BJs Restaurant & Brewhouse in other cities:
Good Service but the food was very poor quality we ordered the loaded nachos, ribs, a chicken sandwich and wings and none of the food was above room temperature. We thought about sending it back but the wings and chicken sandwich took over 20 minutes to come out after we got the nachos and ribs so we didn’t wsnt to have to wait even longer. Also the place felt dirty.Only positive thing about our visit was Rose our server did a good job.
Was my first and will be my last visit. I ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The wait wasnt long as I sat at the bar. However when my food arrived spaghetti was hot, but the meatballs was cold. I wanted to send it back, however I dont want my food to be tampered with so I just eat what i could and left. For the entire night I felt sick at work. This morning I ended up vomiting, not to mention having to make few trips to the bathroom.I wished I had followed my mind and just leave when I got there.😩
BJs always has consistently good food and drinks, no matter which location I have been to. They have a good atmosphere as well. If you are a beer lover you will love BJs as they brew some of their own concoctions as well as sell a lot of mainstream and craft beers on draft. They also have a substantial cocktail menu. All in all, BJs is a solid choice for a meal.
The wait staff was friendly and attentive to our table. When my daughter got her pizza it did have a hair in it, the manager was nice and apologized and made her a new one right away and removed it from the ticket. This was our first time at this location headed home to Oklahoma from a ball tournament.
This location is no where near up to BJ standards that we know and love. Our order was messed up, my tea drink was extremely watered down and gross, food was lacking flavor and didnt taste fresh, and our bill was incorrect. The bathrooms were dirty and out of supplies (in every stall). We normally love BJs and its been a staple of ours for years. I would never go back to this location, unfortunately.
Been going to BJ’s for years and loved it, but boy have they gone DOWN HILL. Went there on Tuesday because it’s 1/2 price wine. I ordered a tavern cut pizza with extra cheese and green pepper. My pizza hardly had any cheese on it and it looked like they “threw on” some raw green peppers as an after thought. A food runner brought out our food and the server didn’t come back to the table for a while. When he did, I told him about the pizza and he said he’d tell the manager-who never came to the table.I got the bill and paid, but when I got home I saw that we were charged $15 for a bottle of Dark Horse Chardonnay! Hardly- 1/2 price. Every single BJ’s online menu shows Dark Horse Chardonnay is $10. Looks like I’ll have to give up BJ’s and find someplace else to spend my money on…..sad….
Absolutely horrible. Waitress did not care to even refill water glasses. My meal I ordered with rice, I got some noodle. Appetizers for three, no plates given and when asked she only brought 2. Waitress had attitude. Talked to night manager, told him concerns..didnt want a gift card he gave us one anyway..took it home no balance on it..issued an empty gift card. And wrote on receipt please remember to apply my rewards points to my account..they never did. Absolutely horrible experience
Hard to believe on a Saturday night that they would only being sitting tables in a 1/3rd of the restaurant! What’s even more shocking is the (3) hostess are telling a steady flow of clients it’s a 2 hour wait. Ownership can not be happy sounds like this place won’t last with this current management style.
This is my first negative review in several years…Two years ago we, as a family of 7, loved this place. Sadly, post-covid, it now seems to be mismanaged, understaffed, and the caliber of food being delivered to our table is/was subpar. Tasted like “frozen Sysco to table”…All of the new “poke’” items featuring the ahi tuna seemed either over sauced and salty or simply the grade of tuna wasn’t very fresh. My wife’s burger was completely burnt. My salad was drowning in dressing. The specialty iced tea drinks were all overly sweet . Service was super slow and we had to remind our server of missed items many, many times. The deep dish pizza was akin to Di Giorno. The pizzookies were under baked and too gooey. To top it off, the bathrooms were dimly lit and trashcans were overflowing, floors were wet, yet not from mop water, and honestly, light bulbs seem out in several spots throughout the entire location. I like BJ’s. But sadly, this particular one is really in need of some help.
Good food and varied menu, but good luck getting service! My last two visits we never got a server despite it not being busy. The last visit was about a month ago and after 10 minutes we had to go to the host stand to get our server to our table.Yesterday when we arrived there were 3 people at the host stand, after some discussion amongst themselves, we were seated in a booth near two other tables. We waited and waited and waited and no server was seen anywhere. So we got our things and left. On the way out we told the hostess why we were leaving, but she didnt seem to care, and I saw 2-3 serves up at the bar talking to the bartender. Im assuming one of them should have been our server.Shortly after leaving I called to speak to a manager about the experience I had, hoping they would want to fix it for future guests, but just like my in person experience, I was put on hold for over 5 minutes with no one to take my call.I will never be back to this BJs again. Do yourself a favor and go to Bonefish Grill or Numbero 28 (both in this shopping center) for amazing food, prompt service, and present management that care about their guests.
I volunteer for an organization to mentor younger children, and took my little here for Father’s Day. The service we received was extremely poor. We ordered a pizza and pizookie. Our waiter brought the pizza out cold after 1.5 hrs, never picked up menus, nor filled waters, and was rude. After politely raising it to the (hispanic/latino) manager we received a condescending reply “so what do you want me to do about it?” This threw me off as I nor my managers ever treated customers like this when I worked in food/retail - even when customers were in the wrong. He then verbally agreed to comp our whole meal (pizookie and pizza) - but then accuses us of leaving without paying because we didn’t give him a free pizookie coupon lol. I can’t even believe this as I’m typing it. This was not a good nor professional experience for both my little & I especially on Father’s Day. Actually a gross experience.
Me and 5 others got here at around 4:30 pm and ordered our food. We waited over an hour before our food arrived and it was cold and we never got any utensils to eat. We called for our waiter and asked to get a manager and waited over 30 minutes before she showed up after talking to her about it. We waited over 30 more minutes and the manager never came back so we walked out because we REFUSE TO PAY FOR ANYTHING THAT HAPPENED.
Not only did the server 3 times forget items ordered,(either to order them at all, or gave us the Wrong items). But, the food was Terrible. I can understand making 1 mistake or even 2. BUT to add insult to injury the food was sub par. They even took 3 items off our bill and we Still paid 150 dollars w no alcohol ordered. Definitely would chose Taco Bell over this anyday.
We were here on December 22nd. and I had the New Orleans Jambalaya. Initially I was a bit disappointed because the picture on the menu shows a very full bowl and what I received looked like a lot less. Flavor wise it was pretty good. A little spicier than I expected, but that was fine. The biggest disappointment was it took forever to get our food, while I believe other tables got their orders sooner. They were not busy so Im not sure why it took so long for us. Sarah was our server and she was great.
Ordered the loaded nachos which are normally amazing. When our food came out the Sriracha queso was missing from our nachos. It was dry chips with grated melted cheese. When we alerted our server our food was wrong she offered to bring out a side of queso so we said yes thinking she was going to bring out a standard side of queso as offered on their menu and instead we got 2 of the little condiment size dipping bowls of cold regular queso. Not enough to add to our nachos so she brought out a 3rd. By this time the food as a whole was gross. On top of that we werent given a discountiscount or comped item but full charged. She shouldve either taken it back to the kitchen to be remade or removed from our bill. Terrible customer service.
Made a reservation 2 weeks ago for party of 25 / 30 people.Arrived today. No one can find our reservation. I had to pull up a phone recording to prove we did the reservation. Then after showing Mgr, she said oh well hes a new host and we cant do this.I was like well were all here almost , why did no one call me as I left my number upon making reservation. Its not my fault a new person didnt know, but instead of saying this right off batt, I had to find my recording. We left and went to boomerjack. No reservation and was well taken care of.Do not go here if you have a large group!
