I was very pleased with the customer service I received by Bruce at the Denton location. I got a new window tint completed on my car, and I had tons of questions before the process began and Bruce was very knowledgeable and professional. I am extremely impressed with the way the tint turned out as well. Highly recommend!
OMG Best service ever. They took time to find the perfect radio combination for my RV. The installer went beyond to get the new unit in correctly. The installer took time to make sure I knew how to use my new radio. It was truly a blessing to find a place that really cares.

I was recommended to go to car toys in Denton Texas to install a stereo system in my boat.The head installer Jared assured me that he would do a good job and would install exactly what I wanted. When I went back to pick up my boat after the install was complete I was extremely impressed and Jared did a fantastic job on my audio system in my boat. Very pleased ,!!!🤗
They did not tighten my positive battery terminal when they were finished . It slipped off on my way home and truck would not start next morning. I had to tighten it myself making me late for work. Overall the system sounds great but the manager was not clear on his time frame for the install.
I took my car in to get Apple Car Play, unlucky for me my car decided to be super difficult during the entire process. Everyone at Car Toys was super helpful and did everything they could to get Car Play installed for me, especially Dylan and Jay. It’s now been fully installed and I love it. I will definitely come back if I want any more upgrades or to get a detail!
I DEFINITELY do Not recommend Car Toys in ANY TOWN. You would think as big as they are, they would be the ELITE of car audio, because their prices sure are!! From being in the business for over 25 yrs I am very familiar with this type of business. 17 yrs ago I had a HORRIBLE experience with a complet install that did in my truck. Swore Id never go back.....i should have listen to myself. I gave them another chance, and was unsatisfied AGAIN. So unless you like throwing $$$ out the window, find a mom and pop store where they APPRECIATE your business and the value of your HARD EARNED MONEY.
These guys are AWESOME! They are professional, kind & respectful. I needed to set up my new phone on my car - TMobile was no help & CarToys got in my car & took 25 minutes to help me set it up.Cant say enough great things about this shop. They are always there to help you!
I have taken trucks and boats to these guys and every time they have done awesome work! They do what they can to save you money where they can and more times than not they finish the work earlier than expected! I went in to have my dash cam hard-wired. After an initial consultation in which I was greeted by multiple folks, I was given the price for the work and set up an appointment on the spot.I went in to have the work done and I was in and out in less than an hour. The work that was done was explained and showed to me and works just as it did before without the clutter of wires and use of my cig lighter which I use for an additional usb port for charging.Thanks again for the professional work and showing me your additional product capabilities.Chris
I stopped by CarToys in Denton in hopes they could take a look at my radio. I had purchased a radio a couple years prior at another car audio company and the radio was never right. The guys here at CarToys tried to first fix the radio, and when they couldn’t do so, set me up with a great replacement at a very affordable price. Will definitely go back and see these guys again for my next upgrade!
This was one of the best experience with an equipment instalation on a vehicle - EVER !The place is staffed with professionals, and super technical experts. Customer service is out of this world. I am still in awe.I would recomend this place to anyone that needs good workmanship, and great attitude.Me, I am a customer for ever....they won my busines.
Great Service! Bruce, our salesman, was awesome! Very knowledgeable and took time to program our stereo and give a demo after install. Walked us through step by step on how our speakers work and the installation process. Cole, the shop manager, was equally as awesome. Built a fully custom sub box and installed in my truck. Perfect fit and blend with current colors and stereo. Sounds great! Did a fantastic job on factory decal removal and full detail. Will never go anywhere else! Highly recommended!! Go see them on the loop in Denton for all mobile needs!! 5 star!!!Second purchase was excellent again. Same system as before put in another vehicle. Did Ceramic tint on windshield and wired in illuminated door sills. Perfect job. Will continue to go to Car Toys for everything! Highly recommend this location! Excellent people and service!
Was greeted professionally upon entering store. Described my somewhat unusual issues and was quickly given solutions.By unusual I mean that I had started some electrical upgrades on my 20 Jeep Gladiator - front bumper fog lights and a rear cargo light mounted to the overland rack. The main issue was to tie them into the stock auxiliary switches.Trey was quite helpful and knowledgeable as he told me a ballpark price and about how long it would take to fix.Done on time and on budget. Although its only been a few days since the job was completed everything is working well.Im very grateful to Trey and the gang for being there!!Ill be back...
The guys at Car Toys were very helpful. We needed part to connect an amp to my grandsons car. They guy told us to bring the car up there and he could tell us which one we needed. He knew with a glance and made sure we understood how to hook it up. Always had a good experience at Car Toys in Denton Texas.
Sales person (Ace) very helpful with matching my needs to the right equipment. Knew exactly what additional components were needed and got them on order. Also hooked me up with tint services which I took advantage of. After install, walked me through all options and how to use. Recommend him highly.Installer was equally helpful and did a great job. Everything looks transparent other than the fact it’s a 2021 radio in a 2001 car but it matters not. It still looks great and works exactly as advertised. I’m so sorry my memory is so bad that I couldn’t remember his name but I hope he recognizes this feedback for a silverish 2001 corvette. He also helped me with info about another products not associated with my new audiomsystem to include the new top I was about to have installed. Thank you.
This shop was absolutely amazing, All the gentleman that work here are very helpful. I got my stereo, and new speakers put in and they also fixed my headliner while I was there. I couldn’t be happier! Installation was quick, prices are amazing. My favorite shop! Thanks guys sooo much.
I was looking to have a new alarm system installed on my truck. Car Toys did a great job. The customer service was friendly and knowledgeable. The installation gentleman explained the entire process and had everything installed properly and on time. I highly recommend this Car Toys facility.

We had a dash cam installed almost 5 years ago and needed it re-installed in a new car. Service was great the first time, so I wanted to give them my business again. They also installed a 2nd dash cam in another car of ours and was very satisfied with their work on both vehicles. The employees at this store were outstanding in every way!
