Horrible customer service purchased a dishwasher day before thanksgiving got it that Friday it’s defective leaked everywhere can’t use it can’t use my sink properly because it’s hooked up to a dishwasher that leaks everywhere. Called store asked to exchange it we were told that we would have to have a service technician come out a week passes and a service guy finally came out today and said that it is defective we have not even gotten to use this once we have brand new floors and cabinets that are being ruined by this appliance all we want is to swap it out for another one and we were told that they could file for a replacement with GE on our behalf no telling how long that would take and that is not what we wanted we want a new appliance as that is what was bought we will not get a part to fix a defective dishwasher when we paid for a new one . I am at the point I want to drop it off and get my money back . I have filed a complaint with the BBB . The store is nothing but excuses managers are never there or so we are told. Can’t get our sales rep on phone. This is not acceptable. They tell you anything to get you to purchase in store. Stay away from this store . We were going to purchase a new refrigerator with this store but after the dishwasher issue we will NEVER EVER Purchase anything here again.
Do not finance anything here. I was told the warranty was $3/month, a lie. Was $500. Was told a lie about the material of the sofas. I was also charged over $100 more for the sofas. They wouldnt give me an invoice at time of purchase. Claimed it would take 24hours to receive. Then found out I was lied and stolen from when I got it. This issue has yet to be resolved.
EDIT....Yes I was contacted by customer service sept. Told by the rep who spoke with supervisors, Unfortunately you signed the contract, regardless of the change in the agreement there is nothing we can do to resolve the issue. So again once you sign on the dotted line they have you regardless of being wrong in the situation. Customers arent always right. I will continue letting everyone know in my circle to avoid doing business with this company. CONNS = CON. It says it in their name.....Do not purchase anything from this place. They use deceptive sales tactics and do not fully disclose information to their customers until its to late. Their customer service group is just as bad. Once you sign with them they do not care about you as a customer. If you purchase from them be aware your credit could be in jeopardy. If I could get a zero I would.....
Customer service was great except for 1 thing. We purchased a steam dryer and was told the steam connections came with the dryer. When in fact, it does not. You have to purchase the steam hose separately. It does not come up in their system that it needs to be included in the purchase along with the vent assembly and power cord.
The sectional I purchased in 2015 is falling apart. Furthermore, theyve managed to completely remove the review section from their Facebook properties. Its obvious that they know they cant survive if the consumers can speak.Since Google will allow me to speak, I have something to say.DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THESE PEOPLE. YOU WILL LOSE.
We were approached quickly asking if we needed assistance. She was super awesome and pulled out a tape measure because the space we have is limited. She listened to our needs and assisted us on purchasing the right fridge! I cant remember how to spell her name but she was the manager and shes fabulous!!!
I love my experience with with my sale person, her name is Erica, I just love her professional, and her customer service support and her knowledge to let me know all about the price and the payment and the product of what Im looking for. I love conns home plus my experience with conns home plus is excellent.
Erich was and always is amazingly pleasant to work with! He goes above and beyond and makes a GENUINE effort to ensure that you are satisfied a d all your needs are met. He is personable and down to earth and not to mention knowledgeable of the products. He is the reason I go to conns over other retailers and I appreciate the care, effort, and professionalism he puts into every interaction we have!
I went to Conns to buy a dish washer for my house and came out a living room set and a blue ray dvd also, Erich the sale person was honest with me when I ask many questions and when he was sure of the answer, he went to his managers and asked. He was was very friendly, professional, he made me and my husband comfortable while shopping.
Im very please with the employee Fredrick Hills he was very polite, respectful & very patiently . He explained every detail & instructions on how to manage & take care of the laptop i purchase thru them. I will recommend friendly customers to apply with Conns & ask for Fredrick Hills. Not saying other employees not friendly but Mr.Fredrick Hills iwas patiently.
From the moment I walked in- Kelly made my entire experience so easy for me. Kelly gave me valuable information that was truly beneficial for my specific needs. While also doing so in a way that made me feel comfortable. (She was not the pushy sales person that we sometimes think of.) Kelly was very professional as well as personable. Kelly made me very comfortable throughout the entire shopping process by knowing her products and pinpointing me in the right direction for my needs. She also made the buying process so easy by breaking down and explaining my purchasing options in a way that was easy to clearly understand.Being that Im new to this area, Kelly also provided me with great information & knowledge.I am truly thankful for my shopping & purchasing process. The salesman Erich was great and would highly refer him to my friends and family. The manager on the other hand needs an aditude adjustment. He was very rude on a mistake that he made marking returned product that was discounted for sale. He finally gave us the price listed on the sign for the unopened product, but not without those looks. I have been using Conns for 20+ years and have never been disappointed in the management till now. But it is what it is and we needed what we came here for.
