Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill in other cities:
Enjoyed a Sunday Brunch at Blue Harvest. Great service. The Chicken Fried Chicken with gravy and fries was perfectly done. The Bloody Mary from the bar was okay. They did have a Bloody Mary brunch buffet, probably was good, but I did not want to partake in anything buffet just yet.
This place was very busy on a Saturday night around 7pm. We made a reservation but had to wait a little while for our table to be ready. The atmosphere was delightful, not overly crowded or loud. Their cornbread was unique and tasty. I had their artichoke stuffed chicken. It was tasty. The meal was not overly filling like most dinners are. The vegetables tasted very fresh. I was just surprised that I only had two pieces of artichoke in my dish! Lol One piece of chicken breast was a bit dry but the one on the bottom with the veggies was tender. I will return again to try more dishes on their menu.
Little rocky start to my visit, I was waiting for a bar seat & it took forever. However, I didn’t get a seat at the bar.. They were entertaining guest that had already cashed out with a whiskey tasting.. there was an extra seat at the bar that was pushed up in front of the service bar right in the middle of the bar… I was little annoyed, but maybe it was because I was hungry.. Drink was great. 3 starsRANDY was my server!! He was OUTSTANDING!!!!!! He was very sweet and timed my food perfectly! He was very sweet and I appreciated the great service! Thank you Randy for the great service!!5 starsFood was outstanding ! Sorry I didn’t take pictures! Everything came out at the right temperature! Flavorful dishes! 5 stars!
This place is soo delicious and the people who work there are so kind and gracious. From the moment you are greeted to the moment you leave, people are asking if you’re good or if you need anything. The food is definitely farm to table. You can see it and taste it! The best part is no matter how much you eat you don’t feel horrible. That’s how you know it’s real food.
We stopped by this place after Googling a restaurant near our work. We had such a great experience. We were greeted at the door by great hosts and our waitress was amazing. She was so personable and felt like a friend. She made great recommendations. We enjoyed the salmon salad and a burger. Both were phenomenal. We also had a couple of DRINKS. My counterpart had the peach Bellini and I had a margarita and I cant think of a single bad thing to say about either. This place is a must-try.
If you have not been to this place it is awesome! We have stayed in Cedar Park for over the past two years and have yet to try it. It’s a Friday night and we wanted to try something new and came here. Did not disappoint at all. Everything is local from the area. Will be checking it out again!
We usually visit the Georgetown location but were meeting up with friends so picked the Cedar Park location this time. The menu and service were consistent with what we experience in Georgetown, and we all had a wonderful time. Kelly was our server and did a fantastic job recommending food snd drink options and made the whole night even better with her witty banter and humor. I tried the frozen grapefruit margarita, and it is now a new favorite! I opted for the grilled veggie sandwich with sweet potato fries, and was very delighted with my meal. Excellent location and environment for getting together with friends.
We got here fairly early we wanted to eat before the hockey game. It wasnt super busy when we got there but it was certainly picking up. I could definitely tell they were understaffed but it didnt hinder the experience. Our waitress was training someone and they were both super friendly. While the service was slightly slow as I said they were understaffed and it wasnt that big of a deal. The food was fantastic this was the first time we had ever been here and as I like to try new places we decided to hit this up. We were not disappointed. Our drinks were also very good.I highly recommend this place if youre looking for something in the area that is local and has yummy fresh food.
Farm to table place, decent food, decent drinks. Ive heard a lot about this place, but wasnt overly impressed. I liked that they had off-the-menu Chef specials... Nice touch! The server stood by our table for 30 minutes which kind of killed the conversation I was trying to have with my friend. The Bloody Mary bar was the highlight of my brunch.
Enjoyable dining experience overall. Our food took an hour to come to our table which seemed a little strange, turns out our kind waiter forgot to put our order in so he was kind enough to get us a $15 discount. The Cadillac margarita was very good! The Chile con queso was not my favorite, I don’t think I’d get it again. The chips and salsa were very good. I do think for a Mexican restaurant chips and salsa should be free. My wife ordered the beef Street tacos which were very good. I ordered the chicken fried chicken which was also very good, my potato’s were served cold. Overall a good experience and I would go back.
The food, staff, and atmosphere are great. This was our first time here and we are already planning the next trip. We don’t live in the Leander area, but are within an hour. This will absolutely enter the outings rotation. The food is locally sourced so you are eating food from local farmers. The food was excellent and presentation of the food was beautiful. It’s hard to think of a place that has topped this in our experience locally. I can’t wait for our next trip! We might need to try the weekend brunch next!!
Food is really pretty! Not crazy expensive but not cheap. Appetizers are huge and can be an affordable replacement for a meal (especially on Tuesdays ) as I said Earlier the food is PRETTY. Like so much color!! It tastes right. Nothing crazy wowing, but its very good.