Did a great job! Went in for speakers, got what i wanted and set up a installation date. While they where getting installed, i contemplated a radio upgrade. Picked up my truck and bought the radio and a sub, will be installed soon. Good,friendly and knowledgeable people. I recommend
I had a security system with keyless entry installed. The work was done with very professional installation and very fast as well. They managed to guide me to a better system since the cost was the about the same as the one I had selected and the installation required less wire splicing.As a retired certified auto mechanic I can really appreciate when todays workers do an outstanding and professional job especially on a modern vehicle installation. I would recommend this car toys in Denton Texas related to my recent experience. I hope your experience is as good as mine since I am a pretty critical reviewer.
Bruce and Alec are AMAZING. I had a Groupon that I was going to use at the Frisco location, but the employees were angry elves. I decided to drive a bit further and try the Denton location, and I’m so glad I did! I spoke to Bruce yesterday and explained the situation at Frisco and he was able to schedule me immediately for the next day. I was great by amazing staff with big smiles and great senses of humor. Alec did my interior clean and did a fantastic job! I have two dogs and regularly nanny kids (so you can imagine the messes) and he cleaned my car up so well. I will absolutely be coming back to this location again (and definitely NOT anywhere else). 10/10 service, 10/10 personalities, and 10/10 professionalism.
The Car Toys team provided me with a pleasant experience today. The initial contact was made by phone. Bruce answered all my questions professionally and pleasantly. Upon arriving to their location Bruce continued to assist me. He introduced me to Kohl and Dalton who were also awesome! Ashley was friendly and made me feel welcomed. This review is for Dillon (store manage) and Ryan Conroe (who installed Car Play in both our vehicles). These two guys are the absolute B E S T!Dillon was very communicative with us throughout the entire process. Not only is he super communicative, but extremely knowledgeable about the products. From what I can see, Dillon is willing to do whatever it takes to do what is RIGHT and satisfy his customer.Now….Ryan! What a great guy!!! As I said, he installed our new radios and Car Play, plus he spent over 2 hours (maybe closer to 3) on showing us the specifics on using our new products. He stuck with us as one of our vehicles would not “cooperate” and connect properly. Ryan (and Jeff’s) persistence and perseverance finally led us to discovering why connection wasn’t taking place. Once they figured it out, it worked like a charm.We are very happy with our new Car Toys!
If I could rate them more than 5 stars I would! From the first interaction I had with them on the phone I knew it would be a great experience. When I told them what my issue was, instead of them giving me an outrageous price, they told me to bring my slingshot by so they could look at it and if it was a quick fix they would take care of it! Who does that??? When I got to the shop, Big John Stephens was nothing but professional and upfront. He made me feel comfortable leaving my slingshot there and not expecting an enormous bill. Dalton is the best slingshot tech ever! I told him what my issue was and he fixed it, and some other stuff I didn’t even know about! Even showed me some things as well. They were fair about pricing and went above and beyond to get me squared away. John and Dalton have earned a customer for life! Slingshot owners, if you have any issues, take to the CarToys located on 288 in Denton and ask for Big John or Dalton, you won’t be disappointed!
I would recommend them to anyone. Jared had to do custom work on my Peterbilt 379. I told him what I was kind of wanting and let me tell you he exceeded my expectations by a mile. His work is absolutely top notch and prices are good. He got it done faster than I anticipated to. All in all he did a fantastic job!!!
We had a Christmas install mishap with our personal installation/of an incorrect adaptor-wiring. Took it in, Dylan helped us out. He gave me what options were to start and chances of getting it corrected. He delivered 100% not the 80% chance he gave me. He got items working that he wasn’t sure he could, and wired in the extra USB ports for us. His work was timely for my last minute request and he finished the install of my newly started system. Everyone from check in to check out was friendly. I overheard some other patrons and the assistance they received was knowledgeable and prompt! We will be going back, instead of attempting things on our own. Thank you Car Toys Denton for helping us.
Great experience with the team there. Was looking for a remote start, Tint and Alarm for my 2019 Nissan Titan. Bruce was great at explaining the options and helped break down the entry level solution to the most advance option. Of course I went with the advance configuration. He also helped me with scheduling the time to have the work completed.Thanks also for Kyle checking me on during the appointment. Kudos to Tony for the Window Tint ... Of Course a shout out to Jared, who did the work for the remote start and alarm... Pretty nice job ... Happy with it.I know if I have any questions, the team there will be happy to answer my questions if I call.Will be back for other options for other vehicles ...
These guys are amazing, superior products and installation. They will continue to be the only car audio store I will trust my vehicle with. Dillon and his crew have been the best Ive dealt with in the two decades Ive been coming to this location. I cant say enough about how greatly I was treated and helped out by this staff. I will continue to give them my business hands down and I suggest if you need some audio work that you do the same.
I came in needing a diagnostic test for my car. Without even looking at it, they said it was the speakers and I need new ones. They tried to sell me speakers, turned out to be something different when I took it to my dealership. Essentially, theyre just in it for sales. The front desk lady was very nice though.
I walked into the store this morning with cash ready to buy an entire system. Subwoofers, amp, double din radio, maybe even remote start depending on the install time. Upon entry there were two people behind the counter. One lady who was finishing up helping a customer and then another gentleman on the phone. This gentleman said later while I was there that his name was “John“, but I don’t believe his name is actually John so I’ll describe him. He was a tall white gentleman about 6’2” and about 300 pounds. When I walked in John told someone on the phone “OK, let me help this next one.“ However John never actually called me to the counter to help me. Instead, he waited at the computer while the lady who had a customer helped me. I asked my questions and the young lady started to direct me the best she could but she didn’t seem to know much about anything. John intervened to make some suggestions in a very rude and condescending tone towards the lady coworker. I was immediately thrown off by that alone but I continued to shop. Later John would leave from behind the counter to point out a box that the lady had missed by whistling at her and pointing down at the box he was standing in front of, again in a very condescending way. At this point I felt bad because I knew I wasn’t going to spend my money here all because of “John”, and the lady who was clearly frustrated started to show it in her service towards me. As I was asking my final questions at the counter another gentleman walked in. It would seem this new customer was having his car serviced somehow but also had questions about other options. He asked John who had called him the wrong name and had the wrong information drawn up for him. The two of them went into a back-and-forth argument out loud in front of everyone in the store. I thought the customer was slightly rude and frustrated, however John‘s responses to him were also very rude, condescending, and unprofessional. I still want my speakers, subs, and double din but have a really hard time with going back to the store to get them.