Inadequate staffing. I typically enjoy BJs restaurants but not this experience. Restraunt was pretty much dead but still couldnt be seated because the manager wasnt there. We waited for a bit but it got to be ridiculous. The writing was on the wall that if it is taking this long to seat four people then the food service was likely going to be a miserbale experience. We left. Maybe theyll get some employees and the place will be better but I wouldnt waste my time at this place right now. Try again in 6 months. I hate leaving bad reviews. 😔
Lately BJs stooped down to a fast food (junk food) restaurant level. Service is awful. Received appetizers after we are halfway done eating the main course. Ran out of raspberry lemonade. Waited for salt for 20mins to try to eat the awful fettuccine Alfredo. Any request we made the server forgets and we had to wait another 10mins to see him to remind him of our order.
Ordered directly for a delivery order. Order was delivered with one entree missing. Called the restaurant and reported the issue. Rude manager told me it was delivered thru DoorDash so I had to contact them, but I had no DoorDash order…the charge is from BJ’s. They refused to resolve the issue so I’m disputing the credit card charge. A long time customer will never order from them again but they do not care at all. Sad to see a good local restaurant turn their back on their customers.
Got served Velveeta cheese with our potato skins (which were worse than costco ones) & our server was resistant to help us because he knew what we were being served, and later admitted to it being Velveeta. Nachos were basically chips with microwaved cheese on it. Save your time of eating here and stop at walmart for the same food for less than half the price.
I will never go back again took 30 minutes to get drinks and appetizer.. then they brought out part of food with the appetizer . Then my hamburger was raw. The other one was wrong. Then the waitress never refilled drinks never paid attention to us..Needless to say never will I spend another time there)!!!!!
I wish I could give zero stars. This restaurant is filthy. There are ants on the tables and menus. The floors have not been swept and dust has collected around each table. The table wasn’t even wiped down when we sat down. The lack of effort from the staff and the lengthy wait time for the overcooked food made this experience one of the worst.
I was sitting by the bar and i over heard the two bartenders discussions about changing a tip on a customer receipt. I had AirPods on so they though I was on the phone or listening to music. Its a shame and wrong. Not going back again. I made sure I took pictures of my copy so they wont do that to me.
This place has the most horrible service. The food quality is very poor. I was dining in for brunch with my family and ordered a cheese pizza. The waitress brought pizza with just cheese on it and no sauce. When I addressed the issue to her she said “That’s what you wanted.” Didn’t even correct the mistake or apologize. It was very rude and dismissive.
Good food ! Average service.Food was awesome but service was just ok.Fish n chips were crispy & juicy . Honey crisp chicken salad was good. Fried calamari was ok , could have been better.Desserts were awesome. Loved the salted caramel pizookie.Service needs improvement. Cutlery needs to be clean. We got dirty spoons and had to get them changed. Restaurant was half empty but Service was slow .
Trendy bar/grill with good drinks and decent food. It gets rather crowded on Friday and Saturday nights. Staff is very pleasant and accommodating. Prices are slightly high for the quality. Deep dish pizza was equivalent to pizza hut. Other items where about the same. Restrooms where clean. Recommend
Always happy with our experience at BJ’s. Alex took care of us last night at the bar. He was so attentive and friendly. I ordered the ribs with root beer glaze (extra glaze, of course), and my husband ordered a ribeye steak which was cooked to perfection. I love that you will always get the same thing from one BJ’s to the next, great food at a reasonable price with a lively atmosphere. I wish we had enough energy to stay and watch Kansas City in overtime. We went to BJ’s last night after being treated very poorly at a “organic, local“ restaurant and decided to leave instead of staying to eat. Very unusual for us, but it was wonderful to go to a place that we like to call home, BJ’s.
Came here at 10:30 PM. They close at 12:00 AM. There was no one waiting except one couple. They did not appear to be very busy. The hostess refused to seat us because we a had a party of 7 and it was too close to closing.. Ive never been treated that way at a restaurant before. Wont be going here again.
After being disappointed in a BJs closer to us, we visited hoping for the best and we were not disappointed! The tri tip sliders were amazing! Very tender and well sauced without being soupy and soggy! Both of us ordered deep dish pizzas and both were perfect. Amazing flavor and perfectly cooked. The crust was crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Our server, Samantha, provided the best service we had ever received ever period. Highly recommend both this location and Samantha!
Best customer service Ive encountered in a while. I was in a bad mood but couldnt help but smile and laugh once the waiter came. As far as food its concerned, I tried the Caprese, and was not that impressed. Its basically bread wrapped around cheese with little flavor. Its one of the few options for vegetarians on the menu. However the fries were great! Id definitely recommend this place for other lunch menu items.
We ordered shrimp scamp and there was a piece of plastic, yes plastic, in the food!! I thought it was the shrimp tail and it is shewy but it was not it was a peice of plastic. I am glad I did not swallow it and caught it in time. I called and spoke to the manager and he advised they will make it right, but we never heard back from them. I am sad that our 1st experience with them that way.
Ordered dessert online, came to pick it up and they are so unorganized, my mother had to walk back in 3 times because they couldnt get the order right. As frustrated as they looked they need to keep it professional. We all know it is short help out here but you are still in the hospitality business and should make sure to de-escalate the customers frustration instead of revealing yours. Do better!!!
I wish I had more photos but the inside was all I got. The food is incredible! The menu is the largest (and heaviest) one Ive ever seen! So much to choose from! I had the fish and chips. Wow was it amazing! Beer battered cod, so tender, and the fries were delicious too! We didnt have dessert but I saw several and they were massive, definately sharable! Everything about this place was great. Everyone loved what they ordered from soup and salad to pasta and fish! Check it out, you cant go wrong but it is a bit pricey depending on what you order.
This will be the last time we ever dine at the place the staff with poor attitudes and the sevice is beyond poor as we waited for over a hour to get our food and it was cold .Never agian !!! We will take our business were people care as there are many choices snd remember folks you have choices dont ever forget that.
Where do I start with this disappointment.Let’s give it a try… How am I to trust this place with the big things when they can’t even get the small things correct. Two sets of utensils at our table were dirty and the water tasted dirty also. Why would anyone wrap utensils that are dirty? It’s disgusting and they should know better. The service was good but the food was very salty (who knows why). In the end it was a very poor experience and I don’t recommend this location. I’ve been to BJ’s and have truly enjoyed it, but this one misses the mark.
We had an early dinner on Saturday night. The restaurant wasn’t to busy. I got the Santa Fe chicken salad. The lettuce was really soggy, I don’t think they dried the lettuce off after they washed it. Salmon was super dry really hard to eat. My wife got the tuna salad and they forgot to put avocado on her salad. We were a table of 8. The waitress was just ok, she didn’t want to walk to one side of the table so we would have to pass every drink and plate down to that end. Most likely not coming back.
Been few years since last visit. New menu has 15 pages. The food we had did not meet our tastes today. $40 for so so salad and a couple ciders .It may be a longer wait b4 next visit.Oh the crafted orange dreamsicle soda hard taste to swallow. Me leaving a place after an hour and I cant drink my soda.
Ordered take out at 7pm on a Monday night, online said it would take 45min to be ready, which is a bit high in my opinion. Get there at 7:35 and check in, still needs a few minutes, but definitely have another 10min to wait, which is fine. Still waiting on my order almost an hour after I placed it. Its not that busy, and I only got 2 entrees, its not a crazy order. Not sure what the hold up was, but pretty disappointed in the speed.Explicitly requested No Tomatoes, no Cheese, its even on the label...