This location is a go-to of mine for lunch meetings anytime Im in the Cedar Park area. Its not necessarily “Mexican Cuisine” and its not necessarily “Tex-Mex” either; they have a modern-fusion flavor all their own. Outdoor or indoor tables, a full bar, attentive/upbeat waitstaff, and a few healthier options on the menu. Definitely worth trying if youre in the mood for something new outside of the chain restaurant circle.
Was here for my birthday and was my first time. I’m not a big go out to eat kind of person but my friends insisted. Food was great, our server Bryce was so kind and suprised me with a birthday dessert. All the staff was super friendly. Definitely would go back and recommend to others.
One of our best Valentines dinners in over 40 years of marriage. Wow! The medium tenderloin steak was served absolutely perfect, red (not rare)/pink and juicy! It was topped with delicious grilled shrimp on a bed of mashed potatoes and asparagus. I rounded it all off with a glass of Malbec. I was so satisfied after my meal that I skipped their gf coconut creme pie. My wife ordered it and she said it was out of this world. Staff very welcoming and friendly. We plan to return for their special weekend brunches.
Well this was a New experience 😳 always wanted to be in one those 5 Star restaurants at a poor man pocket. This is it the Food was plated Fancy liked that they use our Farmers and personal business locally-owned. The Food was Unique Very Tasty. Staff was Friendly and Professional. So if you want something different this is the Place .
Diverse, party of 3 was immediately ushered and seated in a room to the very back, at a table behind a wall completely out of view. Not to mention, NO OTHER PEOPLE were seated in this area. When asked why we were being seated away from the main floor, the hostess responded that a new server had just come in. By the time the new server reached the table, we’d already decided we weren’t going to stay and he didn’t seem to care and immediately picked the plates and silverware off of the table. This place had really great reviews online, but the Cedar Park location was not very welcoming. I’d hate to think that our ethnicity had anything to do with it, but it’s hard to tell these days.
Lived this little spot. Creative menu...especially the actual blue corn items. Thoughtful presentation. Fresh food. Easy place to go for a business lunch...or a family Sunday. Definitley returning for both. Much better than the large corporate chain places all around. This place is a local Winner🏆
Staff is great even when super busy with customers. Love the atmosphere. Food is usually really good. This last time everything seemed to taste the same as if all was cooked in the same sauce. I had the blackened redfish. Couldnt distinguish flavor from the crab topping. Rice rasted the same too. Its usually much better. I will go back. Everyone has a bad day. ♥️
Everything was mediocre. The food was overall acceptable. Beans tasted like they were prepared from a can, food came out cold, margarita’s were a letdown at the $12 price tag, rice was bland, and my son’s burger was a joke. I expected way more given 90% of the reviews were “5 stars”. Maybe we had the “b-team” in charge the day we went. This is a case study of 1 so do with that what you will.
I give them 5 stars for service, but heres why 3 stars for the food: Our wonderful waiter explained to us that they make everything from scratch, but I was very disappointed when I tasted my rice (parboiled or maybe instant rice), and the tortillas on the fish tacos were definitely straight out of a bag, not even warmed up to get the bag taste off of them. The Queso Fundido was really tasty, topped with steak that melts in your mouth. That was the highlight of an otherwise underwhelming meal.
We were denied service for wanting to seat outdoors. Sad to see tis local business behave like there is no covid. The staff was rude and did not even try to explain why. A simple we are understaff would have worked. The patio was setup for service with condiments and such at each table.
Ive lived in the Cedar Park / Lakeline area since moving back to Austin over two years ago, and finally made it here last night. Ive heard so many good things, yet they somehow managed to exceed any expectations in every way possible. The hostess accommodated our request to sit outside, even though my friend and I were the only ones on the patio for the evening. Another staff member lit the outdoor heater for us, and offered to move our table closer if we wanted. Our server Theo (sp?) was super fun and knowledgeable, and we asked him for recommendations before having him surprise us. Both plates were absolutely delicious, and not pictured are the chips and dips we ordered. Neither of us are queso people, and we loved their queso! Oh, and how could I possibly forget their fresh cornbread - SO good. Even though we were the only ones seated outside, the staff were all highly attentive. We had chips and water refilled before they ever fully emptied out, and they did so with such ease. We never felt interrupted, and I didnt notice anyone having to constantly peek /check on us to make sure there wasnt something we needed. Long story short, I highly recommend everyone give this place a try if you havent already, and I say that as someone who previously did not love Southwestern and/or Mexican food! ❤️
Came for a sunday brunch with the family. we got a drink (coconut mojito) and three dishes. the mojito was on the sweeter side and my dad didn’t like that, but the rest of the family enjoyed the drink!the veggie relleno was great and tasted super fresh. the veggie tacos were well made but bland. i ordered the vegan enchilada which was really a great option for vegans as it’s filling and flavorful
Sunday funday was perfect here! Daniel the bartender greeted us with fresh roses and mimosas while we waited for our table! Gabe was our server and suggested the fired oyster shooters as appetizers. I got the meatloaf, it was rich and full flavor! Staff was vibrant and the food was fresh!