The sales guy Eric was fantastic but the manager was horrible! He kept trying to make us pay for a tv that had broken. The panel went out on the tv. They came to fix it but couldn’t so they said to take the tv back and get a new one so we did... but when we get there we find out they don’t carry that tv anymore and all the ones they had were more expensive so we were told to just pick one and we will get that one and pay for that one by paying the difference between our store credit for the broken tv and what we get. We said ok. The sales guy did all the paper work. We signed and it was taken to the manager for a final sign off and that’s when the manager tells us we would now have 2 payments one for the broken tv that we gave back to them and one for the new tv. We could not get him to understand that that would be double charging us! I’m not about to pay for a tv I don’t have that broke and wasn’t due to my actions!!! I called corporate and the manager there told me the same, that we should not have 2 payments or have to pay for a tv we brought back that was broken. She explained this to the manager and he still didn’t get it. He said he did but then tried to add the balance of the old tv to the new tv total making our payments go up. I will never shop there again. We ended up getting a tv around the same cost as our old one and paying the difference. That’s all we wanted to do with the more expensive tv... pay the difference!!! The manager there at cons on Garth rd should not be a manager if he cannot comprehend simple things like this. We will pay off this tv and then shop elsewhere! We loved the sales guy Eric though, he was kind, thorough and tried his best to help.
The other day, my moms fridge broke and I went with her to to get a new one. We were told that a new one was going to be delivered before noon the next day. It never came, I called the store 3x, but nobody seems to know whats going on or can give me a straight answer. Highly unsatisfactory! Today, all the items in the fridge have gone bad. This is a nightmare!Update: they promised an $80 reimbursement. Its been months and they still havent come thought. Bunch of liars.
So this is my third time going through CONNs. And I dont ever want it to be misunderstood. They are not a rip off place especially when youre in a pinch and you really need something they have it. As I recently have purchased a home most places were out of the refrigerators that I was looking for. And CONNScame through for me. Im always pleased to work with them. Whenever going inside they never pressure you the salesmans never hound you they are very pleasant to work with and very straightforward. I can appreciate that. I dont consider their prices inflated. if you pay everything off within a year with no interest it works out great. I love a place like this it requires you to plan out your finances and use what you have accordingly. Although it can be very dangerous with CONNs money lol. But I love the fact that they do have good quality stuff. And what Im looking for and with the free delivery you cannot be that. I will always continue to have them in my back pocket and use them accordingly. And I like to just give a shout out to the representative EricH who helped me he was fantastic.
We have purchased multiple items from this particular Conn’s over the last 8 years. Today we dealt with Eric for the purchase of our mattress, and everything about this experience was EXCELLENT! Eric is so professional and personable and was an absolute joy to work with. He is efficient and was able to get us everything we wanted plus some extras! Five star experience for us! Thanks Eric :)

He was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about all the products, warranties, financing and delivery.It was the most pleasant experience purchasing major appliances for my home that I have ever had. He helped me pick out the best products for my needs, made sure I got great financing, warranties and everything is being delivered tomorrow!
I really enjoyed shopping with Conns, today!!! Mr. Dan Kalabay was a real salesman from the Baytown store located on Garth rd. I must say it was the easiest, and efficient decision Ive made in a very long time!!! I went in with a vision of what I wanted, and he assisted me in a better selection! I was so impressed!!! Thanks
Customer service was great. I went to the Baytown store to purchase a computer and the rep-Erich, was great. Helped me select the right computer and told me the best way to get my credit raised and about the service plan and protection. Honestly, a very quick and positive experience. I would recommend it for anyone trying to buy home furnishings who doesnt have the entire amount or decent credit.
I first dealt with the conns at gulf gate mall and per my mistake with the wring apartment number all they could do was tell me to come in and fix the issue and redo everything and wait for delivery. Well I wasnt gonna drive from baytown to gulf gate. I came to the conns in baytown. Explained to Mr Hughes everything that has happened. Right away he jumped into action and helped me. He did an amazing job and got me in and out. He went above and beyond for me today. Really appreciate it as I just moved back to baytown and still trying to u pack and get my place in order. Thank you Mr Hughes for all your help today you are truly amazing
I’ve been doing business with Conn’s for years and the level of service I received during this visit surpassed all previous visits. Erich is a no-nonsense salesman which is what I expect when coming to make a purchase. He was very patient and did his dudiligence to pinpoint what my needs were and provided me with all the available options and allowed me to make the best decision suited for myself. Overall, Conn’s has always been my go to for when I need to make an appliance and/or electronic purchase whether it be something for leisure or something I need to replace ASAP. My last visit and purchase was not a pleasant experience but this visit definitely made up for it and Conn’s has definitely redeemed themselves.
Ok viewers...if you get the chance to buy from Conns... ask for Dan from Anshuac. Very impressed and I consider myself skeptical of businesses trying to take money from your wallet! Dan was informative, courteous and professional. Gave some really good info bits on care of our buy AND took his time with us. Sales strategies, it worked! The next awesome experience was the drop off of the buy. 2 guys came the next day and, wow!! QUINTON HUFF YOU KNOW WHO YOU ARE! Thank you for all you did! If my husband was not in the home, I would have felt at ease with you being in my home! Very courteous, respectful and placed everything back promptly. Thank you sweetie. Conns... he is a keeper!! His helper was the same!
The most friendliest atmosphere I have seen in a very long time!!! Not a single long, or unpleasant face in the entire store!!! I was treated with respect, and lots of courtesy!!! The whole experience was very refreshing, and slightly unexpected, compared to many others!!! This is my first experience with yall, but not the last!!! Yall should be proud!!! Purchased a sofa and chair in February 2021, by March the cushions were crushed down to the frame, the springs were not holding up, the frames creak on both the sofa and chair. Reported this issue to Conns. They sent their repair technician to review and he stated that the furniture was not designed to be sat on all day. Requested a refund. Conns said due to Covid they cannot do refunds. Do not buy from this company they are a complete rip off.
