Positive: The room was updated and beautiful! A perfect getaway to escape and get some work done with my laptop. Internet worked great the entire time. The bedding was wonderful too. Friendly and helpful staff. Great experience! I will definitely stay here again. Negative: The sink was very slow draining, but no big deal. Still an awesome place to stay.
Loved everything about this place was really clean front desk agent super nice, housekeeper nice as well now when we got to our room the only thing that was upsetting was the comforter had some sort of stains on it not sure if was chocolate or blood but regardless just nasty so had to get another comforter from the front but other then that would stay here again when visiting abilene.
Things were decent, other than the mold in the bathroom. They ration your hot water, so one person cant even get through a shower. There was also no hair dryer in our room, which I believed to be standard. The location is extremely convenient. They have beds with an under which is likely to increase your likelihood of leaving something behind. Be sure to check out breakfast nearby since they dont include it with your stay. Paying 11$ for 3 bottles of water is a bit ludicrous.
I understand that staffing may be an issue or even supply shortages, but the website advertises that the hotel has a place called The Bistro that serves breakfast, drink pairings, and dinner. Upon arrival, around 8pm, I asked if we could order dinner and was simply told “we don’t have dinner, only breakfast.” Ok. Next morning, went downstairs to do breakfast, which according to the website is either $7/person for a continental breakfast or $10/person for a hot buffet style breakfast. Nope, neither of those exist apparently. When I asked about breakfast, I was given a makeshift menu with 3 “cold” options (fruit+yogurt bowl, oatmeal, or fruit+berry bowl) and 3 egg options (2 breakfast sandwiches or a burrito); could also purchase a bagel, croissant, or muffin. I’m sure the food was probably good, but we didn’t stay to order it. Might not seem like a big deal, but the website is very misleading. Also, both the mattress cover and fitted sheet would not stay on the bed; the elastic was too worn. And our feet were noticeably dirty after walking barefoot on the carpet. It’s my fault for not reading the most recent Yelp reviews before booking. Do yourself a favor and find a different hotel.
The staff at this hotel was SO nice and helpful. Our room was a bit older…the tub/shower needed a little TLC in the caulk and maintenance department. Our door locks weren’t very secure. Due to a shortage of workers there was issues with the room’s linens being stocked. With the hands that were working we were grateful for their hard work. This hotel has a very handy location for shopping and restaurants.
Was charged $60 for incidentals and advised that I would receive this charge back as long as I didn’t damage room or charge anything in the market. Here it is a week later and the fee was not reimbursed. I left the room as I found it minus sleeping in one of the beds. I did not order anything from the market. Being a Marriott Bonvoy client I would expect higher quality of service yet am highly disappointed. Bad enough there was no coffee in the room nor any soap. I guess Marriott lies about incidental charges in an attempt to overcharge its clients.Hallways and elevator smelled like a puppy lived in them. Room smelled moldy and old. One of the worst experiences I’ve ever had at a Marriott.
Hotel staff was professional and pleasant. It was a short 2-night stay for me. For the most part the Hotel was clean. The room was clean, but somewhat humid and the bathroom tiles were a little sticky. I didnt dine or partake in Amenities. I would stay again and recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a nice place to stay while in Abilene.
Well this was a very interesting experience they didnt have service to come service the rooms everyday. So that I wasnt used to and I had to keep asking for towels but the service made up for all of that. They eventually took really good care of us even if we had to ask for what we needed they went over and beyond to make sure we were taking care of. The staff there is really just awesome they spoke to us every time we went in and out the service there was phenomenal they all deserve a raise. God Bless You!!! Have a wonderful Blessed day!!♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
My stay was an extremely disappointing! On Friday, we (me and my 80 year old parents) arrived at 6pm to check-in (3 hours after check-in time). We were told we would have to wait 30 minutes. This would not work for us because we were going to my daughters ACU soccer game at 7pm. So I did a mobile check-in (which said 6:45 room would be ready) so when we returned late after the game we would just get keys and go to the room. At 11:15pm when we returned I was told the room was not ready it would be another 15 to 20 minutes. Asked if this would be Okay, I replied no, but I guess it really doesnt matter. DONT UNDERSTAND PURPOSE OF MOBILE CHECK-IN IF IT DOESNT CHECK YOU IN. Concerned by the circumstances I asked to confirm, this is a two queen room. Nope it was a king for me and my two elderly parents. He did check and my reservation was for two queen beds. So I was to sleep on the pull-out, but it was terrible. It might have worked for a small child, but mattress was thin and you could feel every bar. Ended up sleeping on the small curved couch. Our room had a light out so I had to get a new light bulb, it also didnt have but one set of towels for the three of us, so I had to ask for more of those. I had to ask for pillow, blanket, and sheets for the couch. Would have thought they would have taken care of those things without having to be asked considering the situation. Now I am Gold Elite, whatever that is suppose to get you, not much I am quickly learning. The front desk people were apologetic and nice, but that didnt change the fact that my reservation was completely ignored, and rooms were not ready for check-in. This was not the Courtyard Marriott experience I was expecting. They did not charge me for the stay which I did appreciate, but that did not make up for the poor circumstances we experienced.Again extremely disappointed!!!!
The weather was very stormy, and all the TVs in the building were not working. I called the front desk, and they said when the weather is stormy, the TVs dont have a good connection. They said its a known issue. At this point in history, if the weather is stopping your internet, its a financial decision, not a technical problem. The question I had is if the hotel has chosen not to meet the basic standard of having a functional TV, what other basic needs are they not addressing? Cleaning? Accurate Billing?Secondly, and this is fairly minor, but something that impacts my view of this hotel. The breakfast was still a COVID grab and go breakfast, with sealed processed food to take. Thats fine. The issue is that it was sold as having juice, and they provided Sunny D. Sunny D is effectively a soda. Its two ingredients are water and corn syrup. Its okay if they dont have juice, but dont advertise juice and then provide that.Lastly, there was no one to help at the front desk when I needed to check out. I stood at the desk for 10 minutes waiting for someone to come help us, which by that point there were 3-4 people in line behind me. I dont mind if they have to step away for a second, but at least leave a note when your coming back. 10 minutes is probably excessively to have no one available to help. All in all, this was my first stay as a member of Mariott Bonvoy. Ill be looking at other chains in the segment for options after this experience.
Staff was friendly and hotel was clean. Missed getting my Starbucks in the morning, however, I understand that section is undergoing renovations. Cant wait to see the progress. My only complaint is that I didnt have TV. The guide showed programming from the previous month and wrong time. When you went to a channel, there was not any reception.
