I moved her at Benton Pointe about a year and a half ago. The first year I was here was good. The apartment did not have all the amenities that I am used you, but it is very spacious so I dealt with the lack luster appearance ,but now I amh aving issues with KY new upstairs neighbors with excessive noise issues and I cant speak to Emmy or to voice my concerns . Very disappointing
Property is okay good looking units . But the front office is atrocious. Never answering phones when they do they are sarcastic and rude . Today they start by sending random men that they hired to paint to your door with with a copy of your keys with no notice or call . Calling them to figure out what’s going on and they don’t call so I have my gf walk up there just so she can see the phone ringing and them not busy just refusing to deal with problems they created. So now I’m in my apartment and it reeks of spray paint just do yourself a favor and live elsewhere bc not to mention the he Pool here hasn’t been open for a year so when they pitch you being close to the pool keep in mind it’s never open and the volleyball Court is cover with huge rocks .
Its ok. Absolute bare minimum for premium pricing. Maintenance has gotten better, then are less then 24 hours typically responding to issues for the most part. The gates never work, ever. Tonight it’s currently 121 am on way back from hospital and the gates wont open. Love living here! Since the new company has taken over, the pest issue is overwhelming. Massive ant piles everywhere and in first floor apartments, RATS destroyed everything we had in 2 garages. Never had an AC or Heat issue likewise internet, however the plumbing is a disaster. Toilets overflow constantly, the water is disgusting and non potable. Its like a white thick color and you can see the oil and other sediment floating at the top. All appliances are pre 2010 or older. The dishwasher “works” by flooding. Sadly your paying for the zip code which is A++ im Texas, but getting C- Dallas quality. Rent increased 107% since 2014. Theres 0 parking on side 1-9. So expect to pay additional fee for reserved parking, otherwise they will gladly tow you for commission.
I have been here since 2018 and I love this place. Quiet and clean. Pools look good and they ensure the walkways are clean and patio washed everyone and then. Repainted the entire complex, looks wonderful. Maintenance are some of the coolest guys, very respectful and efficient. Office crew especially Emily, awesome people. Great place to live
Wanna give a special THANKS to Emmy in the leasing office & also Tina the manager...They teamed up to make my move-in roll very smoothly! Im not easily satisfied, yet they exceeded my expectations & handled EVERY request that I may have had! Thank You very much...I will definitely recommend Benton Pointe to Family & Friends!
I love where I live and appreciate all the staff. My only complaint is that when repairs are needed they are not priority. We have had a hole in our ceiling for 5 months now and per the fire department it should have been done very quickly. Also, the common areas outside the apartment is always dirty.
I had high hopes for this place. Everything seemed fine at the beginning but as soon as I moved in, I found so many problems. The plumbing was broken, two of the ranges on the stove stopped working, and the apartment was full of bugs and roaches. I contacted the apartment reps and they said they would look into it. After several days going by I received no response. I kept calling and still nothing. Then the bathroom stopped working altogether and I had to move to my uncles house until they fixed it. They still havent fixed it in over a month and have charged me for multiple months of rent even though there were multiple problems making the space unlivable. They offered no refund and are extremely rude when dealing with me. Stay away and save your money
Update 09/20/2019Tina has resolved pretty much all of our issues (renewal and noise complaints) as of today. My spouse was very impressed with how well our issues got handled and we appreciate Tina taking care of our family. We will be renewing our lease today! If you move in expect to have your rent go up over $100 come time for renewal (we aren’t renewing by the way), probably why it seems like everyone is always moving out. The current pricing for rent is not worth it for this older apartment complex. If you do move here make sure to live on the 3rd floor because these apartments are very noisy. We have complained to the office about noise and they either don’t contact us back or tell us that they will “take care of it” but then 2 days later have the same noise problems. You shouldn’t have to call more than once or twice for a noise complaint and also shouldn’t have to explain yourself about a noise issue..... There’s mold in our apartment that got fixed with paint or something of the nature (I can still see the mold that was “taken care of”). Office staff is nice other than when you have complaints. The maintenance team does come out quick and takes care of all easy jobs very well!! That’s the one plus about the apartments :) They have asked us to give them a review for a Starbucks gift card once... As I look for reviews and take them seriously please do consider the things I have written as they might help you find your home!
I am no longer at Benton Pointe as of April 2021 but as the former business manager and resident at Benton Pointe my family and I loved living at Benton Pointe. I enjoy my career in multi family and love taking care of residents and doing our best to make everyone happy.I like the challenges the position brings and like to see residents happy when they leave our office. I do have to follow the TAA lease that is in place but a team I manage can do this with empathy and good customer service.BP was my home for 8 years and we loved calling Benton Pointe Home.
I have been a long time resident and I am happy where I live. I would recommend. I live on the top floor so it may seem a bit more quiet compared to first and second floors. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Maintenance requests typically take 24 - 48 hours to respond to and they leave a note inside when the work is complete. I havent had any issues with the apartment itself. The layout is great because it combines the kitchen and living room into one space. Rent is reasonable and location has great access to 75 and 121. I dont plan on moving any time soon as I just resigned a long lease. The staff has been accommodating throughout the years and know me by face and name when I drop by to ask a question. While the complex may be almost 18 years old... it doesnt have the appearance of being old as they update and modernize units from flooring to fixtures every-so-often. The apartment is better now than when I moved in over a decade ago. Thank you Benton Pointe for having such a great space to call my home!
From the beginning that I decided to move to Allen I saw from outside Benton Point apartments and thats exactly when I knew how much I wanted to live here and be part of the community. I dont even have a month but I already feel like home. Units are precious and mine has everything I need. The girl in the office are AMAZING! I cant thank them enough for all they have helped me. I totally recommend this apartments not only because they are beautiful inside and out but the location is absolutely amazing.
Ive been a resident for almost 3 years Benton Pointe staff continues to amaze me. The staff is always welcoming and friendly and can provide a good laugh if you need it. I am constantly reminded that this is truly my home away from home.Im sending a special THANK YOU to Tina and the entire staff for their hard work and follow up. She treat the tenants like family and if I need anything I know she is willing to assist.
This has been one of the best apartment complex weve lived so far.The staff is super friendly and always respond to your queries. Ask for Tina (the manager) shes great!Another thing to mention is that the maintenance staff is great and fast to respond whenever you submit a maintenance request (at least during regular business hours). These apartments are located close to major highways (75 and 121) and a couple of miles away from Allen Premium Outlet. The apartments are pet friendly and have their own bark park. Also, they have a trail path on the back that we love, its like a mini forest when its spring and summer with all the greenery and the small creek.Overall, highly recommended to live here.
I moved here about 8 months ago and was satisfied in the beginning. The model home is beautiful but the actual one is not. Finally, management helped to get a new kitchen appliances that are same in the model home. But this is not the end of story.I had several issues with plumbing like leaking and couldn’t use all cabinet at kitchen and bathroom due to odor.Let me tell you this is an “old” apartment.Recently, I found the mattress and floor carpet (I placed it on the floor without frame) got wet and damaged (mold).I had to file the claim to my renter insurance for the office is not responsible for property damage. The insurance examiner couldn’t proceed it for the office said it got wet from the window.I was told that the window was not shut properly. However, I never open the window and it was locked. How can the locked window is not closed completely?I had an issue that I want to contact the office manager but couldn’t get his/her phone number but only provided email.Guess what? I sent email and didn’t get any response for few weeks. And the gate was not working for months and one day I had a guy rang the bell asked for donation. But who knows if he was asking donation for real or not?I didn’t feel secured while I stayed there. Now I left the apartment for these maintenance, service, and security issues and many others.Considering moving? You should not consider this Benton Apartment.
