BioLife Plasma Services in other cities:
I just dont understand the point in setting an appt. w this place when the lines are always as long as the centers where you dont have to set an appt. And theres always 2 workers in the front where there suppose to be 6 and they take there time. The whole scheduling process is just irrelevant at this point
First time donor and the lady with blond hair was very nice and open! When I got to the fingerprint check it was okay. The two young lady was laughing seem to be in there own world. When it was time to check my veins I knew one of arms were good to draw blood, and the other arm has a small vein which is hard to look/find. When the lady needed a second opinion, a African American lady comes to check. She didn’t say who she was, being very distance, and didn’t really care. She didn’t offer to even try to know if I was comfortable or not. So she begin to use blood pressure to find my vein and she lied and said she can’t find anything on both of my arms. And I was told I have to come back in 2 weeks.I don’t understand why I need to come back in two weeks so you can tell me the same-thing. Also I’m a medical assistant and your not supposed to use blood pressure to find a vein. I thought this would be good experience but I guess not. Waste of time for sure so if your looking to donate blood here don’t bother. Go somewhere else.
I havent been to this center yet and already is my absolute worst experience with a plasma center I been too for one the young lady who finally picked up the phone after calling with no answer like 15 times believe her name was shaniqua picked up the phone and was rude she said what you want after I asked her a question she went pshhh!! And said hold continue to put me on hold after waiting on hold for 25 minutes I finally gave up basically rude employees and good luck getting them to answer
I started coming to this plasma center last year to check it out. I was on a bed and waited for an hour and 15 minutes to get stuck which is ridiculous and never has it happened to me at any other plasma center. Talked to the manager Tyrone and he explained what had happened and was going to look into it with his team for it wont happen again. Well hold and behold it happened again but waited 45 minutes to get stuck this time. It takes me 42 minutes to donate on an average, so I basically donated twice. It never happened to me before and coming here a few months it happened twice! Wouldnt recommend this center to anyone.
I have been to multiple centers (not just Biolife) for years. And this one is the absolute worse. Each time I come in, my finger scan wont work, I have to wait at least 1 hour if not more to even get a chair. Then another hour till they actually come hook you up. The workers have NO structure whatsoever. I have heard the workers talk horrible behind; Im assuming their boss. (Dark man dressed nicely). Training and attitude adjustments are very much needed at this location. Horrible.
Very nice facility. I transferred from Denton facility because of the new facility opening is much closer to my resident. However the Dallas facility is awfully run inefficiently. I think the owners responses to the reviews are bogus. Ì would recommend Dallass entire staff visits the Denton facility to receive valuable experience on customer care. Ill be transferring back even though its farther simply because theyre tremendously efficient and customer oriented.
Staff was very rude when I called the morning of my appointment but despite all that I still made the 45min drive to give blood and help save lives. Upon my arrival I was told their system was down and would have to wait for an hour at least, still giving them the benefit of the doubt I returned an hour later. When I finally got inside the check in lady was very rude and unwelcoming yelling that who ever I talked to the morning of my appointment would never tell me what they told me. To top it all off I had my husband with me Because I’ve had bad experiences giving blood, when the lady realized that he was not there to donate she told him “you’re not waiting in this building” so at this point I’m feeling very unwelcome and uncomfortable and decided it was best if I leave without donating. If you are looking to donate at this location be sure you have nobody with you, all day to wait, and lots of patience to deal with the rude staff.
I have already expressed concerns about at least one individual that is at this location needing more training on attitude and the way she does the process. As you are supposed to be still when taking blood pressure. She continues to try and rush the process when doing this making my number to high. As I monitor these number myself and check them daily. My numbers are where they need to be when following the right protocol. This is the third time that my time has not been approximated and has been waisted. Makes me not want to donate here and go to the centers that can follow protocol. When talking to staff they say to just go to someone else. The problem is if she is doing it to me then she is doing it to others. The correct response should be that they will take care of the issue. As it effects weather people come donate or go to a different center.
Very disappointed. I went for my second donation Tuesday and was told their was an emergency and most of the staff had to leave so I rescheduled for today. I went today only to be told that their system was down and I would have to reschedule again. They told me that it was all the locations so I called one of the Dallas locations and their system was up and going fine. When I let the “supervisor “ know she said that theirs was still down. Keep in mind she was outside telling other people that they would have to reschedule and had not gone in to check the system. Then I seen the supervisor leave the location. I guess it was time for her to get off work. So I finally gave up and asked if they could schedule me for another day. Of course they could do that just fine on their “system “. When I asked why it was they could reschedule people on the system that was down but we couldn’t donate they had excuses. I am very disappointed in this location and would love to change locations but was told my coupons wouldn’t transfer. Keep in mind I drive 45 minutes one way. They need a better system to let people know what is going on before they waste their time and gas going back and forth.
Staff seemed as if not everyone was on the same page. Lots of miscommunication or just not knowing what was going on. I came in and was unable to donate that day, so A center manager booked me an appointment for the following day at 10:10am. When I arrived the next day at 10:10 for my appointment I realized that they were closed until 11:00. I was a little confused and continued to wait until they opened and when I got inside I was told that the center manager made my appointment for a week later and not the day in question. I was frustrated and they told me at first that they wouldnt be able to see me and after some speaking to different people I was finally able to be seen. Spent four hours at the center, very frustrated. Felt like people kept missing the mark at every step furing the process. Needs to be better communication and further training amongst staff. There also are not nearly enough beds or machines to meet customer needs.
