Everyone here was so professional and efficient yet very personable. I was in and out in under an hour. Hands down the best urgent care visit I’ve ever had. We had already been turned away from another urgent care place because she decided it was too close to closing time, even though I was bleeding from a forehead laceration.
This place was amazing! We are from Michigan and in Austin for a wedding and my son woke up with a very swollen eye. Everyone was very friendly and professional from the front desk to the assistant and PA. My son is special needs and everyone spent some “extra moments” with him to make sure he was comfortable. Thank you fir a great experience!
Went for a COVID test after being exposed to someone. I would give my experience a one star based on the receptionist alone. I added a star for the very nice medical staff. I didnt go higher because of the medical treatment which prolonged my recovery and put others at risk. The girl at the front desk (rudely) asks if I have an appointment. This is an urgent care not a doctors office. I have to ask her if I can be seen. Now mind you there is no one in the waiting area. No one. She then charges me a copay. I point out that the public health emergency that is in place requires visits related to covid testing be covered at 100%. I wont owe a copay. She tells me that if that happens I can file a claim with my insurance. Now I know that this girl is not competent. If the insurance pays Care Now 100%, that means they paid my copay to them. I decide that Ill take this up later when Im feeling better. The medical staff were very nice. Im positive for COVID. The issue I had with the medical staff is that they sent my script to a pharmacy with no drive through pickup. Since it was a pharmacy right next to them, I would think they would know that it didnt have one. Better yet, it is a Walmart...so packed with people. They didnt prescribe the antiviral. My PCP asked if I knew why when I had to go to the PCP 6 days later because I was getting worse. I had no clue why because i did ask about it. My PCP told me to take some Mucinex DM. That worked very quickly. Why did they not suggest that to the girl who cannot breathe through either nostril for what turned out to be 6 days? They instead prescribed an inhaler and some tesslon pearls. Nothing for my painfully sore throat, which only got more sore because I had to breathe through it for 6 days. Will I return here? No. The front desk girl is rude and should know that I didnt owe a copay considering this had been in place since the pandemic started TWO and a half years ago.I will be contacting them when my bill is processed through insurance to get my money back. If you went there (or anywhere) for a covid test related visit you do not owe a copay for the visit, not just the test. That is in place right now until 10/13/22 unless its extended for another 90 days. Its been extended in 90 day increments for 2.5 years. They wont just send you your money. You need to ask for it.
I have been going here since I moved to Austin a few years ago, and I am thoroughly impressed by the overall care they provide. They offer a web check in so you can wait until they are ready for you instead of sitting in waiting room for awhile, and once you check in, are seen immediately. The staff is very welcoming, and understanding of your needs. They offer thorough explanations of any diagnosis given (verbally and documentation printed) and will take the time to explain anything you may not understand. Coming from someone who works at a dental office that stresses patient care and overall experience, I would highly recommend this place because it exceeds my expectations every time. A shout out to Dr. Miller who I see most often that is always professional and caring, Dr. Craft who I recently met at prior visit and was thoroughly impressed and had an amazing bedside manner, and Ms. Blansitt for being super easy to talk to and professional in all aspects… without you and other staff these practices wouldn’t thrive without your hard work! Thanks again for always being so amazing! I will recommend y’all to others!
Wait times are horrible!!! I made an appointment and 2.5 hours later, have not seen a doctor. Now almost three hours. Almost left several times but afraid that they will bill me anyway. Update: the weight ended up being almost 4 hours. I believe that they did forget about me because someone came in the room twice to clean the room out after the last patient but discovered I was still there. I think the entire system for who is next is out of whack.
I didnt have a great experience here, apparently they were having technical difficulties with one of their computers. The wait was terrible 2 hours in the waiting room, then over 1 hour inside to see the doctor. They were also not very organized, they let someone with a similar name go in to be treated in my place by mistake and didnt realize they were treating the wrong person until they came out to the waiting room for the person that was already inside, then I had to wait until they transferred the information to the correct account. It was a very unpleasant experience.
The online check in was difficult to use. I waited about 45 minutes to finally see a nurse practitioner. She spent only a few minutes. I had a very bad cellulitis from some type off insect bite. I am a RN and requested she give me an injection andi was very concerned about becoming septic but she said it was not necessary. She prescribed an abx and after two daysthe cellulitis continued to get worse and go down my elbow into my hand. On Monday I called my general practitioner who said to come right in. I was given an injection of cefuroxitine. By the second day it was completely resolved. I was told I was vey luck I didn’t become septic. I chose this facility because of the affiliation withSt David’s but I will not be coming here in the future
I went to this Urgent Care and if they correctly diagnosed my situation, they would given me antibiotics for food poisoning. I would have likely been feeling better by 4th of July to have a great holiday weekend. Instead, I got Zofran, which I suspect helped to keep all of the food poisoning inside me. I ended up with 103.7 fever with vomiting and diarrhea. People can die from food poisoning. Thanks CareNow....
I came in last month because I was having upper abdominal pain on several occasions that were painful. I was basically told that it was my diet and was dismissed no matter what I was saying .They didn’t bother ordering any kind of lab tests or anything…..I went to a PCP a few days later as soon as I could get an appointment and they listened to every symptom I was experiencing. They ordered an ultrasound and it turns out I had gallstones and now they can do something about it. I’m upset that my concerns were dismissed here….$75 co pay for nothing!
I waited 2 hours to be seen and had a really lackluster experience overall. Dont feel like getting into the details because Im sick (obvi) but not very impressed. Even now Im waiting in a room to fill out paperwork but wasnt told what that paperwork is or why Im having to wait for it?
This urgent care is GREAT! QUICK/CLEANMy second visit was yesterday. I got back within 15 minutes. Dr. Miller is super sweet and informative. Front desk staff and nurses were also awesome. My insurance is through atnea and it’s only $40 co pay! Thanks again guys! Great experience both times!!
Went to urgent care today, they were able to see me immediately. I really liked Dr Miller. He was kind and really took his time when speaking with me so he could come to the correct diagnosis. He also wasn’t condescending like a lot of doctors are! Next time I need urgent care I will definitely come back here.
I checked in online and did all the registration I could. Received my text and came in. Front desk staff was very nice and explained the payment/insurance process. Had a short wait in the waiting room then a short wait in the exam room. The nursing staff was very nice and helpful. The doctor was awesome and had great bedside manner! She was quick and efficient! I appreciated not having to repeat everything I told the nurse to her! I was in and out within about an hour! Amazing for an urgent care visit!