I could say a lot as I lived here for over 2 years. The complex is habitable, but good luck with parking and having guests over. My friend had his car towed once and my partner (who had her car on file) had her car towed on 3 occasions, costing over $1400 collectively to get them all out. You can read other reviews that seem to indicate predatory parking/towing practices. Also, I had many issues with the office staff. Specifically the complex manager Tina. Too many issues to list. That was honestly the biggest issue. I had several accusatory calls from them over the course of my time living here. For example, about 5 months ago I received a call from Tina stating the neighbors were complaining about a barking dog on my balcony. The issue was I did not own a dog. That could have easily been looked up in my leasing documents that I did not own a dog. She then proceeded to say well I guess Ill go check for myself and see and just overall had a attitude with me. It seemed that she did not believe me. I had several issues like this and have them documented. To be fair, I would probably run out of characters on here before I could detail all of them out.Overall the residents were... Interesting. In the building where I was at, there is this lady who is always nodding out/passed out cold on her 1st floor balcony. For hours on end, day/night, hot or cold. She wasnt ever a nuisance, but myself and my friends noticed her several times. I also called the ambulance when someone else ODd in their vehicle one night. Also had to call PD when some residents/kids that shot out my window with a pellet/BB gun.I guess I enjoyed the pool though when they had it open... That was okay... Be careful though if your a female and their after dark. I personally didnt have any strange encounters but my partner did a couple of times. She stopped going to the pool by herself. The apartments served its purpose, but I am glad to have a house now...
Family of squirls living in the attic right above my room for years. Althought the montly bill have fee to cover pest control and I reported the issue many but nothing ever done about it. I keep hearing scratching noise directly above my desk as if they going to drop down from the cieling anytime.
My wife and I lived here for a year. Great location. Modern unit. Quick response from staff on the rare occasion we had a maintenance issue. It was our first time living in an apartment we found a remarkably quiet. All our neighbors mostly kept to themselves however were very polite. Nothing at all like I expected of living in an apartment complex. We were both very pleased. We would move back to Benton Pointe in a heartbeat if we ever relocated back to Dallas and where to live in an apartment complex again.
My wife and I have lived at Benton Pointe for over two years and have really enjoyed living here! The staff has always been very nice and helpful! The apartments have many great amenities, such as washer and dryer, pools, grills, basketball court, and gym. Its location is perfect for shopping or getting on Highway 75.
Since the storm hit, the owner is too cheap he is fixing the apartments with only two people. I had to live outside my apartment till they fix it for the past 29 days and till now they did not fix it. I had to pay bills on it even though I did not live in it. Absolutely garbage management and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT RENT HERE. I will be calling better business bureau on them
My brother and I have lived here for almost 3 years now, and we really have no complaints. The staffing and Tina (Manager) have been so great to us since we’ve lived here. If something ever messes up, or needs repair, the maintenance guys are here within 24 hours, if not earlier. Also they’re very sweet!Jenny and Tina have always been so helpful, and are the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Very loving and caring to their residents. To them, residents come first and I think that is the most gracious thing ever. We’ve lived here for so long now, and we don’t plan on going anywhere anytime soon! I can’t wait to sign another lease at this apartment complex!!
The living experience at Benton Pointe has been less than satisfactory to say the least. My husband and I have only been here for six months, however we have experienced maintenance walking into our unit twice without any requests issued, construction workers entering our patio without consent or forewarning, as well as one fall into a water main valve hole due to the cover not being shut. Alex is the only employee who seems to genuinely care about the residents and should be promoted into management over Tina. Tina, the property manager, does absolutely nothing to ensure the safety of her residents. When confronted with issues they are shrugged off with the generic rubber stamp apology with zero sincerity or change. This is a far cry from the service level, and standard of living expected for nearly $1200 - $1400 (electricity not included) per month for a one bedroom unit. Rent is never consistent and rarely coincides with what is in the contract, the $28 valet trash service (which is a mandatory charge) is a joke. Valet trash, as stated in the contract, is supposed to run Monday thru Thursday, 6-8pm, which more often than not, trash is still out the next morning. If you recycle, do not place the bags out for valet as they will not be properly taken care of as it is not included in the mandatory charge. If you recycle and use the special blue bags, and choose to dispose of it yourself in one of the many designated bins throughout the property, you must be careful about when you put it in the dumpster or risk a $25 charge per occurrence as they are convinced it is still trash. Please, stay away from these apartments as well as ANY owned by this same company. Please, ownership, do not bother responding to this post with your generic copy-and-paste unhappy review response of: Thank you for your review of our community. I sincerely apologize if your experience as a prospective resident at our community was not to your satisfaction. Please let me assure you it is not the level of service that we strive to provide as this is EXACTLY the level of service that is to be expected and received on a very consistent basis.
I have lived in Benton Pointe Apartments for two years and have absolutely loved it. The staff is receptive, caring, and easy to reach. The ground improvements and upgrades have skyrocketed in the past two years! We back up to a 5 mile jogging trail that is gated. I feel very safe and secure. Walking to distance to grocery store, Lowe’s, Hobby Lobby, Nail Salon, Torchy’s and Pei Wei. Maintenance staff responds immediately. Benton breakfasts, annual garage sale, events have built our community. Couldn’t be happier!
My husband and I moved into Benton Pointe as our first apartment. We love the open concept kitchen and living room, as well as the LARGE bathtub and roomy bedroom. The apartment itself we love. Its a shame that the gate to the community never works and that parking is really a struggle at times. The staff has always been very kind and helpful, just a little disorganized with documents. I recommend keeping copies of everything. It is very storage friendly. Each unit comes with an outside storage closet for all those moving boxes and other things you dont have room for inside. And the walking trail right behind the apartment is SUPER nice for you to actually get outside without having to drive anywhere!
Worse place EVER!!!!!! I currently live here and I regret in 100%.Building is old and not kept up, they don’t fix anything, like the exit gate by or apartment, people come through the EXIT gate as people are Exiting, I have almost gotten hit with MY SON IN THE CAR!!!! I have complained as do you know what happens? NOTHING, I have also sent an email to the manager saying if this is not fixed I will call corporate, and again NOTHING HAPPENS, can’t wait to move, I hate this place, can’t believe I gave them a second chance
Never Ever rent here!! The management is a total fraud. They never fix anything till months later. No parking spots at allll. The owner is one of the maintenance people he does maintenance work so he saves labor. The manager belongs to her house and nowhere else. i do not know how she became a manager from the first place. PLEASE PLEASE SAVE YOUR SELF HEADACHE AND DO NOT RENT HERE
I was parked in a regular parking spot and managment had their towing company come out and changed the spot into a handicap spot. They changed the spot while my car was parked and didnt bother to notify me. When I went to ask the staff at the front office about my car they had me speak to Tina. This is when things got worse, she had the audacity to blame me, making it seem that I just parked in a handicap spot and didnt realize it... She did not become apologetic until she called the Towing company and they verified that they changed the spot while my car was parked there. This has been the most frustrating experience I have had with this place so far. Tina didnt even offer to try to make things right she just tried to blame everything on the towing company saying, they need to make it right as if the apartment complex had nothing to do with it. In the end they simply brought my vehicle back after they realized the royal fudge up.