I took my old 2000 Saturn with the worst tent that was falling off I couldn’t even see out the rear window and Tony from car toys did amazing it looks so good I’m very impressed with the work he did. Also the customer service was a A+ super, nice, friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommend.
We walked in not knowing the type of service and quality we would received and we walked out as customers for life. If you are in the area and would like a starter, mid or high level system, hit up Bruce at Car Toys Denton. The guy knows his stuff well, actually listens and consults, rather than jus shove product down your throat. If you are taking your kid for an upgraded system, Bruce is the guy to see. He understand verbal and non verbal cues well and is knowledgeable, extremely service oriented, and easy to work with. The installation went off without a hitch on both our vehicles and they delivered ahead of promised times. Really recommend Bruce and the rest of the Denton crew for any car audio needs!
I purchased a system, but on the day of install found another stereo I liked better. The guys swapped my order out with no hassle and my truck was ready quicker than they estimated. I had to go back the next day so they could adjust something minor and had no hassle whatsoever. They may be a little pricey, but its well worth it!
My husband went into this Car Toys to purchase a remote start system for my F150. Mark helped him out and was very knowledgeable on their products. We dropped off the truck to have it installed and Ryan did a fantastic job! We would recommend this location to our friends and family. Great job team Car Toys!!!
I wanted my installation to look professionally done & not like it had been into someones backyard auto accessory install garage. I Went to Car Toys because of the professionalism & quality of the Installation. Michael, Dalton & Austin took great care of my car as if it was their own. The installation went seamlessly & without any issues. In & out of the shop in about 3 hours & looks like a factory install. Thanks for all of the great & professional work guys.
I recently had a deck and amp installed in my fiances 2014 Chevy Captiva. The installation was flawless. The installation technician Ryan did a fantastic job. Everything is nice and clean and orderly. He even rewired my subs as I had them wired to less efficiency. His excitement and enthusiasm for our install made the whole process so much more personal. It was like a good friend excited about helping me install a cool new toy. Ryan is a true professional and its obvious he loves what he does. I recommend Denton Cartoys for all your audio needs. They have earned a customer for life.
The guys I worked with were very knowledgeable and were willing to answer all of my questions. When it came to installing the stereo I purchased they did a great job and actually finished the install more quickly than I had anticipated. I would certainly buy from this store again in the future.
My experience wasnt to great with the sales staff. I had to reschedule my appointment twice because it was never written down. They seemed to be pretty flustered up front, maybe a new staff being trained at the time?Once the vehicle was in the shop I had a great experience, the technician was very informative and communication was great between him and I.Overall about a 4 out of 10 experience
My dad bought me a system for my 2013 Camaro, and OMG it sounds fantastic. We dealt with Bruce who was the sales guy. He was very knowledgeable and understood everything that was being asked of him. Jeff did the install and I am so happy with the work he did. I highly recommended not only this store for your audio installation needS but also these 2 guys. Thank you again Jeff and Bruce for the amazing Christmas present.
Not cut tabs off the install kit. These tabs were cut off for some reason and the dash kit is loose. Not happy.Ensure the name is correct for the person youre emailing. Received multiple emails for someone named Marcus and as you can see, my name isnt Marcus.Double check all wires are fully and securely connected. Thought a tweeter was blown only a couple weeks after getting the system installed. After pulling my passenger kick panel, saw the wire was disconnected. Fixed the issue myself and didnt have to wait for the installer.
I won’t lie, I’m a pretty tough customer. I can be hard to please but Jared S. and the crew knocked it out if the park. I couldn’t be happier with the sound on my truck. Well, I could but it’s a matter of purchasing another sub so that’s on me. Workmanship was outstanding and customer service was outstanding. Thanks Jared.
Went into the Cartoys in Denton and let me say they have earned my business for life. Had another shop try and install my radio and they wound up cutting the entire harness out of the car. Went and spoke with Bruce, Ryan, and Marcc, and they went above beyond. They gave me the best customer service I have experienced in a while! If you need anything related to car audio you have to go in and ask for them! Thanks again guys for getting sound back into my ride!
I had an amazing experience at this location. I came in for a new sound system and Austin did not disappoint. He was patient and thorough in helping me understand my options. He helped me make the best choice for my vehicle and lifestyle. I was also looking for some neon interior lights to create a more romantic environment for my Lyft riders. Hopefully the ambience is better now. Will report back after a few Halloween rides.

I would like to do something i never do, and that is write a review for Pete and Austin at Car Toys of Denton. I had met Pete on an earlier visit when I came in and Austin the next visit to confirm my appointment. i was looking for Pete and after meeting Austin i was even more convinced i had come to the right place. Came to Cartoys for their reputation. I was not disappointed. Bruce did an excellent job of detailing a solution to installing a cd player in my car (crazy no one puts these in cars anymore!). He explained the equipment theyd be using, how it would work and the cost. Jared (the technician) jumped on it the next day and had the install completed in record time. The installation looked great and worked just as promised. I am highly satisfied with everything about my experience. I would highly recommend Bruce and Jared at Cartoys - Denton....Gary
Sarah and her technicians are the best in the world love um. Now since her and her other staff have left counter techs talk real good but now Ive had to go back 4 times in 1 week with multiple issues 1 amp problem 2nd after amp the head unit i bought from them and had installed went out after they installed another amp with in 30 seconds of leaving store,,my personal amp 3 door speakers for front passenger side stopped working fixed it twice. I let them talk me into another head unit and same door speaker stopped working took back up there again told me today that I wont have anymore problems with that speaker. After getting that one going my driver side rear speaker stopped working now their saying its my amp again I will not go back to that store again ever.
Austin was great about getting my Jeep in and getting me set up with exactly what I needed. Jeff was outstanding, getting my Jeep in the shop quickly, fixing my LED lighting issues and installing everything quickly and professionally. These guys do outstanding work. Go see them for all your vehicle audio and lighting needs!
