This business subs out programming of the ABS system and therefore should not be entrusted with the care of vehicles with ABS issues. This requires them to charge exorbitant amounts (over twice as much as another mechanic in the same town) and they do not warranty their work when it has been subbed out. We have been left hanging after paying almost $400 and our vehicle is no longer drivable. This business did not fix the issue we paid them to fix, and when another mechanic says the programming was done wrong, this business will not guarantee the work of their sub-contractor. They have now lost my business, as I no longer support how they run their business.
I took my vehicle for an oil change to Christian brothers automotive in Corpus Christi. They completed the oil change but didn’t tighten the oil drain plug appropriately. Oil leaked all over the bottom of my vehicle and stained my driveway.UPDATE: I took the vehicle back after I found the leak from the oil plug and they said they fixed the issue by ensuring the oil drain plug was tightened. The following day it started leaking oil again. What a mess
I was under the impression that this business had the abilities and qualifications to repair and or are do good as promised but evidently someone dropped the ball and did not do a darn thing to my car. This business came highly recommended. I even brought replacement lugs and nuts for my tire and nothing was used!! They couldnt figure out where to order the part for my car!! Who does this!! I called the business and they told supposedly had a mechanic working on my car, however as I waited across the street, Noone touched my car. Sorry, people, will never recommend this place to my customers at my business or to my friends and family. SO disappointed with these people. Such a simple task and they could no t deliver!!!
I brought my truck in on a Christian Bros. warranty claim for work that had been done incorrectly in their Fayetteville Ar. franchise. I dropped the truck off on a Wednesday morning. I called back on Thursday afternoon and was told they were looking at it right then and would let me know what the problem was by 6:00 pm that day or then next morning (Friday). I didnt hear from them at all so I called late Friday afternoon and a different representative told me that they had not even started looking at the truck which meant the person the day before lied to me about what they were doing. Since I had had such a bad experience with the initial repair in Arkansas I picked up the truck and had it repaired elsewhere. All in all I spent about $1300.00 to repair something that should have only cost about $100. Never going back.
Ive been going to this Christian brothers for 3 years. So far, very good service and fair pricing. I went in yesterday for an oil change and state inspection.. they wanted to charge $88 for an oil change! when 6 months ago, it was $45. I asked why the increase in price and the guy said oh, we have new owners from Houston. hmmm... well to that new owner, your prices are too expensive! if you want this location to stay afloat, lower the prices! This is not Houston!
Had my vehicle serviced before and it was great, this was my second experience and it was ok I appreciated them working with me and fixing my vehicle. I had several check engine lights on my ‘08 explorer when I drove in on 12/14. I wanted to apply for financing ahead and I’m not sure what happened but I spent 2hrs there til it was figured out after I was approved and they gave me a ride home.They diagnosed it found the issues but recommended an additional $99 test due to a leak I’m not exactly sure why the $149 diagnostic test didn’t cover that but I assume it’s because it’s thru a different system as the leak was coming from the radiator. Well my repairs, tune up and changed a belt was $2300. Not what I was wanting to spend right now at the end of the year as a single mom of twins but it’s the price we pay owning a vehicle. I agreed to the work to be done and got my vehicle back 12/16 at closing they picked me up and stayed open til I got there which I thought was nice. I can’t complain much however I still have ASB light and loud alarm beeping occasionally since I left I will have to take it back to see why. I’m not wanting to spend much more on this 13yr old vehicle I already replaced the transmission at a transmission place in January so.. I’m hoping I’m good after this.
This will be my go-to place for oil changes and potentially other automotive issues going forward. I found them through AAA and have now taken three of our family cars to them. They are always professional and courteous and get the job done relatively quickly. They are busy for a reason, and you may have to wait a bit but they are honest and upfront about how long it may take. To me it’s worth waiting for quality and honest work.
Staff was extremely informative and friendly. They went over and beyond to make sure I left feeling comfortable with the diagnosis. Only complaint I have is the manager was rushing the mechanic and front desk assistant. He repeatedly questioned them on why it was taking so long while assisting me. Tapping his watch, rolling his eyes, and making gestures for them to hurry. Overall ruining the experience for me. Even though the service was amazing from the staff, I will not be returning because of him.
Was told by Brian the service manager to bring my truck in this morning 1st thing so they could change out my low oil pressure sensor. 3 hours later I show up assuming they are done with it, and they havent even started on it. I highly recommend you do not do business with these people because they are not loyal to keeping their word.
I had an issue with my vehicle minor one they took care of it in a very timely manner with extremely good technicians and the employees are nothing less than outstanding. They are without a doubt the best place to bring your vehicle or any sort of repair oil change whatever. I do not hand out compliments they are always earned.
Once again I am amazed! They did a brake check and alignment check before my tire appointment down the street. They called me quickly and advised I didnt need anything! They charged me nothing and even dropped my truck off at the tire shop!They were so kind, explaining everything to me, and they took good care of my truck!
Everyone was professional and friendly. I went there for an inspection, but after learning about their incredible oil change price; I got one of those too. They have earned my family’s business. I definitely recommend!!!The initial post above was over a year ago, actually over 2 years ago. I initially gave them 5 stars. I now give them one star. Changing management and or ownership makes a HUGE difference. When I first gave that five star review of this place, they truly earned it. I was told at that time that their oil change special never required a coupon. I thought, “awesome”. A few months later I went back for another oil change and thought it was a bit pricey, but bc I was in a hurry; I didn’t question it. A year later, I went back and did question the inflated oil change price. The rude female then asked me for a coupon, I told her I was told by management that a coupon was never required. That’s when I learned they were under new management. She rudely told me they were only honoring the oil change price once and only if the customer had the original coupon. The heavy set female was rude and condescending. I will not ever go back to Christian Brother’s Automotive. I would rather make the heavy traffic 8 mile drive to TAD’Z FASTTRACK Automotive in Flour Bluff (NAS Drive) to see my usual mechanic (Steve McBride) and get excellent customer service, fair prices and quality work.
Im absolutely disgusted with their service. Not sure if they changed hands recently but DO NOT TRUST THEIR REVIEWS. Went in at 8am today with my left rear tire squeaking and hot to the touch. They took 2 hours to diagnose the issue and told me the problem was my front right tire and my break pads. Nothing wrong with the left rear. Wasnt even able to get a quote because everyone was called to the back for a meeting while they were packed and busy. They charged me $75 to get my car back because they diagnosed the problem. Took my car back from them and went to another mechanic who showed me my left rear caliper was seized up and would have eventually caught fire due to the friction. If you value your time, money, or safety, I recommend looking literally anywhere else.
Not pleased with the service. Told them I needed a new battery. Charged me a diagnostic fee. Kept car all day. Suppose to perform a state inspection. Had not done in when went to get car at 6:30. Did it they said. Went to get sticker from H‑E‑B. Had wrong mileage, wrong Vin Number and wrong description of vehicle. Had to go back again and back to H‑E‑B. Very disappointing experience and timely. Employees behind counter laughing and talking while customers were standing there. Very unprofessional. Not cheap and poor service. Battery ended up costing over 400 dollars. Would not recommend.
I was a loyal costumer. Since we moved to Corpus Christi, my husband and I brought our cars to Christian Brothers, so them were the only one who take care of our cars. They used to have very good prices, and their service was good. But today I went because I have my front splash shield hanging and wanted to fix it. They told me that it was broken, so it needed to be replaced or removed. For the replacement they asked me for $826, so I decided to removed it from the car, which means unscrew 3 nails, and for that they charged me $80!!! To despropocionate!!! Time to find another place.... I dont know if the owners or the policies... but the treatment is not the same. I definetely would not recommend it.
Took 1995 Jeep in for AC Freon leak 5/20/20 .. They said problem was compressor even though it blew cool air when charged - replacement performed.AC leaked Freon again recommended other repairs - performed still leaked. Then said issue behind dash assembly- would have to take dash out to repair- promised this would be last AC bill I would be responsible for. Many trips back due to AC not working. Now AC still not working wanted $ 1440. More to replace some lines cooling offered a discount since I was a good customer I reminded them of previous promise of no more AC bills for repair and they responded that was other management they were not responsible- I said ,in my opinion, it was still a Christain Brothers promise they were not honoring. October 2021, declined further work by them and requested all invoices since 5/20/20 in case I was missing some they said they would send , another broken promise- still no invoices. I know they will say my vehicle is old but failure to diagnose properly at my expense is no excuse.