BJs usually has pretty consistent quality and the waiter on Sunday was very kind, but they had a reduced menu when we went and it was still quite expensive. Prices here are usually really high but they are garish now. I understand that prices are upwardly flexible and downwardly sticky, but jeez, combined with a rapid increase in overall cost of living and decrease in quality of atmosphere, Idk that Ill be back soon.
We ordered the Italian pasta, fish and chips, and kids chicken tenders. It was gross. First it took forever bc our ticket was lost. Then the food was basic and terrible, especially for the price. The pasta is jarred sauce and no veggies and the blackened chicken upgrade is not worth 3 bucks. Terrible. The fish was okay and the fries decent but still waaaaay over priced. The chicken tenders were definitely previously frozen. How expensive the menu is it is definitely not worth it. We will never be back.
Excellent service by Hailey!! There were only two waitresses tonight she did an excellent job keeping up. Super friendly made my entire family grateful we were in her area! Friendly fast service and even took time to help my daughter pick out her iced tea. Would definitely come back
Our family visited the Allen, TX location after being impressed with the food via Doordash while visiting here. Although the food was still delicious, the service was below par. We ordered drinks, appetizers, steaks, and dessert. Our waitress was non-existent through most of the dinner. We were calling the restaurant to see if we could get help at our table when she finally showed up. Thank goodness for the other serving staff that brought us all our food. A disappointing dining experience. 😳
We went to BJs. my wife asked the waiter if she could order the california burger on back menu. We have ordered this sandwich for months at a different location but service has been lacking there. We drove for 25 miles & he was very rude & would not even check for us. Could offer almost the exact same sandwich in chicken but wasnt willing to check with kitchen....due to limited menu!!:
Food was ok, but the service was lacking. We were here later when it wasnt busy and had to wait longer than we should have for service. I had to flag the waitress down to get a refill. This is the level of service I would expect from a completely full room, not an empty one. I also had to walk over to the bar to request seating since the hostess was not at her post searing people. I like BJs Brewhouse, but the one in Houston is waaaay better.
If these are the people you have working in your restaurant I would rethink about your friendly, family experience at your establishment. Ive been here a few times and was planning to go again this weekend to see my family. But I refuse to step foot in a place where my family is not only MEXICAN but AMERICANS as well.
Casual eatery. Pizza, salad, burgers and random stuff. Huge bar menu, ton of beer and some draft sodas. Easy to find something for a group. Service is consistently good. I highly recommend the reward program getting 10 dollar coupons are great. Great place for kids, they have kid starter (bread and some fruit) to hold them over til their kids meal. Bathroom is clean, highchair and boosters available. Easy place to eat.
Im giving this location 3 stars for the good food and service we have received in the past. Lately however, has been a different story. The last time we were there in person, the service was non-existent. We were left sitting for a half hour without service and when we finally did get to order, it took another 30 minutes and no food. After an hour, we had to leave to make our next destination on time. Normally Id chalk this up to be understaffed due to COVID, Im in the service industry myself, I get it. But, the restaurant was dead. No excuse. In fact, folks who were seated after us, ordered, ate, and left, before we did. Then, last night, we ordered from Doordash. My wifes vegan soup and bread bowl were good. But the philly cheesesteak was greasy as hell. So bad it made me sick to my stomach and I woke up at 3AM to throw up.I also ordered a 6 pack of the Piranha Pale Ale. The first can I had last night and the second can I had tonight, were very good. However, the last four cans I just noticed are low fills and are all flat. Being a craft beer brewer myself, I know, if you can squeeze the can, its not full. Dont sell it.So, I really hope they can regain their former level of service. We will give them one more shot. I hope they do not disappoint.
Ordered delivery from my hotel, four blocks away. All food was cold. No utensils or napkins so I had to eat my Brussel sprouts with my fingers. Pizza didnt taste like much. It was cold. Had to try and heat it up in my little hotel microwave. Really not impressed. Brussels were better than the pizza. Also ordered a hot fudge sunday desert. It was basically a little tube of ice cream and a few other tubs of the smallest amount of fudge, etc., that they could fit. This was horrible. If youre the manager of this franchise, you should be ashamed.
Order online for pickup and eat it at home. I brought my wife here for her birthday and was THOROUGHLY disappointed in the service, if you can call it that (though the pizza was excellent). My wife asked for one of the teas. Not available. A different tea. Also not available. Actually, only regular tea and fountain Brisk tea were available. She asked for the cream soda. ALSO not available. So she ordered a root beer. And then she was brought an unsweet tea—and didnt feel like bothering with getting it corrected. I was ready to up and leave, but she had gotten her heart set on the pizza by that point. And then we were neglected for about twenty minutes before finally having our order taken. Again, I cannot overstate that the pizza we received WAS very good. But I also have to note that we were once more left alone with our empty glasses for the rest of our meal.We later ordered the pick-3 pizookie for dessert... and again did not receive what we ordered (nor a single drink refill). One of the cookies we got was apparently the cookies & cream rather than the monkey bread we requested. It was still fine, but just add it to the list of reasons I never want to dine at this location again.
Had a party of 8 and they told us to wait 30 to 40 mins when they had tables that were empty. When I told the host at the front he said he would get it cleaned and then the manager told us we still have to wait because he didnt want his staff to be overworked...reallyYou have empty tables and I have hungry kids isnt that why we came to eat??? To help out businesses but when the business doesnt care for its customers is it really worth supporting??? K
Well, I hope they get better. Service and food quality has declined DRASTICALLY! This place has always been overpriced, but the food was good. But now the food is not worth the price. Chips were stale, soda was flat, ribs were rubber, and the waiters are so overworked and kitchen does not communicate with them. I expected bad service right now, but not bad food for this price.
My wife and I had a date night recently on a Sunday. We checked in with the host and had about a 20 minute wait. We got our text and were directed to a table, which was against a dividing wall. The staff member mentioned that where we were seated was not used often, but my wife and I actually liked the spot. It gave us plenty of room, with the nearest patrons at about 30 feet. Consistent with what the staffer told us, no one came to serve us for the next 20 minutes. With the not often used table, the wait staff overlooked our table needing to be assigned. Eventually they realized their error and were very apologetic. A manager spoke to us and they offered us a free appetizer. My wife and I both appreciated their efforts. Blake M was our server. He was kind and attentive. As for the atmosphere, the music volume was perfect. We could actually have a conversation and hear each other. Overall feel was great for a date night. The food was good. We had the California Club flatbread for an appetizer. Very tasty. We then ordered a small deep-dish pizza- BJs Favorite. It was really good. The ingredients tasted fresh. After the flatbread appetizer, the small pizza was plenty for us. We then finished off the meal with the Pizookie trio. The Pizookies are mini dishes with a cookie bottom, topped with ice cream and various sauces. We had the salted caramel, cookies and cream, fudge brownie, and they threw in an extra chocolate chip. Very generous. The desserts were delicious. My favorite was the salted caramel. I would absolutely go back to BJs. Its not unusual to feel like a number being cycled in and out of a place. At this BJs, it felt like they cared. Good marks for the food, the service, the atmosphere, a good experience all the way around.
This is my first time here and I must say my experience was rude I didnt get acknowledged when entering after standing at hostess stand a waiter came to the hostess stand and did not speak attempted to walk off without speaking or acknowledge us I spoke asked do we seat ourselves this was our first time here. We got seated by a lady she took drinks we didnt see her again a guy brought the drinks and he left for 10 mins came back speaking across the room regarding alcohol drinks didnt introduce himself we thought he was the bar tender we had 3 different people come to table they just were dry, as if they didnt want to service us at all. I didnt care for the service at all needless to say I will not be back very disappointed
We really love this place. They offer a good variety for everyone in the family. I have only had one horrific experience here out of all the times and we have eaten here since it opened. Kids pizza crust is awesome! All the salads are great and salmon quinoa is terrific...spouse always gets the ahi tuna salad also very good!
