Best Buy in other cities:
Hope Best Buy is survive! I know all electronics can be bought from the internet online stores, but I love the idea of people helping me pickout my options, Best Buy employees are best at this. I dont know about others locations, but this one give me good feeling about buying my electronics item. Also, they always have special deals.
The slowest service I have ever received. William (Samsung corner Assistant) brought the wrong phone model at first, it tooks an age to wait for it. Also there was a really loud noise from maintenance, if you can avoid going to that best buy and do everything online, do it.
Garbage customer service. Bought a dishwasher at this location. It has now broken down twice in 2 years. They tell me it will be 2 MONTHS until they can get the parts to replace the parts.Went in to the store and the Manager in appliances says You will just have to waitDO NOT BUY ANYGHING FROM THIS LOCATION
Summary: lots of parking, great inventory, mystery pricesDetails: this place was full staffed with about 30 friendly employees who were very curtious. However, I was one of 2 customers at the time I visited. The prices on the Smart watches were not clearly labeled which I found annoying and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5.Also some shelves were noticeably empty.
Some older not so gentleman was quite bothered by my asking where to find a charge power pack the portable kind for my cell phone, so much so that his response was basically, that way with zero eye contact and while walking away. He did not like it very much when I pointed all of that out to him and insisted he acknowledge his disrespect, provide some type of explanation: I assured him anyone else would apologize but it was fine. I somehow shook it off and as I head walked towards the front of the store, the same employee was telling a coworker I was stealing and yelled to security to playback the tape, something about me taking an alarm off of a product I HAD IN MY HAND!!!Needless to say I left very upset and expressed my decision not to spend my money their ever again.
Uselessness staff don’t help at all all they do is say we don’t have this when it is clearly there at the site and if you confirm with chat or call before you arrive then they say we don’t care what chat/call support say hope it was possible for negative rating don’t go here go to another outlet or Order online I also had to stand and wait for 1 hour before someone finally came to help and after that he told me to check for the product over there and left….
I ordered and paid for an expensive tv at the Research location on the website. I live by Andice, so I drove an hour cause they were the closest that had it in stock. Waited 2 hours for them to get my order ready for them to tell me they didnt have it. Then told me I can drive to South Austin or Bee Caves to pick it up. I canceled the order and Amazon is dropping it off at the house in a couple days. Worst shopping experience ever.
My wife and I signed up for the TotalTech program and have had three visits from Geek Squad technicians in the first three months. We have already saved a lot of money. The technicians was friendly, responsive to our requests, and solved our problems. The last technician came to install hardware that would boost our poor internet service. He tested our system and found our real problem was with the slow speed provided by our service provider. We returned the hardware to Best Buy and increased our internet speed greatly by changing our service provider. Best Buy may have lost a sale of over a hundred dollars but we will remain loyal to a company that acts with such integrity!
They are the friendly neighborhood best buy for me. Very clean store and super helpful staff. I love how well maintained this store is, I like it better than the Cedar Park location. This is super conveniently located next to whole foods in the Arboretum. I usually do my pick ups here, very convenient - just enter and take a left and have your ID ready. There is a pickup only parking spot right out front for those quick pickups. They have a nice entertainment area that is specially setup with Samsung and Lg OLEDs so that customers and try them out. I love the kitchen appliances section as well as they have a special Samsung section with the amazing Samsung smart fridges - super fun. Most of the stuff are usually in stock here. My favorite Best Buy location.
5/20/21: I came here last week to pick up a small item that I required, but I had my toddler with me. I didn’t have time to get my toddler out of the car and everything, so curbside is my go-to when I have my child.Except it took one guy 30 mins to get to bring my order to me. 30 mins! Imagine trying to entertain a toddler in their car seat for 30 mins. When I checked in, it said the wait time was only 5 mins. I was expecting no more than 15 mins. Then, I noticed him having an entire conversation with a customer for a good 10 mins. Within that time frame, 3 other employees came out I am assuming for breaks. I don’t know how this guy has his job if he’s just lallygagging around the parking lot. I attached a photo of the guy standing and having a good ol’ convo with someone in a car.And now today, in search of my drivers license which I seem to have misplaced - the last time I had to take my ID out was here. I tried calling at around 10:15am on a Thursday and the automated message said this location isn’t accepting phone calls. WHAT world am I living in?! How are they not accepting calls?! I’m not going to drive there just to figure out whether they might have found my license. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE. This is how you lose customers. Unlike USPS, who never answers their phone calls, I have a choice to stop shopping here.————————————————————-Original review: A lot of helpful people that walk right up to you and asks if you require assistance. We were literally in and out with our purchase because of the helpfulness of the associates and that they were able to ring us up on a separate register towards the monitors.
I love Best Buy because of their diverse selection of electronics AND appliances. Their Open Boxes can have some great deals. Their TV selection is great and having knowledgable, non-pushy sales people makes the purchasing experience even better. I use them for most if not all appliance purchases for my home and rentals. Their 5 year extended warranty has never faltered me when I needed it. Easy check out process. I would recommend getting their credit cards for some bonuses and interest free payment plans. Helps out with large purchases or when buying a home and needing to furnish your entire new pad. Recommend you try them out.
Purchased a washer from this store and after waiting a whole week for delivery, no one showed up even though I got a confirmation email. I had to call customer service and waited 30 minutes to get the news that I have to wait another week for delivery. This is very unprofessional, there should be a better way to communicate with your customers. Very bad experience, I wont be purchasing any major appliances from BestBuy again after this experience.
