This was our first time buying an RV and Jason Soda at Camping World made the whole experience awesome! He was straight forward, answered any questions we had ,and worked within our budget. He was also great with our kids who had tagged along. We left Camping World feeling positive on our purchase and wouldn’t recommend any other place to buy an RV, hands down, the best!
My husband and I went to to Camping World of Alvarado 10 days ago to look at RVs. We had never looked at them before and the variety was overwhelming. We were lucky to have Diego as our salesperson who carefully listened to us as we explained what kind of experience we wanted in an RV. He showed us units at that met our expressed needs and was very knowledgeable about all the amenities contained in each of the units. Quite a feat!Diego was very patient with us and never hurried us with a hard sale approach.We highly recommend that you ask for Diego to help you select the RV you are looking for and that will be within your budget! We had a great experience at Camping World.
Purchased a Motor Home November of 2020. Left it there for warranty repairs later in the year Octoberish. STILL have not gotten my RV back. Called corporate and no one calls me back. Thor the manufacturer already sent the parts needed but apparently camping world damaged something else while repairing the warranty stuff. Now those parts are back ordered supposedly. I will never buy even toilet paper from this place. Just got off phone with a “Manager” who seemed to not have a care in the world and said sometimes Technicians break things while trying to pull other things apart. I had to pay them to winterize my RV because they still have it and he said any other RV shop would charge me. (But they broke the other parts that are back ordered) yet I still have to pay for winterizing. I asked if they could at least wash exterior it if it’s ready today because I need it in the morning and service lady said “ oh the new manager doesn’t like to do that” …. Buyers be ware! Spend your money elsewhere and use small business RV repair shops!
We had a great experience with our salesman Tony. He knows his job and does it well, if he doesn’t know an answer he will find someone that does. The reason for a four star rating is that the financial department was less than spectacular. Over all the experience was good and we would recommend Camping world of Alvarado.
We did not buy anything here, but the people were so incredibly nice I would not hesitate to recommend them!!! Our car broke down and they helped us push it into a safe spot and let my boys and dog enjoy the AC, water, popcorn and candy without any hesitation. I am very, very grateful for such kind, considerate people and know that if this is how they treat a stranger with nothing to gain, they will treat you right too!
Great staff, today was our first day looking for a RV. Ernest was our tour guy and He was amazing. He showed us what We wanted and taught us the basics of the RV We could pull with our truck… Was a great experience. Definitely when we be ready to buy I would comeback here.
I was late for my appointment but they graciously told me it was not a problem and called my salesman Jason Soda. He took me out to the model I wanted to see and I realized it met my needs perfectly. Jason was professional and friendly. He helped me with the paperwork and guided me through the purchasing of my RV. I would recommend Camping World RV for my friends and family in the future.
Raymond was great! He didnt waste my time showing me things I didnt ask for. We went in with a particular camper in mind and had already done our research. He even came in on his day off to ensure we were able to get the camper deal completed.
We visited Camping World to gain information on small travel trailers. Diego Barona greeted us and really listened to our questions. We had a lot since this was the first time we had shopped for a trailer.Diego was very thorough by first determining the towing capacity of our small SUV then helping us to look at used trailers that fit our needs. He helped us to define the differences in the many models and then determine the best fit for our use.Although we did not purchase a trailer today, when we do, we will use Diego. His thorough analysis, low-key demeanor and his ability to listen made him invaluable as a sales specialist. Thanks Diego.
10 out of 10 would highly recommend! Jacinda was very helpful and considerate when it came to what we were looking for. She took the time to patiently listen to what we wanted and what we needed to have as well as gave us a fantastic detailed tour of the select ones that fit what we were looking for. We purchased our very first RV with Craig Powledge. He was very knowledgeable and provided good service. The general manager was awesome as well, he took his time to come over and introduce himself to us, that spoke volumes about the service they provide.