Truly a company with integrity. Great place with family friendly employees. Great service and prices with the feel of a mom and pop auto store.. They even offered my husband a ride home so we didnt have to drive both vehicles in. A small yet significant gesture you dont get from most dealerships. Christian brothers was our go-to vehicle shop when we lived in the Galveston area, so surprised (and relieved) to see one in Corpus!
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. James was very helpful, straight forward, caring and honest. He informed me of things I should get done in the future and was not pushy about getting it done right then and there just to make a sale. They had my car done in a timely manner . I love that they play Christian Contemporary music. Great Customer Service and truly live up to the name. I will be a returning customer and recommend this place. Thank you staff for your exceptional customer service!
Exceptional Service! If you need warranty work (or any work done), I highly recommend taking your car here! Luis was extremely professional and helpful for the duration our car was getting work done. He kept us in the loop regarding his discussions with the warranty company and fought to ensure they covered what they needed to cover after we got ripped off by another location (the dealership). I can’t thank the professionals that work here enough for taking such amazing care of our car. 10/10
I went to Christian Brothers to do my state inspection in 2020, it was fine I guess. But I tried again today and they no longer do any. So I asked for recommendations and they wouldnt give me any, it was pretty obvious he was lying in the interest of business, but now theyre not getting my business ever. I went to Dubs nearby and although they werent doing inspections at the time I visited, they recommended to me TC Auto, which was super fast and painless. I dont understand why Christian Brothers wont give me a referral somewhere else for something they dont even do, its not like theyre losing business or anything. But now they are, because if my car ever has problems I wont be taking it to Christian Brothers. Dont let the name fool you, its a business establishment, theyre not doing it to help customers.
I am grateful for the professionalism of Christian Brothers Automotive. I took my car in for its annual inspection. My car failed because of a worn tire, so I had to replace it. Honesty and integrity are here, so if youre looking for someone to turn a blind eye, I dont think this is the place for you. I also appreciate the low-stress atmosphere, even though the place was packed with customers, both inside and outside. As busy as it was, and with only one dedicated bay that I could tell, the inspections were fast and efficient.
What an amazing place! Was greeted immediately. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Being new to the city of CC I was very nervous... not knowing where to take my car in to be serviced. Christian Brothers came highly recommended and the experience was on point. I will definitely continue to give them my Business... Blessed to feel so welcomed not knowing what to expect in a new city.
Excellent service overall! New into town and had no idea about certain parking. I went inside for about a minute and a towing company was already towing my car. Long story short, Christian Brothers helped me throughout the whole process. They treated me like family. I can tell when I was waiting inside how they take the time to greet every person who walks in there door. I will definitely be going back for all my services.
Went in for a headlight adjustment for my Ford F150 since I needed one done due to getting a 2 inch level for my truck as well as replacing the headlight assembly myself. It was also very embarrassing getting flashed from multiple vehicles daily! I at first tried to perform the adjustment myself then became very agitated due to this particular headlight adjustment assembly had no instructions that came with it. At this point I reached out to multiple businesses here in town & either they couldnt or wouldnt do it. I started to give up hope & was going to reinstall my original headlights back in when I decided to call Christian Brothers.. I spoke with a gentleman by the name of Justin and when I told him the issue I was having with adjusting my headlights he immediately knew how to resolve the issue! He informed me I was having a hard time with this particular assembly was due to the fact it was a newer version & probably wouldnt find anything online for help. Let me tell you its such a great feeling to know our beautiful city has an amazing automative center to help us in need! Furthermore its not very common when you find a customer representative who is very knowledgeable about issues regarding your vehicle. He reassured me that they would properly adjust both my headlights, and that they most certainly did. I can now drive around town not worried about blinding the oncoming drivers! I would like to thank you for performing such an amazing job & as well as preventing me from getting any more grey hair!!! 😆
I went in only for my inspection but had questions on a quote for my AC. They were very busy but still looked into it. Service was very professional, I loved that they made sure to keep me updated on the AC check. I did get the AC fixed. They gave me an awesome price and now it works!! I do recommend them! They seem very busy but well worth the wait! The even offer to drive you home if it will take a while. Thank you!
I love this place! I have been treated so nice! The guys here are awesome! They took care of me here, and they have been available for me each and every time I needed anything at all! Great job fixing my FJ that was completely rusted out underneath. It was a dirty job, and Christian Brothers handled it without any issues! Thank you for saving my FJ!
I had a serious issue with my vehicle that needed immediate attention. They quickly took my vehicle in and although they were not able to finish the repair before they closed, they were able to have my pickup ready by 8:45 am the next day. I was really in a transportation crisis but Rick Garcia offered to take me to an eye appointment that I had scheduled. Great service and the entire staff at Christian Brothers were polite and professional. Their price for my service was a little steep, but they stand behind their work and are extremely customer oriented. I would recommend them for all your service needs.
The best experience Ive had for any of my automotive needs. Last year was my first time coming for an inspection and for a headlight change. From the greeting, going out of their way to provide a refreshing water on a really hot day, great customer service is provided bar none. They stand by their excellent work and provide great pricing!! I cant stress enough the relief they bring knowing your vehicle is in good hands. Christian Brothers have the utmost respect for their customers providing exceptional service for all your service needs. Thank you to all staff and personnel. My family will continue to come for all services needed. Thank you for the ice to my yeti, as well.
I paid $81.00 for them to take my truck back and look at it for 15 mins and tell me my OTHER battery was bad and that the one they installed the week prior was good. The battery that I paid $350.00 for them to replace and install. Lol. You got me THIS time…time to change to another repair facility.
I went in for an inspection on my vehicle and they had me in and out in 10 minutes. They were extremely helpful and friendly and treated me like a human being as opposed to just another customer. They have a young lady named Maria that is awesome and that is honest,friendly & knowledgeable at her job. These people were honest & affordable. I was even given a free oil change card which is super helpful as i drive everywhere for my job. I strongly recommend Christian Brothers & will go nowhere else for any vehicle needs. A++ to these folks and thank you kindly 👏 👏 👏
Update 10/08/2020I reached out to the email address provided and I did receive a call from a couple of people.. overall still waiting for a resolution but at this point I’m done with it .. they can keep the money but I will never do business with them again..Not impressed.. dont get me wrong they were considerably cheaper than the dealer but I found them on repair pal that provided an estimate for repair services.. I had my car diagnosed at the dealer and chose not to have it serviced there because they were charging an outrageous amount.. so I came across this place that was recommended by repair pal because they would honor the quote. So after we received the actual quote I emailed them and sent the repair pal quote, never received a call back. I called over the phone and never got an answer about honoring the quote. My car was going to be ready on Tuesday then was told not til Thursday mind u we never got a call to pick up the car, we had to call them. Overall, this place was more affordable than the dealer and they fixed my problem but if you are expecting your car fast and want them to honor the quote then try another shop on the list.
Great quality of service especially during the Covid-19 pandemic. The staff is really professional and kind. However I dealt with Luis specifically for my Mustang and Audi for all services and he handled everything fantastically he’s always working with you to get you the best deals and moves at proficient rate. Great job to this company.
These guys are awesome! Entire staff is super friendly, really makes you feel welcome and know that they appreciate your business. Prices are awesome and their service is quick :) I love that they call you a few days after youve been there to check and see if everything is good with your vehicle. Initially, I brought my jeep into Christian Brothers to have diagnostics done to see why all my warning lights were coming on, after I applied my parking brakes. After diagnostics was completed, it was determined that all my censors needed to be replaced. I was contacted the next day by the service manager, who informed me that while their mechanics were working on it, for some unknown reason, my jeep suffered catastrophic engine failure, and would require a new engine. After speaking to the owner, Daniel Murlkey, in reference to all the repairs that needed to be done on my jeep, he stated he would guarantee that everything would be fixed at no cost to me, out of the kindness of his heart. With the holidays just around the corner, Daniel and his team at Christian Brothers have demonstrated the true meaning of giving during these troubled times. I consider Christian Brothers to be an honest reputable business, which displays good character and integrity, not only to their customers, but to the community. I would highly recommend this company to anyone needing repairs or any other service done to their vehicles.
