Ive been shopping here for some time now and I love it. They are very reasonably priced. Its s the same across the board. A flat rate for each type of clothing. Mens pants $6, t-shirts $3 etc. Home goods, jewelry, tools and things like that are individually priced but still a bargain!! Unlike some of the other stores, Bits and pieces returns profit to the womens shelter for those in need! Keep up the great work ladies!!
I love it here! My biggest irritation with thrift stores is that they are usually in a small, dimly lit space and make my selective claustrophobia kick in. This store has high ceilings, its well organized, and I dont feel like theres a risk of me getting buried under peoples throwaways if there were a (very unlikely) earthquake.I can always fine something on my shopping list and things I didnt know I needed!Theyre easy to donate to and I know the proceeds are going to a great cause!!
Helpful and friendly staff. What I like most about it is that all the proceeds go to a womens shelter. Also a great bonus that their prices are very fair on clothing, the prices are a bit high for second hand. The store is very well organized and clean.Update: 2/21/18I stopped in this evening and one of the sales associates Margaret who btw is a very nice woman she always welcomes me with a smile. Also Margaret has on several occasions gone the extra mile to help me with this and that. Well today she went above and beyond in my opinion... Ive been looking for gently used cute overalls for some time now and she not only remembered me inquiring several times if she might have some..... & Eureka she sought some out for me and found me a pair. 😁 Thank you so much Margaret for making my day and always making me feel welcomed. You Rock!!!All of the ladies from bits and pieces are nice. I love this spot and recommend it to friends, family and complete strangers at least 2-5 times a week.
Thrift stores are great the only problem is that they are getting more expensive. Just saying, the stuff is given to them their tax free and I know overhead. But thats a lot of profit for only donating I believe its still only 10%? But overall Great! The other is my own opinion.
I loaded up a 16 ft trailer with furniture exercise equipment clothing knick knacks and pots and pans I called before I left the house they said they take all that, and I get there and the lady wouldnt let me unload it she wanted to pick through it for clothing and shoes and I believe she was the manager terrible not cool at all sad review
Love the stuff!! it is like a treasure hunt every time you go in. Daily specials on top of already excellent prices, which are set. so you can find extrodinary and high end clothing as well as collectibles and even antiques for pennies on the dollar. i just love the ladies that work thereThey call you by your name and always friendly and smiling!!
I have received two puzzles with one piece missing. The first on I thought I had might have dropped with the bag in the trash but this time I even checked the trash. It is very disappointing to finish a puzzle and have a piece missing. I think after many orders I will probably try to find another source.
Very good the best store for 2nd hand stuff. I prefer to donate here and shop here because the funds go to a help families in need. Ludmilla always was appreciative of my donations and purchases even at the old crummy location. The store seems fully stocked currently so go and do some shopping, thier prices are better than goodwills.
Warning do not go here if you have children especially toddlers. The women who work here are really crabby and do not like children. I was putting up with weird comments and attitude from the ladies every time I stopped in. The last time I was in I wasnt in the store for a minute and a half before they told my two-year-old daughter that she can look but dont touch a bunch of the used activity centers they had displayed out front. So I just picked her up and said well then were leaving. The fact that they care about a toddler touching a toy is ridiculous. I mentioned it to my sister that I wasnt going to the thrift store anymore, and she said that the same thing happened to her the one time she went in there. The woman working at the time said that she hated all the toys being around and hated toys and hated children. It sounds made up but its not.
Really sad what they have done there recently. They have rearanged the whole store to were it is hard to get around and shop. Makes me very uncomfortable. I have been going to Bits and Pieces since the first one opened. This feels like a regression they have made the experience worse not better.
I know this place donates money to the crisis center of Bastrop but for the prices you paying for used and damaged goods you can be buying the same thing brand new $170 for a 4- drawer dresser missing pull handle knob paint and wood chips missing off of all the drawers I rather go to Goodwill in Bastrop

2022-05-24This thrift store is fantastic! It is so refreshing to find any store that has not jacked their prices like crazy. It is clean, well organized, well stocked, the staff are friendly and professional, and prices are excellent I dont know how they keep the lights on!

2022-04-26Bits & Pieces has cute summer dresses. Theyve really organized the store & gave it a less thrifty feel. The prices are good. And considering they help the Womens shelter of Bastrop, I prefer to go there 1st. Prefer to keep my business & $$ going back into the community when its possible. Shopping for a good cause..wish Id thought to say that when boyfriend was complaining about my spending. But I will from now on. 👍#staysafeyall#staysaneyall#godblesstexas

2022-01-21Ive loved this place for years, ever since I was a kid. Me and my grandma went today looking for a specific dining chair and didnt find one! But theyre selection is great and cheap. Also customer service was great. Definitely recommend 💕

2022-02-22I love to go on road trips and stop in at Thirft Stores. This one is one of my favorites, I have found several really good bargains. Not only are their prices great, but they support Battered Women Shelter.

2021-11-27I know not everyone is up for secondhand stores, but this place is so much more! They not only are a good locally owned secondhand store that doesnt have corporate Big shots making money, the big thing with this store is that they work directly with the family crisis center! Its not just a matter of buying discount second hand items but you are truly helping others and making a huge impact in the community!!!!

2021-10-21First of all, I really like this store, they do so much good. It is always clean and neat. Things I hate sbout it…cannot use the restroom, cannot try anything on, if it doesnt fit they wont let you exchange, even for exact value. Once I pleaded with them to at least let me use emplyee restroom as I was in a bit of distress. Absolutely not!! No way to treat a frequent, donating customer.

2021-09-10I was pretty excited to visit this store since we just moved here, and my 3 year old and I went in and the staff was rude, not very polite and acted like she hated her job. Probably wont return based on this because kindness goes a long way these days.Prices were good but theres no need for rudeness when people come in bubbly and new not knowing anything about the place.
