Chilis Grill & Bar in other cities:
Went to dinner with the family tonight. Got seated right away and then after 30 minutes of multiple servers and hosts walked by us no one takes our drink or regular food order. A manager or some person kept going in and out bringing his giant party of friends/family food, drinks and dessert. Absolutely ridiculous. Got up and walked out.
Hate to give three stars but I was super disappointed during my time dining at Chilis I have ate at many locations and never really had a bad experience but this past visit was very mediocre. I walked in around 5:30pm and they werent too busy but surely acted like it, me and my friend waited at the front for someone to greet us for a few minutes, host finally comes over to sit us at at a booth with no menus just silverware, we sat there for about 10-15 mins until someone that wasnt even our server asked if we have been helped notices we dont have menus and attempts to go find some. a few minutes later the manger comes over to explain he will be helping out the server because she was a little behind. We ended up both ordering steaks I asked for mine to be well done and my friend wanted his medium rare and since its was their birthday they had $3.13 Margaritas so we also had a few drinks. When our orders came out I noticed my steak still had a lot of juices coming from it looking just like my friend steak I cut into mine and immediately noticed that my steak was not fully cooked it still was very pink and raw I called over to my server and asked for it to be sent back to the kitchen to be cooked a little longer they then took my steak put it on a different plate and sent it back to the kitchen a few minutes later they bring back my steak and it was still pink not to sound like a difficult customer but I know what well done looks like. The pictures I took here are after they brought it back a third time and I still noticed that it wasnt fully cooked liked I wanted. The cook even came back from the kitchen glaring at me from the corner probably because he thought I was joking about how I wanted it. After the third time my sides was cold and I was just fully dissatisfied and sent everything back ready to go. The manger did his best to accommodate me by taking off my meal and even comping my appetizer. The only thing our assigned server did was check In maybe like twice to see how everything was but other than that she did nothing to help us. The only good thing about my time there was the Margaritas. Definitely wont be going back to that location anytime soon really just because of the lack of service.
Good burgers at great value. Short of five stars due to food pick up being a bit disorganized. Staff isnt able to do curbside drop off for pre-ordered food even though instructions mentioned to wait in the car. I had to find a staff inside to ask and get food. It wasnt the staffs fault as they were working very hard. Looks like they are under staffed. Something to be aware of.
Zero service. Don’t waste your time. Sat down for almost 30 minutes, had to ask the host twice for a waiter to come to the table. After eating, we waited an hour with no service, had to yet again hound down the host to ask for service. Thanks Chili’s for ruining our date night!
My worst Chili’s experience to date. We were seated right away, then waited at least 15 minutes for someone to ask us about drinks. We ordered an appetizer and drinks then waited almost an hour before our server came to take our order. Someone else had already brought our appetizer and drinks and everything was gone long before she came to check on us.When she finally brought food we had been there almost an hour and a half, we still didn’t have 1 single drink refill. Every order was messed up in one way or another. Hamburger was raw, onions were not sautéed, and some of the orders didn’t even have all their items and we asked for the missing items and never got them. At one point my wife had to say “excuse me can we please get some more drinks” as she walked by. There was no reason for service this poor.Don’t bother eating here, find something else. You have been warned.
I will only give 2 stars, but the waitress was nice. The wait time to have just our drinks, was at least 15 minutes. Maybe 10 customers the whole time. The wait time for the food was even worse. I do not recommend getting chicken fajitas. 6 tortillas for 7 tiny slivers of chicken. My brothers burger patties were thinner than any fast food burger patty Ive seen. I will never go back.
Actually getting better. I ranked this at one star for the past several years. Theyve remodeled and its not so dusty now. The food is much better. The portions have really shrunk, but now theyre actually very well prepared. This particular location was a regular of mine for 12 years. For some reason it completely fell apart two years ago and I got tired of having to send my food back every time I ate there. I finally gave up in 2019. Just went back because it was the only place open. And I was very surprised by the quality of the menu items.
After church we visit this location at 6:20pm on a Sunday evening. More than half the tables in the restaurant are open and available… but they did not have the staff. People were told 35-40 min wait. The hostess had her bf at a booth in the bar area and was periodically sitting with him on and off while on the job. The hostess and a server were chit chatting gossiping right there at the host stand. Lol looks like I’ll be choosing Applebee’s from Now on bc this was by far the most unprofessional thing I’ve seen in a restaurant in cedar park.
We frequent this Chilis and the food is great, service has always been good. However, that is not the reason for this review. Ordered delivery from DoorDash with an expected delivery time of 30 minutes. Two hours later, and nothing. Called Chilis and the food had been ready for over an hour. The manager remade our food for pickup (even though it wasnt their fault) and would not allow us to pay. That is customer service. This will keep us coming back.
Seated quickly, told server we were in a hurry, were going to see the Texas Stars Hockey at 7. She took our order & we were served, orders were accurate, and made it to the game at 6:45!!! YAY!!! Party of 6. Orders were accurate, food tasted good, server was on top of her game!! Good experience!!
We celebrated our Anniversary, 43yrs.together. Food was so good, fresh. The server was courteous. Very nice people here, who congratulated us!! 🎊🤠. We didnt have to make reservations. Servers practice good safety procedures. Enchiladas were delicious, fajitas too. The ribs were so tender too!! Cedar Park Chilis
Legitimately every time I come here, it’s the same thing:-Wait 10min to be greeted-another 10-15min to get drinks-30-45min to get what we ordered. Meaning we’ve been at the table for nearly an hour before receiving our order.Do y’all not have enough servers or something? What’s the deal? If this happened once, I’d say it’s a slow day...but this is the third time.Twice is a coincidence, three times is a pattern.