I just want to say I was very pleased with your associates. They were very professional and courteous. I went in for a state inspection and was informed some of the dash lites were on and which would not pass inspection. They looked at it and found I just needed brake fluid and passed the inspection. They went beyond the call of duty and cleared all the lights on my dash. This being my first time there I definitely will consider this shop the next time I need anything done on my vehicles. The guys are very courteous! I have been coming here for years and have always been satisfied. No surprise charges and they dont try to add to my bill. I trust them...and I love having my car brought to the front door when it is done. Just overall good customer service!
VERY impressive customer service. Price is steep and I couldn’t afford it so I went somewhere else, but the manager was willing to accept half down with a payment plan. However, I still could not afford that alternative. Clean facility, and they offer a shuttle service if you need to get anywhere while your car is being maintained.
My initial interaction with Christian brothers was not a good one. However, the team at Christian brothers automotive made sure to reach out to me and help give me an all around better value for the service that was provided on my car. Their team is very friendly and professional. They warranty all their work for 3 years or 36,000 miles. If you want your vehicle fixed fast, and have the ease of mind with the warranty that comes with it, then I would 10/10 recommend Christian Brothers Automotive.
Have been going here for a long time but they changed management and service has gone down. They always check fluid levels and top off when I got an oil change. This time I even mentioned that my wiper fluid was low. They didn’t check nor did they add. Just changed oil and that was that. No longer a follow up call to see how my service was. Not the same place....

I came here two different times for work on my vehicle and an inspection. The first time my vehicle had broken down and they helped me out with dealing with me being frantic and stressed out about this, taking my repeated calls throughout the day, and making sure I was always safe getting to and from their facility. They made this horrible experience so much better with great customer service and they genuinely care about the people that walk through their doors. A few weeks later, I came back to get an inspection and they remembered me by name and took great care of me again.I highly recommend Christian Brothers Automotive off of Staples. They are wonderful!!
We came to Christian Brothers on Wednesday night around 5:15pm leaking, more like pouring, oil due to a Take 5 oil change mistake earlier in the day. Walked in, gave them the overview, and they immediately had 4 technicians out looking at our car. We were leaving on vacation at 10am on Thursday and had the whole car parked to go, so the timeline was short. They were able to get the part we needed by 6pm, which was broke by Take 5, and started working on the vehicle at 7am Thursday morning. They completed a 4+ hour repair in under 2.5 hours and got us on our way... ON TIME! Can’t say enough how absolutely professional, sincere, and amazing the whole team was!
This was my 1st visit and the staff there was exceptional! They went out of their way to make up for a part snafu, and even had my daughter and I delivered and picked up from the theater since we were running out of time. They made a ton of brownie points in my book.The waiting room is comfortable and the restroom is very clean.The prices are decent and they are now my Forever automotive shop!
Christian Brothers is amazing! I walked in and was greeted and helped immediately. I must say this has NEVER have happened at another automotive. Within 30 minutes they changed my oil and replaced 2 lights. I must say this is the fastest and best service I have EVER had. I definitely recommend coming here! After over $10,000 in repairs over the course of 2020, I got my car back in the condition I had originally taken it to them in.I drive a 2010 MINI Cooper. I originally took it to them at the recommendation of a relative of mine so they could look at my brakes. It seemed that the brake job had gone well, so when my engine started misfiring and my Check Engine light came on, I brought it back to them.A couple weeks later, I got a call that the engine in my car had blown up while they were trying to find the source of the misfires. So, with my engine officially done for, I had no choice but to have them replace it. I wish I had known better.The rest of our relationship (of course, AFTER I had paid them $8000+ to replace the engine), I was constantly passed around between people, and thats when I could even get through without being told Id be called back ASAP. It would be a week-and-a-half at times before I would even get those calls back, all the while they had my car and I had almost no means of transportation to work and I had no more information on my cars issues.Somehow they either managed to botch the first engine replacement or actually got a bad engine. Either way, they put a second one in my car.While I had my car for this bout, it had gotten stuck in neutral and I became stranded in Flour Bluff in the middle of the night. The next day, I called them and had the vehicle towed back to their shop to figure out why. Apparently, a grommet had fallen out. They fixed that and towed it for free, with good reason, because it was their mistake to begin with--one that only cost me leaving my car overnight in a coffee shop parking lot that Id pushed it to.Soon enough, I started having misfires again with a Check Engine light. I took it back to them because my engine was warrantied.Lather, rinse, repeat: they had the vehicle for months and I had little to no communication until I got pushy and started calling several times a week, and in some cases, I had to call a couple times a day to even hope for an update. I understand I drive a foreign car whose maintenance was difficult and parts were hard to find, but it made me realize that they didnt know what they were doing, especially when they warrantied the engine to replace it and apparently had to REPLACE IT AGAIN AFTER THAT. They have put four engines in my car at this point, and I hadnt even had the opportunity to drive it enough to cause a problem each time.I finally got the car back with its fourth engine, and within miles, my brake and ABS lights were on again and my brakes werent working well at all. For some reason, I thought it would be a good idea to take it back to them to look at, and they told me there might have been a recall on something having to do with the brakes, so I let them keep it over the weekend to continue to look into it.I started doing my own research. There were no recalls on my car.Heres the best part: I went to pick up the car the following Monday. I waited for probably 20-30 minutes in their lobby before they had it ready for me, which I didnt understand until later that day. I hadnt started it myself when I picked it up because they do a sort of valet handoff, where they bring the car to you at their front door. When I tried to start my car later that day, the battery was dead. Sure wouldve been nice if they told me that before I got stranded yet again, but it seemed that they jumped it and didnt tell me.Oh yeah, and my engine is misfiring again.Id suggest taking your car anywhere else in the city for repairs so you dont also pay as much as I did to get your car back in worse condition. I work in the service industry, and made the mistake of trying to be understanding of the difficulty and slowness in figuring out the problems in my vehicle before getting back to me, but after spending over $10,000 for repairs that feel like they never happened, I feel lied to, taken advantage of, and stupid for not seeing sooner that they had no idea what they were doing.Be better Christian Brothers Automotive.
When I first arrived in the area I needed to get an oil change and several people recommended this place. Boy am I glad I listened. The staff was warm and friendly and the estimate was exactly what I was charged no hidden costs or surprises. When my brakes on my 5 yr old dodge started to give me problems I went to them again and again the staff that I came in contact was welcoming the job was going to take some time so they gave me a ride back to my condo on the island and called when the car was ready and came and picked me up. Again the bill was exactly as quoted. Job well done thank you
LUIS is who I had the pleasure dealing with!!!I was literally almost brought to tears... Christian Brothers automotive to me is the best because of trust...I go in needing a tail light repaired... There was a miscommunication when it came to pricing...and when I brought it to the managers attention regarding the bill he totally understood where I was coming from and was more than willing to help me.Not only did he see the miscommunication and charges but he totally made it right and charged me significantly less than I had originally anticipated....You have no idea how much I trust Christian Brothers and that is very hard to do in the car repair industry...I took my car in previously another time for freon and when I went to pay I had a $0 bill due and was told that there was no leak and dont worry about it they put Freon in my car no charge....This is the second time I have been extremely impressed with Christian Brothers!!! I always take my car here for anything I need especially my inspection sticker which I need to get done again lolIn conclusion I highly recommend Christian Brothers and I will always trust them with my automotive issues!!!I highly recommend dealing with Luis if you have any automotive problems... Love going to this place. They have the best customer service all around town. Greeted with a nice welcome and smile every time you enter the door. The personnel is awesome! I take all my vehicles to get serviced here. Give them a try you will not regret it. I had my State inspection done with Christian Brothers Corpus Christi and will never go anywhere else for ANY service to my vehicle. They were done with quickly and made me feel right at home. Extraordinary customer service skills by ALL employees. I came to have my truck inspected and they found that my brakes were bad. I had previous knowledge that I needed to get new brakes someday, but it was great to have that reminder from a reputable company. I dropped the truck off and the service driver, Ricky, gave me a ride home. Ricky also picked me up at my house and brought me back to the shop. I am pleased with the work on my brakes and they feel new! I also received a military discount! Superior customer service throughout my experience at this shop, from the front desk, the service technicians, the management, to the service driver! If I need further work on my vehicle, I will be contacting James and his crew at Christian Brothers Automotive!