Had an unfortunate experience on 9/25... my birthday.I went to best buy to get an oculus quest 2. Online it said they had them. I went there, asked the woman by the door if they did to be sure. She replies I dont think so, but let me check. After a few minutes of watcher her fiddle with a phone I hope was required to check their inventory, I finally ask where Id find them if they had them. Just at the end of this first isle🤦🏿♂️ I found at least 7 behind a locked case. I ask the first employee I see for help getting one out and he says they already have someone on the way. The young man who shows up, without a key, finally gets one out and I purchase it along with a cable to connect it to a computer. Poor service so far which I didnt expect from best buy but the best part is the same woman I asked about an oculus felt the need to check my receipt on the way out. The previous person leaving did not get checked. 🤔🙄 as Im leaving I notice an employee also exit the store and awkwardly stand by a car in the line of site of mine👀👁Did I mention I was with my 5year old niece 1year old nephew and my brother? 🤯 😂🤣 if yall think I could steal from you... I appreciate the compliment.
Have good pricing on some things. But this day I was in a jam and ended up paying $65 for two cables that I could have go for $20 onlineBut even though that didnt happen to me at one point in time their computers and printers and even TVs are always competitively priced.
Largest Bestbuy in Austin. They have it all here and out on display for you to see unlike other stores that have limited selection. Lots of staff to help. They have a huge appliance section (Pacific) and an entertainment (Magnolia) section as well. A lot to choose from. By far the best buy I have ever been to. You will enjoy it as much as I did.
Needed a computer - as I had to send my newish laptop back to Acer (under warranty issue). Found a Chromebook that would work - placed an order online & literally 9 minutes later I received an email that my order was (ALREADY!) Ready for pick up! Impressive! Checked in for curbside pickup & someone brought out the Chromebook in just a few minutes. Exceeded my expectations on promptness!! Wish other stores would follow this avenue of prompt, polite & efficient customer service!! TY!!
Very unhelpful in the store. Got an attitude from the guy checking me out for double checking if something was on sale since the price he told me was different to the shelf. Not to mention me just asking a simple question and getting a rude and short answer from a Samsung rep (William although that may not be his name)....whos literally getting paid to help, but is too busy on his own phone 😒 yall are tripping at this store I swear 😂 not the first time Ive had a bad experience here either.
An archaic is kayak weird display adapter broke on my work computer. I came in with the part and this gentleman helped me To figure out a new way to accomplish the same thing since since we could not just replace replace the old adapter that I had that had been broken. This young man in the computer department was super helpful and did not try to make me purchase more than I needed and he really spent a lot of time and didnt make me feel embarrassed because I as I dont know the terminology and I call a lot of things thingamajig or thingie. At other best buys I have had less than steller experiences, where they would be condescending because I didnt know all of the terminology. But not this location, It was a really great shopping experience. Other than the price of the laser ink cartridges, although Best Buy is one of the lower places to purchase them, they still cost quite a bit. All in all, a pleasantly productive and helpful trip!!!
Have made 3 purchases recently. One was pick up and we had a good experience as the guys helped load even though it was raining the moment we got there. The second was delivery and it was delivered next day. No issues. Happy to have this option. Today we went to the store and was disappointed of so many employees standing around that seemed bothered when we asked for help. He didnt really answer my question and left. We found the tv we wanted on our own. We had to keep pulling up the website to find out details that are not provided at the store. Next time, we are sticking to online purchases to avoid those employees that dont really want to work.
Bought an $1800 refrigerator last November. Signed up for Best Buy credit card and rewards program. All good so far. Tried to use my reward points today. (Should be worth $165) Turns out points had been automatically converted to certificates which should have been Emailed to me but were not. These certificates expire worthless after 2 months. Whole thing feels like a scam. Will be avoiding BB in future. Might be time to short their stock! :-)
I placed an order with for delivery for the next day and I haven’t received my order and no communication what so ever. I keep checking my order and it keep say waiting for pick up for delivery and I order my item 10/27/21. I would think if your website says next day delivery shouldn’t you honor what you post your website. Now I have to drive down tomorrow to pick up my order.
Best, Best Buy store I’ve ever shopped at! (No pun intended) pre & post COVID. I was always given the best expert advice and most importantly genuine willingness to help me. I never felt dumb asking a question I didn’t know. Thanks to ms Veronica and her home theater team for helping me visualize what I want in the future for my future apartment. Will be buying my new tech stuff at this location and this one only. Thanks guys!
Kinsey M. did a great job handling my in store exchange this evening, after a dealing with a series of phone calls to best buy corporate with my exchange I came in a tad frustrated and unsure if I was going to even be able to make an exchange of my gift. Kinsey not only made it look easy, but had a great attitude and was genuinely happy to help me. Thanks for representing your store so professionally and doing such a great job Kinsey!!
Id been on the phone with Best Buy customer service for 2 hours when they transferred me to this stores phone to try and handle a problem with getting me a phone I pre-ordered that was never delivered. Customer service suggested that I purchase it through the store specifically when it came back in stock.I got connected to Kenneth Hodges from asset protection and he was the first person who was entirely clear in how best to proceed. He told me the best option was to have them reship it (which Ill be calling customer service again when I have time to do it) but it was so refreshing and helpful to talk to someone who was honest and straight up with me and made sure every step of the way that what he was telling me was clearly stated and accurate and that I was still following.People who are this good with resolving issues and dealing with customers are the real reason Ill continue to shop with Best Buy. Customer service in general was unhelpful and confusing and Im so thankful that I got connected to Kenneth specifically in the end to clear things up and genuinely help me.
Best Buy has invested in hiring and training it’s employees which is a resoundingly positive move. Employees are product experts and do an excellent job of assessing needs to find the right product match. As a consumer I felt very understood in my needs and the salesperson gave me a thoughtful citation of choices and a good criteria to assess with. I was very happy with my choice and continue to be, which is the biggest factor.I also have appreciated how easy the store is about returns - although I wish they had a 30 day return window as a standard.
Went in to buy a 75in TV looked around the store for about 15 minutes and no body wanted to help me. So I went down the street to Costco walked in and had someone come right up to help me and in less than 10 minutes walked out the door with my TV. When your TVS are the same price as other places customer service is what makes sales or looses sales, just my personal experience....
