CSL Plasma in other cities:
Everyone was very nice....a little slow at this location, but nice. I think the lady named Jasmine could use some service training. She was walking around with an attitude and wasnt doin anything so I asked if she could unhook me and she pointed at another lady and said shes unhooking here and walked off! Not to mention 2 minutes later she began unhooked the man to the left of me. Just rude.
The supervisor Faten was rude and embarrassed me in front of everyone. The nurse gave me a pass and it looked like it expired October 27 she said it was a 24 and in a loud voice moved me to the end of the line. As a new donor I will be seeking another company once again.
Been here twice the staff is beyond mind numbingly stupid and cant figure anything out , failure of communication is common. Would not let me donate because I was 2 points over on iron. Wasted my time and money both times because I took a Lyft to get here . Good way to not have someone donate ever.
I really enjoy coming here and donating plasma. The staff is very helpful. The lady named Feryal is the most friendliest and really makes you feel comfortable. She is very kind and always double checks her work. She goes above and beyond and is a great asset to the CSL Plasma Team.
I saw one person not changing her gloves after removing bio hazardous products from a donor then moving on to set up another donor .She’s lucky she didn’t come near me because I would have given her an ear full!Speak up and keep your eyes open whenever any kind of procedure is being done on you and other people!
Awesome place to come and donate no long lines for kiosks or no long lines for vital checks… Feryal is the awesome most best person that can stick you when it’s time to donate!!! She is very courteous and polite and takes her time and most of all she makes sure you’re ok!! Keep up the good work Feryal
I never had any problems with the staff or facility until today. One of the employees Dee, is unprofessional on the floor. He’s too busy flirting and talking to whom ever getting distracted. I’m allergic to iodine which he almost put on me, he didn’t listen to Laura, the lead and didn’t set my machine up correctly. I got on a bed at 8.09 it took him to 8:20 to do everything. He’s too busy not pay attention and talking about pizza. This isn’t the first time he’s been incompetent! He’s has too many complaints from several donors.
For everyone on here unsatisfied with CSL I implore you to come and donate at Octapharma. Its cleaner, quicker and more professional. I use to come to this CSL location for years but in 2017 I stopped and never returned. After waiting in line for over an hour for a bed myself and an incredibly rude ahole went to the available beds. I was before him in line and when they went to stick me he lied and said he was first. He threw a fit until the phlebotomist gave into his tantrum. I immediately left without donating because of how unprofessional it is to allow someone who was being loud and nasty to lie and throw a fit while the other donors who waited quietly get skipped over. Just skip a week and come to Octa
I donate Plasma all over the country when I travel.....This place here is by far the slowest working employees in the city. No structure, no sense of urgency at all. Lots of stupid little gatherings looking like lost football players in the field instead of actually working. They dont have the best stickers either, you can expect to get a needle moved around in your arm at least twice.
I have been donating at this location for months. The techs are friendly and efficient, however the front staff who check your vitals are different story. The kiosks never work for me. I was told on my previous visit not to worry with the kiosks, but write down my SS# on a slip of paper and they would take care of it. Yesterday, I came in and same problem with the kiosks. The lady pulls up my last visit, and I had to see the doc in the back first. She says, Do that and return to the kiosks. I had already told her the kiosks werent working for me. Im cleared by the doc and I stand at the kiosk for 30 minutes trying to get the thing to work. I got frustrated and left. I probably wont be back. I tried leaving a message on the website and it doesnt even have this center listed.
I gave plasma twice a week for 2 years in Arizona with no issues. I was part of the Anti D program also.I moved to Texas came to this donation center to start donating after 7 months of not donating. The lady at the counter wanted to see my veins before we even started the process of changing to this center and she said no I could not donate. Because veins change... And they didnt see a vein they could take plasma from....There loss. I went to BPL and am now currently a donor for them. With no so called vein issues....
Came here last month for the first time ever. All of the staff that I interacted with from front to back were friendly and personable. The nurse was amazing! I came in on a weekday at about 3 pm as a new donor and had to inprocess and it only took about 3 hours, it was packed when I left. Viola, Russell, Joe, Jesse are some names that I can remember being so new wish I could remember more, of the exceptional staff. Thank you ALL for making this experience comfortable and the environment the same.
