Very cute restaurant with a great setting next to the railroad. Small open setting with few tables so the wait can be long at times even though there’s not that many people there. Bar is cute with great selections. Food is delish but does take awhile to come out almost every time we’ve been there. Good brunch and main courses but weird appetizer selections. Would appreciate more “normal” appetizers. Overall nice New restaurant in Aledo with great potential!
Sometimes different translates to incredible. My wife and I ate here today. I had the fried ribeye. My wife had the salmon piccata. On the first bite of the salmon she simply raised her hands as if saying she is defeated. When she finally did speak she said Im dead. There are no words for how good this is. Well, knowing her, I had to try it myself...you know, to make sure she wasnt fibbing. And WOW! She was absolutely correct. I also have no words. That was, hands down, the best salmon I have tasted to date. Thats all I can say. And I have eaten salmon my whole life.On to my fried ribeye. Basically this is what most know as chicken fried steak, but using a ribeye instead of tenderized cube steak. The flavor was amazing. It didnt steal the show from the salmon piccata, but it was certainly on stage and near center. I will order it again in the future, and again, and again, and again....right after ordering the salmon piccata, of course. If youre considering dining at Bistro 1031, stop debating with yourself and just do it. Youll be happy you did. Your taste buds will be happy you did. And you will plan your next visit before you even leave. I know I am.
So, we visited from the middle of the Metroplex, because one of our old friends co-owns the place. It was some of the best food and drinks we have ever had! It is a far drive, but totally worth it. We all ordered different things on the menu, so we could try as much as possible. The mussels appetizer and the lobster bisque were phenomenal! The Texas cheese steak sandwich and lobster pasta were both amazing, but the drinks and desserts were the icing on the cake. We had the chocolate cake, bread pudding and crem brulee. They were very delicious. We will be back to see you guys for sure!!
Bistro 1031 was a great experience. I was able to grab a great bite to eat with my friends outside. There is an amazing family atmosphere and exceptional food. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and was instantly happy with my decision. It came with two 1/4 pound patties and was super savory. The fries were well seasoned and the service was excellent. They were pretty busy when we got there, but we were still seated right away and were served in a timely fashion. Highly recommend!
Amazing food, great staff, wonderful drinks... But literally the longest I have ever waited for food and a check. We usually just assume theyre under staffed, but this last time there was maybe 5 tables seated including us and no joke it took 23 minutes for our server to run our card and get back to us.Every single time I bring someone here I tell them that they need to make sure their schedule is clear for two hours.Again, such nice staff, and amazing food and drinks, but beleive me when I say you will be waiting on the most basic of things.
I’d give it 0 stars if I could. We were really excited to try this restaurant but unfortunately never had the opportunity because not one server approached us after we were seated. We came in just after 4:30pm and were the only table in the restaurant. We were seated quickly, then watched and listened to the staff engage in conversation, eat and not once ask if we wanted a beverage or to order. Our menus were closed and we waited for more than 20 minutes after being seated with no service. Apparently, they are not looking to serve or feed guests. Pure disappointment and yet it’s a great looking space but service would have been appreciated.
Sitting here now and have 2 kids in high chairs that are behaving very well. However, all we have gotten are our drinks and apps. It’s been 15 minutes and the server has yet to come take our orders. There are maybe 10 people total in the restaurant. So it’s not like they are super busy. Soon the kids will be impatient and ready to go by the time are order gets taken. Also, we asked for a small cup with a lid for one of the toddlers and we got an adult glass instead. We just had to get the hostess attention so that we can place our order. Other than that, the food is excellent.
Very nice new Bistro. Simple menu which is a good thing. I like small eateries with uncomplicated menus because it means they are focusing on good quality and trying to do a few things exceptionally well instead of doing many things only half baked. Thats not to say that the selection was limited. Theres something on the menu for everybody including the vegetarians and children.I had the blackened redfish with a creamy jalapeno sauce. It was cooked correctly and the sauce was different and well done: slightly spicy without an overpowering jalapeno flavor. My companions had the Philly Cheese steak and a blue cheese burger. The Philly was nothing to write home about but in all fairness, I havent seen a Philly cheese steak in Texas that was really good. The blue cheese burger was exceptional. I think they either used high end blue cheese or Rochford cheese. Lastly, their drink menu was great. The margarita was well done and not light on the tequila. Also the Moscow Mule was equally boozy and good. Neither was overpriced witch is always a good thing.Service as prompt and friendly and I hope it always will be as bad service always ruins a dining experience.I recommend this place with its good atmosphere, minimalist menu and reasonable prices .
So this was our first time coming here. We started with the calamari appetizer and it was good, not too chewy but a little flavorless. My partner and I shared the southwest chicken wrap and with fries and a side of jalapeno mac. The chicken was shredded, not mentioned on the menu but it tasted good. The fries were awesome, crispy and hot. The mac could have used some more jalapeno because I really couldnt taste it, but overall it is a very nice interpretation of mac and cheese. We will be back as the menu is quite extensive and interesting.
First time dining here. My husbands second, he raved about it previously (had lunch). Cute bistro with farmhouse decor. Was greeted upon entering and seated quickly. Hosts both had smiles. My husband had the chicken fried steak. I tried it and it was good. Great portion as well. I had the chicken chardonnay which was airline chicken (miniature chicken leg with breast), I guess. Server said it was suppose to be a breast and leg & even stated it looked pretty small. It was topped with sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms and artichokes in a buttery wine sauce. The sauce was fantastic! It comes with rice however I opted out & had a salad. The chicken was incredibly dry that it wasnt eatable. Im not really complaining about the portion as I eat in small portions on a regular basis but if Im going to spend $18 on a dish, I do expect to be able to eat it.The server was great and offered to have something else made but I declined. Ive heard so many great things about this bistro that Im willing to give it another try. Im just disappointed for the amount of money I spent, the chef should of checked the dish before it went out.
Had the Tenderloin Steak Salad and the Turkey Club. Both were outstanding! Honestly the steak salad was the best Ive ever had. Steak could be pulled apart with a fork. Its so tender there is no need to cut it. Also the dressing on it is incredibly tasty. I will be revisiting this place to try more of their menu. Turkey Club was very good. Im not personally a fan of swiss cheese, but it was an excellent sandwich overall. From my experience this place is about quality. Quality ingredients, quality liquors and wines, and quality staff and chefs. Worth every penny!