Kind of basic for a Best Buy. Did not have what we were looking for in stock, and the employees were less than helpful and essentially told us to just go online. Store was crowded and very few people were wearing their masks correctly if at all. Ill probably shop here again, buy likely sparingly in the future.
I came here to get some of the things I needed to help my technology life work more smoothly. The young fellow at the information desk first said, oh Google Pixel! Everything for that is on the endcap.Well, it wasnt but probably because my question was not specific enough. I went back to him 3 or 4 times with followup questions.Every time he was very helpful and very knowledgeable.
We needed a new dryer that day, and we found that almost everywhere was facing a shortage of appliances owing to the pandemic. Best Buy really hooked us up, Aaron with customer service had an open box item that we got for a super good price, and the staff were happy to help with finance terms, bubble wrap the item, and load it into my truck in the rain. It was a terrific experience.
They took more than 20 minutes for curbside pickup. There were no other customers waiting at curbside pickup. They kept seeing customers at the desk but couldnt fullfil my order from curbside. Guy at the front desk wouldnt even call the manager for me or offer me any help other than you will just have to wait or make the line in store. Oh, and they dont pick up the phone either.
Daisy helped me and my brother in law get new phones and get them all set up and activated. She offered the geek squad coverage which we obviously got because its a great deal. I always come to this best buy when I need anything having to do with a phone and I always leave happy.
Fairly low number of shoppers. Several shelves were bare and had trouble finding what I was looking for. One young male employee asked to help then walked away without a word when I told him what I needed. Very disturbed by a group of male employees loudly yelling in the TV area. Apparently it was over some inside joke, but highly unprofessional when they could be heard at the front of the store. Manager?
The store was pretty quiet and I really didnt know where to find what I was looking for. I walked around for a bit before an employee asked me if I needed help finding something. They showed me where to find the item and all was good. The employees were friendly and I enjoyed seeing all of the new gadgets out there....technology has come a long way!!! Best Buy always has the latest and greatest stuff! Happy shopping!
I was there the other day to get mobile phone as my carrier did not have satisfactory options. I was uped by a guy in his 40s, and his knowledge was very comprehensive. I asked for a phone at a modest price that had some unusual features typical of the European market, and he found EXACTLY what I wanted in 3 minutes. We geeked a lttile and he checked me out.It was good customer service, which I usually expect in this store, but the deep technical knowledge of oh yeah, I know what you need was excellent.
This is the worst most BS Best Buy I’ve ever shopped at. Their representatives are bad for the brand, treat people poorly, and will come up with every excuse, not to help you. “Worst Buy” This is finally being written after the fourth or fifth time with the same experience. Try caring...
The people are usually friendly. I had my remote starter installed here and received great service and a great deal. This is my second one done here. 5 stars for the gentleman that installed my remote starter.10/29/202030 minutes on hold. You would think with so many other options and stores closing that BB would try a little harder with their public relations.
Employees it seemed to be a little disgruntled I asked for help with an item behind a lockbox. I was wanting to get the new Beats headphones employee acted a little attitude with body language because he had to go get the key to unlock it. As well as commented well yeah I got to get the key. The way it was said was really
Do not trust their delivery service for their products. I ordered a washer and dryer. They gave me a 2 hour window of 1-3pm. I didn’t get a call or any communication that the delivery was going to be late. They didn’t show up until 6pm. It ruined my entire Saturday. The only good part about this purchase was the sales associate in store. Their delivery is not trustworthy and sketchy. I called customer service and they only offered me a $25 Best Buy gift card. I am livid about their terrible customer service for delivery, lack of communication and terrible compensation for when they make a mistake. I will never shop here again.
Three weeks ago, I purchased two very expensive i-Phone 11 Pros from the North Austin Best Buy store. The salesman who sold us the phones was in a huge rush to finish the sale and move on, assuring us that everything was in order. Since then, weve had nothing but nightmares with both phones. (The reception has been abysmal and the phones wouldnt couple with our home computers). When I went back to the store for help, the Best Buy experts told us that our issues were either with the new carrier (Verizon) or with our computers. I contacted Verizon tech support and was assured that my hardware was working correctly. Finally, after a COMPLETE lack of assistance or accountability from the wireless experts at Best Buy, I insisted on meeting with Kirk, the Assistant Manager. Within the first minute of conversation, Kirk had told me that I was outside of the 14-day return period, that either Verizon or my base computer is likely to blame, and that I should go to Geek Squad for diagnostics. A few minutes later, the Geek Squad technician told me that there would be a $149 diagnostic fee. When I balked at the price, rather than offering to take even a cursory look look at my phone and computer (which I had IN-HAND) Kirk told me that I should go to the Apple Store because Apple should be responsible for handling any issues with their own products. BUT, Best Buy sells Apple products at the EXACT same price as the Apple Store, so they should ABSOLUTELY offer comparable customer support. But, unlike the employees at the Apple Store, the employees at this store have NO interest in ensuring that their customers receive any follow-up support once an item has been sold.During the conversation, Kirk asserted that I was the only one hes ever head of whos had this problem. The fact is, lots of customers are having difficulty linking their new i-Phone 11s to their primary computers. (There are numerous forums about this exact issue on Internet. Ive since provided Kirk with links to some of these forums.) Clearly, Kirk and his staff are not up on current affairs with respect to the technology they sellIn the end, I went to the Apple Store. The tech at the Apple Store fixed the issue in less than 2 minutes and was shocked that the staff at Best Buy hadnt known the solution. In any case, both my phone and computer were working perfectly, and if anyone at Best Buy had made a hands-on effort to help, theyd likely have been able to solve the problem. And, even if they hadnt known how to solve the problem, Id at least have appreciated the effort.Heres a copy of the feedback I sent to KirkIf youre going to sell Apple products at the EXACT same price as the Apple Store, both you and your sales personnel should have expertise in post-sales customer care and you should ensure that your sales personnel remain current on potential compatibility issues with the products you sell. Above all, after you make a sale, if the customer has issues, ask what you can do to help!Ill certainly never go to this Best Buy store again!
