I had to stay here two nights because of scheduling conflictsFirst the front desk clerk a male was rude and not friendlyI have stayed in over 200 comfort suites and this is the first time they put a $50.00 hold on my card apparently the management of this hotel doesn’t trust anyone. We finally got to our room after dealing with the rude desk clerk the room was not clean it was wore down and not very well-maintained.There was two of us and we only got one towel.I will never book this hotel again and I go to this town often. My advice to you is stay away. The second night we had to stay there there was a young lady at the front desk and she was somewhat friendly but still seemed too busy to talk to us.But neither one of the front desk clerks were very friendly.I think it’s an important thing to make your customers feel welcome and not a bother
Hotel clean, staff less than desirable. Rude on the phone, would not offer help, would not match their own website pricing ($30 cheaper), we needed adjoining rooms, refused to help. Once we arrived she was extremely rude when checking in, said we did not have adjoining rooms and she could not swap us to ones that were since we booked online..through their website.. not a third party. We will pay more and stay elsewhere next time. Its not about the money, its about the service and it was awful. Date of stay 3/26 - 3/27.
Wifi was horrible, kids running up and down the hall after midnight my aunt was leaving then we get a knock at the door that there was a noise complaint! She was leaving n we where laughing.so they wanted to complaint about that so we got charged $. U can hear the people next to u snoring. on top of I had to ask for them to clean my room because they dont do house keeping every day. Pool was closed, room smaller than described..Would definitely not ever stay there again
My sister and I arrive at this hotel yes customer service was wonderful I appreciate it that the rooms were very great very awesome and indeed I would come back. The entire hotel was very clean and smelled really good as you walking in the front doors thank you so much I appreciate your cleaniness and your hospitality again thank you very much Hector Thompson.
Positive: The staff was absolutely wonderful. They were very helpful and always had a smile. Negative: The Internet was absolutely horrid. I could not even get a signal on my own phone Internet. The owners really need to upgrad & update their Internet servers because it really ruined some parts of the trip.
I go to Choice Hotels from Maine to Texas and its always a consistent value. They are trying to update the Choice line, the Quality line has also been consistently good, and the Sleep Inns are good value too. Just give me a clean room, a comfortable bed, a good TV and an Ice Machine and I will be happy, I always get that.
This hotel is good in some areas for example the rooms are very ample and the Beds are súper comfortable but i only recomend stay in this hotel of you Are gonna stay one night they clean up the room Every three days and the breakfast is always the same (but the waffle is delicious) the Pool is always close the elevator is so slow but the food at the breakfast is good and in the room we found shoes that we thing some person forgot it but i personally like this hotel
I specifically chose this hotel because their website said they had an airport shuttle. When I tried to arrange shuttle service, I was then told that there was no airport shuttle. Consequently, I had to pay for an Uber to get to the hotel. This false advertising on the hotel website must be corrected so that travelers can make informed decisions about where to stay.
Positive: Clean room Close to airport Breakfast Negative: Got stuck in elevator the girl laughed at me when we finally got out. Took the stairs to the 4th floor the whole weekend. Next morning we needed a ride to the airport for our rental car, front desk said 30 mins, shuttle lied after an hour+ we had to walk.
The rooms were fineThe pools empty yet they don’t have that onlineMy main issue with this place was the breakfast they served was HORRIBLE.I made the mistake of eatting the food served and my stomach is still messed up it’s 4 days and I’ve had to call out of work for how bad my stomach is.DO NOT EAT HERE
The room is good nice big clean room service was terrible order to Pizza wherever it come from and it look like it was run over by a train tossed up in the air it was terrible even tasted terrible it costs $30 for 16 inch pizza with the delivery charge thats ridiculous pepperoni pizza
To anyone thinking of booking here, I would really advise you to think twice unless you plan on spending all your time and money here, the manager has no concept of customer service and only cares about money! I never give places a bad review but the lack of customer service and professionalism from this place was shocking!
Nice Space of the room and overall clean. The bathtub has a little stain but over all clean. The wifi and TV was excellent. The small fitness room is excellent. The hotel is near an intersection or road but the noise wasnt bad. The breakfast was really good but hoped that hot item food was different any other day. Love the sofa in the bedroom as well.
My family & I were visiting friends in El Paso & decided wed be more comfortable sleeping in a hotel instead of on an air mattress at our friends house. This hotel is a bit secluded but super easy to get to. It was nice not having any noise from the surrounding area. Parking was great. The room was great. Everything was comfortable. Well be staying here the next time we visit El Paso.
The room was clean and very comfortable. It looked nice and up kept and not outdated. The service was great and the lady at the front desk was very helpful. The location is the main reason for my stay as it was so convenient when getting around. But I enjoyed my stay here more than expected!
Double bed with sleeper sofa room was PERFECT for our quick trip to El Paso. Staff was friendly and helpful. 4 stars because we booked for 3 nights but we had to keep getting new keys every day- was very inconvenient not being able to get in the room or the outside door by the stairs.
The room itself was great. We stayed there for two nights, In two different rooms. On the first night the room we stayed in, after returning home we were accused of having a pet with us and charged a fee. I attempted to assure the manager I had drove 7 1/2 hours in a vehicle that had a pet. Not mine. She was very accusatory, said she had pictures, and it did not matter what I told her, we were going to be charged. Even after being very nice and explaining circumstances, she may have called me a liar! Only after I told her I would call my bank and dispute the charges did she say it would be removed. My husband and I have never experienced anything of the sort! If not for this manager basically calling me a liar, I would have said our stay was exceptional. Sincerely, Christine R
Front desk staff was excellent. Breakfast was decent. Had issues with house keeping. Stayed 4 nights and only managed to get them to come to our room one day and that was because we finally mentioned it to the front desk. The other days we had to track them down to ask them for towels. Really enjoyed the hotel itself, very nice and clean and close to the airport. Just disappointed in the house keeping.