The custom service I received at Conns was over the top. The guys at Conns went out of their way to make sure I got what I needed and did not push me to overextend my credit line. It wasnt about their commission but more about making sure I was happy. Its a great relief when I get to deal with people that are pleasent, knowledgeable and helpful as well. Thank you.
Bought appliances from Conn‘s. The dryer had to be repaired twice and was less than a year old. Service department took weeks to come out and make the repairs. Customer Service is pathetic. Please don‘t pay your account off in full before the interest is charged....they will turn you over to collections for non payment, harass you repeatedly and try to ruin your credit. Trust me, I have proof.
My salesman was not only knowledgeable but understanding of my needs. He helped me with my purchase every step of the way. Erich Sittner was not pushy, just a great salesman. Thank you for all of your help ErichBack again for more appliances and Erich is my go to guy. Customer service is decent - sales personnel are always quick to greet (and follow) you after you walk into the store (you never have to hunt anyone down for help, thats for sure).Prices on furniture, appliances, and electronics are high, but they have great financing if you are interested.Also, if you want to rebuild your credit, their financing department is fair.Their online payment system is great.
I can’t express enough the gratitude I feel towards Mr. Matondo he was nothing but patient, helpful and overall considerate. He helped me find exactly what I needed. Hands down for the best sales man. I will most definitely be coming back. He made my Conns experience memorable.
We just moved here and needed several things for our new rental. Mary was a wonderful sales person - very patient as we looked at so many things. Her manager was also helpful in taking care of some issues. The process though is VERY long in my opinion and, had we not been up over 30+ hours with the move, I might have taken it better. One delivery has already been delayed (and not sure if we will even get it this week) and it was critical - our washer and dryer. I think Conns needs to do a better job of making sure they have enough inventory of items they put on sale to make sure that customers get their deliveries in a timely manner.
Deceptive salesmanI was told I could exchange my mattress in 30 days at the time of purchase. I could not try it out in the store and the clerk would not get me a stool to try it out. She said to exchange it would be no problem. A few days after delivery, I came up to the store and the manager said to wait 30 days. I did and came back. Then Im told I purchased a mattress that I could not exchange. It was a $ 2000 mattress. I only slept on it 3 days. Also, the amount on my contract is not the amount owed on my credit report. They added over a thousand dollars. Please check before you are signing! I will never recommend this store to anyone, in fact I will let everyone know about their deceptive practices.
My sales rep Adonna was AMAZING!!!!! She was so knowledgeable and helpful, she greeted me with a beautiful smile as soon as I walked in and was able to answer every question I had for her efficiently. Not only did she make sure I fully understood everything that was being done but she made me feel comfortable. I will make sure I go to her any and every time I go back to Conn’s and I’m recommending her to all my family and friends for a pleasant experience!!!!
****UPDATE**** Conns has since contacted me. They are allowing me to switch out both my washer and dryer for a different brand. Thank you Conns for making me a happy customer again!!!!I purchased a washer and dryer from Conns May 1. They delivered two days later. They couldn’t figure out how to get it through the door so they left if. We figured out how to fit it through the door. We hook it up. And the washer doesn’t start. I call them. They send a technician out two days later. He can’t fix it. It needs a part. They order a part and tell me they will fix it in two days. I tell them I don’t want to wait that long. So they come the next day. Technician puts on new part. It still doesn’t work. He says they won’t allow him to exchange it. They want to try to fix it again. Keep in mind. This is a brand new washer. Never been used. So now they order a part again. This is the 7th now. They want to come fix it in the 12th. This is almost two weeks I haven’t been able to use my brand new washer. So I call and ask them to pick it up. I no longer want it if they won’t exchange it. Or just let me get a different brand. I’m getting transferred to everyone because no one can help me. They are making me pay 15% restocking fee for them to take it back. I don’t feel it’s fair to charge me to return something that doesn’t work. Conns says it’s their standard and basically oh well. So I’ll just sue to get my fee paid back. Might I add that I’ve been a loyal customer of Conns for years. I’ve never had to really deal with them when something went wrong. To really see their true customer service until now. And all the praising I’ve done of this store. I must say I’m truly disappointed in how they treat you when the deal goes wrong.
These guys i am very disappointed with , the customer service is great and on top of sales . But as soon as they make the sale they wont even bother to help . I have been transferred from department to department every time I call . I have left messages and sent emails as well as all paperwork requested by them and they dont keep their part of their business. I guess thats why they get called CONNS
Service was great. Salesman was very helpful and good product knowledge. I had to go to the Beaumont warehouse to pick up my TV. I was there when they opened and still had to wait over an hour to get loaded. I waited 50 minutes before the office person that I checked in with came out to tell me they were sorry for my wait. They said they only had one person pulling tickets. It was at that time that the forklift started moving. I was the first person in line. I will not be buying anything else if its not in the store.
Easy approval online. Sales rep (Ricky G.) worked with US from the first call to closing the sale. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and patient with All our indecisiveness until we finally settled on what we wanted. Delivery was just as good. Im glad we decided to go with Conns instead of one of those other places...
I came to Conn’s on Garth road in Baytown to purchase a washer and dryer. I told the sales associate that I wanted to pay cash for the washer and finance the dryer, well he put both of them on a finance plan and acted as if I only put $1000 down for both of them. Then on top of that he failed to tell me that I had to pay $100 application fee for financing with them. This definitely poor customer service and I will never buy anything from Conns’s because I feel as though they lived up to their name!!