Great place. Everyone was helpful. Got a pretty good deal on a used toyhauler. They fixed almost everything I asked them too. Which I thought was great because its used. Most places I believe wont do that. And if they couldnt fix it they tried to make up for it in other areas. Overall Im satisfied with how it turned out. Cant wait to go camping!
I just bought a Toy Hauler from Camping World of Alvarado early Feb 2022 and was impressed not only with the prices but the people an the service there ! Mike and all the crew working there helped me to get what I needed to for the road so I would feel safe an comfortable pulling it down the road an even tho I bought a used camper it was just like bran new . Everyone working there were friendly and helpful so I could get just what I wanted an I will buy more things from them as I make it into my winter hideaway from MN Winters .
Was not sure exactly what to expect when Camping World offered to buy my trailer outright (not a trade). We arrived for our appt and it was smooth as silk from there. Was an easy and painless process. I knew going in what my offer was and I was good with it. They were fair and true to their word! We will be looking at the Class C motorhomes they have when we are ready (soon). Won’t hesitate to do business with them at all
The people at Camping World were REALLY nice and accommodating. We had the best salesman, Grant Woods and would recommend him to anyone buying a travel trailer. It was a great experience.
The website for THIS particular store said they had a product in stock. I called to verify before I made the trip. The cashier was busy helping customers and would call me back when she had a moment. I decided to start the drive there in hopes that she would call. Call never happened. We walk in the door and to our surprise there were 0 customers and we find the cashier sitting down in one of the salesmans office laughing and cutting up. I ask her to verify a product and she pulls out her handy dandy Camping World issued stock checker and it too showed they had the item IN STOCK. But surprise! They couldnt locate them. I had to buy another similar product that was $40 more!!!! Will never purchase from here again.
Worst customer service after the sale Ive ever experienced!! My husband and I bought our second recreational camper in November and was promised multiple things to be fixed and taken care of during our 30 day extended warranty (our salesman Lance told us it covers everything top to bottom, front to end) Camping world has scheduled me two service appointments neither one showed up and when we call to check, no one knows what we are talking about! I will never buy from them again and I would recommend the same to anyone who asks!
Everyone from the receptionist, to the sales staff, to the managers were exceptionally nice and helpful. Grant W. made the process of selling my camper completely effortless. When I’m in the market for another camper I’ll return here to do business. Thank you all very much for all of your help!

We reached out to camping world about selling our camper to them or doing consignment. We were quickly reached out to by TJ and he was very friendly and helpful! After getting an appointment set up at the Camping World in Alvarado my husband and I showed up early to our appointment. We were kindly greeted by the receptionist at the desk and Tod Shelton was happy to help us even though it was before our appointment time! Tod was great at communicating with us and we were in and out quick and simple. 10/10 would recommend going back to the Camping World in Alavarado. Thanks Tod, and the entire crew!

He is extremely professional, courteous, and highly knowledgeable.We are experienced RV’rs and have had several RV’s, but we have never had such a thorough walk through. God awful place to buy an RV. Sales rep we used is full of it. Probably why he does not work there any more. Service department doesn’t have a clue about anything and are completely unorganized. I took the RV we just bought in for service. (AC isn’t working, fridge isn’t cooling and they gave us the wrong keys for the under carriage.) left it up there for them to inspect, picked it up a week later and they had zero answers. Haven’t given me a quote, nothing. Haven’t had anyone call me back. Literally completely worthless. I wouldn’t text anyone buying anything from there. What a joke.
Earnesto was great! Courteous and Professional! He took time to show us units that we were interested in even though our purchase date is later this year. All the employees there were enjoying the day and busy with customers. Even though we explained our purchase day was out Earnesto still took time to show us anything we wanted to do. A no pressure sales environment , with helpful and joyful people is a great way to spend time looking at RV.

When we first purchased, tax, title and license department lost out paperwork and took over a year to get our license plates. Then Paid off our RV over a year ago and lien still never lifted, which won’t allow us to get the title. Samantha is apparently the only one able to do this. Great prices and customer service (person who answers) and such but the paperwork side is the worst I have dealt with. They need someone else available to do this other then one person, especially when she is out sick.

I would recommend Lance and Camping World of Alvarado Tx to anyone and everyone I know or that is looking to purchase an RV. The place is very clean and the staff is second to none. They have a wide selection of RV’s from travel trailers to fifth wheels and more. My wife and I had the privilege of meeting and dealing with Lance, who answered all our questions and had the fifth wheel we are interested in open and ready for us to visit. He also shared with us that Camping World acquired more acres of land to expand the selection and inventory on site. Go check them out, you won’t be disappointed!!

