTENTION TO OWNER OF THE RESTAURANT-we will be reporting this to our doctor to report to the Texas health department .Now for the review .....We were served salad with bugs in it.The tea tasted foul and rotting smell.The fried oysters came out luke warm and freezer burn and bad fish taste to them....and on top of it all we ended up getting stomach pains thankfully we had probiotics on hand and that helped but this needs to be addressed and people need to be retrained I do not recommend this place for eating. We wont be back ever.Cleanliness control for food was not worth a one star if I could give 0 I would 3 bugs in salad and dressing cup and bad oysters foul oder taste etc temp not up to par eitherand waiting staff wasnt that up to par.We got sick from the conditions please becareful.
This place used to be very good but i recently tried it and the drop in quality is Quite sad,All the tables were dirty and looks like they have not been wiped down in some time, the service was average but the real issues is the quality of food our salads where old, the shrimp felt rather tough and the fish had zero flavor. I have no problem spending money on good seafood but this place is asking way to much based on there food.
I attempted to place a to go order Saturday November 7 around 3 or 4 pm and was verbally assaulted by the person answering the phone I asked if curbside was provided for seniors at high risk with limited mobility and was told no. I had recieved that service just a couple of weeks before. When I shared that info was I was not correct and they never had and never would. They only served customers who were able to come in and pay. The person on phone then hung up on me. I called back as have been going to this cage for 10 yrs and enjoy the food and usually the service. I was then told I was a trouble maker and had a problem and when asked to speak to manager was told she was the manager and that she did not have to give me her name. I have never been spoken to with such anger and rudeness by a merchant. I would like to file a formal complaint against this employee because I do e joy the food and would like to continue to give them business but I cannot tolerate this type of behavior and the real manager needs to address this issues. Several friends encountered this person as well.
Went on 1/30/21 at 7pm. First we went for crawfish they had none. Then the waiter was very rude. I was thinking about getting the Alaskan king crab and lobster tail so I asked what comes with the plate as far as like sides and he rudely told me it says it on the menu well no it didnt all it said was with melted butter. So he said oh, well potato and salad! Then my husband was going to order a salad and when he asked for lite dressing the waiter didnt even know what dressings they had. We finally had enough got up and left and went to 68 crawfish express which by the way is so delicious.
I give only three stars due to the fact that when youre given your ticket to pay, they automatically take out a 15% tip on your ticket and when you ask the manager that you dont want to place this on your account and you would rather pay that separately. She claimed that they can not take it off because it is in the computer and it automatically adds when you have a group 6 or more people. Yet we all were paying separately which didnt make any sense at all. Youre pretty much forced to pay a tip set at what they say is acceptable to what they want, rather than what you want even if they give you bad service. So in other words you DONT get to choose for yourself how much you want to tip, whether you want to or not.And also I give three stars because the food was good. Other than that they wouldve gotten a ONE star.
Been going here for nearly 20 years now. The food has always been consistent. I dont go as often as I use too, mostly because of the price. It use to be very affordable. There are a few places I like better for with pricing to my liking. Its one of those places where when you want that flavor or taste you just go. The portions are large. My visit was good and so was the food!
Stringy, overly greasy shrimp in far too much spongy breading. Fries are terrible quality, the same type you get at Popeyes, but somehow even more overcooked and disgustingly greasy as well. This place used to have good seafood for decent prices, now you can get high school cafeteria quality shrimp for 25 dollars.
The fried fish and shrimp was fresh and hot to the table. Excellent!!!!! Great choice for a cheat day. The dressings were good also. I gave it 3 stars bc of the waitress and the condiments. The waitress was a bit on the dry side....not very welcoming. And the tarter sauce and sour cream were watered down.
This is mine and my husband’s go to place when we want fresh hot seafood at a good price! We always get the fish and shrimp with food left to take home! The salad is always crispy fresh and cool, the fish and shrimp always fried fresh and they don’t pile your plate of with French fries because the portions are nice size! Love this place!
Out of fresh oysters, out of quail, waitress forgot our appetizers, forgot our side orders and had to ask what we had, brought out wrong salad dressing, didn’t refill our drinks until very end, the fries were old and refried. I asked if the wings were breaded and she said she never had wings there before and didn’t offer to ask. honestly the only assumption i can make is that since i got there an hour and 20 minutes before closing it made the cooks and waitresses mad. They didn’t offer ketchup for fries we had to ask, and she forgot the box’s for our to go order.All in all the food was sub par, the service was terrible, but at least the place was clean.I wish I had 10 thumbs so i can give this place 10 thumbs down. I usually rate places for being awesome and let bad places slide but i couldn’t in good faith let anyone else eat here ever again.Your experience may be different and i really hope it is.
Food was good; I had the beef ribs and my wife had the baked potato and a turkey sandwich. I really like sauce, (sweet, just a hint spicy). I would rate the side items (mac n cheese, green beans) as better-than-average. The sweet tea is always spot-on and their yeast rolls are excellent.
