Cracker Barrel Old Country Store in other cities:
I enjoy the old type of country music you can have with any time of the day especially with your family Ive been there many times And it is very friendly If you like the old country style go there immediately because it is a great place to visit pushing the store where you can have memories made. With a great meal.
Our daughter was visiting from Calif and so we took her here for lunch. My husband and her had the Sunday Fried Chicken and I had the Southern Fried Chicken with biscuits, mashed potatoes w/ white gravy and green beans. It was delicious. Crunchy on the outside and moist and juicy on the inside. Wow! I would give it 10 stars if I could. The waitress was very friendly and service was really fast. We love this place.
Always a great experience at the Baytown location. Very nice staff quick to help you get what you need. Food is cooked how you want and service is very quick. Just a word of advice to keep food warm ask to at a table that doesnt have a fan over it. Cold eggs arent very tasty.
Wait was ridiculous. Why we had to wait on a round table to fit our party of 9 was ridiculous seeing as how you could have put 2 tables together to fit our family, and yes there were plenty of four tops sat while we waited outside in the humid Texas heat. Regular folks cant afford to sit with their cars running for 30-40 minutes. Food came out at different times...and quite frankly no one said anything good about your food. The only saving grace was our waitress. She was great, but she could not help cooks have our food ready at the same time. This is where my 86 yr old Mama wanted to celebrate her birthday and other than the company of our family we could have been at a McDonalds. Wont be back.
Disappointed honestly...the food was barely warm. Biscuits and cornbread OLD and hard to enjoy. This used to be my go to comfort food of all time....worked there as teenager lol. The employees were not friendly and obviously didnt want to be there....so why are ya???? Dang best part shopping in gift shop but wish I didnt spend as much as I did ...thats probably keeping place open. I know back when we took pride in our work and made dining there a pleasant experience.Smh ...its a shame
If you order delivery from them expect to never get the gravy or dipping sauce it comes with. I used to order with them all the time but since this spring they stopped giving me the gravy with the chicken fried steak or the dipping sauce with chicken strips. Im sick of it. They do nothing to fix it even if you say something.
Visited this place on Saturday and waited for a table over an hour, we were a large group. However they had said it would be less. Workers were awesome and super friendly however the managers a white man and a black lady were very rude. After all that wait they split up out party after already being seated, all while being rude. So then finally half of us split up and my daughter 12 year old was at the end of a table and the black lady continued to say your baby is going to have to move to the other table which was not an option. She then just left her there. All this the two managers had on a rude face. To add to all this someone messed up on our order because half of the food took too long to come out while other peoples food was ready people who ordered way after.
Really gone down. Service is horrible. Waitress Linae was extremely rude, rushing, annoyed, angry. Cashier Kaitlyn was worse than her and so very condescending. I paid for my tea & left. There was no way I could stay there after a long day at work and he somewhere I wasnt welcome. Wont be back to that location EVER.
Okay, so to be completely honest I was a bit hesitant to go to this place. I have lived in Baytown for years and have family there, yet have never been. Just gave off this kinda run down country vibe (all those rocking chairs tho?!) that I wasn’t feeling, and I figured it was similar to something like Denny’s.Running out of options for dinner on a Sunday night, my wife suggested we give Cracker Barrel a try with my son quickly following with a big sigh.Long story short- we truly enjoyed it, both the food and the environment. Yes, yes, it is country style but in a nice way with dim lighting and good home cookin’ style food. We all finished our plates and were pretty satisfied with the pricing (average) not to mention our waiter was pretty helpful and not bothersome.Of course my wife loved the store so we did a quick browse through that as well, pretty interesting stuff. Overall we left feeling satisfied and a little guilty for being so judgemental of this little country restaurant before giving it a shot. I’m sure we’ll eat there again.
I love this place the servers were friendly the service was fast & the Lemon Pepper Rainbow Trout was amazing! My daughter had chicken tenders and My Boo had the fried chicken. Everyone enjoyed the food and the bill was reasonable. Did i mention the biscuits & blackberry jam😋. I highly recommend Cracker Barrel .