My wife and I have been to this restaurant a dozen times and are absolutely in love with it. The staff is incredibly nice and ontop of their game. Thewy are consistent in customer service, food quality and creating an amazing experience. Whether they are slammed busy or slow. If there were more than 5 stars on here, they would get them. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We ate here because it was close to our hotel. The food was amazing and Steven was an excellent waiter. We had a Blue Corn Margarita which is spicy and excellent, and the Giggle Water which was good but sweeter than I liked. My entree was the Blue Crab stuffed chicken which was out of this world. We loved it and Steven so much, we went back for brunch the next morning. The $5 build your own Bloody Mary was the best bargain in town! You could get full on that alone! But the Shrimp Omelette was the best I’ve ever had! Highly recommend this place!
It was my first-time visit to the restaurant with two other people. Although it appeared that several booths were available, we were ushered all the way to the back room where there were no other patrons sitting, which seemed really odd. I felt like we were being discriminated against and we left!!!!
Went on a Tuesday afternoon for food, it was half full, no wait for a booth. Very clean place. Had the oysters for starter which were fresh. Main course of chicken fried chicken which was amazing and would definitely have again, and the steak enchiladas which was good, but a little lacking in the steak, but did have great sides. Would visit again.
Probably my favorite restaurant in cedar park! Everything is scratch made and the seafood is great. The coconut mojito is delicious but a little sweet for me. The seafood enchiladas and the crab stuffed chicken were to die for! I wish I had a photo, but I really recommend the seafood enchiladas!! Also they have a coconut cream cheesecake (with gluten free graham cracker crust) that was so incredible, it almost tasted like the caramel delight Girl Scout cookies! 10/10 recommend.
They have the best cornbread. Food are delicious, drink are good too. This is kind of a better or new version of TexMex. My favorite so far. Too bad that I got very sick last time was there. it knocked a star off my review and might take awhile for my stomach to forgive.
We eat here about once every couple of months. Inl take the kids because of the great selection of food for kids. They usually order macaroni and cheese and it comes with chicken tenders on top. The meal includes one side, a drink and ice cream and I think it is 5.99. I get various things. I last got a pasta dish that was outstanding! Oh and last but not least, the coconut cream pie with Oreo cookie crust was the best thing you can put in your mouth!
As a frequent guest and a person that once worked there, I can say this is one of the best (actually, probably is the best) places to eat in Cedar Park. I went to work there because I loved the food and needed extra $ for the holidays. I ended up staying employed much longer than expected, because I enjoyed working there. The owners are wonderful people that I want to support. As in all restaurants, the staff can fluctuate and change, leaving occasional gaps in great service, but they have an amazing training system set up to ensure the best possible service training they can. Anyone that has a bad service experience, please tell management, they really do care! They can not fix something if they dont know its broke. The food specials were always something to look forward to, and they love to challenge themselves with new ideas. For what Texas and Austin in general has to offer for food, this is one of the best for the area. Having traveled the country, it could be better, but they are in Texas working with local farmers with what they have available and making it affordable for all 😉 Support LOCAL!!!
I’ve been here a couple of times and have never posted a review. This gem is underrated while located in Cedar Park, TX. Everything made here is fresh and sourced from local farmers. They even have a little garden in the front of the entrance where they grow their own basil and mint leaves to name a couple of the herbs. Nikki was my waitress this time around and she was great. I didn’t feel rushed and she checked in on us periodically in a timely manner.
We liked this place. I had the meatloaf, which looked and tasted more steak-like than meatloafy, and my friend had the chicken nachos. The nachos were heavy on the chipotle flavor and she was kinda over them before she was halfway done, although we both enjoyed the flavor at first. Probably best to leave the nachos as a shareable appetizer. The BEST thing we ate was the butternut squash bread pudding. It was absolutely delicious. One of the best bread puddings I have ever tasted. Two reasons I didnt rate this place a 5: their iced tea was so weak it looked more like dirty water than tea, and our waiter wasnt as attentive as we would have liked.Otherwise, I will be coming back next time Im in town.
The chili was really salty. The server didnt fill ice tea until I asked 4 times. The chef special stuff trout was amazing. Its the only reason they got even 3 stars. They had more servers cleaning the floors while we ate vs filling water. I also had to ask for our credit card after 10 mins cause they misplaced it.
This was a fantastic place to eat. We had the oyster shooters and the pork taquitos for appetizers. They were very good the oysters were tender and did not overwhelm the palate. The taquitos were very flavorful. For the entre I had the Tinga Chicken Rellenos. The texture was very good and full of flavor. They were very spicy. I was not ready for the spice, but it was good.