Appointment was at 11:40. Just now leaving at 1:10. Didnt even get to donate. Starting with them asking me to remove my religious covering. It took forever just to get my vitals checked. I do all 60 something of the questions, wait to be seen by a nurse (1st time donor). She tells me I cant donate because of some technicality she wont even explain. They REQUIRE you to eat 3 hours before donating (nevermind youre waiting 1.5 of that in there) and if you dont, you cant donate. People like me get sick if i donate after eating which I explained because ive donated 50+ times at other centers. Basically anyone on a diet or fasting or with a medical reason that has been cleared as a non issue shouldnt donate here. I strongly suggest CSL. A bit less money but alot more care and comfort for the people donating. Also my nurse was a woman named Jamela. Worst nurse experience Ive ever had. No regard whatsoever for my OBVIOUS anxiety. Id rather make 10 dollars at CSL than go here for 100 and I suggest you do the same.
This place sucks i went here about 4 months ago and they told me i couldnt donate bkuz they couldnt find my vein in my left arm, thats crazy ive been donating for atleast a year now at different spots and this is the only place thats difficult bkuz they want both veins to pop out, i habe small veins in my left arm and my big vein is im my right arm as long as you see a vein a person should be able to donate smh 🤦🏾♀️ yall are ridiculous imma keep going to Octapharma, bkuz you get $80 everytime you come when your not a new donor anymore. Kedplasma has $125 new donor fees, CSL New donor fees are cool too, and also Talecris are good.
Place looks great , nice equipment , just doesn’t run efficiently at all. Allows multiple appointments for the same time and defeats the purpose of having an appointment. I set an appointment for 9:55 an hour later at 10:55 I was standing in line waiting to have my vitals checked. Definitely a problem.
The location is very clean and thorough. Unfortunately it can be a really long process to get to the actual physical and you wont know any real deferral conflicts until that point. I was there for an hour and a half to find out that their donation requirements are very strict comparatively. I dont regret trying to donate but thats a long time going through questionnaires and sitting in waiting areas to be unable to donate at the final point.
Go to the one in Lewisville. Every time I go to this location theres always a problem. Either they puncture the wrong vein or theres a problem with the machines. They take longer than normal and have you standing around waiting while they laughing and telling jokes taking their time. Multiple times they hit the wrong vein and they have to use the other arm and went home with bruises for the next couple of days. They need better training or hire people who know what theyre doing.
Slowest Location. I recommend going to a different location. the first step is always quick at But once you are in the back, They don’t even check in with you or anything. Been here 3 times and they don’t value your time. over 1 and half hours to get poked and start donating. I spent 3 hours here and I am an returning donar so I can just image how long they take for first timer.
While the office is newfangled and thereby a bit unorganized compared to other plasma centers, I have had a pleasant experience @ BioLife Dallas. All of the staff treated patients with a much higher level of service than i expected. The office culture is morale driven, professional and well managed. I saw smiles on faces as phlebotomist while friendly socializing, and not slowing their pace. A warm beside manner is encouraged in any medical setting to be exceptional. All the new BioLife donors I noticed my first time had all returned on my second draw day. All without much complaint other than rhetorical trick questions in the prescreening form. I will get other plasma donors I met in the one left to come here and set up an early appointment if possible. Youve made them all an offer they cant confuse. - H.Donnell Gray III, Dallas TX
I think Im being singled out ..... It seems all of a sudden I have high blood pressure....False 170/120,186/112, theyll put your blood pressure cuff on too tight to defer you right out the door when its a lot of donors....theyre under staffed i see plainly, but dont manipulate someones bill of health to shorten your work load...the way theyve been putting on heirs about my blood pressure I should be dead.
Worst. Plasma Donation Center. Ever. Staff literally just doesn’t seem to want to work. As a new donor getting put into the system, I had to reschedule about 5 times before actually getting to complete my physical and first donation. There was just always excuses with the staff as to why they needed to do so. After finally being on The donation floor I observed: Low staff morale, experience, and incompetence, which is not something I’m comfortable with when trusting my health to these individuals. They really need to be evaluated, corporate needs to stop posting robotic responses and actually look into the valid concerns this location emits. If they really care, they would take real action rather than waste payroll on someone just typing responses for the sake of Google Search boosts. Nice location as far as architectural and floorplan design. But inexperience and carelessness of the underpaid staff here will send you running in fear they as will cause you unnecessary pain and/or complications 😳Friendly PSA Octapharma Or OPI is also profoundly unprofessional.• Donated Positively At Biomat, Immunotek, & CSL - I Recommend Any Of These!!!!! •
This place would be better if the people who worked there was better , I normal person could see how to run that place just walking through the doors , if you see a lot of people coming in at the same time why not have it to where only so much could pick a time , I came on a Tuesday in saw the worst of how they run things , also the manager there don’t know what he doing , he had to ask the lady at front desk what to do about all the people being there at one time , they don’t take needles out of you when you first get done , tbh just to donate going take a hour before you actually even donate , they lazy in walk around , in tbh it just look like no one knowing what they doing here
Have plenty of staff but everyone is not qualified. Waited 8mins before someone came to see why my machine stopped and kept beeping, by the time they came to check it out my arm had already clotted and I had to have a resick. They only have a few qualified stickers as well.
Be prepared to sit in a bed waiting to be stuck for about 30 minutes to an hour while staff carelessly walks around. I’ve never seen employees move so slow except csl’s. Biolife being compared to CSL should be the last thing they’d want. I don’t know if they have meetings about these reviews or any issues that have occurred but if they are there’s no way they’re listening
This is a bad place they really do not know what they are doing ! They said I can not do ate for 8 weeks for mistakes they made did not tape the needle down correctly and it slid out blood all on my arm that day they stuck me twice one on one arm and the other on the other arm both times got it wrong the worst place ever Ive never had this problem