For the restaurant, I give it a 3. For the store, Ill give it a 4.Cracker Barrel Old Country was our go to road trip pit stop. This was when we were living in Nevada. At that time the experience felt like novelty. Like a step back in time.Theres a cute selection of childrens clothes in this store. I was just browsing. It also had a good selection of toys. The candy section will bring take you back to your childhood days. Ah, and the soda bottle collection would make you want to try them. The food in this particular was good. (I had a bad experience at the Houston location where the pork chop was pale, smelled a little and was tough). However, at all the locations these days, you have to ask for that Apple butter. They no longer serve it automatically with the corn bread and biscuits. For a chain, this is an interesting store, especially for the seasonal home items they have at the store.
Look I go here ALL the time and I usually have a great experience and great food. However today was the exception...waitress brought us burnt biscuits... we just kept them because they were hot...then my bacon came out crunchy burnt not crunchy golden brown but crunchy black and burnt .. When I asked for more bacon...the reply was , oh you dont like it crunchy??...I replied no I dont like it burnt...got a little eye roll and then new bacon. That wasnt my waitress it was someone from the back...but whoever she was she contributed to this post! Both my hash browns and toast came out later but it finally came and the place was not crowded...I still gave a tip to the waitress because I tip everyone unless you are just horrible.
Excellent meal, and the place was not overcrowded like cracker barrel usually is. Our waiter Zachary was very attentive and professional. The food was fresh and tasted great, except for my mashed potatoes which where crusty and looked like they had been on my plate a lot longer than the rest of my food. If it werent for mashedpotatogate, I would give 5 stars.
Got sat right away, food was good, but the service lacked ALOT! Had 3 different servers for some reason (was not understaffed) took quite awhile (over 5 min each time) for drink refills...no excuse for that. Asked for some bbq sauce and a drink refill after we received our food and that took over 5 min. Seems as though some of the servers had friends in there eating so they were busy chatting with them than taking care of their tables. I will give this place 1 more chance in hopes we have a different server that actually pays attention to their tables.
The food is delicious. This review is to make a suggestion to management due to the fact that on many occasions I have made the wrong turn being directed by your sign. The sign should be located on the street that its directed to turn on. I know this could be confusing for others as its for me.
We decided to do Thanksgiving here this year. We arrived around 11 and to our surprise were seated relatively quickly. The manager let us know they had been hit by lightning minutes before we arrived and were operating on a generator. They advised they would not have access to a full kitchen but would do their best. Even with the power out we still enjoyed great food, good convo and friendly service. We were so thankful they were open on Thanksgiving. The staff all did such a wonderful job! And our waitress Farrah rocked! Thanks again!!
If you like being seated and then watch as everyone seated after you is waited on then this is the place for you. The tables on either side of us were waited on despite us coming in before them. 6 different wait staff and a manager walked by before we got up and walked out past another 3 wait staff standing and talking by the fireplace. Sorry we wasted our time.
Ive been looking for a cracker barrel since i moved to Houston. I finally find one close. Although my service was excellent the food was horrible. I ordered the fried catfish and eggs. Not only was my fish cold it was soaked to the touch with grease. I asked to pay for an extra piece and didnt get it. And the portion size is fit for a kids entree not an adult.
The food was good but this place was absolutely filthy inside. The floor needed both sweeping and mopping. Many tables had not been bussed or wiped down and we sat next to a chair with a tub full of dirty dishes next to us for most of our meal. They appeared to have plenty of employees just not many interested in working. If this had been my first trip to a Cracker Barrel we would have left instead of ordering. We kept waiting for cleanup to happen. We were there between lunch and dinner times and they werent very busy.
So I walk into Cracker Barrel approximately 8 p.m. and the hostess says you need a mask I said it didnt say that on the door oh yes it does she says to me heres a picture of their door and the two signs doesnt say I have to wear a mask now does it then I get served burnt food my service was good only good thing I can say about them
Not good. Gravy was nearly warm. Grits cool. Pan cakes would not melt the butter. The waitress was very nice. Coffee hot. No strawberry jelly. I went during the Christmas season. Lots of travelers were there by the out of state license plates. Cracker Barrel is living off what they use to be. A great place to eat. Not anymore. Will not be spending any more money there.
