The whole staff is wonderful! They are always professional and do quality work. Terry is such a great communicator and explains everything that needs to be done. We bring all our cars to them and they make us feel like family. They always give a call back to make sure everything is still working well and that we are happy with the work.
This is the best auto shop I have ever used! I am a person who is nervous when I have to take care of such things. From the first moment, I knew I would feel more comfortable here. They are professional, friendly, knowledgeable, they price fairly, and they aim to get the job done as quickly as possible. They have earned my loyalty, no doubt.
I had leak following an oil change. I took the car and spoke to Terry who explained that oftentimes in older cars, the oil pan plug was stripped and that I had to replace the oil pan. This wasnt good news, but it had to be done. Terry gave me an estimate and then told me where I could get a $50 off coupon. The work was done the following day and I got the job done for $50 less than the estimate. Plus, a ride home was provided and I was picked up when the work was done.
Great Honest Professional service.I went back there today after failing inspection. Ms Terry asked if I had recently changed the battery which I had. She explained that may be why the sensors failed on inspection. I drove it at highway speeds for 100 miles and reinspected. They could have just worked on my vehicle and charged me but they were honest. I will remain a loyal customer. Thanks Ms. Terry.
I am so very thankful for Century Automotive! They have taken such great care in their work with my car and also their customer service. The shop is very neat and inviting and I appreciate the care they take in explaining everything. I cant say enough wonderful things about this shop and we are so thankful that we found a mechanic we trust, especially for my husband....Your car will give you years of life, if you take care good care of the maintenance and find yourself a great mechanic.......thank you!
I really enjoy the experience at Century Automotive, Mike really gets hands on with helping to diagnose problems with your vehicle. From the young lady at the front desk to the mechanics, everyone is personable with you in helping you solve any issues you may have. I really like that I always receive a follow up email or text to be sure Im 100% satisfied. I highly recommend them
I had a wonderful experience with Centry. Although it took a bit longer than expected due to the wrong parts being delivered, they were courteous and professional when giving me frequent updates. The politeness and transparency is the main reason I will recommend my friends and family to this establishment.
First time customer. Came here to get my A/C checked out. It had been acting funny. Terry was very helpful setting up an appointment day and time. I had to reschedule my first visit when work ran late. I called and spoke with Terry to make a new one. Turns out that my Chrysler 300 has some special type of system and they said I would need to go to a dealer to get it fixed. While I was there I still had my oil changed. Century did their vehicle inspection and told me the brake and steering fluids were getting dirty. They suggested their service. When it came time to check out, Terry found a coupon for me to use and save some money. Thank you.
I LOVE this auto shop. I am a teacher, so you know I live on a strict budget. Terri and the rest of the gang are amazing. They treat you like family. This shop does not try to beat you out of your money and they do awesome work. This is my chosen auto shop FOREVER! I will continue to spread the word about this business!
Mike , the owner explain everything to me about my vehicle , gave me time to talk it over and think about my options, After letting Mike know what my decisions was he proceeded to repair my vehicle and gave me a realistic time frame on how long the repairs would take and had my car same day repaired and serviced. Friendly and Excellent service . car is running much better than expected. Thanks Century automotive
Have been coming to Century Automotive for 15+ years and have always felt like I was receiving the best care for all of our vehicles. The staff is friendly (more like family), knowledgeable, fair, helpful, and I feel like they keep our cars in the safest running order possible. Thanks to all at Century....appreciate you and Im so thankful that you are right here in our neighborhood.
Richard and Ryan were very friendly and helpful. I felt so comfortable leaving my car with them because they were very honest and upfront about repairs needed and the time-frame in which they needed to be done. They called me the same day with a quote that I felt was very reasonable (and lower than the dealership) and didnt attempt to push any extra services on me. I greatly appreciate their honesty and kindness and would definitely recommend them to my friends and family. Thank you!
Century automotive is the place to go. Been coming there for my vehicle for over two years now which is the longest I’ve been faithful to an automotive place due to bad experiences in the past. I won’t have to look any further for a reliable, trustworthy mechanics than the ones working at century automotive. Special shout out to Terry for being such a friendly understanding staff member I’ve ever met. Thank you century automotive & transmission!!
So happy I found Century. The first question Everyone is usually wanting to know is pricing ...their pricing was the same as many other local shops around, I looked at multiple to find one to work exclusively with for my personal and buisness trucks so do yourself a huge favor and go to Century. Everyone is very friendly and you can tell they really care about you and your experience. They are willing to take you home if the work is going to take a while and having two young kids I Highly appreciated that ! Ive had to pack half the house with me at previous auto shops knowing id be stuck there with my two energetic toddlers and that is never fun. It was so nice to be able to have such an easy experience overall and know that they where looking out for me. Thank you very much ! Ill be a customer for life!