2022-01-22Donated here in late 2021 when the bonus was $1,200. Didn’t finish all of my visits because each session would take hours. Check in lines, long. Donation waiting lines, always long. Sitting in a chair waiting to get stuck, way too long.Months later I’m here for my 1pm appointment and nothing has changed. I walked in, the line for CHECK IN was out the door. I walked out.The reviews have gotten worse. How many more reviews does it take for corporate/HQ to interfere and make actionable changes?

2022-01-18Very slow to do everything! The center mgr needs to better staff and schedule accordingly. No one has time to wait 2 hours JUST to get hooked up to a machine. I have lost opportunities to donate and earn extra due to the time constraint which I feel is not amicable. I see this is an ongoing issue that has yet to be fixed by looking at the reviews. Value peoples time!

2022-05-14I am always greeted by name when I walk in and everyone is friendly. Its not a busy location so Im typically in and out in around 1 hour. Cant beat that! Yasmin is by far my favorite person to get poked by. You hardly notice that youre hooked up.

2022-07-21The employees are too busy talking to tend to the donors...the machines are goin on and off when donating and they just tell u to keep pumping then if theres a issue like a hemo high return and you cant complete, youre deferred....but youre asking them to come over and fix the machine before it happens. This was on like 3 different occasions. Then when u talk to the supervisor they act very unconcerned and as unprofessional as the workers they should be helping to do better.