This Saturday, my husband and I went out for a date night, having 2 kids does not make this a regular treat for us so we knew that we wanted it to be special. I work in the industry at another Cedar Park restaurant so the idea of going out to eat after having been at work is always daunting, couple that with the fact that I am vegan and my husband is not and our options become fewer and far between, I know every vegan option on every menu in a 20 mile radius and the top contender is always side salad or french fries. My husband recommended Blue Corn Harvest and it was a stroke of genius on his part. We arrived about an hour before closing and sat on the patio. Our server was courteous and allowed us time to look over the menu without appearing rushed or annoyed, which I appreciated greatly since I had never been there and because it was late and we were obviously his last table. I ordered a Pomegranate Basil Martini and my husband ordered a beer and we shared the Harvest Four appetizer. First of all, my martini was FABULOUS! I wanted to drink 3 or 4 more of them because they tasted THAT good, I did however resist my temptation because trust me, they pack a wonderfully delicious punch. The Harvest Four included fresh salsa, guacamole, and a skillet queso served with chips- I anticipated nothing fabulous out of the appetizer given it is fairly normal for a Texas eatery to include these items but I was pleasantly surprised. The flavors and freshness of these simple items was remarkable. My husband pleaded with me to taste the queso, again I am vegan so I gave my husband that look and he just smiled and said, No babe, try this. So the vegan tasted the queso, and guess what? The vegan did have more bites, I in fact ate that cheese concoction and felt zero regrets about it, it was THAT good. I am around cheese up to my ears at my job, queso as well, and I dont touch it in any form, but THIS cheese was superb! For my entree I chose the Roasted Veggie Burger, that being said I do NOT like mushrooms, never have, never will-unless they are served to me at Blue Corn Harvest! I decided to have the burger as it came and give it a chance, although our server did inform me that mushroom was a component of the sandwich; I am glad that I did because for the first time in my life I enjoyed a mushroom! The sweet potato fries were on point and my husbands salad was beyond compare from the garden fresh greens brought in that morning to the beautifully nostalgic buttermilk ranch dressing(this was the HOUSE salad mind you and yes the vegan ate and LOVED the ranch dressing too). I ordered a house margarita to finish and was pleased to find that it tasted refreshing and light as well as strong and I enjoyed the hint of key-lime-esque flavor that swirled around my palate. I have to say however, after experiencing the martini that I had, I find myself wanting to see just what all the bartenders can do and what the Bar Manager incorporates into the menu because it is very apparent that creativity and fresh ingredients are his passion, so I will likely not be ordering a house margarita in the future, not because it wasnt wonderful but because I am captivated by the rest of the possibilities. The service was superb our entire visit and the Bar Manager came out and really made the whole meal come together with his explanation of the vision of Blue Corn Harvest as well as making my husband and I feel very much like VIPs with his chefs table level of service. We are fans for life and are looking forward to many more memorable moments, and this vegan is excited to have found a place where I can truly order anything off of the menu because I trust that it is compassionately sustained, sourced, prepared and served. Anyone in management or is a front of house or back of house employee at an eatery would do well to study how its supposed to be done from Blue Corn Harvest because from what I see, they are doing it better than anyone in the area, maybe even the state. Well done Blue Corn Harvest, well done.
It took me too long to visit this place. I moved to within a mile, but didnt try them for six months. That was a bad decision, as I could have eaten here many more times, had I started earlier. The half priced appetizers during happy hour are an amazing value, as good as, if not better than Jack Allen. The entrees are also a great value for the high quality of food served. To top it off they serve my favorite beer, Electric Jellyfish on tap. This is my new favorite restaurant.
This was our first time here and I actually wasnt really looking forward to trying it but the hubs has been asking to go for a while. The food far exceeded our expectations and the atmosphere was great. There were a couple large parties seated nearby and I was shocked at how quiet the restaurant was! To make it all even better we had one of the most personable waitresses we have ever had. I dont recall her name but she had pinkish hair. She was very attentive and all around just a lovely person with great energy! It definitely makes all the difference when you get an amazing waiter or waitress! We look forward to coming back soon!
The food was great. We ordered meatloaf and blue corn crusted salmon. The only problem with this restaurant is there are a lot of flies. It disrupts the atmosphere when they are landing all over our food. I would not recommend eating outside here. I am sure it would be better if we ate inside.
Seated quickly and very politely. The absolute best farm to table around. Choices are fantastic. Service exceptional. The food was fantastic Although the majority of the dishes are farm to table, my seafood/chicken enchilada was the best Ive had.Staff gets to sample the nightly specials before they are offered to the public. The specials always come highly recommended.A must go to if you are in the Cedar Park area.