Very friendly staff, prompt service, great communication, and really liked seeing staff hustling making the most of the customers time. Luis at the front desk was very knowledgeable and able to explain things to me in a way that was easy to understand. I never felt pressured to have any type of service done and I felt like he genuinely cared about me as a customer. I would highly recommend.
After trying several times to get my oil changed, due to constant business, I finally got there early. The people, staff, were outstanding. Attentive, informative, and super knowledgeable. I did a quick Google Search for a vehicle inspection, read the positive reviews, and drove immediately. Even though there were 3 customers, I was seen within 5 minutes and out within 10 minutes. Extremely friendly and positive staff. I went here because it was the first place that came up when I was looking for a place to take my car. They were super busy and quoted me an hour wait, but it only took 30 minutes and they made sure I was taken care of while I waited.Customer service can make or break a place and this place definitely had the best customer service. 11/10 would recommend.
I had a oil change done on my automobile and it was the first time I have used Christian Brothers Automotive. The service writers are very courteous and friendly. I had a coupon special for a very good price. As of what I know of the place they do have special pricing deals all the time. They are very busy so you will usually have a wait.
Went in for a state inspection and was greeted by the friendliest staff I’ve seen in a long time. They were all professional and service minded. Witnessed kindness to another customers while I waited. I was only there 20 minutes but was offered water several times. I will definitely be back for auto care.Thank you all!!! I went in for an oil change and it was quick and easy. But I’m giving two stars because while under my hood they checked my air filters and told me I needed those changed but I decided to wait on it. Once I was home I opened up the hood to see if I could just blow out the filter and discovered that not only was my filter fine, they had stripped my screws and left half of the cables UNPLUGGED! I’m very disappointed that they would just leave my car like that and let me drive home with it left taken apart.Wether or not it was an accident or just lazy mechanics, it’s not something that makes me want to come back.
My check engine light came on about 4 weeks ago so I took it in. They told me the diagnostic test (which I never saw) read a failing cam sensor so CBA replaced it: $300. My truck drove fine after that for a week, then the check engine light came back on. I dropped it off first thing on a Tuesday morning and then things started to sour. First, it took CBA over a day to do a simple diagnostic test. Then, when they diagnosed the problem (and I didn’t see the results of this test either) they failed to contact me—I had to call twice to see what was going on: failing fuel injectors. I told them to replace them and they ordered the parts. After not hearing from them for over a day, I called back and they told me the parts were slow in arriving, and once the parts did arrive one was damaged. Ok, not CBA’s fault, but the lack of contact with me is unprofessional. Also, this delay meant they weren’t able to finish replacing the fuel injectors until the following Monday—6 days after I left it with them (which left my family and I with one car). To CBA’s credit they cut a couple hundred dollars off the price, but I still paid over $1000. Now, less than a week after getting back my truck the check engine light has come on again. I feel stuck between two options: don’t take it back because it I’m wondering if I can trust them, or take it back and be pushy because it doesn’t appear they’ve actually taken care of the problem. If CBA can make this right, I’ll happily update my review and adjust my score accordingly.
This is the only shop I will take my car. I have used them a few times for issues with my vehicle. The first was after having been to 2 or 3 places that told me diagnostics alone would cost a couple hundred dollars. I decided to try Christian Brothers Automotive before pulling the plug and handing over my money to the other places. Randy helped me every time and was honest about the simple fixes needed; saving me so much money and time!!! The mechanics are always incredibly fast as well! The customer service is consistently amazing and most importantly the employees are honest about whats wrong with your vehicle. By far the best experience and most trustworthy place in Corpus Christi!!!
Sons truck broke down Thanksgiving weekend. We chose this place last minute without much thought. Fortunately, we were very lucky that we did! It wasnt an easy fix and Ray kept us updated on everything. He was prompt in returning calls and couldnt have been nicer in our dealings with him. The two times I had to stop by the shop, everyone I came in to contact with were very welcoming and patient. I highly recommend this place!
I highly recommend Christian Brothers for all your automotive needs. They are professional, courteous and offer quality service at a reasonable price. They are willing to work with you and answer any questions you may have. They also offer free taxi service while your car is in the shop.
Very friendly, and caring. We drove a long way and they made sure we were comfortable, gave us food and waters. Drove us across town to our hotel and picked us up and brought us back at no extra charge. They kept us updated often and consulted us before they did anything and took pictures of all the issues. They were very thorough and got our brakes fixed and safe for our 1200 mile trip back home. So glad we discovered them. A pleasure to work with a real light in the darkness.
I went in for an inspection sticker and didnt expect to get the excellent service I got. It was during the Covid-19 pandemic and they were all wearing gloves and masks. They had us sitting outside in some comfy chairs and it was actually a nice 68 degrees so it felt nice. They said it would take about 30 minutes but ended up only being 10-15 minutes. I will continue to send our vehicles over to them. They seem honest and good people.
Very fast and very professional. While getting the recommended service for the car at 88,000 miles cost a great deal more than expected, the new battery, changing the fluids and plugs should get us another 88,000 miles. We felt safe driving through the torrential rains of tropical storm Imelda last night in San Antonio.
Update 2/11/2021: They no longer do state inspections.Haven’t had any work done here yet. I brought my car in, thinking I needed my brakes replaced. They did a free brake check and said I don’t need new brakes yet and wouldn’t sell me something I don’t need. Their integrity has earned me as a future customer.
One of the best Automotive shops Ive ever dealt with! They were able to get me in on a rather short notice and had my car back to me in less then 24hrs(my air suspension system was having issues). All the employees I dealt with were extremely courteous and happy to help in any way they could. The biggest reason this will be the only place I service both my vehicles is they didnt try to up sell me or find random things that needed repair. They took an honest look at my car and found exactly what the issue was and got it fixed. No run arounds and no BS issues to try and get more money out of me. I couldnt be happier with my experience!
What can I possibly say that hasnt been said about these awesome mechanics. Had my first experience with them. To say I was treated with the utmost respect is...was an understatement. I had an oil change done and it was fast. What really impressed me was that I was given a service coupon. They actually wanted me to save money on the service appointment. Ladies this should be the only place we should go to. I had a mechanic and Im ditching a friend and switched to Christian brothers. Tell your friends this is the only place to take your car or truck. I stopped in to get my car inspection. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The wait time was better than expected. I kinda wish they would have taken longer because the leather chair in the wait room was awesome! Will definately use them in the future for all my auto needs.
They are actually honest, trustworthy mechanics. They have always treated me like family and had my best interest in mind. Im so confident in their honesty, I send my mother to them as well. They are little pricey for some things but you get what you pay for. They also have a shuttle that makes things so much easier.
Mine was a simple vehicle inspection. The employees are friendly and very courteous. It was a hot day and the cold bottle of water was a welcomed surprise. The service was super fast. I was in and out in 20 minutes or so. I’m a repeat customer and I will continue to be one.
Went to three other places to try and get an inspection, the others were ‘typical’ auto shops, dirty smelly and at least a 2 hour wait. So called Christian Brothers, the man who answered the phone was soooo nice and welcoming that I decided to head over. They offered me water, the lounge area smelled wonderful, was clean and felt like a living room! They were fast, courteous and the same price as the dirty shops. Pulled my car around right to the front door after and thanked me. I’ll never go anywhere else in CC!
I came in at 5:28 PM, asked when they stop doing inspections and they told me 5:30 PM. I turned to leave, because every other inspection place I had gone to (4 others) had turned me away if I was less than 10 minutes till close of their inspections. Then they said they would get it done! I was able to relax in their clean and comfy waiting room while my truck was inspected. Everyone there was extremely welcoming and pleasant. They went above and beyond to turn my day around, and they did!