We took my husbands car in to get his speakers in his trunk switched out. After picking up the car, on the way home, his stereo quit working. He took it back & was met with a shrug when he told them that the stereo isnt working. He was told yeah I knew that would happen. The speakers are too much for your amp you need a new amp Why were we not told this information during the 30 minutes we spent with the installer & salesman? While we were discussing our options if the installer knew the speakers we wanted would blow the amp why wouldnt he tell us that. We went from a perfectly good stereo, just wanted more room in the trunk, to a stereo that you can now only turn up to level 16 before the whole stereo system shuts off. We will never return to this location.
Bruce is very helpful and knowledgable. He took the time to show me multiple speaker options for my car. His dedication to customer service was second to none. I was very happy with my experience overall. I strongly recommend this location as well as Bruces expertise.
All the personnel at the Car Toys on Loop 288 in Denton Texas were very polite and helpful to me. The waiting room was quiet and clean. The product was very reasonably price and it works well. The service was quick and thorough. I would definitely recommend this store to my friends and family.
This place is the best.I walked in having ZERO knowledge of what speakers I wanted for my car.I had a budget and I shared what it was.I was planning on just getting speakers and installing then my Dad, but Bruce told me the pros and cons and was extremely honest with me.He wasnt trying to take advantage of my age or the fact I didnt know much.He respected my budget and even gave me a discount so I could get the warranty.The speakers sound perfect.Clear and Crisp and exactly what I wanted.For a pair of really nice speakers it was only $79 which is so incredibly reasonable.Bruce Pace is one of the kindest people I have ever met in the Customer Service/Sales industry.Highly recommend this place.If you go, ask for Bruce.You cant get anyone better.
Went there for a 269.00 radio advertisement said FEE installation the brake down showed the radio was 169.99 but mis charge of 175.00 and 150. And 75.00 thats more that radio sorry but your about to not have this you will uninstall it and refund.. be ware this place will take you to the cleaners.
I had only a couple of complaints, first my scheduling was screwed up. I was supposed to be first in line at 10 am and come to find out my installation wasnt started on until 2pm, I was not notified of this at all and it screwed up my plans for the day. The second is after installation it would be nice for my car to be wiped down of hand prints along the exterior of the car, not a detail but just a quick wipe down so the oils from the installers skin are gone. I also would have expected something a little better looking for the connection to the battery, other than that it was a pretty clean install.
Austin and Kyle were very helpful with upgrading my 2004 Highlander! Austin walked me through all of the different cameras and stereos to find the one that best suited my needs. Kyle was instrumental in getting my car taken care of and definitely managed my expectations when it came to how long itll take. I commend all these guys for the team atmosphere they provide and knowledge about their products! If I need anything else I will definitely be back!
Never written a review before but Car Toys Denton definitely deserves one in my opinion. Austin is a great salesman’s who can easily help you find what you need, K seriously knows his stuff and is great at installation, and Bruce’s customer service shows why he’s a manger. Brought 2 separate trucks here for work and will return for future business. Highly recommend!
The install was done quickly and efficiently. However I was charged for an extension Des warranty that I was not told of nor did I request it.This isn’t the only time they have pulled a fast one in a customer. They have switched models ordered and added items you do not need. I will not use them again. I reached out to the store manager and I have not received a return phone call to clear the situation.
I went here after Best Buy to see how much a new system would cost me. I had recently had my car totaled and got a 2015 Honda Civic. I had a decent system in my old car, but it was ruined in the accident. I arrived and was greeted immediately by a staff member. (If you go ask for BRUCE or KYLE! They are awesome and extremely knowledgeable!!!) Bruce, the assistant manager who helped me, led me around and showed me different set ups that were possible within my price range. He gave me a choice above and under that range as well to show me what I was paying for. I later financed tweeters, mids, subs, radio, and an amp through them. They were quick, efficient, and helped me out price wise when I might have made a compromise that could weaken the system as a whole. I got my car after dropping it off for a day and immediately started driving around blasting it loud and proud. I had made it maybe 2 miles down the street when my subs went out. I called them and went back. They fixed it (even though they were closing in two minutes) and didn’t hassle me. They thanked me for my business and sent me on my way blasting music in bliss. I will definitely be back after I get some rims for some lighting features!
Austin in the Denton TX location assisted me on replacing a blown speaker in my boat. His patience and attention to detail by requiring all customers to wear masks coming in the door and directing customers in line was handled with the utmost professionalism. He was able to do this while answering all my questions, service reps, and customers in store. His customer service was exceptional and is a great credit to himself and Cartoys organization.
Car Toys Denton did a great job installing new speakers in my Sea Ray 240 Sundeck! Ryan was extremely helpful and did not hesitate to answer my couple phone calls during the install process. Ryan kept a great attitude and professionalism when the install took more work than originally thought. If I ever need more installs or help I will be sure to come to Car Toys Denton and ask for Ryan!
Highly recommended Car Toys in Denton. We went to get a sound system in our truck and they ran into some problems which then put our truck down. Bruce, store manager, made sure to let us know that they would figure out what went wrong and they took it to GMC Dealership to diagnose problem. He also assured us if it was there doing they would 100% take full responsibility. He was in contact with us every step of the way even on his days off. Problem was solved and fixed which was not Car Toys fault. We were given a full diagnosis and picture of problem to give to our mechanic so we could be fully refunded. Our truck sounds great! Thank you Car Toys, especially Bruce!
I went into Car Toys during the memorial day sales they had going on, just to look at some options for replacing my factory sub that came in my 2016 Jeep Renegade.I was greeted by Lane who was very professional and inquired about what I was looking for. I told him what I was aiming for and he promptly showed me options, answered all of my questions and priced out what it would take to do the job right.I agreed and my car went in for installation.Afterwards they let me have a listen and the quality of sound and products were excellent I was super happy about my purchase. The installation was done very well and professional. Afterwards I inspected my vehicle and it was returned to me clean and the installation was executed properly (no missing screws etc.).The team at this car toys are awesome and I would easily recommend anyone to this location for their car electronic needs!