We had a decent experience at Blue Corn, the wait time wasnt bad for a Sunday morning, they told us 30 minutes but it was closer to 20. The service was good. The menu selection was varied enough to have something for everyone. They are a farm to table restaurant so everything was really fresh. One of the dishes, though, wasnt great as my friends grilled chicken tasted like it had been cooked on a grill that either wasnt cleaned well, or was scraped but not wiped off. It tasted more sooty than burned. Just be on the lookout for that, but otherwise the food was good. I had the BBQ burger with sweet potato fries, one of our group had a house salad with chicken, and another had the catfish.Parking can be a little cramped when its busy because there is an IHOP next door and the area us shared, but no matter where you park, there isnt a long walk to the door. There are indoor and outdoor seating areas, we chose outside because the weather was beautiful. Outside seating is a nice deck covered by a pergola, so the sun isnt beating down on you, which is nice.Overall, the whole experience a good, except for the one chicken dish. Id definitely go back to eat there again.
I ordered the quality seafood paella and it did not disappoint! We also sat outside and it began to downpour on us but the staff was still amazing through it all, running out to us to ensure we were still doing alright..five stars isn’t enough...the staff alone is five star quality and the food is another 5 Stars...this will always be highly recommended to friends and family!
This is the best restaurant in all of Georgetown, Jarrell, and Round Rock! I think I have been here close to 15 times in 1 year. I’ve tried the chicken fried chicken, beef enchilada (4 times), pork enchiladas, taco salad, meat loaf, brunch, and salmon. The variety of food they serve here is great and the do not skimp on quality. I am obsessed with blue corn.
In town for a wedding and was looking for a brunch spot. This was perfect! Food was amazing, loved the cornbread (could have made a meal out of that) then had the chef s special. Amazing barbacoa enchiladas with fried egg on top. Everything tasted so fresh. Loved our waiter, he was knowledgeable, upbeat and personable.
Loved it. Chicken diablo linguine was magnificent! Cadillac Margarita was fantastic as well as the frozen margs. I got spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer and I would gladly order it again. Everything including the service was A+. Atmosphere is laid back and staff is very friendly and personable. 10/10 will be back again!!
Hands down our favorite restaurant in Cedar Park. We go here for any and every reason! Brunch, showing someone new to the area, dinner with family in town, dinner before a concert, date night, casual lunch and the list goes on.Farm to table food with the most incredible fresh ingredients and creative combinations. If you go Everything is delicious but you must order the 512 Blue Corn Taquitos.... life changing!Staff is amazing and they have a great combination of indoor and outdoor shaded seating. We Love Blue Corn Harvest!!!While we love y’all we were really taken back when you reposted the angry rant from the Texas Restaurant Association. Just felt it was unexpected and disappointed given the circumstances. We came out to support y’all too when we could just stay home. I also think opening too soon has left us with bad taste in our mouth. We will not be going back until things calm down and they figured out the challenges of operations during this time.
This is one restaurant that cares about the customer they treat you so good in here They made a special effort to get a booth cleaned for my mother and I and the food is excellent they had a Mia Mia seafood dish and my mother had that It was so light and cooked so well perfectly my steak was fantastic my ribeye was perfect they know what theyre doing there 10 🌟 🤩
For the Austin folk who live North, Blue Corn Harvest (BCH) is another fantastic Tex-Mex place to frequent. When compared to two of the most frequented Tex-Mex restaurants in Austin, Chuys and Trudys; for me this restaurant overall wins that battle. BCHs food and alcoholic beverages are both superior to Chuys. I strongly believe BCHs alcoholic drinks especially separate them from Chuys. For Trudys, its not even close at how much better the food at BCH is. As far as the alcoholic drinks I would give Trudys the edge there because their Mexican martinis are epic. BCH can make some strong margaritas to combat Trudys martini, but you need to pay some additional money to add a floater to your margarita. Some restaurants I have a favorite dish that I will generally always get, but BCH is not that type of restaurant for me. I generally will bounce around with the type of dishes that I get here and I am generally very pleased with the dish. I chose BCH for a birthday on one occasion and they offered a special lamb dish that was amazing. A dish that is a must try through in my opinion is the Steak Enchiladas. 10/10 for sure! Get the chicken nachos for an appetizer if you are hungry. They were delicious! Please note that like Chuys and Trudys, if you attempt to go to BCH during normal dinner hours on Friday and Saturday night; expect a decent wait. Most of the dishes at BCH are reasonably priced and not on the expensive side.
This place is amazing! Its a scratch made kitchen with 2 chefs that do an amazing job. This was our cost visit and we will go back, over and over again. I had the beef enchiladas, black beans and rice. The beef was so tender, it just melted in my mouth. Everything was perfectly seasoned! Even the bar was outstanding in the margarita on the rocks. They even have vegan and vegetarian options. The service was fast, professional and friendly. Lots of nom-nom-noms!!!
