Well Ive only been here once and I didnt find anything I was specifically looking for; although my tastes are a bit different than most comic book collectors of this era; as Im looking for vintage Archie, Richie Rich, Sabrina, etc - trying to rebuild a collection that we had and lost, that my mom started as a kid. While his Archie selection was minimal and more current than I needed, I was, able to get a handful of $1 comics to use for a craft project that I have planned. I thought there would be more to choose from in the $1 section but it was pretty small. I wanted known characters, so I ended up with a few Hulks and a couple other random known heroes. Some what small sized shop but with a seemingly decent selection. I should also include that the gentleman at the counter (presumably the shops owner) was very helpful and very nice. :)Go check it out! Just because I didnt find my Archies doesnt mean you wont potentially find exactly what you are looking for!
My son is a comic collector and I have been bringing him here the last several years. The owner and other workers are always helpful and are eager to have a conversation with my son and educate/enlighten him when he asks questions, even if those questions are simplistic and obvious. I appreciate you guys serving my son and encouraging him in his hobby as he always enjoys coming to your store. He wouldnt even think to go anywhere else for his comic book needs.Cherrs and God Bless!
Ok so all 3 stars go for Mario, hes a genuine nice guy and will help you out a lot. Now for the co-owner, hes more of a stereotypical comic book guy. I would liken him to comic book guy from the Simpsons, one time i went in to get a variant cover that wasnt limited or anything and he wanted me to buy all 3 covers telling me in order to get a specific cover I gotta get all 3?!??!? I go to heroes&fantasies they got all 3 individual covers on display no need to buy all 3. Just stuff like that erked me when he was there. Bottom line, if Mario is there, great place- If other guy is there, 2 star place.
Canceled our subscription after being a loooooooong time customer. We had moved to a new house and did not have a chance to get to the store and pick up our comics. As a business owner myself, I value my long term customers and would have given a courtesy call just to check if everything was o.k. People move, get new jobs, or maybe even become ill. Needless to say we were quite surprised..........would not get a subscription there again. It also seemed that they were having a family feud every time we went in. Fighting like kids in front of customers? REALLY?
My friend told me about this place for a number of years now I recently started collecting comics the owners a great help hes more than willing to answer your question he always has a smile on his face never gives attitude all around great guy great atmosphere great place to be if youre looking to start a collection

2022-07-25Collector of comics this is a nice little shop, heavy with the Marvel and DC brand, now note! I didnt see a lot of graphic novels you may have to ask, other than that cool place to check out.

2022-03-15Small and hidden, just off of Military Drive, this comics store is just that, only a comics store. No toys or any other items available for purchase. Just Comics. The gentleman there was nice and friendly, I believe he may have been the store owner himself. I did not go in to purchase, but to see about selling some of my 80s Marvel comic books. Unfortunately, he was not interested. He was looking for older stuff, from the 60s and 70s. Oh well. Still a good place to go visit if comics is your thing!

2021-06-06Pete over at Collectors Authority has a hidden gem of a store. A vast collection that is completely cataloged and organized. This is a great place to find those missing books to fill your collection. CA is that place where you go to find hidden treasures. I found this LCS by chance but I will definitely be back every time I come to San Antonio. Make sure to follow him on FB too.

2022-01-03We love coming here. The gentleman is always kind and even though its a small shop, we love the atmosphere of it. We try to ensure a visit at least once a month as it is so important to support our local shops, and this is definitely one of our favorites.

2021-09-15I just recently visited this store about a month ago after a few years of not buying comics. It has downsized its space a bit since then. This place has always been primarily about comics. Theres no Pokemon stuff and not a lot of other collectibles. But there is a good back issue bin and all the latest and greatest new books and a good selection of graphic novels too. If youre in the neighborhood check it out you might find an old book youve been looking for.