Hotel was good. Just like any other ordinary hotel. The place had complimentary breakfast and snacks that you can purchase. The hotel did seem like it needed some maintenance. The elevator was a little old, super difficult to hit the 4th floor button. Our shower looked like it was about ready to fall through the floor. And the walls are SUPER thin. Being super close to the air port you would have expected the walls and windows to be a little thicker. Overall though it was a decent fast stay. If it was for an extended stay I wouldn’t recommend. Also make sure you have good service because their WiFi was terrible.
The hotel is at a great location for my need, but the room was unclean-including a used soap in the soap dish in the shower among other issues. Very odd layout as my room door is side by side next to the ice machine and a full size refrigerator which blocked half of a bar/counter area.... since there are many other choice in the area, I will not be returning to this hotel for my future stay.
Large, clean, modern rooms in a fairly quiet area of El Paso. Staff was friendly at efficient at check-in. The cookies and lemon water in the lobby were a nice touch that my family enjoyed. We got in late and were out early so we did not have time to utilize many amenities but our stay was nice. If we return to El Paso again we will definitely return. It was close to El Paso County Coliseum and zoo and lots of restaurants which was perfect for us.
We booked this hotel for a visit with our son at Ft Bliss. The location was very close to the airport but there wasnt excessive noise from planes. My daughter enjoyed the pool although it is a little small. The free breakfast was nice (waffles, toast, donuts, cereal, yogurt, hard boiled eggs) but the selection could stand to be enlarged. Our room was very clean and spacious, no complaints there! We would definitely stay here again.
Maybe its the whole COVID-19 pandemic thing, but service seemed cold and distant. The breakfast grab bags were better than nothing, but not really a fair replacement to a typical hotel breakfast bar. Maid service was very limited, due to the whole social distancing attempt, but who wants to come back to their hotel room with their towels still on the floor and the trash not emptied and the bed unmade. Hotels have to figure out a better way. . .or lower their prices to compensate for the lower level of service. The hotel was a little dated, but fairly clean and kept up.
This was our third hotel of the weekend and what difference from the other two! The room was very large with pretty decor. The bed was comfortable with many pillows. We had more than enough towels and the amenities were great! We got quite the deal and Im very happy we stayed here. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone and will be staying here again in the future.
Our group of adults and teenagers enjoyed their stay at this hotel. The rooms were large, comfortable, and clean. The staff was friendly and accommodating, the continental breakfast was varied and tasty, and the amenities (swimming pool and fitness center) were well-maintained. The only negatives were the early morning noise from planes taking off and landing at the airport (to be expected) and the single elevator that serves the entire hotel, which makes getting to or from the upper floors slow at the best times and very difficult during the morning hours.
I am very picky about the hotels I stay in. This hotel went above my expectations. It was very clean and the rooms were large! The free breakfast was delicious every morning. The beds were spotless and very comfortable. There were pleantly of usb chargers around the room. The WiFi was good and the TVs were awesome they could move on a swivel. Overall I was pleasantly surprised! I would recommend to anyone!
The staff was friendly and took care of our needs with reason amount of time. I would say some of the remodels were very noticable and the hallway smelt. The breakfast was the reason why I gave it a star less. Everything was cold and thats when the cook or employee had just brought it out. Overall it was not a bad experience just wish breakfast was a bit more enjoyable.
I stayed at this hotel for two nights. I had booked for four nights however, I was being eaten alive by bedbugs. Sandra, the manager, was not accommodating. She was unprofessional and rude to my daughter and even hung the phone up in her face. She told me that I would not be refunded unless bedbugs were found in the room by an exterminator because my bites were not an indication to her that they had bedbugs. Staying at a Choice hotel in the future is not a choice for me.
Ive been coming here for like 2 years when work comes to El Paso. Im always satisfied great service clean rooms. I dont know if they change management but I pacifically went to the front desk to ask him to clean my room after being here for three days and going to be here for two more never got done.
This hotel was great quality for the price paid. All of the staff were so polite and very helpful. There were a couple times where I had to stand at the front desk for a while before someone showed up, but the room service was amazing. Being so close to the airport and being a short drive away from downtown was amazing! Overall a fantastic stay.
The location was good for what we needed. The hotel was clean and employees were friendly. However the room we were hoping to get was unavailable. The beds in our room were too hard and we woke up with sore backs. The in room coffee machine was tiny and the coffee was not good. We had to go out each morning to get coffee
The staff were nice and the shuttle was a great option since I was tired from flying for 12+ hours. I would recommend, also Grubhub delivers straight to the room which was very convenient. 4 stars because I paid for breakfast, but they only had small to-go bags instead of anything hot.
Loved this hotel close to post and everything else, the staff was very friendly! Really helped us out! However if you book on priceline and include in the notes you have pets make sure you tell them at the front desk bc priceline does not communicate that with them! I thought I was good to go but got in a bit of trouble bc unbeknownst to me they have a 25lb weight limit on dogs and I have to big girls!! Also it helps them out to know in advance bc they have specific rooms for pets!!! They worked with me and didnt give me any grief!! Charged me 50$ extra (1x fee) for the dogs for 8 nights!! Many thanks for not kicking us to the curb or charging us a ton extra for not knowing!
Checking in was slow, no smiles, no welcome. the gentleman there with beard and glasses was just talking with the other girls which one was on her cell instead of greeting us so that was the only reason I put 4 stars. Other than that, the place was super clean from the appearance to the room to the sheets. The room was a big plus compared to the Radisson, bigger TV and more space. We had a great time, my wife wants to return for a longer stay.
Every inch of hotel has been totally renovated with great modern decor including exterior walls, landscaping, pool furniture, lobby, breakfast area, halls, rooms, baths. Staff were unbelievably friendly and offering to help. Breakfast had lot hot and cold choices. Public areas and room very clean. Location great near airport and several top El Paso restaurants. However, walls thin and could hear voices from next door sometimes. Rooms are good size and have living area with nice modern sofa with lounger and ottomans. Wifi great.