Wasted time and money here because the associates couldn’t come to a consensus. I’m staying in corpus temporarily and needed an inspection. First guy told me it couldn’t be done because my county requires different testing than what is done here. Second guy says it absolutely can be done and runs to someone else to get verification. They decide that the inspection can be done and long story short, I cannot register my car until I go back to my actual county to get an inspection thus leading to wasted money and an hour of my time. I emailed them to let them know and have received no response. Completely unprofessional.
Excellent red carpet treatment from point A to Z! I drove in from 200 miles away when my vehicle began to stall. I was nervous about driving into an unfamiliar location, but extremely blessed to have it be Christian Brothers Automotive. They took excellent care of me and my vehicle! Took less than 30 minutes to get the oil changed on my vehicle. Very clean business in the waiting area and in all the stalls. Will definitely return. I had to show up with my baby girl, I asked for a paper to fan her off because she was sweating while she napped and they brought out a whole fan for her!! They have very very good customer service and they do a really good job at a great price!! Will definitely come back even though we live almost an hour away!❤️
Great service! Honest folks here that didnt try to sell me what I didnt need but made me aware of things I should consider in the future. The techs were polite and courteous and respectful of my vehicle and I didnt drive away feeling like Id just been robbed. Id highly recommend servicing your vehicle here!
CB is always quick and efficient with an appointment. My husband and I live out of town and have used CB for a couple of years now. I wish we would have been told the lobby was closed before coming today. I had to sit outside in the wind and dampness. I could have brought a jacket!
My granddaughter is a freshman in college & was petrified about being alone & in her own when she took her car to be serviced. Afterwards, she called & was surprised at how nice & polite they were to her. The service was Amazing & the price was fair with quick turnaround time. We customers for life!
Went here with a problem with my car (fuel issue) and they supposedly fixed it for $1000 (it was a minor repair). Maybe a month later, the problem was there again so they said they would look at it again since I was just there. They charged me another $800 to do what they just did again. Guess what...I still have a problem. Took it to a different shop and had it fixed in no time. No more problem. I wonder how many times they were going to keep having us come back before actually fixing the problem.
They are absolutely AMAZING. They are fast, polite, and display the best customer service I have ever experienced. I highly recommend them for any auto services needed. I had a oil leak and they filled it for me for free when I brought it back to them. Their generosity is outstanding and I can’t express enough how thankful I am to have discovered their services. This auto shop is well organized and they get the job done quick. I had a alignment done and its still together, i have try other shops and the alignment didnt last 4 months so you get what you paid for. New shop i always take my everywhere, everything i do vehicle first.
We have just moved to the area and were needing a mechanic to fix/repair damages another mechanic had done to our car. Art and Matt were beyond helpful they have no idea how much they mean to us, I cant thank them enough !! The people here are very professional and understanding. The entire staff was amazing, especially Arturo and Matilda. I was in town for a conference and my power steering went out on the last two hours of my drive from Dallas to Corpus Christi. I checked Yelp to find a mechanic and Christian Brothers Automotive had the highest rating. I called in and spoke to James and quickly found out why. They are knowledgeable, friendly, and kind. When I got to CBA the next day, Art got me checked in and offered a ride back to my conference. Matilda was so sweet on the ride back, giving me a history of the area and sharing a few laughs along the way to brighten my day. Over the next two days Art keep me up to date on the repairs, eventually discovering a special coverage issue with my car that a dealership should fix for free. Not satisfied with the great job they had already done, Art called and checked with dealerships in the area that might be able to help with the repair and provided me with names and contact numbers of service coordinators that could help. Matilda helped me get to the dealership and handle the paperwork necessary to repair the car and stopped to let me get something to eat, as I hadn’t all day working on getting my car situated. Car repair is always stressful, add to that to being out of town, and preparing to present at a conference, my stress level was high, but knowing I had CBA in my corner made all the difference. They truly lived up to the “C” in their name and made a stressful situation more manageable. I can’t recommend them highly enough for their kindness, integrity, technical expertise, and professionalism. I am forever grateful.
Cristian Brothers Automotive is definitely the best place in town to repair any problem you may have with your vehicle. Trying to find a good shop here in Corpus isn’t easy, but this shop is awesome. Here, they treat you like family and do everything they can to get your car back on the road. I wouldn’t consider going to a different shop, Christian brothers definitely has my business.

I had taken my car into get work done on my advisor was great but failed to tell me that they snapped one of my bolts off I would have never know this is if I didn’t do the oil change the next day and was made aware. Then when we agreed of replacing the whole manifold come out they took the cheaper route and cut into my manifold and replaced the bolts and did a horrible job of welding it back together. I will not be going back to this shop if they didn’t notify me about my snapped bolts I wonder what else they have gotten away with.
Best place in town for state inspections. I was in there for about 20 minutes. Stopped at 4 other places between flour bluff and staples before I found Christian Brothers. Very professional establishment. I was treated with respect and recommend for anyone to come here with your automotive needs. Cold water with company logo is nice touch also.
Since they have opened near my residence, I have brought many of my vehicles for service. They have always been punctual, their rates are fair and they are transparent with what services are being done. I know for certain they do not pressure people into purchasing services they are not in need of, this is definitely a place I would feel safe sending my mother or grandmother alone. Thank you!
Took my truck in for routine maintenance, they suggested additional services, I agreed, they charged overly high prices.They did not perform the services they charged for, I took it back, they did the work. When I arrived home, my truck was leaking fuel and trans fluid. I took the filter housing apart to find they had damaged it severely, I took it back, they damaged the harness and Sensors, they suggested replacing the harness, they cut and spliced the new harness and charged me for a full installation, they left an oil line loose and it leaked oil all over my new engine and the undercarriage, I took it in and let them look at it, a mechanic tried to say the leak was due to my work on the truck, I suggested they credit the last charge of nearly $2000,00.No refund, no repair, I fixed it myself for $4.00Close to $4,000.00 for a filter and fluid change and I am still correcting the broken itemsThey do not live up to their mission statement
We brought our 2007 Nissan Pathfinder to the Corpus Christi location, the vehicle was in bad shape, but we were given good information, excellent customer service and now have a reliable car to transport our family in. I personally thank Daniel and Brian for great communication and follow up. We are customers from now on and I highly recommend you take your vehicles to Christian Brothers.
This is the most honest, trustworthy repair shop I have come across in Corpus Christi. Yes, they may not have the cheapest prices, but in no way are their prices outrageous. To top it off the work I had done has a 2 year, 24,000 mile warranty, whichever is longer! Thank you Ray and the team at Christian Brothers for taking care of my very difficult car issues!

Was sent over there due to my second party insurance extend warranty! Customer Service was crazy nobody knew exactly what was going on with my vehicle. I was throwing different quotes on repairing my vehicle 600 . To install a window mortar the part was only 147 I feel was over charge was well !! There Labor rate is very expensive over price ..
My vehicle had a very bad misfire so I had to get it towed at night to this establishment. The next morning they threw on some spark plugs and it did not fix the problem so they suggested a leak down test which then the mechanic stated, I believe your cylinder rings are worn and I would have to rebuild that Cylinder. Scared I called my mechanic (60 Miles away) and they suggested I tow my vehicle over there for a second opinion. Turns out it was a bad coil and that the valves and cylinders were fine. Paying $350 for stuff I didnt need and cost for towing my vehicle 60 miles did make me mad. With that being said I do still give them 3 stars because they are one of the friendliest staff Ive met. Maybe the mechanic was having an off day.
Christian Brothers Automotive in CC has been fantastic when it came to issue with our van. Prompt and courteous. Their waiting area is well maintained and very inviting. Wonderful services available, such as given you rides home or to work, etc. Previous and current owner are amazing! We’ve been going strong for 2 years now.
This place is a real class act within the automotive services! They opened their shop yesterday for a free oil change service to the military community and they did not use just any oil, they used full synthetic oil for the service. Again, this was a testament of going above and beyond. The staff members were very nice and professional. As I looked around their business office, I saw trophies and other proofs that signified this business’ commitment to quality work, customer service and the community. To the management and staff of Christian Brothers, thank you for your noble services to those who provide services for this country and the world!