We just visited this location of Chili’s to get cake for a friends birthday as all other places were closed. Even though it was late, the staff and especially the bartender was very accommodating and really made my friend’s birthday special. Huge shoutout to the bartender for going above and beyond and to the chili’s for being so flexible with us.
We received horrible service! First off when we got there all of the employees were standing by the bathroom goofing off and we stood at the front door for 10 min before we were noticed, also need to note almost no customers were there, the store was basically emptyWe were finally seated and ordered, just our appetizer took 35 min to reach our table finally and it was cold. Then it took an hour for our food to get to us, my steak was ice cold, we didn’t receive all of our food, my husbands burger was a mess and ice cold as well and caused my husband to now have food poisoning. Our waitress was constantly goofing off with coworkers and only checked on us 2 times our entire time there.Very disappointed In our service! It was our first date night in a year and it was a complete mess.
This Chilis location has always been one of my favorites for good service and awesome food. The service was good she was working hard to take care of everyone and met our needs. I got the national rib Day special and got ribs and brisket. The ribs were overdone and kind of black and dry and the brisket was shredded with a lot of fat and a bad taste. It was around 3:30 this afternoon so maybe we caught them at a bad time. I appreciate you being open and the struggle that restaurants are going through to survive so I would always give this restaurant another chance.
WORST ATTITUDE, SERVICE AND FOOD EVER! I just overpaid for absolutely insulting service after waiting for 55 minutes for a to-go order (there werent many customers there at 7:15 PM), only to get the food home and find it was missing the main part of my entree, and the corn on the cob was literally burnt. The mobile app doesnt work, and when you call in the order, dont ask any questions about the menu - its an inconvenience to the wait staff. Id never had any issues at other locations, but the 183 & 1431/Cedar Park location was terrible! Youd get better food quality, taste and service from Taco Bell, and pay far less!
It was the worst meal I have ever had at a Chili’s. The wait was close to an hour from the time we were seated until we got our meal. The booth was also awful, the back was loose & made a awful noise every time I moved. The sound was terrible it made. It was not a good experience a& is questionable if I will even return to any Chili’s.
Ordered a carryout today 6/4/2021Nobody came to car with order. Finally went in to inquire. Was already sitting there. Got home food was cold. The wife ordered the combo appetizer with the big bites, awesome blossom, chicken crispers..all cold and the burgers burned. This was at the Chilis in Cedar Park,Texas. Save your money and go elsewhere.
I ordered the spicy shrimp tacos with no spice. I have a stomach that cant handle spicy foods. No problem she said. Tacos with no spice .no problem. She brought me 2 cold tortillas. With cold shrimp. And cold shredded cheese on the side. Plate was cold. Whole thing was cold. Gross. Could not complain because she never came back. Poor service and poor ice cold food.
I planned a lunch with around 25 people yesterday, mostly made up of teenage girls. I did coordinate the meal selections in advance, which they said helped tremendously. Our food was amazing, the staff was very accommodating and I definitely would plan an event like this again with them. Thanks to Micheal and Sunshine for making sure we were very well taken care of!
It must have been Slow Night at Chilis. We arrived at about 6:40 and were told it would be about a 10-15 minute wait. It was about 45 minutes... and 2 groups that arrived after us were seated before us. It was another 10-15 minutes before our order was taken. They forgot to bring our salads. Fortunately, our burgers were good. All-in-all, we were there for over 2 hours. Hopefully this experience was an outlier.
So I ordered a meal each for my husband and myself through door dash for the first time. The process of ordering it was pretty simple. The wait time was around 74 minutes. I didn’t mind too much and placed the order a little before 7pm. Our order didn’t get delivered till 9:10 pm. Our dasher had to leave after 30 minutes waiting. I called Chili’s and they told us that our order was ready but there wasn’t a door dash person there. I told them they had been there but couldn’t wait longer than 30 minutes. I do not blame door dash I blame Chili’s. The order was just a hamburger and an appetizer, that’s it! I could see it taking over 2 hours if it had been several items ordered. Very disappointed and will never order online again!!!
We have not been to Chilis in quite some time but thought we would give it a try. I got a burger that was overcooked and Fries that were cold. The food took quite some time to come out probably over 30 minutes after placing the order. The waitress did try to provide good service and I appreciate that which is the only reason for the two stars. When I got my burger there was a single onion string on it and two very small pieces of bacon. My wifes Cajun Chicken Pasta tasted like regular chicken pasta we were unsure why Cajun was in the name. Ended up paying $50 and felt like we got value of about $15.Update - after this review the management reached out to me to express their apology for my experience. I sincerely appreciated the gesture and will give the restaurant another try, since management is trying to make improvements.
We fully enjoyed our visit. All of our food was delicious and served in a perfect amount of time. My two boys were super impressed with the Blue Lagoon Fizzy drinks and are forever Fans of your restaurant. Our Waiter was very efficient and had a great personality. Kudos to this store for helping us creat a memory our boys will keep.
Service and good but it was slow. We ordered the $8 lunch. I had the Ceaser Salad which was good and the Double burger. Was very good, filling but not too much. Didnt feel stuffed. Restaurant was clean (pet peeve of mine when not) and Im a fan of the kiosk and ability to pay at the table.
Chilis is typically good and the wait staff is always friendly. My only complaint is when you have a 15 top bring all the food out together. We were all staggered. At least a 10 min wait between everyone getting their food. When we all received it, it was tasty. Loved our server! He was amazing!