This place is a joke, avoid giving them your money at all costs. The business lied to my wife and I three times during our transaction and employees did next to nothing to make the situation right. They are located next to multiple RV centers, it is worth it to give your hard earned money to a more appreciative business with better practices than Camping World
We recently sold our 2021 Keystone Bullet travel trailer to camping World in AlvaradoTexas. Robert (Tod) Shelton assisted us in the transaction. He was a superb helper to my wife and I. I highly recommend Tod and the Alvarado store if you want to sell an RV. Great service and great people.
Honestly, I will NEVER be back. Don’t get me wrong, Raymond M did fantastic and Fernad did amazing at explaining every detail of the camper, they both went out of their way to ensure we had everything needed. On the other hand, Randy in finance was TERRIBLE! Very rude and disrespectful, honestly wanted to walk out and leave right then and there. Seems there may be a poor management issue going on.
Dropped my 2021 Coleman light off here because my AC was freezing up. I recommended they put a temp control thermostat in place to prevent future freezing. They diagnosed nothing wrong with my AC and charged me $150.00. After speaking with Byron on my issue still being prevalent we scheduled to have another technician quote me for a Thermostat. Quote came in at 6 hours labor and just under $1200.00 I accepted believing it would take much less than 6 hours as they informed me it should. I picked up my camper today was informed AC never had a anti freeze switch installed and a bill of almost $1400 for 6 hours worth of work and some new items on the invoice. Spend your hard earned money else where as they just make up prices as they go.

Sold Outright our 5th wheel and dealt with Taylor S. We got a quote and then scheduled a time to drop off unit and experience went really smooth. Took about an hour to look over the unit and we signed paperwork and were on our way! Easy no haggling transaction.
Updating my review because, sure, they will sell you one, but they dont do much after the fact. They sold me a brand new unit that had broken parts and water leaks... couldnt use the water or water heater, etc the first time out in it. Nor could you use the outdoor kitchen... plus a couple of minor issues that werent a big deal but it all adds up. Then we keep discovering issues that should have been addressed at delivery. They kept it a month to fix these items then second outting, another water leak... this time from something they broke fixing the outdoor kitchen... look at the online reviews and statements about Camping World in general and run...Jason Soda was great! I went in with a few units in mind to look at and he found one that was a combination of two that we liked best and it’s perfect for us. No pressure and easy to purchase from. Raymond was awesome with the orientation and walk around of the new trailer. Cullen was great with her initial contact and communication to get the ball rolling. Overall, everyone we met was super helpful and everyone seemed genuinely happy to be there.
Although I found the finance department disorganized( and a few of them actually were rude!), Camping world of Alvarado are very fortunate to have Mike Wells in sales and David( sorry didn’t catch his last name) in PDI! Great customer service from these two guys!
Came in to get a state inspection. They did not require an appointment. The staff was super friendly and Byron took care of me immediately. We have been patrons of the Alvarado Camping World and will continue!
Martin in service did an outstanding job helping us and explaining everything about our RV. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Front desk ladies were nice and prompt in finding ppl for us. Sales needs some work - We were not that impressed with the forgotten call-backs, appt times we never scheduled, and lack of communication and errors in some areas of the sales process. But due to the great svce of Martin, had to say 5 stars.

Purchased a toy hauler from Camping World Alvarado in October 2021. Two interior doors needed to be replaced and was included as part of the purchase agreement that CW would replace them. After being told they forgot to order the doors in November, then they ordered the wrong doors, it’s now been 7 months and still have no doors and CW will not respond to me. Have left multiple messages for the Service Director, Sam, but I’m always told he’s on another line and will call me back, but months later have still yet to hear back or have the doors installed.
I took my rv to camping world in Alvarado for a tune up and oil change on my generator when I got it back I noticed that the generator was leaking oil when I checked it out they had stripped the drain plug out, and when I contacted camping world about they said they would get with service manager and get back to me, I never heard back from them, so I called back and ask for a refund on the oil change, again never heard back. Its really a shame for a company to give this kind of service to its customers and to really not care.Update camping world Alvarado called and are going to refund my money for the oil change.Which I appreciate and I will give them another chance when you time comes for service.

Do not buy an RV from this Camping World. The service department is completely terrible. They have you bring your RV in then wait to file with your warranty….it could be months before anything is EVER fixed! They never call you back either. We even offered to PAY for the repairs on a brand new RV and we’re told that a manager would have to call us back…. Do NOT buy anything here!