Since Ive worked as a mechanic and as a Shop Manager in the past, I generally dont trust mechanics to anything but stuff that requires a computer, or special equipment. This place is different. I definitely get a feeling that they want me to be happy with the work done.I have taken my car there twice for two relatively large issues. CV axles and Belts / Pulleys. Other shops tried to snow-ball me with BS stuff to add to the job, and the general quote was also higher, sometimes MUCH higher (Firestone). Both times I felt I was getting a fair price considering the cost of the parts involved, and the complexity of the repair. Im pretty mechanical and Im able to do these repairs myself, but my warranty is my own. If I dont do it right, I only have myself to blame. With Century, if there is a problem, they guarantee their work, call you after its done, etc. They WANT you to be happy with the work and not just move on to the next number/checkbook.Thanks for the great work!
I am new to the area and worried about finding a good place to take my vehicles for service. I was so relieved when I discovered Century. The staff is very knowledgeable and made me feel welcome and that they are concerned with taking care of my vehicles properly. To date I have only had the need to take one vehicle but the service and experience were so great I plan to use Century for the care in my current and all future vehicles for as long as I live in the area.Thank you so much for wonderful service,Terri
I have only used this company once before based upon a friends recommendation. However, I wont be back after my this last this past Monday. I took my truck in for an oil change and to have it checked out as am leaving on a road trip hauling horses and wanted to make sure everything was in good order. I received a call from Ryan telling me that my wheel bearings were bad and needed to be replaced. The estimated cost of the repair was going to be approximately $1,350. This did not make sense to me as I had replaced the ball joints and had the bearings inspected less than 10,000 miles ago so questioned what I was being told. I did not authorize the repair, instead I picked up my truck and took it to the local Dodge Dealership for a second opinion (they are not who replaced the ball joints previously). After going through my truck completely, I was told that my ball joints and my wheel bearings were fine and there wasnt any need for them to be replaced. What they did find was that my steering linkage was what needed repair and was very loose, thus causing the play in my steering. I am certainly glad I didnt not spend $1,350 for a repair that wasnt needed! If I had Century make the repair they recommended it would not have fixed the problem and it would have cost me an additional $1,500 to fix what really needed to be repaired. Bottom line... I will not go back to Century Automotive and will not recommend them.
I absolutely love this place! They always get the job done right, the first time and never too expensive! In the two years I’ve lived in the area they are the only ones I’ve turned to! At one point my car was in the shop for a couple of days and they even gave me a ride home and back to pick my car up! Friendly, excellent staff who always make you feel like you are in great hands! I recommend them to everyone!
I went in to get a tune up on my vehicle and left with a much bigger problem. I only came to this shop because it is close to my job and a few of my co workers go there as well. When I initially called for an estimate, the lady there seemed to have an attitude. She never called back so, I called again. The guy who answered stated she will give you a call back later with an estimate. I finally get my estimate and I drop it off the next morning. When I spoke with the lady that morning she STILL had an attitude (so much for customer service). When I dropped my car off I had a bad feeling with the place. I thought to myself whats the worst that can happen. When I picked my car up she told me my price was $17,000. Terrible joke coming from a lady with terrible customer service. Lastly, after leaving, about ten minutes down the road, my A/C stopped blowing. I have never had an A/C issue ever. I called and told them and they stated just bring it back in. The next day I spoke to the lady with bad customer again and she had an attitude AGAIN. Stated it was nothing they could have done. The owner stated it was an unfortunate circumstance. Yeah right. So, they gave me a quote. Whats crazy is the dealer was less than these folks. THE DEALER. They offered me a free oil change but I dont want something to go wrong with my engine.
Took my car here last week as I had a leaking expansion tank, and this place is convenient and had good reviews online. Additionally I had seen that they advertise free estimates, so I thought this would be a good place to go.Initially everything seemed fine, everyone was very friendly and the facility looked very nice and up to date. They quickly got back to me and confirmed the leak, stated that there was nothing else wrong and otherwise the car looked in great shape. The quote for the work was an eye watering $650, just to replace the expansion tank, and flush the coolant. Thinking that I must have unrealistic expectations and needed the work completed, I said ok. However after a quick look online, I found that the quote was exceedingly high, so I called Christian Brothers to get a quote from them...$370.I immediately called Century back to say not to proceed with the work and that I was coming to collect the car. They said that was fine, no problem. I arrive at Century to find a bill for $60, and when I asked what it was for as they advertise free quotes, they immediately got the manager who stated it was for diagnostics. I said that made no sense as they advertise free estimates and o mention of a diagnostic fee was mentioned. He insisted that diagnostics and estimates are separate things and that i was definitely told about the fee. After much complaining he reduced it to $29 which I reluctantly paid just to get out of there so I could go and get my car fixed. Finally, as I got in the car to leave, it came up that my front left low beam headlight wasnt working. No idea how anything they did could have caused it, but it was working before I took my car there.I took my car to Christian Brothers and they repaired it for the quoted $370.I cant speak to anyone elses experience or the quality of their work, as they didnt do any, but I certainly wont take a car there again and cant recommend that anyone else should.