Do yourself a favor and live somewhere else. They say apartments rarely have good reviews, but trust me when I say this complex deserves every single bad review it gets. Just run. Far away.-The staff are blatantly rude and unhelpful. You know they dont care about customer service when they call tenants liars and they themselves lie to your face.-If you come home after 9PM forget about having an unpaid parking space, let alone have company over to visit.-Management simply doesnt know how to manage. Parking is a huge problem and they dont have any viable system in place to police it. Also, when a horrible roofing fiasco left MOST top-floor apartments FLOODED, they dragged their feet for over a month to make the apartments livable.-Management NEVER warns you when they send people into or around your apartment. I once had a maintenance man come into the apartment while I was in the shower, and they didnt even supply him with the alarm code!Ive done my part, and still left a lot out. I just pray you read all these reviews and avoid making a lifestyle mistake.Oh, and dont bother sending a reply back, Benton Pointe. It would be one of the most disingenuous things Ive ever experienced.
I love living here. Every time Ive needed help, the ladies in the office are more than happy to give it to me. They even follow up with me to make sure everything is okay. Theyre super sweet and genuine. Ive only had one issue with the on call, maintenance but my office ladies quickly helped me! Im so glad I didnt let these negative reviews affect my decision!!
This is my second attempt on giving this place a bad review, since the first one was unable to be submitted...after I wrote a long review. But once i clicked on 5 star with no written review it did submit!! what a joke!! of course i went back and deleted that 5 star review! that place is a mess.I have lived here about 2 years now, The first time I seen the apartments, They look GREAT!! BUT, after we signed some paperwork and ready to move in, we had some issues. First, the lady who was helping us was telling my husband how much she hated the apartments, and that she will be leaving soon. woww... wait a minute, why wait till after I sign the lease!I liked the apartments because I wanted my son to stay on the same school. Our first year we stayed in building 7. WORST SIDE EVER!! we didnt have any parking at all!! we had to park on the other side of the apartments, once the apartment was so full, My mom called me to pick her up, because she parked at Lowes. which is across the road from the apartments. There was always issues with parking, never took care of it, i would always come home, have to call the apartment and let them know someone was parked in my spot, I spoke to Chelsea and Tina, they couldnt not do anything for me expect i would HAVE TO pay for garage or a reserve sign, WHICH!!! I got a reserve sign and my car got towed because Tina gave that reserve sign to me and some other person who lived in that building. They end up moving me to another spot, had 2 reserve signs, that i paid monthly, it was a waste because other people would still park there. It gets worst, During Christmas, all the gift for my son that we got from our families, they were so unorganized, they said I didnt have any package to pick up, I didnt get them till my mother in law had to call them herself with track# and did get the package till after new years. my packages have never been on time, i would always get it 1-2 weeks later. once it was time to renew my lease, I did stay but asked to be moved on the other side of the building, on my last 2 weeks staying on building 7, I still paid for my reserve sign, Tina has given my reserve sign to someone else, so the last 2 weeks i had to deal with parking, again parking on the other side of the building, it might not sound far, but doing every day after work and have to carry my little, i did not enjoy that!Tina offered me a reserved sign for 6 months, at no charge! that sounds GREAT! once i moved in (building 13, on the opposite side of the apartment), she said I didnt need it because there was a lot of parking spaces on that side i would be moving too, of course you would offer me free reserve sign for my car when i didnt need it. I do have more to say about this apartments, I could write a long book but its limiting me and i cant write anymore of the horrible experience i had with this office and still having to deal with. will try to write another one later.
If I could give them 0 star I will do they are so bad Management after 3 months when I left the apartment they send to me bill 350$ because of damage on the carpet or The apartment its not a clean !!!! and they already took the deposit $200 ... And they left me stay with leaking roof For 3 months they didnt fix it they said to me you have to wait your turn !!!!!👎👎👎👎
Update as of 9/20/19The apartments are still noisy and that won’t change, but all my issues in regards to noise that can be taken care of have been by Tina. We also weren’t going to renew but we now our. Tina has treated my family great since I’ve reached out.PS maintenance is still great :)Maintenance and location are GREAT! The reason my review has 2 stars, other than that I’m not sure if the complex it’s self deserves them.We have been here for about 4 months. To start out almost everything in our unit has had to be replaced. On day 2 we had no lights in the front of our home (breaker had to be replaced I believe). After that we had no hot water for 4 days and the water heater had to be replaced. Then our fridge leaked and would ruin food (which had to be replaced). The last thing that was just replaced was the dishwasher because it would randomly not work. All of those things did get fixed in a timely manner even tho it was on the 3rd/4th work order. We live on the 2nd floor and the noise is horrible. I can hear when neighbors take a shower, watch tv, are getting home and walking around. Its super annoying because this is our 3rd apartment complex and have never had noise issues. Also there are many dogs in the complex. We do have 2 dogs but they dont bark at everything they see so it doesnt make since as to why I hear dogs 24/7. Sometimes youll get woken up by dogs barking or your neighbors being loud upstairs.Overall I wouldnt recommend the apartments unless you dont mind noise. When our lease is up we will most definitely be moving... sad to say because we moved from Dallas to get away from the noise and ended up having more noise than we have ever had.
I recommend Benton Pointe apartments to anyone.Benton Pointe apartments are quiet and clean. Benton Pointe has walking trail around property, two pools and fitness center. Resident events once a month and many residents know each other. Residents wManager is available for any questions or any concerns. Ladies in the office Emmy, Jenny and Chelsea are always very helpful and nice. Maintenance team does a great job.
While the location is nice and the apartments are decent, the senior management staff are deceitful and unscrupulous. They consistently took advantage of us at every opportunity through overage fees, denying promises made, and false statements about how things work.As a background, I am a senior executive for a Dallas based software development company that sold my house and temporarily moved to this complex while my new home was being built. It was a disaster from day one.If you decide to make this complex your home (despite the continued and consistent negative reviews) be sure to get everything in writing with signatures by senior management (Chelsea or Tina), with photos, times, dates, and accurate descriptions. Leave nothing unwritten, because any prior conversations or promises they make will be denied or refuted if it involves any accountability on their part.To this day I am flabbergasted by the nearly fraudulent and corrupt manner in which they over charged us, and I assume the rest of their residents. Dealing with the senior management was the most unprofessional and absolute worst experience Ive had in decades. Liars through and through.Rarely do I write negative reviews because I believe everyone has bad days, but the consistent unprofessional interaction experienced at this location was not just a bad day - it was a bad year. Make somewhere else your home.
My family and I have been at Benton Pointe on the 27th of May 2017 and this complex gave us something we didnt have before at any other place and that was a family friendly atmosphere. The office staff is super helpful and very friendly and willing to help. The property is beautiful, the neighbors are friendly and you can tell most of the people have been there for a while, which tells us they love it just as much as we do. The parking is not very good, BUT the management staff is working to get that corrected and I havent been to one place where the parking wasnt terrible so I feel like thats kind of hard to accomplish for apartments, especially when its a huge property. The Management staff is also working to improve parts of the property that are outdated and they are always looking for feedback from residents. I love it here and so does my family and I will be very sad if and when we ever decide to leave to move to a house.I LOVE BENTON POINTE!
Benton Pointe a community I can call home. Not only is the staff friendly, attentive, and caring, but the community is amazing. The grounds stay clean. Its close to all the shopping you could imagine. The grocery store is within walking distance. The amenities are amazing. Couldnt have found a better place. Highly recommend.
If you would have asked me how I like these apartments about 4 months ago right as I renewed my lease here I would have said I love it and have no complaints. Well I highly regret my renewal. I live on the first floor and about 3 months ago the people on the third floor had their hot water heater blow which not only flooded their level but the second level and my apartment. Ever since then I have had issue on issue happen. I have to call about something every week. I have had my A/C stop working numerous times and I keep getting told it needs new batteries. I have also had a HUGE insect problem. Roaches, spiders, gnats, and some other bugs that I have never even seen before. Have had them come out and spray three to four times in the past 2 months and the issue is still not resolved and has been told there is nothing else they can do. I can NOT WAIT until my lease is over.