A rare and great experience. I have had few good experiences with dealerships, but Camping World in Alvarado, TX is the exception. Greg did everything he said he would do concerning the sale of my travel trailer. A purchase price was set before my arrival. I expected the dealership to change the rules at the last minute, but they didn’t. I was honest with them and they were honest with me. Everyone at the dealership was pleasant and eager to make our experience good. I recommend to everyone looking for an RV to make your first stop at Camping World in Alvarado, TX. They keep their word and no games. And Greg is beyond helpful, he is honest and straight forward while being pleasant. We had an unexpected but welcomed experience.
The staff was very helpful with a positive and outgoing personalities. Our sales got an idea of what we wanted and our price range and only showed us models that fit it. He was not pushy and try and up sale us. It was nice not feeling pressured. I would recommend shopping at Camping world.

Went up to Camping world to get a new camper. Tony found us exactly what we wanted and was super helpful getting everything finalized and walking us through the process. Sold them my 2021 camper And long story short they wouldn’t give me pay off ($29,000) and said they had no wiggle room and offered ($26,000) due to it having little surface cracks in the sealant on the roof and a little water leak in the outdoor water hose attachment ($50) part and some other minor stuff but they said they weren’t worried about minor stuff. Anyway I look on their site the next day and have it for sale for $43,000!!! $17,000 MARK UP???! Mr.Cast said they had no wiggle room. What a rip off place. My dad was looking at motorhomes and I will send him elsewhere
Grant was great me and my wife Melissa was happy when we left. The guys at camping world were great doing my hitch stayed way past there shift to make sure I was taken care of. Would recommend Grant to anyone. Camping world was great.
The experience was very pleasant. Grant took the time, and was patient and helpful as we looked at every single RV. The staff was fun and very helpful in guiding us with financing and insurance. They took time to walk through all of the functions so we would know how everything works. They followed it up with transport and set up! Amazing team there-you won’t be disappointed.

The salesman we met showed us trailers that we were interested in. After we looked at the last trailer, however, and we stepped back into the salesmans office, things began to get pushy. I was basically told that I needed to settle my mind and commit to one of the trailers or I was wasting their time. I found that to be quite disrespectful. I understand that, in many cases, a salesmans number one goal is to make a sell quickly and get that commission, then hurry and move on to the next customer. I have found other salesmen who put customer satisfaction above making a quick sale. I will stick with those salesmen.
While kind and informative. I asked for a simple quote. Required no credit check. I can only assume this wasn’t performed. I didn’t receive a hitI am an Owner of a Cyber Security LLC. I deal with privacy, PCI, and data security for many large corporations.I’m unclear why I would need to provide a State ID and have a picture taken of it. I was simply looking. Obviously I didn’t test drive a fifth wheel. We looked an an A-Class that was blocked in.Anyway, you will get held up for a while as they try and show you numbers. Be prepared if your just looking for models that may work for you.

We were looking for headlights for our class A RV. The person at the counter immediately stated they could not help us. What kind of a service do they provide except useless. She did not even pretend to look up the part or be helpful in anyway. CampingWorld is really the worst place to do business and they will never have ours.
I met with Lance S. this weekend to begin my search for a large 5th wheel trailer for my wife and to I to travel in. Coming in without any knowledge of what my options were it was refreshing to have Lance spend so much time with us and educate us on the wide range of size and style options that are available. He was extremely knowledgeable and patient, as we had many questions. He was not your typical pushy salesman, but rather he listened to our wants and desires and guided us through the pros and cons of the multitude of options that are available. He enlightened us on a number of topics that we didnt even know to ask about, as we are just beginning to investigate the RV lifestyle. It is exactly that type of customer service and attention that will most likely bring us back to Lance and Camping World when we make our purchase.
If I could give 0 stars I would. Brought my RV in there in April of 21 for a leaking slide. When I went to pick it up there was a crack in the sunroof so they ordered a new one and all new countertop. I brought it home and the awning arms ripped off of the track one day. It was under warranty so I brought it back up there. The arms breaking caused the fabric to rip from the side of the rv. It sat there from may - September without any work being done. I finally called enough that they replaced the countertop and the awning arms and told me it was ready to go. When I went to pick it up they fabric was still ripped from the wall and the sink was not attached to the countertop anymore. It was just laying on the ground. The sink countertop insert was also cut and swollen from water damage. I asked for the manager and showed them everything. They called in October to pick it up and the awning was still ripped off and the new countertop insert didn’t match the new countertop. When I finally went to pick it up January 3rd everything was done but the trailer plug to connect to my truck was cut off. They delivered it a week later. I honestly just want to get rid of the camper.
Although I didnt end up buying here, Diego did a fantastic job of showing potential travel trailers to me. He didnt push me to buy and he stayed within my price range rather than showing me something over my budget. I also appreciate the follow-up he did with me. I highly reccomend working with him at Camping World. I like their website too. Easy to filter for results you want.
Nothing is more frustrating than going to or calling a dealership and getting hounded or feeling like you have three salesman breathing down your neck. I did not buy anything at a Camping World but when trying to sell my toy hauler and get into a different rig, no one made the experience better than Lance. He genuinely cared about giving me the most money for my toy hauler and making sure the future camper met all my needs. It is experiences like this that will keep Camping World at the top of my list when looking for parts or campers.
The staff at Camping World were great to meet and work with, very helpful. I felt very comfortable talking with them, didn’t feel like I was being sold or scammed. The staff worked with us on anything we needed or asked for. Grant was our contact, so definitely ask for him when you go in.