Everything about our experience was ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ We had friendly service and the restaurant was clean. The food was amazing and I definitely recommend that everyone tries the roasted cauliflower. My favorite was the gluten free pizookie🤤My mom had ordered the personal pizza lunch special but they had run out so they upgraded to a larger pizza at no extra charge. We were more than impressed by our experience and will be eating there again soon.
My family and I enjoy BJs, but today Im deeply disappointed. From waiting an extra 25min to get food, then get home and discover the parmesan crusted chicken is cold and dry with no lemon butter sauce. Im severely allergic to nuts, and love their turmeric cauliflower...with the order specifying Almonds, no nuts...the food still had nuts..what a waste...I think Ive had enough ☹
Went to eat there first time since the reopening and I have to say it was not very good. Menu is still limited and we had a hard time getting our drinks and when the food came it was not as ordered. I realize everyone is trying to get back to normal, but you are going to have to up your game. I was very disappointed and it will be awhile before I return.Didn’t even order our usual pizookie - by then frustration had set in.
Came here on a Wednesday evening with my mom for the first time, the parking lot was packed but we got sat right away. The server wasn’t very knowledgeable about the menu (maybe she was new) but we ordered 3 appetizers: onion strings, potato skin wedges and bone-in wings with the Nashville rub and they were all pretty great. The bone-in wings were perfectly cooked, soft inside and crispy on the outside but they were actually fairly small. The orange green tea tasted a bit watered down but I drank it anyways instead of having just plain water. Overall the atmosphere was pretty great, kinda noisy and upbeat which is what you kinda look for in a casual bar/grill atmosphere. All employees were wearing masks and sanitizer is offered up front at the host stand. I would definitely come back again for another casual meal or just drinks and appetizers!
So I came here with a large table of 10 and our server seemed nice to start but later on was really rude. She questioned me drinking on my third drink (which I didn’t even finish). She told me “don’t say that” when I was talking to my friends about wishing they were drunk with me. I understand if she had concerns about me getting home but I had a ride. I wasn’t extremely drunk just having a good time. She even had the audacity to say “that’s what a drunk person says” when I commented on a question she had. She killed the mood and I was shocked at her actions. Being a server myself, I just expect a better time, especially at an established restaurant.
Sunny was friendly and very attentive. Loved the service. The food was amazing all cooked just the way we asked. I always feel sorry for our servers since we can be picky but she was great. Yelp for some reason wouldnt let us check in.Ive been to BJs multiple times but it was my first time at the one in Allen. We ordered from their lunch menu and got the veggie pizza and Alfredo pasta with shrimp.
We ordered a dozen appetizers for our group to pick up on a weekend night. Parking lot was full but other than that our food was ready on time and order was correct and complete. Would order to-go again for sure! The app is so easy to use just wish there was more parking for to-go pickup. Love Love Love the avocado egg rolls!!
On a Saturday, while having my dashcam installed at Best Buy. Decided to give BJs a try. The lunch special included Chicken Alfredo which I picked. When it arrived, I noticed the pieces of chicken were precisely cut, the noodles were dry and tough on one side, and the amount of sauce was stingy. Having been in the restaurant business for many year. It was shocking to have microwaved food served to me. It looked and tasted just a like my microwaved chicken alfredo at home. But at home I didnt pay $10 for it. They could have at least turned the noodles in the sauce to conceal the microwaved noodles. Cant say enough about the gummy dinner roll. Couldnt pull it apart because it was so elastic Sorry, but I wont be back.
Not worth it. We sat at the bar planning on having a few drinks, appetizers and dessert. The bar tender Rhonda greeted us after 4-5 minutes of sitting (didn’t tell us her name though I had to ask the woman next to me) gets out drinks and then from there proceeds to only refill when the man I was with was empty. Not when I was empty, just the man. She never made eye contact with me even though I was ordering and talking to her. She only made eye contact with him. Good came out and you could tell had been sitting forever because the flat bread was cold and the appetizer platter was sub-par. Fast forward to the dessert, a different bar tender brings it out to us and Rhonda never even asked how we were doing. He asks for the check, she goes to hand it to him but little did she know- I’m paying. She tries to act all nice once she realized that. Nope, too late. We will never be coming back after such awful service. As forever servers ourselves it was so embarrassing to see sure a large company hire such poor service.
The rating is not based on the quality of the food or drinks, but service on the service once we received the drinks. The visit started out good, my second time there since 2019 and the first visit for my boyfriend. The waitress patiently checked back several times while we decided on appetizer and entrees. The entrees were delicious! Drinks (1 bar drink and 2 waters)and appetizer received in a timely manner. However, we had to request plates so we could eat appetizer. After a brief pause a runner brought our entrees tri-tip and rib combo with baked potatoe and house salad, a second entree of mandarin glazed pork chop with a side salad and mashed potato. A few minutes after that our server brought our salads. We then had to flag her down for salt and peeper, she bright 3 salt packets and 3 pepper packets and laid them on the table. The tri tip and pork chop were soooo good. After we got the salt and pepper she did not stop by our table anymore, not to remove the empty drink glass or more importantly to refill the water glasses!!!!!!!! I believe in tipping based in the service so on bill that should have had $15 tip I left $5. My boyfriend didn’t want to leave anything. We will give them another try to see if this was a fluke.
Not a good experience at all. Had placed an in app order for curbside pickup. Got there and no curbside spots available so walked inside. The staff was rude and the three female hostesses when we explained we had done curbside were rude & informed us it was not there problem and that we needed to go to pick up and they could deal with us, and if we werent going to use curbside then we shouldnt have selected it (we had explained there were no spots available). Then after getting our pizza we saw they dumped all the toppings on one side. Never coming back
Ordered curbside and had to wait 20 minutes past our pick up time after checking in. We went in to see what was going on and the order had been ready but just wasnt brought out to us. The food was cold as well. My side of fries was just tossed in the bag so they all fell out. They didnt put in the condiments that were specifically requested. My meal was not complete, there was supposed to be cole slaw and au ju with the sandwitch and neither were included. The sandwitch was sub par and dry, especially without the sauce. Would not recommend curbside. Also the pick up times shouldnt be scheduled that early if they arent going to be ready to have the order out.
I have always loved BJs. But today, i dont know if its just this location but when the waiter asked for our drink order my bf ordered a beer and an unsweet iced tea. The waiter then says We cant serve alcohol without food in front of you, would you like to get an appetizer? Wth?! Then why ask if we want to order a drink? I mean were in a brewery for god sake! Not sure if this is BJs protocol or what but its ridiculous!
Yeah, so this was not a very good experience. My family and I went dinner a few nights ago, and everything was just awful! First of all, It took forever for a waiter to finally come to our table. And more importantly, the food was not good at all! I ordered the shrimp scampi, and it was a disaster. Unlike anything i had ever seen, the sauce and toppings were underneath the pasta. So this in itself was very difficult for me to enjoy. Also, the shrimp in the dish still had the tails on them! so going one by one remove the tails myself was not very ideal. And when i thought that things couldn’t get worse, they did. The food itself was terrible. It had no flavor, it came with barely any Alfredo sauce, and it just wasn’t really cooked well either. This whole night was a mess. The prices are ridiculous as well. So i’d advise you to take your money somewhere else, and get some better food for a lesser cost!