They have a Huge sign when you walk-in that say “STOP Check in online”, but if you check in online you’re not checked in…. After 20 mins of people coming in after us, and getting attended to before us. One of the front desk ladies told us, we weren’t checked in. Sadly the front desk staff is a poor representation for the Doctors, and nurses (who are pretty great). At the end it costed $700 dollars for the visit, just for them to tell me wait a couple days to feel better. When I asked why the cost was $700 dollars I was told because the longevity of the visit…
Not only was everyone extremely professional, they were all very nice. I felt cared for and relieved that I was in such a well run medical establishment. Check in was fast and efficient, the nurse who took my information and prep was really calming and explained everything to me, the Doctor was super easy to communicate with and listened to all my concerns and worked with me, the X-ray technician was well trained, fast and efficient. They call my prescriptions in to my home pharmacy, so I could just drive through, and get home to rest.I was very happy with the whole process and am feeling better everyday.Thank you Medical Team at CareNow-St.David’s Southwest
Recommending urgent care seems super weird — like, nobody wants to end up there, so its hard to recommend a spot. That said, if you need urgent care, this place is great (IMO). The staff and the doctor (Dr. Seth Miller) were amazing — kind, calming, funny. The facility itself is pristine, and the intake / release process was efficient. The follow-up call was also much appreciated. A really good, reassuring experience.
Dr Hill and his staff were wonderful. I get cedar fever regularly, but this year it came early. My solution for years has been a steroid shot paired with a decongestant, antibiotic (when necessary, and various and sundry OTC drugs. After waiting for 24 hours for a call back that never came from my PCP, then another 6 hours only to be told I could not be seen by ADC without already having a COVID test from someplace else, I went searching for alternatives. I managed to get an appointment for the next day with CVS Minute Clinic (love them but I was in dire straits), and then I called CareNOW. They put me on a standby list estimated to be at least 2 hours. I got into a room in about 3 hours and they quickly assessed my situation, gave me a shot along with recommendations for some other remedies, and sent me home to bed. I feel 85% better today. Thanks CareNOW for listening, for your attentiveness and great customer service.
Mobile check-in was easy and saved me some wait time. The staff were kind and friendly (even to the irate patient who berated them for untimely test results). The PA took the time to listen to my concern and partner with me on a treatment plan. I’m very satisfied with my urgent care experience here.
Everyone from the front desk to the person who checks you into a room, are a delight. Dr. Jennifer is spectacular. I came in as a non appointment today and was seen ASAP. The facility is clean. I am on my way to get my medication that was prescribed and already mentally feel better due to how kind everyone is.
The online check in needs to be updated since it gives the impression that you are going to get an appointment and advises you to wait from home. When I arrived it was informed that walk ins were priority and I didn’t need to wait at home, yet the phones were broken and I couldn’t call to confirm. Very frustrating and I had two people come in right after me confused by the same thing. Please change your online check in or the messages it provides and fix your phones! I’m giving a 4 star rating because when I arrived the staff was very helpful, patient and efficient and I was able to be seen despite several other patients ahead of me. They got me in, tested and out as fast as possible and the visit went well, minus a star for the online system which they do not control.
The folks here were really nice, I was a walk-in at 6.00 pm; they checked me in, and listened to my explanation of my injury, we’re calm, professional, looked over my injury thoroughly, explained what they were doing; and how I should care for it. All in all, a good experience considering they were working past their closing time.Several years ago, I had taken my daughter there and we received great care then as well (different doctor)Thank you to the doctor and his staff!
The wait was a bit longer than most clinics, but it was well worth it! Dr. Miller knew exactly how to listen and provided the most knowledgeable input & diagnosis. Hands down the best doctor I have been seen by so far. Friendly staff and clean space. Only 2-3 people in total being seen and I believe he was the only Doctor there, so it makes sense why I waited longer to be seen. Again, so worth it since he truly listens and has input on all your concerns. He respected me by giving me the time to express all my symptoms and WebMD ideas. Unlike most doctors, he didnt dismiss my own research on my at-home self diagnosis, and had a few jokes. I only wish now that he could be instead be my primary doctor.
Ive been to Urgent Care clinics many times for myself and at least 4 times with my kids. This time my son cut his finger pretty badly (on a Saturday of course) with his carving knife and we needed some help closing the cut. I went in expecting and dreading the same rude treatment Ive always gotten at urgent care. Ive especially noticed that my kids tend to be treated like an annoyance. My kid was really scared, and I was ready to ask for better treatment this time. I didnt need to! The woman at the front desk was so nice to my son, offering him ice cream and asking him all about how he cut his finger. The nurse was easy going and didnt seem annoyed, and the doctor was quick and kept it light. I could tell at one point she got a little frustrated because he was scared to move the finger like she was asking him to, but I could see her regroup and she stayed friendly. I understand that they are dealing with this difficult stuff ALL DAY, but we are not. Its good to know that there are still health care providers who understand that their patients might be hurting or sick and afraid of whats next and are willing to see each one as an individual. Usually with some good bedside manner, we are comforted and can even be better patients because of it!
Really appreciated the timeliness and friendliness of the staff at CareNow south location. Went there first thing in the morning to get a covid test for travel - they were busy but handled everything with efficiency and kindness. Overall very pleased with our visit. My boyfriend also went here a couple weeks ago and received great care.
I have been to this urgent care a number of times. I am always able to see someone the same day, I am able to schedule time ahead, the doctor does not seem rushed and truly cares for you as if he were your everyday family doctor, and I have yet to be steered in the wrong direction once leaving. The entire staff has always been over-the-top friendly. I drive a little further to this urgent care when needed solely because of the incredible staff.
I have never been to CareNow as I’m a new Texas resident, but after an injury I was instructed to visit as it was the closest urgent care. Upon arrival I was pleasantly greeted by the receptionist and filled out some paperwork. Within 15 minutes I was seen, Dr. Miller was extremely friendly and knowledgeable, the X-ray tech made me laugh and was very nice, and all-in-all it was a great experience. Will definitely be back if I ever need to visit an urgent care clinic again.
