Cothers is a great company. They are easy to work with, they respond quickly to questions by phone and email, their technicians are friendly and clean up after themselves. If there are any issues following your service they respond immediately and get things corrected. We have used them more than once and have always been very pleased. The last job was a big one and they didn’t disappoint. They truly are a great company to work with for all your HVAC needs.
Our AC was not cooling well after a recent power surge in our neighborhood…I called Cother Air and explained the situation and they were able to have someone come out on the same day to check out the problem…Everyone I talked to was very nice and the problem was resolved…I will certainly call on them again if needed!!
I waited to post this review just in case there was any type of follow-up work provided. Im glad I waited. Cother installed a new unit for my home and did an excellent job. There was a problem with the mother board on the main unit and they came out quickly and, free of charge, replaced it and got me going again. Its nice to see a company honor their warranty. I will definitely use Cother again!
Albert and Cesar arrived on time. They removed some improperly installed air duct line. (Previous other Contractor/company). Work was completed inspected and the AC is now properly balanced. The single room that was hotter in the summer and colder in the winter now is comfortable as the rest of the house. Both Albert and Cesar are highly professional, polite, absolutely know HVAC in and outs.I have high praise for Albert and Cesar. They both how to work with customers and provide solid solutions. My wife is particularly pleased with the work and thinks very highly of Albert and Cesar.Cother Air has always sent out top rated technicians. I am genuinely satisfied with the work Cother Air Conditioning & Heating did for me when my system went down suddenly. Even though they were busy, they made time to come and check my AC unit. They always updated me on the progress of the job even when the news was not good. Its was really hard to find the part but they made the process flawless for my wife and I. This afternoon I enjoying my AC again right on time as the temperature in Houston today hit 90. Thank Cother Air Conditioning & Heating for a Job well done. The tech was on time and very professional. He was very informative. He cleared out the drain line quickly and even installed a block valve to better service it next time. They have been a great a/c service provider since 2016.

He arrived on time, was courteous and professional, completed his work inside and outside the home without leaving a trace, and answered all questions. Have used Cother before and not highly impressed; however, blower went out on our AC this past weekend and I was amazed when I called them this morning. The lady that answered was amazing! She said I will have a service attendant dispatched to assist you by early afternoon today. Caesar Prado the technician arrived just as she described and he was EXCELLENT. He diagnosed the problem and had our AC up and cooling in record time. Cother will be my go to for all future HVAC issues.

I have been a customer of Cother Air since they opened over 30 years ago. Lauren Cother serviced my units before he opened his own company. I have always found his company to be an extremely fair and very diligent in all their work. If ever something is not done right, all you need to do is call them, and they will take care of it. I have had excellent service and trust them implicitly. I wouldnt use anyone else!
I would not consider using anyone else for repair or maintenance! The repair techs are always clean, polite and explain everything they need to do and why. Ive used them for many years and have not had an issue with any of their work.
First time trying Cother’s services after seeing great reviews. Now I have my own to add as they were very helpful and professional. Zach was super responsive, communicative and friendly. You can tell from meeting Pros like Jesus Huerta that these people work hard and they do the job right. Very thankful our AC unit was repairable during this heat wave.
Allow me to tell anyone out there looking for an honest company this is the one to use. After dealing with consistent liars from losing my house in Hurricane Harvey and dealing with thieves as in companies I paid to work in my house getting Cother referred to me was a true blessing. Now, Im a new customer but they made me feel welcomed as if Ive been with them for years. Big thank you to my good service lead, David was absolutely professional in explaining everything he was doing on my AC unit. He even took the time to listen to my concerns and budget. No, joke on finding honest people these days and protecting what you have to rebuild!
I highly recommend these guys. I had another group (that runs commercials every morning) come out and give me a quote and Cother beat it be nearly 40% with what appeared to be the same units and equipment.Steve was extremely knowledgeable. He was patient and sat down with me as I went through the options with him in the initial process. I was not excited about replacing two units (20+ years old so it was over due) but these guys helped me make it work.Their install team was exceptional. I had a team of father, son and uncle and they were fast, efficient and polite. They were very respectful to my wife and kids. Clean up was on point and I could barely tell they had been there.I did have some issues with one of the thermostats (possibly human error) and they came back out at my request. They continued to be patient and answered all my questions and replaced the faulty thermostat at no charge and even tweaked the system until it ran at exactly the standards I wanted.I will be using Cother Air for years to come.