Tod was very helpful. Camping World did not have the RV we were looking for in their inventory at the time we were there, but Tod took the time to walk us though a motor home that was all ready sold that was what we were looking for. Went to look at fifth wheels here and they seem to have some great prices. And they have a ton of used units that are very reasonably erased however we have not been able to find a Grand Design with this company. But our sales per person was very knowledgeable and very nice. He is also since then sent us some links to some more units they have received.
Walked in and was politely greeted at the door by Lance and he asked how he could help. We let him know what we were looking for and he listened to our wants and needs and found us the perfect 5th wheel. Was the easiest process ever. Would highly recommend Lance to anyone looking for a new rv.

Camping World of Alvarado was our 3rd stop. We are shopping for a travel trailer to park at a nearby lake. Some road travel as well... The two previous stops were not the most pleasant experience. One was obviously trying to push for a sale. The other was quite disorganized and had trouble locating their own inventory. Nothing of the sort at Camping World of Alvarado. Ernest was who we met after being cheerfully greeted at the front reception desk. Ernest listened to the details of what we were looking for, the price range we were going to stay within, the weight constraints we had, the interior details and appointments my wife wanted to have. Ernest made us feel welcomed, well cared for, showed us a multitude of trailers that fit our requirements and never once made us feel that we were being sold. We left with a couple of definite options in hand. Ernest understood our wanting to be sure before we made such a commitment. If we do purchase a travel trailer, it will absolutely be through Ernest and Camping World of Alvarado.
Worst experience. I asked the sales rep, are you like a lot of businesses that take your money and then ignore you? Nobody he says. Lied!!We have had many issues, called many times, they said they will take care of them, but you are never contacted again. We have to make all the calls, run around on our dime and time, and they still lie to you. Just one example. We bought a brand new 2022 M/H. They lost the spare key to our new Motorhome, said they would order a new one, waited 3weeks,called, they told us it should be in anytime now,nothing. We called again, said then we had to order it from Ford because it has a chip in and they need the original key. So, we had to do ALL the running around on our dime and time,go to Ford,order the key,pay $80.00, then when it came in, take our Motorhome in to Ford, get it keyed into the system, pay $60.00 and still, 4months later trying to get reimbursed and being lied to everytime we call. Thats just one of many examples to get the Sale from you and then bale on you..Will never buy from C/WORLD ever again.

I had a wonderful experience at this location. I was referred and guided through my entire experience by Lance and he got me all the information I would need and helped coordinate everything prior to making the 4 hour trip to have my AC unit put on my van. When I arrived the experience was very easy and they had my vehicle ready when they said they would. This experience would not have been successful without Lance!