Staff was excellent. Very friendly , polite and prompt. The shop was great was an open floor plan so you can see everything letting you know they are not hiding anything. Shop was well organized. The staff informed me on what my truck might need but did not push or make me feel uncomfortable.
Very professional. Friendly employees. Clean waiting room. I was offered coffee or water. I loved the music playing. Comfy furniture to sit on while waiting. Best part...they drove my car to the door when it was ready! AND...the floor to the drivers side had a cover on it! Almost forgot...I was in and out in 30 minutes...that was amazing! I won’t go into the details but first time using this company and I’m extremely pleased. I usually take my car to the dealer in SA for service but didn’t have time so this place was recommended. There was a hick-up and they went above anything I expected. Staff is extremely polite, respectful and professional. Customer Service is Outstanding!
I have been there three times to get car registration. I had just moved here and the first time I went to Goodyear and had aTERRIBLE experience. Christian Brothers were not only quick but extremely honest. My son in law is a mechanic so he has fixed the few problems I have had. BUT... one of these days I will most likely need them. I completely trust them and will always go there! Thank you for not taking advantage of me and making life more difficult! I also will ALWAYS recommend you to friends, people at work etc.... ALWAYS🤗
Edit(12/18/19): Ive been taking my car there because they have owed me free oil changes due to a technician not setting my brake and my car rolling into traffic. But when I took my car yesterday(12/17/19) I was immediately approached as soon as I parked my car and got out. I get that they want to get people in line in their system immediately, but it was cold and the guy was rushing me through questions. I could not tell him to leave the previous stickers from past oil changes on the window, or ask him to let me know when my car was on the lift so I could look under it. After one more oil change, I will be going elsewhere or doing it myself. I dont like being talked to outside in the cold, and especially not when Ive only been out of my vehicle .5 seconds.They are quick to get the job done, but they also make sure its done right the first time. My car is low to the ground so I dont get to check the undercarriage when Id like. CBA lets me check to make sure everything is good, and nothing broken. Great atmosphere and attention to detail.
Christian Brothers has become our go to for our automotive care. They are consistent. Always knowledgeable, professional, and take the time to communicate what is going on with our vehicles. I appreciate that the are honest & understand that sometimes we don’t have the money budgeted to fix everything. Then they break it down in order of urgency for the function of our vehicles. They have earned our business & we will continue to use them in the future.
UPDATED @ BOTTOMWent to Christian Brothers to get a wheel alignment. After more than an hour I was told that there was something I needed to change out; a siezed tie rod sleeve that wouldnt move before I could get it aligned.Took my truck to my mechanic, got it fixed. Returned a couple days to get it aligned.Waited over an hour, THEN was told I needed to change out a lower ball joint! So I couldnt get it aligned once again. OMG. Why didnt the mechanic tell me all that was wrong with it first time? The mechanic shouldve done a thorough look over the entire front end the first time. I am getting the lower ball joint fixed Monday. I dont feel confident taking it back to get the alignment. I am thinking there might be something else theyll find that will hinder the wheels from getting aligned that was not told to me the second time. Everyone was in the front office hearing what was going on, manager, owner. No one said anything to me for my inconvenience. I know they heard me because my voice carries(Retired Army Veteran) well. I could tell they were trying hard not to address the issue/ignore what had happened. I walked outside waited for my truck. The front desk guy that pulled my truck up outside to the front where I was waiting. He was the ONLY one to apologize for the inconvenience. A well deserved and much needed to apology. If he wouldnt have said anything, no one would have. His courteousness alone should put him in a higher position there because apparently not even the manager or owner didnt have the courage to admit to their mistake, hearing what had went on.Should I go back to get the wheel alignment done?Will the third time be a charm?This review should be used as a learning tool and should be related to their mechanics. After a problem is found, they should not stop but continue to check the vehicle(s) thoroughly for more errors. So they can addressed every issue at once.UPDATE: I took my vehicle back the third time to get my alignment finally done. Let me first state that I noticed a huge difference coming in through the front door. Christian Brothers staff has always been great at greeting whomever walks in but sometimes, we ALL(you reading this too) can get a little complacent. Especially once we fall into a routine. Its too easy. Everyone seemed more ALIVE, HELPFUL, most importantly, SINCERE about greeting/helping me and everyone that walked in after I arrived . +BIG PLUS+My vehicle was taken in less than 4 minutes(couldve been faster) after arrival and put on a lift, awesome( I thought to myself)! I was kept informed of the progress of the wheel alignment by Rey, the Service Advisor, because I had to pick up my daughter within an hour. He was awesome, asked me if I needed anything and kept me informed like every 10 minutes, which I did not mind at all..considering the child pick up circumstances I was under. I was in and out within maybe 35 to 40 minutes. At check out Rey and the older gentleman that works beside were sincerely apologetic on behalf of the Christian Brothers for the whole ordeal that happened the first and second time of my visit. I told Rey and his co-worker that I really appreciated the apology, that it meant alot. They went above and beyond service when I went to pay for the alignment because they said it was on the house, free. No charge! I was completely floored and at a loss for words. It was all for the big inconvenience. This says alot about how serious these guys take their job and the owners. They take their business to heart and helping make sure their customers are treated like family and make sure things are corrected and even . I dont think anyone else in town would ever have done this. Let alone make things right and correct even if it was their mistake. I dont mean to carry on, but I am overwhelmingly satisfied and impressed with the service and how they responded to a customers feedback being that some businesses dont even bother to read any review.Special thanks to Rey, and Chrsitian Brothers, you guys have a customer for life. If I could give it a 0 stars i would. Went in to get a simple diagnosis and was told my fuel pump was bad. My boyfriend and I went in to double verify that it was the fuel pump and not anything else Ray said it is the passenger fuel pump and that is it. Well we took it to get fix at a dealership. That was our second fuel pump in 1 month that was bad.Once I called to talk to someone I was told that I was the one in the wrong and that ray said that its was a start to the problem. If they knew more than they could have told me the rest of the problems. And to top it off when I picked up my car nothing was put back into the original places that I brought it in. The seat was not bolted in, the fuel pump top was not screwed in, the hood was still open a bit, and the battery was not hooked up. Im very disappointed in my experience.
I have been a repeat customer for years now and no it has never been for me to take my vehicle back in because the vehicle wasn’t fixed right the first time. I just love the name “Christian Brothers”, the way you are treated the moment you walk in the door and the promptness of service when fixed right the first time. I was controller over the Ford/Lincoln dealership in Calallen and nothing is more important than technicians doing their jobs promptly and correctly the first time. I give kuddos to these guys and an overall 5 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ for the from service writers who are highly knowledged and know what they are talking about. You are in good hands!
I used to take my cars to Christian Brother, but not anymore. They took advantage of my wife not knowing much about mechanical issues. They told her the battery needed to be replaced when it was in perfect working conditions. They presented the battery issue as if the battery would be dying in few days and needed to be replaced immediately. So disappointed.
Stopped by because our ride was not feeling well. The personal at front desk were very professional and friendly.. They gave us a courteous ride to their suggested restaurant while the service techs made the repairs.Kudos to them for getting us fixed, back on the road in a very timely manner. They have got to be the most DISHONEST people I’ve ever had to deal with. I took my car to get my AC fixed and when we got back the “fixed” vehicle it only took a couple of days for the AC to go back once again. We took it back to them to let them know and they tried charging us another $1200 for a job they failed to do correctly when they had already charged us i believe $900 for the original part that needed to be fixed. We took the vehicle to another mechanic to check if they had done anything to my vehicle and sure enough they told us that the part that they “fixed” was the reason the AC wasn’t working. We had been coming to this place for a few years now and ever since a new owner came in all they do is scam people. From a personal experience I’d say stay away from this place and save you some money on mechanics who are actually trustworthy.
I went in for an oil change and an inspection and they were very friendly and quick! They asked if I wanted to wait or have them give me a call when it was done and I said to just give me a call when it was ready. They offered to give me a ride to where I needed to go, but I had said it was ok. Before my ride came, my vehicle was done and I was on my way.