Waitress was amazing and super attentive, food was awesome as always, went with my brother and parents, it was a lovely atmosphere in the booth and props to nobody urging us to leave, even though we talked for almost an hour. Food was a slight wait but it came out fantastic, hot and ready to eat. we also were given multiple refill, I will come here again
Listen, I have eaten at many Chilis and the experience that I had here, was by far the absolute best. The staff was just incredible and the manager was absolutely awesome. It was a busy night and they were able to seat me and my brother super quickly, bring us our drinks and serve us our food in a super timely manor. aside from the great service, the staff made it a point to be personable. I live a little over an hour away from this location, but I can guarantee that I will be going back, soon.
Visited on a Friday evening...bad start. Plenty of available places to sit. The snooty hostess told us she had to clean a table, no problem. Several other groups came in after us and she immediately found a table for them. Even another party of two, just like us. What gives? We asked her why they were seated before us when we clearly had been waiting. She mumbled something under her mask and left, as did we. Didnt get her name but she has no business greeting customers and trying to seat them.
We decided to go to chili’s for a birthday get together had a party of 14 we were sat easily arrived at 6:50pm. We thought, off to a good start. Our first server named Ashley we were in good playful mood we ordered our drinks and appetizers then that’s when the experience turned! We received our appetizers an hour later our drinks were flat by this point we didn’t get refills. Then we were later greated by another server stating Ashley had to go that she would take over. Well we kept seeing Ashley around and she didn’t leave like they said. our new server took our order and I kid you not our food came out one by one we had to watch every one eat at separate times. by the time some one was done another plate came out. Kids got their food late they were miserable by this point. We ended up staying there over 3 hours. Our new server never asked us about dessert she never brought us refills, ranch for our salads, napkins, our food was cold plate was hot! It’s like they profiled us as ppl you don’t care to sever. We were ignored the entire time! I made sure to write a note on the credit card receipt. This was a very unpleasant experience you need to look into your servers.
I’ll preface this by saying there is a star because no stars or negative stars are not an option!Terrible customer service! The food was 30 minutes past the original 45 expected wait. Ok you were busy but I still expected the food to be hot with that kind of wait. But NO! The steaks were 103.8 degrees and the other 92.8 the loaded mash potatoes were jelled and 99.6 just gross and the Cajun chicken on top of the COLD pasta was 93.9 degrees.. yes the chicken just nasty. No chips for for the skillet queso. I tried to call for a manager to try to resolve these issues, held for 20 minutes before I decided this establishment needed a warning label to warn all potential take out customers of the service this establishment seems to believe is acceptable. So disappointed because chili’s is my favorite.
Took over 50 Minutes to get a quesadilla, we advised the server we had a plane to catch as soon as we got there too. It was at lunchtime and the Restraunt was not a quarter full. We had to take it to go. The place was not very clean. If you have all day for lunch I guess it’s passable, but don’t know too many people who have hour and a half lunch breaks.
The menu has been updated and includes many more delicious things than it did before. My waiter was a bit slow, but I admit that we were a large party, it was just sad to watch everyone else at my table eating while I still waited. I also had to wait for my drink to be refilled longer than most. But other than the food was good and the waiter was nice, even if slow.
The food was acceptable the new flavoured ice tea drink were quite good. Our server Armando was exceptional. The reason for two star rating is because we waited at least 10 minutes prior to anyone (host / hostess) greeting and seating my party. We actually wondered if he policy changed and it was a Seat Yourself Option. Also the restaurant wad nor busy thus do not understand why we had to wait so long. Otherwise the visit wad uneventful
When we first sat down at our table it took them almost 20 minutes to order our drinks so of course we were already ready to order we had ordered some Texas cheese fries when the appetizer arrived all the cheese was burned no plates no napkins afterwards when we asked for them we had to do it twice because she kept forgetting afterwards when we ordered our food I had ordered a fajita plate and asked for refried beans she took down the order when the food came it was obviously just regular black beans I said oh I ordered refried beans and she told me well we dont serve that that would have been nice to know ahead of time as far as the food are plates entrees tasted great but the service needs lots of work and a lot more staff do not recommend this location
Went for lunch today. Service was kinda slow, but its also New Years Eve, so we werent very surprised. Mikayla was great, and Amberrae the bartender is always a delight! I ordered the $8 Lunch Combo: the bacon ranch quesadillas and a bowl of chili. It was really good. A lot of food for just $8 -- really good deal.
First time at this location. Service was ok. Hardly checked on on us. The chips were overcooked. I asked for fresh ones and they gave us fresh overcooked chips. Seems like the oil they use to cook it needed to be changed. Waitress didnt refill our drinks. The food took an unusual amount of time to get ready. It wasnt busy.
During all that our country has gone through, it was good to eat a meal that reminded us that the country will recover and there are folks out there that are provide a service that is great for the soul and fulfilling for the appetite. Thanks for all your folks and service
I very rarely give 1-star reviews, but this was the worst experience I have ever had at a restaurant. We ate here on June 3rd at around 7 PM. There was no wait to be seated which was great -- it wasnt that busy. However, no one came by to greet us, get our drink orders ... for over 30 minutes! I had to talk to the front door greeter and ask for a waiter to come by and we still had to wait awhile before she finally came, right when we were about to walk out.You might think that 30 minutes without even someone greeting us or getting us drinks might be normal ... if it was super-busy.But, there were two couples that walked in at the same time as we did, and their servers were attentive, friendly, and checked on them constantly. They had appetizers, drinks, and their entree way before we did and they left long before our food even came. Meanwhile, we never got our drink order or had someone greet us.Our food finally came out and it was ... okay. The burger I got was great and tasted fantastic, but my fries were warm (seasoning tasted great). My wifes Carribean salad was delicious but they put a ton of cranberries on it (she had to leave a bunch even though she likes them)Our waitress came back one time, but never again after that. We didnt have one of the tablets at our table so there was no way to check out. We waited for over 20 minutes after we had finished eating and our waitress never came back ... so, we flagged down another passing waiter and asked them if we could get our check. She came back but messed up on our order, charging us too much.By the time we figured that out, we couldnt find her (or our original waitress). We finally were able to find and ask the 2nd waitress if she would print us off a new receipt, which she did.Our original waitress never came back. I dont know how long she wouldve made us wait.Very dissatisfied with both the customer service. I think a 1-star review is certainly fair.