We visited Camping World of Alvarado to trade in our current camper for an upgrade. With the help of our sales guy Grant Woods, we found our upgrade!!!! He showed us several different models based on what we were wanting and we eventually chose our camper! Robert ‘Tod’ Shelton was an amazing sales person!! He had a great personality and really knows how to treat a customer. He was very knowledgeable and didn’t hesitate even though we did a couple times. He stayed right with us through the shuffle. I am married to a salesman so I know the drill and he never once tried to over sell or make excuses. Dude was straight up. I would recommend him to anybody who needs a camper. Tod Shelton of Camping World in Alvarado was fantastic to work with! His patients was something very hard to find in a salesman. He understood when to back off and let us just look around and was always there to answer any questions we had. I would depend on him for my next camper for sure! I visited Camping World several months ago to look into purchasing an RV. I met Mike Wells that day and even told him, up front, that I was there to ask questions and wasn’t ready to make a purchase. I never shared this with Mike, but before I stoped in at Camping World I had visited 2 other locations and told both sales reps at those locations the same thing.I spent maybe 20-30 mins with those other guys and had their attention maybe 5 minutes as they answered their phones and carried on conversations with other people while I stood in the heat waiting for their attention again.“I SPENT ALMOST 2 HOURS” with Mike, looked at all kinds of makes and models, and asking him a 1000 questions! Not once did he ignore me and when his phone rang he kindly answered to let them know he was with me and would return the call. He explained so much to me about the differences of each model, what the purpose and functions of equipment were, and how to prevent costly damage from early ware and tear items.He never pressured me to purchase anything and then thanked me for considering camping world when I left.Over the next 2 months he didn’t blow my phone up nor flood my email with pressure. 3 months later I called him and said I’m ready to purchase, he remembered me and knew what I wanted.I had already made up my mind I was going to purchase from him, even if it cost me more than the other places.Today we purchased the perfect RV for “our” needs and I paid $1000’s less than comparable units at the other guys places. It was so easy and well planned out on his part.Thanks Mike for taking care of me and a great experience!
We contacted camping world with excatly the camper we were looking for. They contacted us immediately, and we made a same day appointment. Walked in and was immediately introduced to our sales rep Grant. He had the camper hooked up, with the AC on and ready to be seen comfortable in the Texas Heat. It had absolutely everything we wanted and more. He educated us on all the needs we needed. He was very knowledgeable. With in an hour paperwork was filled out. We bought from here 4 days ago. I highly recommend them. From the time we walked in we had a great experience. Our sales guy never pressured us and gave great guidance, always making sure we were taken care of. And it didn’t stop there. Grant was my salesman name he listened to me on how much I wanted to spend and didnt try to push me to buy something more expensive. He listened to me and showed me alot of nice new and used campers around my price range I chose one and he fixed it up exactly the way I told him I wanted it but went above and beyond my expectations with no hidden fees. I was very impressed by him a camping world I will buy all my campers from them from now on.
I went in to sale my travel trailer. I met with Grant Woods. He got me in for a quick inspection, then gave me a good offer for the travel trailer. I thought I was going to spend all day there, like you do at a car dealership. I was in and out in no time. It was a great experience.