Nice hotel. It was pretty and clean. However, the door to the room was hard to open. I had to throw my body on it to get it open to get in. When I was leaving i had to use my body weight to open the door with both hands. Also, there was no long mirror. As a female, i definitely use those mirrors.
This seems to be a formerly nice hotel that is on the way downhill. Room looked clean but the carpet felt sticky on my bare feet. Couch in the room was ridiculously uncomfortable, I think it was missing cushions. Customers complained about continental breakfast so they got rid of it instead of addressing the complaints. Air conditioner was out in the first floor hallway and it smelled pretty bad down there. On the plus side, the desk clerk did put in some effort (with a little prodding) to save me some money when I needed to extend my stay. All hotels in town were booked up for a softball tournament.
Not impressed with the way I was handled. I reserved a room with two beds. I traveled with my daughters and they “upgraded” me to a kind suit, where I shared a king bed with two preteens. The pull out mattress was thin and my daughter could not sleep on it. We had to pack our stuff the next morning and then wait for a room to open which then we had to unpack again in a new room.
Moved to different hotels with suites among the Marriott hotels. Usually stay next door at home2suites. Felt like comparing the other Marriott suites with home2suites. Enjoyed town place suites next door prior to booking with the residence inn. Was a little on the older side but overall good place to stay
The customer service here is lacking. I had an incident where the housekeeping opened my door early in the morning while I hasnt even dressed. They knocked, waited a millisecond and opened my door. I emailed the general manager and its been 48 hours and I havent heard back from her. They obviously do not care that I was completely humiliated. I definitely will not be returning.
Upon arrival, they were working out problems with two other people.I got to my room and the bed was unmade and towels were on the floor. I went back down and waited with the now 5 people waiting for service. I was given another room eventually with very little acknowledgment that I was given a dirty room.I got to my new room and within 30 minutes I had a couple open my door and were very surprised to see someone in their room, as I was surprised that someone was coming into my room. We exchanged pleasantries and they proceeded back downstairs. I then got a call from the front desk telling me that this room was cleaned and available and who was I? I explained who I was and they appeared to be happy with my response.I later called down to see if I should expect more company or if my key would work since they had issued keys to someone else. I was told they would, but decided just to stay in my room and await further shenanigans.I am a Titanium Elite and all I was given was a few apologies. I’d hate to see how they treat guests who don’t normally stay at Marriotts.Needless to say, I will not be staying here again and now need to look into how to file a complaint with corporate. I’ve never had this many screw ups at a single location.
I worked in the hotel business a few years ago, and am generally forgiving of problems during a hotel stay. This one frustrated me. A lot of events were happening in Abilene on our travel weekend and management and employees seemed completely unprepared. 1. Room was unavailable at 4:30 when we arrived. On a sold out weekend, it is imperative to schedule extra housekeeping help to make check in run smoothly. The lobby was full of waiting parties for hours. 2. Room was clean, but there was no hair dryer, the sink drained very slowly, and the coffee maker did not work. 3. Getting a hair dryer took 40 minutes because the morning shift employee was almost an hour late to work and the night clerk didn’t know where to find one. She did manage to get one for me eventually and delivered it to the room, which I appreciated. 4. Fresh coffee downstairs was served lukewarm. None of these things detracted from our trip, but ALL of these things are a result of poor management and are easy to fix.
While staff was friendly and courteous and rooms appeared to be clean there is a lot of room for improvement.First off, the elevator was broken and hauling luggage up 3 flights of stairs is never fun. Not once was there anyone trying to repair it during our stay either. We had just a few drinks we wanted to keep cold in the mini fridge in our room, but that wasnt working properly either. Light fixture on one side of the bed wasnt working, nor was the outlet thats attached to it. The walls are extremely thin, if youre a light sleeper there is no way youll be getting a good nights rest. Theres supposedly a coffee shop/bistro on site but its completely closed down, due to Covid, so I do understand but it would be nice if the website was updated. They do offer a grab and go breakfast at no charge. The fitness room is decent, as described on their site. The location is convenient, lots of restaurant/shopping within walking distance. Again, staff is friendly and helpful, one young lady brings her lovely little bird, Rio, who politely sits at check in to greet guests. They made a late check out quite easy.
Positive: The room was very clean. Negative: Television had no remote had to go to the front desk and get one. No local channels because cable wasn¿t working right. Told they had been working on it all day, but we weren¿t informed about that. We¿re sticking to the floors on our way to our r
We have stayed at several Marriots in the past and this place was not up to the standard. The hotel floors were dirty (needed to be vacuumed and shampooed), the rooms were not equipped with supplies for our party of 4 for a 4 night stay (two towels, no toilet paper refill, no ice bucket), the bedside lights didnt work, the coffee was luke warm at best. Just overall not pleased.
Staff was excellent. Very helpful and polite. The room was not clean and run down. Bird poop covered the balcony and had not been cleaned in a long time. It stunk. The air conditioner picked up the smell from the balcony. We were going to stay three nights but left after two.
Chicken was at 3:00 p.m. we didnt get into a room until close to 5:00 p.m. Then we did not get the room that we reserved but instead a room with two queen size bed. Which didnt give us room to put to pack and place in there for our twins. The only nice person that we spoke to was Jeremy. He was sweet and kind and brought us our pack and place and offered to set them up for us after we asked for them three separate occasions.
Room was very clean except for the lights by the bed; dust was very thick and the electric sockets by the bed were very loose and wouldn’t hold our phone chargers. Coffee area in the morning wasn’t maintained and staff were talking with friends instead of cleaning the area.
Positive: The room was clean and spacious. Also, the location was very conveniently nearby stores, restaurants and gas stations. Negative: I checked in , he was doing great, until he started clearing his throat loudly during check-in process. I left my pillow, so I called and spoke with hotel employee over the phone, where he continued to clear his throat loudly. Very Unprofessional.

Following ice storm and damage to the hotel, this location remained open. A Herculean effort by management was performed to clean the rooms - as cleaning staff all called in. The elevator was out. It was a completely clustered duck, but the staff and management that were present did a great job. Kudos! You all make a great team!
Positive: Location Negative: Entrance way was filthy!! Bait & switch. Website, elevator photos show a great breakfast but when we came down in the morning there was none. They said Covid keeps it closed. WTH? Then notify your guests this the night before or at time of booking.
Room was comfortable and good. Check-in and check-out was poor. No one at registration desk at either check in or out. Had to seek out to find receptionist. Check-in person was not familiar with procedures for 3rd party registration and stumbled. Printer was not working to provide receipt on discharge, but email was able to be sent. Overall just okay and below Courtyard Marriot standards.