I had a great experience at St. Davids Urgent Care Southwest. I walked in at 7:30 PM & the staff stayed late to see me. The southwest location couldnt have been any better - highly recommend.A much better experience than the South Congress location that I went to at 7:10PM. The front desk lady basically told me they were closing soon & to try somewhere else because they didnt have an x-ray tech. I didnt even need an x-ray. Supremely unhelpful & uncaring in my time of need.
Every aspect of the facility was very clean. Check-in was easy and straightforward. I was seen quickly, and all staff were very professional and responsive. Dr Seth Miller was the staff physician on the day I went, and he was compassionate and listened well. He did not rush the visit and answered all of my questions. I highly recommend this urgent care facility.
Dr. Miller and his staff were all AMAZING! I checked in online and had an extremely short wait. His front office worker was quick, kind, and professional. The other personnel who helped me was funny and was super nice. And let but certainly not least was Dr. Miller who clearly care a lot about his patients. Thank you all so much for taking care of me. I will recommend you to anyone and everyone and will be sure to visit next time I am injured or sick!!
Checked in online at 9:40am. Was told to come back at 6pm. Called at 6pm to see where I am on the list as I had not heard anything. Said 8 people still in front of me and they probably wouldn’t be able to see me before they close.Decided to go in at 7:20pm just in case I could be seen last minute. Receptionist looks at me and says “you are number two, that person there is going to be our last though because we don’t have time for you” they close at 8pm….. apparently 40 minutes is not enough time to see 2 patients.. also, I don’t roll over to the morning to be scene first.
I’m so happy I went to CareNow. My ear was bothering me and I needed to be seen ASAP. I was able to do a web check in and wait at home until they were ready for me. I was so nice to arrive and have virtually no wait. The front desk was super friendly and welcoming. The nurse that checked everything before dr. (I think Mary was her name) was super friendly and professional. And Dr Miller was great. He was super informative and helpful. I didn’t feel like he was rushed or wanted to just give me meds and leave. He cared and really listened to my symptoms. Who needs a primary? I’ll just go see Dr Miller 😜
I checked-in online and was sent a text when they were ready for me to come in, it really helped not waiting in the waiting room forever! Everything was easy snd fairly quick. The receptionist was very friendly and calm. When I saw Dr. Miller, I instantly felt at ease. He has a fun personality and, even though I was in a lot of pain/under a lot of stress/emotional, he made me laugh and helped me with whatever he could do. I have a history of UC and have a GI appointment set up, but I and couldn’t get into a GI fast enough before the symptoms got unbearable, hence going to an Urgent Care. I explained that I had been off the regulating medication for a good while because they were so expensive ($500/month!). All of my previous doctors had said there was no generic and that’s just how much it would be... maybe they recently came out with a generic as that was a few years ago, but Dr. Miller told me there absolutely is a generic of that medication that would be way cheaper for me. I also was able to start a steroid as that is what the GI usually gives me when I get a bad flare up. Bottom line, Dr. Miller wad extremely personable and helpful and I wish he could be my full time doctor! The intake and reception staff were also all great! Thank you so much to everyone there today!
Actually turns out that this place is absolutely horrendous in their practices. My wife and I recently scheduled appointments to get tested for Covid as wed been exposed, and we have elderly family visiting from out of town. The scheduling process alone is a mess, you have to get in some sort of arbitrary line where you request a time, and then theyll send you a text when its your turn. We requested 8am and got the text after 10, and the clinic was completely empty. The worst part though is that they billed my wifes insurance close to $400, out of which $280 something was out of pocket, even though her insurance company specifically says that theyll cover any Covid related healthcare expense until the end of January 2022. Its likely because they seem to have mixed member and group IDs from two different insurances; one thats expired and one thats active.Second worst part: They wont ask you what test you want done, they jump straight to an antigen test, and they dont even specifically tell you this, you have to find out for yourself when its all done. This is actually EXTREMELY messed up as the antigen tests are very cheap, but these guys still charge an arm and a leg for them. The other issue with it is that as were both asymptomatic, a PCR test would be the only proper test to take as its way more sensitive than an antigen test, but what do they care if we transmit anything to anyone, as long as were out of the clinic, right? Will never, ever in my life come back here. American healthcare in a nutshell, all about the $.EDIT: This claim was just processed by my insurance. They billed $384 for a Covid test, and a physical that I never asked for. They also collected a $25 copay that they shouldnt have. Once again, I will never, ever, return to or recommend Carenow to anyone. Actually, Ill recommend my friends and anyone who asks to go elsewhere.
Staff was super friendly and the doctor I saw was quite knowledgeable and patient when answering my questions. I wouldve given 5 stars, but the wait after taking vitals was super long, I think I waited between 45 min to an hour before I saw the doc. Would still go back though and definitely recommend for any urgent care needs.
A couple of days ago I paid a visit to CareNow Urgent Care because I accidentally cut my finger! Hopefully, the staff were really nice and fast and took care of it quickly. The entire procedure took around 30 minutes with almost zero waiting time. I especially want to mention one of the physician assistants, Sholeh, who was super nice and professional and took care of all the stitches and everything for me. I hope nothing like that ever happens to me again but if it does I definitely go back there:)
As being in the U.S. Military, Dr. Miller and staff really impressed me from the wait all the the way to being seen. They treated me like a patient is supposed to be treated like they will give you perfect care. The receptionist so polite and even called to check back on me the very next day. The Medical Tech was very nice and really cared for me like I was at a 5 star hotel. Thank you all so much!!!
First time at this place. Overall it was okay but it did take a long time to be seen for a simple drug test. I had to fill out tons of information after they make you scan a QR code and then you had to fill out regular paper work. Then it just took a while to get in to be seen with less than 4 people there. Also, I felt the collector of the specimen wasn’t very friendly. Just a meh experience for a first time visit. If I had to do it again I may choose a different place if there was something in close proximity.
Amazing service providers in crazy times! I got there almost at 7:30pm and was greeted really nicely and was processed right away by Selena. Nurse Vernice was very friendly and kind. Dr Miller was really knowledgeable and took the time to truly analyze and explain my condition. Really have no complaints and hope the best for them.
Needed rapid test after being exposed to someone who later tested VOVID positive. Consulted CareNow and was told that 5 days post exposure would not give me accurate results. Told to wait until 7 days post exposure. Was able to find nearest clinic on website and “check in” via website. Also filled out required patient paperwork online. This process was very convenient. Clinic texted me that they were ready for me to come in 2 hours after my online check in. Was called back to exam room shortly after arrival at the clinic.Very nice staff, I was swabbed in the nostril - quick and efficient. 30 minutes later as I waited in the exam room a very nice and informative nurse practitioner gave me the wonderful news that I am COVID NEGATIVE!!! Yeah!
