The lodging was beautiful and the staff very accommodating. Perfect weekend getaway or all inclusive wedding venue !Christopher, scott, lyndsay, and ripple were wonderful! So helpful and constantly checking in on us. My wedding here was exactly how i had hoped it would go !
Stayed here overnight while on a business trip. The setting was beautiful! Truly wish that I had the opportunity to stay longer to take advantage of the surroundings. The staff that greeted us was friendly and very accommodating, including providing us with customized breakfast to go in the morning.
First off, I want to thank the staff at Cedar Cove Ranch. Everyone from making the reservations to the guides were very professional and extremely hospitable. They all made my stay one that I will never forget. This was my first ever hog hunt and it definitely wont be my last. The ranch is absolutely beautiful, clean and private. I got there early and had some time to walk around the property and enjoy the 25 acre lake. I took a ton of pictures and shared them with my family and friends. My guides, Eric and David, were spectacular and really wanted my experience to be amazing. They helped me harvest my first ever hog and a second one too!!!I truly recommend Cedar Cove Ranch for anybody wanting to hunt or just relax with friends and family. You will not be disappointed and like me, you will make plans to go back.Well, I went back again, two weeks after my first hunt, and it was better than I expected. I am now two for two in harvesting hogs. The one I got last night was in the rain and the guides, Eric and David, were great getting me my shot. The guides work for you and want to make sure you have every opportunity to make a shot. They are constantly checking the game cams to see where the hogs are moving next. Eric is an expert photographer as well so you have memories of your hunt to show your friends.Book a stay and have fun!
We purchased the destination wedding package, and included rental of the Lakeview Lodge.Cedar Cove Ranch & Resort exceeded our expectations throughout the entire experience. Ripple, Arlen and the entire staff were so welcoming and accommodating. All the vendors included in our package went above and beyond to provide excellent service throughout our wedding day.We have received nothing but two thumbs up from our family and friends. Fishing with Bryant was so peaceful, and full of great stories.Cedar Cove Ranch and Resort has turned our perfect wedding dream into memories that will last a lifetime.*****Sincerely,Mr. & Mrs. Stump
Our family of 13 had a wonderful time at Cedar Cove Ranch. There were no surprises as everything was exactly as presented except it did not mention how nice the staff and owners were going to be, so helpful. My grandchildren became avid fishermen after they caught 20+ each. We lucked out with perfect weather which added to our love of this place. We will be back!
Everything, from the planning to the amazing guys who treated my grandson like a young man and the adventures retreat relaxation, beauty and yes the birthday cake for his sweet 16 if you want to escape for awhile its perfection start to finish thankyou all so much! Ever grateful Marie and Phoenix
Cedar Cove Ranch & Resort was a beautiful and comfortable property for our office retreat. We certainly enjoyed the convenience of being on the lake and the privacy of having our portion of the lake to ourselves. The ranch hands and staff are very personable and took such great care of our group. We look forward to coming back soon!
We had our family Reunion here, it was perfect. The ranch is so peaceful and relaxing. The staff, Luther and Cloe, were attentive, accommodating, informative, and make our long weekend easy and comfortable. Every detail was perfect and with a party of 12 that is hard to do! Our family enjoyed the boat, did some fishing, swam and floated in the lake, it was exhilarating. Excellent job, Cedar Cove Ranch! I highly recommend enjoying the ranch and all it has to offer!