Alvarado Camping World is the absolute worst!! I had to give it a star or I could not leave this warning. Run as far away from Alvarado camping world as you can. No one will call back, when you can actually get someone they are rude. Service Department are liars. Told me my RV was done and they never even touched it. I all the paperwork where they did all this work and it had not even been touched. They were pushing for me to take it off the lot. They blamed everyone else. I called about status after having it for 8 months and was told that if I did not like it, they could stop work and I could come pick it up. I could write pages of why you should never go there. You have been warned.
First time buying a travel trailer and was happy with the experience and service at Camping World of Alvarado. They had the trailer set up with AC on, ready to inspect when we arrived and showed us all the basics of how everything was operated. They also had filled all the tanks with water to ensure there were no leaks and that the tank level indicators were working correctly.
Ask for Grant Woods, he is the kind of person that listens, shows you what you want to see, and is like visiting a friend who knows a lot about RV living. We were in a bit of a bind post Texas Snowstorm damage, and ended up buying a Crusader 2021 while house is being repaired for 6 months. Grant is not pushy, he read our angst and emotions well, our buying styles (married couple), and was straight forward with us. He did not take advantage of us, facilitated a great deal with Danny, GM, and we left very happy. Listen, an RV is an area I had no experience with, but because of this dealership and Grant, we are Happy Campers! Ladies, these make great She Sheds that you and life partner can take on the road, and know the comfort of a home is there! These are better than most high end Airbnb and hotels, and are cost-effective. It is worth your drive, and you will be blown away by how beautiful these are, walk in shower, king sized bed, large TV over electric fireplace, stainless steel sink with chopping block island and storage space sold me. Airy and fresh, and large refrigerator, range, microwave and outdoor grill area. Stop throwing money away on high hotel rooms that you dont really know were cleaned properly! Loving the RV Life! I stopped into Camping World of Alvarado looking for a new trailer and Taylor was the salesman that helped me. He asked what I was looking for then took me around the lot to look at 5 different trailers that all had the things I was looking for. I was very impressed with how well he knew the inventory. Unfortunately I was undecided about purchasing right then. I continued looking other places even as far as Round Rock. When I finally found a trailer that met my needs in the price range I needed I decided to call Taylor back to see if Camping World of Alvarado also had the trailer. He told me that they had one unit left of that model. At the time I was in Round Rock but wanted to purchase closer to home. I told Taylor that I wanted the unit and even though it was his day off he checked to make sure there wasn’t anything pending on the unit and waited for me to drive back to Alvarado. My husband and I are currently looking for a travel trailer and after going to a big dealer down the street from camping world and waiting 45 minutes for no one to talk to us we decided to leave and headed down to camping world. It was almost time to close but we were greeted by Grant Woods and he proceeded show us several trailers never making us feel rushed or anything. Excited Excited Excited!!!!What can I possibly say about Lance… You have to go see him he’s an honest tell it like it is gentleman!Lance greeted me with open arms the moment I stepped foot in the door with an ice cold bottle of water; it was a 100 degrees that day. He made me feel like we had been friends for years. As a woman I want to say Lance treated me with the up most respect; I never felt as tho I was being treated any different if I had been a man that was sitting in front of him. We sat in his office he simply asked what we were looking for in a camper the style, price, set up, etc and like Magic… Lance pulled what he had in stock and away we went! We took a joy ride in a 🛺 cart to find our dream home on the lot….We looked at several 5th wheels, finally a 2019 version of what I loved. We went back to his computer pulled up 2022 vs and within the hour Lance had the camper on its way to Alvarado! It was so simple, stress free and exciting!Lance has been in contact with me daily in response to various questions myself or my husband has had about our 5th wheel! We bought a brand new Mallard M27 from this dealership in January 2021. Due to the immediate bad weather, we didnt take it out for its maiden voyage until April. It remained in our barn under shelter, still winterized.Its had one thing after another go wrong with it from the first trip out. The hot water heater didnt work. The refrigerator had to be replaced - and still wont run reliably on LP. Plumbing leaks, bad valves - the list goes on.Today we picked it up after a 6 weeks stay to find almost nothing had been fixed. To top it off the battery was completely dead, and were expecting to find the LP tanks empty.Mallard and Camping World service department leave us very unimpressed.

Camping World of Alvarado service department has been a nightmare to work with in my experience. The Google reviews were very deceiving and I was convinced that I would have a good experience. Boy, was I wrong! The biggest issue is communication. They have 3 departments within the same building that refuses to work together when it comes to customer service. They have never given me copies of invoices for the work done. They go back on their word as far as what they promised to fix at the point of se. They charge you for services, and then call you and tell you that they forgot to charge taxes and need more money. They say its ready when it really isnt. They even pulled up the wrong RV when I came to do the first walk through!! I now cannot get anyone to return my phone call after weeks of trying. I can go on and on!!

Sent our camper there to get the hot water heater replaced. They had it for three weeks and never called us so we called them and they said yeah it’s been ready. Came and picked it up and waited almost an hour for them to even pull it out front for us. Paid about $1,000 only to find out no work had actually been done. Giving a 2nd star because the CSR was very nice about it and the mobile unit came out and fixed it for us.
Robert Godley was very helpful when looking at campers!! He led us to the perfect one! He was like talking to a friend and was never pushy! He gave us time to look and talk about it. We are very satisfied with his customer service!!
I previously left a 5 star review after purchasing our rv. However we have now dealt with the service department and I would leave 0 stars if I could. I don’t have the time to explain how terrible the service department was. Go elsewhere or lose thousands of dollars.
We met with Ernesto Ynguanzo today at Camping World in Alvarado to look at a few campers. He was very informative and knowledgeable about all the campers. It was hot outside and he stayed right with us answering all our questions. He made our experience fun and we will definitely look him up when we are ready.
Just had a fantastic experience with Robert G. As a novice and not knowing much about RVs he took the time to show us different models, features, and the pros and cons of what direction we may want to go. It was a pleasure to get the education from him with no pressure or high sales tactics Would definitely recommend anyone to come talk to him!

My wife and I went down on a Saturday just to look and compare several models.They have a large selection and variety of new and used trailers and RV’s.All I can say is by luck of the draw, or divine intervention we got Robert “Tod” SheltonOne of the nicest, most helpful people I’ve ever had the pleasure of meeting. Not high pressure sales at all, down to earth, pleasant to talk to.We actually ended up finding a unit that was not what we started looking at, and loved the layout and design. Tod got us the price we were comfortable with, and answered all our concerns.He is an asset to camping world, and I am sure they appreciate him.If you are contemplating buying, or just looking, I highly recommend you get down to see him.