My second visit here during this year of Covid and the care, professionalism and efficiency couldnt be better! Im new to Austin, and a military retiree so finding quality medical care was a concern. Im so pleased with this office and refer everyone I meet here. From the front staff to the doctor in charge, the care and attention is great.
I came here for a bad case of poison ivy. When I arrived there were about 15 patients ahead of and I was told there was a two hour wait (ERs NEVER give a time estimate). The desk nurse took my info and let me go get food while keeping my place in line. When I got to see the doctor he listened and was empathetic. Dr. Seth took time to talk me through my options. Im super grateful. I couldnt give 5 stars because there were a variety of typos on my script that gave held me up held me up at the pharmacy.
Super disorganized and unprofessional. They act like theyve never had patients before. Staff wasnt rude or anything, just wildly incompetent. Dont trust their quoted wait times. Was told 1.5-2 hours. Ended up waiting 5+ hours with only 4 other people in the waiting area. Doc was fine but wow what a terrible experience
CareNow SW has online checkin, which is fantastic to do from the comfort of home, and they let you know when to arrive. There was very little waiting; I was in pain, so that’s a huge plus. From the moment I entered the facility their front-line receptionist treated me with kindness & concern in the sweetest way. Next I was seen by a caring nurse & Dr Seth Miller who was compassionate, empathetic, & extremely helpful. I couldn’t be more pleased with the treatment I received from start to finish from this wonderful crew & my condition improved rapidly! Highly recommend this urgent care faculty with their excellent approach to care. Medical heroes right around the corner!
I only needed preop covid test, everyone at the facility was very nice and helpful. The facility is clean and if I ever needed to visit an urgent care clinic I would definitely come here.Update- came a second time, this time for Tetanus shot, same great experience as the first visit.
I did the virtual check-in process and it was very easy to understand. The front desk was pleasant and gave me intricate instructions. I saw Dr. Miller and he was very knowledgeable and provided me with great information. He spent a good time with me answering questions and providing me with instructions on care. Nobody made me feel rushed at all, as clinics are very fast pace. Thank you for seeing me! I appreciate your time and all you do for the community.
My husband and I both landed in urgent care within a week of each other. Care Now took great, quick care of us. The staff were kind and patient even when it was very busy, and addressed our issues quickly while making us feel listened to. The clinic is clean and well taken care of. We’d absolutely go back.
Came in for Covid testing. Told the nurse at the front desk I was exposed yesterday. Waited six hours for a test to be told by the doctor that even if I’m positive it’s too early for the test to pick it up. Why wasn’t I told this at the check in? $75 and a whole day of work wasted to be told nothing.
I can honestly say this was one of the best Urgent Care facilities I’ve ever been to. The staff was super friendly, accommodating, and knowledgeable. I do need to give a special thanks to Seth Miller MD. I have never had an urgent care doctor care so much about my well being. I went in with some severe stomach pain and Dr. Miller did a great job at pin-pointing what it was. He gave me 3 possible options and clearly explained what he thought it was and, I can’t stress this enough, genuinely seemed concerned that it was appendicitis. He highly recommended getting a CT scan at St. David’s. Since I was having trouble with insurance, he also talked to me about ways to save a little money. Turns out, he was 100% correct. I went to St. Davids, got a CT scan, was admitted to the ER and got my appendix removed! Dr. Miller even contacted me the next morning to make sure I was ok. Personally, that’s what I want in a doctor. He’s personable, caring, smart, and just seems like a genuine guy who loves being a doctor. If you need to go to an urgent care, go here.
The clinic was busy and had people coming in who had signed up online. One person was running the whole front area, and though some people were annoyed because they had to wait, the gal upfront handled herself with professionalism by being nice and courteous...hats off to her! My attending nurse was very efficient and pleasant... I felt at ease. The DR was wonderful! I enjoyed his input and attention to drug interactions etc. i would definetely go back to them. The place was clean, well lit, coffee available and best of all... wholesome TV and not the garbage you see everywhere anymore in waiting rooms. Thank you CareNow! Mrs Phillips
Best urgent care experience I’ve ever had. Dr. Miller listened to me and emphasized when 2 other doctors had not. He did an even more thorough assessment of my knee then my primary care had. He ordered me an MRI which finally got me the answers I needed after waiting over 2 months. Highly recommend!
I would like to start by saying how pleasant my experience was. The receptionist greeted my straight away very kindly (even though it was right before close) and proceeded to check me in promptly. The nurses and other office staff were very friendly during every part, even during the neck x-rays. Dr.Miller if by far the kindest and most personable dr I have met so far! (And Ive gone to 5 dr appointments this week) I would definitely recommend!
This is the third time I’ve had to go. Each time everyone was extremely nice, efficient, courteous, and there was never a long wait. Today I saw Andrea. She is by far the best provider I have ever seen. She has the best bed side manners, she genuinely seemed to care not only about how I felt today but what I could do to prevent such illness again. I wouldn’t ever say I enjoy going to the doctor when I’m sick, but she made it a tolerable experience. Thank you.
Great staff and medical help. Nothing was rushed and medical personnel were very knowledgeable. We were treated with so much care and respect and we’re not just treated like a number given a rushed prescription to move on to the next patient like we have experienced at other urgent cares. We were seen my an MD and not just a nurse practitioner or PA. The office was very nice, modern, and clean. Would definitely recommend and will be going back. Five stars all around.
Words can’t even explain how much I love CareNow! I choose to come here over my primary care provider because there is hardly ever a wait time and the care I receive here is incomparable. The front desk women are always welcoming and ready to help with whatever questions I have. Nurse Ashley is the BEST! She makes me feel like she really cares about me unlike a lot of other nurses who just rush you through and just want to get their day over with. She takes her time to really listen and help in any way she can. Dr. Miller is by far the best doctor I’ve ever had. He’s very knowledgeable and kind and I even bring all of my kids to him for their $20 sports physicals. This place is the best!
Front desk staff was super nice and crazy helpful. Actual doctor doesn’t understand knee pain at all. I told her I couldn’t straighten my leg because of my injury and her response was, “weird!” And she tried to force my leg straight. Did she have X-ray results for me? No! Did she know for sure she wouldn’t do more damage? Also no! Avoid Dr. Behbahani.