From the moment I walked into the barn almost two years ago I fell in love with everything. It was everything I had imagine and more. Not only was this our wedding venue but we had the chance on renting both cabins for our families and bridal party to stay for the weekend and it was wonderfully perfect. It was the perfect gateway during the pandemic. Our wedding coordinator Lauren was truly a blessing as she was able to complete the look I had imagined. The vendors they work with were absolutely wonderful and I would have not changed anything. The fajita bar is HIGHLY recommended, so much food and its extremely delicious. The owner Ripple was able to work with us as we had to reschedule our April wedding for a later date due to us traveling but it all worked out.Highly recommend this venue for any destination bride like myself who wants a place that almost has everything you need and more :)
This ranch truly is beautiful! The lodges have stunning views, and this is really a sportsmans dream. Saw plenty of whitetail deer while I was out hog hunting, and killed a really nice sow! The Ranch Manager, Jon is a phenomenal hunting guide, and the owners Ripal and Arlan are very helpful and courteous. Truly recommend this place for hunting trips, weekend get-aways, corporate retreats, or a wedding! Their barn for the wedding is very spacious and has a very rustic decorum. Cedar Cove Ranch is its own little paradise, only an hour or so from Dallas. Highly recommend this place!
The level of care and hospitality was incredible. Every step of planning our trip was extremely easy. The amount of wildlife we saw both from the lodge and during our guided tour around the ranch was incredible. Our family is really looking forward to our reservation for the summer, I am personally looking forward to fishing in their stocked trophy lake. I have already recommended CCR to friends and family for future events.
Had a great time w family men hunting hogs & walking the property. The hogs were scarce but Eric & David were great, personable & made every effort to make it a success- that’s the way hunting goes sometimes. The facilities are first rate & Bryant made himself available to cater to any needs. Thinking about reserving for our large family gathering!
The private lake is fantastic!! We loved having access to the kayaks and canoe for fishing and also a boat to pull the kids around for tubing. The property is beautiful, the privacy and serenity provided a wonderful escape from the suburbs. The bass fish here are bigger than anything we have ever seen, our family caught numerous 7-10lb bass, right off the dock! Fun experience.
Cedar Cove Ranch is a beautiful ranch! We went out for a hog hunting weekend (4 gents) to celebrate a good buddies 50th. Unfortunately, no one saw any hogs, even on the thermal hunt. That being said, Eric was a great guide and we did appreciate all his efforts. I would most definitely recommend Cedar Cove Ranch.
Our Rustic Fairytale WeddingI absolutely CANNOT say enough about Cedar Cove Ranch…. The property is beautiful and everyone involved truly made my dream wedding a reality (even in midst of tornado warnings!). I could write a book about how amazing our experience was, but I’ll try to keep it as short and sweet as possible. We stayed in both of the cabins on the property for 5 nights with our wedding party and parents. Their property manager, Josh, was super nice and readily available for any activities we wanted to do and any needs, questions, or concerns we had. Their event planners, Vanessa and Paul, were absolutely incredible! We took most of the afternoon on Friday before rehearsal talking about plans A, B, and C for rain moving in. They took care of all the setup for the rehearsal dinner at the Hitching Post and then the day of the wedding met all of the vendors and organized the entire setup of the ceremony and reception. Unfortunately, it stormed ALL day with not one but TWO tornado warnings!! With that being said, they (along with my florist and caterer) created the most beautiful ceremony and reception site- it really was more beautiful that I could have ever imagined! It was truly a rustic fairytale wedding and I absolutely cannot thank them enough! I would HIGHLY recommend Cedar Cove Ranch to anyone looking for a beautiful rustic wedding venue with people who care just as much as you do in making your wedding a dream come true.
We stayed this past weekend at Grand Chateau. It has beautiful views just from the edge of the lake with big windows. The owners check on you whether you need anything. It can comfortably sleep 10 (sharing the full size beds), more would need rollover beds or mattresses on the floor. Fireplace inside cannot be used but there is a good sized fire pit with sitting area outside plus gas and coal grill. Amenities are also all you need. There is a 2.5 mile hiking trail around the lake. They also offer a lot of activities like archery, fishing, canoeing, horseback riding.