Been going there for about 3 years and can’t complain. They recently hired a few people and again they are polite and kind as well especially a short new girl I think her name is blanca if I’m not mistaken but she’s very attentive and fast! I was watching this young lady move from donor to donor disconnecting them all while making small talk. Please give this young lady recognition for being new she’s quite good. Laura Ryan Kim , all my favorite ppl
September 27, 2019 visit. I received great service from Laura the group leader. i have a request on the left arm that she was happy to accommodate to save me from discomfort. she was fast, and polite while talking with me as well. i liked her. ill continue to come here.
Been coming over the years and Ive had great experiences. You just gotta understand that its a very busy place. So if you go in with impatience from the moment you enter and a selfish attitude your gonna be all in a negative state of mind. Jesus loves yall, dont trip, and just show love for their hard work.
Been coming here for years. The staff is pretty cool and down to earth, not all uppity and stuck up. Sure, sometimes the lines do get long, but come-on, Folks...If you pass by a restaurant and see a long line wouldnt that make you think that their food is A-1 & service top-notch?
So Ive been coming to this location for the past two to three weeks . As far as I am concerned this is the only location in my book. there are so many great techs and I had zero problems since Ive been there compared to the other locations. Great staff and traffic through the center not bad at all. Of course Im speaking as a previous donor so new timers experience may be different
Been going for years to CSL plasma had a bad experience the other day while donating. Supposedly someone didn’t setup the machine right, lost a lot of blood and got deferred for 2 months. For a mistake that had nothing to do with me, I’m going to take it as a sign to move on and find something different.
The new nurse is way slower then the original nurses iv been here for almost 30 mins waiting for here and Im a returning doner not even a new doner and on top of that she gave every one attitude about going to the restroom wen nobody even said anything to her so disappointed on the wait and time shes taking
Friday June 21 right before 8am, looks like they are short handed I get it. It happens. But short lady, with bangs and glasses just standing on donation floor directing traffic. She she be setting up machines. That would help her coworkers service donors faster. She just stands around and points while others work tail off. Management should look at this and place labor where needed.
Do not waste your time with these people. They are slow, disrespectful, and have very poor judgement. I went in, waited for hours, and finally when my screen is about to begin; The nurse administering my physical saw a single (healed) cut on my arm, called in another nurse, and sent me away saying that there is a risk I am an addict... Not only that, but she chuckled as if she did not believe me as I tried to explain the mark on my arm. I work in a warehouse where my arms and hands are constantly cut by boxes and wood, and I attend a private university that DRUG TESTS their students RANDOMLY. So I was not only offended by the accusation of being a drug addict, but also from the fact that the staff honestly thought that I would be dim-witted enough to attempt to give plasma with a track mark on my arm.. Like I said, do not waste your time with these people. Go to another center, I promise you it will be worth your while choosing not to come to this shitty facility. And the restroom smelt like a daycare that hasnt been cleaned in months, and was extremely unsanitary. The patients they serve are definitely NOT top priority as they should be. They are careless people
I hate going here.. It is ALWAYS a waste of time, more than it is helpful. The staff is a toss up, every time. Some days they are friendly, and other days you can physically hear them arguing WITH EACH OTHER. Mainly, over their breaks and lunches. Smh. Just unprofessional. Ive also noticed, the payout never changes, I always leave with the same amount. Which doesnt make sense to me, seeing that I weigh in at 245lbs, every time. Just doesnt seem right???