I recently moved to the area and saw that Century had very good reviews, so I decided to try them out. I have been 4 times since February, and each time they are professional, courteous and willing to give you options as to what you need done for your vehicles. I would recommend this shop to anyone looking for a good old fashioned neighborhood garage with professionals on staff!
Well decided to try them out, they were close and decent ratings. Got car in and they were great at communicating and getting parts. They fixed the car that day and told me to pick it that night. This is where it went downhill. I arrived to pick up car, they replaced window regulator and motor. I paid and started to drive off. I got down the street and could here the wind coming in. I pulled over and the window would not close all the way, it was Half an inch from the top. I drove it back and a gentleman came out and took a look at it. He said I will have to bring back tomorrow because it was almost closing tine. I said no because it is supposed to rain tonight and the window will not close all the way. I explained they should have inspected the work before calling me to come and get. So I waited for almost an hour for them to try and fix it. He brings it out and takes it for a ride and comes in and says it is all good. So I get in for the second time and roll window down and something pops and I go back in again. The guy comes out and looks at it and says that is the was it is supposed to sound. I disagreed and decided to go home, I had been there over an hour and a half. The next day I brought it down and left it again. They call me and I go back and the same guy said a clip had come off and they repositioned it and got the window straight this time. Finally it is fixed now. I realize things happen and try to be forgiving through this long process. Nothing offered for my time. So now I need some work done again and decide to call them for a quote. They give me a price for labor and I felt it was a little high for what was needed to do the work and they were the highest quote. I asked if they were going to give me a discount for the issue with last time they worked on my car. She said no! She said it with no hesitation and no explanation. I said that is sad and I should not have had to ask for a discount. After waiting over an hour and half and then having to bring it back again for them to get it right all I got was a quick No. Other then the warranty work on window I would never use them again because of poor customer service.
I have been using Century Auto for more than 7 years and have found them to be the best auto repair shop I have ever used. They are fast, the price is right and I do not have to worry about repeat work. Ryan at the service desk is friendly and will always treat you right.
I have used this shop for years without any issues. Lately Ive read negative reviews and thought it was just a customer issue. Until recently I was affected by poor workmanship and negative customer service. And later found damage to the vehicle that could have only happened while in this shops possession, but now its too late to prove. The owner will not return calls and acts like they are the Holy Grail of mechanics and couldnt possibly be anything his shop could do wrong. Guessing Ill seek legal advice and go from there.
I recently went to Century Automotive to have some work done on my car, along with an oil change. So far I am satisfied with the work, which was basically a tune-up. However, the oil change was not a thorough oil change; meaning the little sticker with the mileage and/or date on my windshield was not present when I picked it up. I specifically told Ryan to have whomever air up one of my tires. This was not done either. I realize the oil change sticker and neglecting my tire pressure might be somewhat trivial, but it is definitely derelict by whomever supposedly changed my oil. Was my oil change even done? If it was, was the synthetic 5W-30 even used? I paid $55.00 for this. I called and informed Ryan of this. He apologized and said hed talk to that person about these things. After a few minutes of pondering, I now wonder if an oil change was even done.To the owners: Please make this right and address this with the appropriate personnel. Me and my mother both come to your shop.Thank you
Mike has worked on my cars for 29-yrs now. Hes always been very professional and Ive never doubted his work. I currently live almost 100-miles from his shop and still only trust him with my toys! Hes a very well respected figure in the turbo Buick scene throughout the entire country. His knowledge on these particular cars is paramount.I will continue to travel the distance for Mikess help on any/all of my vehicles. In addition to referring all my friends & family.
I love the experience I had today with this business. The owner went out of his way and staff to make it personal and outstanding for me. I cant express the gratitude I have and for there professionalism and dedication. THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH FOR GETTING ME BACKBON THE ROAD 🤗🔥🔥🔥
In the past we have had very good service and quality work done for slightly above average prices. I felt this was an acceptable arrangement. However, for the current service performed they charged $430 for replacing the window regulator in my 2003 Honda Odessey van. After calling around I get competition prices from $167 to $365 the average seemed to be about $300.When they originally called with the quote I asked what the eval fee was and they stated they have $107 worth of work done so far. That would be to remove a door panel and verify its the window regulator needing replacement (which they pretty much already determined from the original phone call...). I feel that to be an excessive evaluation fee for this problem. The price for an OEM part obtained during calling is $104.57. According to a Youtube video I watched (and that guy wasnt in a big hurry), it took half an hour to change the part.I understand different shops charge widely varying amounts, but now that my favorite shop is too far off the expensive end- I dont feel I can go there and not get overcharged.