CCR was my wedding venue and I dont have words to explain how magical everything was. From the crew that helps us on everything we need to the venue itself. It was amazingly beautiful and I totally recommend this place for any event! The people there went above and beyond for us. Special thanks to Ashton, the coordinator. She was into every detail!! :D
Seems like a great place for an event or retreat. Very nice and beautiful lake.NOT GOOD for hog hunting. 4 hunters and did not see even 1 pig, even with the added fee of a night vision hunt. Guides were very nice but i just dont think this place is set up for successful hog hunts.Weddings YesHog hunts NO.Hunting blinds are very basic but cost is very premium. Catered meals were always late. Lodging was lacking. And communication with Owner (Arlen) was extremely disappointing.I had high hopes for this place and was looking forward to a long relationship with myself & my clientele... but Cedar Cove just fell way short.
My husband and I had our wedding ceremony and reception at the beautiful Cedar Cove Ranch on Oct 11th of this year and we couldn’t be happier. Our pictures turned out amazing, the staff was phenomenal (shoutout to Cassie and Matt!) and our guests couldn’t stop talking about how gorgeous the location was! We stayed for two nights at the Grand Chateau. Will be back soon so that we can try out fishing and hiking at the ranch. Cannot wait!!!
My buddies and I spent an day fishing at Cedar Cove Ranch and had an absolute blast. The owner, Arlan, was a phenomenal host, and its clear to see his passion for creating a special experience. The fishing itself was tough to beat. On what Arlan considered a slower day we still caught 20+ between the three of us, with 6 over 5lbs. Our largest weighed in at 7.6! The lake is perfect size for a days worth of fishing, and its all productive. For the discerning fisherman, Cedar Cove Ranch is pretty special water.
Cedar Cove Ranch is really an adventure of a lifetime! The ranch is quiet, relaxing, beautiful and so much fun. Thank you Jon, you treated us like royalty! We enjoyed boat power tubing, UTV guided ride and the guided night hike. Also this is a beautiful venue for a wedding. We will most definitely be back. Thanks again Jon!
To start off the venue is beautiful and we were super excited to get married over the lake. As luck would have it the day of the wedding it was raining so it was moved to the back deck. Even with the move it was gorgeous. You would of never guessed that wasn’t our first choice! Chloe our wedding coordinator was very attentive to details and took all the stress out of the wedding day. Luther was an awesome guide for pig hunting and was there to run errands on the wedding day all over the property to get the last minute things gathered up. The vendors they picked for us were above and beyond what we had hoped for. Garrick the DJ was very upbeat and kept the party going all night. We went with the bbq as our meal of choice which is a sacred thing in Texas and it did not disappoint! Even with as amazing as those vendors were Shannon with Tall Cotten Photography was definitely the icing on the cake! We had her do an engagement shoot to be able to meet her before the wedding and right away knew she was perfect for us. She captured our love with every photo!Just get married here you won’t regret it!The Needhams
I had my wedding at Cedar Cove Ranch and I cant imagine a more beautiful venue!! I didnt need many decorations because the venue by itself was PERFECT! Whenever you are out there it is incredibly calm and serene. The perfect get away! The owners and staff go above and beyond to make sure your time there is amazing!
This ranch is the perfect place for big or small gatherings. 2 days are not enough to maximize your stay due to the numerous activities that you can do topped with the serenity and beautiful scenery you are presented. The cabins are all up to date with beautiful details layering the entire house. During our stay, we did not have any issues with the facilities and it was well maintained and clean all throughout. The most important factor in this resort is the team behind it.Ripple was very accomodating and made sure that our group is able to have fun, bond, and create lasting memories. She has constructed a package for us that fitted our budget and maximize the facilities at the same time.Arlan stayed on top of everything during our stay and attended to our needs to make certain that we are comfortable and everyone in our team was safe and are having fun. He was open to entertaining unplanned addition to activities while at the same time adhering to the overall schedule of activities, his efficiency was impeccable.Josh and Brian were very friendly and assisted our group all throughout. From the first night to our last day, they were very instrumental in setting a friendly and welcoming environment to fulfill the groups needs. Our overall experience was flawless. Beautiful place alongside wonderful hosts makes this place such a memorable one.