I wish I could give Benton Pointe zero stars!!! I lived in the complex for almost 6 years... My walls were cracking, a/c didnt work for 2 of the years, I have lead and other heavy metal posing.... I personally had to pay for the air ducts to be cleaned... The management kept all criminal activity hidden including a shooting were medical waste was blowing around for weeks.. Not to mention one summer i had mold growing on my walls after I returned from summer holiday.. I also had a paid parking spot that I rarely got to use. Management informed me it was the residents responsibility to have cars removed.. So they took my money for it and didnt govern it. When all was said and done and I moved out... I was informed of my 171 dollar water bill for a one bedroom apartment that was vacant for one of the two months of said bill and ten dollars for removing a shower tension rod I have forgotten to throw out. AFTER PAYING RENT ONTIME FOR 6 YEARS!!!! Not to mention giving them the benefit of the doubt on all of the issues I had endure along the way.
“Home is where the heart is” and the staff at Benton Pointe put their hearts into everything. Each unit can have small individual adjustments to make them personal to you just as a home should be. If you want an accent wall, just choose your color. Many first floor units have small yards off the patio to provide a home feeling in the complex. I rented my apartment online from 1800 miles away, but I’ve been happy with my decision for over two years.
We have lived here over 3 years. We really like the hike trail we are next to and the new dog park. The office even likes when we bring our dogs in to see the girls there. When we need something they take care of it right away and they call us to follow up. The events they have are great and food is delicious! We will renew again
This is my second time living here, thought it would get better. When I moved in my apartment was not ready on day they told me. The patio has paint stains you cant get off. Its going on two years, last year my water heater broke. Water in living room and neighbor down stairs, they did not come right away. I had to figure out how to turn water off. They only put padding under carpet, did not change all carpet. So it has a smell, when you take shower the bathroom accumulate mole around window. Maintenance takes forever to fix something. I found mole around my refrigerator today. The outside of apartments look good, but they are so fake. If I would have know what I KNOW now never would have moved here. Its time to buy a house.
There are reasons for all these low ratings, and I m trying to make a non-biased review on this apt complex after being here for 3 whole years. Yes, they have tried to improve the outlook, conditions and overall cleanliness of this 18 years old community, and have recently launched some interactive marketing programs and events trying to get everyone involved. However, the staff in general are just not responsive in solving our problems. They have a “I don’t care less” attitude and basically either you have to find your own way to resolve them or argue with them until the roof drops. e.g. I have told them numerous times that we have foundation issues with our building, but unfortunately no one ever came to check out what happened. Our walls cracked, our bedroom doors close by themselves and the carpet already shifted by a few inches... but who cares?? I guess if the building won’t post any immediate danger they won’t ever come to see what happens. Another good example is about the community gates! I would say 80-85% of the time they were simply non-operational, wide-open, or retarded on one side... I mean, how hard is it to make an electric gate working reasonably reliable? It’s not some sort of high-tech rocket science, or is it? And if they are too expensive to maintain, I would prefer not having them at all! To be honest It’s not helping much to ensure security of the community as outsiders can simply wait for a few mins until someone comes in or gets out... IMO security cameras probably would work better in deterring thieves from coming in.... Another time, I made a partial payment online before the rent dues, and on the next day I was trying to pay off the remaining balance, however, the system was requesting a full payment instead. I immediately talked to one of the management staff face to face and emailed the manager twice as well but ended up receiving “0” response on how to resolve the situation. Is this the way they said about caring their residents? If yes, they deserve a solid 1-2 stars rating all day long.
I have lived here for going on 3 years. It used to be under a different manager. I will tell you things are MUCH better. A lot of people on here are complaining about the parking, the parking is NOT THE MANAGERS FAULT!! She did not build the complex, nor was she there when the complex was built. Yes there is a parking problem on the north side of the complex. Either deal with it, or buy a space for $20 a month. I love where I live. I think a lot of people on here are just mad because their needs didnt come before everyone elses. Yes a home with the heater out when its 32 degrees outside is going to come before your leaky faucet thats just annoying you. You have to understand that there are A LOT of other people who live there and maybe 5-8 maintenance workers. Cut them some slack.Keep up the good work Tina you are always fair and make things right when problems are brought to your attention!!
Ive lived here for almost 2 years now and im extremely disappointed in the move to our new building that happened almost a year ago now, but I feel very compelled to write this review now. This past month we were told we had to pay a little over $3,000 for our rent when our bill was $1,300 like it should because they lost our check for December. DECEMBER 3 months later. After spending a good 3 hours looking into everything between apartment complex and our bank we got our proof we paid. They are constantly changing where we are supposed to pay rent so things get very confusing. I know we live an apartment and neighbors can be either nice or hell, most of the people we have met here or come across are very friendly, nice, helpful and some are inconsiderate as Im writing the post at almost 11 oclock at night on a weekday where Im usually up at 7:30 AM for work my lovely downstairs neighbors decided to drum or play music at 10:45 at night on weekends sometimes weekdays the drumming or music starts between 7:45-9:30 AM its my days off Id like to sleep in just a little. But gosh damn please be freaking considerate on what time you want to practice your drums or play your music. Same with when you want to drill or hammer stuff as well I was trying to take a relaxing bath after a long hards day at work and all of sudden stuff on my bathtub started falling, stuff on my walls started falling this was 8 oclock at night like do that during the day or the weekends during the day. I would not suggest this apartment complex even to my worst enemy!
My husband is a reasonable guy who gives others the benefit of the doubt. He is a guy of few words but doesnt mind speaking up for what he believes is right. My husband works hard in the hot sun, rain, sleet and snow 6 days a week. Like other residents he pays a large amount to live comfortably as well. He sometimes like to relax and work on a hobby that he is passionate about and when youre paying a large amount of money to be safe to work on your hobby you should be able to without being told No or threatened by management. Residents without color has garages and use them for their own purposes and whatever their hearts desire with that being said, I have witnessed refrigerators and other electrical equipment being used as well as car parts being used to work on vehicle and motorcycles are they getting threatened? But because he has it.....it becomes a problem. He receives emails at 10 at night from management about nonsense that could wait until the next day. To me it seems to a little discriminatory because of his skin color. There are some African Americans that can afford the finer things in life as well. These apartments are not worth moving too. Its like living at home with your parents, but I believe you would have more freedom there than here.
This is one of the worst apartments you will ever live in. They made our lives hell for 1 year we lived. It took weeks before any of our maintenance issues were fixed. Once we were locked inside because the door wouldnt open. The manager had the nerve to tell us that we would have to wait till next day. Thankfull we were on the first floor and ended up using our patio door to get out. There were water leakage from the room on the first floor apartment and mold everywhere because of that. Getting our mail was a huge problem everytime. The staff is the worst you will every encounter. The manager is clueless. Do yourself a favor, find another apartment, even if it is more expensive. It would be totally worth it.Also, they sieze your deposit and send you a cleaning bill on the top of that even when you have cleaned the apartment. They reported us to the collections even when we have pictures to prove that the apartment was cleaned when we left.