I was pleasantly surprised! The check in process was friendly and pleasant. The room was modern and clean, and I really loved the couch. I was able to relax for a bit before bed after traveling in. I really liked the bed against the bathroom wall instead of the shared wall with the next room as it cuts down on noise. The bed was comfortable, and the fridge and microwave were great. The Bistro area was nice but they were closed when we got there. The market was open 24 hours so I was able to get a cold beer to take up to the room along with some snacks that suited me just fine. I was surprised to see that the Market had some healthier snack options which was great. Overall a very nice stay and I would stay there again in the future.
Very disappointed! Room was filthy. I’m not really sure it was even cleaned. I was going to overlook most of it until I saw a huge stain and hair on the sheets.. Was a signed a second room that was slightly better but not much. Drain on bathroom sink was not draining. Elevator was broke down which was a huge inconvenience.
I’ve stayed at Marriott everywhere I go but this is definitely not Marriot quality. First staff encountered was unhelpful. Second one was better but frazzled due to short staffing. Room had dried cat feces under bed. No coffee maker in room. Starbucks/bistro closed due to pandemic, not mentioned in website. Serving grab and go breakfast but did not restock when depleted. Will never stay here again
Stay was ok. Staff was friendly but our room was pretty nasty. Had spill stains on cabinets and the wall by the stove has splatter stains. Had to wipe everything down with my own Clorox wipes because the room did not give the appearance of being disinfected. Ceiling also had a huge water stain from a previous leak above us. Expecting more from the Marriott brand.
Kiara at the front desk was amazing! Pool was a nice feature. Would’ve liked the AC turned on prior to us checking in, the Bistro in lobby be made available, the restroom floor cleaned better, and coffee/creamer in the room to have more of it. We did have to ask for new bedding, but Kiara was awesome at helping with ur needs. Thank you to her!
We got an amazing rate on this hotel! The room was fine and the bathrooms were well lit. The front desk person was professional. My concern was that the room was very dusty especially on the bedside lamps. It caused concern that the room was not cleaned well. With covid 19 issue that could be dangerous. I hope the manager reads this.
Older place, could use some renovation. Elevator sounded and felt like it would give out any day now. However, biggest complaint was that despite advertising a dinner menu at the Bistro (big sign in the elevator), they werent serving any food in the evening. Although, the bar was serving drinks.
The rooms at Courtyard are good, as is expected from Marriott. Located at 4350 Ridgemont Drive, the Courtyard is located in possibly the best area of Abilene, right across the Street from the Mall of Abilene, with several restaurants within walking distance. Expected amenities are available at the Courtyard with the sole exception of chargers for electric cars. The Courtyard is a good place stay in Abilene.
The room I booked was not available even though I arrived after 5pm. Elevators not working. Bistro closed. Other locations have found ways to continue serving hot breakfasts, keep their Bistros open, and provide real customer service. No acknowledgement of my Elite status. Really just not a good stay at all.
My fridge did not work the first night i turned it in but they never came. The elevator was broken. I was looking for my earring that i lost and when i looked under the bed there was old I think like a bananna split bowl couldnt really tell what it was it was gross and some other containers looked like they were there awhile. Also the ac and heater didnt work correctly. i had to turn it down to 60 to get it to even feel like it was 70 in there. Use to I loved staying here especially when you could get food. But it feels like they just dont care anymore.
This hotel has a refreshing staff! They genuinely smile and speak with you like you are a part of the family. I really appreciate the tremendous effort they make toward making one feel at home. the rooms were spacious and clean and quiet! I slept like a baby in a queen bed. I was impressed with the checkout and check in staff. They were swift and helpful.
Check in was super smooth, rooms have a very nice retro feel to them without being dated. The bed is still a spring style mattress, but. The shower is pretty good size with ample water pressure. I was actually in the room right behind the elevator, but thanks to the way the room was laid out, I never heard it once though the night.
Facility looks dated, but well maintained. When we checked in we were told the only elevator is broken and theyre waiting on parts. No rooms on the ground level. Disappointed that we were not notified in advance. They cancelled without penalty. We moved to the Hilton Garden Inn, more pricey, nicer
Checking in to Courtyard hotel the wait was moderate but I must give a compliment to the staff for having enlightening smiles and a welcoming presence. The rooms here are 3 to 4 stars in quality. Cleaning crew does a great job with NOT throwing away things that’s not trash, but still set the room up neatly. The Pool, Gym, and Business center all are moderate to high end moderate in quality. Still very nice to have such wonderful and well kept amenities. Food areas are near by.I recommend Courtyard by Marriott Abilene Hotel to anyone who prefer to ONLY sleep in clean and well kept hotels no matter the price.
This was our second time staying at this location. The entire staff was friendly and attentive to our every need. We had a very nice breakfast buffet. The bar included Starbucks on site with a terrific bartender. You’re sure to find something on the menu to satisfy every appetite. The children had a blast in the climate controlled pool. The hotel is conveniently located to a variety of restaurants and shopping. We really enjoyed the hospitality and being treated like family.
We always stay at Marriott’s, but we’re not impressed with this stay. The front desk finally answered the phone after the 4th time I tried to call, and said they’d bring up towels and a remote for the TV, but they never did. Very unprofessional each time we communicated with them. The complimentary breakfast was paltry. It also smelled like weed in the hallway.
The check in service was very friendly and quick! Our room was very clean and we really enjoyed the stay. The bed was a bit firm but we made do. The buffet was not open so we had to order our breakfast from the restaurant and it was far below our expectations. The lady at the counter treated us as if we were more of an inconvenience than paying customers and although our food came out quickly the only good part was the fruit. The rest had been heated in a microwave and for nearly $30 in food I would have expected it to be much better. The checkout process was smooth and the lady was very friendly.
To start off the check in clerk was rude. I arrived at 215 and was told she does not check anyone in until after 3. So I go sit and wait. The couch was full of food crumbs. A gentleman walks in about 240 and gets checked in. The elevators were not working for the entire stay. My key card would never work to unlock the side door. Very disappointed in the quality.
I chose this location due to the advertisement shown on the website. the fact it had food and a bar was appealing to me. upon my arrival it was wet and cold. I had been on the road for hours and was tired. I rested in my room and then enjoyed the amenities in the lobby. had a restful nights sleep and my checkout was quick and easy. the staff was very helpful and friendly. luckily the rain was gone but the next morning was chilly. would very much welcome the opportunity to stay at this location again.
The hotel was VERY clean and the staff was consistently courteous. The food was usual hotel fair, but pretty good all things considered. I would definitely stay here again based on my experience. They worked hard to ensure a smooth stay. Parking was a bit tight, but it looked like renovations or some sort of work was going on in the back which limited parking due to spaces being taken up by the large containers. Id stay again and recommend it to my friends and family.
