Friendly and knowledgeable staff, cant say they have great deals. Comparing prices to other locations I prefer Academy sports, they will even match prices. Rode our bikes out here to grab a deal on a new daily (m&p 2.0 w/laser) but was overpriced by +$200. They were asking $599 for something I got for $346. With a little negotiation they dropped to $499, they may have something cheap come across and advertise the snot out of that but the rest I cant say was fairly priced. 4 star is a stretch, closer to 3. Selection is not impressive either. Close to half of inventory was used and that seemed overpriced as well.

What an experience, drove almost 2 hours to get to the Crazy Gun Dealers shop. I walking up a ramp to the front door and rang a door bell, I heard “Come in” and the door unlocked. As soon as we walked in there was a big welcome. I only came to pick up 1 Gun, Which was ordered online. The people who work at this shop are very knowledgeable on what is being sold. They answered all my questions. We actually came home with two guns instead of one. I recommend them highly to first time buyer, you can’t go wrong with this dealer. Thank you JD

I can’t believe that this store exists. I have been to many stores big, small and hole in the walls. Despite the firearms I purchased from those establishments. I always walked away feeling a bit unsatisfied with my purchase. Kind of like having a steak dinner with no beer. From the moment I walked in to Crazy Gun Dealer (even though it was busy) I was greeted with a familiar face welcome. Great gun store!!! I have bought two (maybe three) guns from them now. This last purchase I was assisted by Lena. She was amazing, wonderful personality, and super fun. Their prices are lower than other gun prices. Their people are VERY nice and helpful in picking guns, and rifles, and holsters, etc. Their selection is quite grand. Walls or rifles and cases of guns. They also have ammo to buy. When you purchase a gun you get a safety course. You have the opportunity to go to one every few weeks. I will definitely buy another from them without question.

Biggest Disappointment of my life:THE 99$ GUNS:A waste of an entire day for a SCCY 9mm that is advertised at 99$ for 224.74$.THE LINE:10 HOURS waiting in a old annoying presence of the owner all day. Nothing is ever worth 10 hours of waiting. Especially not for something that is falsely advertised. Once your inside after the dreadful wait. You feel like you have no choice but to buy the worthless gun.THE OWNER:The rudest person I have met at a gun store. Claim no prejudice and to have honor in heritage and peace. He came in and yelled at all the employees that literally have no idea what they are charging for. And yelled at a few customers that left empty handed because the deals was not what they expected. Seriously have never been more disappointed in my life.

Decided to check the place out was we were near by. Prices are higher than other places but includes other things like free range fees and CL & CC classes. They had A LOT of guns in they show room.

There is a large discrepancy between the online prices and the instore prices. I am not knocking the people or the business, they seem like good folks. But if you find something you are interested in, you should call ahead and ask what the in store price is. That way you are not surprised when you get there. I get there is shipping and FFL fees, but to me the numbers werent adding up. The online prices seem to be competitive to what you will find at Academy or Bass Pro. But the instore is MUCH higher. I am not saying dont go here. What I am saying is do your homework before you commit the time and fuel to drive out there. That way you wont be surprised like I was.
This place is amazing with the best customer service I ever had. I drove over an hour to check it out and I was not dissapointed, very very impressed. I walked in told them what I wanted, showed me a few things, did paper work and was out in an hour. Lena was great help to she was very knowledgeable about anything and everything you have question about. HIGHLY recommend this place.
Not a first time buyer but I had a great experience shopping with Cindy, she was extremely helpful and nice! Stopped by hoping to find a good deal. Waited at the front door for 10 minutes before a customer let me in. Guess the door bell doesn’t work. Started looking at their rifles and noticed they seemed over priced. Then I asked a young skinny kid about 1911’s and he handed me a few. Took all he had to rack the slide back. So I figured it was just him being weak until I had trouble racking the slides back. So then I asked for prices on 3 different run of the mill pistols that I know their worth on a bad day. Each were 300-500 overpriced. So I chuckled and walked out. Going to buy me a Glock tomorrow from a much better store for under $500

These guys have ammo for every gun they sell, stocked on the shelf. They have plenty of people working so theres not much of a wait to see anybody for any of the times that Ive come. Weekend included.Customer service is outstanding. My first transaction was denied based on on some sort of mix-up at the FBI. it was a long process that took a lot of extra money and about an extra two and a half months, but they were understanding and communicative with me the entire time.I feel like if I was a gun store owner I might feel a bit more disincentivized to forgo the business of a potential felon or evildoer than to accommodate all the extra time and communication necessary to execute the sale.Definitely appreciated how they value the customer. Dont see any reason to go anywhere else. PLUS free LTC.

The salesman are very knowledgeable and they have a great selection of guns. But they are way overpriced, and the building is very run down no heat the day I went in and it was under 30 degrees. The owner is very rude, you can find better deals elsewhere even if you have to drive 50 miles. The advertising they do defiantly doesn’t match up to what you walk up and see...

