A beautiful use of space. The Grass is long gone and replaced with astro turf. Great drainage and always ready to be played on. Even better, around the odd shaped fields is another track. it is all the recycled rubberized material that is nice on your body. Issue though is the vast majority of the running loop is NOT flat. So you are constantly running at an angle even though you are going straight. The location also has bathrooms. Everything you need to do you track workout and stay out of most of the sun as the trees around the edge are old and well maintained.See you running here soon.

2021-07-28Great for students and visitors. Evening matches are a fun and cool way to spend time with friends. People will often join you with whatever thing you were playing (Soccer, for example). Parking is not that expensive, and I think after certain hours is free, need to check again.

2022-04-24Nice place to get some outdoor exercise on the University of Texas campus. Has turf lacrosse field, running track, a set of outdoor exercise equipment, and water fountains.

2022-05-27The Running track is amazing. It is so nice for people they have knee pain. The air is cold during the night and there is good blowing of air this place is good for doing sport.

2019-04-26Good track (I think 5 laps is a mile), parallel bars, monkey bars, pull-up bar, lots of field, lockers for your stuff, a hill to run up, and plenty of eye candy as shirtless is the way to be here on UT campus. Youre supposed to have a Recsports membership, but not seemingly strictly enforced as Ive seen many private trainers here and 1 min wage student staff is all that is to enforce membership, who dont know the difference between employees and people claiming to just be working out together. Lights off when the field is closed, but you arent kicked off and still enough light to workout.

2022-01-05Been there twice. Saw puke on the ground only once lol. Has lots of good equipment!

2018-01-05A true hidden gym on campus... very large, clean, and super high quality synthetic turf field much larger than a football field. It is a first-class location to work out with a padded running track and outdoor gym equipment.

2016-09-04Awesome place to workout, go for a run, or gather with friends (or even strangers) to play sports; mostly soccer and football. During weekends its usually crowded, but that doesnt mean you cant join one of the groups and meet new people while playing your favorite sport.

2016-01-02Good place to get in some lunch time exercise. But its not well shaded and it has a lot of Astroturf that gets very hot, very quickly. I wouldnt recommend this as a primary exercise location, but its great as a secondary when you just dont have that much time to commit to a workout.

2016-03-15Great recreational complex located right on campus. The (synthetic) grass field accommodates a wide range of sports, and there are always pick-up games taking place. A track and exercise stations allow for other types of workouts if playing ball sports arent your thing. Nearby Waller Creek and the surrounding trees make you feel closer with nature. The 444 yard, non-oval shaped track is my biggest complaint as a runner wishing for a normal track. Additionally, during peak hours and special events, the track may be blocked by walkers/spectators.