Erich was truly wonderful. He was there to greet me at the door and truly helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I appreciated his honesty with me and the fact that he didn’t try to over sell me for his own benefit. He had excellent customer service and was able to take care of everything in a fast paced manor while making my shopping personal. I will definitely be back to see Erich for more of my home buying goods!
We had already been to a few other stores looking for a gas dryer. We just moved into a house and were unaware that it only had gas hookups available! We were frustrated and tired of looking and then we got to Conns and met Freddie. He was the nicest unsalesman I have ever had the pleasure of working with. He didnt come over with a pushy, annoying sales pitch. He was helpful and informative and very polite. Im very happy with the washer and dryer, but I would happily go back to purchase our next appliance just to work with Freddie again. Hes definitely a credit to the sales team! And the two gentlemen that delivered the appliances were just as polite and respectful. Most businesses have thrown customer service out the window, so I was elated to find it still exists!
NO, YOU MAY NOT SHOP ALONE!!!! Their sales people will hound you from the moment you walk in the door, even if you make it pleasantly clear you just want to look around on your own. Note to Conns management: good customer service is a reasonable balance of assisting your customers in making purchases yet giving them room to breathe!!!I probably couldve found some things to purchase for my nearly empty apartment had I been able to think without the sales person harassing me and asking a million questions.
I purchased a refrigerator about 3 years ago and it stopped working. CONNs repair persons came several times trying to get it to work. After 4 or maybe 5 times they could never get it to work, I was put in for a turn in and was able to get a new refrigerator of equal value. Though the waiting was frustrating they stuck with me and I with them. Once I was turned in to get a replacement, it took all of one day. In that same day I was able to get my new refrigerator and get it delivered when I wanted. All the folks that helped me were very professional, and compassionate about their work. I would recommend CONNs to anyone. thank you so much CONNs.
It was the best service I ever experience for a first time customer he really help my family and I got the best payment plan ever and really understood what we were coming from not like other associates that just say what u want them to say he very honest we need more associates like him thank you Robert we will be returning as a regular customer! U got this!!
I went in looking for a new sofa and love seat. I was greeted with a smile and eye contact from Erich. He showed me a set that came with a free recliner. I wasn’t expecting that and the choices were plenty. I also chose a cocktail table to match. I told him I also needed a new refrigerator. He asked what I had in mind and took me directly to what I was looking for. After checking all items for stock he asked when I wanted it delivered; I chose a date and we signed off and I left stress free. Erich Sittner is a great asset to this company. Professional, knowledgeable and courteous. That’s what I call a great experience.
I went to finance a bed set, store manager personally told me & sales man Eric I was approved for a certain generous amount with 1 year no interest. I made my purchase very carefully keeping the price not to high like withdrawing from the expensive 3yr warranty that I found pointless to have and deciding to pick the furniture up myself and not getting the delivery charge. Salesman tried to push me to get their expensive matress but I decided not to knowing I can get it cheaper elsewhere. Once salesman saw that he wasnt gonna make much off me he said, I dont think youll qualify for the 1 year no interest because the final price isnt over 2k. I found that fishy but believed him. He didnt show me any documents and had me sign on a tablet saying that this was for me to pick up the furniture. He then used that signature to sign all the other documents he didnt even show me. He lied to me about the final price. Not til I got home and after they emailed me the contract I saw all the final numbers. I called back and store manager made it right. It was an inconvenience for me to drive back up there but at least the store manager did make it right. Be careful of these cheating salesman!
Very upset. The sales lady who helped me with my sale added Life insurance and A/H insurance to my purchase when I specifically told her NOT to add any of those policies to my account because i already had them on my own. Be VERY careful after you make your sale. Call them and ask them break down the total of your balance to double check they have not charged for insurance if you already have it. They intended to dupe me and include $300 in insurance added to my total balance and the only way i cought it was because i asked for a detail breakdown of the total being charged to me.
Our sales rep, Narhan Ortiz was awesome. He listened to what we needed/wanted, gave us free delivery & made payment affordable. He stayed very professional even when another sales rep hollered across the store for him to take a call, while he was doing our paperwork then that same rep came & pulled up what we were buying questioned us. Now th at rep was very rude & unprofessional.
Went to Conns in Baytown on Tuesday 7/28/20 to purchase a new Washer and Dryer. My salesperson was Robert. After deciding on my washer and dryer, Robert checked his computer and told me they were both available . My delivery date was set up for Monday August 3,2020. Early Thursday morning I received an email from Conns stating there would be a delay in all or part of my order. I called Robert at the Conns store in Baytown . He checked the computer again and said, no I was still on schedule. On Sunday August 2,2020 I received a call from Rudy at Conns to inform me that my washer was unavailable until September 6, 2029. I told him of my previous conversation with Robert. He said all he could do is offer me to come back in and make another selection , or get a refund. I chose the refund. Had Robert been honest with me from the start, and told me there may be a problem with that washer, I would have made another selection at that time.
My experience with Conn’s Home Plus over the last three days and through my purchase today has been exemplary this is way a customer service business should be run. Attention to detail, going the extra mile and making sure that everything was right and done to my complete satisfaction. I cannot say enough good about my sales person Adonna Alexis of the Conn’s store in Baytown, Texas. She is a shining example of a person who is willing to do whatever it takes to make the customer happy and to answer every question and concern. She should be considered a valuable asset to the Conn’s team.