Ordered my chromebook online. it was quick to get the the store I wanted to pick up at. I thought more security would be required to pick up my order. the guy just handed me my chromebook and said your Brandon right? and I was ready to show my ID but he turned around and went back inside..
Courteous, knowledgeable and interested people were tremendously helpful. Yes! I am shocked. We almost never come here - cant really say why.No more being conned or fryd. Many great TV deals (please leave me one).Such a good vibe in there my wife actually wanted to shop for a new home stereo system. I had to pinch myself. They even have McIntosh equipment. Ohhhhh
One of the better curbside service retailers I have used. They helped load in our new TV (got an amazing deal on 65 Roku). When I picked up the laptop I ordered, it was also an easy and prompt. They did that one contactless- just placed in my open trunk. Staff do a wonderful job managing the mask/social distancing AND expediting service!
Very poor customer service, employees could benefit from training on progressive leasing policy and procedure. Employees also should be place in departments that they have knowledge of the products, when I went to look at printers the gentleman that assisted me knew very little about printers and web search most my questions. When I reach the register I received a lot of incorrect information and instead of an apology I was debated with. I did have one lady who helped me who was very patient and went the extra mile to receive accurate information. When investing in a business I value honesty and I did not receive that.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff is a staple at Best Buy and this location surely knows that. Even when thye are just walking through the store on their way to what ever it is thye are heading to do, the employee still take the time to acknowledge you. Oh and dont forget to become a reward member and double dip and stack up on points $$$
The Worst Buy at this Best Buy. I purchased my appliance by 11/24 and set up a delivery by 12/20. No one care about my appliance after selling the products from the pacific team. Here is my summary process.-11/24 Order and set up delivery- 12/20 One top freezer delivery but others canceled- 12/24 Rescheduled but no one comes- 12/26 Got auto message for delivery on 12/28- 12/28 No one come and stop by the store to reschedule but not guaranteed early- 12/30 I got a call they can only do 1/6 delivery and 1/7 installation.I was preparing for moving in the new house and purchased a refrigerator, dishwasher, gas cooktop and range hood + top freezer. I was happy to set up everything at this place but after this happens my wife and I were frustrated and panic. We already moved in and waited for these appliance . I tried to call these store but again another time set up same issues. I stop by the store for rescheduling and one of the guy he said the inventory they don’t have it so they need to wait.. what??! I ordered and hold for delivery by 11/24.. Anyway go to Home Depot or other store for appliance. I’m not going to be their elite plus and geeks member anymore bye..
Went there on a Black Friday morning with my son to check if they had some great TV deals still left. We were lucky to get the second to last TV, thanks to the shopper who changed his mind. My son was super happy to get the TV :D The store was not too crowded and the checkout process was pretty smooth. They also helped me to get the TV in our SUV. Really happy with my shopping experience on Black Friday there
Great selection of everything electronic, phones, computers, TVs, networking gear, appliances and more. Generally the staff are knowledgeable about the products, but not always. Return policy isnt always the best, certain products have restocking fees, overall most things require 30 days return - so be advised.Generally prices are very competitive, but always worth comparing against Amazon.
This is a nice Best Buy and conveniently located from where I live. The staff is friendly and usually helpful in finding what I need, doing price matches and very proactive in approaching customers. The only thing that keeps this from getting 5 stars is that this store does not carry quite a few items that the other stores carry so this is somewhat over smaller Best Buy inventory-wise.
Worst store and stuff I ever had service with. Thay are not true about there appointment. When you want anything or questions they don’t answer. Please don’t buy anything from here they made me wait all day and then they said they can’t deliver the order. I am so disappointed with those people. Go buy your stuff from any other store. This is a very bad store. I don’t know what to say. It just was the baddest service and people.
We were looking for a new dishwasher. There was a good selection of products with different features and manufacturers. We found the sales representative to be knowledgeable about the products and services, and patiently answered all our questions. We made a selection, and the check out the process was quick and easy.
Id purchased my wife a nice Sonos speaker that unfortunately was not compatible with the turntable I bought. Totally my fault for not checking the specs or asking someone because Im a typical male and never ask directions. Best buy took it back no questions asked and didnt hit me with a restocking fee and hooked me up with a Bose speaker that is perfect. As much as I love Amazon I feel we should support these brick and mortar stores that employ people here in town and dont have deplorable working conditions. I also like to put my hands on products and their prices match Amazon.
Simply an amazing store. Note, this place has magnolia so they tend to have high end everything, audio, video, appliances, etc.Great store, amazing service, wonderful job managing COVID. Well done Best Buy, your peeps make a world of difference. Please note I have purchased all of my appliances, TV’s and speakers from Best Buy for over 15 years.Looking for help with a designer, ask for Nate A., he is great.
I dread coming to this store. I walked in and didn’t know where to look for a particular item so I’m walking back and forth, it was obvious I was lost. I wasn’t offered any help and all the employees had their head down looking at technology or deep in conversation with other employees! Another customer stood next to me and they were offered help in about 2 minutes. Finally I walked up to a group of three employees and asked if there was anybody who could help me. They hesitated and started passing me off on one another until one of them finally agreed. She changed her tone when she realized I was buying an item. If I ever have to get something from here again I’m going reserve it online and pick it up in store to limit the time I have time to spend in here without being helped.
Went in for a new cell phone, hoping to take advantage of holiday sale and activating a new line. The salesperson kept quoting prices based on the signage below the phones, but none of them sounded like the sale prices I saw online. He didnt know any of the provider incentives. After a frustrating experience, I asked him if they could price match the Amazon price. After about 10m of searching on line, he told me that bestbuy price was the same as Amazon and all of the signs below the phones were not updated with the sale prices. Blamed covid. Worthless. Would have been better just ordering online since the salesperson didnt even know the prices. Next time I will just call my carrier first and compare to the website.