I saw the reviews online and decided to try it. We sat outside because it wasnt super hot plus it is covered with plenty of fans blowing. The food was great. The complimentary cornbread was perfect. My son had the pork enchiladas and I had the steak burrito. I rarely eat steak and I really liked the burrito. Its too big for one meal, so I have leftovers. I tried my sons food and it was good too. That backyard mule was right. Lol. Whoever made it knows what he or she is doing. Our server was wonderful. I will definitely go again. Great service and great food will get my money anytime. Awesome job yall.
Easily the best restaurant in Cedar Park. I tell anyone in the area to try it out and they all rave about it. Its always busy and crowded because all of the locals know how amazing it is. The Crab Stuffed Chicken is their flagship dish and I highly recommend it. Decided to try the chicken Tinga Relleno and it was delicious as well!
This #feast was picked up today from @bluecornharvest in #cedarparktxFrom their perfect menu we picked the Harvest #4, 512 Pork Taquitos, Avocado and Beet Salad, and the Blue Crab Stuffed Chicken. Pardon me while I sleep off my #foodcoma 😂Great local restaurant that supports other local businesses! Dont forget to grab some wine to go with dinner #tunnelofelms is only available at restaurants like this (not in stores!)Cheers!
First timers. Food was excellent! Ribeye Steak Sandwich and Fries Special. Free homemade Cornbread Muffins and Honey Butter. Food served very fast. Randy our waiter was great, very friendly and informative. Manager Jeff introduced himself, shook my hand and gave me a couple of $5’s off the next meal cards. Staff look you right in the eye, smile and talked to us like we were friends. Love this place, they know how to treat people right.Thank you Jeff, Randy and Staff, we’ll be back soon!
We have not been here since the pandemic started. This was one of my favorite local places before. This place has gone way, way down here. The service was absolutely horrible. My wife and I were watching staff bickering with each other and arguing. We spent two and half hours here for cold food.My wife went to the bathroom and wore her mask and as she was leaving the bathroom someone on the wait staff called her a sheep as she was walking out the door. Really???Not sure what has happened with the management here but I will not be back.
We go to the happy hour food and drinks regularly, the wait staff and bartenders are professional and attentive, the food is always great, this last time we were there we spent $100 on appetizers and drinks in one hour with a healthy tip for staff, a great value for the money. The on duty manager on this evening (Andy) had a bit of an attitude for some reason, like hed rather be somewhere else, but everyone else working there was in good spirits, we enjoyed our meal and will continue to come to BCH :) 5 Stars! Enjoy!
Ive been coming here off and on since they first opened up. Stacks up nicely to any restaurant downtown Austin, but I hadnt gone in a little while mostly because I had gone so frequently in the past, I was getting a little tired of the menu. However, just took my daughter today during lunch, and theyve really added some delicious selections. Had the artichoke stuffed Chicken over a bed of fresh sauteed vegetables, and the sauce they used over the top was excellent.Rarely get dessert, but they brought out their Pecan pie, and it was very tasty. Just wish it had been warm instead of cold. Overall, back up to a 5 star for me, when it had previously hovered around a 3, in regard to should I go or not? emotional choicing.
The perfect lunch get-a-way without an airport. This is one of the best not so hidden gems of Central Texas. A relaxing atmosphere with great service people, **thats you, Megan!!** and a very warm and welcoming environment. The food is fresh, uniquely fashioned, and of course delicious. Dont tell the other customers, but were your favorite!
Awesome place! The bartenders and waitstaff were so friendly and fun to talk with. I really enjoyed sitting at the bar and only wish it was bigger. The drinks were delicious and reasonably priced. The food had great flavor, could have just been a little hotter, temperature wise. I look forward to going back!Oh! And another huge bonus, masks are not required for patrons!
Not to be confused with Blue Harvest or Return of the Jedi (if you get that joke, you earned your Geek Card), this restaurant serves a startling Tex-Mex hybrid menu that deserves a try.Their margaritas are delicious, their chips are tasty (get the guacamole - youll thank me), and their entrees are ample but not overdone. I found the chicken pasta original, I wanted that mac and cheese dish, and I coveted the enchiladas dish of my family. Recommended at least two visits.
Make reservations!! Saturday at 6:00 was a very popular time! We should have made reservations!Although we had to wait quite a while, when we were seated (5 of us) we had a private little room! Loved it!!The salmon was good could have used some more sauce. The cocktails were good. Chicken fried steak was enough for 2!The wait staff were extremely friendly and very accommodating. The Hostess was not very friendly. Actually a bit snippy. I think she was overwhelmed. She told us she couldnt tell us how much longer a wait... she said, when somebody leaves! (More training is advised. )I will absolutely go back... with reservations!!
We were in town for the weekend with my daughters volleyball team and stumbled upon this amazing restaurant! The food and drinks were great, but the customer service and professionalism from everyone we interacted with was amazing! We truly appreciate how they accommodated us and made us feel welcomed. All orders came out perfect, the staff was friendly, and very attentive. We’ll for sure be back next time we are in town!
