So I originally chose this place because of the good reviews on here. At the beginning the service was good (regular yearly maintenance on our unit). At that time we asked for a quote on a new unit for the inside of our home. After 2 weeks of waiting and multiple follow up calls to the office speaking with Lorenza, we FINALLY received our quote. We proceeded with the sale and paid cash ($3800) for the installation and told them we wanted everything new inside. The 2 technicians were here all day and seemed frustrated and in a hurry to wrap things up and get out of here. Three months pass and we turned our heater on for the first time after installation of our new unit and it powered for about 5 minutes before it didn’t power back on. They sent 2 more technicians out to see what the issue was and we were told that the original 2 technicians that had came out had wired our thermostat wrong on top of leaving the cardboard box from our new unit inside of the unit where the heater coils are!!! A fire waiting to happen! After fixing what the 1st technicians did wrong, they said they were done and it was good to go. A week later our heater wasn’t throwing hot air. Another call into Bell’s A/C and 2 more technicians out to our home. At that time we were told that the breaker for the AC needed to be replaced and that at some point soon we needed to change out the whole breaker box. Had the breaker changed out for the one they said needed replacing and asked for a quote on the work they recommended needed to be done. I followed up a week after them coming out here (last service date of 10/28/21) and then another week after that asking if they had our quote ready…I was told that everyone was busy with a big city job for the city of Ingleside and that they would get back to me. We are November 24th and we are yet to hear anything back from them. After the first couple of mess ups we were still giving them a chance but if I were you, I’d take my money elsewhere…don’t waste your time or money on this place. They didn’t want our business 🤷🏻♀️
This is not the first time where my experience has been contrary to yelp reviews.Not sure if ABC fits the category.First the appointment for inspection took time. Then, the estimator was trying to sell me saying We are highly rated on Yelp and we are busy.. , rather than focusing on current task and customer. I believe they are drowned by yelp reviews. Next, it has been 3 weeks and estimator has not responded. Then, he was spending time on my home decor rather than on HVAC issue.I would stay away since there are many other professional and better quality companies around
My ac was broken. I called them and a service guy came out. He said I was out of freon. He charged me $1936 to fix the leak and add freon. I thought everything was fine. Well its been 2 months and my freon leaked out again. They didnt fix anything. Stay away from these people. They just want to steal your money.
I live in Sumter, SC, I called because my familys AC was out, told the receptionist Melinda I believe her name was, what was going on....She had someone out in no time and within 30 minutes of them showing up, the situation is resolved and I have a happy momma and 3 non-cranky nieces! We just lost my dad in Feb and this....this restores my faith in humanity and the empathy the receptionist and techs showed my family, absolutely means the world to me. Thank you! Not enough stars in the sky to put for this company!
Bells came out during the freeze when our heater wasn’t working and got it working. 2 months later and our electric bill is 4x normal, can’t seem to get the house cool. Had another guy come out today and James had some wires crossed so our house was heating and cooling at the same time. I’ve reached out but still waiting to hear from them to make it right
I was literally yelled at. Manager raised his voice, repeatedly yelled that I dont let him speak out (I was silently listening by the way) and just hang up. Again, I was super nice and polite thought my hands are still shaking a bit. He never responded to a very reasonable questions like- COULD THE RED FLAG BE A TECHNICAL MISTAKE of a technician, first of all?- Could they please double check, do we need to touch the unit, at all?- Does the fill in has the same code as a unit repair and is is possible to fill ac without making repairs in this unit (or its an inseparable process
Hot outside. Hotter INSIDE. No AC. Called Bells AC. Bad News....He couldnt get to us the day I called. Good news***He would work me into the schedule as soon as possible. Me & dozens of others had air conditioning problems.Then the next bad news happened: my phone quit accepting phone calls. Bells called me to schedule, but my phone said not available. After trying multiple times, Bells just came on by the house.What A Great Business.Fortunately for us, the AC wasnt broke. It was just a circuit breaker and a BIG capacitor that were broke. The technician replaced both items and checked coolant level. Maybe 45 minutes from start to finish. Air blowing at 62 degrees when they left.House was cool by bedtime.HOORAY. Thank you Bells Air Conditioning & Heating. Now to visit my phone provider and see whats up with my phone.!
Website says free estimates, but they charge $95 for an estimate. I know exactly what I need and where it needs to be installed. I dont need a tech to charge me $95 to come tell me what I want. They lost my business (several thousand dollars to install a commercial fan) due to their refusal to provide the free estimate that their website claims they provide
Excellent service! We were provided a portable room AC which was our saving grace due to the fact we have a young child an autoimmune compromised person in the house. Parts were delayed due to COVID-19 but we were kept updated and instillation happened as soon as it arrived. Financing was easy and we were able to get the right size unit for our house. We are more comfortable than we have been in years due to the wrong size unit. Thank you very much for your service!
I could not be more pleased with Bell’s air conditioning and heating. Not only did they show up in a timely manner, all crew members were courteous, and professional . You can tell they had pride in their work and picked up after themselves. I would definitely recommend this company.
I went through several companies to get estimates. After some research and estimates. Bells was the right choice for me. Tom worked with me on options to reduce overall cost. Tom was very understanding and compassionate of my current situation.John and workers showed up to work and thats what they did from start to finish. They were very professional and cleaned up tidy as they worked.
I have never been more satisfied with a new service company of any sort. No “upsells”, no b.s , very professional but down to earth tech and did not uselessly charge me for an extra hour with a few min over. Will definitely recommend and will use this company for as long as I live in the area.
Ive done business with Tom Bell since his black feathered cowboy hat days and since his opening of Bells AC, he has really done me a great job, although he always did do a great job!!! Thanks for getting my AC working in surgery today Tom, your staff member was wonderful, fast, courteous. Its a heck of alot cooler today because of you!