Soooo I was helped by Christian and they were going to do a diagnostics on my car, unfortunately my issue has to do with programming specific to my dealership but if they couldn’t fix it they weren’t going to charge me. I think that was really nice of them to let me know the problem and to still help me out even when they couldn’t. So far I like them. Would recommend
Terrible experience. Vehicle worked all day perfectly fine, then when I show up to get my vehicle inspected is stops working? They then tell me they need to charge me to get it to work again. I said no jump start it and let me go. I went home, and never had a problem with the vehicle. But while I was there it randomly doesn’t work, and they need money.
I will never recommend anyone to your business. I was mistaken by thinking your establishment is respectful and honest. I needed brakes for my vehicle and the associate stated he could not let my car be released due to condition. My bill was 700 and statement states break flush 22 dollars and labor 100 dollars. This establishment is overpriced and I am highly disappointed. It was a terrible experience and this shop is not a trustworthy business.
Great service! Our sons car broke down in Corpus. They worked with us by telephone from Austin. They towed his car to their shop and finished repair in record time. When we arrived to pick up the car they had it out front and ready to go after we paid. Took no more than ten minutes. We will use this company again.
Vehicle Inspection NOV 2017- Great customer service that is why they get one star.I went to get an inspection and fail due to the third brake light. The estimate for the repair, $300, so i inspected the light, all that was wrong was that it wasnt plugged in, huh. The third brake light cost about $100 online, so $200 for labor. May be the third time is the charm.Brake pads and Rotors-Great costumer service, but not a good outcome to my experience. I took my car in so they could check the rotors and the brakes on the front passenger side. They recommend to replace all four rotors and pads, which was great advise. The only part I didnt like was that they wanted to charge over 1200 dollars for that operation, which is a little pricey. They also preformed an alignment on my which I didnt ask for because a month ago I had already done an alignment. They charged me 100 dollars for something I didont ask them to do! I changed my rotors and brakes myself since it wasnt that difficult to complete.
Very impressed with this place so far. I just moved from out of state and came to Christian Brothers to have my vehicle inspected. The shop was busy yet I was in and out in less than 10 minutes. After I got my vehicle registered and received my plates, I had the unpleasant realization that I would need to drill holes in my car to get the front license plate mounted. Coming from a state that does not require dual license plates, I was not prepared for that! I thought about attempting the work myself, but drilling into my vehicle made me nervous…so I decided to call up Christian Brothers to see if they could help. Art was very accommodating and had me fixed up and “street legal”, again in less than 10 minutes, free of charge. Will definitely be back!
Well, 1st I will never take another vehicle to them! I took my company and personal vehicles to them for service for 1.5 years and always something would be forgotten. Some just as simple as filling the washer fluid. I would ask for this at the time I would take it in. Asked for window wipers and not get them installed. It’s a company maintenance program (not sure if they charged for them or not) but I do know they where put on the list. Then returning for next service I mentioned this and was told their maintenance professional didn’t think they needed them... Believe when it rain I couldn’t even see!! The TOPPER to it all, I took same truck for break inspection because of a grinding noise. I was told the 2017 f350’s front right caliper was locked up and they had approval to replace both calipers, discs and breaks. (I had taken this vehicle in 2 weeks earlier to have tires rotated.) Well they couldn’t get the parts for 5 days because weekend and a Monday holiday. The guy at the counter couldn’t really explain to me the actual trouble? Once again the maintenance professional was the one that really knew what the problem was. So I took my vehicle down the road to Firestone had 1 rotor and break shoes put on with no trouble.. Not sure how this vehicle was in the shop for tire rotation and inspection and 2 weeks later the entire break system needed to be replaced?. I’m not going to voice an opinion about what I think was going down. I’ll let the facts speak for themselves!
Extremely professional and polite staff. They’re all outstanding to work with and are willing to go into detail on what maintenance is required and how to prevent it from occurring in the future. Especially Chris M. and Arturo S. Those gentlemen went above and beyond just to assure customer satisfaction and customer service and definitely deserve a raise! Christian Brothers Automotive is one of, if not best auto shop we’ve ever hade the pleasure of doing business with. Prices are extremely low with the quality of their work being extremely high. Also, they offer one of the best warranties on any part they replace, 2 year, 24,000 miles. Highly recommend this shop to everyone as they’ve earned our business permanently. Always courteous and efficient. Went in for inspection sticker. My car is 9 years old nd very well taken cared of. Sometimes you go in and just cause its that many years old you expect negative things reported to you. Just to make a sale. Luckily Ive never had that happen here at all.
It was a great experience overall! Cold bottled water, comfy chairs, fast and friendly customer service! Felt like going to a friends house, and getting work done on my car! I called around to 3-4 other places in corpus (and a couple different firestones) and all said at least a 3 hour wait, some saying not that day at all. I was in and out of Christian brothers in 30 minutes! Im DEFINITELY going to them again!
I had my oil changed on my yukon and they replaced my key fob battery. Customer service was excellent. They keep you hydrated with bottled water while you wait. They took my Yukon to the service area right away. The price was also $20 less than any where else. This was my first time there but now that I know where they are located this will be my go to place. Plus sweet beas is right next door so if you have kids you can walk 5 feet away and get some froyo while you wait.
Roy at the S. Staples location was helpful from the very beginning of a very arduous journey. I hit some type of dead animal on the way back to Corpus Christi from Galveston. There were literal guts on the bumper and grill of the Jeep. After cleaning as much as I could, I brought it to Christian Brothers in the hopes that it could be a quick fix, but it turns out that the bumper would need to be replaced. Roy recommended that I go to Caliber Collision. He promised that I would get good service even though I had heard negative reviews of Caliber. Roy steered me in the right direction, and I was able to get the Jeep fixed quickly and efficiently (not really cheap, but, hey, you pay for quality and service). Once it was fixed, I brought it back to Christian Brothers for an inspection. Roy came in clutch again when I complained that the other shop had moved my driver seat too high, and he adjusted it. So all my praise to the guys at Christian Bros -- yall are awesome and I appreciate you not laughing at me too hard for hitting whatever that was in the road.
I had recently had an issue with my vehicle and had my truck at another repair shop and wasn’t pleased with the service that repair shop was providing so I called Christian Brothers and not only did they take care of the issue all in one day but they also provided AMAZING customer service and beat the other repair shop by $200.00!!! The friendliest place I have ever been! Went in for an inspection after trying 2 other places that sent me away. Got in and out super fast! They are very helpful and I will definitely be going back for more work in the future. We have an oil change coming up and I don’t think I want to go anywhere else!
Outstanding customer service! This place is clean, friendly, professional, prompt and most importantly, operated with integrity. It has been my experience that they can do in an hour what has in the past taken a day and they can do in one day what has taken 3 days somewhere else. Couldnt be happier with the service I received at Christian Brothers in Corpus. Allen was easy to work with and communicated very well. The facility is clean, all workers I spoke with were courteous, and they even picked me up at my house when my car was ready. I normally dont write reviews, but felt I should after such a great experience.

They diagnosed my vehicle, but were not able to fix because they did not have appropriate software to correct. They still charged me $99 for the diagnosis, even though they could not resolve the issue. You can argue that they charged for an answer and you can argue that they shouldnt have charged me because they couldnt resolve the issue. I should note, I took it to a different mechanic a week earlier and they could not resolve the issue with the vehicle and did not charge me, commendable. You decide.
Ive had a different experience every time I go here. I have had great experiences. But last time I made an appointment for a vehicle inspection. About 2 hours after dropping off my car I was called and they said that the inspector wasnt working that day and to come back later.