While the service wasnt as bad as yesterday in Beaumont, it was lacking. We waited 30 minutes before stopping someone to ask for biscuits and cornbread, then they agreed. When they brought it, it came along with an incorrect order. All of this still doesnt help the fact that I am extremely disappointed in Cracker Barrel in general. I used to love their fried chicken tenders because they tasted more like hand-battered than frozen. Today, the mac n cheese was tasteless and I got a plate of pilgrims pride tenders.
It was busy but that’s normal for a Saturday and we where ok with it . Server was amazing . The issues we had is the food my French toast wasn’t cooked all the way and either was the eggs my son food wasn’t looking good either , we ate the food not thinking too much and next thing we know we are all sick puking and have stomach issues . We where all fine before this .
Down home southern good eats. Hasbrown casserole cant be beat. Grilled chicken tenders for those looking for a healthy bite at pretty dang awesome. And of course all of the beautiful items to shop for. I found these amazing pants for 40% off yesterday. I just love them!!!
Poor management/communication. We walked up to the outside lady and she told us there is no wait. We walk inside and the hostess says she’s so confused and didn’t know if they had a wait or not then had to put us on the wait list bc they did have a wait. People that walked in after us got sat before us.
I love the country store. It is very distracting but thats exactly what its there for. One lady was very sweet and held my items while I ate and then I purchased them from her at the end. Several of us were using walkers and they accommodated us very well and we were able to sit right inside the door. Service was great and our waiter was very friendly. As usual the food was good and I had enough to take home and eat later.
Though Cracker Barrel is very consistent in food quality I have noticed a trend of smaller portions on side orders and an established Cracker Barrel can have wait times that will make me seek out other options for breakfast or lunch. Once built they never seem to expand restaurants seating capacity and service is tending to slip in the want to provide customer service and care. I am aware of the shortage of workers, but this does not preclude them from treating customers like the guest they are.
It was TERRIBLE in the worst way.. bad service and bad food.. wont return..Edit.Cooperate contacted me and asked me to tell them more details.. and I I obliged in detail.. they didnt give 2 shakes about what happened.. was a waste of my time to write them.. it went totally ignored on my end
Havent been to this location in a couple years. Came during Brunch/Lunch time. Had to wait almost 20 minutes for a Table . Finally got seated in an out of the way busy section but my waitress was nice. I got Grannys Sampler with Blueberry Pancakes & coffee. Also had some biscuits with butter & Jam. The biscuits were great , warm & fluffy. My food was very good the pancakes were delicious as always. I enjoyed my meal here even though the section I was seated in was a bit overwhelmed . I will definitely be back soon.
Stopped for a late dinner with my daughter. The menu was do limited that we had a difficult time ordering. I ended up ordering bacon, which was cooked just right and eating it with the tiny biscuits and gravy. There wasnt enough gravy so it was too dry to eat more than two. Daughter was unhappy that she couldnt find a dinner she wanted so settled for a breakfast meal. I am not fond of the food served here and am aggravated with myself when I do stop here. This is just my opinion. I know it is a favorite stop for many people. I know I am picky. You must form your own opinion
The reason for the low rating was the freshness level of the food we received. It was very busy (lunch time 12:30) returned the turkey chicken fried turkey (was so hard couldnt cut and or eat) for chicken fried chicken. Horrible.... did enjoy the coleslaw though. Wont eat at this location again.
The food here is actually decent, however fundamental things such as the service and cleanliness is atrocious. I have multiple flies swarming around me as I’m eating. Servers forget to bring your entree and eventually bring it out cold. They talk back to you when you merely mention you didn’t receive something that was part of your order. There is always something wrong with your order. Maybe Cracker Barrel should stop skimming off of servers tips and see if the customer service improves. Cracker Barrel probably makes enough off of the gift store alone.