I ordered two crispy chicken dinners last night to be delivered by door dash. I dont know who failed, the driver or chillis but it was cold and of course the chicken was not crispy. The restaurant is only five minutes away so there was so excuse for this. I dont want anything from this except for it not to happen again. Thanks, teresa
Ive would have rated this higher because I love Chilis... however its this particular location that Im not a fan off.I live in Austin, and my parents in Leander so if I ever visit we tend to go here or a Mexican food restaurant. The last two times have been very annoying, and our orders have always some how come with a mistake or part of it missing. The sad part, its probably because both times we got the same waiter!First, the salad came wrong and drenched in the wrong dressing. Then they brought our meal very quickly, which normally wouldnt be such a bad thing but they literally gave us our appetizers less than 5 minutes before hand. My brother asked for like a lot of ranch, and he gets mustard and charged for 4 oz ranch. Then my mom asked for a margarita, and we never see him again till he bring us our check. Then he realized he forgot her drink, leaves before my mom can stop him, and brings her one. We point out we were charged for a lot of ranch, but never got any. He leaves, and after several and several minutes later he comes back and just drops the check on our table and leaves.Good food, but I really hope we dont get that same guy again.
Food was okay. Service was not the best. Food took too long to come out and appetizer of guacamole didnt even arrive untill meal did. We had pre-notified her of dessert choice knowing cookie skillet sometimes takes awhile. By time dessert happened she asked what we would like, again (didnt put it in to flow with meal speed), of course took awhile to come out. We went in at 540 didnt get out untill 715. We arrived before dinner crowd and left with the dinner crowd. Very irritating when you have 2 kids and goal was to have them in bed ontime.Past times service was great but this last one was very irritating....plus we had no napkins :/Edit: so been a year and no improvement. Waited 1 hour for food pickup (25 minutes from indicating here) and having to go inside twice to see what the hold up was. When I got home (less than 1.5 miles away) found 1. Food was cold (less than 10 min from pickup). 2. Missing some of the sides and salad dressing 3. Cucumber in salad was bad (soft/mushy and discolored). While I was inside noted food on kitchen floor and preparers touching walls while walking.
I love eating Chilis but this location has a lot of work to do.We have a favorite server (who I am unsure if works there anymore) named Josh, everyone needs to be like him. He takes care of his customers, he is fast, courteous, attentive.I cant say the same for anyone else in the store. We went last week and after 5 minutes of sitting without any drinks or any server making themselves known I got up and requested the manager. They obviously knew I was mad because of the slow service and got the server. They should had still brought me the manager as this is what I had requested. I waited to see if they still would which they didnt. I ignored it and went on with my night.IF you say something the service WILL get better. 90% of the time we have to say something or we just ignore it and continue to receive bad service. Its all too common here...
Me and my family came last night the hostess was super frazzled and we had to wait closer to 10 minutes for anyone to greet us. We sit down, 30 minutes go by with no drinks no one stopping to say “sorry were busy I’ll be right with you” all the waiters looked at us and kept walking past. After nearly 40 minutes we got up and left to go somewhere else. I get times are stressful but you could of said SOMETHING to us.
Ordered classic sirloin meal. Ordered broccoli done, and steak medium and pink. Steak was well done and too tough to eat. Very disappointed in way steak was cooked. Was offered to have another steak cooked. Declined, due to extended time to cook another one.was comped half the bill. Then asked by waitress if I wanted to take home uneaten Steak? A busy day due to holiday and restaurant did not have hostess to seat customers. Waitress pressed to do two jobs while busy.
Food was decent. However, waiter was complete trash. I do believe it was my first time ever making it through a meal without receiving 1 refill or being asked if we would like a refill. We were eating for about 45 mins. Only interaction from waiter was bring out to go boxes that we asked for, even that was 10 mins after we asked for them. Will never eat here again.
Dont know what was up with this place this time we usually get really good service and food. We ate here on Sunday December 8th at about 8:00pm was sat at a dirty table with broken chips everywhere. Multiple tables had not been cleaned even though the restaurant was not busy. Salad was served with no dressing and was made poorly. The chicky chicky blue sandwich was served with Luke warm stale fries. We ordered chips and salsa but were never asked if we wanted more. Last time we tipped $20.00 this time I didnt bother. Expected more for a $42.00 diner for 2. If I could give less than one star I would.
Food and service was great! The bar was a different story. The Presidente Margaritas were literally all ice. The glasses were also filled with ice. You basically get a shot of Margarita for 5 bucks. It barely filled the glass once. Youd be better off buying a 6 pack on the way home. Dont waste your money...
Have had two trips to chili’s this week, left both times. 1st trip there was no soap in the bathroom to be found, which just shows no one is washing their hands. Second trip sat at the bar and it was obvious the bar had not been cleaned and I was handed a menu that was placed on the dirty bar. Hope there would be at least basic cleaning during covid, and soap.. to the mgmt please direct more attention to cleanliness in your restaurant, we enjoy coming to eat but the level of disregard being shown is deplorable.