Night Audit was very ride when I was 5 minutes early for their bag breakfast before work. GM was notified and seemed concerned and stated would address issue. They do not have any sort of blanket of the beds its two sheets pretty annoying. Coffee in lobby is good 🤷♀️
The bed was very comfortable and the staff was extremely accommodating. I wasnt the easiest of guests (I had check in issues on my side) and they were always smiling, patient, and flexible with possible solutions. Joleen and Anna were the best! I ordered food a bit late from the bistro both nights and they didnt seem annoyed, which means a lot. Also, the food was rather good! GREAT location and gym. I also chose the hotel for the outdoor pool but was not able to use it. Seemed nice at glance though. However, overall the facilitates are outdated for a Courtyard Marriott (standard toilets and shower from 20 years ago). BUT I would suspect this is more symptom of Abilene. This is still a nice hotel for this area. Thin walls, could hear other rooms conversations as walking by and maids *every* move outside the door. Had I slept in during my stay this would have been rather frustrating. Loud air conditioning. But this helped cover the thin walls problem and was actually kind of relaxing.
First, we love this location and use it every time we stay in Abilene. Understanding that we recently had serious weather in Texas that caused issues at the hotel, this was a rough stay. Saturday afternoon desk put us in an occupied room, ac not working in room, bed was horrible. Hoping next stay will be better.
My stay was absolutely wonderful. The room was beautiful, the staff was warm and incredibly helpful. Upon check in, the staff greeted me and asked about my reason for being in town. I told them I was taking my medical college admission test to which they flooded me with words of encouragement and smiles. Later, I began settling to my room when a staff member knocked on my door and presented me with an encouraging card that the staff members signed and a free Starbucks coffee certificate. I hope your management realizes that they have a great staff because I have seen it myself first hand. I will always recommend this hotel to anyone!
Location was very good, well lit and safe. Plenty of parking and staff was friendly. I used the online check-in and received a message saying the room was ready 2 hours before I arrived. When I got there the room was not ready. Only had to wait a short amount of time, but still inconvenient. The direct messages you can send the front desk in the app are helpful and do work. This location did not have free breakfast though. We stayed for 3 nights and paying $20 for 2 people each morning isnt worth it for pretty poor buffet style food. Only used it once, much better food at IHOP for the same price. The breakfast should be free to patrons staying more than one night, thats a definite draw for me. Other than that, the room was clean and beds were nice. Rooms had a fridge so that was a plus. Check out was simple through the app. Nice stay overall and a resonable price. Except for the sub standard breakfast.
Staff was very accommodating and the property was for the most part well maintained. The only issue I had was with the door frame on my room, which have the appearance that the room had been forcefully broken into and not repaired. Not a very secure feeling! Outside of that issue, I was very happy with my stay!
This hotel is amazing! The staff are so friendly and helpful. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. The outside patio is amazing! So inviting and comfortable. Loved the fact that we could grill outside and feed our team. The lobby inside has a lot of seating which made it nice for our girls to eat and visit. LOVED this hotel & will definitely be staying here again!
My stay at your hotel was very relaxing. I had a toilet issue and it was resolved quickly. Your staff especially all of the ladies that work the front desk are first class! Very helpful, polite and always had a smile on their face. I will definitely stay at your hotel when I return to Abilene.
I am a frequent traveler, and this is not only one of the best Marriott hotels Ive stayed at, but also one of the best hotels of any brand. The staff was exceptionally friendly, helpful, and patient; the room was clean, fresh, and well-appointed. The bar/counter service provided great, on-the-go options for breakfast (they brewed a cuppa Starbucks coffee that was better than Starbucks) and really well-made cocktails when it was time to relax in the evening (a super Manhattan!). One of my favorite points was the lovely little patio/gazebo/pool/BBQ area they managed to eke out of a narrow pathway in the back. It was a nice, shady place to spend a hot afternoon. Since I brought work with me, I appreciated that the room was quiet and spacious, and the lobby seating area was comfortable for a change of environment. Since I traveled alone, I appreciated that the hotel exterior was safely well-lit at night. Another plus: I could quickly walk to the mall, restaurants, and a grocery store. I would stay again!
Very kind and welcoming staff, they go the extra mile for their guests! Was given a nice care package with snacks and a drink on check-in. Bar/Cafe is nice and an enjoyable environment. Popcorn machine in the lobby for a snack was a nice touch. The room was very clean and modern. Will definitely be staying here again!
My stay was really excellent - the room was fabulous, front desk helpful and friendly, housekeeping skills were top notch. The downside is that they dont have a complimentary breakfast buffet which was a surprise. I guess I shouldve done my research more thoroughly and I wouldnt have been so taken aback when I approached the dining area and saw price tags on the items for sale.Otherwise, my stay was superb, Id return in the future for sure.
The rooms are in shabby condition. The bathrooms have literally no shelf space or flat surfaces for toiletries. The lobby coffee was never hot, and the breakfast hours were not adhered to.There is literally NO mask compliance, guests, nor, shockingly, staff. This property is an embarrassment to the Marriott brand.
The entire staff is very nice, accommodating, and professional. I loved walking through the lobby and having a friendly chat with the staff. The starbucks in the lobby is great. the pool if very nice, as well as the outdoor seating lounge. The room layouts are perfect, and the rooms are very clean. I stayed here for two weeks, and I will be staying here every time I come to Abilene.
Everything and everybody here was excellent! I stayed Mon-Fri for work, enjoyed the food, and loved the conversations I had with the very welcoming staff. In particular, Brianna is probably the best costumer service rep I have ever worked with! Her optimism and consistently pleasant tone really makes a difference at the hotel.
Got ringworm from this hotel after staying there for 3 nights. I know for a fact I got it from here because I remember waking up one morning with a terrible bug bite. Didnt think anything of it. Until getting back home after a week, swelling didnt go down, spread more. Made a doctors apt, says its ringworm. Im disgusted
From the moment we arrived until we departed, we were treated well. The desk clerk was excellent. She found our reservation quickly and chatted with us while she was doing it. We told her why we were in Abilene--our son and daughter-in-laws baby shower with her family. She was very personable. Our room was excellent; not one complaint. We slept so well that we slept much later than usual. It was a wonderful experience.
Want to be treated as though you are family member? Stay here. The team is very well trained and guest focused. The decor has recently been updated and food in the small bistro is wonderful. It is my favorite place to stay in Abilene and quite frankly is better than most hotels through out the country. Keep up the great effort! It is appreciated.