Was told by previous manager after having to take long trip to his store just to get a part for my radio and was told it was there when it wasnt. Then the previous manager told me installation would be free and I had to wait a bit long( after already waiting like 3 months) turns out that manager left the company before I got the part and installation. Lucky the new manager told me he would honor the free installation.
What a GREAT TEAM that works at the Denton location!I got a great stereo system at a great price. John worked hard for me to get exactly what I wanted, and when it came to installation Ryan went above and beyond! It took longer than expected and two other Techs pitched in to help get it done.I would highly recommend Car Toys of Denton to anyone that wants a great experience upgrading their vehicle.
I recently went into Car Toys in Denton to find a way to keep my kids entertained during our upcoming road trip. I walked in and was immediately greeted by both guys at the front counter. They were both helping customers but took the time to welcome me and told me they would be with me ASAP. Kyle (the Store Mgr) helped me out and showed me all of my options for my vehicle. I decided to get an overhead DVD screen and he even took a unit out to my vehicle so I could see what it would look like when they were finished with my installation. I am so SO happy with how everything turned out, from my car, to the product & most of all the fantastic customer service from Kyle and my technician Jon.Service like I had at Car Toys is extremely rare and hopefully more people will get to experience their service and support.Youre crazy if you dont stop in and give these guys a shot to help you out!
Got new speakers and a subwoofer here this week and recieved exceptional customer service. The guys I dealt with, Lane and Ryan, both went above and beyond to make sure I got the right setup for my car and budget. Thanks to their hard work, communication and all around good customer service, I feel good about my purchase and would return again. Also, the system sounds great!
I walked into the Denton Car Toys and was greeted by Nick who was so respectful after my telling him I was there to get a stereo for my husbands truck for Fathers Day and had no idea what I was looking for. Nick gave me a run down of options in terms I could understand, and then helped me pick the best option for our budget. I walked out with a quote that day and then called back to schedule the install a couple days later and Nick happened to answer the phone and recognized my voice and my story and was able to schedule us same day!When my husband and I showed up for the installation appointment, the assistant manager Bruce greeted us so politely, got us in touch with Dustin, the installer, who did a FABULOUS service job! When we picked up the truck, Bruce did a demo with my husband and even included our super excited boys in the process.The guys at this Car Toys location went above and beyond our expectations and we would recommend them to anyone, anytime!!
I took my truck there to have them look at what I had going on. They quoted me $64 just to hook up what was already installed, and the only thing they did was plug the oower back in. And then doubled the charge and kept my truck for 4 days. And the next day the power came unplugged again because they just stuffed the wire (not a solid wire) in the amp and snugged it down. I bought a connector at Auto Zone and did it myself. They really treated me in an unprofessional way. Not cool guys.
I purchased speakers and an android play radio. They stayed after close to finish the job. When my phone wasnt connecting they went out of their way to problem solve even going as far as calling Google and Samsung to get it fixed. Two hours after they closed they were still working on it and got it to work. They didnt want to let me leave without it being 100% operational. I appreciate their hard work and dedication. They could have easily asked me to come back later but they didnt. This was my first Car Toys purchase and I will keep coming back because of the service. Thanks Bruce and the guys.
Ive never had a good experience having a sound system installed in a car, whether it be at a big name company or a little known store. So I wont comment on that. But I will say, after my car came back the door panels were loose and missing many plastic clips, the sound dampener above the pedals was also just set in place with all screws missing. I realized this while driving down the highway when it fell off and got tangled in my feet. My HVAC blend door was damaged on the driver side, near the wiring. So no heat or AC on that side. But the quality of the products, specifically the Quinn speakers, is quite good. The subs I purchased - not so much. One completely tore apart in three days, and it took them three weeks to replace. Then the amp burned out six months later. I had it replaced under warranty, but they said they wouldnt turn the amp up any higher than 10% power. And if I did they wouldnt replace it again.The subs were matched to the amp by the car toys staff themselves before purchase, so I dont see why. Its not like they were being over powered.
This is the best place and awesome workers. We went in to buy a stereo and had great service. After we left and went home I noticed I lost a earing went back up there and one of the workers turned it in. The thing is these were giving to me by someone special and it meant the world to me when he gave them back and I got emotional. They were so nice I wish I remembered their names. Thank u a million times. Please go here u will not be disappointed.
It seems that the installation work was rushed. Things were not checked out before releasing the vehicle to us therefore we had to return to the store 3 times. We are still unhappy with the sound of the stereo. Not at all what we were expecting. The stock stereo had better sound then what we just spent $1400 on. Also installed a used speaker from the sound room without any kind of discount.
Kevin and the guys at Car Toys Denton are Awesome. They installed 2 cars with radios and speakers without breaking my budget. My wife said Kevin was patient and went over all the features of her new radio before leaving the store. These guys HAVE gone ABOVE and beyond to make sure we were satisfied.

I had my phone disconnect from my radio and could not get it connected back to it. I came in and Austin was able to help me really fast! Everytime I come in, they always go out of their way to help me. I also have had my radio serviced a couple times too. The customer service is great!
Window was not working at all RIGHT after they installed system. Called for help/assistance and was told to figure it out ourselves. They then said they didnt have time at 6pm (we were leaving to COLORADO THAT NIGHT), whoever was on the phone at this location has zero idea about taking care of a customer, he was worried about not working until closing time. Pathetic, managers tell your employees to not be lazy and take care of the customer, boohoo if you get to leave at 7. was gonna take my fathers F150 here not anymore, definitely going elsewhere and telling anyone to not come here.
1st of all I absolutely love car toys. But the car choice in Denton Texas is supreme Li the number one pick for me out of all the car toys I have been to. Mainly because of the customer Service from the Current store manager and his team including Great customer care from Mr. Lane. The great products usually sell themselves but customer service and the knowledge that you these gentlemen have for the craft day love truly made me I customer there for life. Also if youre going to get anything done in your vehicle Dealing with this craft, there is a genius there who does many different things including Custom made light sabers and his name is Josh. Customer service like I received is almost nonexistent nowadays but he definitely went above and beyond and on his lunch break on Christmas Eve went to the Lewisville store and got the speakers I needed for a Christmas gift!!! Everyone in the store was so helpful and kind!!!! I recommend this car toys for sure!!!!!