Chilis has really improved since the last time I was there. There food is much better now. Not that it was ever bad. But it got mediocre for a while there. We stopped going for years. But now it seems they have really improved. I got the Guacamole burger. Its not just a hamburger with guacamole on it like most places. In addition to that its got jalapenos, red and green bell peppers, caramelized onions, and cumin-lime sour cream. Its fantastic! Its one of my favorite burgers of all time!My wife got the southwestern eggrolls and loved them as well.I like the fact that you can pay by credit card right there at the table using these little tablets they have there. Much safer than watching the waiter walk off with your credit card.I posted this as a 4 star review. Then 3 weeks later, we went back and had a completely opposite experience. The place was dead. Only a few tables had customers. Service was slow. Food took way to long to come out. They brought the wrong thing for my wife but she was so hungry she ate it without complaining because she didnt want to wait for them to make the right one. I got the same exact thing as 3 weeks ago (Guacamole burger) because it was so good before. It was slopped together, falling apart, messy, and flavorless. Fries were cold. Apparently its very inconsistent.
This was a busy location on the day my mom and I visited. There was a football game on, and the bar was packed. We did manage to find a small booth over on the side of the bar. Service was a bit slow at first, but picked up when the waitresses realized we were going to order lots of drinks and food. Good beer selection and food orders were correct. My Big Mouth Bites were delish and mom said her food was good too. All of the Chilis locations where we live have closed down and it was great to see they are still going strong in Texas. Well definitely be back when were in the area.
Thank you to the excellent staff here at this Chili’s for the extra hard work to take care of your customers in these difficult times. You are all risking your health to give us an alternative to cooking at home every night and I personally appreciate all of you and your efforts, the careful precautions you’re taking and the good food !!Good job!
My first visit here since leaving Dallas. This experience was most memorable because of the server and the meal. First off, as I recall, the server never introduced himself. We ordered drinks that took about 20-30 mins to deliver. My salad had a long strand of hair in it. The food was brought to the table almost an hour after ordering and then it was cold. The silver lining in this ordeal is that certain meals were compted. For this jesture, I give 3 stars. I do intend to return some day soon.
Delicious food. Best customer service Ive experienced in a very long time. The waiter was very attentive. The Manager, Roberto, was also very attentive and curteous! He was very kind to my kids and neice and nephews. The food was great and arrived in a timely manner. Great atmosphere as well! We will return!
My boyfriend and I went here for a chance to get out of the house and I was craving their bacon ranch chicken quesadillas. They were really busy but we didnt mind the wait. Our waiter took our drink and food order with ease and gave us plenty of time to look over the menu and play a little trivia game with other people in the restaurant. All and all it worth getting out of the house for.
We waited a long time before our server stopped by to take our drinks. By that time we were ready to place our food order. They took such a long time to bring out our food that it was all cold, including our kids food. We had to return it and wait again. The manager brought our food and he seemed detached and didnt even bother to apologize for the bad service.
I generally like Chilis, but this location has always been a problem. havent been in several months so theres always a chance that things have improved, but we quit going because the service was always so poor. Food is good, but they always seemed short on staff. Waits were long - even after getting a table. Make sure youre not in a hurry.
The girl at the window did not greet me she just said they can help you at the bar. Very rude. The bar was sticky and full of plates and trash as well as the tables around it. Bartender was ok. Really no greet. But got my food and was done. However the food was cold when I got in my car and didnt want to deal with it. Very dissatisfied.
My family and I decided to go to chili’s for dinner yesterday. The service started off well we got our drinks right away, and our chips and dip. The waiter was Very nice. After she took our dinner Order, things changed for the worst. We waited and waited and waited I would say 45 min or more with no food. The waitress came back and apologized for the wait and that they were just waiting on my husbands quesadillas. I was understanding until we waited and waited and waited again. The waitrsss came back and said she is sorry but they didn’t expect it to be that busy. I explained to her I have a 3 year old and there was only so much time we had to be there before he gets agitated and can’t sit still any longer lol. She apologized again and went to check on our food. In the meantime the manager came over and apologized and said he would not charge us for our kids plates. Finally my sandwich and my husbands food came out but the 2 kids plates were missing. My sandwich tasted like it was sitting for a while and my husbands quesadilla, they said they were waiting for, came out like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a while with the lettuce all shriveled up. I finished my sandwich which wasn’t great and my kids still didn’t have their food. Finally my daughters mini cheese burger bits came out and she was upset because the meat was burnt the bun was crunchy and the cheese was missing along with my sons dinner. It’s been an hour and my son can’t sit still any longer and is very irritated and hungry I finally have the waitress take back the mini burger bites that had no cheese and asked her to put hers and my sons dinner in a to go box and had to go. She came back finally with the food in Togo boxes we paid and got out of there. This experience was horrible. This was one of the rare occasions we went out to eat and picked the wrong place. The thing I’m upset about is, I understand it can be busy and getting your food may take a while but when you do make sure the food is good and freshly made. It took too long and the food was horrible.
Yesterday was by far my worst experience at this location. Ive been going to this location for years, and Ive gotten decent- not so decent service; though yesterday was terrible service from the server and the manager. To start the server was very inattentive towards my table, not once revisiting the table, not once asking to refill drinks, forgetting what I asked for, ect. I had to walk around multiple times looking for someone to refill our drinks, asked another employee for a box to go, asked someone to get me a check to leave.FINALLY he gets around to giving me a check, I tell him I have a coupon, and that sends him off on ANOTHER 10 min trip to get me a kiosk. Not a minute after I get the kiosk, and start to check-out an update pops up charging me an extra $1.99 for some game, I ask him to remove it, and he accuses me of playing a game moments after he handed to me... Im pissed off, but I calmly ask to see the manager to remove it. He gets to my table, and as I explain the issue, how inattentive his server has been, and he has the gall to roll his eyes at me, and tell me how wrong I AM?! As if this person was in my shoes, and at my table the entire time?! How can he know what MY experience was? I left tired and angry, who do you speak to after you talk to the manager, and theyre ok with the poor service their employee gives? Yesterday was unforgivable, I will not be returning anytime soon.