My family moved across the country to Allen and lived here for 3 long months. While most of the office staff was very friendly and seemed like they wanted to help, this apartment was just a headache for us. We rented a garage to store most of our belongings while we looked for a house to purchase. Upon moving in , we could not get into our garage. Our movers had to wait unreasonably for the office to come unlock it, meanwhile, we were paying the movers by the hour. Once opened, we could not lock the garage to secure all of our precious belongings because they hadnt keyed the keypad yet. When I asked when they would do this, they said soon. For 2 days, our things sat in an unlocked garage, while we waited for them to get to it, while praying no one stole our things. After that our garage never worked correctly and it was a gamble whether or not wed be able to get in or out....a problem maintenance never remedied. The day we moved in(104 degrees), our A.C. broke which led to a very hot welcoming first night to Texas. During our stay, 3 shelves fell out of the cabinets, leading to broken dishware and glasses. Upon further looking the shelves were mostly held up by cheap plastic brackets and toothpicks!!! Our garbage disposal backed up and our dishwasher stopped working, for a good month before we moved out. The shower water never got cool, and when you have a broken A.C. and its 100 degrees, all you want is a cool shower. The water was so hard that my skin perpetually felt like it was on fire and itchy. The pools were beautiful but were closed far too often due to algae and chemical altering. Many times on the weekend, Id walk my 4 yr old to the pool, only to find that the maintenance guy had neglected to unlock it for the day. So disappointing. We had many packages delivered while living there and the office neglected to let us know when we had one waiting. My daughter got birthday presents from cross country grandparents late because of lack of common sense. When questioned, office staff replied, well you should know when youre expecting a package! Rude. The capstone was when we had a certified piece of mail overnighted involving the purchase of our new home to get out of there and they neglected to tell us it had arrived. Towards the end of our stay they started to call, so maybe they finally got the picture. The gate to the trail and gates on the driveway never latched/ worked so the security of the complex was always compromised... something as a mom with a young child and a husband who works long hours was very important to me. We couldnt wait to get out of this place. So much poor customer service and just poorly run.
If I could give zero stars I would. We have been here for 6 months. A couple months in our neighbors moved, they broke the pipe to their washing machine, my whole apartment flooded in minutes and it took a couple hours for them to control the problem and send someone to clean it up. Another problem, our RENTAL car got towed and management refused to send a simple email to get us our car back. They have a contract with a tow company that will tow your car at any time. Im very, very dissapointed with management, as a resident I expect them to help by any means necessary and they refused. The location of this place worked for us and I was glad for that but I cant understand how we can pay so much monthly, NEVER late, never had a complaint against us, very quiet people and they refuse to help us. I tried my best to like this place but now I am no longer interested in what they have to offer. I refuse to renew our lease when that time comes around.
If I could leave zero stars, I would. One of my family members lives in these apartments, run by complete monsters. Over the years theyve taken away nearly all of the visitor parking so as to force all residents to pay even more for overpriced, old, moldy apartments (literally had mold in their apartment at one point). It also makes visiting a complete misery when every single visitor spot is taken. They have tow trucks coming all the time to further crush those who are already struggling to get by. Whatever you do, dont live here.
DO NOT COME HERE!!! People were rude and the environment was disgusting. I saw literal COCKROACHES crawling around. The place smelled horrible and people who lived there seemed dangerous. The place smelled like weed. And the prices were outrageous for what they offered. I don’t recommend this place and for your own safety do not even consider entering this place.
We have lived here for almost a year and had plans to renew our lease until today. Todays notice made evaluate the pros and cons of living here. The parking situation is terrible. Dont come home late on a Friday or Saturday. You wont find a parking spot. I paid an extra fee to get a garage to park at my house. The gates are broken a lot of the time. Todays notice from valet trash said we must pay $50 for trash violation. We never received a warning in the year that we have lived here. The valet trash attatched a pic to the notice. I admit that I did put the trash outside my door but according to their rules, it should be a warning. 2nd offense is fined. I could have overlooked the faults but when I called about the fine, I decided not to renew. Valet trash refused to remove the fine. Benton Point refused to remove the fine for a first offense. We just received papers to renew our lease at a discount. Frustrating place to live.
Dianne at the front desk hangs up on the tenants constantly would not recommend due to lack of basic customer service. AlsoThe turnover was done by a 10 year old the light fixtures they installed in the bathrooms are not even leveled. Closet doors do not even close properly. Dirty and scratched vinyl floors upon move in. Only the master bedroom cools down , both of the other rooms stay at 10 degrees hotter than the rest of the house. The icing on the cake they sent a floor contractor and this inbred human decides to slam on my door. Find better contractors
I have lived at Benton Pointe for two years now and will not be renewing my lease. The apartment grounds are nice for the most part. Although it can look a bit unsightly when people decide to stack trash and spare furniture up around the garbage area. The apartment was acceptable for a while, I suppose. However, about a year ago a leak in the roof was sprung and after many, many, many, complaints, it has never been addressed. I now have a huge stain in the living room over the entertainment area, and a few large stains in the spare bedroom. Every time it rains I worry that this will be the time that the ceiling will give way and soak my entertainment center. Fortunately, it hasnt happened...yet. At times there is a weird smell in the apartment that I attribute to mold most probably growing from the leak. Whether its true or not, I have no idea. But I regularly have to turn on the AC Fan, the ceiling fans, and open doors to try and vent the smell out. I would have opened my windows, but the windows have always been broken and have never opened for me. The maintenance staff came by to take a look at the stains a few times, but thats all they did. Oh, and the staff are supposed to inform you of when theyll be coming into your apartment, but 9/10 times theyll just show up. Sometimes they dont even leave a note informing you that they were there. I had to set up a camera in my apartment just to be aware if people came into my apartment while I was away or not. Make sure you set up the AutoPay if you move in, because if you forget and are even an hour late after their payment window, youll be charged a $75 fee with no way out of it. My dryer that the apartment complex provided had huge issues and would either burn my clothes or something else that caused a stain. After a few complaints and pictures proving the marks appeared after the drying process, they eventually replaced it with a very similar old dryer. And guess what. The replacement dryer had the same problem! I had to start doing my laundry other places because they wouldnt fix the issue. All in all, its a place to live. The apartment was quiet for me and I had no issues with my neighbors and the area felt safe. But with the *horrible* management and overworked and understaffed maintenance staff, the complex is not worth the high prices they are charging. My rates went up every year. This latest year the rent was going up by about $100 a month. The gates coming in and out of the apartment are constantly broken, and while I didnt frequent the pool areas very often at all, many times at least one was closed due to maintenance. The management in the complex have changed about 3-4 times in the past year, so if one manager agrees to do something for you, you better get it done quickly because they wont be there for long to honor their promise. My lease is up here within a few weeks at which time I will be moving to a house. I fully expect to not get my deposit back due to something they find to be wrong with the apartment. Heck, theyll probably try and use the stains on the ceiling as a reason for me to not get my deposit back. I wouldnt be surprised if they tried to find some way to charge me for it. The complex was convenient for me due to how close it was to my work and it served as a place for me to reside for two years until I could get a house, but man, I cant wait to be leaving.People were complaining about Grande and Coserv. While its true that these are the only two options you have for both Internet and electricity, I have had no issues with them. I have found Grande to be a reliable and fairly affordable internet service provider. They offer speeds up to 110mbps down and 5 (maybe 10) up. I was paying about $50 a month for 50mbps internet and basic local HD channels.I only ever ran my AC unit at night and kept it at 79. My electric bills for my third floor, two bedroom, apartment were about $70 a month on average.