My brother in law and I visited CCR for a Hog hunting trip last week. Firstly, the ranch is absolutely gorgeous with a huge lake stocked with largemouth bass and all sorts of pan fish. The accommodations were very clean and well maintained. Arlen, the owner and his crew made sure we were very comfortable and were never in need of anything. In between hunts, we were set up with fishing tackle to fish the lake. I actually caught a 9lb 4oz largemouth bass! The property is huge and mostly wooded with trails all over, baited with corn to help with accomplishing a successful hunt. John, who is Arlens ranch manager was our guide and since it was my brother in laws first hunt, took him under his wing and guided him one on one for the entirety of the hunt. John was awesome and set us up in all the best locations.Unfortunately, it turned out to be a very warm 3 days and the hogs went deep into the brush, no matter how much bait was out there. We heard them all over and saw plenty of tracks but never got sights on one. Such is hunting free range. Sometimes youre successful, sometimes not. Its the experience of the chase that counts. Arlen, even set us up for a complimentary night hunt to help us get a hog. Even when we only saw one hog, (it was still very warm) what an experience! (Unfortunately we both missed the shot) It was incredibly exciting and a great workout walking the trails! A shout out to John again and his new ranch hand Keenan for guiding us on that hunt using night vision and optics. It was all so cool! All in all, it was a great hunt, even though we didnt bag a hog. A huge thanks to Arlen and John for making it so memorable. We will definitely be going back again!
I had my first small business retreat at Cedar Cove. The staff was very attentive and the description was exactly what we hoped for. With 10 beds not counting the rollaways, everyone was able to have their own bed to sleep in. Beautiful scenery and enjoyed a hike in the morning. Furniture was very comfortable for us to get some meeting time in together. Reception was spotty which was very helpful for all of us to unplug.
Took a group of 7 high school students for a weekend away. We really enjoyed the property. Only downside is if you have stay at the Grand Chateau and someone else rents the other property, it felt like we lost our privacy when the other group went to the dock. The dock is next to the Grand Chateau house and for the people staying at the other property to get to the dock, they park right in front of the Grand Chateau or they walk right by it. Also, I would say the dock starts to get a little crowded if you have more than about 5 people fishing from it at a time. Overall experience was good and i would go back.
We had our team building and staff development at Cedar Cove Ranch yesterday and i’m not quite sure where to start. The owners ( Arlan and Ripple) were amazing, friendly and helpful from the minute we started booking until the end of our event. The staff accommodation was fabulous and the location is perfect as it’s not too far away from the city yet far enough to be fully captivated by its beauty.Arlan and Steve were incredibly friendly and helpful throughout the day, Arlan the owner of the ranch, trained our staff on gun safety and disc shooting. He and Steve also stayed with us the majority of our time there to ensure everything was running smoothly and that we were having a great time. This was truly an amazing experience, everything from the great customer service to the beautiful scenery. We are looking forward to our next event there soon!
We chose Cedar Cove Ranch for our wedding. The venue itself is absolutely amazing. We rented both the Grand Chateau and the Whitetail Lodge for hosting our immediate family. Ripal, Arlan, Erika, Nate and the rest of the staff ensured that everything we needed was there for us.Ripal makes you feel like you are family to her. Every time I was there visiting previous to the wedding we had someone there to help us and ensure we were taken care of. Again, I cannot stress enough that she ensured every detail was taken care of.Both lodges are incredibly well appointed. My guests felt like they were in a fairy tale. We needed very little decorations to make the green areas look like a dream. I just cant believe that right here in Texas there is a place as pretty as Cedar Cove Ranch.I cannot thank enough everyone at Cedar Cove Ranch for their willingness to help us make our special day priceless. If it can be done, Cedar Cove will make it happen for you.