Update 5-27-22Ive been to this Cracker Barrel several times since my last review. The food and service have been excellent!Breakfast on 9/24/16, 9:45am... I wouldve given them a 4 rating, but seems like the quality of the food has diminished some, but what was really lacking was their service from our waiter John. From the time he was taking our drink order he gave us attitude for no reason. I understand its a Saturday and their busiest time of the day, but not a reason for an attitude especially when we were courteous to him the entire time. I wish I couldve talked to the manager instead of writing a poor review, but he was also busy.
You have to enter the building through the gift shop which is a crowded mess. The gift shop is cramped and not made to hold the number of people trying to get to the restaurant seating side. Prices on the gifts are high but somethings are priced reasonably. The food was good, I had the Classic Burger ($8.49). They put all the vegetables under the meat pattys which makes the bottom bun soggy fast. I didnt finish the burger because I couldnt hold it after awhile. The staff were polite and did theyre best on serving us, she was juggling 9 of us so I hold nothing against her for small mistakes. But the restaurant itself is just not set up well. If you want to leave your seat expect to be on top of everyone sitting around you, not to mention the staff walking by trying to work. Overall its and ok place to eat but they need to rearrange the tables and gift shop lay out.
Visited this location, and all i got to say is that this place was outstanding. Ghe service was great, very friendly staff and that is very difficult to come by during holidays. Not only their service was great but gheir food was also very pleasant. Great place for a family outing and after that amazing meal, the fun doesnt end because of the store next to the dining area. Overall, excellent.
Really good food. When I stop and get food there its usually at night around 9 pm and still get good customer service and fresh food. Ive been there for breakfast a couple of times and to be honest I get the same customer service from everyone working there. Great staff. Always friendly and ready to help.
The last time I went it was super busy but I got on the waiting list like everyone else did and waited. Once I got my table I browsed through the menu and saw what I wanted. I ordered and the food came out very quickly. I recommend the meatloaf and as a side macaroni and cheese
I went for Father’s Day and knew it was going to be packed. I called to see how the wait time was and it was 15 min around 9am. The cool thing I learned about this restaurant is that you can put your name in a waiting list online. All you have to do is look at the correct address and put your name and phone number.Even though it was full, our food came out pretty quick. Maybe 25-30 min wait. It didn’t feel like long because I was talking with my family.I ordered a French toast. There was something I didn’t like much about it. I couldn’t tell if it was the syrup or it just had too much egg in it. But other than that everything was amazing. They also serve biscuits, which are my favorite.
Me my wife and son stopped by to eat at this cracker barrel its been years since I ate at one this my first time at this one and last I ordered the grandma breakfast the eggs tasted bad I ate most of it and my stomach started to hurt bad I was in the restroom for almost two days I will never go back
It was what I would expect from Cracker Barrel. There was nothing show-stopping about their customer service at this location - just average. So why did I give it a 4 star? Well, for us locals that are accustomed to Cracker Barrel, its like an old comfy shoe that we may take for granted. Although, a good southern homemade breakfast reign supreme, Cracker Barrel has a pretty good breakfast and tasty fried catfish. So I would hate for a newbie to see 3 stars (which is what I would have given it) and dismiss Cracker Barrel without trying it. If you are coming from out-of-town, I would definitely recommend them. Do not be alarmed by the flea market/garage sale when you first open the door (if that is not your thing). I promise you their is a restaurant behind it all.
At first we were upset with Cracker Barrel for leaving out our dessert in our order. I had to go back to the store because we paid $3.99 a slice for Pecan and Apple Strudel Pie. Got back to the store and I was little hacked off. But the Manager was very apologetic and gave me 2 whole pies for their mistake. I was shocked and pleased that CB stood by their commitment to make things better for their customers. Great food, great service, and great employees. Thank you from Baytown, Texas.