For the price you pay for this hotel, they have set the wow factor, great staff and very comfortable beds. I could not believe they serve Starbucks coffee after the hours of the bistro had closed! The food at the bistro is far superb from other hotels on cleanliness, taste and value. I could not believe how many computers they had at the business center. The furniture was extra clean in the lobby and in the rooms. I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone to stay while visiting Abilene.
The staff is friendly and always accommodating anytime I need something or have last minute changes to my room. The hotel room is clean and comfortable! We stayed overSeveral nights for the summer and the pool area was great and quite! Always staying here in the future!
When we got to the hotel they were very quick to get us into a room. The room was on the first floor which was great (having a 3 year old and a 3 month old with all of our things.) When we got to the room it smelled like a smoking room. I am highly allergic to cigarettes. My husband went to the lobby to tell her about the room and the lady assured him no one smoked in the room. (We were in town for a wedding and I was in the wedding) we had to get to rehearsal dinner so left the hotel. Before we even got to dinner my nose was so congested I could not breath and my eyes were swollen and blood shot. I thought I was going to be unable to be in the wedding the next day. I had to take two different medicines to control the reaction and could not sleep all night because of it. When we got back to the hotel I went to the lobby and they switched us into a room on the second floor. This room was two full beds instead of the king we reserved. My daughters bed was so old and tattered I went and got my own sheets to put on both of our beds. There were dirty socks that someone before us left in the room. It was almost as if the housekeeping did not even clean our room before we stayed. The cleaniness was the worst Ive ever seen at a hotel. The next day I got up and my husband drove me to the wedding chapel to start getting ready. Shortly after he returned to the hotel with both girls he received a call on the hotel phone from a very rude woman stating if he was not out in thirty minutes they would be escorting him out. She said we only had reservations for one night. My husband had to call me frantically while I was in the middle of getting my hair done with the bride to discuss this issue. I quickly sent pictures of our reservations stating we were to check out 4/17/16. When they saw they reservation their tone quickly changed. This over all experience was terrible and we will probably never be staying at another Merriott and we will definitely never stay at this one. Along with the cleanliness being terrible their customer service was as well. We were very disappointed and this experience ruined our wedding weekend with family.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. They always greeted us with a Hello or Have A Nice Day! Housekeeping was very friendly as well and always assisted me when/if I needed something. The rooms were very clean and comfy. My daughter and her dad really enjoyed the pool.
We discovered a live bedbug in our room. We brought it up to clerk on duty and she indicated that a manager would be in touch with us, but we never heard back. Also discovered old bloodstains on the sheets in several locations. I could not in good faith recommend this property.
This was a great place to stay. All the other hotels in the area were booked (not sure how are they were very grumpy). We were welcomed with open arms and when I asked if we could have a room on the ground floor as we were loaded down with luggage. She found us the perfect room. They are SO accommodating. You will enjoy your stay!!
This is a fantastic renovated Courtyard with a great location. The staff at this property is amazing and they are all very warm, welcoming, and greet every guest. The staff is very attentive and is eager and willing do anything possible to please the guest. When I say the staff, I mean the whole staff from housekeeping to the GM. Rooms were spacious and very clean. Will definitely be back on our next trip.
Very nice from the ladies at check in/check out, to Jennifer at the Bistro. All staff we encountered were courteous and helpful. The 9.99 breakfast buffet was very good. Our room was spacious and clean. The beds were comfortable. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.
My wife and I really enjoyed this hotel, the service was excellent and the room was nice and tidy. I especially enjoyed the in hotel amenities such as the bar and grill! It also features an outdoor fireplace that provides great ambience for you and yours on those cold winter nights!. Overall I strongly believe the courtyard by Marriott is a great place to call home when your not.
Air conditioner in room did not keep the room cold enough. The pool was smaller than expected. And there was no continental breakfast. We tried to rebook to another hotel for our stay, so we could have the continental breakfast, but nothing else was available. The hotel Starbucks was not good, and they did not accept our gift card we had. Staff was excellent, they were very accommodating when we needed towels. Beds were okay, could have been better due to the sinking in the middle with two people laying in in. The rollaway bed was available which was great, but again the rollaway bed was very uncomfortable to sleep on.
First of all, we had no towels. We had to call down to get some. Then I wake up swollen and head pounding due to mild in the window air conditioner. The bed was awful as you can feel absolutely every spring in it and it squeaks every time you move which is a lot due to the lo to no comfort level of the mattress. Then to top it all off we go down to get breakfast just to find it was a grab bag that had a banana, granola bar and a yogurt... not a good breakfast for someone that really loves to eat and was quite ready for some eggs and waffles and biscuits and gravy and bacon! For what we paid for this room we are not coming back, we come to Abilene quite often and will be staying elsewhere!
Everything was very nice. The staff was attentive and courtious beyond expectations. Had no problems or needed any interaction. Only hitch was need more than 1 coffee pouch in room as there were 2 of us. Mcdonalds was close by though. Hope you dont think scores were low, everything was above expectations and clean.
New lobby was great. Front desk was very helpful. My only issue was the cleanliness of Mt guest room bathroom. 2 out of 10. Shower looks as if it hadnt been cleaned in weeks. Limes calcium? Mildew collecting on shower heads and tile grout was horrific. More than likely will not be staying there in the future.
First staff is great, friendly, very attentive. Rooms are typical Marriott Courtyard. Seemed clean, even for an older property recently updated and clean bathroom, towels, linens, and room. I travel for work so a couple of things. I realize its summer, but if you are a business traveler request to have a room away from the pool. My room above the pool was a huge distraction as I tried to work from 6-7 as water zumba with loud music was just too much. Later I had to deal with an unwelcome roach. The walls are very thin. At midnight, I awoke to the sounds of my neighbors, newlyweds perhaps? You get my drift. And again at 5 pm the next day. Am sure thats not over until I leave tomorrow. When I was able to finally sleep, I was awoken to the trash trucks. I have never stayed at this property as there are other hotels I usually frequent more suited for my business travel and will most likely not come back.
It was the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. They had a nice lobby and were in a great location next to the mall and several restaurants but there were other hotels near by and I highly recommend going to one of those. We had three rooms for three nights, we booked them all together several weeks out and where still on three different floors, which is annoying but fine. One of our three rooms was never cleaned the entire time we stayed there. The worst thing though is that they never in forced the pool rules. Two of the three nights we had to call the front desk multiple times trying to get them to tell the guest that they cant scream at the pool at 2 am. It took over 2 hours and six phone calls the first night and 45 minutes, 4 calls and us threatening to report them to the cops for disturbing the peace before they told them they had to leave the pool. It was unacceptable that they let a few drunk people in the pool ruin several peoples sleep.