It takes a lot to get me to rate you less than excellent. But this place is pretty poorly run. Took family of five here. Waited 30 minutes for food (not overly busy) but wasn’t in a hurry. They brought our food out. 1 entree correct (cheese pizza). Four entrees screwed up. Sent them back. Waited 10 minutes. Brought food out again. Two entrees correct. Two still screwed up. Waited another 10. Manager (presumably) comes out with last two entrees. One correct. One still screwed up. Told me they couldn’t fix it but wouldn’t charge me. Fine. Started eating. All the fries are cold. We all ordered burgers. How hard is that. Go to the Liberty burger across the street. They are locally owned and operated and have way better service.
Nice, casual place to eat and they usually have enough seating for all size groups. Servers are friendly and efficient and tables are well-kept. Menu had just a little of everything for everyone to find something good to eat. Their pizzas usually dont come out hot and Im not sure if its so people can eat it without waiting for it too cool, but personally we prefer to have not pizza.
The atmosphere is definitely not as raucous as I was used to at BJs before covid, but the food (pizza) and service was good. Prices seem to be quite a bit higher than pre-covid. We ate at one of the outside tables which was nice due to the weather not being too cold for early November. Find menu via your phone that also allows you to pay the same way, which was quite helpful. Unfortunately, didnt have any room left for a pazookie, but thats probably not a bad thing.
This is one of the best restaurants in the area! The pizza is AMAZING, and the Brew selection is even better! As for the note alcoholic beverages, they even Brew their own root beer and cream sodas! On to of the main meal, the Pazooki is one of the best deserts to top it off. The service is phenomenal as well. This is a great, family friendly restaurant, that will get top marks from the whole group. A++!
Went here Saturday night @ 10:00. Really slow. Waited 5 minutes at table. No waiter, no service. Went up to bar to get drinks myself. Were out of Ultra. Went back to table and waited another 5 minutes, still no service. Went up to fron asked receptionist for mgr. She went to get mgr and came back and said, my only mgr is on the phone right now. Looked back table and still no waiter. This is the laziest staff I have ever seen. Do NOT go here. Joke of a business. Lost me. They need to go to chik fil a and learn service. I would give zero stars, but wont let me. Run, dont walk away from BJs in Allen.
The place was not busy at all, but it took a while for our waitress to take our order. Since it took so long, we ordered both our dinner and dessert. This has never been an issue before at any restaurant we have ever been to, including multiple BJs locations, but apparently it is an issue here. Our dessert arrived well before the meal. When we questioned it, our waitress said she put them in at the same time, and it came out first. The dessert got cold while we ate our meal, so it wasnt really as great as we hoped. It was disappointing.
It was... Fine, I guess.I havent been to a BJs in something like a decade, and was really looking forward to it. Then we arrived and found a menu approximately eight hundred pages long.Look, I know this isnt true in all cases, but it is sadly true for most: a really big menu means really low quality. The reasons are simple. One cannot keep that amount of food fresh at all times; the cost of waste would be unbearable. That means things are frozen, and ingredients are chosen for low cost instead of high quality.Sadly, it was true tonight. It wasnt the worst meal ever, but it wasnt great. The calimari was rubbery, the pizza was cheap cheese and chewy dough with *spiced tomatoes that were so old they had no moisture left, and the house-made root beer was flat.In a pinch, edible, but with so many other good choices, we likely wont be coming back.
This place had the WORST service! The four of us got our drinks and ordered our food then we waited and waited...way over 30 minutes for our food. The waitress came out and said that the chicken sandwich that one of us had ordered was the hold up and did we want to bring out the rest of the food. We said NO...so what did she do? She brought out everything except the chicken sandwich. She said the manager would bring that out. 10 minutes later, after we just sat around staring at our food getting cold, waiting for our friend to get hers, the manager finally brought it out. He said that there would be no charge for the sandwich and told us to order dessert at no charge too. After all of that time I ran out of tea and the waitress said she would bring me a refill. We ate and I almost choked on my food because, you guessed it, the waitress never brought me my refill. Then she finally comes back to get our dessert order and I remind her that I had asked for more tea. Jasmine brings me some tea and the bill! Where are our desserts??? Oh yeah, she goes and gets the desserts...One of the spoons she brings out with the desserts has a piece of lettuce dangling from it!!! Needless to say, I will never go there again and highly recommend skipping this place the next time youre thinking about getting a bite to eat. We were there well over 2 hours and it wasnt because we had to wait to be seated or just sat there yapping!!
We came in at around 10! We ordered a pizza and a burger. The waitress was not nice, didn’t smile! The food took FOREVER to come out, she never came back to check on us! It was late, not to busy and they had 2/3 servers working! We waited about 30 minutes to get her attention for our checks and then 15 more until someone came to run the cards... (not our waitress)Long story short! Terrible service, I’m a server and my boss would kill me if I treated my tables that way!
The server/waitress Grace was awful. She was rude, unprofessional with negative customer service. She approached our table with an attitude, failed to greet us I had to asked for her name, when she delivered our drinks she spilled water on the table and instead of cleaning it up she placed paper place holders. The worst of it all we asked for 2 small plates, for our appetizer, they arrived filled with water. The server quickly walked away. We asked to speak with the manager along with ourticket to pay for our drinks and to box up the appetizer. Her attitude was I dont care, saying whatever as she walked away. The manager was understanding but should have insisted that Grace and the server come back to the table and apologize for their behavior. We will never eat at the established ever again. It is true one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch?
I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTAURANT IF YOU HAVE TODDLERS OR BABIES. My family and two grandchildren (toddler and a baby) visited this establishment on Wednesday March 11, 2020 around 4:15pm. The host seated my family and we waited on our waiter to come to the table to take our drink orders. BJs was NOT busy during this time. My granddaughter was hungry and started to cry. We could not get ANYONE to come to our table — we were completely ignored as though we were invisible. We had waited over 15-minutes and not one employee would come to our table to take our order or acknowledge our presence. My guess is — this establishment is unfriendly to anyone with babies or toddlers who cry when they are hungry. As a consumer advocate I am disapointed in the way my family was treated.BJs management and employees have always been nice and courteous to us in the past — but we didnt have our grandkids with us all the other times.Such a shame.
Just ate here today. Our waitress was Rebecca M. She was nice but she had a very bad habit of taking our drinks before they were empty. We were also trying to fill our to go containers and she was clearing our full plates off the table. It made no sense. We had to ask her to stop. She would disappear for a long period of time and had to wait for her to come back. We come here often and never have this problem. I love this place.
We visited for a late lunch/early dinner on Monday. It was in no way busy, our server had 4 tables. The food was excellent. The server ruined the entire experience. We were seated in a booth. On the ledge behind the booth (directly behind my husbands head) was a dirty plate. It was there when we arrived. It was there when the server took our drink and appetizer order and it was there more than 5 minutes later when another waiter removed it.Our server was personable when we placed our orders and the appetizer arrived in a reasonable amount of time. It was a beautiful plate of boneless wings...spicy wings. Our drinks were half empty when our appetizer arrived. It would be almost 30 minutes before our server would check on us again. We finished the appetizer and our drinks...unfortunately not at the same time. Our food was delivered (by a food runner) and we were halfway through with it...still without a drop to drink before he stopped by the table. Now, this would have been bad enough, if he hadnt been standing less than 5 feet from our table the majority of the time. We heard his life story as told to other tables. How his favorite serving job was Red Lobster and how he had lived in the area 8 years and how he loved San Antonio. Seriously. Finally, he graced us with his presence and told us that he would get us refills on our drinks. Another 9 minutes would pass before it actually occured. There was ZERO excuse for his failure to do one of the most basic features of his job.To end on a good note, the food was very good. My husband ordered the Ribeye and enjoyed it immensely. I had the crispy jalapeno burger and fries. It had sat on the warmer a little longer than desirable but still had good flavor. We will return for the food. We will never again sit in this particular servers section.