Older man John (waiter) was very rude to my wifes family and I on Saturday Nov 27 at around 10AM. The restaurant was loud and very busy and I can understand stress levels may have been higher for personnel but when my mother in law could not hear John (the waiter we had) and as we repeatedly asked him to repeat himself (we couldnt hear his low voice in the busy restaurant) he snapped and told my mother in law in a very rude sarcastic tone am I not speaking english or what is happening here. We speak english perfectly fine and I dont want to believe his comment was racially motivated. Not only did he make the rude remark but he also got more than half of the items on our order wrong and we had to wait an excessive amount of time to start eating. At the end of our breakfast he came back and apologized for his attitude but patrons beware if you are looking to go out for breakfast and have a good time with your family on a busy weekend morning. I hope managment is aware and does not support this type of behaviour. 2/5 stars.
Green beans was greasy,no taste. Ive seen chicken strips bigger than my husbands steak. Ordered a baked potato fully loaded and all he got was some cheese and a few bacon bits, potatoes was still hard inside and had to ask for the sour cream and butter to put on it. I got chicken fried steak, which was good actually, but we had to ask for steak knives to cut our steaks with. Never did get the steak sauce for my husband. Service was decent. Half our food was good, other half bad. Ill stick to the breakfast menu next time.
I love Cracker Barrel. I rarely have a bad experience, and when I do they are quick to make it right. When I go, I generally order the grilled chicken salad. They have changed up the grilled chicken a little, and I dont love it as much as I liked the old recipe; but when I cover it in their honey mustard dressing, I cant taste the difference. Pro tip: ask for your bread when you order your drinks. Servers are trained to bring it with your meal, but will gladly bring it beforehand upon request. And I rarely drink sweet tea, but I almost always have it at Cracker Barrel. Its not overwhelmingly sweet; its a perfect compliment to their delicious food. This is a perfect place for a meal any time of day.
I go every now and then because i love the breakfast pancakes. Service and everything was all well and good. But my only biggest complaint is that one of your staff members by the name of Andrew has such terrible body odor and poor hygiene that just ruined my meal and my appetite. Please have that issue fix because proper hygiene is important especially in a food industry.
Our server Thomas was wonderful, food was very good, but most importantly, I left my purse! The staff located it while cleaning after we left and kept it locked up til I could get back the next day. Thank you whoever found it for your honesty. Honest and trustworthy folks make this place worth revisiting!
I love this place, always have most likely always will. This was my first time at this location and it was rather nice. Our waiter was very sweet and had a great personality to bounce off of during our meal. Food was cooked great as always. My only complaint was how crowded it was. Not to mention the poor girl in the front of the store was struggling to take care of the customers waiting to be seated. It was not her fault at all, I didnt see any manager or anyone else attempt to help her.
The service was only fair. We had to ask for everything, silverware, napkins etc. The food was again only fair. Medium cooked request on steak became very well done and burned black on corners. Everything about Cracker Barrel I was accustomed to was not at this particular establishment.
We were in Baytown for the evening. We had a great meal and an even greater server named Drake. Food came out quickly, hot, and flavorful. Drake was very attentive and kind. Appreciated his conversation and interest in our day and orders. Will definitely be back when in the area!!
Horrible dining experienceMy catfish was under cooked and breaded on one side.My guests ham was under cooked and slimy. My other guests food was under cooked and had crispy pancakes. This place definitely need new management if they are hiring substandard cooks.Horrible, yuck!!!!
Country store, lots of parking, busy, but nicely-spaced out tables and seats. All the employees are well trained. They make eye contact, smile, are ready to answer any question and are friendly. For those from out of state like myself, this place feels like a little mini Disney theme park-like restaurant.Servings are very large and the food isnssboerunn
To go food order was correct and ready on time. Pick up to go food orders at the front check out counter. Get there early and shop in their old country store for great items. The staff and customers do practice social distancing. Great location for breakfast, lunch, and or dinner.
A few evenings ago I ate here withy family. We waited briefly for a table which is normal. Then we sat down and quickly ordered, my kids were hungry. We sat there for an HOUR waiting for food when the restaurant wasnt full and wasnt busy. We had to finally flag someone down to get them to find out waiter. Them our waiter wasnt even the person who came out to us. We told them we had sat there for an hour and that our kids were hungry and about to have a meltdown cause they were waiting for their food. A few minutes later our food came out like it was already back there just forgotten or something. one of my kids pancakes were sort of burnt and he refused to eat them we just eat quickly and left. Pretty disappointed with this visit.