The worst experience I have had with the service department. We bought the camper used and they told us they did a test on it made sure everything was working, we trust them and were happy to take it home when we went camping we come to find out the fridge is not working. So we took it in to be repaired we have had the camper in service for 3months now it took them that long to start on it and is still in there now waiting for a part to come in sometime in middle of September so we might get our camper back in October!
I received phenomenal customer service from Mike Wells the salesperson at Camping World of Alvarado. From start to finish he made sure I had all my questions answered, very patient and very knowledgeable of the models. Overall this was a great experience
Glenn was our salesman and he really had researched all details of the trailer we finally decided to buy. He never tried to sell us anything that would not be safe for us to haul. He paid attention to what we wanted and we were given many to choose from. It is always hard to make a big purchase, but he beat any deal around and made the transactions easy.

2022-03-11Our sales person Jason went above and beyond during the whole process. He bought us lunch, and even bought us a hitch lock with his own money. He was very informative and non-pressuring during the process.**** I definitely recommend asking to speak with Jason for your salesman.****The staff at this location overall is very welcoming and a pleasure to deal with. So far, my only staff frustrations have been with the service department at this location.We will be buying another RV sometime this year, and will definitely be using Jason as our sales person again.

2022-04-15Took my RV here after losing a wheel. Wheel caused damage to the undercarriage and metal skirt. Craftsmanship is extremely poor. Missing multiple support brackets, electrical wiring zip tie to a screw, and the fender flare doesnt even match. You can see where they took a single piece fender flare and chopped it with the saw. Its not even straight and doesnt line up. Caulking around the fuel filler, toolbox, and water neck all coming undone already. Insulation on the undercarriage kind of cheesy also.They also charged me for a wheel and tire for a place to one that is missing/damaged. Never got that. They are going to order a wheel, but it wont be matching. So I still have to find a new one on ebay.Shop charged approximately 4,300 for that. Insurance covered it for me, but was still out several months with no RV and Im going to have to fix a bunch of that to make it look better before I can sell it someday. Not very pleased.They also completely killed my batteries.

I gave him a hard time and he was a good sport. Thanks again!I also cant forget Raymond who didnt our walk through. Excellent job! Was very patient with us as first time owners who had lots of questions. Made several recommendations on things that we needed and even took the time out to show us where they were located in the store.Well definitely be back for service and our retirement rig!

He was very knowledgeable, respectful, pleasant to do business with. We will certainly recommend him and camping world. We would not hesitate to do business with him again. 2022-04-02First time RV buyers so we werent sure what to expect. Luckily Jason took care of us and was a huge help. Once we got our unit picked out he made things easy for us and took the time to explain everything both good and bad. He made sure we understood everything about our purchase before moving forward. Jason is such a likable guy which made the process much easier. Very happy with Jason and his Camping World family so far.

2022-02-23We brought our Grand Design Reflection to Camping World for a yearly checkup. The RV Company we used last year did not do what we ask them to do, so we decided to go to Camping World in Alvarado.This checkup cost us $1,000 which we agreed to. When Camping World Service Techs checked under the RV, we were told that the Rear Axle was bent and needed to be replaced because we had run over curbs or something else. Also, we were told the Camber needed to be tightened along with replacing leaf springs. A couple days later we were told both Axles needed to be replaced, and because the Cambers were loose, the tires were worn to the point that they needed to be replaced. The Axle costs would be $1014 per Axles and $52 for Freight. Also, we would need to replace the Equal Flex at $387.94 times 2. At this we decided to stop and not authorize any of this work!We decided to take our RV to another service center. That said, they were able to check the Axles (no problems) and the Axles were squared and were of same measurement.We have lost all confidence in Camp World Service Center and will not use or refer them in the future.John Drake

2022-04-08Robert G. did great on our walk through of our new camper in terms of functional and operational details of the camper but also tips and tricks information on camping with a trailer that we would have thought of. The tips and tricks info will definitely make a huge difference in our experience which was an unexpected and valuable extra!Diego R. was a nice break from high pressure sales. He was very easy and comfortable to work with. He actually listened carefully to our wants and limitations while also pointing out items we would never had thought or which would have greatly effected meeting our needs.