Food is good as always but be prepared for the price hikes. They upped prices $2-$3. Fried calamari went up to 12.99 which is way higher than it was before. We skipped it this time around. Prices are similar to Pappadeaux now. I guess they have to pay for the new menus and flat screen TV additions. Luckily they have a lunch menu that is pretty reasonable. We wont be going for dinner or on weekends.
Awesome awesome place to eat. Ive always believed that if a restaurants bathroom is a mess then the workers and kitchen are a mess. I must say Baytown Seafoods restaurant is ALWAYS CLEAN! This may not mean much to some people but it means a lot to me. The food is always hot and fresh.The customer service is superb! Their lunch specials are VERY AFFORDABLE. I can go on and on but I just picked up my to go order and am anxious to eat lol.....Kudos guys👍
I go to this restaurant often and the food is great. Todays visit was unimpressive though. We had a terrible waitress! The restaurant was practically empty so there was no excuse for this service, especially when I saw at least 3 wait staff and only 4 tables occupied, each with 2 customers per table. It was really irritating waiting on even our check and see the waitress walking to the bathroom on her cell phone.
The good thing is you get a lot of food. Down side is you are paying premium price for food with zero seasoning. If you hate spicy foods, you might like this place. Crawfish were cold, had zero seasoning and the meat was either hard, or not cooked all the way. Sorry to say I did not have a good experience and will not be back.
This will be my last visit. I have a habit of smelling my food before I eat it. My fish smelled funny so I asked for another fish and they refuse to replace my fish telling me that nothing is wrong with it. I have a job working with the public so I know what that result shouldve been. Im not the type of person to confront the company or management over something like this...I just wont return for business. I work too hard to waste my money on poor service such as what I have received today. No wonder this place is empty, they dont know how to cater to their customers. I will be spreading the word.
Ordered food cooked in flour as I am allergic to corn meal, what did I get--- corn meal. I had to drive all the way back with my windows down to get the smell out of my car as it was causing respiratory issues. After getting my correct order, I sat down to eat and found two blonde hairs in my fish. I loved this restaurant but am wondering if this was retaliation for my complaint. Of course when I called to speak with the manager, I was told tbey were not in. What a disappointment.
Placed an order on the phone today 2/12/16 a total of $88.93 and they forgot my key lime pies (2). I called back to I form them and Sen said they couldnt credit my card but they could give me cash in the future. It was already closing when I got my order so I could not drive there. I believe they should have a check system in place to ensure you get what you pay for. Last time visiting or ordering from BTSF.
Very unpleasant visit to your restaurant today at 12:10. My wife and I walked in and were told to sit where ever we wanted. Had a hostess come over drop menus and leave. After watching other people ( that came in after us) receive personal attention, drink orders taken, greeted etc.........., we left 15 minutes later............During the 15 minutes of conversation and waiting we watched 4 or 5 of your employees attending to all of the other tables but ours. Upon leaving and commenting to your cashier that we were not happy and would never be back, her nonchalant attitude sealed the deal. I have lived in the area for 15 years and have dozens of local businesses we will never patronize due to the same issues. The Sugar land/ Missouri City area is too large and offers too many choices for us to spend our money at an establishment that doesnt pay attention to its customers. I assure you, I will tell every one I know ( in the area) of our experience and have left appropriate reviews online. Once we left, we drove thru Tornado Taco ( next door-the drive thru taco stand) and received better service and consideration than your restaraunt. Not that it matters, but in the digital age with feedback easily left on social networks , you might train your staff how to properly attend to customers..........
Not good I paid 1500 dollars for a half of catfish and 6 dried up scrimp I was do upset to get just a half of fish and not the whole piece to much money for waste of my time and drive wont be visiting there again I always stop by me and my husband before the Covid 19 and had abundant of food know they giving you half dont have money to waste
The Crawfish was awesome. The tails were the size of my thumb(fat and juicy) we drove to Lake Charles LA for these tasty critters and it was very disappointing. Cold, tiny , limp and very soft😵😱😨 Why, Steamboat Bill,? I go once or twice a week. They serve Hot, fresh mini Lobsters ( Crawfish ) every visit and the wait staff is pretty friendly. Great service and good times. Go suck some head and eat some tail. It will be over before u know it.
Terrible, cold food, rude staff, & manager is very argumentative with customer to turn a bad situation into a worse situation. Every Baytown seafood I have been to always cut the back iif the container to let the heat out. This Baytown seafood doesnt because their food is never hot. This is my second time gojjng here and I have had the same problem each time, Ime and my family members wont be going back there ever again. Thes Mexican manager seem to have wanted that after he kept coming to me to create an argument.
Yesterday I and two other people from work ordered lunch from the website menu and was told by the Manager and Asst. Manager that the $7.99 that they advertise on the website menu would not be honored at the establishment and if we didnt pay what was suggested that we pay, then we could go some where else because the advertisement that clearly shows the address, telephone number, and location of said restaurant was not the advertisement of said establishment therefore we bid farewell to Baytown seafood in Missouri City, Tx. Forever!!! And yes we did go somewhere else and payed the price thay was advertised.

