First off let me say that Im grateful for the help however the food Ive recieved was ALWAYS rotten, expired & had mold.Thats not okay nor is it healthy to give to your families!Just because people in need are coming to this place for help doesnt mean treat them like dogs & give them old food.
2 years I went there seeking help. I was raising my granddaughter whom was placed with me since she was 6 weeks old because her mother was a heroin addict. Now she is 10 and I was having very serious health problems. I was in the midst of losing my home, car and everything. They did nothing to help and I lost it all including my granddaughter back to her drug addicted mother. Later finding out that they just ignored my information and paperwork and that they have 2 very specific programs they should have put me in. Now, I am saying goodbye to this world and leaving my body here on Earth to be cremated and thrown away with the trash. Dont be fooled by these places. They only help the super healthy and forget about any kind of help if you dont have a car. My son died 2 months ago and since I have not found any help for 2 years now, I am choosing to go be with him.
Not a good place to Volunteer. Volunteers and students are treated badly by the back warehouse Manager. Line of hungry people waiting to get food and the little warehouse manager in the back just stands there with his arms crossed not lending a hand. Either that or he’s eerily watching you on the camera from his desk. This is my experience volunteering there.
I went here for job search help. My counselor was Tanisha who coached me on test taking tips and job interview how to’s. She even brushed up my resume using key words so that my resume stood out when employers did an online search for perspective employees. A very personable lady who smiled a lot and was very encouraging in my job search journey.
This is the only food pantry in the area that really cares. I was in the worst position in my life losing my business and tried to go to a pantry called NEED in Haltom city and they wouldnt help me and my children because I didnt bring a bill with my address. My ID didnt cut it. Avoid NEED at all cost! Thank you so much! Now Im on my feet, about to build a brand new home.
Very helpful, friendly, ALOT OF GROCERIES given, occasionally can help ONCE (if funded) for rent, electric, etc., Case by case basis, has Computer lab for job search, can help with clothing from their resale shop(not @ this site), has monthly distribution for Seniors/disability who qualify.
God bless these people they are the biggest help that you could ever ask for I went there last week and I am in I have not been eating or drinking properly but passed out of malnutrition and the gentleman behind the counter managed to catch me enough to keep me from hurting my head or anything to that effect they got me up so I got me something to drink they got me wash rags they help me find a place to live theyre a godsend all of them and I I hope that I get well enough I have a bad heart but I hope I get well enough to give them a hand someday

2021-07-16First I want to that what they are attempting to do as far as helping people is great. All of the people working here were very nice!I want to say however, my experience was horrible. Ive been on medical leave dealing with cancer and Ive been struggling. I was told about this place to come get food. They handed me a pre-loaded groc cart full of stuff; which 80% was basically inedible. Half the basket was nothing but stale bread and donuts from what looked like a Wal-Mart bakery. They gave me lots of produce but it was all moldy and leaking juices. They also gave me a bag of frozen meat that obviously went bad before it got frozen cause it was basically black.Just because people are going through hard times doesnt mean they have to be treated with a Take it or leave type if attitude. Will not be recommending this place to anyone.

2020-06-30The ppl at this place are always so friendly and compassionate. They give out large quantity of food too. But you have to be careful and check the expiration dates on stuff. Overall this is a great food pantry to come to if you need help w groceries.

2018-04-22If you reside within certain zipcodes, You can get help 1 time a month fairly quickly, in and out. You only need your ID and mine was expired. Amazing, loving people here. There is one lady in particular that always asks if I need prayer for anything. I quickly tell her my most urgent prayer request and she prays. I have often seen the Lord work in my situations very quickly. The food is very fresh and often the have organic. Great place, great foods, great people, fast service!!