I was having issues with a vehicle alarm that the company had installed years ago. The windows would not close when the alarm was set; the system had been set up to do so. The individual switches for the windows would not operate the windows. Only the driver master switch would operate them. I was told a window motor was bad and needed to be replaced and there were electrical shorts in the wires in the harnesses leading from the body into the rear doors (these naturally happen over time). Those had to be fixed. I gave the okay for the repairs. A few days later, one of my windows would not work, again. I took the truck to our mechanic and he finds the same electrical shorts in the harnesses from the body into the doors. So, this store took me for a $367.00 dollar ride.
Had speakers installed, technician did not follow correct installation procedures. Management says it is a speaker fitment issue. Management refused to listen that installation was not properly followed. Go home and do it properly in an hour. ZERO FITMENT ISSUES. Lazy or poorly trained technicians STAY AWAY. 30YR MASTER TECH
Was given a new radio for my car as a gift. It was purchased and installed here at the Denton Car Toys. The car is a 1993 Mustang and we were told when the radio was installed that the speakers may not be able to handle the output from the new radio (no surprise there). Well, sure enough during the next 12 months, one by one they went out. Took the car there yesterday and spoke with Bruce and Ryan (Ryan being the tech) inquiring about replacing the speakers. Before they gave me options, they recommended that they look at the speakers that were in the car (the original speakers). They took the time to look at the speakers and then recommended what they replace them with so that I could get the most out of the radio and get the sound that I wanted. Bruce took the time to answer all my questions, go over what they could do and the cost. Ryan took the time to look over my car and make recommendations. I am currently waiting for my speakers to come in from a store in Denver and am excited about getting the sound and music back into my car. I would definitely recommend this location for the customer service.
Make sure employees understand what the customer is wanting to do and listen to their concerns ahead of time to make sure installs are able to be performed when the customer arrives. Im now looking at having the install done at a different cartoys store or doing a return on the equipment I purchased and buy elsewhere.
Make sure that things are installed correctly because my battery was drained due and died due to this. Also, the car alarm isnt worth it.. it goes off for no reason sometimes and when it rains I cant have out on!! :(( Whats the point then? I need a refund and to get this removed.
Very impressed with knowledge and customer service. Lue did a great job helping me find the radio I needed. Jon did a great job installing my radio and more importantly figured out and fixed an issue that I was having with my truck for over a year. I continue to pester the guys up at Cartoys with all my questions about car audio and they are always ready to answer and help in any way they can. Thanks guys for the stellar customer service.
Against my better judgement went to these incompetent guys to install a remote start system. Kevin quoted me a price and an install time over the phone. Both the install time and the price changed when I got to the shop. Again against my better judgement I went ahead and paid before the service was complete. (Kevin did not give me a receipt) I dropped the vehicle off on a Thursday morning 10am. the told me 2 to 3 hours for install. 4pm rolled around and I hadnt heard from anyone so I decided to call. They said they just need to program the keys and to come on in. When I got there they told me they would be done in 20 minutes. An HOUR later Kyle told me that they couldnt program the keys and that I had to take it to the dealer to have them reprogram the keys. So the next day I took the vehicle to the dealer which cost me money. The dealer did their thing and then I returned to Car Toys that same day. Another quote of 20 minutes to was given, yet another hour went by and they still couldnt jet the remote start to work. Then they tried to tell me that it was still a key problem. The assured me they could have the problem fix by another dealer. So once again I trusted them with my vehicle. They drove it to the second dealer once there the dealer did something to the vehicle to where they cant even get it to start now. I have been without a vehicle for 5 going on 6 days now with no resolution or solutions to this issue. The motto from Kevin, Kyle (Store Manager) and Bruce (Assistant Manage) is no Sir we cant do that, and we dont know whats wrong with your car. The sign behind the counter says Satisfaction Guaranteed There is no way anyone can guarantee ones satisfaction. They couldnt answer the question when asked either. These guys are a joke!
I really wish I could give 10 stars on here instead of 5 I got my Sub reinstalled here the other day and they did a fantastic job doing so my sound system sounds so much better than it ever has before and Im more than extremely satisfied with the results! Next time any of yall go to Car Toys talk to Bruce he is the most helpful person when it comes to customer service in general and he will most definitely get you taken care of!
Once again, stellar service.Went in to have an ancient alarm system (circa 94) removed from my truck. The dealer talked me into putting this on when I bought it new. Needless to say, ancient technology failed and it was draning the battery. Stopped by the store, talked to Bruce, asked if I could do an appointment, he told me that the store didnt do appointments, but if I came in first thing when they opened, Id get right in.Came back first a.m. and the staff got me right in. Ryan removed the unit in less time that they quoted, they charged a very fair price. The biggest thing is they did not try to upsell or get me to buy something else.I have purchased car stereos for 4 different vehicles from this store and always have had, (1) friendly and knowledgeable sales people (2) no pressure to either purchase or purchase something I didnt want or need (3) fantastic and professional installation. The vehicle is always put back together correctly, no loose parts or trim, etc. (4) Good prices -- watch the sales, the staff even tells you if there is one coming up to get the best price.Really recommend the store and the staff.