I come to this place on and off and Im from out of town. So far the times I have came the staff front and back have been respectful and nice just as long you respect them and the place duh! Also if you experience any bruising its because they accidentally poke you wrong. Which has happened not just to you. Request someone elses instead next time some people are new or dont mean too. Nobody is perfect so dont expect perfection all the time. Im pretty sure they dont mean to harm anyone if not make a complain simple as that
The waits are out of control. They are significantly understaffed pretty regularly and youll end up waiting at least 45min-1.5hours (in the first line for the regular health checkup) and then another 30-45min to be placed in a chair on the donor floor. New donors get to cut in front of the line which makes it impossible for the line to keep moving. Also, you may or may not have a crazy man singing to his music for an hour behind you in line.90min is a gross understatement 😆(maybe theyre just understaffed today)
I advise everyone to stay away from this place. They hire new people who arent trained and those who are dont know what theyre doing. Ive been denied for stupid reasons. You can have no tattoos, pulse good, blood pressure good, temp good, etc and you can still get denied. They dont even deserve a star to begin with. Go to bio test or some other place but not here
Waited for hours before they told me I had an unapporoved piercing. I paid well to get that done by a professional and its been years since its healed. Ignorance would have been bliss if i wasnt so honest with them. but apparently having piercings like those deem me promiscuous and more likely to have a sexual disease or some b.s. They have since then revised the policy on tattoos and piercings but whether it includes those piercings, it wasnt specific. the lines are stupid long, get there early
Employees were fast paced, but thats expected when you have such a busy and constantly moving business. As long as you follow instructions its easy. for you. They dont clean the chairs after each use, so I suggest wearing layered clothing and bringing a clorox wipe for the shoulder rest where they draw the plasma.
Don’t waste time at this facility. I’ve donated at many other CSL’s and have never had an experience like every one I’ve had here. For three months they have been telling me I can’t donate because of an upper respiratory infection and for three months my doctor has been looking at me like I’m stupid. Every time I tell him what they say is wrong he checks me and says it’s not then asks what it has to do with my blood. It’s always something that isn’t contracted from blood. I’ve spent more money on doctor visits than I’ve actually made here. I recommend octopharma to anyone who wants excellent treatment and services and for the basic quality any other CSL
Depending on what day you go its fairly good imean no the staff isnt always as friendly as they could be but you have to understand that they do their job day in an day out so its normal to have a bad day every now an again. An some of the workers try an make the experience as injoyable as possible an there are those selected few who its just a paycheck to pay bills your gonna get that where ever you go over all ive been coming here on an off for the last 4 years an I dont really have any complaints.
I donated 20 yrs ago. Went to try again recently. They didnt even try bcz they said my veins were too small. I donated for an entire year back then. Same veins. Very disappointed. Think some of these girls just arent comfortable poking someone like me. Others dont seem to have a problem getting my veins. 😕
Had my first real issue today w/staff. Today I was having some bad anxiety that I don’t normally have and I was trembling a bit . I cried a bit because instead of asking me what’s wrong I was laughed at looked at like a druggy by the staff along w/comments. This was extremely embarrassing , when reported I was treated as if I was making it up. Not everyone who comes to csl is a broke addict. Well I’m Broke for sure lol other then that I’ve had no other issue . Decent place , today just wasn’t cool all at.
Compared to donating plasma n Austin, it not great but not sure its the worse n San Antonio. I started donating last year, I did expect the first time to be a few hours because I was a new donor but I didnt expect it to take hours every time I go. My typical donation n Austin would take about 45 min, thats including the everyday screening. Also we would get text messages everyday about promotions to get extra money. There was no VIP there to skip you n line, my time was always respected, also for the little time we had to wait we we able to sit and wait instead of having to stand the whole time and possibley running blood pressure by the time u get to someone
Out of the 5 times Ive been here I havent had a problem until today. So I donated plasma this morning. I spend 8$ on gas. When I tried to withdraw 20$ of the ATM I only had 15$ left ! I thought I was suppose to get 60 or 75$.I called CSL plasma center and told them about my situation. All they did is put me on hold for about half an hour. I guess they were hoping Ill hang up. Its embarrassing enough to donate plasma. Not getting the full amount is even worse. If you donate please make sure they give you the full amount so you wont have to go through the same thing I did.
Always supper busy. Very broken system. Only 4 kiosks machines & one is usually down. You’re literally waiting & standing in line for about 20 mins to get your vitals then you stand in line for another 15 mins to actually get poked. Old machines, they don’t wipe down the chair after a person had been sitting there. I wouldn’t recommend tbh
This place is ghetto!First off, the woman in the headscarf was extremely rude. Im not sure if shes on a powertrip and gets off on being condescending/talking to people crazy but Im not the one. Im not a kid, Im not your kid. Dont yell at me across the lobby. The person who took my vitals was unprofessional. Cussing in front of me, having conversations with the other techs the entire time. Youre here to do a job, not have social hour. He didnt even read the agreement he should be reading at the end, justtold me to sign.I do not usually come to this center. I just to have errands to run on this side of town.. I recommend 100% the center on Nacogdoches where I usually go. This place sucks .