Very clean. Comfortable bed and spacious room. Only complaint about the room would be the inexpensive windows that allowed a draft in the room. Better windows could also help reduce some of the road and airport noise. Would definitely recommend a room on the side with even numbered rooms. Additionally, the woman who checked us in didnt make eye contact, smile, or even welcome us. I realize jobs in the service industry can be taxing, but the hotels census was low, and being friendly is part of her job.
From the front desk to the roominess of our rooms as well as the breakfast presentation, the hotel is excellent! The fitness center was the best I have seen at any hotel. The free weights were totally awesome and the machines were top notch. I was very pleasantly surprised and very impressed!!! I used it on 4 different occasions during our stay.
Checking in and out was an ease, it was a speedy and efficient process. There were many entrances with the key card, so we could come in from the lobby, left, or right side. The room had all the essentials, but I could have done without the couch and a bigger bathroom. The tub specifically was lazily cleaned or the quality of the material or cleaning products were poor. The bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was great for the hot weekend. The walls were pretty thin because I could hear the activity in the hallway. The pool was alright, I thought there was a hot tub but there wasnt and the location of the pool was shadowed by the hotel so it was too cold to get into. The gym was okay, the cardio equipment was cool but the weight machine needed some oil because it was making odd noises when I tried to do some workouts. Overall, I got what I paid for.
Awful. From the cleanliness of the rooms to the service. We were there 3 days and checked out without ever having a room key. It would take too long to tell you about what wasnt good about my stay so I will touch on the bad and then will tell you what was good... 1st room was filthy, 2nd room not much better and lock was broke (never fixed or moved) manager refused to do anything about it, finally gave like $10 off, tried to charge card like 8 times causing my card to alert fraud detection and be shut off. Breakfast was good, beds were comfy window could be cracked a bit for fresh air,(which is needed in some rooms)lots of outlets and USB charging ports. We left a day early because I couldnt bring myself to pay them another penny.
I had to stay for a work trip which was covered by the US Army. When completing my booking I was warned by the automated travel booking system that this hotel didn’t meet their minimum standards for cleanliness. Given the Army puts people in some pretty terrible places with little regard for standard of living, that’s quite an accomplishment. My room was totally unclean and in need of maintenance. My coworker’s room smelled like sewage from the bathtub drain pipe. This place needs some serious work.
The room was very comfortable. This is a four story hotel with a single elevator; however, the stairs were clean and easily accessed. Breakfast area was large and comfortable. Although next to airport, and although we had an airport facing room, the airplane noise was not noticeable nor distracting as others have commented. We had the option of staying on Fort Bliss but chose to stay here instead as a better value and better accommodations. we were very pleased with the entire experience.
Thought the comfort suites brand was solid after staying at one on business for many days in Colorado. This hotel seemed dated, and chose to cut corner in design and layout. This was a leisure trip and we had 4 of us in the room and noticed several areas needing repair and that maintenance is not a priority. Skip this hotel and find something that offers a better value for your money.
The hotel itself was clean, well lit, and the room was easily accessible. The desk and breakfast staff were very friendly, and I was pleased to see the breakfast meal was more than the advertised continental breakfast. The room was very clean, and all room items worked; i.e., lights, air conditioning, television, etc. I base any return visits on cleanliness and upkeep alone. I had significant problems with Choice corporate hotel customer service reps, but the brick and mortar location and its staff were very customer oriented. I will stay at this particular hotel again if the situation arises.
We usually return to this comfort airport in El Paso due to always having clean rooms. We have stayed in several rooms on the 3rd and 4th floor and for some reason there are always maintenance issues in the rooms. In room 414 that we stayed in this time had a toilet that had the water to it cut off when we checked into it, so when we turned it back on the toilet keep running even after the tank was full. It was so loud we kept the bathroom door closed to muffle the noise and immediately let front desk know the next morning. Sadly the nice front desk gall did not get our toilet issue fixed during our multiple night stay even though she told us shed send maintenance that day, and to make it worse housekeeping also ignored our bathroom because of the closed door? They just need a good maintenance guy since the issues Ive seen in the rooms are relatively easy to fix if you have a budget to get some new parts. We saw someone painting the hallways/lobby, which I feel is a waste of labor when the rooms need more attention than their passageways. Hotel staff is always polite and professional and breakfast has the good variety most Choice (mid-range) hotels carry.
It was good overall. Friendly service and they would accommodate my extra day of stay. Only thing I don’t like is that when I went up to the counter they took a long time to get to me and noticed the person was on a personal call. Otherwise I would of rated this place “excellent.”
Room/bathroom was clean ( slight mold issue around shower/tub walls but nothing major). Staff pleasant for most part. Pool upkeep lacking in daily debris removal, furnishings around pool getting worn. Have stayed here a number of times and would not hesitate to stay here again.
Comfort suites provided a great space! Well appointed living room, clean room and plenty of plush wash clothes and towels! The check in staff rep was in a hurry to get back to his phone call which , judging by his tone and laughter, was obviously socia; and did not give us WiFi info or tell us the time and place of breakfast! One complaint We have for every hotel is the duvet coverlet are always too hot, we have central heat and air and do not need 3 inches of cover! We took them apart in every hotel and used sheets only!
On a surprise visit to see my Soldier Daughter, I had a stay at this hotel from 7/2/2020 - 7/9/2020. My very first stay out of state by myself as my spouse could not make the trip. Upon entering the room I noticed the divider between the bed and the living area was broken and pointed it out to my daughter. Stay was as good as it could be. Due to COVID, there was no coffee, no breakfast, NO towels, NO pool, NO maid service for the entire stay. I had to request new towels and toilet paper at the front desk. I had to set my trash and towels outside of my room to be picked up. I didnt care about all of that as I was visiting my Soldier Daughter whom I had not seen in just under a years time. Checked out and they asked me how my stay was, to which I responded was great because I got to spend quality time with my daughter. Flash forward to this morning (07/16/2020) and pulling up my bank statement to being charged an additional $250. I called the hotel to be told that they charged me for damages to the room (for the broken divider). I politely told her that it was like that when I got to the room. She asked me if I reported it. I told her no because the maid service should have noticed that when they cleaned the room prior to my stay. She said it was MY responsibility to report any damages. Ok, first off, again MY FIRST TIME traveling ALONE at 39 years old and out of town. TOO shady if you ask me. THEY knew it was broken and charged me for something I did not do. I dont know how people are raised in Texas but my MOM taught me right from wrong and if I indeed damaged something, I am the kind of person to make it right! I have called my credit card company and am disputing the charges. They should really be ashamed of themselves, praying on out-of-towners like that. It makes me wonder how many other people stayed in Room #423 of their hotel and were charged for this broken divider damage! I have also reported this to the Better Business Bureau.