We came the 3rd night of being open.I was very surprised with the menu selection, way more then I expected and the type of menu, well done! I dont think the atmosphere fits the menu but its still a cool place, I just wish the seats were more comfortable. Our waiter John was great! We ordered mussels, calamari, red snapper and a cheeseburger. All was fantastic! Very surprised by the quality of the food. We made a suggestion that they add bread to the mussels because the sauce is so yummy, plus it enhances the presentation of the dish. We loved the mussels so much we ordered another dish and they surprised us by adding the bread to the dish, well done!A week later we came back and John wasnt working that night. Our waiter was nice and pleasant but you could tell he wasnt experienced. We decided to try the rib eye steak, being 14 ounce we decided to share it and get two salads. The steak wasnt cooked the way we asked for and we dont think it wasnt even close to 14 ounce. The macaroni and cheese that comes with the steak was okay. I think for that price a salad would be included. We werent happy with this dish nor the price! If that would have been our first meal we probably wouldnt have wanted to come back.Im excited to try the prime rib that is only available on Saturday :-/ but hopefully this will be amazing as its one of my favorite dishes to have . Btw prime rib dip is my all time favorite dish so please think about adding that to the menu 😁
Food is pretty good. Folks who work there are super nice, but both of the last two times we’ve ordered to go a 20-30 minute wait turned into 50-60 minutes and both of those times we had kids orders that were not prepared as we ordered them. I know they’d fix it, but I’m not gonna make a 7 year old wait another hour for dinner.
Food 5 starsAtmosphere 5 starsCocktails 5 starsSanitized bathrooms 👍Social distance seating 👍Staff 1 star. You only reason I give this place 2 stars is because the food was the best Ive had in a long time. I feel bad for the owner because the staff ruined our experience. Our waiter stood and stared at us until we ordered even after we said we needed a minute. He tried to clear my food before I was finished eating twice, and then he stuck his thumb in my cocktail! In the middle of the covid pandemic! He was trying to clear it while I was still drinking it as well. I even had my hand on it! He responded with my hands are clean I promise. I could have demanded another drink, but we were ready to go at that point. We also saw the cook eating in the kitchen. He had gloves on and somebody else put the fork in his mouth, but it still did not sit with us right. It was a really weird experience and we will try this place again after theyve had time to clear some staff out.
Took my ladies here for Brazilian Valentines Day and it was a great experience. Greeted by the doorman and presented with indoor and outdoor dining options. They have kids menus (bring your own crayons) and the pepperoni pizza is good as an adult appetizer if your toddler loves the fried calamari as much as the adults. We had blackened redfish and the shrimp and grits. Great flavors and mixtures in the shrimp and grits. Not cajun spicy, but the balance of flavors was good in every bite. The redfish vegetable medley was artistic and tasty, and I wasnt able to steal much of the fish to get a good analysis of it. Drinks were appropriately sized for their strength. Definitely try an Aledo Chill if you like OJ and try a Daily Buzz if you like a CoronaRita. Service was great. Prices were great considering the flavor. As a local, I would recommend this place.
If I could give a zero I would. After waiting over a hour for food on our lunch break, my co-worker gut served the turkey sandwich and it was frozen in the middle!!! We told our server and he did nothing and the manager/owner didnt care either The server asked my boss if he was finished and he was clearly still eating his meal, he was in the middle of taking a bite of his sandwich! When the bistro first opened it was fantastic. What happened? Dont waste your hard working money.
I really had high hopes because during a fall festival I tried a sample of their etouffee and it was to die for. However tonight I wasn’t impressed. The lobster bisque had tiny bits of lobster in it so small it was hard to find. The grits were dry and the prices were steep 12 bucks for a margarita that was in a small glass. Sorry not cool. Best deal of the night was their bread pudding it was very good. Hope y’all bring the chef back you had last fall.
Very disappointing. I was really excited about going here. Had the bisque, queso and a chicken salad. Bisque was so salty I couldn’t eat it. Queso was decent hence an extra star. Chicken was so over cooked it was not edible. How do you screw up a chicken salad?!? Service looks like a bunch of kids who are learning so not bagging on them but don’t expect the level of service that would come with these prices. Better places to go in the area.
I was so excited about this restaurant opening! It has been such a huge disappointment! Everything is (still) so disorganized. We went at 6 on a Saturday to order the prime rib special. 10 minutes later we’re told it’s sold out then the server yelled from our table to the kitchen to check and was told we were actually getting the last piece. While we were waiting for our food, a server came to our table 3 different times with other orders! The kitchen staff was so loud! You can hear them yelling and we even heard someone cursing! When the food came, the prime rib was so thick, it was almost impossible to cut and chew. The bar drinks taste so watered down and they have drawn lines on wine glasses so as not to give a customer a drop more than management allows!Being located right across from my church, and following the building posts on FB, complete with Bible verses on the boards in the walls, I really wanted to support this restaurant!I would highly recommend the new Hoffbrau’s in Benbrook as an alternate dining option! It has been opened for a short time and I am so impressed!
Very disappointing. Ribeye was very thin, a half inch at best, and chewy, something you would get at Sizziling Sirloin for $8, certainly not worth $29. Wife had a Tenderloin salad and the meat was inedible. She never has anything bad to say about places we eat, but even she said she was dissapointed. Cant see this place making it very long, which is a shame, could use a good place to eat in Aledo. Service was fine if thats all that matters to you. Weve decided we will not go back.
I have been excited about this restaurant opening for over a year. Something close and cool. Well, not only did they hit the mark on location but they blew me away with the quality and taste of the food. It won’t be long before word spreads and the FW Foodies are coming out for a bite. The atmosphere is laid back, it’s like you went home for the evening. This will be my go to in Aledo!!
$5 Margaritas and a $6 Specialty Cocktail of the Week! Bistro also has a wonderful, diverse menu with steaks, salads, shrimp& grits, calimari, fried pickles, fettuccine alfredo, fish tacos and an amazing cheeseburger. The turkey avocado sandwich is one of my favorites!
Sad to report a good atmosphere was destroyed by subpar service. Menu item ordered, told 30min later was not available and our entire meal order didnt make it to the kitchen. Recieved a replacement meal 10 min after my wife had finished her meal. 1.5hr before I was provided a meal.