Very good, however the service was very poor considering that business was slow. I ordered unlimited soup & salad, everyone else ordered food that required cooking, however, they got their food long before I did. I also ordered chicken strips & had to remind her twice that I didnt get them. Refill on beverages was hard to come by as well.
Food is good but the service is not up to par. This is not the servers fault, as I think they have good employees. The problem is their systems in place and lack of in some areas. The servers being required to use tablets to take orders at the table is distracting. It ruins the guest server interaction experience and causes confusion. Bathrooms were not stocked with paper goods, and very low on soap. One of these issues would be enough for me but all in one day.. That was my motivation for this honest review. On a good note... The salted caramel pizookie was delicious!
Met someone there for lunch the other day. Employees didnt keep their masks on around each other or all the time. I told hostess greeter i was meeting someone n described her. She didnt listen at all and we almost missed each other because they sat her on other side of restaurant away from me instead of with me. Weird. Food was good. I had grilled ham and cheese and fries for 10. Waiter was great. I was glad they took cash. They were doing a weird thing trying to get you to order by qr code n i couldnt get it to work with my phone n was finally given a paper menu by hostess.
Usually I have a very Good experience with BJs. Today however was not great, I ordered taje out at 2;16pm it was not busy at all. I got my food at 3:05pm. I worked at Chilis as a cook myself, the fries and Sandwich just taste like the food was left under the heat lamp too long. Everything is really dried out and hard, I will go back to BJs but I will not be getting this meal option again...
I really want to rate this at 3 stars, but their pizza is enough to bump it up to 4. Atmosphere is always good, always busy and plenty of t.v.s to watch any game you can think of. Beer selection is wonderful and most of their in-house brews are good. They have homemade root-beer on tap and it is AWESOME. Now the service is usually very good, but can be somewhat inattentive at times, even if it isnt busy. The food is usually good, but the last few times I went, it was actually pretty much awful. I got the calamari one of those times and it was lukewarm, at best, as well as being very chewy and pretty bland. Normally it is one of my favorite things, so we can give that a pass. However, I got there southwestern salad, or something like that and it was miserable. The chicken tasted like the bagged frozen cubed kind you get at Walmart and the DRENCHED it in dressing, I mean dressing leaking off of everything as you picked it up to eat it. Normally I do like more dressing than the average person, but this was ridiculous. Also the lettuce was older and the dressing made the tortilla strips soggy and mush. Really just disappointed the last couple of times and while I LOVE there buffalo chicken pizza, it isnt enough to keep me coming back. I can get better pizza elsewhere and better service too.
My family and I came in today for dinner. The food was great however once we received our bill I gave our waitress Rebecca my card to pay. She walked away took my card and came back and said thank you. I left a cash tip and as we were getting into our vehicle she chased us down with her manager and said we didn’t pay our bill. I said okay well let’s go back inside and check your system. We go inside and she shows SHE didn’t process the payment. And instead of her and her manager being apologetic that SHE didn’t do her job it was made as if we were trying to leave without paying. She then said to a coworker while I was standing right next to her that I took back the $20 tip I left (which by the way was well over 20% gratuity). As if I didn’t want to tip. I did leave a tip on my card even though she was extremely rude as far as I was concerned by announcing such. I have thick skin so I wasn’t humiliated like honestly I should have felt. But I won’t go back to this restaurant that I can guarantee.
Inez was a wonderful server. She was super great. Our drinks were always full and she made great recommendations as to what we should get. She’s great at talking and I would definitely want her again! I actually asked her to be a server at my restaurant but she sadly declined. Anyway, she deserves a raise! Woo Hooo Inez!
Its always crazy & crowded here, but their menu is extensive & we can always find something we like! They are pretty prompt in seating us. The service was very good & our server excellent! The food is good. Unfortunately, my moms soup was lukewarm, so they gave us a free bowl of soup. It wont keep me from going back. We were there on a Saturday night which is always crazy.
Our server was very nice and attentive and the food was great like always! This is the first time I have ordered a burger there (the one with BBQ) and it was definitely one of the best burgers I have ever had! Will definitely go back next time I am craving a good burger.
Used to love this location, but something clearly has changed. My wife and I went there for a drink and quick bite after a friends funeral as weve always enjoyed the menu and the service. We were seated promptly, which was great, then sat for nearly 15 minutes without seeing so much as a SIGN of a server for our table. Meanwhile, we watched as server after server tended to other tables around us and completely bypassed ours. We finally flagged down a busboy (the only person who seemed to acknowledge we were even there) to ask for a manager. Another 10 minutes have now passed, and the manager slowly starts to approach with this what the heck is their problem? look on his face. We decided at that point (for the first time ever, at ANY restaurant) to simply walk out. I agree with others that typically the service and food are quite good, but it has been declining steadily for a while now, and this was rock bottom for us. Will NOT be going back.
You may want to wait awhile before visiting BJs after their re-opening. They dont have it together yet. Start with the Hostess station. When we arrived at about 1:30PM one day this week, there was no one there. While we waited for someone to show up, 2 additional large groups came in behind us which made it impossible for us to social distance as they crowded into the tiny waiting area behind us.After someone came and finally seated us, it took about another 10 minutes for a server to appear. Thats probably because there were only 2 servers on duty for the whole restaurant. So we ordered our food at the same time as our drinks to save her coming back for another trip. My wife ordered Chicken Tortilla Soup and the Tomato & Mozzarella Salad. The waitress informed us that they were out of Mozzarella so my wife had to choose another salad. I ordered the Chicken Potstickers. The potstickers and my wifes salad were served fairly quickly by someone other than our server. He brought the salad but no soup. After my wife finished her salad and I had almost finished my potstickers, I had to get up from the table to find our server to find out when her Chicken Torilla Soup might arrive. She was nowhere to be found so I flagged down the other server and explained our plight. She promised to locate our server and send her to our table. When our original server arrived, we were informed that the kitchen had run out of Chicken Tortilla Soup but not to worry, they were going to make a new batch! Really? So BJs was out of both the soup and the salad my wife wanted. But we were not informed about the soup until we were both finished our lunch. And to be out of Mozzarella cheese and Chicken Tortilla Soup doesnt say much for the management. Our server did deduct the price of the soup and salad lunch since we only got half of it anyway. Based on our experience this week, its not likely we will return any time soon.
Disappointed every time I come here! Will not go back....review based on taste or quality or lack there of, on food.4-4-19Just had a double cut chop at this restaurant and it was fabulous. It seems like they have either turned over kitchen staff or they have gotten much better at cooking. Consistency has improved immensely!
Edit: Ive been coming here over the years and this location has been getting progressively worse. Last time I went recently I was sat down by a greeter who got distracted talking to another customer while my wife and I were holding the two kids. After that we sat around for 20 minutes without so much as a greeting from the guy who was supposed to be serving our table. Walked up to another group who came after us and helped them out first. Rather disappointed but I guess I should just keep going to the other locations that I dont have issues with. The manager was cool and apologetic but Ive seen him trying to cover for his staff the other times and it seems this location has staffing issues overall.Ive been to the Allens BJs a few times now and this is probably my third or fourth time coming to this location. Ive had a variety of experiences at this location and this time was definitely more on the positive note. My server on the Wednesday lunch time was pretty awesome. He came and refilled our drinks often and was very attentive. I asked him about the 4 dollar beers on Wednesdays and got that to me right away.I usually go for the Jerimiahs red because thats my go to beer here but they have the Grand Crux and I really like that one. I just stuck with my Jeremiahs red this time. I also tried their lunch buffalo chicken grilled cheese sandwich with fries. The portions are very large on this one and I thought it was pretty good. Not the best I ever had and kind of oily because the toast is... well buttered or oiled. The fries were crispy and good but they get kind of old after a while. My wife got the chicken ranch piadina which was decent but kind of smaller. Overall good place to go to. Docked one star for dirty menus with food in it and food kind of all over the floor. Kind of understandable since its kind of busy but kind of nasty at the same time. The previous experiences here were worse, but this time it definitely felt like an improvement on service. The food is still just decent though. Nothing is mind blowing in the Texass BJs compared to the Californian ones.