The house is beautiful and the hosts are friendly and wonderfully accommodating. This was the second year in a row our group of friends got together here and we really enjoyed our stay (again). The kitchen has double ovens, a good size range for cooking, and there is a grill outside. There are tons of cooking utensils available, and it appears by the foods left in the cabinet that pancakes are a popular breakfast. (Can you tell I was the cook for the get together?) The bedrooms are all decently sized and there are several bathrooms and showers to handle larger groups. We really enjoyed our stay and will be back next year.
Cedar Cove Ranch was the end of our search. Each year I lead a group of 21 guys to play golf in east Texas and the ranch we use to stay at was sold in the last year. I was so lucky to find CCR! The staff was great to work with, flexible, accommodating, and patient with all my questions. When we arrived everything was as described and the accommodations were beautiful. Our group loved this place and cant wait to return each year!
Show up sighted in cause there’s plenty of game regardless of your package, we’re going back next year with out a doubt.Bryan and David took real good care of us, taught me a lot in just two days. They worked hard all weekend to make sure we could harvest & be well fed.
We stayed at Cedar Cove Ranch for 2 days and 2 nights for a corporate retreat. We had a group of 16 adults stay overnight at the Grand Chateau and Whitetail Lodge. The property is absolutely beautiful! The homes are newer and having the private lake was definitely the biggest plus for us. The GC has 4BR, 4.5BA and WL has 3BR, 3BA. Make sure you are clear on the bedding set up if you are coming with a larger group, the homes both offer rollaway cots which are counted in the advertised number of beds. We loved the game/media room utilizing the media set-up as our training/meeting space and the outdoor patio for making smores in the fire pit and watching our outdoor movie. We enjoyed several of the paid activities (outdoor movie, watercraft, rafting/tubing and outdoor shooting) and loved each of them. The stars are very bright and made our stargazing at night an amazing experience. I would highly recommend you take advantage of the various activity offerings to make the stay more special. Matt (the ranch manager) and John (ranger?) were both super pleasant and made our stay extra special.Aside from the active construction next door to GC (remodeling of a cabin to become a lodge), we loved everything about our stay. Thank you Ripple, Arlan and company for sharing your slice of Texas heaven.
We were blown away by our experience at this chateau. We had a group of 10 people at this home for a surprise 30th birthday party over the weekend and it couldnt have gone better! Ripal was very prompt in answering all my questions during the planning period so it went off without a hitch. The house is right on the lake with a beautiful view of the water. Inside the chateau was gorgeously updated and very clean. The house included a full kitchen, stand-alone ice maker, charcoal and gas grill to fit all of our cooking needs. If you plan to bring a lot of drinks I would recommend to bring some coolers so you dont use up the refrigerator space. The Ranch Manager, Nate, was so incredibly helpful throughout our entire stay. He answered all of our questions and even was able to bring us some sugar when we ran out while making the birthday cake! The location of the cabin was great because we were far enough out to escape the city but close enough so that if we really needed to go somewhere it was possible. We had such a great time out on the water and with all the activities that we didnt ever leave! I would definitely plan another trip here. It served our needs for a place to have a fun birthday party one night followed by a nice relaxing day out on the water with a calm night by the campfire. We had it all! The lake was such a great size because it was big enough to explore a little on the watercrafts but small enough so that I didnt worry about losing someone out there. The water was the perfect temperature for a refreshing swim. Next time I would stay longer than one weekend and take advantage of some of the other activities offered by Cedar Cove Ranch Resort.
Stayed at the Grand Chateau house with a group of friends. The house is amazing- beautiful on the inside with a lot of sleeping, fun game room with TV/ping pong/foosball, nice large open kitchen, personal lake and a great fire pit (my favorite part). The property staff were super friendly and very helpful- we were burning through some major firewood and they ventured out into the cold to keep our inventory up. If you are looking to get away this is a perfect place to do so. Between the stellar property, beautiful log cabin home, friendly property staff, and management pre/post visit being very nice and helpful- our stay was an all around great experience. Highly recommended!