I live closer to the Best Buy on Mueller, but I frequently come to this one because of its bigger and better selection of products and timely (i.e. faster) service. Theyve managed to be courteous and respectful despite the pressures of the holiday season, and I appreciate that immensely. It may be out of my way, but its the Best Buy I trust for all my technological needs (and I have plenty).
Some how I missed their curb side order option when checking out. Ended up with in-store pick-up. Got to store and tried to switch to curbside. No way to get it done on the ordering page. Went in this time, werent too many people in there at the time. Would be a nice to have option.
My go to Best buy. Staff is always friendly, honest, and helpful. They dont seem brand loyal and will not try to upsell anything. They will also search for price matching without you having to ask. I bought all my kitchen appliances, TV, and robot vacuum here. Will probably buy my next cell phone here as well.
I had the absolute best experience last night at Best Buy. I always have a pretty good experience in there, but to me, this one was exceptional. Basically we (my wife and I) were browsing different TVs for over an hour and at the last minute we ended up changing our mind and going with a completely different one. The one we picked happened to be the only one left at any Best Buy which meant we had to get that exact floor model unit. While I am typically against buying floor models, I was able to purchase this one plus a 5 year warranty for about $100 less than a brand new version of the TV without a warranty! That was the good part. The great part was that the two guys helping me stayed with me for about an hour after the store closed, continued to offer me recommendations on awesome HDMI cables that would give me the best viewing experience and best of all, they remained super friendly and attentive the whole time. The store manager even came over and gave us some bottles of water! Some might view that as a small detail, but that has never once happened to me in all of my shopping experiences. Really really great experience! I will be back to spend about $1,000 to complete my home theater setup.
This is a location that I shop regularly. The staff is helpful when they are available. Ive gotten some good tips in various departments over the past couple of years. Prices are solid and the store will match Amazon if you find a lower price. Selection is good on high profile items, but if you are looking for that obscure horror title on Blu-ray/DVD, the store wont be your best option. Keep your selections at a fairly high level and Best Buy will not disappoint.
A few years ago I swore I would not go back. They were awful, rude, stupid and worse! This weekend Frys found Best Buy had what they were out of at the nearby Best Buy, so with my coat of armor on, I went and to my surprise, the team greeted me with a smile and helpful directions, the team in the department where I went was fantastic with knowledge of the part I needed and the checkout was a pleasant experience. Who-ever is now running this place has made major improvements in personnel. Congratulations to whoever is behind this!
Zero customer service. Was ready to buy a computer but no one was around to help. I was the only one in computers. Went to the guy at the front door to ask a question. He couldnt give me much detail and said go back and check with the person in computers. I said no one was there or approached me for 10ish mins. He said ok just check online.
Was in the store for over 20 minutes, not one person asked if I needed help but yet they are all gathered up just talking about personal stuff. Bestbuy is going downhill. Not what it used to be. Most of the employees dont know nothing about electronics anyways. Sad sad sad.
Really big place, and one I constantly come back to when other electronics, etc. stores cant supply what I want.Staff is exceptionally helpful (when you are lucky enough to nab somebody!) and very, very knowledgeable about every department. In fact, I just bought a new LED Smart TV after I was educated about motion rate.
Im going to give this store 5 stars due to the staff. I visited in the middle of the day, and the place was quiet. The staff quickly asked me if there was anything they could help with. I knew exactly what I wanted, so I told them and I was taken immediately to it. The store is large, so I could have understood if it had taken a moment to find the right shelf, but that didnt happen. The store was clean and tidy, the staff were helpful, they had the item in stock. Thats pretty much all I needed. Could I have found it cheaper online? Probably, but I need it right then. Not the next day.
I got a Dell inspiron from Best Buy on Thanks giving night after strong recommendation by the sales team member in best buy stating that its one of the fastest moving laptop of that day. I waited in queue and was thrilled to take it home. As per the instruction I charged the laptop and started setting up the process and to shock it was stating that the antivirus in the laptop date is expired. I ignored it since the laptop was working fine I have also started subscription on McAfee Anti virus considering that I am going to own the laptop for few years at least. After a day ( on 11/25) I switched on the laptop it keep on stating windows need to be set up which I have already done and it started turning off automaticallyWith the bill I went back to Best buy customer service center and they itself clearly stated its a fault piece and I was suggested to check with sales team whether they have another piece for replacement. I went to the sales team and asked for another piece as replacement. Sales support guy immediately went to the service center along with bill as if I was providing him wrong information. After confirmation he returned back and asked me to wait for a while stating he as to check for the same model. He assured me that he has same model and will get me a new replacement model. After long wait the sales support guy came back and said he has only open boxes and said its certified by their service members .When inquired why it got returned or was there any fix has been made to the laptop , he was not able to provide clear information . Hence I didnt want the open box item and I asked to him to check whether they can get me the same model or else could provide another laptop having thanks giving offer. Sales team member just pointed me to the laptop section and said this is what they have and if needed can go and check for the price which is next to each laptop.I have never experienced such a bad customer support , giving me a faulty piece is their mistake and they should at least provide me a replacement piece or else consider providing other laptops having thanks giving offer since they screwed up.I was waiting more than couple of months to get laptop with Thanks giving offer, my bad I should have gone to other sellers such as office depot or checked in Amazon instead of trusting best buyI am never going back to Best buy again surely for the shop located near north Austin. Worst experience
Im torn about this location and how I feel. Sometimes its a good expierence and other times its been awful. We bought our TV here and lots of other stuff for work, I make occasional purchases here for my office and I feel like the employees at the entrance are always cranky and sometimes rude. They even told my husband to pull his phone back out of his pocket after a phone call. The phone was in a bright blue case?