Generally speaking I am not a fan of chains, my daughter does not share the same opinion so we went to chillis. AMAZING service and the food was good too. Very busy night after a nd after a few minute wait and no server, not surprising given the number of customers, the mamager came by and asked if anyone jad stopped by when I replied no, rather than saying something like...let me find someone, he asked what wed like to drink and if we were ready to order. We were and he took our order. Our server took care of us from there bit he stopped by to check on is and bring my daughter ice cream, with my permission.I was surprised when the check came he comped her meal and brought her coupons for her next two meals free with her name on themAMAZING service, I didnt get his name but Chilis clone this amazing leader!
I love eating at Chilis...... however. I came in with my two 5 yr olds, ordered their food and my appetizer. The kids food came out fast and kinda cold. No big deal. But 15 min later I had to ask for my appetizer. When she finally came back with my pickles I ordered my food. Nothing special. 30min later she came up to the table and said “did you need something or were y’all just hanging out ?”Ummm my food would be nice. She was back in under 3 min with my food. So clearly it had just been sitting back there for god knows how long. My kids were done and antsy by the time my food go to me. So all I wanted at this point was to pay and leave. But I waited another 15min before I finally asked another waiter for my check and box. This was just unreasonable. I have waited tables before and this was just her not seeing us as a priority.
We were not given the option of which side we wanted to sit in. Both sides had plenty of empty booths. The kid that was the host sat us on the bar side, which didnt help the headache I had or the hopes of a nice peaceful meal. It was really loud with all of the tvs on full blast. The meal took too long to arrive and when it did, my hamburger was under cooked. They always forget to bring everything you asked for. They NEVER bring your drink with enough ice. It always has like 4 ice cubes in it. ALWAYS have to ask for more ice. It is overpriced!! I have been going to Chilis since 1984. I have always loved it. You had your last chance yesterday. Im done with Chilis.
Walked in with my 2 kids and sat for 15 minutes without being looked at while customers who came in after us were promptly served. I know its just Chilis but i expect at least decent service. The staff wouldnt even look me in the eyes when i tried to get their attention. Its not the first time weve had service problems at this location but its the last time we go.
This is the second time this has happened. Walked in and sat for ten minutes and no one ever came to the table. At least this time I saw a manager on the floor but she just grabbed some dishes and ran off. The hostess sat us at a dirty table with a ziosk that had a dead battery so we couldnt even use the call server button. We finally decided to get up and leave and the hostess watched us walk out and didnt say anything. We wont be coming back.
Chilis Im reviewing is at Whitestone behind the Wal-Mart. We go there pretty often. Food is always pretty good , only thing they can miss sometimes are the temps on soups. We all know they are microwaved but sometimes they are like warm and well I like my soups super hot. Other than that the staff us always great. Managers always ask how things are going. And the prices are fair minus drinks. Overall pretty good. Also lunch specials are great. Half sandwich soup and fries for 8 bucks cant beat that
I am very unhappy with my experience. I ordered the 3 for 10 and got a salad for my side. No where on the app does it say the salad is a half salad and when I asked the girl she said thats what it came in. I kid you not this is the smallest cup of salad I have ever seen a restaurant serve in my life. Honestly I think if I ordered and extra tomato it wouldnt have fit in this cup. Absolutly absurd. I asked how come when you order it in store it comes in a lot bigger bowl and of course she had no answer but didnt want to help me figure this out. With the salad being as disappointing as it is Im afraid to try the actual entree.
My boyfriend & I decided to try eating Chilis again after not eating there for a few months due to such bad service several times. Well, we were seated promptly by one person & the next person, who we thought was our waiter, came & took our drink order. Then a 3rd person showed up after a few minutes & said she would be our waitress. We ordered simple. 2 soups & a sandwich w/fries to split. We asked for our soups first. After about 25min, the whole meal came out together. So, after finishing our soup the fries were already stone cold. Our waitress never came back to check on us. My boyfriend had to get up & get his own refill of tea from a pitcher sitting on an end cap. A server saw him & then offered to bring another one. A few min later, we were done with our food, leaving the fries behind. Finally, a manger appeared as we were paying on the kiosk. We explained to him the above & what poor service we had received AGAIN. He tried to take care of the ticket, but my boyfriend explained to him that we were already paying & the point was to get the situation fixed, not to just comp our food. We did not leave a tip. There were 2 other tables that were frustrated as well. One with no drink refills & another that waited 20min for their check. Sorry Chilis Cedar Park, but that will probably be the last chance we give yall.
Food was good, service sucks. New trainee Mamal didnt do a good job. First, he wrote down our food orders, but came back and asked how I ordered my steak. Then just after our Texas Fries appetizers, he rushed for us to pay thru Kiosk without getting our dinner orders yet. Hes excuse was, sorry, I drew a blank. No good...
Good service...was able to get fresh coffee because the staff supposedly made it for themselves according to the waitress. My daughter had the burger and fries, my mom and I both had quesadillas and left half on the plate..they werent bad, just ok. With all the amazing choices of food places in and around Austin...Chillis is just...just..mediocre at best.