The front desk check in experience was phenomenal! I was I could remember the young ladys name that helped us at check in, but she was very helpful, nice, and flexible with our accommodations! The place inside & out was spotless from the room to the hotel common areas, the staff that we encountered was extremely nice, and the coffee was great! I will stay here again when in El Paso.
Needed to find a place at that last minute and the price here and quality was better than all of the other surrounding recommendations on line. Customer service was great making the reservation and checking in. The bed was comfortable and the room was clean. 4 stars because the breakfast attendant wasnt very attentive. Multiple families arrived and she was chatting with a co-worker instead of cleaning tables so people could sit.
Nice hotel could be a five star for us mold in shower is a deal breaker primary reason for the rating. If we return we will ask to see the room first. Not enough seating for breakfast. Taxes make up 17 percent of your room receipt. Very nice laundry room, $1.75 per load to wash and to dry. If you pay 3.50 to dry clothes they should be dry. Terrible Dryers.
Check-in went well, got to our room and the door was opened. Definitely cleared the room first before allowing anyone else in. Digital key cards didnt unlock the doors which the staff quickly replaced. The tub/shower head constantly ran and wouldnt completely shut off. The following morning we discovered roaches behind/on too of the refrigerator and checked-out immediately.
We were driving in from West Monroe LA to visit my neice who was relocated down to El Paso with her husband who is in the military. We arrived on Friday Afternoon with a very pleasant check in. Saturday we all went down to Breakfast and the Attendant was sitting eating breakfast at a table the entire 30-45 mins we was down. Saturday night we came in around 11pm and got off the elevator to a strong herbal smell and I went down to report but the security officer and Front desk agent was already on top of the issue and assured me this is not a normal occurance. We had a marching bandlol above us but was immediately taken care of by same pleasurable front desk agent. I believe her name was NIkki. but she was amazing! Sunday we got all our luggage together and went to the elevator and it was not operational but while lugging all our belongings down the stairs Nikki immediately met and help with my mom (who is disabled and really could not use stairs) without hesitation. She was amazing. Wish we could have gotten the same friendliness with breakfast attendant as front desk and even housekeeping. We will definitely stay there again as we will be visiting several times for several years. I understand as an employee these things happen, but this young lady went above and beyond her front desk responsibility to ensure we were taken care of! I will see yall in a few months when we come back for the holidays. Thank you for all your assistance and help this weekend!!!!!!
The room was clean and comfortable, the afternoon clerk was very helpful. The WiFi was strong, the bathroom clean, the room was well appointed and the staff was helpful but none of that can make up for a lousy nights sleep due to road noise. The suite had a wall thermostat rather than controls on the floor/window unit and I was not able to find a setting to run the fan constantly as white noise to try and drown out the highway noise. When I fist arrived my neighbor was watching TV at a completely reasonable volume and that was coming through the walls loudly too, though he had it off by dinner time. The owners and staff are doing a fantastic job but the building is too loud for light sleepers.
Extremely easy to deal with. Excellent quality of facilities. Remodeled within the last month, I was informed at check -in that there have been fewer than 4 people in my room. The staff was courteous, and I now know exactly where I will be staying for my business travel needs. Completely satisfied with every aspect of my stay.
Very nice hotel. Modernly updated. Pool is extremely small. Overall the hotel is very clean and looks new. Conjoined rooms were noisy because you could hear the neighboring guests conversation. Our room was right by the elevator which caused more noise but thats an easy fix if needed. Id stay again if i ever go back to el paso.
It’s a place to stay. Walls are thin to the extent of my neighbors tv is not loud and I can still hear it, linens were a bit dirty. Originally planned to stay for a few days but will probably leave the same night I got in. Not worth the money. You can literally stay at a Marriott for the same price or cheaper and have a much more enjoyable stay. Really don’t recommend this place. Stay somewhere else.
Nice hotel, really clean, front desk is really friendly and helpful, and the BREAKFAST IS AWESOME and fresh! They have washer and dryer by the lobby a office area, swimming pool and a nice gim area. all the employees are really nice in special the ones that work in the breakfast area I love it, cant wait to go again!
Front desk staff were not pleasant. No greeting. Barely talked. 1 out of 4 were nice. No customer service skills. One little trash can for a big room. Air conditioner was turning off, would not stay on. When calling the front desk to inquire about it, was told to call the front desk every time it turned off so they could flip the breaker and the A/C would turn on again. We called and went to the front desk at least 7 times. It was pretty miserable in the 100 degree weather. Would not give us a discount for the inconvenience. It would of been nice for the heads up before checking in.
Ive used this location several times before, before it was remodeled and re-branded by Choice Hotels, so I have a means of comparison. While the previous franchise was good, Choice made it even better with cleaner, quieter rooms and exellent hotel staff. The location is close to ELP but airport noise was minimal. The things in the room worked: hot water, A/C, microwave, Wi-Fi. Carpets were clean, hardware nice and shiny. No strange odors, no strange stains.Housekeeping kept things tidy and spotless. Id prefer they skip the decaf coffee in my room, but I survived quite well.Linens were new-looking, fresh, unblemished.Ill be returning to El Paso later this year and I hope Ill stay at least a night or to at Comfort Suites ELP.