Management is dishonest, rude and sloppy. The grounds maintainenance crew pulled a rusted water heater out of a lower unit spilling rusty water all down the common stairs. It was left there for several days and stained concrete and tracked into apartments. On at least three occasions they would leave tags for repaired items that remain in disrepair, it could take several 3+ visits to resolve a repair issue if repair was complete at all. Lawn crews constantly tracked mud over pathways and sidewalks without cleaning and trash service comes late at night, is noisy and leaves debris and broken or spilled items.Complaints to the office and manager fall on deaf ears.If against all better judgment you do live here get everything in Writing- take photos at move in and move out- demand a walk through at move in and move out. Get everything in writing and photos of all signed copies and continually verify and confirm your billing and agreement records. The staff will lie about move out damages and not follow up with proof of made up damages to justify charges. They are making money on move outs and pocketing it. Shifty at best and fraud at the worst.
Been living here for about a year now and have had nothing but issues with my A/C. I like to keep it on 70 but I’m lucky if I can even get it to 74 I have to call maintenance about once a week to add Freon to my unit,it’ll stay at 70 for about a week/week and a half then it won’t cool anymore like today 9/3/18 my ac is showing 77 I even have it set to 73 but management won’t get me a new unit so I’m about to see if they will at least let me break the lease.ive lived in the ghettos of Irving and even those apartments had better a/c this is unacceptable for what I pay
The property manager, as well as the assistant, ARE AWFUL. The PM claims to care about people and residents.... she doesnt. She leaves for half of the day getting nails done and her hair done. She then turns on her employees and says HORRIBLE and untrue things about them. Slanders them and then creates a very hostile environment for residents and her employees. Doesnt do her job and then pushes the repercussions off onto her staff. Very unprofessional woman and should not have ever been hired in this industry. Time to retire old lady. Do not rent here. You will hate it and wish you would not have.
Horrible space!!!!I have lived for 2 &half months.I could not agree more with what people wrote reviews on google. My living room is covered with mold. It comes from the wall.I asked to clean & fix a wall to office, but they just sent an email. Do nothing.Im sick and tired of their management and horrible place.I visited office 2~3 times per week for a month.I asked to remove installed wash & dryer, but they left for a week. And I contracted to use covered parking, but they didnt tell me for 4 days. They overcharged a rent. The refrigerator is a lot of noise.Landry place so small, the dryers vent is not working well.If you want to live with mold and ants. my place is 2nd floor. You want to experience something special, I recommend BENTON POINTE APARTMENT.In my experience, someone need an apartment, read a google review.I recommend several other reviews.- Bad maintenance and bad management.(Please read 1 star reviews)- Taking parkings out left and right with assigned BS parking spaces...no parking after 9 PM(They charge just spot for $20, you have to pay for the standing sign. $35 covered parking, over $105: garage)- There are HUNDREDS of ants that live in the walls so when its cold they swarm your entire apartment you cant ever get rid of them!!(I told you... also I live with mold.)Please someone think live at BENTON POINTE, you will be sorry.
This is the last place I would advice anyone to live in. They have very limited parking which they dont mention before you sign your lease, most of the parking spots are already reserved and good luck getting home after 8pm , youll have to pray for a miracle if you wanna find a parking spot anywhere. You can only use their utility companies, light bill was always over $300 but the AC never worked even though they were always saying they took care of it. The electric company told me I had to wait 5 months to check my bill and usage because they had many costumers . They made me pay 1 months rent as deposit, when I wanted it back they made up charges and lied to take my money. For 1300 light bill not included there are nicer places to live that wont cheat you out of your money, they have no respect for residents or care , after you sign your lease youre theirs to fu*k over and over. BEWARE DO NOT MOVE HERE I cannot say it enough money is all they care about.
Lived here for 10 months, and cant wait to be out. The apartments are falling apart, 2 broken A/C units and a water heater. The walls are paper thin, they are constantly looking for ways to fine you. No parking unless you pay for a garage, because all the reserved parking spots take up the parking that they dont offer anymore. The gates for the community are never working, and the list goes on. Trust in the 2.5 star review.
Very loud walking neighbors upstairs. Maybe it is an old apartment. There’s no noise absorbing thing between floors when they build this apartment. There is no carpeting on 2nd floor, you may hear when they running around the house. I live in 1st floor. Nightmare on every morning and evening. Front gate never cloesed. Feel insecure for night walking. Office staff are extraordinarily kind. Except the noise from upstairs(trust me, it is like pounding your head really hard for 2-3hours everyday), there’s not much of bad impression of this community. I would have give 4.5 if office could help me with the noise upstairs.
Let me start by saying we toured this apartment over a year ago and decided not to move in because the parking is AWFUL! fast toward to now my fiancees best friend live there ! They love there apartment (hence why we toured) they also hate the parking. My fiance and his best carpool to work and he rides with his bestie. He doesnt park over night ! His car was towed today!!!!!! He wasnt parked over night wasnt parked in a reserved spot, wasnt parked any where he shouldnt be!!!!! When he went to get info about why it was towed and WHERE he wasnt given any info was told it was his fault and was not told were his car was towed just given a phone number !!!! Im enraged ! They are also adding more reserved spots there is not guest parking and you have to pay extra every month for a reserved spot ! They are obviously making money off of their horrible parking lot !!! Bad business! I cant recommend this place at all! Also if youre going to be a shady business and make money off of towing cars and making it impossible to park your customer service should at least be great!
This is one of the worst apartment complex I have ever lived in. Poor service, no parking and the worst of all, bad maintenance and management staff.I lived at Benton Pointe Apts, Allen Texas from June 2015 till June 2016. I was forced to move out of the apartment due to discriminatory and racist behavior by managements and some of the staff. These incidents happened quite frequently and on multiple occasions over a period of 12 months. Instead of resolving the issues, the problem got worse every time we reported the incident. As soon as we reported the incident, they turned around and laughed at us right on our back. When we moved in, they refused to open the wide gate for the move-in trunk. As if the wide gate is not for moving trunks, what are they for? decorations. Our mails were almost always lost and after multiple tries and after a few days, they would accidentally be found.Once we were locked inside the house and maintenance guys did not come to resolve the issue for hours. Their pools are out of service most of the time during summer.BTW, the entire complex leaks when it rains. There is no parking for the residents, forget about the guests. If you are of Indian or of Asian decent, Stay away from this place.
Well where do I begin! Ill start with the good Alex, she is amazing everytime I call she always makes me feel like im the only resident. She always makes me feel like she feels my pain and frustrations! This young lady is amazing. Now with the rest of my review.Tina, Tina Tina Tina wow is all i can say. She admitted on the phone that everyone complains about the parking and i can either buy a spot or deal with it. Excuse me maam im paying 1475 a month!!! Thats right folks im being ripped off!! I had no choice when I moved i was about to be homeless and had no option! She had me beilve I was renting luxury! Well jokes on me! Old carpet, Old appliances, My garage has gunk on the floor which im sure , she will blame on me and pursue payment for! She doesnt care that I have to either wait for parking or adjust my life to ensure my two vehicles are parked safely. An I use safley, lightly because just about anyone can get thru the gate because, yup thats right it works only about half the time!! She simply does not care because she knows we are going to pay rent. I should have just continued sleeping at my office, then ever renting. But, lets rewind just a tad signing my lease, yup thats right Ashley did not have my Luxury Home ready. It was not clean I had to take off of work to ensure it was clean to the simpliest standard! Old carpet, old appliances, old old old!! I was shown a unit wth all wood and fireplace and updates!! Well yup they bait and switched me! An refused to move due to no apts ready! O but wait now they will and of course i will have to pay a fee. Rent is a joke it will vary so dont try and set a budget. Because they will nickel and dime you to the poor house. Valet Trash is a joke!!! They come whenever they want!!!Im conclusion, avoid this place unless by the grace of God Alex becomes the property manager. Now I know she cannot fix my issues but at least she talks to me. Offers advice, understands my pain and suffering. She doesnt treat me like another check! If you want sub par management for a luxury knockoff go for it! I hope your home early and dont leave im serious park and stay!!! An I am breaking my lease and have obtained a lawyer because you dont treat people like this. Especially a Veteran that trusted you!!!Alex please stay awesome!!! An im also reaching out to the city of Allen to see what can be done about the parking!