Im sorry but I tried giving them the benefit of the doubt. The bowl broke on me when I donated in Feb. So they couldnt return my red blood cells. I had to wait 8 wks to go back but I waited longer. So yesterday July 13th I decided to try them again. Talk about a nightmare. The muslim girl trying to stick the needle in my very easy popped out vein...COULD NOT GET IT RIGHT. She wiggled the needle So much it hurt! I had to let out a scream. She did such a terrible job and put the cuff so tight I ended up passing out. I was well rested, ate and I drink lots of water everday. THERE WAS NO EXCUSE FOR THIS!!!👎👎👎👎👎
Policies continually change, I am a willing donor fully able and was turned away because it wasn’t “my day”. Medically I am fully able and followed the instructions from the phlebotomist on the floor and came back when they told me to. I donate because my wife is a nurse studying plasma for COVID. CLS plasma will never see me as a donor again and I will tell everyone to find another donor site and avoid CSL Plasma.
The wait time on the phone is hitting 15 mins. I called to ask a simple question and Im still on hold like I would be calling the DMV.There is a couple people that I believe shouldnt be inserting the needle. I have had the needle shoved all the way in to the point the white part was toucning my arm. I was there for 2 hours, the whole time in pain. They are not organized lime they should be. More rooms are closed while they stand around and talk. They dont make it clear as to which room is open.So be careful where you go to have this done. I do t wish any pain or anything like I went through onto someone else.
I give this place a 3 because most of the staff are rude. . and have no manners . and always give you weird and ugly looks. I cant say that about other staff members such as joe,the older man thays a nurse in the back and a few others .. They are great . as far as donor process pretty quick and easy. Another issue i have is every single time i get poked i end up with a big bruise !! And it hurts too.the only person that has yet to bruise me is joe . the one day i had him to poke me i did not get a bruise other times when its someone else i get bruised. Thanks joe! !!
About a month ago I had called them to verify if I was a new donor or not because I had no idea. A staff told me on the 12th of June I will be a new donor. I arrived on the 14th of June to donate as a new donor, filed all of the applications as a new donor asked the staff if I was a new donor they told me yes. So I finished donating my plasma, and then was told I’m not a new donor after the staff had all my information on the computer and allegedly lied to me about being a new donor. Then told me if they pay me as a new donor that I’m not allowed to return to that area, I asked if that applies to every other csl the manager told me no. I then reply ok. She did not note anything about her bribe she offered me how if they pay me as a new donor that I’m not allowed over there or I just except false statements about me being a new donor that they allegedly informed me that I was a new donor When I walked inside of the building and take the original offer and will be able to return within a couple days. I then find out that she claimed that I was deferred because of my behavior and that I had headphones on and was talking to my iPhone. I was lied to and Bribed by this facility and target. This facility Discriminates against Africa Americans, poor customer service.
If you are desperate and dont mind being treated like something they stepped in this is the place for you. They are disgusting human beings they believe everyone there is just a crackhead trying to make a few dollars! On my first attempt to donate the office staff made fun of my reading. When I informed them I had a diagnosed disability and they were not allowed to do that! I was permanently deferred!
Absolutely the worst plasma center in San Antonio - for too many reasons to list.....Constant deferrals, rude staff (not all of them), took out the tvs, primitive machines that get clogged and stopped regularly - just a straight up pain in the rear even trying to donate there..
They are super slow here. This is the worst csl in the city. Be prepared to stand for 2 hours before you even get to donate. Also one of the workers literally stuck me while not even looking at my arm and of course she missed. Will not be coming back nor do I suggest anyone coming to this csl
My first day here I was turned away because the lady assumed I was homeless and kept asking questions that ran in circles so i hd to answer the same questions about my living situation over and over. Now i am here today and they claim to open at 6am and its 6:41am right now and we are all waiting outside.