2022-01-30Hands down the best customer service in Fort Bend County. Century Automative goes WAY above and beyond to make you feel like a valued customer. Auto repair bills are often costly and you want to know that you are spending your hard earned money with companies that appreciate the business. We were extremely pleased with the work (a rebuilt transmission) and the service. Thank you!!

2022-03-07I’ve never had a bad experience… tonight I went to get dinner for the family. I backed out of my parking spot at the restaurant, attempted to shift into drive, and nothing. My column shifter was moving freely… I couldn’t catch a gear, including neutral. After waiting an hour for a tow truck my patience was wearing thin.I knew the shop was closed but decided to check anyways. Mike was actually there but the shop was closed. Mike walked to my vehicle, manually placed it into gear at the transmission and I was able to drive my suv to the shop. Great customer service, better people, and always willing to help! Thanks again for always being there. If you need good & honest service this is your place 👏

2022-03-21My vehicle was in their shop for a transmission issue that was covered for the most part under my extended warranty. My car was also experiencing random misfires, so I asked them to diagnose it and only to perform work that was covered under my extended warranty. They called me stating that it needed a new crank sensor and electrical connector harness due to oil. I never authorized them to do it since it wasnt covered under warranty. Long story short, they went ahead and performed the work, and all they could say was that there was a misunderstanding. The actual reason the sensor and harness had oil was due to the valve cover gasket being bad. Not only did the crank sensor have oil over it, but also the starter; it was apparent the oil was coming from the valve cover, and Century failed to diagnose real issues properly. My car is still experiencing a misfire issue meaning the crank sensor wasnt a problem. They also stated that my battery was bad, which wasnt the case; the starter was an issue. I would expect a professional shop to diagnose vehicles and perform repairs accordingly vs. just assuming and performing un-needed repairs. Long story short, I paid over $1100 out of pocket for a misunderstanding. I will never return to this shop, nor would I recommend it to anyone. I asked for a callback during a follow-up call but never received it.

2022-06-22I went to Century to get another estimate on a power steering issue that had been diagnosed by two separate and larger auto repair shops in Katy. The other two shops diagnosed that the noise it was making was the power steering pump, and the rack and pinion was leaking and also required replacing. The cost estimate was 2350 at one place and 2650 at the other site.Century had a look at it and found out that it had nothing to do with the power steering pump nor rack and pinion and instead the noise came from the alternator which also was not charging. In addition the belt tensioner had to be replaced. The total cost was about $1000. Had I went with either of the other two repair sites I would have spent over twice as much and not have had the problem resolved.I appreciate Century’s diligence in their accurate diagnosis and repair of the issue. While the rack and pinion did have a small leak, that wasn’t at all the issue.

2022-05-19I am a owner of 2015 Nissan Versa. Just few days ago, the CVT of my car signaled an engine code P0846. I was advised by the oil change shop to drive a few miles and check if the transmission is still shuddering. It was actually, after CVT oil change. So I consulted Terry and then Mike. They made me aware that I still have time (cause of mileage) to get help from Nissan. Mike drove my car and advised me to consult Nissan customer care. Terry helped me all necessary phone numbers and literature. I am genuinely thankful to them and will recommend this shop to anyone who might be facing similar problems. This review by no means is fake or fabricated. If you can believe it, it IS a honest review.Mike, Terry, thank you for all your help. Ill keep you posted about Nissans response. So much happy to know that you are nearby.

2022-07-12Terry is the most down to earth front office person I’ve ever known…she always tries to find a way to make things work, as do all of the talented technicians. Just today, Century got in-network with Telsa and stayed on hold just so they could help me with an annoying noise…these types of gestures is why I never go anywhere else. They also pointed out two recalls, which has resulted in a telsa rep coming to my house on Friday to repair everything for free. I was charged nothing today, and the amount of time and money saved by simply going the Century first cannot be calculated. I am always grateful, even when it’s an expensive job, because trust is earned…they have mine.

The price is always fair, the timetable is always reasonable, and the professionalism is always outstanding. Im impressed with how much Terry knows about each customer. Scott has been fantastic with our Porsche work. Brandon is always on top of things as well. Best place to get car work done in the area by far.

2022-03-15It may have been an oil & filter change, but its more than that at Century A&T. Its the people that make the difference for me and my family: from Terry at the front desk that checks you in to the Brandon that does the morning appointments for oil changes & state inspections. Century has a database on their customers cars, knows your car and what it needs to stay running without breakdowns. Who wants that, right? Finding a trusted Local Auto Garage that does it all with highly certified technicians, thats a win-win in my book.Best Regards to Mike & Patricia Kuertz