This was absolutely the worst place I ever lived in, I do not know where to begin on this review, I work for a property management company I will not State which one, but in my career I have seen a freaking 711 ran so much better than this place. The staff is very unfriendly the main lady, Tina, is more concerned about what she is going to have for lunch or shes going to talk down to you like everything is your fault in your apartment when it is their responsibility to fix or repair anything that is wrong. And then Ashley is so stupid sometimes, no, actually all the time that you can ask her a question about almost anything and she a pause and look at you like a damn deer in the headlights. I lived there for one year and I could not wait to move out after only 6 months of living there. The entire staff in my opinion is the worst staff management Ive ever seen, my dead grandmother can probably run it better than they can. Oh and they also nickel-and-dime you for everything youve got, when I was living there they try to add on a garage that I did not sign a lease for and charging $100, and then they wanted to try and tell me that it was my responsibility to make sure my floor was fixed after I filled out the information sheet that you get when you first move in. It took a year for that floor to get fixed and then it didnt get fixed after a year, did they feel concerned about it? No. And the maintenance crew haha where do I begin on those guys, the maintenance crew, seems like just a bunch of guys hired off the street, they ride around in their golf carts 99% of the time. They had to constantly put refrigerant into my AC unit 5x in 6 months I told them it is their responsibility to fix the leak or receive a fine from the EPA I am very close to a lot of vendors and a lot of clients. I urge you not to move in this place you will deeply deeply regret it within the first 3 months like my wife and I did and then if we parked literally over a white line barely an inch you will be towed for double parking and then youll have to pay $300 to get your vehicle out of the impound in Downtown Dallas I know this because I experienced this and then Tina said oh well maybe you shouldnt have parked that way what kind of customer service is that customer service is not in these guys, they do not know how to talk to people nicely nor confront them about anything. Oh and on top of that they sent us an eviction notice after the fact that we are have paid our rent three days before then so let me remind you these guys are complete and utter idiots I feel sorry for anybody who has to live there now. They say they take pride in taking care of this place? Pssh. They take pride in taking your money and giving you the finger. Then they charged us $120 for carpet that should of been replaced on their own dime. After 3 years carpets need to be replaced. Thats policy for residential property. It was well over three years and they told us because it was so badly stained. Uh-huh hello! Carpet that old will be torn up,not because of a dog you idiots! Do yourself a favor. Keep looking. And anything thats operated by BH MANAGEMENT keep going all crap!
4 years here, glutten for punishment right...Still amazes me that they can’t keep the pools up and running. I’ve never experienced this anywhere else, (Dallas or Austin) pools closed after it rains or for regular cleaning. Every other complex on the planet has figured out that you do this early in the morning, so everything’s good by mid-late morning when people want to go out. Or if there really is an issue with the pool, you rope it off so people can still use the lounge chairs and grills. Love paying for a pool area that is unavailable 90% of my days off.
So Me and my Fiance paid rent in December but since they were changing the portals somehow are money got sent back. when we noticed it got sent back we went to the bank and got a cashiers check so we didnt get charged late fees . so now we are into march and we get our bill for the month and its over 3000 because they lost the 1400 that we paid back in DECEMBER. We finally got it sorted out after about an hour with the bank. My fiance then went up to them with a money order because the bank was closed Till Monday. So my fiance goes back up to the front office to give them a money order just to find out that they dont accept money orders. The lady that she was talking to was extremely rude about and told her well werent you just at the bank. I have lived her for almost 2 years and with them hiring new management its getting worse. As soon as my lease is up i will be moving because this is just ridiculous.
So I found Benton Pointe while I was searching for an apartment Benton Pointe was the first apartment I did see and I saw a few others before making a choice but the staff and environment out here makes you feel so at home I love my apartment I have a beautiful view in the morning at sunset and at night this is my very first apartment and so far Benton Pointe has made me feel very welcome here I wont be moving anytime soon I love it here best first apartment ever Tina and terresa and all the rest of the staff made this move so much easier for me I was nervous and scared to live on my own but now Im more relaxed thank you guys for making my first apartment one Ill always remember
DO NOT MOVE IN! We have lived here for almost 4 years, the first year we thought was great, the second year.. ehh... could be better. The third year we really wanted to move out but couldnt afford the move. This year we dont care the expense, we are getting out. This place is awful. The office staff will ignore your complaints, when you need something fixed, they find a way to blame you, and they will do what ever they can to get as much money out of you as possible.
A lot of these people who are reviewing probably have not stayed longer than one lease. If you don’t understand that life and things happen then EVERY place you go will be awful. People have to realize that everyone is human, my fiancée and I both have lost our tempers with management and have complained several times. But that was in 2015, I then got out of my selfish mind set and realized that I am not the only resident at this complex. The more I talked to Tina and ACTUALLY LISTENED instead of arguing with her I understood why things were being handled accordingly. We pay a lot of money for what we live in, and what you live in is Allen, that in itself is the reason for the price and the fact that your literally right next to 75. I recently got back from traveling to a third world country and it actually makes me sick that people complain about walking to their apartment. There are others out there without homes to walk to or a car to park in a spot. Realize how blessed we all are to be where we are. Stop being so selfish and understand that everyone is learning and trying their best. The office staff I don’t know because they don’t communicate very well with eachother so I always go directly to Tina. Tina, you rock and I appreciate all that you do for us and how understanding you’ve been with us. We love this complex and Tina. If you don’t like the price then get out of Allen because the location of these apartments are so accessible to everyday things and amenities like food, hw 75, Walmart, Kroger, and both watters creek and the village of allen are relatively close.
I have lived at benton pointe for year and half and will not be renewing again. Service has been bad. No one seems to care when you call the office for maintenance. they constantly forget to come and do the work and they simply dont have enough people in staff to maintain the place. When they come to fix anything they always have to come back for something more. Cant wait for june to get out of this place. Gates never work. They work one day and dont work the 29 days of the month. Only person thats trained and can handle things well is Patrice in front but she is one. My advice stay away from this place. Tons of options around.
Nice looking apartments, but the rest is terrible. The floor in our dining room is coming up and they told us they wont fix it because then they would have to tear the entire floor up. Also not enough parking, and they will tow residents, but let visitors park in the parking that you pay for in your rent. Ridiculous.
Although we werent able to afford an apartment here Jenny gave me all the info I needed to fix some old tenant debt. She was very informative about what I needed to do and what they can possibly do to help me out. W/o her help I wouldve been running around like a dead duck.
Gates never work, pool is never open, dog crap everywhere you walk, noisy noisy noisy, people drive like maniacs through the complex, and the electric company (CoServ) they have contract with is RIDICULOUS the rates are through the roof!! They also have a contract with Grande communications which forces you to choose this unworthy company for TV or pay $250 to put up a satellite dish. The dumpster is always full and people just throw their trash wherever they want. There are HUNDREDS of ants that live in the walls so when its cold they swarm your entire apartment you cant ever get rid of them!!And the most important thing of all is the staff are CROOKS and LIARS! I will not be renewing my lease and I will never recommend this apt to anyone. READ THE REVIEWS!! YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED
I moved here since 2016, I used to live so peacefully in a 1st floor apartment until they decided to removed the carpet from second floor unit. Now all day long I hear the resident footsteps, the yelling on a fight and even when they’re having sex, just like a cheap motel! 🤬🤬 Unfortunately the only response I got from the office was...”Well, move to a third floor” 🤦🏻♂️
The buildings are old, poorly maintained, staffed by management that is rude and unresponsive, and lastly and most importantly: Parking! They sell all spots covered, garage, and uncovered, so this means if you want a spot to park in close by your home when you arrive at the property after 8pm on any given day you are out of luck. Awful look elsewhere Allen and Plano have plenty of choices.