I did the night hog hunt had a great time and felt safe. My Guide Matt Allgood helped me all the way up into it was time to shoot he knew what he was doing he knew the layout of the land without light. Enjoyed talking and laughing with him. Make sure you are in shape it is a lot of walking but none the least it’s all Worth it when you see them big piggies and it’s show time🎥 I so can’t wait to book my next hunt I would love for Matt to be my guide....
I would think long and hard about going here. This one is tough for me as I understand times are tough for everyone, businesses included but I think the way CCR is handling this could be much much better. I am posting the email I sent them recently.I wanted to write to you as a member of the group that unfortunately cannot make our reservation this weekend.I received your email this morning with a bit of shock. To offer a credit in the amount of only 50% and within a short 90 days felt like a slap in the face. As you surely have heard this outbreak is likely to last well past then, as the President stated it yesterday it could be well into August. We paid ahead for both a hunting package, and activities package. You will be providing none of these and none of this will cost you any money. It would be only fair to at a minimum return the hunting AND activities package fees. On the other side I believe it would only be fair of us to accept the loss of the lodging as we understand these are difficult times and though it will hurt us as well.We are choosing not to travel both for our own health, but yours as well. I am sure in these times you would not want to be around a large group of people like us. As you know that would risk your health as much as ours.Of course we know that it is tough right now for businesses as it is you must see for individuals like myself ( a teacher who may soon be without pay). Now I understand you have no legal obligation to refund us or even offer a FULL credit within a reasonable time period, it seems to me it would be the HUMAN AND DECENT thing to do and is being done by thousands of people and businesses across the country right now even though it is difficult. Even in our small group numerous other small and large businesses alike have been willing to refund other reservations. Not because it is the legal thing to do, but because it is the RIGHT thing to do.Thank you for your time.
Went on a hog hunting trip with Matt and he put us right on some pigs he’s very experienced and knows exactly what he’s doing wish I could give more than a 5 star rating I will definitely be back to do more hunts out here. If you’re looking for a great hunting experience I highly recommend this place and ask for Matt!

2022-02-02I found this Gem of a Ranch 5 years ago as I traveled from Minnesota to Texas in search of a Wild Hog Hunt. Arlan the owner answered the call and a life long friendship was forged! I have returned at least once a year bringing friends and family with me. We have always been treated like family. Every aspect of our trips have been above and beyond expectations. The hunting guides are top notch and work hard to help with a harvest. Every time I return I see that the owners and crew are always doing major improvements to the property and services to accommodate guests to enjoy their stay no matter the reason for the stay, relaxation, hunting, fishing, family gathering or business retreats, to the wedding venues ! They work hard to make sure every guest is treated like they are royalty ! We look forward to our next trip !

2022-04-27We hosted our Womens Health Boutique Managers Leadership Retreat at Cedar Cove Ranch this week and cannot give enough stars to the entire crew. The entire property is fabulous - spectacular views, exquisite accommodations overlooking the lake, excellent service from the entire staff, and great team building activities such as our Guided Night Hike, and Movie under the Stars. Ben Finley was the best. He took care of every detail as we planned our retreat and even made sure we had some special touches that only us women might appreciate. Lyndsay was fabulous in helping us with the last-minute details of planning, layout, accommodations, and meals. Scott and Chris were always available to help us with any need we had throughout our event. We all want to go back for a quiet, beautiful, inspiring weekend getaway! Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping us inspire our Womens Health Boutique managers to be Leader of Character as we make a positive difference in the way women look and feel about themselves.

2022-05-27This resort was perfect for our family vacation! From the little kids to the big kids…there was something for everyone. We did the shooting range, jeep rides, archery, canoe races, tubing behind a powered boat, and just relaxing at the fire pit with s’mores! Corn hole and horseshoes filled the gaps in between. And the food! Delivered at every meal time with a great variety of menu items. No dishes to wash. Wow! Thanks to all the staff for making this a superb time!!