Every time I go to this location I see tons of employees. the problem is they are all talking to each other and not available to help customers. Today I walked in the door and was greeted by the greeter guy. I responded and actually had a question, but he was already ignoring me--talking to his buddy behind a cashiers desk.I went to the store to spend money. I wanted to look at two tablets, pick one and buy it. No one was around to open up the case. I could see three groups of employees, all talking to each other, but could not get their attention. It was very frustrating, so I walked out.***Update: 3years later I had the same experience. Today I went to the store to buy a TV. There were more people working than customers, and yet I still couldnt get any help after more than 20 minutes. I walked out again. Guess I should have learned my lesson.
I ordered a TV on Friday 3/9 got a confirmation email and a delivery date of Monday 3/12. They apparently had trouble verifying my payment method but still charged my card. Because it failed verification the first time no route or delivery info was passed to the drivers. I found out Monday that my order would not be delivered and needed to be rescheduled, I declined and instead settled on picking up in store as instructed by the 1800 Best buy rep. When I went to the store to pick up my TV the employee cancelled my order and informed me that online ordering was a different system that what they use in store so they would have to charge me again in store but I couldnt allow that because the refund would take 2-3 days to go through. So Im out money and a TV that I ordered, moral of the story is that I will be ordering my electronics from Amazon or Frys.3/13 update:I called and followed up today with why my order was just flat out cancelled in store versus what the 1800 best buy reps told me and neither are on the same page apparently. The online reps told me they couldve refunded my amount on to a gift card then use that to re purchase my order in store. Apparently they cant do that in store, the store rep was very rude and not helpful at all. She sounded very annoyed and ended up hanging up on me, very childish and pathetic. Once again this location has terrible customer service, I tried to give them a second chance to make things right but I was let down again unsurprisingly.
I ordered a bunch of appliances for my move. I ordered them in Southern California to arrive here in WINSTON Salem. They delivered on time and the 3 guys that showed up were very professional and nice.Down side. My refrigerator door handle was dented as they installed it. They took note and said hey would order a new part and come back to fix it. They said they would call me in 3 days to give me an update. A week went Buy and I heard nothing. I went into the store. The appliance manager said nothing was on order and he would take care of it. He ordered the part and about 5 days later it showed up. I had to fix it myself. He did give me the option to have them come out to fix it. It was a 3 minute replace he handle job. The point is, it should have been taken care of by Best Buy. I should not have needed to go into the store to fix it, or get the process started. Lack of communication. A bit disappointed in the service from Best Buy. I am an Elite rewards member, and just expect more from them as a customer.
I had an absolutely wonderful experience at this Best Buy. I came in to look at electric scooters and compare a couple of phones and even though they didnt have the scooters - Maddie - was EXTREMELY helpful. She had been shopping for the same and gave me TONS of information on what to look for and different brands to check out. When we went to look at the phones she was super knowledgeable about Android and the phones I was interested and helped me figure out how to work around some features Im not a fan of. I was going to buy my phone from T-Mobile, but she was so awesome I got it unlocked at BB and got great a promo I didnt even know about! Definite kuddos to Maddie!
Im really upset that I cant remember the gentlemans name that helped us. I should have done this review the day of. We were looking for a smart/fitness watch for my wife. He was very helpful and knew his stuff. Of course, they didnt have the one in stock that she wanted, but I was happy to be pointed in the right direction.
Eddie is the greatest. I was needing to reschedule a TV mounting with Geek squad. He not only walk me through all of the options, he made sure I had all of the equipment they would need to get me connected. (Seems basic, but other locations/ ppl just book the appointment not caring about what you need). I was having issues with a previous appointment, he followed up to make sure that was cancelled and my new appointment was book. I am really impressed with his commitment to resolving an issue. Not sure if he was management or not or if he worked for geek squad or the TV department, but that man is the greatest bestbuy partner I have ever come across. Thanks alot for making our Superbowl perfect.
Excellent service! I cam in with questions about my processor and thanks to Jacob (he was a customer service specialist) my experience was some of the best customer service I have ever experienced. The company should be really proud of their employee. I definitely will come back next time!
Great 👍 place and great pricez. And you ever for excellent customer service you give thiz place a try. The staff iz very knowledgeable about their products and services. I will continue to shop there and alwayz look forward to seeing their smiling faces 😊. Thanks for everything yall do. Sincerely a Happy Customer Cuzz.
Purchased a washer and dryer from here last week and it has been a complete nightmare. My boyfriend and I purchased the appliances on Friday with a number of things for our new home, delivery and installation were supposed to be the following Tuesday, we get a notice it’s been moved to Wednesday with no explanation, but ok fine not a big deal. Wednesday comes along installation person calls to set them up but the washer and dryer still have not been delivered then we were told we’ll get a call back to figure out the situation and then nothing. I call Best Buy to find out what’s going on and end up getting rescheduled to the following week which is ridiculous. I’m told I will receive a call back from a case manager from their customer support team within an hour, no call... I call Best Buy back again and am told the washer and dryer just weren’t put on the shipment truck, which just seems careless. We received an email that delivery has been changed to sooner on Friday (today) instead of next week which is great. Now this morning again we receive a call that they’re on their way to install the appliances and they have them this time. Hour goes by and they call again telling us that they went to our billing address and can’t deliver it now since they already drove out their! (We moved maybe 10 mins away...) Another careless mistake it seems. I call Best Buy right when they open to get this stupid washer and dryer delivered speak with a manager told I’ll get a call back after he looks into it and surprise no call back. Call customer support to speak with the case manager that did not give me a call back from Wednesday and am told she can maybe call me back tomorrow.... explained to the rep I spoke with that I really needed it done today it was supposed to get done Tuesday and she shrugs me off and says I can promise it won’t get done today not a moment of let me see what I can do before until after I mentioned I’d rather just return it all than keep waiting then tells me I can maybe get a call today. Call the store back to check with manager I spoke with this morning I guess he had been too busy to get around to trying to resolve this and when I tried explaining I really needed it done today he chuckles and tells me I can promise you it’s not getting done today as well! I understand they are just home appliances and not something to get worked up over but my goodness it should not be rocket science to load them on a truck and ship to the correct address. And I am more frustrated with the customer service I received this week, my family spent thousands on appliances for our new home I would think I would receive a little more care about the issue or at least a phone call back after every time I was told I would receive one.