Most impressed with after looking at my car, Bruce said just pull up to the front door and I will bring u a card so u won’t have to get out of u car. Haven’t had that kind of service in a long time. Yes this is Jimmy and the guys that are toys have any calibrating breathalyzer for over year now ... And their customer service is phenomenal and they are such a pleasure to work with. I have a breathalyzer thru Intoxilox that I was directed by then to get installed and calibrated thru car toys Denton tx. ( I did know I had other options ) Nor did I think a company employeed and certified for these installations and calibrations would not train their employeees properly. This story would be way too long from the beginning but I’ll start when they removed the unit from one vehicle to another. It took about 5 hours. When I went to start the car to leave the parking lot of car toys it would not start. And employee jumped it off and took it to the back again. A while later an employee cane out and told me my battery was too low and would not hold the charge of the unit constantly staying on... keep in mind this is a 2011 Buick Enclave I had purchased used but with the dealership inspection passed with everything about 4 weeks previous to the switch... so until I got to an oreilys I had to get the car jumped off everytime I shut it off. I mean does the unit use THAT much battery power? Is what I thought. But I have two children and in the middle of Texas summer I could not keep up with that rediculous sharade so I spent 125 on a brand new battery that same day. After the install of the new battery that the employee at oreilys installed. The car would not start still. He checked the voltage of both batteries. The new one was obviously great any the old one was at the quarter line of the read out. He told me in now way would the car die that fast even if I had left the old battery in the vehicle. But I kept the new battery anyways as it was already bought and paid for and just to be sure. However the problem of my car not starting everytime the ignition turned off was still an issue. I called back up to car toys. They then told me “well it could be a faulty unit then and we will have a new one over nighter for you”. Ok . No choice. When I brought my car up to have the new unit installed. Low and behold the car started, 4 hours later again. I went to leave the parking lot and my driver side blinkers (both front and back) and my driver side only air vents had not only stopped blowing cold with the ac ( probably 108 degrees outside without the heat index ). But it was now blowing hot air. Very hot air. I did not go far. I did a u turn actually and pulled right back in to tell them the issues. They once again pulled it around to the back. Another hour and a half, 3 men looking online and on their phone for trouble shooting (the back bay has clear glass window so you watch them.). An employee came to me and said they do not know what is wrong with my vehicle but it certainly has nothing to do with the install they just did and actually my vehicle has this problem a lot as they googled it and I would need to take it to the dealership. My jaw almost dropped to the floor. Litteraly my car was 100 percent in working condition before they installed and uninstalled and installed again. Oh and by the way they told me they did not do an inspection of my vehicle so there is no way to know if it was having these issues before I brought it back in for the new unit... a day later. I’ve necer been so irritated in my life! The only constellation they offered was for me to bring my car back again the NEXT day and they would look at it some more because it was close to closing at this point. As my car is under warranty unless the wires are screwed with I am NOT paying for the dealership fees. Ive just toughened thru the heat as long as my children and passenger are comfortable in the back and passenger side where the ac actually works. And when I’m able to take the unit out, then I will take it to the dealership. But I don’t feel like some of the employees at this location are qualified to work a toaster. Much less be messing with wires on a vehicle. And they should have done an inspection of the car before they spend 5-9 hours rearranging wires.

When it comes to installations needing to be done for anything from GPS systems to trunk subwoofers and amplifiers, this is the go-to place to have it professionally installed using clean wiring and high grade equipment. The service is extraordinary and not to mention that any questions you have, will be answered with compassion and care. I couldnt ask for a better or friendlier neighborhood car equipment shop.
Fix my electric window that got damaged while fixing a speaker that didn’t work. The manager at the loop 288 store in Denton Texas is the rudest person I’ve ever come in contact at a retail store. Once I get everything fixed they did wrong I will never shop there again. I will strongly discourage everyone I know from going there.
Although there customer service was great the service I paid for wasnt so much. I went to Car Toys to get an interior detail cleaning and at first glance it looked good. But as I drove I noticed places that didnt look like they were touched. And now, as I am in my van cleaning right now, Im picking up so much dirt with Mr. Clean and a paper towel. Im also spotting marks that werent there before as well. Id have to say Im pretty disappointed.... I wouldnt have spent so much if I knew I was going to have to go back and clean it the next day.
Customer Service Rep Lue and Service Tech Brady are a Team that I will be glad to purchase from again. I did my research before I made the entertainment upgrade for my 2010 Ford F-150 and these guys took away any doubt I could have had! Lue started the process by showing me ALL the options I had to choose from and thoroughly explaining each. Once finished he helped me choose what system would work best for me within my budget and was even able to set me up with a Car Toys account that gave me 12 months interest free. Technician Brady then took over by taking me step by step with his installation plan and time frame to complete the work. I am a perfectionist, and very picky about my truck, however Brady exceeded my expectations with the installation. Overall, an AWESOME purchasing experience!!! Thanks Car Toys Team Denton!!!
I called and they said on the phone to come up in our truck they had radios that fit. We got there and they seemed like they didnt know how to really look up what we wanted and didnt really want to listen to what were looking for. After looking for about 30 seconds on the computer they guy said nope! We dont have anything for your truck. They dont make anything for a 2018 Ram Tradesman????? Whatever
We called and spoke to the store manager. We told him exactly what we needed and he quoted us a price and assured us that it would not be any more than his quote. When we arrived the technician told us it would be almost 3 times the original quote. He said the manager was merely a salesman and didnt have any knowledge of what it required to do the job.. if that is the case then he should have told us that he had no idea on the phone and to bring it in to let the more knowledgeable technicians look at the job and quote us a price. Very unprofessional and a complete waste of our time. Went down the road and got the work done for less than the first quote we were given. Dont waste your time or money .
Car toys used a company called progressive leasing to fund purchases for customers. What they didn’t tell me is that this company has shady practices itself. Bought a car stereo from them, put $1000 down and funded the rest. Maybe another $1000. Payments of $100 has been drawn from my account totaling $2316. And I still owe 384 more. Steer clear of the Denton car toys! Btw, when I called they told me they don’t use progressive anymore and have no records to give me... then two minutes later the manager said they may have them at corpor office.
We purchased DVD headphones from Bruce on the way to Tyler from Decatur. We saw that one set was glitching, not good with kids!! So we called Bruce and he said stop in McKinney, he would call ahead. We saw DJ in McKinney and it was a quick switch and we were on the road again!!! Most of our conversation was with Bruce who was exceptionally customer friendly and he went the extra mile, no questions asked. Thank you Car Toys!!