2022-01-12It is a beautiful place. I am an 81 year old woman and I use a walker all the time. The facility was not handicap accessible. Yes, there was a ramp but it was wooden and uneven. I was placed in a room away from the main building where I had to walk on a sloped surface. There was not in any of the buildings ADA handicap toilets or showers. The beds were so high off the floor that I had to have help getting in and out of bed. I was not able to walk down to the fishing dock to enjoy activities with my family. I wish my family had been more informed about the resort. October 2021 was a beautiful time of the year to be with family.

2022-06-22The weekend of 6/17/22, CCR hosted our Daughter’s wedding. The setting was awesome and the crew/vendors were great. Love this place. Could not have found a more perfect location. Everyone attending had a great time. They also offer onsite lodging, which makes the weekend complete. The lodging is in rustic log home type structures with beautiful lake views. Highly recommend this Cedar Cove Ranch.

2022-05-26We recently had the pleasure of staying at The Ranch for our wedding venue. We rented ALL 3 houses for a week and let me say it was an understatement of how well we were treated so good, The staff came bye everyday to make sure we had everything and if we needed anything. We can’t wait to make it a yearly stay with family and friends!! Ripple, Lyndsay & Chris and all the others thank you for making our stay so comfortable and welcoming!!!

2022-04-27Booked a weekend stay at CCR for my son’s birthday. Communication with staff prior to arrival was excellent and easy to understand. We had a fantastic time fishing and hunting during our stay. The staff was polite, attentive and available to help us at a moments notice. The property was meticulously maintained and safe. Additionally, our meals tasted delicious and had always been delivered on time. Lodging was clean and comfortable. Truth be told, we didn’t stay inside much due to the great fishing available just a few steps away. We didn’t bag a hog but the ranch provided everything we needed for a successful shot. That’s just how it goes sometimes. Overall, we had a wonderful experience. Thanks again to CCR for delivering. Looking forward to another visit in the future.

2022-03-04If I could give more than 5 stars I would! I wanted to surprise my son with a grand adventure for his 15th birthday. After searching, I found Cedar Cove Ranch and Resort...the pictures do not even come close to how beautiful and peaceful it is! We flew into Love Field, picked up our rental vehicle and drove a little over an hour to get to the ranch. The Lodge Rooms are very nicely furnished in a rustic style. Wi-fi is available to guests. To be honest, I disconnected during our stay and was able to totally relax. The staff was very nice, responded quickly to requests, and while always available respected our privacy. You may be asking about the adventure part of the trip...well we hunted wild hogs during the day and with thermals (provided by the ranch) at night - what a blast!! We fished in the morning and early afternoon either off the dock by ourselves, or guided and caught blue gill, crappie, or bass. I also spent some time walking on cleared trails by the lake and around the property. I can guarantee this wont be the last time I visit Cedar Cove Ranch and Resort!!

The rehearsal, the preparing for the ceremony, the actual ceremony and the after party all done onsite! The vendors all did amazing! I would highly recommend this venue- they went above and beyond! It is a beautiful spot out in the country as well!

2022-05-04DO NOT BOOK HOG HUNT!We rented the CCR for a Hog Hunt birthday weekend. It was over $5K which is a premium price. We had 4 stand hunts even with Thermal at night and it was a bust. Over 25 hours of in stand hunting and 1 hog. We had to ask to have the feeders turned on and then they were set to run about 20 seconds. The amount of corn on the ground you could hold in 2 hands. It was clear that the team was not versed in attracting hogs. It had a very nice lodge but I strongly suggest not booking a hog hunt here. Very Expensive and Very Disappointed !!I am sure I will get the standard answer that hunts are not guaranteed but you have to put in the effort to attract the hogs which was not what CCR delivers. I have been on many hog hunts and an outdoorsman all my life!! If you change a premium then customers expect a premium experience. I would even suggest that they remove that option from there offerings.