I was able to find a great deal on a needed fridge for the new house. It was open box but discounted price for it. I purchased it and setup delivery date for 4 days later. This was great I have kids and really need a fridge. Then 3 days later they reschedule my appointment for another 4 days later. This is not acceptable but my choice is get a refund and buy something different or bend over and take it from them....bad Best Buy you screwed up by not shipping it in time to the wharehouse for delivery now I have to suffer for it. This is poor customer service at best and bate and switch is really what it seems like. Not happy I thought when relocation from Wisconsin to Texas I was going to enjoy southern hospitality not brutality.
Ive always had good experiences here. Ive bought a variety of small electronics and both bought and had installed a car stereo here and never had a bad experience. If you want the lowest prices or fastest delivery I would just look online but if you just need a flashdrive today or a computer peripheral Best Buy wont do you wrong.
I actually like Best Buy most of the time but a recent visit was a real bummer. I had a specific laptop in mind and gave the model number to an employee who preceded to tell me they did not have the item on display. He seemed pleasant enough but immediately after that, he was pulled away and never returned. No one else stepped up. No more options were provided and no double checking the quantity on hand.Step it up Best Buy. I had cash in hand and made a rare visit to a brick and mortar location to get some sales help and go home with a new laptop, and your employees failed. Ill stick to the Cedar Park location from now on.
So originally I palnned on posting a very bad post about my experiance but I really liked the setup of the store and I been shopping at Bestbuy for over 15 years, I felt a little uncomfortable at this location the associate towards the back was joking about mexicans and calling customers ghetto and skipped 4 people for a white man who even felt uncomfortable going before everyone. Then things got worst and the manager was called, not sure if the manager really cared or just agreed it shouldnt have happen. I purchased a 70 inch TV and he asked if I looked at the price to see if I could really afford it.SMH never had this happen before but whatever.. Never had issues at the muller location.
Had a horrible experience trying to buy kitchen appliances. Had a decent salesperson and negotiated a decent price but the DELIVERY SERVICE WAS SO BAD I CANCELLED MY ORDER.First, delivery service is contracted out to a company that obviously does not give a rip about the customer or the merchandise being delivered. I ordered 4 kitchen appliances and was given three different delivery windows for different pieces totalling 10 hrs so waited all day. Dishwasher showed up first. Installer was rude and didnt install water connections properly--it leaked. Second crew also very rude, shows up with stove and refrigerator intending to leave them at the curb! I had to call the store (which had to call the service) to get them to bring it in the house. Then they said Id have to put the doors on the refrigerator! Dont think so...a second call to the store. Finally, the stove has a huge dent on the side...third call to the store. Go out to the truck to finally accept delivery only to find delivery guys put their dirty, heavy, metal drill on the induction cook surface leaving scratches. Not happy. Go into house to make fourth call to store. In the meantime, delivery guys load appliances back onto truck and leave. Fifth call to store. Contractor delivery employees (two big middle-age guys over 200# each), felt threatened so left without a word. No way appliances can be redelivered that day so I cancelled order for the three undelivered appliances.Above stove microwave never showed up and it takes over a week for Best Buy to locate it during which time my charge bill comes due, incurs a late fee despite order being cancelled, AND report it to credit agency. Still trying to get this off my credit report. WILL NEVER, EVER AGAIN BUY ANYTHING FROM BEST BUY!!!
When you get one of themanagement team youre in luck but as for asking anyone else for any advice forget it I went to buy my Galaxy watch active 2 three of the staff members had no clue they need to train their staff better.I also felt a little scammed as the price before Black Friday was $199 then when Black Friday came along they gave $50 off but increase the price to $249 so in actual fact there was no sale
An outstanding experience! The staff member was extremely knowledgeable of the Samsung phones and watches. Well versed in past models and could provide comparisons to newest models. Knew all the details of the products. This person was the example to model all staff members.
Went to upgrade my phone. Was told by their in-house samsung employee(drew) that they would give me a $200 gift card in exchange for my phone after looking at it. I went through 90 percent of the process before I was told that they wouldnt accept my phone because I had a flip cover instead of the factory back. The gift card was what made the transaction worth it. Josh, the manager was unwilling to make it work. Taking the phone would have made things right. Instead they wasted an hour and a half of my time. Apparently losing a couple bucks on a trade-in phone wasnt worth making the sale and keeping the customer.
I have always bought my electronics at Best Buy and not online even though it may be cheaper. I like working with a human being to answer my questions. Last April I bought a HP laptop and 7 months later the motherboard went out. I was not offered the service plan so I did not buy it. Best Buy said they would send it to HP to fix. HP had it for over a month and then sent it back. It worked for 2 months then the motherboard went out again. HP had the computer for 3 weeks this time. In the 10 month my computer literally wouldn’t start. I went to Best Buy and spoke to a manger named Joe on 183 and Mopac and after my explanation of the situation and obviously being sold a bad lattop from Best Buy, he said it wasn’t their responsibility and really unhelpful. I am no longer buying my electronics from Best Buy. I literally left there and went over to a competitor.