Everyone was pleasant and helpful. I was impressed with how they carefully took my health history and with their interest regarding my current issue. The nurse was gentle and explained each step of the test so I knew exactly what would happen. I highly recommend them.
My friend took me here immediately after I got in a moped crash. I was in a lot of shock with some pretty bad road burn. But this urgent care was great! They fixed me right up.The bedside manner was so nice. They made me feel safe but were also super friendly and kind. I was in a lot of pain but they were careful and concerned, and did what they had to do with as little pain as possible. - (Stitches, Wound treatment, X Rays)They got me in right away and I was out in just a few hours. There was NOT a lot of waiting or idol time.Im so thankful I went here instead of the hospital or calling an ambulance.Thank you!
Going for a covid test is not what anyone wants to have to do, but our choice of CareNow urgent care location was great. We had to wait just a little while, but there were 4 folks in front of us.Everyone was professional and helped put our minds at ease .The test was very fast and not painful at all. We waited for the fast results.Negative is the word you want to hear, and thats what we got. Thanks CareNow! Highly recommend this location!
Love this place! I went with concerns of having a uti on Sunday morning. I got there filled out brief paperwork and was seen very quickly. The nurse went over my medical history and then Dr. Miller came in shortly after. He was extremely kind and truly cared about me and my issue. I do not have insurance at the moment and he went out of his way to find me the least expensive pharmacy. I am very impressed with them! The whole staff was perfect! Definitely recommend!
Arrived for a laceration that needed stitches, no appointment, was seen by the nurse within 20 min of my arrival. Dr. Berney and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and very nice. Was in and out in less than 2 hours which was impressive. If you don’t have insurance I would STRONGLY recommend coming here. Thank you all!
Our visit yesterday with CareNow Urgent Care - Southwest Austin was extremely frustrating. We needed Covid tests for our flights to Peru on American Airlines at 6:45am the next day and the clinic did not administer the correct test. We were charged $50 for a molecular test when we needed antigen test. We missed our flight and had to rebook and retake the correct COVID test at another clinic. Extremely frustrating that the clinic did not administer the correct test even after asking where we were going and with what airline. Seemed uninformed and unprofessional.
Had a great experience at CareNow. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Had a deep cut that wouldnt stop bleeding and need quick help. Was helped super quick and the doctor was able to stop the bleeding and gave detailed information on after care.Quality, convienent medical care at fair upfront pricing. I highly recommend them!
Just made my first visit to CareNow. The Web Check-in is great, so you dont have to go sit in waiting room for who knows how long. Shortly, after I completed web check-in, the called me and said there was not a wait so come now. Front desk nurse very pleasant and professional. After I filled out forms (there were not a lot) I was promptly put in exam room. Nurse took my vitals and med history and said MD would be there shortly - and he was. Dr. Miller was very thorough, professional and friendly. Overall GREAT Experience.
I chose this particular urgent care based on reviews and was not disappointed. Excellent staff, all friendly and very knowledgeable. I was in and out quickly but still with excellent care. Corinne at the front desk has my insurance approved before I arrived and Ashley (medical assistant) and Dr Miller asked plenty of questions and provided me with everything I needed. Highly professional. I will continue to visit this office.
I’ve had good experiences here but not today.Ive been potentially exposed to COVID-19 and have an underlying condition. I called the urgent care this morning, filled out the waiting list thing, at 1:45 got called to come in at 2:45, filled out the form and now that Im here and waited 15 minutes on hold, they said that its a 1.5hr wait and that they had walk ins come in and dont do appointments. So my whole day was wasted and now I’m stressing because I need to be somewhere at 5. Total BS check in system, do yourself a favor and just head to the clinic instead of letting them waste your time.
Dr. Seth T. Miller was very thorough, professional, & patiently answered all of my questions. The receptionist was very helpful when it came to checking my out of state insurance & the nurse was very compassionate. Even though the wait time felt long, I would highly recommend coming here if you have health concerns.
Overall, great visit. Fast friendly service and almost no wait. The doctor took time to answer all of my questions and made sure that I was completely taken care of before leaving. Even though the visit was about $20 more than another clinic in my area, I will be going back here because of the way I was treated and knowledge and care of the doctor and staff.
Went to CareNow for the first time to get a rapid covid test done for biz travel and was attended by Ms Vernice Aviles and Dr Seth Miller. Superb, professional service by everyone! You take care of most paperwork online prior to the appointment. Very efficient, minimal wait time and no crowding at the clinic! A special shout out to Vernice who was especially patient, kind and gentle with the nose swap!! :)
This place is great! Dr. Miller was very kind and easy to talk to. He asked all the right questions and was a great listener. The service was faster than what can be reasonably expected at a walk-in clinic, for sure. The staff was friendly, kind, empathetic, polite, and efficient, too.
All the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, from the front desk and x-ray tech to the nurse practitioner. Although I was there for more than an hour, Im not going to give them a bad review for that. Its unreasonable to go into any urgent care and expect to be out in 20 minutes. If it happens that way, great. I would definitely come back to this location.
From the receptionist answering my initial inquiry over the phone, to the skilled nurse and doctor who performed and oversaw my ear cleansing, I felt secure and at peace. Everyone was delightful, caring and professional. (I’m sorry I don’t remember names). I would recommend this clinic to anyone who has an urgent medical need.
This was my first time at this urgent care. I saw Dr. Miller and he was more than helpful! He was very understanding and incredibly nice. The facility is big and super clean. It makes me feel so good knowing there is a great dr right down the street from me. I will be back (hopefully not too soon) the next time I need something!
This facility has been our familys main source of PCP during the last year. The front staff is really nice, the medical staff is friendly, and the doctors and NPs are very knowledgeable. They are very realistic in thier diagnostic and treatment plans. Getting a covid test to get your kid back into school is super easy here.
My daughter and I had looked forward to driving across Texas to visit family for the holidays and we wanted to take a COVID-19 rapid test just to make sure. We were turned away repeatedly as we were not exposed and we had no symptoms. After calling Care Now Urgent Care the staff took really good care of us. They gave us directions, were courteous, professional, and warm. The test were given, we got the results quickly, and were advised on payment options. I recommend going to Care Now Urgent Care in Southwest Austin for your COVID-19 rapid tests and urgent medical care needs.