*Posting on the behalf of non-tech savvy home owner*Came, gave estimate saying they would replace AC/Furnace and cut a hole in the closet ceiling to check the duct work. The head of household didnt sign a written contract (like I advisedif she was worried) which was her big mistake.Stuck a camera up one hole in the far end of the home. (She probably would have been satisfied if they stuck it in all the homes vents honestly.) They installed the AC/Furnace and then said they wouldnt check the ductwork without additional cost. That sort of takes the V out of HVAC installation which making it a HAC job. Any body will tell you that theres not much point to installing a new unit if you have leaky, filthy, small, ventallation. (which in this old house is VERY possible.) I understand extra costs but I find not being upfront and tricking people into the extra costs NOT excusable.Moral: this is one company you shouldnt take at their word. Always sign a contract or you could end up regretting it.

2022-06-22I know service companies sometimes promise a lot and provide little. Well I want to tell you that is not the case with Bell air conditioning and heating. I called them up about an ac problem in one of our rent houses that new tenants had just moved in to. I was hoping maybe to get an appointment in a day or so. The dispatcher in a happy voice asked “would 15 minutes work for you?” I said in my happy voice “fantastic!”Well the crew rolled up in 15 minutes. And went right to work. 15 minutes later the crew chief was explaining what they had found so far. He came every 10 minutes or so to explain what they were doing. A half hour later he gave me a rapup of the repairs and showed me everything was working properly and the house was cooling down nicely. I don’t know if they can jump on every call that fast but don’t hesitate to recommend you call if you need AC help. Oh did I mention the cost was very reasonable. Try them, I think you’ll be as excited as I was

2022-07-03Called early Sunday morning on a holiday weekend. Got a call back in less than 30 minutes with the welcome news they would be available and here before 1 pm. The technician call at 945 and his name came up on the caller I’d. Jaick said he was on his way. Arrived at 10 am and completed diagnostics and repairs and was gone after 45 minutes. Excellent young man, courteous and did a great job. I would give this visit a 15 on a scale of 1-10. Bells ac and heating company is one you can place your trust in. Will definitely be referring them to friend and family. Thanks so much for saving our weekend with family at the house.

2022-04-05I called the company on a Monday morning. The representative I spoke with was very friendly and courteous. Within 3 hours a pair of technicians was at my house. The techs were very professional and walked me through what they were doing and seeing. They got the job done quickly and at what I believe is a reasonable price. Overall, I will call them again next time I need a repair or service.

2022-09-09Our unit froze up during the night. Thawed the system out but it froze back up. Called to try and set up an appointment but was told that they were backed up due to the rain that we were having and it was going to be next week before they could get out. I received a call shortly after and was told that they were able to rearrange the techs schedule and would be able to come check our system. The techs showed up and had us back up and running in about an hour. The techs were very professional and were extremely cordial. They explained every thing they did. It was so refreshing to have work done and have techs act like they really cared about your situation.(something you dont see much these days) Will definitely use again and will recommend to others.

2022-06-26Were in Ingleside Tx. A/C went out on a Saturday. We called Bells Sunday morning. John Heard came out about an hour after we called and quickly diagnosed our aging AC unit, replaced the faulty part, tested the rest of the system and had us back up and running less than 2 hours after our initial phone call. Fast, friendly, professional, and honest about what our unit will need in the future. Well need to replace the AC unit soon, and when we do Bells is getting the business. 100% A+ service. Look no further, this is the company to trust.