I went to Pre order the new Samsung Note10+ at BEST BUY and the experience alone was a disaster.. Why? Lets go into depth. First off I wanted to trade my wifes Google Pixel 3A XL, that is not even 3 months old! The rep who assisted us told us happily that we were able to trade in this device. We paid over a 1000$ to preorder this wonderful Note + and waited a week before we had to pick it up at the store! Jon, the man, Was not so happy when we arrived early in the morning when he then explained to us that we are NOT eligible to trade in the Pixel 3A XL as it is not approved on their trade in list since the device is still too new. He the proceeds to take the screen protector off the pixel and threw it in the garbage. He dropped my sim card on the floor & then told us he is NOT able to assist us in any way we ended up with no results. I now have no new phone and am without a screen protector for my own device that was removed and as I said so kindly thrown out, so all in all after we wasted half of our morning in this store and wasted our time. Not exactly a great experience at all and Im highly disappointed. We left there and went straight to Samsung and ordered the device online. I got all the perks, discounts AND my pixel trade in at the same value. BEST BUY.... You failed us, lost a sale, but most devastatingly lost a customer. I dont think I will ever go here again. Oh, and P.S... Our rep also told us that the Aura blue is only available through Best Buy and you can not order it anywhere else... What a lie as it was readily available on Samsungs site as well.
At one time Best Buy had competitive prices but that seems to be a thing of the past. Still has some decent weekly ad prices but I would shop around for major purchases unless they are price matching or refunding the difference if you find a better price within a certain time period.
I ordered a phone off the website along with a SIM card to be picked up in the store. When I got there, an associate told me he couldnt release my phone because they did not have the SIM card. It wasnt out of stock or anything, it was just 5 minutes before closing and he didnt feel like scanning it in. Thanks to a kind guy from customer service, I got my package shipped to a store where they value customer service. That location lost a customer.
I placed an online order they promised me I could pick it up a certain date, it arrived late, they could offer me a different solution like shipping from another store were they had the products. Completely frustrated for the worst service I experience buying electronics. Losing my business, I would recommend you
The computer salesman I spoke with seemed to know next to nothing about the technical details of the laptops. I asked how much ram a particular laptop could be upgraded to and they told me that the floor models are just how they are and cant be upgraded. Geek Squad might be able to tell you more. I ended up looking it up myself and found out that it was able to be upgraded quite a bit. He also took longer than it should have for a computer salesman to find out how much it already had. When I have to show the salesman how to navigate something simple like task manager, that tells me that I shouldnt trust them anymore.I also ended up asking this same person about their webcam stock and he was unsure about their locations. I asked if this was all they had ar the ones I could find, and he said he didnt know, but looked around the corner and said that was all of them.
Name should be changed to Worst Buy. I just moved to Texas and I bought a new fridge. They promised delivery on Thursday and 4 days later actually delivered it. My family and I arent used to 100 degree heat yet and keeping 2 little kids hydrated without access to a fridge was an extreme challenge. I was told when I complained about the delayed delivery that I had the option to cancel my order and receive a refund. I didnt want a refund. I needed a fridge. I was hoping for a new start in a new state and instead I received this.
We came here to shop for smartwatches and I was very surprised to hear that the person who served us really was informed about all the different features and options offered. Sure, he may have gotten a few tiny things wrong, but for the large part he was incredibly helpful and really knew his stuff. Not bad Best Buy....

2021-12-14Best buy is always choice for mainly for electronic items. I wanted to add though that they have really good variety of kitchen items and toys too.Comparing return policy is not so good as compared to other big stores in the USA.Phone Customer service is good and they do offer price matching on some items.

2022-06-29I recently purchased a 70” TV that was an open box special. It was marked as excellent online. I arrived in the store and unfortunately it was far from excellent. It was missing the box (wrapped in bubble wrap), power cord, legs, remote and all of the manuals. The cashier was very nice, and gave us a free universal remote. We asked to chat to the manager, Kirk. He was an absolute pleasure and immediately understood our disappointment with what was advertised (excellent) vs what we received (good). He gave us an additional discount and even called us the next day to confirm receipt. We were delighted. Thanks for such a phenomenal experience. This is why we continue to buy from Best Buy — service from people like Kirk!

2022-01-14First off I don’t own a big enough vehicle to go pick up the tv myself so I had to borrow it from a friend. Saw that there was an open box for the TV i wanted so I snatched it up since it’s 200 dollars cheaper. When I got home from work and opened the box immediately I saw that the remote was from a VIZIO and the tv I bought was TCL. Then there was no tv stands for the TV either. This is supposed to be a GOOGLE TV but I saw that was a Roku tv which didn’t even match up with the box. I know because I checked the model numbers on it. The TV inside the box is a 65r635 while the tv I thought I bought and was the one I actually wanted was a 65r646. I will literally be returning it tomorrow and see what they had to say about their inspection on the TV before taking it back.

2022-07-14Im not so much rating the store, although the store is nice and is always clean and has stock, (AND one of the few BB that stays open to 8pm), but giving the 5 star rating for an employee that was at the service desk that assisted me with an in-store pick up. I didnt catch his name, but seriously this guy was awesome. Incredibly friendly, attentive, and had a keen eye for detail. On pickup you have to check a customers ID and he noticed within half a second of looking at my ID that I had a recent birthday and he wished me happy belated. It really made my day. Great job and thank you.

2022-05-05Selection of whats in stock may be a little limited, but the service was excellent. The guy in the computer department yesterday was super knowledgeable, friendly and patient. Took the time to explain all the different options for my needs and help me pick out just the right machine for my uses.

2022-04-22Had the team come out to my home for an install of entertainment systems and security system, sales guy didnt answer phone for 2 weeks, no one at store could find him or his manager. I had to go 4 times to track them down to finish a prepaid project. They didnt do a bad job but they definitely didnt finish, 5th time I have used Best Buy for projects, really dont want to use the same people again. Austin has a lot to learn about customer service and reputation Dont prepay only do a down-payment management. They may have more incentive to make sure its done well.

2022-04-26Rarely busy, pretty helpful staff. I go in to pay my credit card bull and it never takes long. I havev used the geek squad once, at the desk. I received the answe5s i needed right on the spot without need to make an appointment. Nice location and there are a variety of shop in the same center.