I wish they had an option for less than one star. The leasing agent Alex neglected to mention all the upfront costs until after the $400 nonrefundable deposit and admin fee was already payed. Spoke to the manager and she was more concerned with what her next meal was going to be. Absolutely disgusted with the conduct of this establishment.
Theyre unable to take partial payments which is huge problem in a roommate situation. Theyre also not willing to waive any late fees due to circumstances. Account manager states that the property manager is the only one that can authorize waiving, however, property manager states they are not allow to.
Horrible customer service spoke with Ashley at Benton Pointe on 03/18/2016 at 5:06pm. I asked questions about my contract and she had no idea of anything I asked her to transfer me to someone who can help and she said you will have to wait I cany help you and stared yelling at me so i yelled back to her. She my name is Spanish she had the nerve to tell me over the phone my name is Ashley just in case you cant spell it and start to spell it out. This girl needs more training if she cant handle the type of questions us the customers have she needs to go back to training and if hates her job and wants to take it out on customers she needs to go find another job.I DO NOT RECOMMENDED THIS APARTMENT COMPLEX TO NO ONE, EVERYONE DESERVES RESPECT AND YOU WILL NOT GET ANY HERE. .If i could i will rate this -1 starBest regards,Neyla Garcia
Horrible place. Nothing works. Bad maintenance and bad management. Every time you have a question manager says its our corporate or we get this from that and gives you number that doesnt even work. Incompetent manager. I am moving out of this place when my lease is up....dont waste your money here...there are better apts available. Stay away from BH Management all together.
THEY MAKE YOU LIVE UNDER THIS HOLE FOR MORE THAN 2 MONTHS AND AFTER THAT THEY ASK YOU TO PAY FOR DAMAGED CARPET AND GENERAL CLEANINGBAD BAD COMPLEX Apartment complexhorrible lease office, they will rob you as soon you leave them,I had roof leaking and they fix it after 50 day I reported it, and they had to come back again because is started leaking soon they left, imagine to not use the main living room for more than two months and you have to kids, and 3 months after I left the apartment, they coming back again to charge for carpet damaged which is already damaged from the roof leaking, note that they did not return my $200 depositBad lease officeBad Service
Im giving 3 stars for a reason, me and my wife moved in to Benton apartment on the 27th we have loved it so far being here, But yes parking is a mess and I do understand Benton apartments are handing, and so far theyre doing a good job, BUT I WAS SO GLAD WHEN THEY GOT THE GATE FIXED, AND THEN WAS VERY UPSET TO SEE ANOTHER REASIDENT HAD BROKE THE GATE AGAIN, soon after they fixed and then sure enough someone brakes its again, then they fix it again, and so on and so on, and this is actually pissing me off, Benton point management Please do something about the fact that the gate continues to broke when another resident cant get in, sending out Email about our key fobs isnt working because idiots out here dont seem to want to read there emails when they need to, I was happy moving in knowing that Im living in now a gated community but at this point, what is the point in the gates when they continue to get damaged by idiots that live here and no ONE from the company does anything about it, security systems or something,Either way me and my wife and son Love living here an would greatly recommend it to friends and family,
Lease office is not honest, dont trust them, force them to have every thing on paper or email, they will promise you to help and they will do the exact oppositethey will promise you to They compensate you for their failure but soon you turn your back they will charge you for their failure.Ill attached a lot of pictures for what you have done to me lease office
After 4 complaints within the last month about my air conditioning my 8 month pregnant fiancé and I were told today they can do anything about our AC and that we should “ shut some vents around the apartment ” and point a fan at my new born baby to keep her cool. I’m spending $2000 a month for a third floor apartment just to come home and sweat.

2022-02-17I’ve lived at Benton for about a year now and it’s been an overall positive experience! This is my first apartment so I feel like it’s a great starter place. Maintenance is awesome, quick and very reliable. Parking can be rough sometimes but other than that I think this is a great place to live. I also very much enjoy how there is a lot nearby. Restaurants, grocery stores, the mall, etc. Overall would recommend!

2022-02-17I initially chose Benton Pointe for the nice amenities, specifically, the walking/bike trails, fitness center, and dog park. However, what makes this complex feel like home is the staff. Manager Emmy George is amazing, and she has an awesome team working for her. Me and my dog Sophie enjoy going to the office just because it is so inviting and they are so welcoming, kind and giving with the treats. Also, whenever I have had problems or issues with anything in the apartment, it was handled immediately and to my satisfaction. A big thank you to Emmy, Teresa, Raymond, Kimberly, Katerina, Sean, Todd, Ricky, Kevin, and David for caring about the needs of the residents and for maintaining the complex and keeping it looking spiffy. Yall are simply the best!!

2022-04-02This is my second time living here. I loved the property but did not like my apartment so we left. Fast forward 6 years later and we are back again. The property is still pristine and our apartment is absolutely lovely! The staff is awesome. So far I have had the pleasure of dealing with Melissa, Theresa, and Emmie. All of them where wonderful and super helpful! I highly recommend Benton Pointe to anyone who is looking for a community oriented apartment. 2 thumbs up for sure!!

2021-12-12I do enjoy my apartment living experience thus far at Benton Pointe apartments. The community is beautiful, clean & safe. My unit is a bit dated, including appliances however, they have just started updating my apartment in particular and they just put in a new stove. I do appreciate Emmy the new property mgr who is very responsive to my concerns about how dated my unit is and she is currently working to update my appliances. I am excited to see the new updates to my unit.

2022-06-30My family and I moved to Texas from Illinois and we visited quite a few apartment homes and while there were several that were on our list we chose Benton Pointe. Teresa from the leasing office handled everything for me and the process went so smooth. Since being here it’s been very peaceful and quite. Very family friendly environment and it has spacious living quarters.

2022-03-195 stars to maintenance, Ricky helped me twiceOnce carrying my couch when I first moved in and again helping me with a duplicate of my key when I got locked out (out of his working hours) and the older maintenance guy is amazing too, always in a good mood and mentioning he loves his job. Also management is way better nowThey’ve being hosting several events for resident and kids which I don’t believe they had before.

2022-03-21This review is for the initial leasing and move in since we just moved in a week ago. The process was very easy thanks to Raymond in the leasing office. He has been super helpful with any request I had. Even on move in day when the system was down he was able to take care of everything for us. Apartment is clean and so far looks like we will enjoy living here.

2022-03-22I lived here a couple of years. The neighbors above me and the neighbors down the hall were SO loud. Always slamming doors. It often startled me while I was sitting there watching tv. Also when I had a maintenance issue they would come quickly but they wouldn’t actually fix the problem. Everything was outdated. It took maintenance 10 months to fix a microwave handle that was half way off. The doors were all messed up and they tried to fix it but I still could barely close the patio door. Bugs were constantly coming in because of that. Neighbors weren’t friendly at all. A few of my packages were stolen. I just moved out and got a 1500 fee. I hate apartments. I’m moving into a home and never will deal with the apartment life again. I wouldn’t recommend this place. The only good thing was my rent was 1040 for a one bedroom. Now they are charging 1300 and up for a one bedroom. Don’t move here. Way outdated for that price.