Fo not buy from here they are not transparent about anything. I came in on july 4th to buy an air conditioner. It went out less than a month later. They wont exchange it. We have a disabled person living in the home who is on dialysis. The temperature in the home has been over 100 degrees due to this for over a week now. Instead of juat exchaging it out conns only will make us wait to repair it. This is the worst company ever. Any other company i have purchased a n air conditioner from would have juat exchanged it such as The Home Dept. Never buy feom here they have the worst customer service ever. I will be reporting this company to the better business bureau. Also i dis contact many different numbers for Conns and all we gwt is excuses and the run around.Update the problem is still not resolved. They are making them wait for parts still to repair a product that went out in less than 1 month instead of exchaging it. This company is a joke. I will never do business with you again.
Have always had the best experiences with the employees at Conns .I am buying a new house and with all that stress it was wonderful to just walk in ,,esign the contract and be on my way back home to get ready for the free delivery of my new furniture!!The manager Sylvia Cuellar was more than helpful with explaining the small print .
We bought a refrigerator from here and when the deliver people came they didn’t even attempt to take the fridge off the truck the just said it won’t fit and left we came back up to conns and the manger told us they didn’t even try to take the doors off my husband said no they didn’t take the fridge off the truck remind you we need it this fridge asap now our food had to be trashed and we had to go to Lowe’s where they take care of there customers if you have to have something delivered make sure they take it off the truck because they can careless to at Conn’s Baytown
Unsatisfied with our couch! We ordered it as a Valentines gift for us, they delivered it and had problems shutting the recliners. I mentioned it to them and he said thats how they are and it would be fine. My husband came home and he wasnt happy at all, so he called and let them know we had to slam the recliner in order for it to shut as well as letting them know there was a scratch on the console. Two guys came by the next day, took pictures of everything and stated that someone would call us later that day. No one has yet called us and we are to the point that we dont even want any of the couches!! Very unsatisfied!
The salesman was very helpful and friendly. I think I found a salesman I would always deal with from now on with any furniture or electronic needs. Ask for Mr Hill at the Baytown store !!! He reminds me of the old school real salesman that Conns use to have. He has patience and very helpful. Not just a Best Buy employee walking around.
Everything was good until I decided to go in and purchase some more items to my account.Conns was suppose to merge my accounts, creating only one account (this is Standard). Well that never happened, so after months of arguing with Conns, I got absolutely no where and now I have marks on my Credit Report. I have to contact an attorney to fix this.
Well it makes it really easy to apply online and within a short time you know your approved. Next step go in person pick your merchandise answer a few questions and there you go. Thanks to Hughes Matondo he was our sales associate very easy go lucky friendly guy. He got us sat up with our needs no hassle. Very knowledgeable and to the point. I googled Conn for a rental Mr.Eric called me quick I talk to Eric so nice I told him I would go take my info to qualify for some couches I showed up a today I asked for Eric he was such a nice guy greeting me at the front door Im very satisfied you need more people like Eric at Conns the manager was real nice also too ty for ur help in getting my 1st. The salesmen at this store was completely deceptive. He added insurance that I did not ask for nor was I told he was adding the insurance. He lied about the amount I would be paying monthly. People please dont buy from this store. They do not care about their customers at all. Good luck if you finance anything through them, they will charge you so much that you cant make the payments. The only reason I gave one star is because you cant post if you dont, or it would be zero star.
Bought a refrigerator with warranty and replacement plan, my refrigerator has been having problems and they have come to repair it more than 5 times and each time the problem is worse, in fact it is no longer cooling and I am using an ice box, two technicians have filled the form of exchange and has been denied. Im tired of calling and going to the store and I dont get a response from anyone. I have small children and I have nowhere to store their milk. I had to throw away food that was spoiled by the loss of temperature in the refrigerator. I have been kept without a refrigerator for more than a week in this hot weather and still no one responds. Also I have to be allowing the entry of different technicians to my house exposing my mother to the covid. I do not expect an answer from anyone because what appears here is only a programmed response. What I do want is to prevent others from buying here. The sellers may be exceptional but what is that worth if the company is useless when you have a problem.
1 Star is too many. Conns HomePlus their service is a JOKE. Don’t buy anything from them. Go anywhere else.I’ve been without a fridge since 1/3.1/5 tech comes out, said new compressor needed. Given a return repair date of 1/10.1/10 no one calls to give me service arrival window. I call and I’m told no parts have been ordered.1/11 I call to make sure they are ordered and they set me up for a service call for 1/141/14 I get the service window call in the morning but I’m told the wrong parts were ordered1/15, 1/16, 1/17 I call each day to ensure the parts are ordered and in. I’m scheduled for 1/18 repair appt.1/18 teach shows up says it’s not the compressor after all. Replaces a computer board that he said was overheating. He leaves. He was there for 20 mins.1/18 5:30 the fridge is STILL HOT. It’s still NOT WORKING. I call and they said they can have someone out on Monday MAYBE. Daniel takes over. Still we get no answers. They said they can’t do anything. We drive to the store on Garth and that manager just gives us corporates number. I CANNOT EVEN DEAL WITH THIS ANYMORE.Do not buy one single thing from them. The absolute WORST ever! 😡😡😡😡😡😡😡😡
I am a 20 year customer I have to say I have a lot of items Ive purchased and very satisfied with my purchases. But when I purchase a GE washer and GE dryer 2 weeks ago. After a 6 pm delivery I thought after washing my New GE Dryer would work, the electronics work but NO heat tried 4 seperate cycles NO heat. I had to wait 4 days for a replacement I spent most of my Saturday waiting for the delivery for the GE Dryer replacement. The 2nd GE Dryer had a 5 inch dent and delivery drivers questioned if I wanted it of course NO. Next day delivery 3 GE Dryer in 2 weeks, 3rd GE Dryer is now collecting water puddles in drum service call tech. Blame it on my air Conditioner set at 74 was to cold. So as of today Conns will not replace and now want me pay $108. Dollars for restocking fees since I dont want to keep a dryer that collects water. I told Conns if their product was reliable I wouldnt send it back and asked why I am been ask to pay the $108. So I am very disappointed with Conns service and customer service. It seems that they would try to handle this situation better and send experience technician or take time to examine beside looking at the GE Dryer and the conclusion he made blaming my air Conditioner.