Orginally has 5 star review, though after checking prices elsewhere I am pretty disappointed with how overpriced they were on multiple items.I’m all for supporting small businesses but when people are taken advantage of that’s when customers are lost. If I could give this place zero stars I would they are rip off artists not sure if they enjoy taking advantage of new gun enthusiasts! But 1200 for a rf-16 < Id did come with a cheap scope and laser but the gun is marked for 6 to 700 and does not make up for the cost after a little research > plus 400 for 300 rounds of .223 I am so ashamed I paid this price for this I will be doing a lot more research when I go anywhere but here again so I do not get raked over the coals.
First time gun buyer and was recommended the store buy a friend. Customer service was superb. Gaylord was a complete professional. I enjoyed my entire time at the store. I was pleasantly surprised that the gun I bought had great reviews and field tests. I was really disappointed that I paid almost double for what I could have bought it for at Academy. In the reviews I have learned they have price matching. Me getting taken advantage of was completely my fault for not doing my research and my lack of knowledge of what current prices are. Just do a quick internet search before you commit to buying.

Picked up my first gun today. Had an idea what I wanted but not very familiar with handguns I told Jake what I was looking for. He helped us when we bought our AR15. He explained the differences and how one was easier to do over the other. Jake is awesome! Definitely recommend these guys and ask for Jake! I like to support local gun stores and don’t mind paying $5 more for ammo but gouging is gouging. $79 for Blazer .45 when you can buy Federal at Academy for $32 or less right now is “crazy”. They live up to their name.

I visited the Crazy Gun Dealer just to see what they had not expecting much but was very pleasantly surprised at their selection. They had a very extensive selection of every fire arm under the sun. I purchased a 380 ruger lcp II model. I was surprised they even had one in stock. I would definitely check this place out if you are in the market for a fire arm.

Staff was friendly to the customers I will say, but 5.00 dollars a round for 6.5cm of basic fmj.. cmon fellas. Dont be a part of the 2A issues that are current today. Greedy would have been a positive compliment for this place.

They have such a huge selection with lots of options. Cheryl is who worked with us and she was so knowledgeable and very helpful. She was more than wonderful to work with and next time I come back in she is definitely the one to go to!

Not crazy at all. Very professional. They tell you what to expect online, over the phone and in person. I bought my Beretta 9mm online and I had to wait just over a week for it but the price was great. The people were very friendly and the process couldnt have gone smoother. I would recommend them to anyone.

Everything here was way over priced. A guy in front of me asked if he had 45 caliber ammo. The owner said yes but you dont want to pay my prices for it. The guy said well how much is it. The owner said well do you need it or want it? The guy once again asked a price and the owner said$99. That box of ammo is usually $25-$35I wanted to buy a HK VP9 pistol but he had it for $1,200. I went to a shop 30 mins away and paid $800 (both guns were new).Shame to see some gun shops doing this to their customers.

Stopped in today and they had guns for sale. Over priced and they do not have any heat. I could smell urine as well drifting in the building. Owner sure does not take care of the place. I will not be back. Crystal, Cheryl and Sergio are nice to work is the only plus side to my stopping into the store.
I have changed my review, I am all for supporting local businesses, but not at the cost prices of driving up the price over 50%...Bought a Hellcat for $870...Found same gun for $529 at various other local places, no returns on purchases...Shame on you for jacking up the prices and then promoting that you are cheaper than anyone around. After shopping all day yesterday and unable to find a handgun locally, we decided to drive out to Alvarado after speaking with Cheryl. She was so polite and patient with us as we tried out several handguns until we found the perfect one for my girlfriend. Great service, great prices, and great selection! I ordered 2 guns online and had them sent to this business. First time firearms owners so we were in the dark on the procedures. The woman who dealt with us was very rude. We had questions, but all we got were condescending, short answers. I received no paperwork of any kind, not even the receipt. Once again, Ive never dealt with anything firearms related, so I didnt know, still dont, how the process works, but after the snarky answers to our other questions I didnt bother asking anything else. After it was all said and done, we werent even asked if we wanted ammo, cases, anything, just hurry up & go. I guess after the treatment we received it was probably a good thing though, plus I found out through other sources their ammo is overpriced anyways.Ive found another gun dealer who was very helpful, didnt mind stupid questions, and will have my business from now on.

