Readers --- Our Pool is still unfinished - Carlos contacted us today and delayed work again. We have asked for help over and over again. Blue Haven continues to Cancel their appointments to make corrections.I agreed to enter the contract based on the plans and Blue Haven’s assurances that their employees would perform all work. Everyone that Actually Performed Work on the Pool has been a contract employee. With no Supervision.When you compare the actual pool to the plans, it is clear that the pool is too high out of the ground. This creates drainage issues. And trip hazards. Since I am going to be responsible for the other concrete work around the pool, this is going to cost me more money than I anticipated. Higher concrete areas around the pool. In the very beginning prior to any work being done when the frames were put up I told Sales Rep. Mike Wilson that the pool was going to be too high, but he did not address this issue. Or Blue Haven did not address this issue. It has to be corrected!Further, the pool is deeper than shown in the plans. The Pool is 5 ft deep where it is supposed to be 4 ft deep. We have specific reasons for the depth of the pool, and having the pool too deep makes it unusable for us. The fact that Kelly is 4.11 makes most of the pool over her head. This was addressed with Carlos. The top stair is 12 inches, which is not acceptable. If the pool was the correct depth at 3 ft at the stairs the steps could all be 9 to 10 inches and the last step would be 6 to 9 inches onto the floor of the pool. We have been over this many times with Carlos. He said Blue Haven would charge us for another step. I am not paying Blue Haven for any additional steps. We should not need an additional step if the Pool was correct. Sidestepping the issue that the pool is not built per the plan specifications. This is Blue Havens fault, not ours.As for workmanship, Blue Haven has failed in many ways. The entrance at the bottom of the stairs was originally too deep, so to correct this, the workers added Gunite at an angle up to the stairs. It is not flat at the stairs, but there is a steep angle that when plastered you could easily slip on. The workers also did not use any type of bonding agent or rebar to adhere the new gunite to the cured gunite. We have been told by an engineer that it will turn loose after a period of time. I also questioned the gunite crew and Carlos just before they added the gunite if they were going to add rebar to hold the gunite. Blue Haven is going to be responsible if that gunite chips or turns loose in the future.The corners are not squared off, Kelly specifically asks Carlos who was going to take care of this. We were told the Gunite guys would do it. The gunite crew said the Plaster guys. This was typical of the run-arounds we would get. Here is another example. The frame was leaning on the W.O.W. This could have easily been corrected by anyone who does framing.

Loving our Blue Haven Pool!!After meeting with 4 different pool companies, we decided to go with Blue Haven. This was the best decision we made! The pool build process was very smooth from the beginning with Mike (our sales rep/pool designer) & into the final days with Jorge (superintendent) and Mike (project mgr). Jorge and his crew were amazing to work with! This was such a great experience - they were always professional & courteous and the quality of work with attention to detail was impressive & much appreciated. Jorge and his crew not only informed us of what work was getting done that day but also what to expect as next steps throughout the process. I sincerely appreciate Jorge for always responding to our calls & questions without making us feel like he was inconvenienced & for ALWAYS showing up when he says he is. Again - this was an amazing experience & our family looks forward to many years of fun in our Blue Haven pool! Huge thank you to Jorge for everything including keeping our build on track.

After getting quotes from 4 different pool companies, I decided to go with Blue Haven Pools and it was by far the best decision Ive made. The customer service is impeccable and it was a very smooth process from beginning to end. My superintendent Carlos is amazing at his job. His attention to detail and his friendly personality is a huge asset to Blue Haven. Carlos was always willing to answer my calls or text whenever I had concerning or random questions. It speaks volumes when the worker have only nice things to say about the superintendent that they work for. I hope this review reaches the right person because the the hard working employees (Carlos) never get recognized for making the company look good. I have already referred 2 other neighbors to go with Blue Haven for their pools. Thank you Blue Haven and Carlos for making my dream pool come to life. Blessings.

I consulted 4 different pool companies over a 1.5 year period before deciding to go with Blue Haven. I chose them because I had references from neighbors that used them and had a good experience. I liked their design the best, the pricing was in the middle of the 4 companies and they were able to do the job within the timeline I wanted. Most other companies were 9-12 months out before they could even start. As with any construction project you have to make sure that the plan communicates what you are wanting and get that corrected in the beginning. Carlos, the superintendent was great through the entire process. Very communicative and answered my questions thoroughly. He delivered the project very close to on time which I was happy with considering all the labor/supply issues going on. We did have an issue with an inlet that needed to be fixed after construction was complete but Blue Haven took care of it.