The salesperson who handled my purchase, while polite, first gave me the price for a set that included pieces I was not interested in purchasing and in had to correct her... then she not only flat out lied to me but snuck a 500 dollar protection plan into my contract. She told me this protection plan was included with my purchase for 36 months (the lie). She never mentioned a price for the plan or that it was an additional purchase AT ALL. When it came time to sigh my contract, while I was reading over the purchase prices in the contract she rushed me through it and kept reaching over me and scrolling past what I was reading with a sign here, initial here.If it hadnt been for the fact that the total price (over 500 more than it should have been even with taxes) occured to me as I was walking out the door, I wouldnt have looked in my emailed contract (which I did ask for a physical copy and was denied). When I pulled up the emailed contract to figure out what the extra 500+ dollars was, (I thought perhaps taxes or maybe I had been charged for delivery which I shouldnt have been due to the current sale) I noticed a charge for the included protection plan. My husband and I turned right around and walked back in the store. When approached it was obvious she knew shed done something wrong based on how quickly she was willing to fix the error. When asked about the excessive cost of the included protection package, she just said dont worry, we can take that off. I would hate to see how many other people did not notice her sliding in an extra 500 fee under their nose as this awesome included protection package. I have bought quite a few pieces from Conns and have been happy with the service and quality however, if this has become the quality of service I can expect? Attempted fraud? I currently wouldnt recommend them (ESPECIALLY THE BAYTOWN STORE) to anyone.
Update now when he has called for the second time after they have been waiting for the part service department claims they tried to call and left vm. Had we received that we would have responded. Ac comes and goes was at 86 earlier, all on its own. What is their time frame this time? TUESDAY!Called on a Friday. Tech on Monday. Oops cant fix it have to order it, part will be in on Thursday. Had not heard from anyone called. Oh sorry part wasnt in so he will be out tomorrow, but if we have any openings today we will call you. I have to work, my husband has to work i work 30 min. From home cant just leave and my husband is typically an hour from home. We have been without AIR CONDITIONING IN TEXAS FOR A WEEK. And with storms coming through we cannot just leave doors open especially when it is raining and or we are not home. I have cats a child and a person in the house that is supposed to be using a cpap machine but cannot it is too hot. The patronizing tone of i am sorry does not work well either.
Our sales rep. Misinformed us or shall I say conveniently left outthat we would be charged interest daily, never mentioned all these insurance fees that would be tacked on or how difficult it would be to get a copy of our contract. Seriously its so messed up that they have to con people. There would be mkre business if they were honest. How do they justify a fridge that was for $999. To come out to $2500?
Erich greeted us from the moment we walked in, listened to us and helped us choose the right appliance for us. Normally I’d hate walking into places like these cause of pushy sales people, but Erich let us shop around. He gave my husband and I space to talk and decide what our best option would be. If you’re looking for a smooth purchase Erich is your guy to see.
Kelly made the process so easy. We have had a stressful few weeks with our AC having to be replaced and then our fridge going out, so to have someone help us get what we needed was awesome! We will definitely be back on the future to see Kelly about somemore items. Thank you.
Let me say this first, the store sales people are very nice. They dont make you feel rushed or anything. I was upset because my set that i had purchased from Rooms to Go got all messed up and couldnt be delivered until after Christmas. (that is a whole other story) So i but from Conns with the promise that i can get it before Christmas. I did and delivery was fast. But our chase lounge is not put together well and wobbles. i called that night( same day as delivery) and they say that i need to call back in 24-48 hours because my order isnt even in their system yet.......my chase is still broken.After months with my living-room set here is my opinion and experience.....You end up paying $7000 for $2000 worth furniture. Dont get me started on their payment system. You try and make payments but their payment system so screwed up that you get a headache every month trying to deal with them they tell you they have been working on fixing the issue... since 2016!!!! (umm fire your IT guy and get a new one.) I have two accounts with Conns totaling around 9000. EVERY MONTH i get a call from conns harassing me to make a payment. the calls start at 730 am and dont end until like 8 pm. On the day its Due! but their system wouldnt allow me to make a payment on my second account because you cant merge the two accounts and i could never log in to see it so i would either need to call in every month or that i needed to create 2 different logins just to pay them. I HATE the pay system. it is the most infuriating issue i have to deal with monthly. I finally was able to set up both accounts on auto draft so they can just take their damn money and stop calling me demanding payments at 8 am on the day its due. Like i havent even had my coffee yet, give me a chance to make the damn payment.Save your self some headache and just save up money and buy a decent set from Ashley furniture or somewhere else. Here you end up paying WAY MORE than the furniture is worth. My $7000 couches are already worn and wobbly and i have had them since December with very little use. :(
I like shopping for appliances, electronics,etc at Conns in Baytown, Texas. I always ask for Dan because he knows me, knows what I like, and never treats me like a customer.. He treats me like a friend, or a family member. No BS with Dan, and I appreciate that. I trust him to do what is right...