We had Theo as our waiter last night and he was fantastic! Such a great personality and overall wonderful customer service! He was so great with my kids as we had 5 boys with us! We have been here many times before but last night was by far the best experience we ever had!! Going back again for sure!! Also the drinks are strong and the food is delicious!!
First our wait person was excellent. I am sad I do not remember her name. She made recommendations and talked about the menu options as well as how they sourced the food. She was also attentive without being annoying. Best part our food was cooked to order and arrived at our table hit. Both of us loved our dishes. I had the Texas Club sandwich without the bun and those sweet potato fries were best I have ever had. My friend had the Blue Corn Crust Crispy Salmon and raved about it. I know I will return.
First time visitor. We will start with the good. My daughters mac and cheese was excellent. My wife enjoyed her southwest grilled chicken salad. Now the bad. I ordered the chicken fried ribeye which is categorized as a specialty. All I have to say is no its not. Everything that could be wrong was. The meat was full of gristle, had a pile about one quarter the size of the whole steak which was inedible. Awfully expensive poor cut of meat. The breading did not stay attached to the meat at all... One slice and it all came loose. Finally the meat was very bland only seasoning was in the breading which obviously had technical problems. If youll are gonna call chicken fried steak one of your specialties here in Texas then you need to get the fundamentals down son. One of the worst I think I have ever had.
My wife and I ordered two beers and a harvest appetizer but after receiving appetizers we never were asked about ordering an entree until 40 minutes later after we had already asked for a check. Im sure the rest of our meal would have been good but the waiter took too long and we were no longer hungry.
Everything was absolutely perfect! I ordered the ribeye with Cajun sauce, my husband ordered the crab stuffed chicken breast. This was our first time there and we will definitely be going back! The staff was super sweet, the owner came out and greeted us. He explained that all the food is locally grown. Definitely scored a 10 out of 10 with us.
I visited on June 1st, 2021 with my 1 1/2 year old husky. As soon as we walked up they greeted us and sat us down. The staff was very friendly, welcoming and they were all loving and caring pet people. Every waiter/waitress there came up to pet my dog and they told us their pet stories. On the topic of server we had Kyle and he was absolutely wonderful, very sweet, patient, and was very loving to our dog.I absolutely love the atmosphere that blue corn harvest has for both you and your pet. The patio is very opened and the staff all has mask. Besides that the food is wonderful and I am looking forward to visiting blue corn harvest of cedar park.Thank you again,Trinity, Matthew & Ozzie 🐾🐾
I would love to have been given the opportunity to leave a great review for Blue Corn Harvest Bar & Grill, but unfortunately I am unable to. When I called to make a dinner reservation for 14 for my family (all in town for a wedding) they turned me away, stating they would not accept a party that size after 4:30. If youre party is larger than 6 people you have to get manager approval, and the manager did not approve ours. Too bad, as we would have loved to try them. We were readily accommodated at a different great restaurant that is close by, and we will no longer be trying to get in at Blue Corn Harvest. I will add that we have had many other restaurants accommodate our large family for dinner in the past, with no problems. Not sure what the deal is with this one.
You cant go wrong with Blue Corn Grill! Their salmon is one of the best dishes Ive had at a restaurant. Weve tried just about everything on their menu, and its all insanely fresh and delicious. Wait times can be a bit much, but thats what happens when the food is this good. Theres something for everybody!
The food is great...if you can finally get to it.Ive worked in food service, I know how busy it can get, but regardless of if its busy or slow or ordering to-go, it always takes forever and the staff isnt very helpful. The latest fumble was I ordered just a regular bowl of soup to go and when I came home, it was a cups worth of soup. Definitely ordered and was charged for a bowl. When I had called the restaurant back, I was put on hold for over 5 minutes, none of the employees seemed to be able to give me a straight answer and just sort of pushed me to another person. I gave up and hug up. Their frozen margarita also tasted like soap like they didnt fully wash out the mixer, YUCK!Maybe one day I can go back but if you mess up just a simple bowl of soup, theres bigger problems at hand.
Came in on Friday 2-26-21 for a late lunch. It was my first time visiting after hearing all the hype. I was not disappointed. Food was amazing and the attention to detail is impeccable. The entire bar staff was awesome and I was impressed in not just their professionalism but the way they worked as a team and went above and beyond to help with it being my first time. The pork enchiladas were impeccable! They convinced me to try the Shipleys Donut Bread Pudding! Holy cow, what a game changer. Everything I was served was delicious including the cornbread and tortilla soup. You MUST give this place a try. Icing on the cake, it’s all local farm to table. Will definitely be back!