My sister and I stayed at the Courtyard Abilene Southwest on a recent business trip. The hotel is well-maintained and clean. The room was comfortable and the beds were clean and comfortable. The only difficulty we encountered was in the hotel restaurant. We ordered a cup of soup and salad for an evening meal. We were the only people in the restaurant and it took over an hour to be served. The food and wine was pricey.
We always stay at this specific hotel when in Abilene and have had exceptional service. Not this time....sadly the staff was rude (mostly the bartender) and our room was unsatisfactory. The shower made an awful noise and did not drain. Our guests room was not ready when they arrived to check in.
Easy to locate. Location is convenient for shopping and eating. Staff is friendly. Rooms are nice with all the features one would expect from a Marriott. The Bistro is quite good and priced as you would expect. Healthy options. Beds are soft. Thermostat is digital. Sound travels. Big time. Its easy to hear anything a person is saying or doing in their room while just walking by.
The price is great. The rooms are fresh, crisp and clean. It was like staying in a room that had never been used, and I like that feeling! Everything was clean and fresh. The pool and courtyard were beautifully kept and maintained, and the ambience was beautiful at all time. it was a very comfortable stay. Staff are friendly and courteous.
I appreciated the personnel at the hotel. They were friendly and helpful.Bucky especially was very responsive and helpful.Having the TV start on No Service is annoying.Did not have papers distributed to the room like any other Courtyard. The Bistro concept is not the best. Prefer the way that breakfast was in the past.Like the Starbucks.
We booked two beds because we have children. Unfortunately we were given a king and were given no explanation until we got to the room and called the front desk. Then I felt as though it was handled wrong. Like too bad. Not even an apology. We went to our event and came back to find only one parking spot available. It was handicapped. The attendant told us to park there. Not something we wanted to do but had no other option. Just after 9 am we are awakened by housekeeping. Really? Your whole business revolves around giving people a place to come and sleep. So far we dont have beds which are a requirement, a proper parking spot, another requirement, then we get woke up so you can get ready for your next guests?! The hotel was nice but no, we did not feel welcome or enjoy our stay AT ALL!! We just wanted a place to come and sleep for one night.
I have already put in many reviews for our stay. Please go back and look at all of them and they all stay the same. I have spoken with someone over the phone as well. I was sent an email stating that half of our money would be refunded to the card on file but I still havent seen that happen. We are from Amarillo and were in town due to my husbands grandmother being very ill and possibly not making it through the night. All of the other family members stay at the hotel next door but we took a chance with the Courtyard because we have never had a problem before. We should have stay with them. I stay was horrible from the time we checked in to the time we left. We had to be moved rooms because everything was broken in the first room. We had to walk down stairs to tell them things were broken because the phones didnt even work. We were told that things had been fixed when we returned from our visit with the family that night but it had not been. We were very tired and emotional and just wanted to come in to a nice hotel and rest our heads and have a bit to eat. We had to pack up our stuff and move it all to another room down the hall. It was a handicap room and had a musty odor, ants and the balcony had many many dead bugs and just dirty.
We had an issue with one of my coworkers reservation, the way the manager on duty handled it and it somehow got cancelled. Then the bartender one night was very rude in explaining the rules of not bringing your adult beverages down from your room. The cleaning staff and morning staff at the Bistro did an excellent job. Just wished that type of service carried through to the other half of the staff.
Our Family Reunion (June 21-23, 2019) was very pleasant. Nice restaurants in the area, and a nice mall just across the street...terrific grocery store around the corner, and a convenient theater for the kids. I just really enjoyed our stay because so many of our folks are from nearby towns and communities. Some folks came a long way so I appreciate the comfort and very courteous staff.
Had a great time. I have to say this was the best experience Ive ever had when staying at a hotel. Your Guest of the Day program rocks! I had took my Grandmother with me just to get her out and about on a fun road trip to see the sights and we both were so shocked to see Mr Layne up in the Guest of the Day board. We felt very special and the water bottle with the vouchers was so appreciated. Both Whitney and Brianna where especially helpful, warm, and stepped out of the box to ensure our visit to Abilene was outstanding. Both made suggestions on different shops and restaurants and made us aware the some additional discounts for local museums was available for Marriott guests. Thank you for making what may have been just another stay an Amazing adventure for my Grandmother and I.
We were in town for the West Texas Stockshow. The hotel is adjacent the to the mall and many eateries and about 12 minutes from the Expo Center/Airport. We just needed a good, clean, comfortable room to catch a few hours of sleep each night and our room here worked out perfectly. The bed was very comfortable. The only amenity I used was the laundry room; the washer and dryer worked well. Our room was a little small; if staying more than a two to three nights I would recommend a suite.
The front desk staff was great and the bar staff was wonderful. Make sure you spend some time relaxing outside in the courtyard. But beware of maids blocking the hallways and if at all possible eat breakfast somewhere else. Morning restaurant staff is slow, rude, and blames their guests for their lack of efficiency.
First, we didnt stay there. I just called to see if there were any gluten-free options available at breakfast. Person who answered was polite and asked. She came back on saying no, maybe the oatmeal and fruit but that was it. I asked if the oatmeal was gluten-free (not all is) and she was pretty curt. I dont know, you would have to talk to corporate, they make all the decisions, we just sell it. Pretty harsh. Its hard enough having dietary restrictions when youre traveling and a simple Im so sorry we dont have anything that would work for you would have been a much better response. So may be a great hotel but my experience with the front desk person was pretty poor.
I have stayed at many hotels, and most of them Courtyards, if I have a choice. But this hotel, this experience, will not be soon forgotten. I must attribute my wonderful stay to only one thing and one person. First the easy item, the room. Beautifully spacious 2 room suite with an outdoor balcony on the 2nd floor. I simply loved the room and the ability to simply walk outside and have a smoke. Second, but much more difficult and important too explain, the woman at the bistro. I wont blast her name here, but simply the most beautiful, kind-hearted, sarcastically wonderful woman I have met in a long time. I felt like I was talking to an old friend the entire time I was there. She was sweet, intuitive, and was able to satisfy my pallet with the most wonderful chicken quesadillas I have had in a long time. So good I ordered 2. I hope to find a reason to travel back to Abilene, if not for work, then only too see her again.
I had a short stay at the hotel. Checked in late and checked out early due to bad weather condition. The room and especially the bed felt comfortable. Room and bathroom were also clean. Check in were also easy and quick. Staffs were nice and professional. Also, I think the hotel located next to a mall and numerous restaurants.Room is a bit small and No breakfast. But we were aware of these when we booked the room.
Staff is nice. Coffee is not provided in the lobby. And everyone knows that the room coffee is barely adequate.Rooms smell bad - we moved from one to another and same smell. A mixture between cigarette smoke and stale air. The second room we moved to had a noisy a/c. Thank goodness the bed was comfortable or we would have never been able to fall asleep. We went out for breakfast and coffee to another location.