Called in advance to make an appointment. Gave specific symptoms and was told to come in. Once there, paperwork was filled out, and was called back. Vitals were taken, and and then was seen by the doctor. I was well received and my concerns were taken seriously. After getting lab work and a prescription to address symptoms, Im resting comfortably and will be waiting on lab results. Certainly the place to go if your primary physician is not open.
I love this place! Id rather go here instead of my primary care physician.Doctor Miller is very kind and professional. Ive seen him on two separate occasions both times he was through and patient. Connie at the front desk is very sweet and helpful. You can check-in onLine so you dont have to wait. I had to have an injection for my infection - Ashley was a pro. I did not feel the needle going in. i highly recommend this facility.
Used the online system to check in and it claimed that I would get a notification when it was time to head to the clinic. The next message I received was a request to leave a review because someone had checked me out without notice. Frustrating but seemingly a technical glitch with their system. The person who answered the phone was understanding and helpful. Ultimately I did not get it on the first day and will have to try first thing tomorrow morning.Follow-up - I was able to get in with no wait first thing in the morning and the staff and doctor were pleasant, courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and prompt. EXCELLENT EXPERIENCE!! I changed my rating to 5-stars. Everyone can have a system glitch in these days and times.
Very friendly and professional staff. Short waiting time. We are not from Austin, so went to CareNow Urgent Care after reading reviews online. I wish we could get this quality of service where we are from. I would go back or recommend to others without hesitation. THANK YOU to all of you who helped me today!
The staff and provider were great. However, on a corporate level there was a lack of transparency in policies. I went to their website which stated the clinic would conduct COVID testing. I saw no fee associated with this. I registered with the site for testing but when I arrived, instead of doing the testing as expected, I had been scheduled for a new patient visit. I did not need an exam, just testing which I stated when I called for an appointment. Because this clinic is designated as “Urgent Care” an additional fee can be added to the cost of a regular new patient visit which is not covered by insurance. Where the testing I had obtained previously was at no cost to me & I was not required to see a providermy insurance was charged for the visit plus I paid an additional Urgent Care co-pay. They also do not provide an itemized bill at check out.
The staff was friendly and attentive, even when several patients came in at once. The receptionist even got on the phone with my insurance to help me with a question. I was there for a UTI, and they allowed me to leave a urine sample before I was called back to a room. I will definitely go back if I need care and can’t get into my primary care!
I was in and out in less than a hour and I even had to do a treatment while I was there. They were very friendly, quick, responsive and helpful. Plus, the facilities are very well kept and clean. What more could you ask for while you are sick and in need? Would highly recommend.
Staff are well trained and extremely polite, the doctor took a long time to explain things to me (in words I could understand) and provided printed information that I could review once I got home. The clinic is extremely clean, well laid out and they even have a coffee station to get coffee if you do have to wait. I went on a Saturday morning and was the only patient there so of course there was no wait time. This place deserves the 5 stars.
Dr. Miller was awesome. I felt listened to and he was delightful to converse with. Nurse Mary was fast, friendly, and efficient. Portia at the front desk was welcoming and very patient with my questions. If ever I am in need again I will go here. Thank you for taking care of me!
Got taken care of! In house x ray was super nice too. Paperwork was brief and easy. My insurance made it really cheap, but even the cash price was super reasonable. Would definitely go again! Also had Dr. Miller, he was fantastic. Really thorough, funny, and professional. I had no doubts when I left.
Online Doctor was great, the whole process was great until I tried to pick up my prescription. Mary who answered the phone was extremely rude and kept talking over me without listening to what I have to say. May need some retraining. If not for Mary I would have given a 5 star review.
My GP didnt have an early appointment available today so I decided to try CareNow to get some meds for a suspected sinus infection and pink eye. This place has only been open 3 months according to the nurse that took my vitals. The building was so clean and beautiful. They had snacks and beverages available for patients. The staff was all very kind. I was treated by Dr Leila Williams and she had wonderful bedside manner and was very thorough. This is definitely the best urgent care close to me.
The staff is very kind and helpful. Special thanks to Dr. Miller. He is methodical, friendly, and compassionate. He made the correct diagnosis and prescribed the right medication. All this while being super friendly, funny, and patient. Like many other physicians, he doesnt rush through the appointment. He takes his time and makes sure to answer all the questions.
Was one of two in the waiting room and it still took almost 2 hours to be seen. Ive been trying to get ahold of this clinic regarding results for 5 days now and keep gettin put on hold or they lie to me and say they are going to email me what I need and it never shows up.. very rude on the phone as well.
Long wait! Front desk nice. Nurse who checked me was nice. Slightly disappointed that the doctor kept wanting to redfish about possibly having covid vs looking at my history and considering dehydration or blood pressure. She did finally get to the diagnose that I think is appropriate and prescribe meds.
Very clean! I used the web check-in and they texted me when I was next in line to be seen, which was awesome because i could wait at home and I didnt have to wait in the lobby for an hour to be seen. When I arrived, I checked in with the front desk and within a couple of minutes they called my name.
While the front staff could have been a bit friendlier, Dr Behbahani, the nursing staff and the LMRT on shift were pleasant and made this visit easy breezy. 2 chest X-rays and several prescriptions later, I was in and out within 45 minutes. Dr Behbahani was extremely attentive, thoughtful, compassionate, THOROUGH and even gave me a couple of good laughs in between coughs. If I am ever in need of urgent care again, I will drive out of the way to come back. Thankful for the healthcare staff working extra hours and remaining on the frontlines during this time, especially when they do it with a smile.
The receptionist is the worst. Customer service is not in her vocabulary. The place has the most covid fears I have ever seen. They should just close. Wear a mask. Touch a pen then place it somewhere else to be disinfected yet they ask you for your ID but they don’t disinfect it nor do they use gloves. Total hypocrites. If you are going to be so scared about covid then the entire process should be sterile. I mean she touched my ID with her bare hands likely dirty and infected. Hypocrites.
The staff took extra time and care even though I arrived right at closing time. I was in pain and a little goofy still from my bicycle crash. Even though I had not been there before, they treated me like I was their favorite patient. A completely pleasant experience!
I would highly recommend this urgent care when you’re in need. I checked in online and would have been helped with no wait upon arrival if there hadn’t been some confusion about my insurance which the receptionist was very helpful with. The Dr. Miller and staff were very friendly, efficient, and quick.