Edit: Looking at some of these reviews, yall need a reality check. Were in the middle of a pandemic. Heaven forbid you have to make your own bed, use the same towel for a few days, or dont get exactly the breakfast you want. Talk about first world problems.Water was hot.Bed was comfortable.Wifi was decent.Cant ask for much more. The only negative was the walls were paper thin. In the middle of COVID pandemic, lots of empty rooms and they decide to put someone in the room RIGHT next to me.
WE stayed here one night. There was hair on the toilet, and black mold in the bath tub. This is a nasty place. I have stayed at some Quality inns that were better! The wall and ceiling were cracked. The breakfast is on the high end of fair. They had potatoes, and blueberry muffins. What hot breakfast? The food was cold. I told the man at the front desk about the problems with the room, but got no apology !This the most nasty place I have stayed! I can’t recommend this hotel!
Prior to this trip, we were COMPLETELY satisfied with this hotel, hence why we came back and have come back on several occasions. Unfortunately this most recent stay was not great. As stated before, the room was never made up and nothing was done about. We ran out of towels and again, nothing was done about it. We will be back in El Paso in September and intend to stay here again, hopefully it will be a better experience...
The hotel was the worst I have ever stayed at. The first room had water all over the bathroom floor, the second room the toilet wouldnt flush, then the third room was finally acceptable. The elevator was down the first day started back working that night and down again Sunday. We asked twice on two separate days for our room to be cleaned and new towels to be brought and they never touched our rooms. Plus it sounded like a vent on the room was loose from the wind as you can hear it banging in the ventilation system. My recommendation: Find somewhere else to say. I did bring this to choice hotels attention and the desk staff. As of yet they havent responded.
The hotel met many of my expectations. Price was very reasonable. The breakfast was amazing. Location was close to airport and close to military base. Was not impressed on room service. Only received it 1 of the 4 days we stayed and that was because I had to ask for it.
The hotel itself was nice and the morning breakfast spread was excellent, but the hotel lacked cleanliness and friendly accommodating staff. Our non-smoking room had a bathroom that smelled like cigarette smoke and the elevators were broken for our 3-day stay. We were on the 3rd floor.
The hotel was very nice, with a great hot breakfast, but the usual loud guests. Excellent location, two minutes from ELP. Microwave in room didnt work. Had to use the one in the dining area. Staff didnt offer a replacement, said it was too late to have it fixed or replaced.
We stayed here at the El Paso Comfort Inn at the airport for three nights. We did not encounter any problems or issues. We thought we paid a fair price for what we received. The breakfast was served on time and the coffee was hot and tasted fresh. I like a more firmer mattress, but thats the chance one takes when staying away from home. The mattress wasnt overly sift, but softer than I am used to.
It was a convienant location. Room are spacious and bedding was amazing. The WIFI was terrible! It took all day and night to download just a few movies. I couldnt believe it ...I even left my room and went down to the lobby for better connection. When I got to the airport on Monday after our stay there thats when I really realized how slow it really was at Comfort Suites. I was able to download 10 or so movies within Just and hour or so!!! WOW!
The king suite with 2 TVs are well designed and very spacious. If you wanted to, you could pace around in circles with its room design. Its like a small apartment. It has a full kitchen, comfortable living room and bedroom. Has a large tub and several closet cabinets. This king suite room would be perfect for long term stay guests or for anyone having people over to visit. Breakfast was tasty and the staff was good.
Ok. After a 14 hour drive we were greeted by a very nice staff and went to a 4th floor room. The living area had dog hair on the couch some kind of white spotting on the couch (see pictures). We request a new room and then second room had a large crack in the bathroom sink, a definite germ collector. We request and were moved into our third room. It was early morning so as we started our slumber we could here the tweak of a low battery smoke detector. That would last for the next three days before it was corrected. There were several bad key days and we played find the towels after a long day of working on an old house. Three things that I found disturbing was the empty hand sanitizer dispenser next to the elevator, the gummi bears that are stuck to elevator door 4th floor access. Thats all in have to say.
Leave the kids at home for this hotel in el paso. rooms are small with paper thin walls, so you can/will hear everyone elses activities and TV. I checked out next morning to different hotel so I could get a decent sleep. Will not return to this hotel despite friendliness of staff at front desk
We loved our stay at Comfort Inn in El Paso. After traveling from Waco, TX, we were ready for an inviting and friendly hotel. We found it when we arrived at the Comfort Inn. The desk associate was friendly, the lobby and breakfast areas were clean and modern, and the all important room was comfortable for our family of five. We had two queen beds and a fold out sofa bed. The sofa bed was a bit springy, but my son slept on it without noticing the springs. Id say that new mattresses are needed for the sofa beds. I layed on it while waiting my turn in the shower and the coils could be felt. Breakfast was good and hot and we were very happy with it. Check out was a breeze. All I had to do was turn in my keys and that was it. Overall, a great experience.
Staff is friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Hotel is clean, up to date, and very quiet, especially considering it is the closest hotel to the airport. (Right across the street.) I typically prefer not to stay in airport locations due to the noise but l did not hear any airport noise during my stay. (I did stay in a room facing away from the airport, towards the pool so that may be a factor.) Restaurants and stores close by.
Cheap and close to the airport but front desk staff was unhelpful, rooms were dirty, breakfast was sub-par and worse still the hotel shuttle service reserved the prior evening never showed up in the morning. No apologies, nothing helpful, just They will probably be here soon 25 minutes after the ride was reserved.
This hotel is very nice, clean and comfortable.BUT the food is only average hotel food.the chairs in the outdoor smoking are are very uncomfortable.the last two times we checked in the room was 65 degrees. Too cold and a waste of energy.Dont get me wrong. This is still the hotel we use when we visit El Paso and with our son in the ARMY there that happens pretty regularly.
Good value, nice rooms for the money and very convenient location to El Paso Airport and Fort Bliss. Workout center has a lot to offer and there is an outdoor pool.Rooms are large for the money with a seating area and nice king bed. Also there are plenty of places to charge your devices. Also offers continental breakfast.
