This park was very peaceful. Lots of space to spread out. My kids(5,4,2) loved all the equipment(it was clean and not run down)and were confident enough to climb and play independently. Great walking trails and no sketchy business happening around the kids. Everyone we encountered was very nice.
The park is a nice size and there are lots of trees around. Its in a very quiet neighborhood which is nice because so many parks in Arlington seem to be located next to busy roads and all you here is the noise of traffic. The parking situation is a little odd. There is a parking lot, but its not close to the playground. Normally I dont mind walking, but if Im having to haul an exhausted toddler back to the car, it helps to be parked close by.The playground is nice and there are even a couple of outdoor exercise stations. No bathrooms or gazebos that I could see. Its always nice to have a bathroom at parks even if they cost some money to build and maintain. I personally think its better than having little kids wet their pants or pee on bushes because theres no other option.
This is a large, beautiful park with a lot of exercise equipment and a running/walking path. There are two playgrounds -- one geared for older kids, and one for younger -- and some swings. There is lots of open grass to play sports, and there are some areas of the park that work for skateboarding. Unfortunately there are no restroom facilities; many people seemed to leave sooner than they wanted to because of this.
Nice neighborhood park. Playground accommodates preschoolers as well as elementary school children. Even has an area for us old folks to work out. Nice area to walk. One concern ... people with big dogs who let them off leash. No problem so far; just need to be aware.
Awesome park. Great play area with equipment for younger and older kiddos - short of having an overly excited or aggressive dog run at cyclers, walkers and kids on the playground. Huge green space with room for all types of family fun and fitness endeavors.Would be better if pet owners observed AND obeyed posting to have pets on leash. Arlington has a dog park, this is not it.3 year review update - still same.
Really beautiful. Some awesome old oak trees that are well-cared for. Lots of open green space if you want to play football or ultimate frisbee. Good exercise stations on jog/walk trail. Cool path for skateboarding. But...no bathrooms and no discreet trees or shrubbery to water. A port-a-potty could help.
Pretty awesome park, great for walking and running. Not exactly big enough for biking though. Also, there are no hiking trails. However; Rush Creek goes through the park and there are many areas where you can fish. I am not a child; however, I am pretty sure your children will enjoy the playground equipment.
This park/playground is just great. Their walking trail takes you down a cool wooden bridge and wildflower area which makes you feel like you are out in the wilderness for a minute. In the fall, my kids get a kick out of collecting pecans. They have some pretty cool exercise stations throughout the walking trail and their playground equipment is decent. I just wish they’d have some basketball hoops.
Great neighborhood park, with a lot things to do. There are play areas for toddlers and older kids both. They also converted the water drainage into skate paths with banked sides. The walking/jogging paths also have exercise stations, and there is a structure aimed at helping elderly people stay active. The only real drawback is the paths arent really sufficient for cycling. They arent very long and can be clogged with pedestrians.
Very nice park but if youre hispanic and dont live in the neighborhood, be ready to feel plenty uncomfortable from the people that live nearby. My daughter and I left after 20 minutes. How sad that discrimination of this form still exists today. Wont be going back. Veterans park nearby is much nicer and friendlier!

2021-12-14Such a nice playground and park. It feels like you are outside a big city, a suburb somewhere northeast this time of year. The playground is awesome! My kids love exploring new parks and my eldest daughter kept telling me how this one was the best park weve visited. We loved taking a walk around and picking nuts. The park also has a workout area!Definitely we will be back!

2022-05-04This is one of the most beautiful parks in Texas the only issue that I see is it is more of a residential Park and there are no public restrooms. But other than that it is a fantastic place to bring your family for lots of outdoor quality time fun.

2020-08-20Beautiful park, clean, paved trails, exercise equipment and Senior mobility exercise area, playground, many people walking, dog-friendly. All dogs but one were on a leash. Frequent sightings of dog poop on the paved trail even though there are figure poop bags available was the only negative. Great park!

2021-09-19Very clean park. Has a nice area for individuals to skate board. There is a nice walking trail that is very level that goes completely around the park. State of the art/modern playground. Well kept. Animals on leashes allowed. Right next to Veterans park. Street parking.