Underwhelming experience. I ordered the Baja Shrimp tacos that came with blue corn tortillas. However, the tortillas were cold and you could tell they were straight from the bag. My friend ordered the street tacos which were also not very tasty. Also, our waiter was awkward and wasn’t very friendly. We won’t be returning here.
This place is always our go-to whether for take out or dining in. During the height of the stay at home order, we order from here almost every week to help them stay in business! The ground beef enchiladas are delicious every time and a family favorite. We think their margarita mix is the best in NW Austin, and sometimes just order some to-go margs and the Harvest Four for a Friday night treat. I LOVE that they have a decent size gluten free menu too. The Patio is super cute, but get there early if you dont want to wait for a table during nice weather.
1st time there. Food was great, these are the oyster shooters we tried as appetizer. YUM!! The drinks were on point too i had the blues brothers and my wife tried the Fredericksburg peach. To eat, I had the street tacos and my wife had the salmon. Food was delicious!! Will be back again.
This place is a little jewel. We shared the steak & shrimp quesadillas, which were delicious. Service was excellent. My only issue was they have gone totally to reading QR codes on your phone and no printed menu....OK unless you sport a decrepit Android like me. Our waitress was kind enough to accommodate us. Plan to visit again with tech savvy friends.
Absolutely loved my experience at Blue Corn. With a lovely outdoor area and a warm and cozy indoor environment, you couldn’t ask for more. The food is farm to table and is absolutely delicious. I didn’t get any pictures of the food because it looked too good and I dug in as soon as it hit the table. The staff were all super attentive and prompt. I’d definitely recommend this restaurant to all of my friends and family.
My button-pushing complaint, not staging the orders. We ordered a beet salad to split, and tacos and enchiladas, as we were splitting the salad, the hot food arrived. We did mention it to our server, would have been happier w/ a comped drink than the oh sorry response.Other than that, nice place.

2022-06-27Usually I do the Harvest Taco Friday’s Noontime, but the Taco salad sounded really good today - new items for me and super good, just like everything else we’ve had there. My coworker ate every single sweet potato fry and said the burger was amazing. The artichoke-spinach appetizer was delicious, as well (devoured before pictures). This place is always a favorite.

2022-02-19It’s been a minute since I’ve visited this location and I have to say that it is much improved. It’s always so hard to find a good family brunch spot in Cedar Park that isn’t too crowded and has good service. Blue Corn checked all the boxes today. Great kids menu, tasty brunch options ( try the avocado eggs Benedict - so good!), and solid, attentive service. I also tried the ‘’ make your own Bloody Mary” bar which was really fun and stocked with tons of options for sprucing up your cocktail. All- in- all, I had a great experience and will absolutely be back.

2022-06-27Great food , decent prices, clean establishment and friendly service what more could you ask for? Slamming Queso? They got it. Vegetarian Fajitas? They got it. Big as your face burrito? You guessed it, they got it. Everything was fresh and delicious. Will definitely be back again. As well as regular menu they have gluten free and vegan menu ‼️

2022-06-24We were excited to finally get to try Blue Corn Harvest and made reservations to make sure we got a table. It was very underwhelming. Their menu is certainly out of the ordinary for a Mexican spot, no fajitas for example. Unfortunately, everything was tried was just okay and there werent any real home runs. The place was packed, so clearly some people enjoy it. It just wasnt for us.Service was good.

2022-07-02It was our first time visiting and it’s delicious. Better than Jack Allen’s hands down and the price point is very reasonable. We tried the appetizer special fried shrimp in polenta, chicken fried steak and coconut cream pie. I can’t wait to go back!Beef enchiladas are solid!!!Going back and trying a new entree each time, the chicken Diablo pasta is a solid choice too. Everything is so good!

2022-06-05I did not have much expectations from another Tex-Mex food restaurant in Austin, but Blue Corn was different in the sense that the flavors were subtle, and the food was cooked to perfection. Not overly soft or chewy. The meat was delicious, and so was the dessert. We ordered beef enchiladas, and my kid had mac n cheese. We usually do not eat out at restaurants, but Blue Corn certainly did not disappoint us.

2022-05-06Excellent mix of comfort food with a Tex-mex flair. The salsa, queso and guacamole starter was all very good. Followed that up with beef enchiladas which had an excellent sauce on them. The black beans were good, but i still wish they had refried. But thats my only complaint.Service was attentive but not annoying. Definitely coming back.

2022-05-09We gave it a shot for the first time. It serves southwestern cuisine and is reasonably priced. A nice, simple setting with an outside patio. I tried the Artichoke Stuffed Chicken. It was excellent. The chicken was tender and moist. Sautéed vegetables with a delicious side of rice. Their round cornbread muffins with white cream were delicious. I intend to return.

2022-06-21I am traveling with my dog and wanted to go to a place that allowed pets. We sat out on the patio, which was really nice. The waiter and staff were great and the food was delicious! I had the stuffed chicken with artichoke!