Awesome place. Usually to find a mechanic who u can trust is very difficult. Always have to worry to make sure they are fair on price, honest, reliable etc...I brought in my Dodge Ram 3500 I had issues with the drive shaft they got me in and out same day. Prices for labor r super fair. I just hope y’all open up a location in San Antonio and I will guarantee y’all I’ll bring all my vehicles for work. Super friendly people. When I stepped in the office I thought it was a doctors office at first lol super clean employees 100% professional with everything. Thanks guys for ur hard work. Last week I stopped by Christian Brothers to have my inspection done. I did not have an appointment , but you would never know with the service I received. I am handicapped and use a wheelchair almost all of the time. The vehicle I took for my inspection is a Mustang with very little room for my chair. I knew I would not have to walk far from the the handicapped spot, so I decided to use my walker. By the time I got to the door, one of the guys working in the shop bays had run over to open the door for me.They were quite busy, but let me come right to the counter to hand over my paper work. Before I headed to sit down one of the guys had run into an office to get me a chair with arms which is much easier to use. Fifteen minutes and $7 later I was on my way with my Mustang parked no more than ten feet outside the door. Why would I go anywhere else.Charles Wright
No, no, no. Do not let the name of this place deceive you. Went in for a simple state inspection of my very new vehicle and the mechanic had the audacity to tell me I needed a new gasoline cap. Apparently they don’t like the small fee they collect for state inspections so they try to add additional work. I took my vehicle to another location and my car inspection passed with flying colors. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
Out of the dozen or so automative shops that Ive visited in the past 3 to 4 years that Ive lived in Corpus Christi, this one is a without a doubt a gem. It has got to be the most comfortable, accommodating, friendly and professional BUSINESSES Ive had the pleasure of entering in this city. I emphasize business because thats exactly what I mean- not just in terms of automotive shops, this place goes above and beyond in terms of customer service. H-E-Bs, restaurants, hospitals, doctors offices and banks in the area attempt to make you feel welcomed, but this place exceeds any standard set. Even while slammed with business, they ensure to take the time and welcome every guest entering the building, offer a sanitary and comfortable lounge area that feels like home, and continuously ensure customer satisfaction while they are waiting for diagnostic results. While in the waiting room I attempted to use the complimentary Keurig coffee maker, but it was out of water and could not brew a cup. Without saying a thing to anyone, within seconds an employee was in the lobby refilling the water reservoir in the machine and apologizing for any inconvenience. It was the little things like that, that certainly set them apart from the average joe business. Though it was my first visit, they made me feel like a long time customer/friend, and for the first time in a long time I couldnt find a single issue with the service I received. They fixed the issues I had with my vehicle at a low cost and timely manner, and I will definitely be returning to this location for any and all future automotive problems. Thanks again guys!
As a new resident of Corpus Christi one is always hesitant as to where to go and whom to trust in getting services for one’s personal property which we have come to greatly depend upon. I found Christian Brothers Automotive to be the total answer. They welcomed me and provided the services needed with no hesitation or “slick” talk. They have earned my trust and future business. Went for an oil change. They changed the oil and showed me some filters that were really dirty and needed changing too. They had them in stock and were able to replace them right away. Nice folks to deal with and they got the job done. Not sure you could ask for much more.
I would rate this branch of Christians Brothers no stars if I could.After a $109 diagnostic, these guys quoted me for a $3,000 charge for my vehicles AC restoration. $1,200 on parts and $1,800 on labor(since their per hour rate is about $100 this is roughly 18 hours of work which is crazy!).These guys intended to restore the AC by replacing all parts associated with the system since they probably they didn’t really know what was wrong with it.So, receiving this absurd price. I decided to take my vehicle to Houston for the repair and they only took 2 hours to complete the job for $60.Christian Brothers is a good company but this branch do not seem like they know what they’re doing.
I have gone to Christian Brothers a few times now and am very pleased with the quality of the work performed and their professionalism. They are very clear about details of the work being performed, and if any recommendations are made, they me know exactly why the work is being recommended. Youre in good hands with them!

2022-03-16I usually trust most people and businesses until they give me a not to... and Christian Brothers has given me MULTIPLE reasons not to trust them. From misdiagnosis of a problem resulting in an $1100 repair that I really didnt need, to my vehicle not being ready when promised... twice!... to a terrible lack of communication, my first experience was anything but pleasant. But I decided to give them a second chance based on the service managers and general managers assurance that what happened to me was not the way they do business. However, not only was the next repair not completed during the time promised, I noticed a problem related to that repair the next day. I called the service manager asking for my car to be picked up (which they say they do), he said he didnt have anyone available but that he would get back to me later that day to make arrangements... that was over two weeks ago and Im still waiting. In addition, their inspection recommended I replace my battery, which is less than a year old and hadnt given me any indication that it was failing, which tells me that, in my case at least, their goal wasnt to serve the customer but to separate me from even more of my money which, in the end, totaled around $5000!According to the service manager, the 2nd repair would be under warranty but Im to the point where my lack of trust is so great that I would rather pay to have someone else repair the issue than return to Christian Brothers. If you decide to give them a try, hopefully your experience will be better

2022-02-25They tried to convince my wife she needed a new power steering pump that would cost anywhere from $800 to $1400. There were no symptoms of a power steering issue at the time they conducted their inspection and diagnostic, which cost over $100. I asked the dealership for information on the parts and costs of all associated work, and everything the dealership offered was less than the cost of Christian Brothers. When I asked the staff at CB, they stated that their parts and work had a better warranty (charging more than the cost of an actual OEM part).I was at work at the time of all this, but was able to inspect the pump myself before they convinced her to get the work done. There was absolutely nothing wrong with the pump or the system despite their claims of multiple leaks. When I told them there was nothing wrong, they only said oh, well we must have caught it early then. That is not how that works. There are multiple signs for when power steering begins to go out, and actually fails. None of these were present.This business uses Christian as a guise to convince others it is a good and trustworthy business. Id rather go to the dealership.It should be noted, I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt, in case they were not just lying. This happened over a month ago now and there has not been any issues with the power steering system.

2022-03-02I made a call and a gentleman named Jeremiah answered. I told him what the problem was and what I was driving and he told me to come on in so they could take a look at it. As soon as I pulled in, Jeremiah was met me outside and was ready with Hugo, one of the mechanics. Extremely impressed by their readiness and customer service. Hugo was a huge help. He assessed the problem and after some tinkering around he was able to fix it in no time. Super cool and friendly guy. From here on out I will definitely be bringing my car here for service.

2022-03-28My brakes were locking up . I took it three different places, it was worked on six different times and my brakes were still locking up . Finally, I took it to Christian Brothers Automotive and that’s when everything changed. They were able to troubleshoot and resolve the issue and fix my truck . Christian Brothers Automotive is very knowledgeable, professional, shows a genuine care for my truck . All this was done at an affordable price. And it is for that reason that Christian Brothers Automotive will be the the only place in Corpus Christi i will trust with my vehicles . Thank you Christian Brothers, 👍🙏

2022-03-30The atmosphere is very friendly and the service is very fast. My only complaint would be that I was going for an inspection and I knew that my Wipers were trashed so I picked up some new Wipers on the way and called and asked if they put the Wipers on for you and was told that they did. After everything was done I looked at the receipt and was charged 15 dollars per wiper blade. If I had known they didnt do it for free like most places I would have put them on myself in the parking lot.

2022-05-07First off I would like to say the owner seems to be trying to operate a honest business. I thought the personal working on the cars are not quality thinking. I had my engine overheat and I barley got the car to the shop. Problems started from there. When the car was returned. There was oil leaks, transmission leaks, the raidator had a leak, the overflow did not hold water, the protective undercarage was not put back, the lug nuts were put on by machine and then I had a flat, the car rental was not paid for and I had a bill collector. All of the tabs were not put installed and everything shakes. 1 year later and I am still spending money and fixing things caused by this shop. The owner keep trying to make it right but I think they should fire everybody. Im sorry to the owner but I would not advise anybody to bring their car here other than a oil change.

I don’t trust this shop, they told me several things need replacing and show signs of extreme wear when I had just replaced these parts a couple months prior. Will not be going back after this. Very pleasant people though. 10/10 experience with 0/10 results

2022-06-10I got a quote from some guy named Andrew for a water pump on my Honda. He said labor would be $150 plus the price of the part. When I got there they said Andrew was new and that labor would be $480. And they wanted $100 to diagnose it. Thats ridiculous. That is $200 more than anybody else in town. I ended up taking it to Richard over at Leroy and Richards shop on kostoryz and that man did not charge me one dime to diagnose it. He put it on a pressure machine for an hour and didnt charge me anything. Thats how you earn somebodys trust. He has my business for life.