Good food, nice ambiance, ok service. I ordered a medium BJs favorite because i saw the Monday half off special walking in. When i get the check it was not half off because its only on the large. Pretty annoyed that the waiter didnt make me aware of it, but its not a big deal. Good overall, would come again and read their specials more closely.
Today it was such an unusual horrible experience. starting with the confused two hostesses, followed by the waitress who started with dropping the plates on the floor, then had the incorrect order brought seriously late. As to the drink, it took 20 minutes to make it from the bar to the table. It was uncommon strange day at this BJs. A manager interjection sort of resolved this painful experience which ended without having Lunch. The manager cancelled the tab and offered a sincere apology; however, I would rather pay and get the food I wanted. The two stars are for the manager
I am a former line cook for this location, do not eat here! !!! They run a sweet shop style business. No breaks for cooks in an eight hour shift. The cooks are tired and overwhelmed, food is dropped on the floor left out unchecked. It’s a miracle no one has food poisoning from this place! You are paying way to much for garbage that is frozen and reheated! Turn and burn! Roaches, flies, and rodent droppings in the kitchen. Freezer and cold tables are all ways being serviced, because they are broken! The health department needs to shut them down!!!!!!!
The service was very sad, the waitress has no interest in serving any of the tables. I came here to celebrate and make good memories with my wife and son, the waitress couldn’t have made it worse. I asked her for a well done Salmon and she got it , it was half cooked, I am not sure which part of “We’ll Done” she didn’t understand .Anyways , i am not planning to come back here and for sure I am gonna share my experience with my friends and colleagues here .I am so pissed off, I am writing this review before I left the restaurant.
Waiter here is very rude to costumers! She’s doesn’t want to severe us at all! She talk to us so rude like we can’t afford to eat here! She just asked us “ Anything’s else? “ then she’s walked away no respect at all! Super rude waiter I ever meet! Not gonna come here no more!
Would rate the last experience as a ZERO stars if I could. Dine in back open. To say it was a miserable experience would be complimentary. Endless fries? Marginally edible. Burger was meh. No condiments. Wifes order was taken wrong and then took them 20 minutes more to fix the refire. You shouldve just shuttered due.to COVID if thats the best you can manage. Very unlikely to be back. This WAS a preferred restaurant.
I love BJs, I go there for the awesome gluten free sleection, delicious food and usually great service but yesterdays experience was all around horrible. Unsure if this was a location issue as this was only my second time at this one. The server forgot to bring my drink so I got it halfway through eating the main course, that was a salad with salmon I had to send back because it also had chicken on it. Then the lettuce was so water there was water at the bottom of my plate. The broccoli cheddar soup was on point but cant really mess that up. So I think going forward well make another choice to dine whole shopping. It was an expensive lunch for being so disappointing.
I went with my family to BJs Restaurant and Brewhouse last Saturday. We have been there a few times before but this past visit was our worst and will be our last. We arrived around 6pm and we were told that it would be around a 25 minute wait. It was pretty crowded so the wait time seemed reasonable. Well, as everyone around us got seated and since it was 40 minutes now that we have been waiting, I decided to check our wait line status with the hostess. She finely acknowledged my presence after looking at her screen for what seemed like 2 minutes and her response to my inquiry was a quick it wont be that much longer. Not very professional if you ask me. Finally at 50 minutes in we were texted that they had a table for us. When we got seated the waiter took our drink orders and ran away. 10 minutes later my poor kids got their drinks and we placed our orders. We told the waiter to please put in the kids meals with the appetizer order because by then they were starving and exhausted. 15 minutes later a random salad arrived for my husband-that he wasnt even aware that he ordered. Still no spinach and artichoke dip or kids meals. 10 minutes after that, the appetizer finally arrived. And about 5 minutes after that ALL of our meals arrived. The salmon was so so as was my husbands tilapia. All in all it was not a good experience. I would not recommend bring your kids there at dinner time--too busy, too crowded, too long of waits.
Just changed my 5 star to 1. Took 20 min to get my drink. My food arrived cold and my bacon cheeseburger had less than one slice of bacon on it. Asked for manager and it took 5 min for him to show up because he was running the kitchen. Zero concern about our problem. Ordered 2 kids sundaes for our sons and they brought plain ice cream. We will not be back.
This place is AWESOME, and you just cant beat the service! My husband and I are regulars at this BJs, and its all because of their amazing bartender Jeremy. Hes hands down one of the best bartenders of all times, and weve never had a bad experience there. The food might be a little pricey, but its delicious, and I believe its well worth the money.
Place was barely busy on a late Saturday afternoon. Server was rude, no site of a smile or grin. California Club Flatbread was burnt and had no flavor - which it took about 25 minutes to come out. Requested no Parmesan on the mozzarella and tomatoes salad.. server did not care or try to make it right. Quinoa bowl was flavorless and just mehh. Wings were meh. Chicken Alfredo sandwich or whatever it was supposed to be was soggy and nasty. All in all, get some better management that knows how to create great staff morale and train your cooks to make good tasting food. This is the first time my family and I did not want to continuously order dish after dish. Will never return to this location or possibly a bjs again.
Giving 3 starts because i have been here a few times and the service has never been up to par. Went there to order a pizza to eat with a friend, took FOREVER and when it was coming out the waitress dropped it. Not big deal I know stuff happens but the fact it took almost an hour to get the first pizza before dropping it was unnaceptable. Also wait staff could have been better, let manager at the time know
First of all the food... Always good. A little pricey but as the saying goes you get what you pay for. If rockstar service is something you look for when dining out, I encourage you STRONGLY to ask for Paul. As a long time restaurant Manager, bartender, server, Im naturally meticulous, sitting on my bench gavel in hand. This guy knows what hes doing and has the personality to make the meal that much more enjoyable! Its a skill set not possessed by all. Well done kitchen. Well done Paul. Well done B.J.s! Well be back sooner than later for sure!
The food there was excellent I had a brisket bacon burger and it was perfect and on point service is good theyre doing their part better than most for covid they have a thing on the desk that you can scan with your phone to get the menu its all in all it was a wonderful experience The waiter staff was on point and kept up with drinks all in all good place to go sit down and have a nice dinner
Came here to celebrate a new job. Great hostess seating and welcome! Order appetizer and when it arrived it was set down too quickly that I could not say a word I need silverware. I had to flag a different waiter serving other tables. (my waitress was not be found) to ask for silverware. He comes back to say they did not have any rolled up. I had to wait as the cauliflower dish was getting cold. To compensate for the lack of ready silverware he brought me water which I already had at my table. I had to ask again my own waitress for silverware. After eating my appetizer a gentleman came with a bucket of wrapped silverware asking if I needed any.In ordering my drink (ended up with wine) and dinner I mentioned being allergic to corn & corn-by-products. The quinoa side dish had corn it. I had to flag a different waitress to locate the one serving me to fix the issue. She was unsure if they could bring me quinoa dish w/o corn. Yes, she finally was able too! That should of been seen before leaving the kitchen and my waitress should of been more aware of ingredients within the dishes and noted it on the order. Not a pleasant experience!! The quinoa was very dry!I will not be coming back to this location. Poor services and too much wait time for xyz items.I did speak to manger to address these concerns.