2022-07-11The fish was horrible!!!! My French fries was burnt and hard, and my fish was , Soft and Mushi even when I asked for it to be fried hard!! Will not be coming back. And I could not make it out of the door before having to go to the bathroom Instant diarrhea!!!! And when you come in the front door it Smells like spoil seafood.

2022-07-11The smell that hits you when you walk in the door is not fresh seafood. They were out of everything except for browned lettuce they called salad. I got the stuffed shrimp that was supposed to have crab and crayfish stuffing. Im pretty sure that brown mixture they stuffed in the shrimp was the last of the boudain ball mix. Shrimp looked more like jalapeño poppers. My husbands fish was not completely fried but my daughter had fun bouncing her chicken nugget off the table. Worst $60 we ever spent! Gas is too high to waste it going here!

2022-04-15First time at this location. My husband and I got large bowls of Shrimp Gumbo and shared an order of grilled scallops. Very delicious 😋. It was not crowded. Everything was clean. 👍 Our server was very attentive and friendly.

2022-05-02Food was not as good as expected. I ordered two crab cakes,fried oysters, coleslaw and baked potato. The oysters not done they were slimy and tasted bad. Can cakes not good. Slaw good! Potato good. Got home was sick for a week. Vomiting and diarrhea.

2022-07-13It was our first time At Baytown, we’ve been wanting to dine here even before.It was great ! Good food ! Very flavorful. Service is amazing. Our young waiter is very good. And most importantly this restaurant is clean.

2022-05-16They did not take my visa gift card. If I had known there was a processing fee which I have never heard of, I would have not ordered any food. I went to Burger King the next day to test the card and had no problems. The manager at Baytown told me that they will not accept gift cards without processing fee and there for we will not be eating there anymore.

2021-03-12Great tasting food. Excellent service. It was wonderful to sit down in the restaurant to enjoy some delicious, juicy, boiled crawfish and not feel rushed. The waitress was on point with service. It was my first time. Won’t be the last.

2022-04-15It wasnt busy when several of my friends and myself arrived. It was only one waiter, he was doing his best. The restaurant became busy and the cashier decided to help. The Nats were rampant. We had to fan them away, a issue that should be addressed immediately. It was my first and last visit 😢

2021-07-05Ive never experienced a problem with this place until recently! I have been ordering Cajun Shrimp Boil with corn 1 ear ($1.00) & 3 potatoes ($1.00) which is sometimes sm red potatoes or 1 whole potatoe cut into 3 parts & the Cajun boil has always! always! been Red boil in a plastic bag & spicy!!! Recently the Cajun Shrimp boil is clear with no boil (juice) & clear colored with no seasoning!!!! & not even in the bag!!!! Is Cajun Shrimp Boil not red???!! & is the boil not in the bag with the shrimp, corn, & potatoes that it is boiled in???? Can someone explain this to me after arguing with a young guy who looks like he just came out the womb about the color of cajun(red)!!