I selected a washer & dryer on 9/1/19 after the employee, Nancy confirmed that they would fit into my space installed stacked. When the appliances were delivered, 9/3/19, I was informed by the delivery drivers that the appliances would not fit stacked (Nancy had confirmed that they would fit at time of purchase). They informed me that I would have to cut some of the doorway trim in order to slide them into space. I refused the delivery and rescheduled. 2nd attempt occurred on Sat 9/7/19 after I made the necessary adjustments to the frame. The delivery guy came into my house with a measuring tape to measure. He confirmed that the appliances would fit. This time both appliances came into my house damaged. I refused the delivery. The delivery guy argued with me that they were damaged because they would not fit. I kept telling him that the damage didnt occur by trying to move them into the space, that they were already damaged before they attempted to move them into the space. I was there the entire time making sure they were not bumped into anything. They reported back to their warehouse manager that the appliances wouldnt fit, which was a LIE. I SPOKE WITH THE STORES MANAGER, RUDY WHO AFTER I ASKED HIM TO SPEAK WITH THE WAREHOUSE MANAGERS DIRECTLY, HE ADVISED ME THAT HE DOESNT GET INVOLVED WITH DISPUTES WITH THE WAREHOUSE & HE COULDNT CALL THE WAREHOUSE MANAGERS DIRECTLY AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO CONTACT THE WARESEHOUSE MANAGERS DIRECTLY.Now the warehouse managers do not want to return my phone calls. I still dont have my appliances that I paid for a week ago.IF YOU DONT WANT TO GO TROUGH THE HASSLE OF DELIVERIES FROM CONNS HOME PLUS or THE STORE MANAGERS WHO DONT CARE TO GET INVOLVED TO GET THE ISSUES RESOLVED, SHOP ELSWHERE. I WILL NEVER SHOP HERE AGAIN.
The whole company is worthless. The salesman sold me the wrong oven for what I needed after I made it clear i needed a specific oven. Then when I tell them I want to exchange it out they tried to charge me a restocking fee. I asked them to waive it after explaining the situation and they told me they wont. Im now stuck with a $750.00 oven and cant even use it. Do not buy from this company whatsoever, they do not care for their customers and will run you over.
Dan K is the best service I have ever had! When I ordered my washer and dryer he was so much help! It was going to take over 25 days for my dryer to come in so on his day off he drove to Beaumont to pick up my dryer so that I did not have to wait for my delivery. You dont find sevice like that anywhere. If you are looking for a great deal and wonderful service when buying an appliance go to Conns in Baytown and ask for Dan! I 100% recommend him
Ive been a long time customer until Robert left. Then I left due to poor customer service. I returned to Conns after hearing Robert was back and bought all new kitchen appliances. I will be returning to buy all new furniture in a couple months unless he leaves again!
All I can say is my shopping experience at the Baytown Conns was great, The associate Erich that helped me was very nice and did not keep bothering us like other locations,Thanks Erich also the ast. I bought some items and returned them for personal reasons, it was a total of 10,000 dollars I paid in cash and returned some televisions and they had to reimburse 6,000 dollars for 2 weeks and they still have not returned my money. First they tell me they are going to send me a check 6 to 10 business day after I call and says that in 30 to 60 days later I call and they say that the check is on the way I call and now nobody knows about the check they want to steal my money very easy they accept your money but to return it is another story I had to call tele mundo te ayuda and now I have to hire a lawyer to recover my money

I had the best customer service. The YOUNG lady jermina took her time and helped me. I had an over all great experience at this location everyone was real nice and always asked if I needed help. Ms.jermina even help me get my brand new tv in the car. outstanding customer service.
Over the course of four years, my husband and I have spent roughly $8500 at Conns. When I say this, I mean have completely paid off our accounts early. A year and a half ago we spent $3000 on a new bedroom set including a new mattress. Three months ago, the sidewall popped out on my husbands side. It is so noticeable you can see it even after I make the bed. He has trouble sleeping at night because of it obviously. It will completely cave and sink to the box spring below it. He called customer service and they arranged for a tech to come take pictures for the claim nearly two weeks after the initial call. (Are they really that swamped with complaints we couldnt have been seen sooner?) The tech told me it would be 72 hours before we heard back about the claim. The 72 hours became five days. We were told our claim had been denied because the mattress didnt sink 2 and 1/2 inches without pressure being applied and the stain that occurred because our mattress pad no longer stays on (because of the defect!!!!!) voided our warranty so they wont do anything. Are you serious? I have never heard of a spot causing a manufacturing error. I also have zero clue why it would even matter since they would have to remove the fabric to fix the defect. I loved the service in store, but there is a problem once you take their stuff home. I have never felt so taken advantage of by a company and will never spend money their again. The name should have given it away. Con is right.