2022-06-18Everything is perfect except for the technicians responsible for sticking. I’ve never had any problem with my veins/donating. My very first visit they stopped my process because my flow was too slow. I was still compensated so I didn’t mind however, I was told that if this happens a second time, I’d be deferred for however long and wouldn’t be able to donate. So my second visit I made sure I was properly hydrated and had eaten well the night before and the day of. I walked in for my appointment and before I could finish my pre-screen questions the computer prompted me to speak to someone up front. Basically they just needed to check my veins first before I completed pre-screen. Someone checked and said everything looked good. When I finally made it to a bed—long story short I had 3 different people adjust me after the first girl and finally they ended it because one girl suggested it looked like I was starting to hemo. Now I can’t schedule appointments through the app and no one EVER EVER EVER answers the phone at the Dallas -Hampton Rd. location. Im missing out just because they can’t stick.

2022-02-10I’m a first time donor. I had my apt at 2:20 and left at 3:45 being there for a little over an hour just for them to check my vitals. Everyone there was very rude except for the receptionist. The lady that was taking my information just seemed like she didn’t wanna be there and talked very mono tone huffing and puffing EVERYTIME I asked her to repeat something because it seems like she doesn’t know how to speak up. I go to the next lady to check my vitals and my heart rate was super high only because I was super nervous since it was my first time and the girl didn’t reassure me or anything after telling her she just told me to go and sit down at the chair and I’ll be called again to check one more time. So I wait about 20 mins and get called again and she puts the pressure thing on my arm and it’s too tight and so I make a little squint because it hurt and so she takes it off but struggles a bit, but once she takes it off my whole top of my arm is purple and my vains are popping out. She looks at it and goes”dang that must have been on tight” and just made a little laugh like???? No duh. Didn’t ask me if I was okay or anything. She just tells me that my blood pressure is too low and that I need to reschedule. Unfortunately I will not be returning. Tried to give this place a chance even after seeing all these poor reviews. My expectations were too high, should have known since this was in the Dallas area.

2022-06-10This place is a joke. DO NOT go there if you value your life, health, and body. The only thing nice about this place is the pleasant lady who greets me at the front door by name when I walk in. Other than that, their employee turnover is ridiculously high and that should say a lot. Because of that they are constantly training new, non-seasoned rookies who don’t know yet what they’re doing. I’ve even had staff vent to me about how badly the place is run and how incompetent many of their coworkers are. Due to their negligence I was given 4 hematomas within a 4 month period. The first two were within a close period, then they deferred me for two months for liability reasons. Then within two weeks upon returning they gave me two more and had to defer me again (this time permanently apparently), with holes in both of my arms. Three different personnel missed my vein after each of their attempts on both of my arms. Then the machine was beeping for I don’t know how long during my procedure before someone finally checked on me and discovered my hemo. They take way too long to process people through there and make it not worth your time. This place is run very inefficiently and unprofessionally. They even seem to cycle through managers like toilet paper so I’m not sure what would remedy their situation other than to just shut down. I began donating plasma because I have a friend who has myasthenia gravis and I wanted to do my part to help. I wanted to refer others to do the same. But I can’t in good conscience recommend anyone to visit this place and subject themselves to what I’ve been through. Hopefully other plasma centers are not this bad.

2022-03-11I went today as a new donor. I was in and out in 2hr15min. Thats questions, vitals, physical, donating, and waiting a extra 15min. I was reading past reviews and I think they might have got the problem fixed. Plenty of staff so I truly give a 5***** rating.

2022-07-08At first it was cool. They had some flaws that were fixed. The payments are low compared to other places. I changed my rating to 1 star because they purposefully try to defer people for made up reasons. Once you start making to much via bonuses they will make up a reason. Within about 4 years donating other places I have NEVER had an issue with my vitals. When Im set to make close to the highest possible amount supposedly protein is low. Ive lost all respect for this company.

2022-04-29Just had my first visit. It was clean and the staff was friendly and professional. Even though it was busy and everyone was close to the end of their shift, the staff had good spirits and we even had a few good laughs together.