Nice room, quiet, especially for being so close to the airport. One issue; Our airport shuttle driver was not very friendly or helpful, let the seniors pack their own suitcases. I have never seen this before, even if the driver was a senior, the driver assisted with luggage. However, he was prompt and got us to the airport on time.
I made a reservation with this establishment through a military travel system for a certain price. Upon arrival, they informed me my reservation was canceled (no idea why) and that I would have to get another room. My price went from the government rate to $87 to $114 for twenty-one days. This was after I confirmed twice that I was receiving the government rate. Do not trust this business.
Absolutely terrible! If you must stay by the airport choose anything else. Damaged rooms, barely functioning elevator, and a subpar breakfast. Hope you dont need to sleep during the day because the cleaning crews are exceptionally loud while yelling down the hallways to each other. Better off sleeping in your car.
I was unexpectedly required to stay an extra night in El Paso after my flight was cancelled. I called several of the usual places I stay only to find them booked up. I called Comfort Inn as a last resort... boy was I surprised. The room was nice, the bed was comfortable. It was the largest room I’d stayed in they my whole visit.
AmazingWe had to switch rooms at first because the one given to us had been left unmade. Staff was friendly and courteous. We enjoyed ourselves and do plan on staying again. Maybe after construction though due to them setting off the fire alarm a couple of times while we were showering or getting ready. Will be recommend I this place to friends and family.
Hotel was clean and room was spacious. Unfortunately the lack of insulation in the walls ruined the entire stay. Our room was located across from the elevator and the noise from the elevator and stairway door kept us awake throughout the night. Additionally, loud guests next door at all hours made it impossible to sleep. This morning I awoke in a state of panic because it sounded like someone was throwing up in our room! Turns out, whoever was next door was throwing up and has been for the past two hours. Talk about disgusting! I shouldn’t be able to hear someone in the bathroom next door. Will not stay here ever again and will certainly never recommend.
After first night our door lock deactivated and the young clerk told us we would have to change rooms because there was no manager on duty who could have someone repair electronic lock. Same thing happened to the other room we had reserved, yet the same clerk just rescanned the room keys and opened it back up. I think they accidentally gave our room to another guest and then had us move. I was unable to talk with a manager because there was none on duty. Something fishy here. And, I was not recognized as a gold member by the check-in clerk, as usually happens.
I was charged twice for my security deposit when I brought this to their attention one of the deposit was taken care of right away. The desk clerk was very nice about it. Now I need the second one fixed. I checked out on Thursday so my deposit should have been cleared by now.
Signs for finding the pool or the restrooms are missing. You can hear all the steps of the floor above you. Employe has difficulties to adjust the bill on my company name and said first it’s not possible. I waited 20 min for the shuttle and she called the shuttle company but didn’t give me an update unless I asked. She said she would recommend me better take care on myself and I called an Uber. After 20 seconds she was pointing at the shuttle and said the shuttle has arrived. The room looked clear.
The room was sized fairly good, other than from the second queen bed I was not able to see the t.v. due to a wardrobe cabnet. The breakfast was great, the waffles were Texas shaped. The breakfast room was a little crowded. Beds we very comfortable! In the bathroom I was pleased that I got 2 lotions, 2 conditioner, and 2 shampoo!
Ive stayed at this property many times when it was Guest House Suites. Now its been converted to Comfort Suites and the transition is very impressive. The property is appealing, the room was comfortable and the breakfast and internet was good. What else could a business traveler want? Id definitely recommend it.
The El Paso Airport Comfort Suites lived up to the name without a doubt. Rooms were roomy and comfortable. And even though this hotel is near the airport, never heard a plane! This Hotel is clean and open and the Staff is so friendly I would recommend this hotel property to anyone!! Looking forward to my next stay in El Paso, Ill be staying at the Comfort Suites.
The Hotel is in a very convenient location, rooms clean and every strategically organized. The shower had hot water and the staff is very friendly and of assistance. I was very pleased with my experience here and would highly recommend it to any travellers going to and from the airport.
Rooms great! 2 stars on customer service. Sandra (manager) awesome. Lady that prepared breakfast during the week Amazing! Sweet lady with good morning welcome. Food nice and hot.1. Friday room was not cleaned. No, the dont distrub was not on door.2. Since our check in date the water has been 2.00Saturday night it all of sudden has always been 2.50. I told the night guy and he was like not in my control. Now, yes its .50 but prices listed is what we and staff have followed for the past three days. Almost like a made price. I took a picture and almost felt like i received an oh well responsePrices change, if so update the sheet asap for staff and guest to follow.3. Breakfast- I will say again how wonderful the lady who prepares the breakfast during the week. The guy on Saturday was grumpy, potatoes, links, eggs cold.Lets not forgot the desk clerk waiting to get breakfast before we could jump in. We were there right at 74. He was more interested in breakfast at the back table.
Great Hotel! Located in a well lighted, very secure area across the street from the El Paso International Airport less than half a mile from the main gate at Fort Bliss. The rooms are very well maintained and very clean, the beds are very comfortable, and the staff is very helpful. In addition to this, the exercise room is well maintained and stocked with cardio and resistance training equipment that includes two treadmills, a recumbent bicycle, an eliptical trainer, dumbells up to 50 pounds, a cable weight training machine, fresh towels, antibacterial wipes, and a flatscreen tv that actually works.
I am giving it a 3 because of the rude and unprofessional front desk staff that checked us in. We checked in early after our flight was delayed 3 x .Erika checked us in. She was very rude and told me to hurry up when I couldnt find my id- mind you they were not busy at all. Hotel itself is very well kept with comfortable beds and puffy pillows equipped with clean fridge and microwaves. Outdoor pool is not heated. Breakfast has limited selection but had bacon, eggs and waffles.
Average Stay. The TV is positioned where you can’t see it from the bed because of how the closet is positioned. The shower curtain rod didn’t hold the shower curtain very well because of the way it was hung. ( Room 409). The breakfast is the typical Choice Hotel heat and eat breakfast and after eating it on multiple stays at multiple hotels... blah. Nothing outstanding, normal average stay. The room was clean.