Its an average place to stay. Put it a few more smiling faces at the front desk. The rooms were extremely well-kept. Get the smoking area away from the front door as you walk in. As a non-smoker I always had to walk through a cloud of smoke to get in the hotel. There was always people out front smoking no matter what time of the day or night. Its a gross feeling after you showered and are going out for a business meeting that night.
I am a continuous guest at marriot and currently a gold member and was surprised to find there was no continental breakfast or food voucher included with my stay. None the less the staff was professional and friendly but the manager seemed unknowable in certain policies she asked. But beds were comfy and room was great as expected
A good friend of mine came to visit and her car got stolen over night. There are no cameras outside, its as if they are encouraging criminals. Not to mention, the fence around the pool is broke open so anyone can come swimming without the staff knowing. If you like to stay somewhere unsafe then this is it.
Ive stayed at this property about 6 times for both business and pleasure. Very nicely decorated, rooms are large and bathrooms are very nice. Staff is friendly and helpful. Bistro is delicious for breakfast. The Abilene mall is right across the street and there are an assortment of restaurants within walking distance from the hotel. I would recommend this location to anyone staying in the Abilene area.
Although we had made a reservation well in advance and arrived late in the afternoon, only one room with a king-size bed (which we had reserved) was available. The room was intended for the handicapped and was not at all what we had had in mind. There was no place to hang long clothing (such as dresses) and the shower was difficult to manipulate. In fact, it created a small pond in our bathroom. Worse, our neighbors were loud late at night and early in the morning, suggesting that the walls were thin and poorly insulated. The price did not reflect a good value. Not at all a pleasant stay.
I booked two rooms for my husband and a group of young men...the website I searched showed pictures of an outdoor pool AND a square-shaped hot tub...also said breakfast included on the advertisement...neither of these were true! This morning I have 6 somewhat disappointed men calling me...Thanks for a clean room...but we dont appreciate false advertising!
The property appearance was nice and clean in the lobby and service area. However, it was the worst 2 nights sleep we have had in a long time. The room was extremely damp and no matter how low we set the AC it never dried out. The cover for the AC unit was barely hanging on to the unit and you could see mold and moisture on the inside. The mattresses were very low quality and uncomfortable, so bad I slept in the chair the 2nd night. This must be an older property from all the stains on the carpeting in the room and condition of the furniture. After our 1st night, housekeeping took the soap and did not replenish it for our 2nd night. I was also disappointed that there was only 1 package for 1 cup of coffee in the room and it too was not replenished on the second day. I was shocked to find out there was not free coffee in the breakfast area. I will be going to Abilene often in the next 4 years and will most likely not be going back to this one.
This hotel is in serious need of a remodeling. The carpeting was well worn, stained and dirty looking. The sofa looked well worn and with a tear on one of the arms. Did not look clean. Was not about to sit on it.The room we were given had an odor to it. Reported it to the front desk and was given another room that was no better. Upon check out I mentioned to the gentleman at the front desk that this hotel is in need of a serious remodeling and we were very disappointed with our stay. He did take notes.
This property was one of the friendliest and cleanest Ive stayed at, and I stay at a lot of Marriottt owned properties during the year. Requested extras were in our room when we arrived and a hand written note wishing us a good stay. Every staff member I encountered said hello and asked how we were.Front desk has a sign that recognizes reward members staying on property.Hotel is near tons of shopping and places to dine. Right across the street from the mall.
Check in was effecient and friendly. Food was average to excellent, depending on item ordered, but breakfast was the best. Most of the staff is very attenttive and friendly, especially Jennifer and Chyrl, even remembering my name. I found most of the staff very accommodating to my needs. Rooms could use a make over and thorough cleaning. Will stay here again.
This hotel is centrally located and within walking distance to the mall and a couple of restaurants. The lobby is updated and and has a nice little bar/food counter. The staff were very friendly and always said hello. The beds are comfortable, too. We stayed over Thanksgiving weekend and it was very quiet.
What most impress me during my stay in Courtyatd, was when I left. unfortunatelly I forgot an item on my room, one call to the hotel was enough for them to offer me to sended it back to me via mail. I would NEVER will forget that kind gesture. Thank you Front desk lady.
The problems with the A/C unit and the lack of housekeeping activity noted with the empty Pringles can, soda pop caps and busted balloons as well as scotch tape w/pieces of paper streamers all over the ceiling and fixtures was disappointing. The lack of available service/maintenance; especially if the facility was 100% full, was concerning. The A/C fixing attempt by the front desk worker was admirable, but I dont think banging on the unit is a sound maintenance technique. I just felt like we were a bother versus there was genuine concern. It is important to me to feel safe where I stay when I am traveling; before this stay, it was just nice to feel like you had no worries about staying at Courtyard. The Courtyard Abilene has created some concern about Courtyard as a whole.
My son and I had fun there. Especially knowing he forgot his favorite stuffed dinosaur and the staff found it and gave it to my friend who stays in Abilene for him to send it back to me. They made a picture booklet of places the dinosaur visted while he was lost in the hotel. Haven’t received it yet but looking forward to seeing it. Thank you staff soooo much!!! He’s going to be so happy and surprised.
This place has terrible customer service upon check in. Didnt offer water after repeatedly telling them I am thirsty. The rooms are not organized at all. The beds face the windows and the TV faces a wall. You cannot watch TV sitting on bed. I travel 365 days a year because of my job. And this has been a very bad experience. The coffee pot in my room was dusty and the iron was broken.
Nice staff.Rooms you can hear thru the wallsZero water pressureThe plugs are too wide in the beds and don’t actually hold ANY 2 prong chargers. Just sits and won’t connect for a charge. Have only 2 plugs in room where chargers work. Recommend Hilton Garden Inn or Marriott Residenance Inn is across the street.
The staff at this location was very rude. Rewards membership makes no difference. Maybe I am just not a elite enough of a member. Do not plan on eating breakfast here. I cant speak to the other menus, but the prices were extremely high and the portions and quality were very substandard. There are plenty of options outside of the hotel, and in close proximity. For that matter, there are plenty of hotels with staff that is friendly and breakfast options included.
On most recent stay, the box spring on the bed was not installed properly and the frame poked through the box spring fabric and would drop to the floor. We informed the front desk and the first response was We have no other openings, then proceeded to tell no other complaints had been received and maintenance was gone for the night. No resolution until next day after waiting for 45 minutes on the maintenance man. He fixed the frame and the box springs fit properly. There was also water leaking from the kitchen area and a constant puddle was right in the middle of the doorway down the hall to get to the rooms. It was giving off an odor. There is no complementary breakfast, its all Starbucks.Only 2 wash cloths and towels, not separate wash cloth for sink and shower per person.