Very DISAPPOINTED in the OVERALL CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. Eric our sales representative was NOT FRIENDLY, never mentioned his name really until the end of the sale that I asked for his name, rudely he points at his shirt and says.. its right here. During the financing process, Shaquina seemed bothered every time I asked a question. Once I made my Pmt I asked her to go over my fees, she gives the papers to Eric and he turns around and replies it all adds up. Shaquina never bothered to leave her seat to answer our questions. We were never thanked for our purchase. On our way out there were at least six employees and not one of them lifted their head up. I Took the time to write this review because Im really bothered by the way we were treated today. We have been Conns customers for at least 10yrs.
Washing machine I bought about 3 months ago has completely stopped working, with major bearing failure. Spent 1-1/2 hours on the phone today trying to speak to repair about expediting a replacement since I have been an excellent customer for many years.Told a repair supervisor would call me but no one did.Can’t get calls back when leaving voice mails.Customer service agent rudely tells me I am at the mercy of their repair process, which involves a visit to diagnose issue, then order parts, then another visit to hopefully repair.Research on this LG direct drive washing machine indicates this failure is common and has had numerous recalls in the past.All I asked was for them to please replace this junk with a new one so I don’t have to take off work at least twice while they “try” to fix this one. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will soon be a former customer of Conn’s and DO NOT recommend buying from them!

I went in there to buy some filters and a sofa and loveseat caught my eye about 2 weeks ago sofa and loveseat were 1999$ he texted me which is the smart way for me to let me know not only the sofa and leather loveseat were on sale also the chair for 1500$ thank you so much !
Good way to furnish your home on a budget. Although furniture is not durable. It’s not made to last. Very cheaply made. Other things are awesome to buy here. But furniture won’t last you a year especially if you have kids or use it often. It’s definitely not worth the price.
This place is a joke. I went here because I got a gift card and we needed a new microwave. After two days and nearly 3 hours in this joke of a store they were unable to validate my account and failed to make a sale. Then as I walked out I was told that they had shredded my $170 gift card and I would not be able to get it back. I will never go back here so I gladly walked away. Then I went to home depot and found the exact same microwave for $105 less. This is not how you treat paying customers and is likely the reason why I was almost the only person in the store. Good luck Conns... you may be joining Sears soon.
I would give this place zero stars if I could. Completely unprofessional service and failed to deliver & install product properly. Georgiena was more interested in selling a product that actually taking care of the customer. Save yourself a headache and go to a store that actually cares about their customer.NEVER will I spend money again here again!!

2022-04-11I’ve been purchasing from Conns for years. It was all my grandparents purchased because it was good quality furniture. We just moved into a new house and were in need of a couple appliances. Hughes was an amazing salesman! Very nice, helpful, gave great recommendations and got us an awesome deal with an amazing low monthly payment. Conns has always shown us wonderful customer service from team members and management. They work with you to get you the best in quality, savings and financing. They will always be our family’s first choice in home furnishings.

2022-04-26Honestly disappointed in myself for going back to conns purchased a $5500 dollar bedroom set first delivery 1 piece was damaged sent it back no issue it happens right. Second delivery they brought back they same piece but this time the glued the broken piece back on and tried to hide it with paint lol how horrible of customer service is that and the worst part is you know a manager told them to do it. Absolutely 💯 no faith in the ownership or management team with conns I asked to be able to temporarily hold on to the piece as to not be out another week with my furniture until they could deliver me a NEW replacement due to issues will inventory and was told Absolutely not thats not how it works , why so you can re-sell it to the next guy hoping they dont notice it or inconvenience them by having them have to send it back and wait again versus taking it out of inventory. A company that would use shady tactics like this and glue and paint over a issue trying to mask a broken item is completely unethical. Sad part is the sales man agreed and offered me the show room piece as a replacement which I had agreed to but the manager seed to think that was unreasonable. Save yourself the trouble seriously and make the extra drive to a reputable business that wont condone a managers shady unethical tactics to fool a paying customer.

2021-04-18Ive been needing a new washer dryer in fridge for many years now. My fridge is older than my daughter and probably is almost as old as I am. We walked in today was greeted by a gentleman, he was able to point me in the right direction and got me approved for a new washer dryer and fridge that will be delivered in 5 days. Im super stoked!!! The thing I like about the fridge is you knock on it and it turns on the light and you can see through the glass. Im a dork, I know this already lol.

2022-05-21Came in to look for a car accesory and to look at some PC stuff since I got a new setup but wouldn’t stop asking what I need and wouldn’t stop following me after I said I didn’t need help. Wanted to look at pc chairs but made me uncomfortable just following me around when I said I didn’t need help.Employees were very rude also when they kept asking what I needed help with even when I said I didn’t need help. Don’t go to this cons, employees can be rude.

2022-08-10I bought some Bose glasses today. They did not have a pair that I bought to try on. I got to my car and tried them on and didnt like the fit. I went back in the store and ask to swap to the tempo. I was told there would be a $38 restock fee. YOU LOST A LONG TERM CUSTOMER OVER $38 DOLLARS. I MIGHT HAVE COME BACK AND SPENT $1500 ON FURNITURE. THE STORE MGR WAS ON VACATION SO I HAD TO DEAL WITH JENNIFER. BASIC ECONOMICS!!!!! IT WOULD BE A BIG ZERO IF AVAILABLE.