My lunch break was from 11:30 to 12:30 so my boyfriend got there early to go ahead and order our drinks and meals so that it would be on its way by the time I got there. He waited for his glass of water for almost 20 minutes and the waitress never came back. After I got there it was almost 10 minutes until she finally came up to take my drink order. I ordered water as well, and then my boyfriend decided to order a margarita and a half order of cheese fries. The cheese fries came maybe 5 minutes later, but we never saw the margarita. Our waitress never came back to our table to take our food orders, and this was as I watched her fill up one tables drinks 3 different times, and bring out dessert and clear empty plates from the table directly beside us. We finally got our waitress to come over after she ignored our eye contact and waves four separate times, (and at this point Ive been there for 45 minutes, without having any main entree orders taken, and I have to be back at work in 15 minutes), and her response was Well, what can I do? Do you want some soup? That might be fast. My boyfriend and I kind of looked at each other and said Uhh... No, we were here for a meal, not just for soup. And her reply was Well... how about a salad then? We asked for the manager instead, and he apologized for the whole thing and offered to pay for our meal (which was only $4 worth of cheese fries since we ordered a half order, and a margarita we had never even received). He didnt offer us anything else or any other discount to come back in the future, but instead asked us to just give them another try, because they were just short staffed right now since some waitresses were running late. Watching our waitress fill up the same drinks 3 times and never look in our direction to come take our order over a period of 45 minutes was the problem, not them being short staffed. Never going back there again.
This was the worst experience Ive had at any chilis. We ordered appetizers and asked that they come out before our food. Well our food came and when we told the waitress Ashley that wed like our appetizers first, she looked at us and very rudely responded Well you want me to just sit this back here and get your appetizer? she ended up bringing everything at the same time anyway. She then did not check on us again until we had to flag her down to get to go boxes. When we were leaving she stood right in our path to the door and didnt say a word. Not thank you, not have a good evening, nothing. Definitely felt like we were just an inconvenience.
Hostess seemed uninterested in seating us. We found table in the bar, but it was dirty. Waited 10 minutes, with 2 waiters promising theyd be right back, before finally getting our drink order placed. When I told waiter the table was dirty, he sprayed his table cleaner directly onto the table but it over sprayed onto my girlfriend and I. Service was slow and disinterested, management nowhere to be found. Will not be returning.
Decided to stop here on a Saturday night since it was busy however it ended up being the worst food ever experienced. I took one bite and could tell something was off so I couldnt even take it home for the dogs. My kid said their plate seemed ok however on the way home I had to pull over so she could throw up in the Jardin Del Rey parking lot. Other locations might be alright however we wont take a chance on any Chilis anymore. $50 better spent somewhere else.
The one in Cedar Park near Walmart needs improvement hostess was mean service is slow food is too salty and tenderizer used etc. The Chilis in Cedar Park right across from Fuddruckers is better. Faster seating nicer servers better food etcetera even when jammed. The Chilis at Hill Country Galleria is extremely clean with awesome food. The one across from Fuddruckers and Hill Country Galleria both give bigger portions not skimpy salty portions. You can get great rewards free appetizer or free dessert or free chips salsa guacamole queso etc. The one in Austin on 183 and Burner rd. Is always freezing. Their is one on Lamar and 45th st. Think it was cold food good at both locations.
I am the owner of 4TH Demention Construction & HVACR and a local guide for Google maps. Chilis is a great place for great food and really good drinks. Be sure to ask for Kade for your server he was on point, very kind, and there when I needed anything. I think that servers should get a bonus when they get great reviews. Lots of places have good food but having a great Server seals the deal for a amazing experience. The steak was cook to perfection. The garlic butter I used for the broccoli was so good. And dont forget the chips and salsa. The salsa was wonderful I couldnt get enough. This is the place to try. The dinning room is open with spaced seating and sanitary conditions for all. This Chilis is the place to relax and enjoy. Keep up the good work 👍⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Great place to go to relax, me and my wife usually go there like on a late Thursday even when we want to have a drink and snack. They have great friendly helpful waitresss and waiters, one in mind is Ashley, very down to earth great spirited young lady who always has everything on time and knows what we want eveytime we come in. One of the best waitress we have ever had serve us.
Called in an order. They told me it would take 15 to 20 mins. Arrived 30 mins after that. Still waited an hour. They had no customers. It was late and they still got my order wrong.Figured I would try here again, the food was good, didnt take too long, employees were nice.
I highly reccomend going to another chilis besides this one if you are of skin color. Just came to eat with some family members and got the feeling of discrimination from the hostess. The waiter was great though!!. But just the fact that hostess was veey rude and did not provide service. We were waiting for service and never got it untill 15 min later when i flagged down the waiter. (I was very angry). This location is mayority caucasian people.
Although our waiter was very nice and attentive. Overall, Chilis disappointed tonight. Tables were left unclean nearly the entire time we were there; my husbands salad was delivered AFTER his dinner; the price of my PLAIN cheese quesadilla was crazy; the little kiosks they want you to pay with werent working; there was a trainer and trainee walking around like they were lost; and, the manager made an appearance and had no value added. Disappointing, and we frequent this restaurant often & know they can do better.
This location is hit or miss with service as well as quality. The queso tasted like it had some Alpo mixed into it and the other dishes are sort of a we did what we could with what we had sort of mash up. The Honey Chipotle Crisper are about the only thing that you can count on being the same each time. As far as the bar goes, stick to beer if youre drinking because even a great bartender cant make a good drink with synthetic ingredients, Chilis your corporate, watered down service, and bad ingredients are showing, such a shame...good thing there are better options nearby.