The carpet was threadbare and coming up from the edges in places. For a handicapped room, it was difficult for me to shut the bathroom door and impossible for my grandmother. We got a suite hoping for a queen-sized pullout sofa bed (just seems normal to me) but I had to sleep with two children on the full-sized cot. The tub didnt drain, and the hotel did not give any second thought to my grandmothers request of near the entrance when they took her money for the suite, knowing they were literally the furthest rooms away from the entrance. Their courtyard was boring and it was just a bunch of couches outside. No music, no activity. The pool was clean and fun. Theres no free breakfast, but there is a poor excuse for a restaurant in the foyer.
Everything was as expected at the hotel. We got into Abilene early and they were still able to get us checked into the hotel as soon as we arrived (10AM). Never has a hotel accommodated such an early check-in...for me, at least. The room was clean, the bistro had good food, and the hotel staff was very helpful. We were very happy with our stay and would highly recommend the Courtyard Marroitt.
The front desk staff needs to be a bit more polished and warm to the clients. The coffee shop setup for the restaurant needs to change. Courtyard is supposed to have a full service restaurant. My breakfast order took almost 20 mins, which is not acceptable. Cant blame the crew as they were busy making lattes.
I travel a lot and it was a treat to stay at the Courtyard Marriott Abilene. Walking in to the hotel, I first got a a smile from the operator at the desk. After checking in the operator walked around the desk and gave me my key to my room and pointed in the direction I needed to go. I was tired and the onsite Bistro/Bar was awesome. It fit fit the bill for the evening and morning. All of the staff a the hotel were awesome and so courteous.
I arrived late with car trouble, very concerned about the second leg of my trip the following morning- a funeral two hours north. The evening staff looked past the basic Toyota website, and found out that the service department opened at 7:30. They then made me dinner, and made sure I was comfortable for the night. I was able to work from the room with the free wi-fi, and contact my family with no trouble. The morning staff was equally helpful- getting me easy directions to the dealership, and giving me a ride back there after my care was ready. Everyone was very kind, and went out of their way to be helpful.
We were here for a wedding and the hotel was selected for us by the family. It was fine for our needs, but if I were selecting a hotel for myself it would not be this one. The shower was dirty, the water was yellow and the air conditioner didnt work in the living room of our suite.

2022-06-25Seems a little dated. Theres a single elevator to service the 3 floors - its on the small side and is a little slow, but its still faster than the stairs. The room was OK - no USB plugs, so bring your chargers. Breakfast is separate purchase only - no continental breakfast. The sausage was raw, so we ended up getting a refund and moving on down the road. OK experience, but lots of room to improve.

2022-06-07My daughter and I were traveling from Phoenix, AZ back to Madison, MS. I decided that I would drive 13 hours and spend the night in Abilene. This hotel need a serious remodel; tubs are very old and have dirt in the groves used to keep you from falling and also had a ring around tub. We changed rooms and the next was better but you could still see slight brown color in the tub. There was no lotion or Kleenex. Actually they had a box on Kleenex hanging on wall in hallway. 🤔Whomever is managing or owns this hotel is cutting corners. I sat a box on floor that had my shoes in it. When I picked it up I could see white dog hairs on it. It’s not the worst place to stay but I won’t ever stay there again if in the area.If you are use to staying in very nice updated hotels this Courtyard is not the one. The staff was friendly but the hotel is way below Marriott standard.

2022-08-09Nice overnite stay. Welcoming staff to me and my puppy, which is a nice change from how Ive been greeted in other dog-friendly roadside stays. Situated away from the main highway, so quiet. Nice bistro bar with good cocktails and lovely courtyard patio next to the outdoor pool. Breakfast is made to order, Starbucks coffee.

2022-05-09Clean room and nice courtyard with pretty pool, but the bar service was some of the worst in that the bar tender poured my wine in a tall beer glass because of no wine glasses and he didn’t know scotch from gin. Also, the breakfast service was extremely slow. They only have one person taking orders, making drinks, making food, and who knows what else.

2022-05-28Front desk staff is rude and seem unconcerned about inconveniencing their guests. Check in is at 3:00. This isn’t a surprise. It’s standard practice in the hospitality industry. But if I’m trying to check in after 4pm and the front desk clerk will not even look up from her screen to inform me that they were conducting some kind of room audit and I would need to wait then there is a serious issue with service here. I would recommend avoiding this property and sticking to the Marriott properties on the north side of Abilene. I can understand that bad days happen. Staff can unexpectedly not show up for work, etc. But being nice to people is a two way street. Overworked service workers need to share a little of the grace they’re asking for from paying customers. The management and owners of this franchise really need to re-examine their business practices if the two women working on the afternoon of May 28 are the best they can get for what they are paying.

2022-05-15We stay Saturday May 14th. Seem to be pretty busy and they had hardly anyone up front. They are dont have a breakfast. There a bar and restaurant their, but if you want food be know it not part of the room charge. We where sadly misinformed. There was also a lady named Sara I believe. (Could be wrong all I saw was an S on the name badge) she did not feel very inviting and friendly and told us we had to pay with a card or charge our room bc there was no cash. I just said forget it, but there was a nice guy William who just offer to pay for our food. So that was a positive. The room was okay. Just normal hotel room. Not too loud. Check front desk lady was nice.

2022-03-18I was pretty shocked at the pricing but last minute birthday plans for my daughter, what can you do. Then I was REALLY disappointed they didn’t have a continental breakfast! Almost $300 for 1 night and there’s not a free breakfast?! That’s ridiculous! Moving on, my daughter lets me know she was certain she left a brand new pair of boots there, after searching every other possible place for them, I call the hotel, they check and tell me they will give me a call back after speaking with housekeeping… I’ve called EVERY day this week and get the same thing told to me and NEVER get a call back!! Pretty sure I know what happened to the boots and I will absolutely be seeing what all I can do about that. Their lack of trying to assist and even just to call back has beyond upset me towards this overpriced hotel. Do no spend your money here!

2022-03-19We reserved a room with two beds and when we got there they only had rooms with one. Because of this my 11 year old daughter had to sleep on a very uncomfortable couch. We were. bumped from our room so the hotel could accommodate a large group of teenagers that showed up. It isnt right to treat your customers this way. Never again . Zero stars.

2022-06-22Positive: The staff was great, check in was a breeze. Room was clean and the hotel was very quiet. Negative: I honestly thought the bed was not very comfortable.