I purchased an old house and they replaced an air conditioner this summer. My furnace quit working this week during the cold spell. They came out the same day and repaired it, back toasty warm. Good to have someone respond and repair the same day at a reasonable cost.

We called Cother Air when our upstairs AC unit was not cooling. They came out same day, assessed the problem which was out blower motor, and replaced it the same day! They were very prompt and professional and I highly recommend this family owned business!

They did my insulation in my attic. They did excellent work. The guy was punctual, and very thorough. They were always available when I called, and were able to answer any questions I had. In addition, they are up front and transparent with their billing, which really put me at ease. I have since been followed up with to make sure I was happy with my experience. I would definitely use them again and recommend them to anyone.
Yesterday was the second time Ive called Cother for A/C service. Once again from the person who answered my call to the technician who quickly arrived at my residence, all were thoroughly professional. I will definitely use Cother again in the future and I highly recommend them.
I had Cother Inc. come to my home in Clear Lake and put in a new AC unit. I was VERY IMPRESSED and would recommend them to everyone. They were professional and knowledgeable. They did excellent work at a comparable price. They are very fair and friendly. I felt that they genuinely cared about me and making sure that the job was done right (which is like a breath of fresh air in this day and age). If I ever have a heating or air conditioning problem again, I will definitely call them. Highly Recommend.

Cother installed a new HVAC system in my house one day after we agreed on the price, it was very reasonable. The installers completed the job in 7 hours. The city inspector said that install was very professional. I agree. Cother has been my HVAC service company since 1991.
Horrible experience. Needed an ac and heater replaced. They did it and now it never cuts off. Our electric bill is higher than with our older unit and the owner keeps making promises he never intends to keeps. He just strings us along with promises and lies. I just want a working unit. His technicians come out talking down to me when I ask a simple question. Its been a horrible experience. My other ac was replaced a few years ago by another company without a single issue. Unfortunately they closed or I would have gone with them. Really miss them after this nightmare. These people will take your money and disappear like the thieves they are.
I just wanted to relay some of the experience my wife and I have had with Cother Inc.We have dealt with several other AC companies and have had bad experiences. Unfortunately, I am unable to be present during the day as I work downtown and it always bothered me when I would come home and my wife would tell me how rude the technician was to her or that they talked down to her or scoffed at her questions.We have had such a great experience with your company that we had to reach out and let you know how much customers appreciate the level of care and service that your employees provided us. Not only was the service timely and competitively priced, but everyone that entered our home moved carefully and treated or property with respect. Everyone we interacted with was pleasant and took the time to listen and answer questions.I know from experience as both an employee and a manager that it can be hard to get recognition for quality service. Please let your team know that their service is certainly noticed by customers and that we will be recommending them to our neighbors and friends.I believe Caesar was the salesman, but truly, everyone that came to our home was fantastic.
Everything was good. They went to work checking and inspecting the heater and let me know when they were all done. It didnt take all that long!
We live far away from the city and have difficulty getting anyone to our house. Corner did not have an issue with this. Hector came out and performed maintenance on two units at my home. He was able to get them working 100 percent correct and provided an estimate on replacement when needed. Awesome company.
The technician assigned to our repair was 5 minutes early to the scheduled time and provided great customer service. The unit repaired is 15 years old. He made the repair needed to get it working and provided an honest assessment of what needed to be replaced after inspecting all components. He could have easily oversold what needed to be replaced but said several of the components had many years left. Provided a good written summary of the required replacements. Much appreciated.