I am very impressed with this urgent care clinic! From the front desk staff to the provider, they are all very nice and professional. The facility is clean and well kept. The doctor listened to all my concerns, answered all my questions and not once did I feel rushed. I received a call the next day from Valerie to see how I was feeling. I will definitely go there again!
I had two distinctly different experienceshere tonight. I had lots of trouble hearing the nurse. Instead of her trying to make some effort to be heard, she continued to keep her distance across the room, not necessarily look at me, and would point to things rather than talk. Bizarre and Belittling!!Later the Physician’s Assistant came in!Warm, came right over and talked with me. I never once had trouble hearing her.And she was right on target about what I needed and made sure I got it. A 5-Star Experience with her!! (Shiloh Behbahani, PA.) Extraordinary competent, Warm & Caring, Makes Strong Connections. So grateful to have worked with her.
Just left this clinic and the service was great. I was lucky because the clinic was empty. It only took a few minutes to get called in after I had completed all the paperwork. Dr. Miller, Mary (the MA/practice manager), and the front desk person (which i dont know how to spell her name ) were all super friendly. I really felt like Mary and Dr. Miller listened to me. I would recommend this place and come back again.
I returned here because i remembered my experience being a good one. This time was terrible. The lack of communication between the nurse and myself was unsettling. The doctor seemed to be in a major rush and didnt explain much at all to me. When the last lady haded me the discharge paperwork she ran out. I got confused walking out and instead of getting up to help me out she just yelled maam and pointed at the way out like Im some simpleton. I wont be back.
Yesterday I went to CareNow Urgent Care suspecting kidney stones. The staff were professional and kind. The physician, Dr. Miller spent time with me not only to understand what was going on but also to explain the treatment and the all possible directions this could go. I highly recommend them, just as my friend recommended them to me.Bonnie
I chose CareNow because I saw it had a 5-star rating here. Now I know why, and can add my own 5-star rating. Every staff member was super friendly, impeccably professional, and empathetic. Every typical doctor-visit step went efficiently, with no more than 2 minutes between them. Dr. Miller listened fully to me, gave an attentive exam, reassured me with the diagnosis, and explained everything at exactly the level I needed. I arrived in a panic, and left with great relief. Five stars for sure!
I cant say enough great things about my experience last Saturday! I have already told co-workers and friends about the outstanding service I received from Dr. Miller and his team last Saturday, but I feel like a Yelp Review would help anyone deciding if they should try this place or not. So my answer....GO! I never get sick (I havent been to a dr in years). But on Saturday, I woke up extremely sick and in a lot of pain. I randomly chose CareNow and I am so thankful. There was a less than 5 minute wait time, everyone was very friendly and Dr. Miller even had me laughing (he has jokes) even when I had tears streaming down my face with pain. I was probably in and out within 30-40 minutes. And by the time I got to my pharmacy, less than 10 minutes away, my medication was waiting on me. I love this place and the team! Highly recommend!
Great experience. I did the web checkin and then when I got there around 4:15pm on a Saturday I just waited 5 minutes or less. Dr. Miller was helpful and friendly and made me lol. Was in and out quickly with the prescriptions I needed and a big long printed handout with info about my injury.
No protocol to separate suspected coronavirus patients from anyone else. No preliminary COVID questions. Tons of coughing and sneezing from staff. Took nearly two hours to be seen from when I checked in ….. don’t come here unless you want to leave with more than you came with.
This place is a very respectful welcoming place it’s very well organized and clean, the staff are very respectful with nice manners from the moment you walk in to the moment you leave your treated with respect. This place is better then any other hospital/clinic/ER I have ever been.
Coming in I was welcomed and promptly given my paperwork and tablet to complete my portion on the visit. The MA/Nurse who brought me back and took my vitals was super welcoming and attentive and really seemed to care. The NP? Who came in for an evaluation genuinely seemed concerned about my issue and wellbeing moving forward. Now for my removal of a star. The tablet was very dirty and grimy and should be wiped down with a cavi-wipe between uses. The phlebotomist was very dry with zero personality. She didnt seem to like her job just by her demeanor. After drawing my blood she gave me a cotton ball with no instructions and caused a blowout of my vein (painful and messy). And was just overall unbecoming of a medical professional.Ive worked in the medical field for over 7 years and know how nervous patients get and try my best to comfort them. All in all, good experience
Needed a chest x-ray. They didnt have an x-ray tech around. They told me to go to my primary physician. But my doctor is booked two weeks in advance just for a video consult and suggested I see an urgent care facility. Seems they cant fill the role I thought they were supposed to.
Suuuuper kind doctor and staff! I went in to get tested for Covid and I was very anxious but the doctor made me feel much better about it all. I will say it took over an hour from the time I went into the room to actually get tested, so I would make sure to block out a chunk of your day. I didn’t mind waiting because I know these fearless doctors and nurses are so busy right now. Thank you Carenow!
Waited for over 2 hours to sit in a room for 35 mins before being seen. The front desk does not do any triage or even ask you why you are there. I had a full-blown migraine, a horrific ear infection and a fever over 101.I could not keep the tears from running down my face. The nurse took my bp and temp and did not share that info with me, I had to ask. She kept coming in and flipping on the light before I knew she was there. Like daggers through the eyes, to ask me how I was doing. The only saving grace was the Dr. She was kind and compassionate. She apologized for the staff who did not inform her of my level of pain. I had a shot of pain killer in 3 mins followed buy an antibiotic shot.Im truly surprised at how the office was run. Cold, uncaring, push them through as they checked off the people that registered online.I will not return to this facility. Id rather go to an ER and pay extra than have to sit through that agony again.
Very clean but they kept pushing me to get a covid test even though I came in with an ear infection. I was asked three times if I wanted to test for covid...and it was continuously pushed even though I had no signs (no fever, chest congestion, runny or stuffy nose or shortness of breath). I feel is if they wanted my test to be positive to collect money. Sad times!