Normally coming to CB is a treat. Quality was severly lacking. This is the first time we have ever had an issue with this location, which we frequent. Biscuits were over cooked, eggs super runny when hard was requested, all the meats were overcooked and I was given 2 tiny bits of bacon. We were given sour dough toast instead of French Toast. Parts of the meals came out at different times because of mistakes. Long wait time even though they werent near as busy as they normally are.
This place has always been good to me and my family. They where pretty busy this morning but only a 5 min wait witch gave me time to browse there little country store at the entrance of the restaurant. I have bought many unique gifts from here in the past. Food was great server was awesome and the prices where fair I recommend this location to anyone.
I went to Cracker Barrel and a server by the name of Lonnie Love served our table with the utmost respect, a smile and professionalism! Everything we asked for he did it with no hesitation and went above and beyond. Good customer service is hard to come by. Cracker Barrel should be proud to have this individual working for them. He will be the only reason that I will return to this particular location.
I had to delete my old review because it what I just experienced was not good at all. The service and the food were all wrong. Waited 15 minutes for the server to return to the table to ask for a refill. The food came out wrong and the server didnt even apologize or offer to make it right. She stared at us until we told her what to do. She substituted a side item without asking. She never returned to offer refills. The baby carrots were chewy and rubbery! The hamburger steak came out dry with no sauteed onions or gravy. Just a meat patty. Anyone can tell thats not how that is served. Then she quickly brought us the check without us asking for it when we just started eating and never returned to check on us again.
Waited 30 min after the time it was supposed to be ready.Received half of order mgmt said thats the only order they had.[1 meal 30.00 umm no.]Asked for order# and they said thats not correct showed email confirmation still argued with me. Showed copy of order from account and then they decided it was an easy fix.Long story short they fixed it but after speaking with three staff members and two managers. This was not ok not sure if Ill be back.
Normally we have good reviews but I almost went off. We sat at our table right after this couple. We gave our order with our drink order. They had 2 other couples sat ordered and got their food but we waited over 30 minutes. We had our grandson and he was hungry. That didnt make any sense. I guess we are NOT welcome.
The food is terrible! Tried it the first time and it was very disappointing but came back to see if maybe it was an off day or maybe a bad cook. Nope, still bad. Every single thing was just bland and overcooked. I got the grandma sampler: the ham was as small and thin as a playing card and looked like someone chewed on it and spit it out. The bacon was overly salty, and the sausage was hard. I really enjoy good food and Im not too hard to please but this was just awful. My family and I will not be returning.
Great way to start the day with the family! Love everything on the menu is a must try! I always get the Grandmas breakfast and feel like a kid again! (Until the bill comes lol) they have a store their full of awesome gift ideas. My only con: waiting in line for a table.
My mother loves their chicken and dumplings. So I order online for pickup at a certain time. They are never ready at that time. Today I placed order online for curbside at 11 Arrive early, clicked on Im here button in email. 11 comes around no food, 11:05 I call the phone number on sign for curbside pickup, listen to choices, choose 1 for curbside, nothing happens, the call continues in the same menu loop, select 1 two more times. Nothing. Went inside to pickup food, 11:15 by now, not ready. I wish a company would not advertise a service that clearly doesnt work. I always have trouble with online orders.
Believe the hype.....this is by far one of the best places for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Way to set the bar high & keep up the good work!!!Addendum: A special shout-out goes to Adolf Salazar (Supervisor) who listened, assessed the situation & valued my feedback. After our conversation; His willingness & professionalism (in good faith) really surprised me. Striving for nothing short of the very best; the customer service experience validates what true leadership, loyalty & integrity means. Thank you!!!😊😉🔥
Excellent service. The place was full but the waitress was very attentive. The food was very tasty. I had the Sunday Chicken Fried Chicken & there was enough for 2 meals. The three of us then split an apple dumpling. It was very flavorful without being overly sweet.Reasonable prices as well. The 3 of us ate for $40 + tip. We each had enough to take home for a second meal. The dessert was $5 and was big enough for us to share. The only caveat I can give about CB is that because they make everything fresh they can run out of popular items late in the day.