Of Chili’s, the menu and serviced foods were exemplary minus all the cry baby reviews. Here, the service is outstanding allowing for 30%. Our usual hideout is located in Marble Falls, Tx also too, excellent. For those sad sacks who complain about the slightest, fixable details just stick to micky”D’s”.We enjoyed our food, service and stay. Thank you very much Chili’s!
Walked in and waited a whole 2 minutes before the Host even bothered to greet my wife and I. the server was just as bad, always asked another server to refill our water and even that was a tiral. food wasnt all great and our meals was served not complete with pieces missing.
Horrid. Ordered to go showed up and waited 30 mins past the ready time, no wonder why this place was dead on a sunday. Food was also horrid, I ordered a salad and it was soggy and half filled I had to add my own salad to it. Whoever owns this place needs to eat there and fire everyone cooking, how do you mess up a salad!?! Or take an hour to make a dang salad!? Dont waste your money.
Ptomaine & Salmonella in a family friendly atmosphere! If you are looking for an excuse to sit in the bathroom for three days, then youre in luck. Just visit this Chiles any night after 9pm and youre guarantee to get cold microwaved reheated waxy and soggy food that was fresh 10 hours ago.
Server acknowledged a special order to not add tomatoes, onions or lime to the chicken breast meal. The meal was served with all of the items. When he was advised of it, he went to the kitched and scraped it off as well as a good part of the chicken breast and returned it to the table as A Fresh One. Very poor service and took Cedar Park resident as being stupid.
We sat down at the bar area and the server comes up and says, “what can I get y’all so we can get y’all out of here as quick as possible.” We stood up and left immediately. No thanks, I’ll go elsewhere and spend my money. What kind of business is that? Do better! Smh

2022-06-18I got sick after eating here. The bartender and Ella were very nice. Trash outside on the benches . One staff member was a monkey driving the rest of the staff crazy.

2022-04-24Well today a new bar has been set for terrible food and service. I love me some Chillis, however that time has ended. The food was awful, service complete garbage. I dont blame the servers nor the kitchen. This is a clear leadership issue. The staff doesnt care to be fast or clean up tables in a swift manner, this is a reflection of leadership. I recommend going to another place to eat.

2022-06-19Food was not great. My burger bun was not fresh and was hard and dense. But mainly, the place was nasty. There was a whole day full of food under the table that we were sat at. The walls hadn’t been wiped down in what seemed like weeks or months. The floor hadn’t been swept in the entire place for at least a day or two. The whole place felt…sticky. It was not good, and definitely didn’t make us hungry for the food. Would most definitely never return.

2021-07-29We went to Chili’s today (Wednesday) for lunch around 1:00. First, the host automatically tried to seat us on the bar side. When I asked if we could sit on the other side he said “well that side already has 26 people”... Whatever that means🤷♀️ So, unfortunately, we sat in the bar area. He also didn’t give us a regular menu or any silverware, not sure why. After waiting for about 10 minutes the bar tender asked if anyone had helped us yet, we said “no” so she took our drink orders and brought them over. Our waitress finally showed up and took our food order. After being there for 45 minutes (did I mention I was on my lunch break?) the manger brought our food to the table. My Cajun pasta had definitely been sitting somewhere in the back for a while because the Alfredo sauce looked dry and cracked. I had ordered extra sauce, which looked the same way. When I mentioned this to the manager he said it was because they were “sizzling the fajitas” which were ordered by my mom. I’m not sure what has happened at this Chili’s but hopefully this was just a one-time experience.

2022-04-07Are waiter was amazing, but are food was terrible. Are food was cold then the manager was trying to make us pay for are cold patas that we didnt even touch. As for us to not to ask for a refund, the manager gave us a discount on our kids meals. Then we asked if he can take off the pastas that we didnt eat. He said yes but didnt say anything. Worse experience ever.

2022-05-02Normally I love chilis but clearly there are some quality issues in the kitchen. I contacted both Doordash (who gave me refund) and the store itself regarding this issue. I ordered a steak with sides and received a steak with sides PLUS shrimp! Neither my husband or I can safely eat shrimp. When I called the store and spoke to the kitchen manager, he was already aware that the kitchen staff had accidentally added shrimp to my order. Even worse is that it was Allowed to Go Out like that!

2022-04-17Where do I begin… while eating a I had to act as pest control and kill the 1.5 inch cockroach crawling up the wall, and the host, bar tender, or server didn’t seem to care about it. My margarita had little to no alcohol in it. We received our queso about 10 minutes before our chips and had to get another order of queso that wasn’t stone cold. My fiancé’s order had the incorrect side and took about 20 minutes to get corrected. This place went straight downhill. Never again.

2022-03-26I was very disappointed and aggravated tonight. I like chilis, Ive never been to chillis late, I worked unusually late tonight. I did not want to eat fast food, I wanted something decent to eat and this chillis is on my way home. I walked through the door as the clocked turned from 11:29 to 11:30. I asked to make a to-go order and they told me I could not make a to-go order past 11:30. Im not a person to make a scene. I asked, this isnt for a phone in pick up or delivery situation? Even for someone who is presently here? She said yes, you can eat here but cant make a to-go order. This makes no sense to me. I understand no to-go orders from a phone call, or delivery service because now the restaurant has to wait on the customer or pick up. And Id also understand if it was a last call situation. Where no more orders are being taken at all. But to tell me that I could eat there, but I cant pay up front for a meal, it be cooked just as if I was going to eat there, then placed in a to-go box while Im presently there makes no sense. It is absolutely illogical. So without argue, I just left, went out of my way to give my money to Canes instead. I wouldve rather spent more money at chilis and had something more than just fried chicken. Either the person needs some better training, or the policy for to-go orders is very nonsensical.