A quick search on any maps application will reveal this property as the closest of any to the El Paso Airport. The free shuttle to the airport (every 30 minute) is very convenient. If your flight isnt too early, there is a free breakfast and complimentary USAToday. The rooms are spacious and the beds include multiple pillow-firmness-choices.
The newly opened and renovated Comfort Suites at the El Paso Airport (formerly Guesthouse Suites) looks good on the surface – fresh paint, new carpets, good bedding, nice couch with a “lounge” for elevating one’s feet. There are plenty of outlets and the lamps (and light therein) are quite serviceable and the TV is on an articulated mount for viewing from any part of the room. However, there are deficiencies that need to be corrected.1) The windows need to be soundproofed! The hotel is located on a heavily traveled truck route, and across the street from the airport. Truck and airplane noise is prominent and persistent - day and night! 2) The FAN IS EXTREMELY NOISY, even on the low setting. 3) The motion detector near the entry door turns on a BRIGHT LIGHT over the desk. When one goes to the bathroom (adjacent to the motion detector) in the night, the sudden bright light wakes up one’s companion! A simple switch for that bright light would be sufficient!4) The bathroom needs towel racks! There is only one hook (behind the door) upon which to hang up one’s towels. Not even a towel ring to hang a hand towel! Need a place to put towels within reach of the tub (instead of a rack below the sink.)
The staff is very friendly and they go out of their way to make your stay the best possible. I want to give a special thanks to Sandra who went out of her way to resolve an issue we were having with the laundry. I would recommend this establishment for your away from home stay.
Very nice and clean Place everything is new. When I checked in the front lady made it seem like I was bothering her checking in. The walls are very thin and can hear everything to the next room next to you. Like the remodeling at 8 oclock in the morning. Recommend taking a shower at night no hot water in the morning.
Upon reconciling my corporate card a week after check out - I noticed a $75 charge for a missing coffee maker. You know, the $15 single cup brewer that are typically in the rooms. The brewer wasn’t there when I checked in, but I didn’t think anything of it or to report it given There’s always coffee available in the lobby area. I don’t make a habit of stealing dollar store items and traipsing across country with them in my carry on bag. Over 200 nights in a hotel a year, never had this issue. I figured it would be a quick phone call to resolve. Jokes on me! Several left messages, two emails, and no one will call back. Front desk gave me a district managers number that will not respond. It’s poor operations to charge a guest for an item when you are not performing diligent inventories of said items to ensure this doesn’t happen. Given I didn’t take the item, the processes you perform to account for them is obviously not thorough. That should give you pause when making additional charges if there’s even a hint of doubt that your process for verification is lazy at best. You didn’t catch that it wasn’t there before the last guest checked out. If it was on my personal card, I would have never noticed the charge - maybe it’s a revenue generation scheme. In any case, this franchisee lost my business for all others. I will not stay in another choice hotel. The 147 direct reports I have will no longer be booked at Choice Hotels. I disputed the charge with Chase, so at least I don’t have to stew on the $75 you tried to take.
The room was adequate, but not well maintained or safe. Frayed extension cords are used to run power from one side of the room to the other so bed lights will work. The outlet on the other side wasnt working. It is difficult to find a working outlet to charge your cell phone or use a laptop..The hotel staff was courteous, however.
The low cost of the room and the location being at the exit of the rental car pick up and return point for the airport made it super convenient to use from the airport. The down side, the beds are super firm and some of the other amenities are less than what might be expected of a more expensive hotel room.
Lets start with the good: 1) the bed is comfortable. There is an adequate amount of covers, 5 pillows, some hard and some soft, and an extra blanket in the amour should you need it. 2) the t v. is fairly large, it rotates so you can see it from the bed, the desk, or even the bathroom sink, and the selection of channels is good; theres even HBO. However, frequently, it would seem to stutter, like the connection was bad. So sometimes during a program youd lose words 3) the wifi is pretty good, and its secure (I think; you need a password). 4) location - its 5 minutes one direction to the El Paso airport (ELP), and only 5 minutes the other direction to the Fort Bliss Buffalo Soldier Gate. 5) Plenty of places to plug in devices, from the desk to both side bed tables.Thats it for the good, on to the bad: 1) the walls are paper thin; I can hear the people on both sides of my room sneeze, cough, and play the t.v. like theyre in my room. I hear the person upstairs every time they walk, as the roof creaks. Its very noisy. And thats not even counting the traffic (if your room faces the road) or the air traffic from the airport. 2) another noise factor is the elevator bell; its LOUD! You can hear it at the end if the hall, and not a muted sound. So if youre in the room right across from the elevator, you hear that LOUD ding all night 3) maintenance - didnt show up for 3 days, and then only fixed one of my 3 issues. Aparently he comes over from the Best Western, which means this place doesnt keep someone on staff. So, my a/c hasnt worked since the week Ive been here, not even the fan, and the only separate fan the front desk has is broken. Also, I cant open my window to even get a cool breeze at night. 4) food - a. the breakfast is lacking. I mean, no bananas! And the area is difficult to navigate. b. the snack area where you should be able to buy snacks, drinks, and frozen burritos, etc. hasnt been stocked since Ive been here, and the shelves are bare. Theres no ice machine on the second floor and no vending machines anywhere. 5) laundry - theres a nice, clean laundry room if you want to do your own. But be prepared to pay; its $1.75 to wash one load and $1.75 to dry that load. 6) and lastly, where have all the towel bars gone and where do I hang my hand towel? Theres only one hook for a shower towel. I think there should be a small towel bar right in front of the sink. This hotel definitely has issues.
When I got there I had to wait 15 to 20 minutes until someone showed up to register us in. When she did she had an attitude. And charged me $100 more for incidentals. She said that would be taken off in 2 to 3 days. I thought the credit card was for incidentals. That used to be my favorite hotel in El Paso but if this is the way I’m going tp be treated I will be taking my business somewhere else.