2022-05-22This was our first time ever eating here. I read people talking about how great it was on Facebook but it was disgusting. I spit my food out on my napkin. It was the cod and by far the worst I’ve ever had and I’ve traveled all over the United States. The server was great. Drinks were bad. Way overpriced. Would I eat here again?, never. I think the only reason people said it was so great is because there are barely any restaurants in this small town. So I guess they meant it’s better than Sonic but I still think Sonic is better. I would drive to Weatherford for Fort Worth

2021-09-26I got the hot turkey & avocado but switched to regular sourdough instead of jalapeno. It was a good sandwich and everyone in my group liked the fries! Everyone liked what they got. The restaurant is nice and open and very clean. I would eat here again.

2022-04-16Wish I could give 6 stars. Wonderful restaurant. Every single employee is a 10/10 nice and courteous and very inviting. The restaurant is so well designed and is in a great location; awesome small town Aledo feel. For being modest in size the menu is huge! So many choices. So far everything my family and I have tried has been delicious. Were definitely putting this into the regular rotation.

2022-05-23First time trying this place...went to their new brunch. If I told you the things we encountered on this visit, you wouldnt believe me. Food was very average but over priced for what you get. I understand increases in costs of food recently but even with that, its too much for what you get. Service was interesting and we will leave it at that. This building is good and it is a great location. Someone with real restaurant experience could really have a goldmine in this place if it was done correctly.

2022-06-22I recently went here an over heard the manger telling a bartender if she “dressed like a girl and lost weight” she’s make way more tips.As someone who works in the restaurant industry this is definitely not okay to ever tell an employee. Definitely will never return an I suggest y’all don’t either.Imagine what they say about the customers if they can openly talk to employees that way.

2022-05-08I hate to give this place a bad review becuase we loved the food and atmosphere before. But i had brought my wife and mother in law for mothers day, first time going since the new owners bought the place. Never once got refills. Food came out one plate at a time by different people at least 5 to 10 minutes apart. They forgot half of our order. We had asked three different servers for refills, salt/pepper and ketchup..never saw any of it. The other three tables of people trying to enjoy mothers day brunch had similar problems. Two of the parties got up and left during all of this. Not to mention alot of the outdoor kids activities are no longer there. I discreetly expressed my concerns with who I imagined was the new owner. He fumbled over excuses and promptly brought me my check with no discounts..Wont be going back. RIP Bistro 1031