Joey is the biggest a$$ try get assistant because the machine is making weird sounds sounds and in 30 min not a drop went in my bottle and he comes over acting rude snotty just being a dick treat you like your a bum and dont care about any of the donors Rip off! first 5 times you get 50 nice ya but after that you only get 20 then 40 when they almost get 1000 dollars a bottle and they are slow rude and it take over 3 and a half hours just to donate rip off rip off rip off forget saving a life save your time all they care about is them self dont use Patty Silvia or Joey he is the biggest a$s of them all
It is give or take mostly based on how long the wait is. Some of their employees are just rude and do not deserve to have a job in any type of customer service industy. THEY DO NOT WIPE DOWN BEDS AFTER EACH DONATION. I asked one employee if they could wipe the bed down due to it being covered in iodine as well as other things and he acted like I asked him to defy physics. Then when I stated that it is disgusting that they dont wipe down the beds with how many diseases there are these days both blood and skin related he laughed at me. I confronted him and said what the safty of the idividuals donating is funny to you which he was quick to say no uour attitude. The one he created. This center is a disgrace to all CSL Plasma Centers.
You wait for 2 hours just so they can check your vitals to make sure your okay to donate and then it’s a bout an hour to donate... then it takes them another 20 minutes to come take out the needle so u can go home... I went to OCTAPHARMA PLASMA so I can get away from that place and I Am in and out in an hour.. they always have a lot of staff in there and they take you in real quick.. very professional and fast... why all these people don’t go over there is beyond me but if you read this don’t waste your time waiting half a day just to donate which is only supposed to take an hour...
I worked here and dear lord this place is so gross and unorganized lets not mention how most of them are NOT certified phlebotomist!! They will hire literally anyone. They left my bf a hematoma the worst I have EVER seen and did not document it. They make loads of $ off of one bottle of plasma that they pay u 15-20$ for. Shoot most of them dont even change their gloves. They are very unprofessional worst plasma center EVER they are very very sketchy and cannot keep management. Most people donating are on drugs but are still allowed to donate. The nurses are jokes, they hide most of the time and act like they know what they are doing.
I had only been to Marbach location before which I am very pleased with. I live closer to the Fredericksburg location but never had been there before. I had the worst experiance at Fredericksburg location today with The SR Phlebotomist Joe, and older gentlemen. He applied the iodine to my arm where my vein was visable above a tattoo Ive had for years. I looked away as he was attempting to poke me, I looked back at the area cause it was popping. And Joe was poking my arm above the area of my vein fishing where there was no vein!! I told him to discontinue and take it out cause it was making a popping noise and was hurting. He then wanted to do the other arm, which I was uncomfortable with since he had already hurt and messed up the other arm. He then began asking if Id ever donated before, which I have numerous times at the Marbach location. I told him this was my first and last time donating at Fredericksburg location due to the improfessionalism. He then went to the front desk where a friend of mine was standing and over heard him talking bad about me, lying saying my tattoo was much too large to even allow me to donate, which I have confirmed before the tattoos were not an issue at all. He then began to say I was lying about donating at Marbach location cause I had no marks. I didnt have any marks or bruises since I havent donated in a month. He came back to tell me I was no longer welcomed to donate at the Fredericksburg location, after I stated twice I would never go back to the location that Joe the sr phlebotomist works in due to hurting me, then talking bad about me and making accusations that I do not appreciate. Be wise and do not goto this location, Marbach is usually packed and this is probably why.
A new donor, went in for first time and waited from 1pm till 3:30pm and got called. 2nd visit walked in at 8:30AM and no one had started since 7AM when opened because no nurse was on the floor. All donors were asking questions and the employees could not give anyone any answeres all they were saying was We dont know so donors started leaving.
Having been to 3 different plasma donation centers this is my first, and the worst! this is the only plasma center where Ive seen someone spill plasma, and it even got on me!Staff are unprofessional.I rate them 2 stars because they, at the least, stick to the basic regulations.Having been to other donation centers I confer that my experience does not impact my overall opinion of all CSL plasma centers.