Ordered on line the order was wrong & there was some large hard black/brown pieces of who nos what in the mashed potatoes. No to mention that the mashed potatoes were hard as if they werent made right.. Called to speak with a manager & was told to eat what good & bring back the rest. What kind of nonsense is that.
It was a bad day to visit. It took 45 minutes to get our food and it was cold and not as good as in the past when we visited about once a month or more precovid. I was so disappointed by the staff and the atmosphere, but mostly the food. The dining room was clean but it felt over crowded and poorly staffed....edited... I tried to follow the directions for the follow-up as below, but the site kept telling me I didnt have the right something or another to enter my personal info, after carefully typing out the whole story. I tried 3 times and my husband tried once with the same results. It went nowhere.
DO not ever use this store for pick up. The website allows you to order and tells you when to pick up. You go to the store at that time and they tell you too bad, no pies are available and they wont be. Except they are cooking as fast as they can but cant guarantee to get one so they refund the money and you can come tomorrow and MAYBE get one as its first come first serve. But yet the website still lets you order themWorst customer service ever
I am disabled and use a walker. My wife was being seated but asked for a different table that would be better for me to get to and then stow my walker out of the way...pointed out a table that was empty. The woman was sharp and rude when telling her that this table was the best she would do. My wife sat down and before I got into tge dinning area a group of 3 that were younger and could do more came in and the lady sat them at the table My wife had pointed out.We left there with my wife saying some choice words to the woman...and will not go back to that location.
Good service but marginal food. Mac & Cheese was bland and the salad had wilting lettuce. Biscuit and cornbread was excellent. Waitresses passed by table several times and asked how everything was however never picked up empty glasses and plates. After a few refills and empty plates, the table got rather crowded. Would be nice if things got picked up when they were finished. Very nice employees.
Pretty good place for breakfast. Our server Pantera took very good care of us, as well as John. My daughter loves the Pecan Pancakes. I got the standard breakfast with eggs bacon and grits. Eggs were cooked right, over medium. Grits were not the tastiest but edible, they were on the runny and bland side. Bacon was good but super greasy, like more than Im used to seeing. The store itself is like any other Cracker Barrel youve been to nice and clean. The General Store in the front has all sorts of nick nacks, snacks, toys, and home goods.
Fairly disappointing, it was Friday night and 2 hours to closing and food seemed to have run out. No bacon, fried chicken, croutons and the weekend was just starting. Our food took long to come out, while others tables that came and ordered after us received their food. Some of the food was cold and the salad took the longest. Server appeared to be new, but seemed to have little to no assistance from her peers.
Food isnt as fresh or good as it was 3 years ago. They didnt think about where they sat my large family (plenty of space but right by a bunch of older people. This has happened more than once). The atmosphere is always nice and the store always has good options... but back to the food, not great. Im sure Dennys serves hotter and fresher plates
Food was very good with a nice selection, and place was clean inside and out. Staff wasnt as friendly as Im used to. Server wasnt very attentive, and it was slow not during the rush but not closing time either. Took about 5-10 mins to get a refill that we usually had to ask for. Two of us were drinking sweet tea, she wouldnt bring a pitcher of tea with her to see if we wanted refills instead shed come ask them have to go get it. But overall happy with our visit.