These guys were great (Bruce, Kyle, John, Lane). Patient and forgiving as we worked thru an install process. My Husband and I had just bought a new Jeep Wrangler knowing wed need an upgraded stereo system. We initially chose the Kenwood DNX893S, but as nice as it was, we couldnt see the screen very well at normal sitting positions in the Jeep. We tried a second Kenwood, same problem. On the 3rd try, we went to Pioneer AVIC-8200NEX, and it was perfect. Thats a lot of patience on everybodys part to work thru, we went from bitter disappointment (with Kenwood) to a very satisfied customer. They also ran 2 backup cameras (one going to our new travel trailer). A shop like this is what you need when you find yourself in a position of not liking the product, they will work with you to get it done to your satisfaction. Thanks Car Toys!!!
It was horrible experience for me trying to get some sound in my carThe guy who took my payment said i should be done by 5 pm so you can just come back then so about 445 when i return to the store my car still on the same spot where i park it .Finally i asked what the problem was and they told me they only had 1 person working and wouldnt be able to get it done till after 630 .If you dint think you could get it done they should it told me and go somewhere else .so i finally got my credit card refunded.i should it spend my money somewhere else..Not even an apology for waisting my day ?? It sucks .
The guys at Car Toys in Denton are fabulous. I have worked with them for several years and the past two experiences that I had with them were the very best. They are punctual, informative, and extremely knowledgable about their work and treat every vehicle if it were their own. They even repaired a device that another store installed incorrectly with grace and finesse. I will always be a loyal customer to Car Toys in Denton because of their professionalism, courteous demeanor, and frequent updates of what is occurring with my vehicles. Thanks guys and great work! Excellent service and super fast install! I had new door speakers put in, a sub woofer, a amplifier, gain knob, and my trunk Dino matted in just under 4 hours! Big shout out to the technicians and Michael Adibe the customer service expert for helping me pick out exactly what I wanted. If you go to the Cartoys of Denton ask for Michael Adibe. He is very knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely come here again for all my car audio needs.
It would have been 2 stars but after my recent phone call to them it really made me hate this place.this place is expensive and not worth the price you pay at all. they say itll take an hour really means itll take 5 hours.I paid $500 for them to install a subwoofer in my vehicle and a volume knob. after a few months, the volume knob stopped working and they were going to charge me $50 to fix it. Um, no. Had to have a friend fix it.THE BIGGEST BS is that if you need it uninstalled they charge you HALF of what you originally paid for it! So if I want it out of my car I have to pay them $250. Just to take the damn thing out. No thanks.So the verdict:Quality: 1 out of 5Price: 0 out of 5Service: 2 out of 5Overall: 0 out of 5I will never give this place my business again. Thanks for nothing.
Went there around 5pm (8/14/20). Three behind counter. One in black shirt on his phone, two red shirts at the 2 computers. One was wearing No mask, even though they require it for all. Told the maskless employee I was looking for a sub, but he continued to type in some info on his computer. I stood there for a while, finally the other employee asked if I was helped, at this time it was too late and I left. The data entry / being on phones was more important than a sale. I will go elsewhere.
I called the store in Denton, told the guy the year, make, and model of my car and told him that I wanted to add a feature that would allow me to plug my phone in and play into my car stereo. I asked him how much it would cost, ballpark. He hemmed and hawed, told me that there is no way that he could know that without me bringing my car in despite the fact that I had given him all the information that he shouldve needed. Finally asked him if he thought it would be closer to $500 or 10,000. He said he wasnt sure and it was just a shot in the dark but he thinks closer to $500. Called the store in Hurst. Got the answer that I needed within one minute.

2021-11-09Great shop. The location and atmosphere in the shop made me a little nervous initially. I can say Ace (salesmen) is amazing at his job. And Cole did a great clean install and really added some personal touches to my custom enclosure. Would definitely recommend this shop and go back for future jobs!! I cant say enough good things about this shop and the staff. The guys were very pro, knowledgeable, and were able to get me exactly what I needed for a very reasonable price. And they got my installation done quickly and clean... It looks and sounds GREAT! Much Thanks guys... Now my work truck is finally ready for the road. You guys rock!

2022-07-25Had rock lights installed that I purchased from a different vendor and windows tinted. I saw one thing I didn’t like with a window and they were very quick to fix the issue. I had always assumed that car toys was more expensive than other smaller companies. I now know that their pricing is extremely fair and they actually saved me money on the rock light install. Rock lights install looks very professional and all wires are hidden. Tint cost was the same as most companies but the quality of the install was better than most. Needless to say the Denton Location has earned my business.

2022-02-12This Car Toys was great! First of all everyone was extremely professional, especially Bruce, who was the person I worked with to set up the job and sold me the radio and installation. He and the install technician (Trey) were extremely knowledgeable. I had done installation before myself, and from my first discussions with Bruce, I knew he was an expert. On top of all of that, Bruce quoted me a price and once we got the work done, he was able to discount my payment even more. The installation that Trey did was clean and made to fit my vehicle perfectly. After the installation was completed, Bruce patiently went over the radio features and operation thoroughly. Again, this Car Toys was outstanding and I would highly recommend them for your next car audio installation.

There was a delay in installation due to a missing part but when i added a sub at the last minute they managed to get it installed at the same time. Ryan the installer was great to work with. He made suggestions i hadnt even thought about which made the system even better than i planned and was accurate with the time he said my truck would be ready. Would definitely use them again!

2022-05-21I went in to get just a low end radio for my car, and the employees, who are beyond respectful and quite likable, helped me to find a stereo that was even better with free installation that was within my budget. All in all I was very satisfied with my purchase and my interactions with the company. 10/10 I would recommend and will only do more business at this location.

2022-06-01Excellent customer service at this location in Denton, TX., I was completely blown away by the extra attention that they put into making you feel like a truly valued customer. Which is a hard thing to find now days. I went in to have a remote start put on my car, and they were done before I knew it. I recommend bringing your business and repeat business back to these guys, they really know what theyre doing. Keep up the great work!

2022-02-28Theyre friendly, they explain everything and are very knowledgeable. There was some hickup on installation of heated seats, HOWEVER, they said they were willing to fix it. I appreciated that. Definitely will take my cars to get neat stuff from them again.