Not happy. Service was lacking in every aspect. They didnt clean the rooms, throw the trash, make the beds and when we asked for bathroom items we were told to hunt down housekeeping in the halls. Could have done this at home and saved the two hundred plus dollars to stay here. Would not reccomend to anyone.
Horrible! We went to El Paso to see our son off on his deployment overseas to the middle east. Imagine our emotional state- We checked in and went to our room. We dropped off our bags and went out to lunch. We all got into the elevator and we became stuck. The elevator stopped. No one knew we were in there. The emergency button was disconnected, so we used the intercom. It went to the front desk. They had no idea what to do, after 10 mins they finally got us out. My wife told the front desk clerk that it was scary and disturbing to be trapped in their elevator. The front desk clerk (Sabastian) told her you watch too many scary movies. We were assured that the elevator was safe and working properly that it must of been a freak accident. My family and I were stuck in the elevator 5 more times with other guests, finally on day #2 of our 6 day trip the elevator completely shut down and wasnt running for the remaining 4 days of our trip. We had to use the stairs..When we had returned to our room the next day we immediatelynoticed our room had been entered and our belonging were gone through. I immediately went to the front desk and told the front desk clerk (Sabastian and Arturo) I wanted to see the GM or manager. He outright refused to get any manager for me, but picked up the phone and spoke spanish to someone. I demanded to see a manager, again and again he refused. I explained to them that they have electronic locks on their room and you can get the card reader and pull up all the card codes to see who entered our room..they said No we dont have that here. They lied. FYI: All electronic door locks can be accessed and all the key codes are recorded when someone enters the rooms. Most employees carry master cards with assigned numbers. They again refused to do this.I then called other hotels in the area but all of them were booked full due to the large deployment leaving. I asked to be moved to a lower floor since I had health problems and had knee surgery and I was completely ignored (we were on the top floor room 415).We tried to ignore their unprofessional uncaring and extremely rude behavior due to our son was leaving and going to WAR and we didnt want to spend our time arguing with this staff.About an hour later my wife left our room to get some ice and was met by the housekeeping supervisor and staff and they confronted her, telling her in broken english, we are not thieves! and argued with her in the hallway. She was very unsettled and disturbed by this. So again I returned to the front desk (Arturo) and told him I had enough and needed to speak with the manager, He said he couldnt get in touch with her and she may be in in 2 to 3 days. I then called Comfort Suites Corporate office, twice and they refused to help us and try to solve these issues. Their customer service reps spoke very bad english, but told me, We no help you, you are customer, thank you bye bye Wait! What? I told them I wanted a reference number to prove I called them. I got that. We finally left and a week later we get a text from the General Manager stating please stay with us again we have new employees and we couldnt find anyone to fix the elevator, and this has been recorded that we tried to reach out to you to resolve these issues. Then I received a phone call and they left a voice mail. Saying the same thing. What an absolute joke! NEVER AGAIN! Plenty of great hotels in the area..this company owns 2 in the area so beware. The lobby was full of angry customers!

2022-07-02The room was what you would expect, nice, clean and tidy. Bathroom was clean and shower clean. Nice that they had to go,insulated, coffee cups in the room along with individual coffee packets. Breakfast was good with diced potatoes, bacon and eggs. Located right beside a main entrance gate to fort Bliss, made visiting really convenient.

2022-02-26Too close to the airport to not have a shuttle but over all decent hotel. The front desk personnel were amazing. I arrived early and they allowed me and my coworkers to check in early. They were really sweet, the housekeeping staff was sweet as well.

2022-07-06I certainly enjoyed my stay here. My job had me in the area for a week or more. The staff there was really helpful with anything I needed and the housekeeping team does spectacular work. I had interaction with both Heathers, there are two, Emily, and Shelly. Those guys deserve all five stars.

2022-05-22For El Paso, its pretty good. We will probably stay again because of the location. It was clean, but felt old. The entrance from the main street is right across from the airport. You cross the tracks and then come in from behind. The room was a good size with decent space to not feel like you are on top of each other and check in went okay.

2022-04-21This was my favorite hotel before Covid. My husband and I were looking forward to staying at this hotel but unfortunately, it is no longer as nice as it used to be. The pillows were old and lumpy. One of the lights in the restroom was not working and the other one kept blinking. It got to the point, where I had to close my eyes when using the facility and I had to do my make up in the room. They were filtering an aroma through their ventilation system but this deoderant smelled like strawberries and arm pits. The side door handle to the building was falling off its hinges. I was not recognized as a Choice member, but this was the least of my worries. Needless to say, we wont be staying at this hotel again.

2022-03-21Positive: Location Negative: Breakfast meal needs to be improved. Food was not hot and there was no sausage or bacon served with the cold potatoes and cold eggs. They need someone that understands food preparation there. Coffee was great! First impression - floors were dirty

2022-04-14Positive: the price was good the room was clean, although the window had a hole (bullet?) in it and was cracked. Negative: the breakfast was lacking, there was only waffles but both waffle irons were stuck with waffles from previous users, staff was notified with out any action on their part, so we had no breakfast.

2022-03-17Locked out of my room for 2 .5 hours. They didn’t have a physical key on site and didn’t even call the person with the key for 2 hours. They told me they called the manager with the key. They didn’t. They called someone without a key. I was late to work. They didn’t care. I called the corporate office to complain. They said the hotel reported they offered me 5,000 points for my inconvenience and that I refused the points. It’s a total lie. They never offered me anything. Just trying to cover themselves. Such incompetent management. Who doesn’t have a key on the property? What if someone had a stroke and they couldn’t get in the room? Unbelievable.

2022-02-14Hotel was fine. They advertise on the website that there is an airport shuttle. THERE IS NO AIRPORT SHUTTLE. Found that out the day we were leaving. Their only comment was to acknowledge that the website does promise that, but they do not offer a shuttle.

2022-01-29This was by far the best experience I ever had in a Hotel.Squeaky clean rooms,Very friendly staff.Nice collection of breakfast.Very close to the airport, could literally walk. The rental car is right across the hotel.I would definetly stay here again and would strongly recommend to any one.