A $700 gun was selling for $1,150 at this store.Went in and talked to owner, ex cop and seems like a decent guy. All of his inventory is 25-40% higher than other shops. Selling boxes of ammo for 4x the normal amount. I know we are in an ammo shortage but most guns shops have a 20-30% increase, crazy gun dealer has 120-150% increase.He was bragging how he’s the only shop that has a lot of in stock inventory, but the reason is because his prices are so high. He told me that he knows his prices are high and then he tried to justify why he prices his guns so high.He showed me a new rifle that MSRP for $1,200 and he was wanting $1,800. I bought the same rifle later that day for $1,050 from a shop 40 mins away.I don’t see how he will stay in business if he continues these practices.
Jim and I went in yesterday, asking about a Sig P320. Gaylord was right on top of it, with a semi custom one that came in that morning. The price was right, so it was a done deal! He was very helpful, and knowledgeable. They have a great selection of ARs, pistols, shotguns, and more. They even had 9mm jhp ammo in stock! They are just a few minutes south of Fort Worth, just two minutes west of I-35, on Hwy 67. Go check them out!

Great selection in gun plenty ammo in stock, service with a smile and very very helpful, I most definitely will be coming back to buy more guns and ammo this is the only place to go for supplies to thumbs up and if I could give more stars I would very happy.
2 stars for good selection of firearms. Went in with my husband and they limited ammo to one box per family/group. No other places around have 9mm in stock so bought one 50 round box of blazer ammo for $30. Twice the price of normal ammo but we waited outside for 45 minutes and drove 30 minutes to get here so we felt we might as well buy it. The man behind the counter was rude and refused to acknowledge me, just my husband. They didn’t require masks in the store either although they posted the mandate outside. Will not return especially for the way I was treated in store and the insane prices of ammo and gun parts and accessories.
Cheryl was amazing in helping me. She was very knowledgeable about what’s in stock and if you need they will get it for you. Highly recommend going here!! Also it’s family owned, so please shop locally!!

The owner must.actually care about his stores reputation with customers by responding to these reviews.. #2. After the response info shared, I have no choice but to raise my rating from 3 to 4 stars.-------‐------------------------------I made the drive from Arlington to check the Gun Crazy Dealer out. The radio marketing ad had me pretty excited. I guess I allowed my expectations to get out of hand. On arrival I was concerned that the store was smaller than I expected. The fact that the parking lot was gravel wasnt a deal breaker but not what I expected. I must say that the staff behind the counter immediately gave me a warm welcome and were very personable and knowledgeable.The inside of the store was much smaller than expected. That being said, they made very good use of every square inch. A long glass display of new & used pistols with 3 or 4 rows inside. The pistols had tags attached for identification & price. The ID tags were very hard to read and many were not readable as they were flipped over.Rifles were hung on the wall 4 and 5 high. Seemed to be a good variety of firearms. I asked one of the staff if they had anything on sale and he said there wasnt anything at the moment but he thought maybe they were having a sale in the future. Hmmmmmmm??The store seems to focus heavily on AR type setups. Got the feeling that if I were to ask for a High Point carbine, they would tell me they dont allow Hi Points in their store. Thats just a guess on my part. I did check the price on a common shotgun I am thinking about buying and the price was not competitive. It was about $100 overpriced. The FFL transfer fee of $49 is not competitive pricing from my experience. There may be some excellent deals that are offered but I didnt hang around to find out.I did not check out the range. Not a bad gun store.

Excellen place to buy a gun! 1st time buyer of any gun. I dont remember his name but hes Army Veteran with tattoos on his arm (which were cool). The Army Veteran did an excellent job explaining the AR-15s. Easy to talk to. Down to earth. No BS.
Wow! What a scam! Drove all the way from Dallas to check it out with intentions of purchasing at least 2 firearms. Called first and they would NOT provide any pricing whatsoever. So wife and I made the trip. What a mistake. The ARs with lowest pricing around were over $1400, all 400 of them. The sales person was sort of friendly but obviously didnt seem to care about selling anything. I asked to negotiate and was told simply no. I stated they were twice the price of many other places and was told yep, you can go there WOW Their radio ad says they will beat anyones like price... Yeah, bull***t! Refused to even accept an offer from another store. Ok, tried handguns....Nope dont have any of the popular models and zero, ZERO Glocks. What gun store doesnt carry Glocks? Dont waste your time, false advertising! No super deals available....SCAM Im really so disappointed.

We hear their radio ads all the time, and finally decided to make the 50 mile drive down to check them out on my birthday. Their shop was busy, but everyone was so friendly, and we didnt have to wait long for help. I dont have much experience with handguns, and was looking for a good carry pistol. Charles literally spent an hour to an hour and a half walking me through several options, pros and cons, and personal preferences. In the end, I got a great deal on a new gun, holster, and ammo. Everyone in the shop seemed extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and customer service is clearly a priority. I will definitely be back, and am a customer for life.

2022-06-01Scam artists. Rope you in by saying they will match their online price, then you drive out of your way and they jack the price up. Then give you some inflated “tag price” to show you what a “great deal” you are getting from them. Rather give my money to a big box store.EDIT: I understand that there is a difference. Fact of the matter is the employee I spoke to ON THE PHONE said that they would match the online price. I even re asked the question multiple times to make sure. I understand you have a business to run and that you can only do so much, but maybe you should have your employees check with you before telling people on the phone a price that can’t be hit.