We have used Cother for 27 years and have never been disappointed in their work. We just bought our second complete system from them. They serviced an old unit for several years and then replaced our system at our home in Friendswood in 1992. We moved to the Seabrook area in 1997 and our AC unit in this house was a 1982 model. Cother kept that unit running for us until last month. They could have declared it dead & charged us for a new system years ago but they kept it going for us until it just was totally beyond being fixable. They made us a very fair deal on a quality replacement system & installed it while we were out of town so we came home to a nice cool house.The Cother technicians have always been courteous & professional. I hope they can keep this new unit running as long as the old one did!
Cother has serviced and maintained my units for years. Never dissatisfied with their work, punctuality or professional conduct.
Technician tried to charge me $2900 for a new A/C unit even though our current unit is new and still under warranty. He didnt even bother going into the attic to check the unit up there. I called another company to get a second opinion and ended up spending only $80 for a minor adjustment.

My air conditioner went out on Saturday. We returned home that evening to an 86 degree home. Not very pretty!!! Everyone that I called was unavailable, out with family, or just too busy to help with my emergency. My pastor, Reginald Devaughn, also reminds us to thank God in the midst of our trials. So, we got up the next morning with thanksgiving in our hearts and went to church. I thanked God for solving our A/C issue in advance. By Gods grace, I asked one of my church members if she knew an A/C repairman. She gave me the name of Cother Inc! It was about 12:45pm. David immediately called me within 10 minutes. By 2:45, he made it to our home! It took him about one hour to fix our problem. His fee was very fair and reasonable. God sent an Angel!!!Thank you so much David!!!
Technician was quick, knowledgeable and courteous. After being told by Master Air that I needed a new A C unit to the tune of 2900 dollars, Cother came out and found the real problem, a broken wire. 60 dollars later its running again. Thank you Cother A/C and Heating!
Diagnosed on August 5th, serviced and replaced condensor on Aug 6th. Workers were very efficient and courteous. They also wore masks whenthey came in the house which we appreciated.

Cother, Inc. has been handling our AC needs/problems for a number of years now, and we could not be more pleased with the service we have received from them. This sham of a business quoted my 73 year old mother $2300 to fix her air conditioning, and she was a current customer of theirs. My brother and I were desperately trying to scramble and get the money together and decided to go get a second opinion and ended up paying $185 to fix a microscopic leak in the line and recharge with freon. They definitely tried to take advantage of an elderly person and I hope others refuse all business dealings with them bc of this!
They changed out my entire AC and heat System including ducts, however, when they changed the vent plates they did not reseal them as part of the job, now I have mold growing around the vents, and he wanted to charge me $40 per vent extra to go back and seal them. This is piss-poor business, do not use this company.
Absolutely unprofessional. I had one guy come and spoke little English. I requested a different technician and it was the same thing. The people here are crooked and I do not believe that are even NOT LEGAL to work here. I would use someone else in Houston. Here the cut corners and you never know who you have coming in and out of your property and business.

Don’t know what’s happened but we’ve had a service contract for 2 years and haven’t had a problem until now. The only difference is that this time we had a repair need and experienced poor communication and service involving office staff and technician. Very disappointed.

Ive been using them for decades and will never change. The technician that came to my house today was very knowledgeable, well trained and so friendly that i gave him some fresh, hot pizza to go when he left. I highly recommend anyone needing a new unit or just servicing their existing unit to please give them a call. You wont be disappointed. A+++++. 5 stars. 2022-04-22Twice a year, I call on a trusted A/C Repair Company to inspect my A/C and Furnace. I used a trusted friend for a few years until he moved on. I used Cother in the past so I reached back out to Cother for their maintenance service. The Technician, Albert L, did a thorough job, explained the needed service, and was professional and polite during the visit. Five stars for Albert L and five stars for Cother. Job well done.

2022-07-12Called early in the day and was given a window for service. During that window dispatch called and updated me that there had been a weather delay but I was next in line. Technician whos name I didnt catch unfortunately, showed up soon after the phone call. He was able to diagnose my issue and make a repair quickly, professionally, and efficiently. My AC is back in business, my kids are no longer whining. Could not ask for better service