Aside from one medical assistant in a bad mood, everyone here is so nice. I love the doctors here - Dr Brader and Dr Miller are prenominal. I have been dealing with some confusing medical issues and they have done everything to try and figure out whats going on. When they wanted me to go to the ER and I said no, I cant afford that, they figured out a work around so I could get tests I needed without going straight to the ER. I wish this was my regular doctor and not an urgent care. I never have to wait longer than ten minutes, either. Highly recommend!PS - Im laughing at the people who are complaining about getting a bill after their service. Thats how your insurance works. You pay a co-pay and are billed later for remaining balances after insurance has decided what it will pay. This isnt the fault of urgent care, this is this you not understanding your own insurance policy. Maybe I expect too much competency from people, who knows :)
Great service receptionist was friendly & quickly processed me. The wait was ok just a little bit of too much waiting in between being triaged by MAs before seeing the Dr. on duty. I know there was a patient before me so I wasn’t super impatient. The total time from check in to check out was about 1hr. Also, you can check in online which is amazing for me. The overall service was great from check in until departure. They also have snacks & hot drinks for the patients. I would definitely recommend & revisit hopefully I won’t in I happen to be in the Austin area again.
I wish every doctor’s visit was as pleasant as this one. I honestly wish the doctor (blonde, female.. feel bad I can’t remember her name) was my primary. I came in scared and embarrassed to talk about my symptom (which turned out to be nothing and I was overreacting) and I was made to feel so comfortable and approached with zero judgement. She talked me down and gave me a (non?)diagnosis explaining fully and ensuring I understood. It could not have been a more pleasant experience. There was quite a wait, but definitely worth it.
This UC facility was GREAT! They were efficient and I got in quickly, but most importantly they were compassionate and thoughtful about treatment options for my rare condition. I wasnt able to function last night when I went in, and the injections helped me enough that I was able to drive back home to Richmond/Houston area this morning!
Sadly disappointed. There was an empty waiting room but I waited about an hour to be called. Even the receptionist said she didnt know why the nurse was taking so long to call me back. The nurse was looking up how to take orthostatic vitals in front of me because she said she didnt know how long I had to be lying down. No one wore gloves. The nurse took off her mask when she came back even though she was coughing and said she was sick. The xray tech/ phlebotomist discharged me and didnt even go over my instructions. I was given a paper to get my labs done somewhere else. Overall, a waste of time and money. Everyone looks confused and didnt seem very knowledgeable. I was polite and patient, so that was extremely disappointing.

2022-04-03I waiting in the lobby for an hour. Had a strep test done. “It will only be a 15 minute wait” over an hour later I had to go find the doctor to find out what was going on. Only to be answered with “we are very busy with lots of patients” This is the picture I took of the waiting room on the way out. It was the same way when we come in. Very rarely leave reviews but would definitely recommend another location. Upon exit my discharge paperwork did not reflect the symptoms of what I told them.

2022-06-04I used the online check-in to largely skip waiting, which was so helpful having my daughter with me - we waited comfortably at home until it was closer to time for our turn in line. Everyone was so attentive, truly listened and asked great questions, and even made my daughter laugh during the visit/ included her. They provided treatment options and it felt really collaborative and I felt genuinely cared for. I highly recommend this practice!

2022-06-30I arrived earlier than I was supposed to by 40 minutes. They saw me early and I appreciate that they could save me time to be able to do my next appointment. Staff from front desk to young lady who gathered my vitals to the covering dr of the facility, we’re very pleasant and helpful. I have several appointments scheduled again for this facility and I know each one will be great based on my first visit. Thanks everyone at CareNow.

2022-07-24Went in due to a cut on my hand that ended up needing stitches. The doctor on duty, Chad, was very knowledgeable and professional when it came to caring for the cut.The staff was very nice and welcoming and I was in and out in no time. Chad knew what he was doing and went above and beyond when sewing my hand back into place. Overall a great experience in a bad moment but highly recommend going here due to to their expertise. Wouldn’t choose another place and you shouldn’t either!

2022-08-18I have used the online check-in at this location twice now to skip the wait and the process was very smooth. I received a text to head to the clinic, signed in, and was seen within 5 minutes or so. The front desk staff, nurses, and Dr. Schwartz were very attentive/friendly and made sure to address any concerns I had. I highly recommend this practice!

2022-07-09Had to come in to get my knee checked out and everyone was super nice. This was my second time at this location and the wait wasnt bad. Im not a big fan of going to the doctor so everyone being super kind really helps with my anxiety. Doc came to check me out and do the things and I was on my way with a good game plan to get me back to normal.

2022-05-12I cannot praise this place enough. I had been refused service at a different urgent care company for not having an appointment, and was emotional about it because I was in a lot of pain. After signing up online for CareNow in the parking lot of the other place on a whim, I received a text from CareNow and then a wonderful angel of a human being (Joy) called and kindly explained that I could fully check in through the link they sent me, and then I’d receive a time to come in. I was at the point where I was going to give up trying to reach out for help today, but she was SO warm and understanding, I decided to give today one more try, and I’m so glad I did. Not only was she amazing, every single person I came into contact with was professional, kind/friendly, patient, and knowledgeable. I am so grateful for the people who work here. If not for them, I would have given up and continued suffering with these symptoms for the foreseeable future.

2022-08-21Went for excruciatingly painful pharyngitis because I missed my PCP’s after-hours clinic by a couple of hours. Used the very convenient online check-in - I really liked that option. Front desk & nursing staff were nice and efficient. After they called me into a room, I still had to wait about an hour to see the physician. But when he finally came, it was clear that he had been extremely busy. Dr Miller was kind, listened well to my complaints, and clarified my issues with some good questions. He was attentive and answered a couple of my questions about possible treatments. And he was proactive about finding a pharmacy that could fill my prescriptions that I needed late on a Saturday night. I left feeling confident about my diagnosis and treatment plan. And I was impressed with his bedside manner, knowledge, and care. Only reason for not giving 5 stars is the long wait.

2022-08-17Just want to say that my experience with Lindsay (sorry if spelt wrong) has been my best doctors experience yet. She actually listened to my symptoms and concerns, was compassionate, and knew how to admit if she didn’t know the answer and outsource others. I appreciated this over being written off or given a diagnosis that didn’t seem right. Keep doing a great job and being a great human 🤎

2022-05-09We were able to register online and received a text when we could proceed to the clinic so the check in process was smooth. The provider did not listen to hear symptoms and talked over the patient. Fortunately, our PCP took an after-hours call and said not to pick up the antibiotics prescribed by Urgent Care as it was way too strong and very expensive. Our PCP prescribed 3 appropriate medications for the eye injury when Urgent Care prescribed one. Most distressing was provider telling the patient that he spent too much time on the “paperwork” and wouldn’t answer any questions. That is unacceptable medical care. Office staff efficient and kind, provider sub-par.