This center is coo...ive been saving lifes for yrs now lol...n seen staff come n go ..Young and older , happy and rude...but always helpin someone out...Maggie is ok,...she really should wear those glasses shes been forgetting to wear while at work..Lol jk.jk Maggie...is coo, friendly , n has a good personality for herself n others...👍👍😁 keep up the good work
I started in December and Ive donated at other locations and this place is by far the best place ever the employees are awesome my wait the first time was long about 4 hours but thats to be expected I was a new donor you just need to have a little patients Ive never had any problem with any of the staff they are all pretty awesome Ive read alot of reviews on here about how disrespectful and how awful their visit was and I dont know what their problem is but people need to grow up just because they dont treat you like royalty you want to bash them well I say get a life and get over it.
Ive been donating for a while now and honestly i can say CSL by Far is the best. Ive been with Biotest and other plasma centers in San Antonio texas. And no other center made me feel more welcomed than csl. Ive been with then for 3 years and expect to go much more so if your seeking a dependable plasma CENTER i highly recommend csl plasma on 3655 Fredericksburg.😎😎😎
I HAVE BEEN A DONER THROUGH THE CSL PLASMA CENTERS SINCE 2015 BUT THIS EXPERIENCE AT THIS LOCATION HAS BEEN ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE I WILL NEVER RETURN TO A CSL PLASMA CENTER IN SAN ANTONIO AGAIN I AM SO DISAPPOINTED IN THIS LOCATION AND THE RUDENESS FROM THE LADY SUPERVISOR THIS IS THE LAST COMPANY I THOUGHT I WOULD EVER HAVE TO DEAL WITH SOMETHING LIKE THIS!!!
The only reason I come here cuz its so close to home....theyre under staffed...and I notice sometimes the staff in front just walk around & bullshit & ridiculously slow....I have heard them complain about their jobs when I think they have it easy when theyre other people that work outside doing hard work....and then all this drama with donors being stupid & complaining about one thing or the other & get all crazy..those people should just be deferred for being crybaby idiots

2022-07-01Caroline is really 👍👍I want to ask for her for now on. She was gentle yet accurate and my vein is difficult but shot helped me. It didnt hurt when she pricked me. It was second time. Shes so nice. 🔥 Maria carrion

2022-05-03The staff were running into my arm as they were stocking The drawers on 05/01 The staff were throwing the rolls of sterilized bandage over me to stock the drawers, and laughing. It was completely unprofessional. The RNs I have encountered have been completely professional. Everyone deserves respect both donors and employees. Professional behavior should be expected in every employment situation regardless of the pay grade. I was passed over three times until. I said that I was here before the person they were going to help. My worst two donation experiences by far.

2022-09-07Round of applause for CSL Fredericksburg Staff and Management excellent job. Theyre extremely busy and extremely seems like an understatement actually. Both lines were extremely long and they actually moved quickly. The staff works hard and works together very impressive!! Lots of ppl complaining about wait time but honestly the staff handles the long nonstop lines very promptly. So just a shout out to the staff at CSL Fredericksburg great job !!!!!! 👏

2022-04-14Feryal is AMAZING. Everytime I come I look for her because I enjoy our pleasant chats and when she sticks me I dont feel a thing. She is so sweet. The staff there is amazing. I have no complaints at all. I never donated before until I came here over a year ago. Best choice for extra spending money and to help others at the same time.

2022-08-19I have been donating here for several weeks without a problem, but today the nurses noticed a tattoo I got back in November of 2021 and accused me of getting it touched up and lying on my medical form. Tattoos darken as they heal. I now have a 4 month deferral because a nurse who apparently knows nothing about tattoos wont take dated photographs as proof of when I got the tattoo done.

2022-09-06Im constantly having issues with this center. Ive donated here for over 5 years and i took a break for a few months due to conflicting schedules. I tried going back today and the phlebotomist said she couldnt find my vein in either arm. Ive done over 1000 donations and I have worked as a phlebotomist at another center. I drank plenty of water that day so I know my veins are fine. Even the medical staff who was processing me said he felt it but he wasnt qualified to make the call.

2022-07-27People who say the staff are being short with them don’t account for the line of people. They’re working hard and have A LOT of people to attend to. I’ve been twice and had positive experiences both times

2022-07-21They have a long line and spend more time talking to each other and get mad when people sit at the chairs well waiting and this Asian guy just poked me and walked away without checking to see if I was okay had to have someone else adjust the needle