I ended up getting food poisoning here from eating their shrimp scampi. The manager here told me they would help compensate medical bills, but now they are giving me the run around on how this was an infection ( which it wasnt). What they dont realize is depending on what kind a bacteria got into my system can actually cause that infection. If you eat here and get food poisoning they will not care about it. They will sweep it under the rug and continue on. Recommendations is to never eat seafood here.I will never eat at a BJs again for lack of consideration, empathy, and not caring about anything towards their paying customer. I will make sure I tell everyone I know not to eat here. If i didnt have to give a star I wouldnt give one. They dont deserve it.
I cant remember my servers name, but he is going to college for language translation and he was amazing! Bjs if you see this give him a raise. I have a two year old and lets just say she was acting like a two year old. He was amazingly kind, patient and funny. The food was good but the service is definitely the reason for the 5 stars!
Not a good experience at all! Never going back. Our server was rude and very unconcerned! I tried to be nice but I am the customer. I should not have to smile and kiss her butt. She acted like she did not want to serve our table. I saw how she interacted with other guest! Never again will I waste my time and money. The food was cold and nasty just like the server! I wish that I could give a zero star! Never ever again
The waitress got the order and that was the least of my problems. I understand that orders get messed up and things happen. That is okay, everything got fixed. My problem was with the beer, and the service. I ordered a flight of beers and they were terrible. 3 beers were hoppy IPAs, they tasted like water to be honest. Could have drank Coors... The service was eh. Many servers and employees came by our table, not a single person cleaned our tables. Our empty glasses and app plates sat on the table until I asked for them to be taken...Maybe I am being nit picky, but for how expensive BJs is. I want what I pay for?
Ordered food and drink. Drink was made completely wrong. Took it to the bar and watched them make it again, and they made it wrong. At this point a manager approached me and asked what was going on and I told him his bar staff didnt know how to make a simple drink. He had them make it again and it was ok. Got back to my table and food was there. Had a steak ordered medium and it was well done. F THIS PLACE NEVER COMING BACK AND RECOMEND YOU DONT COME EITHER.

2022-02-16This review comes after 2 separate trips roughly a week apart from one another. The first trip I ordered a flight where all 4 of my glasses were dirty, and when I had the glasses exchanged 3 of the new glasses were dirty. My wife and I ordered a pizza and a sandwich, both of which were cold on arrival to the table, and the plate to go with the pizza was dirty. For reference, BJ’s pizzas are supposed to be scorching hot on arrival, and this pizza tasted as if it was ordered 30 minutes prior to our arrival. After dessert we spoke to the manager who offered to comp our meals, however we took home boxes so we felt it would be unfair to have them comp our meal. The manager then provided us a coupon for a free pizookie (with $15 purchase) and apologized. This is why we returned for our second visit. Our second visit, we ordered basically everything exactly the same as we did for our first. This being said, I was still given dirty flight glasses. In addition to this, the table next to us received a dirty serving spatula with their pizza. When we presented the coupon given to us by the manager in response to our last visit, we were told that it wouldn’t be accepted because it wasn’t valid until the day after. When I asked to speak to the manager about this, she acted like she was doing me a huge favor by honoring the coupon she provided me (a $7.50 value compared to the $80 value of our previous poor experience). Needless to say, we will not be returning to this BJ’s, or likely any other BJ’s after this.Serving customers dirty dishes is never acceptable, and you would think after doing it once you would have the issue corrected.

2021-08-22This place’s weakest link by far is their floor staff(managers included) customer service, attention to detail, and their work ethics. They also constantly leave tables dirty, a lot of tables. Staff is making continual laps with their hands empty each way, passing table after table after table that has been dirty for 20+min. It’s y’all job that’ll be affected, not mine. I’m just a paying customer.Oh I sat in the bar. Turned around from my table and asked the bartender to make a drink (my waitress had been nonexistent). Bartender only had one customer nursing a beer. Bartender told me I needed to tell my waitress. Had to wait a while again till I saw her. Great job.

2022-04-03Not impressed. Service was ok. Menus did not have nutritional information. Had to use website which had details for some items. Server insisted there was no lunch menu, website proved otherwise. Prices are steep for what you get. I was able to order a lunch item. I feel youd get better flavor and portion size for less $$ at Applebees off their normal menu. The server did overcharge me for my side salad, which wasnt very good by the way. It should have been $1.75, but he charged me full price and I had to have that corrected. Always check your bill and be aware of prices.

2021-09-27Spent $70 on dinner. One burger was completely charred. The other burger came on a sub style bun that we didn’t even order and was so soggy we had to use our own bread and the lettuce was so wilted and wet. Drink was watered down with two half melted ice cubes. The ice cream that came with the pazookie was completely melted and we weren’t even given the toppings for the pazookie. Terrible. Last time we will ever order from BJ’s.

2021-11-19Definitely have had better BJs. They were out of wings so they gave us oversized thighs but forgot the ranch. Lemonade was TART & had to be remade bc it made with an actual lemon juice base instead of lemonade. Chicken Alfredo lacked Alfredo sauce. Waitress was okay but busy. Lemonade was free = 3 stars. Don’t think I’ll be returning to this location. This place is definitely for a customer who doesn’t take their food experiences really seriously

2022-04-09Needs some quality assurance checks before sending to-go orders out the door. Ordered through grub hub and this is what I received. Dry nachos missing queso and no plastic ware for the rest of my food. I’m in a hotel from out of town so needed the plastic ware and napkins to eat.

2022-05-09I was there on Fri noon, and had ordered beer and appetizers chips and queso. This lady server at the bar served stale, rancid queso, and when asked claimed it was Velveeta and had run out of regular cheese. Also, she deliberately served burnt chips, and I was not sure was due to the color of my skin or an oversight. Will never go back again.See pic that I have posted.

2021-11-11Initially on Tuesday they “lost” our order. When we arrived at the estimated time, we were told to “to wait for it to come across.” Instead of it being placed as a rush order, the manager decided to wait for the system that she had Just told us crashed, but didn’t crash as far as charging our card. We decided to give it another chance tonight and we’re handed a pizza that literally has part of the ingredients on the box, because dough is missing. Pizza was not even cut.

2022-05-07Tonight the weather was very nice, my parents and I who are in their 60s and wanted to sit comfortably, we were told unfortunately after 6pm they couldnt seat for the patio. Okay, well after finally being seated inside, my dads choice to sit down had a puddle of slobber on the floor. He mentioned it to our waitress, but she didnt seem encouraged to react, not even a sorry, however she did say that there was a baby prior to us. So, I just offered my dad to sit in another chair. I took it upon myself to inform the front desk associate, just so the next party sitting there wouldnt have the same worry. Being a manager myself, Id like my team to inform me of inconveniences for customers. The food was great! As we were leaving around 8pm, we noticed a family of 6 or 7, and another party of 4 were all being accommodated on the patio. :(

2020-12-28We went for my brother in-laws birthday and we had about 12 people in our party. They sat us with just one server and I was concerned that he would struggle to take care of us. Well, I was totally wrong!! He was fantastic and our drinks were never empty!!The food was amazing, i got the fish and chips and was floored with how perfect the fish was! The batter was flaky and crunchy, and the fish was so tender and flaky. It was absolutely perfect!!