The process of design and contacting was easy and we were able to make some last minute changes before construction began. Carlos Macías was our project manager and he was great to work with. He went above and beyond the call of duty to make sure we were happy. We had some frustrating times with sub contractors not always showing up when they were supposed to and the quality/workmanship of the concrete on our deck did not meet our expectations. We appreciated how hard Carlos worked to make sure the final product was a beautiful pool we can be proud of and enjoy for years to come.Mayra and James H.

We have been so pleased with Blue Haven Pools which has just completed our new pool! Our salesman, Joe Rodriguez, along with Jerry and Ricky have been exceptional in their expertise, recommendations, knowledge, and responsiveness. Every crew and every phase of the process has been the most pleasant experience. They definitely are all hard working and experts at what they do! Can’t wait to actually get in it and enjoy! Joe designed our pool, and Carlos was our job superintendent. Joe’s design for our pool turned out fantastic. Carlos was there every step of the way for my family and I. He would let us know when different phases of the pool build we’re going to happen, so our two boys could see the progress first hand. Carlos was also super considerate with his foresight, so we were prepared for the different stages of the pool build, and we could in turn let our neighbors know as a common courtesy. Carlos took the time to go over all of my and my wife’s questions and concerns and never rushed us or made us feel like an inconvenience, which is a rarity. Carlos’s work crews were always super professional, punctual, and respectful of both our property but also my neighbors. It is exceedingly difficult to find people as diligent and caring to a customers concerns, but Carlos is definitely one of the good guys!

Every aspect of dealing with Blue Haven was frustrating and unprofessional. We had them install a pool and spa at our home. They built the spa differently than the original design we approved and made us feel bad about wanting it corrected after the fact. There were multiple departments that did not coordinate with each other, even though we had a project manager, it was our job to track down the right person to answer any questions or get help along the way. The equipment used was subpar, we had three different pool professionals tells us the heater was much too small for our project and Blue Haven refused to help in any way after they received our final payment. We ended up putting an additional $8,000 into our pool equipment to purchase and install the correct heater for our system. All the while, Blue Haven was of zero help. I have never left a review (good or bad) for any company, but felt the need to warn anyone considering using this company.

The design and customization of our pool was a smooth process. However, we were promised multiple times that the project would be completed on time, if not earlier. We were promised this by the designer as well as the construction manager. There were many weeks that no one would show and any time we called for status, if we even received a response (the construction manager often sent us to voicemail or ignored our texts and the salesman didnt answer our calls at all after the contract was signed) we were told that the build was on a schedule and that we may not have someone out every day but we would be done by the contract date if not sooner, every time we reached out this was the response.The contract date. The contract date is fluid. There was no exact date provided. The contract indicates that the project would be completed in 80 business days not including holidays or weekends and rain would add 5 days. There was an abundance of rain this summer. However, there were several weeks of no rain throughout the build where no one would show. The lack of communication is the reason I give a poor rating in professionalism. Any time you have a contract communication is vital. If they would have stayed in contact with us we would have been more understanding or at least aware of the hold-ups. When the pool was finally completed the construction manager admitted that our pool along with two others had been forgotten and they were now scrambling to get them done. We are close to three months after completion and we are still waiting for a filter that was said to be on back order. I have called the office a few times and once was even told that our filter was ordered. That was a month ago.We love the completed project and we are thankful that there havent been any issues. However, when they came to teach us the equipment we were told not to mess with the box and we didnt need to know the ins and outs of it because everything we needed to know is in the app. There have been a couple of occasions where there was an update in the equipment or issues due to power outage and we dont know how to get the equipment going again. Each piece of equipment has its own manual; we have about 10 manuals and when the box gives an error message it doesnt provide you with the name of the manual you should reference. Additionally, most of the manuals tell you how to install the equipment and there isnt one tailored to our complete system. The service department is closed on the weekends and even if you leave a message they do not call you back the first business day.It appears that once you sign the contract it is no longer their priority to keep in touch with you. The design and finished product actually deserves a five star rating. I just feel that with the amount of money we spent on this project we deserve to be better informed. The overall experience with the lack of communication and lack of follow-up warrants the two stars.

I had the best experience you can possibly have with Blue Haven. Definitely 5 out of 5 stars! My supervisor Blas did an exceptional job. He was on top of the building process of our pool from start to finish. He was very accessible, informative and was an absolute pleasure to work with. He made sure to keep me updated and informed throughout the whole process. He took great measures to answer any and all the questions that we had in a very prompt manner. Because of Blas we have recommended Blue Haven to all of our friends and family members. Blas is a tremendous asset to Blue Haven !