Waited 10 mins for a waitress to take our drink order. The table of manger by us sent someone to help us. She want and found a waitress for us. She then bought our drinks and we order appetizers. She bought the silverware out that was not washed. I took the silverware to the table were the mangers were sitting. I asked them if they would eat their food with then. They said no and he won’t let us eat with it either. Ok he waitress then bought new silverware and our appetizer to us. We ask for the ranch for them. She never came back. Then a manger came to talk to us and ask us if any one talked to us. We said no and told him what was all going on. The other manger took our waitress to go talk to us. So while out appetizers were getting cold because we were still waiting on the ranch to come out with it. We decided to leave. The manger said he would take care of the bill for us. A coke and a tea which I was still waiting on my sweet and low. I told him we didn’t eat it. He said he would take care of the bill. Thank you carker barrell for this experience on Mother’s Day. I call to talk to John the general manger and had to call 3 times. Finally I was told he left 30 mins ago.
We had gift cards to use up, so we gave it a try. After sitting in the to go spot trying to call for over 15 minutes to let them know I was there, I finally got through and they said the food wasnt ready. Then a few minutes later the manager came out and basically gave me a lecture for calling in the order instead of placing it online. Weird flex, but ok. So.... what do you want to me to do? She says shell bring it out, but I wont be able to tip bc its illegal for them to put a tip on my card with me not present? Um... what? I order to go meals often and have never heard that. Im paying with gift cards anyway so whatever. Waited like another 10 minutes (which is now at least 20 minutes later than they said the order would be ready) before they brought out my order. I understand to go food isnt gonna be the same as in the restaurant, but I live four minutes down the road and it wasnt even warm. Pretty sure the food sat for a good while before they bagged it up. They put the gravy all over everything instead of on the side so of course everything was soggy. It was also very bland except for the casserole, which was undercooked and somehow burned at the same time and so onion-y I couldnt eat it. The kids liked the Mac and cheese after I heated it up in the microwave. That was probably the star of the show. This experience just reminded me why I havent eaten at Cracker Barrell in years and probably wont again unless somebody pays me (sends another gift card.)

2021-09-24Ordered the country fried steak with over medium eggs and hash brown casserole and it was really good. Food was hot as well packed. Mrs. Sara up front was a pleasure to talk to. Hopefully I get another chance to stop by before leaving town.

2021-08-29The food was hot and fresh. The geeens were meaty. The reason it was not 5 star on this visit is because they didnt put enough food in the containers for the sides. They were halfway.

2022-06-22Just go to one of the many other restaurants around. Disappointment on a plate is what youre going to get. Rude waitress, check. Wrong, incomplete order, check. Confused untrained staff, check. We didnt even pay, manager had to eat a $40 ticket. Waitress touched glass around the top and was unable to do her job properly. She must be rich, because she doesnt need your money.Go to Texas Roadhouse down Garth Rd. Better food and good service. No cold meatloaf and dirty hands on your glass.Outback Steakhouse has great staff there as well. I question myself why we even went back after two previous flops here. Well, there wont be a fourth. Get it together or get people who can.

2022-03-15I love coming here to eat with my husband. The service is always great and the food is delicious. My go to is always the Sunday homestyle chicken and my husband usually goes for some breakfast. The service is pretty fast too. Ive ordered delivery from here too and the food quality is just as good.

2022-06-03We stopped ordering online for a while due to the food we didnt receive or them being out of something and not telling us till we opened the order and noticed they substituted it with something we didnt ask for. We just started ordering again. Last time it was fine. This time no gravy, no butter, no plastic ware. And now we must drive all the way back just for that. Cant have chicken fried steak without gravy. Really!!?? Then I stayed on phone for 10 min to hold. I finally hung up.

2022-03-15Went there recently and sat down. Store was a little unkept but it is what it is. They sat us at a table that had to cleaned because they forgot to do it. Menu had food leftovers in the menu and we gave it to the manager. We open our silverware and there is food stuck on most of our silverware. Literally baked on eggs on the forks. Waiter said please wait for the manager because they need to hear this because its not the first time. Manager said sorry give us another chance etc.

2022-06-11Everything was as expected and nothing was missing! I had the southern style chicken meal with green beans and mac and cheese...the sides were a little bland which is to be expected at these types of restaurants. I also had the turnip greens which were great and Im not a fan of turnip greens but theirs are good! I also had a order of free beignets but Im not a fan of them...tasted like fried biscuits with cinnamon and sugar on them!
