CSL Plasma in other cities:
I have tried giving this location many, many, MANY chances and unfortunately keep leaving the facility disappointed. The front staff is very unprofessional--I once had a man take my vitals while actively complaining to me about how much he didnt want to be there...to the extent of planning on getting drunk on his lunch break just so he could get through the day (he also mentioned this was not the first time he has done this). The lines are incredibly long pretty much no matter when you go, and the location is so understaffed that I truly dont know how they even open. I have spent 2+ hours waiting in lines just to get to the last line to actually donate, and there is not even a polite awknowledgement from anyone there. The restrooms are almost always deplorable. On my most recent visit, I was put in the waiting room to relax after a slightly high pulse reading, where I was stuck with a man who was screaming at the top of his lungs to someone on the phone while making threats to them and vaguely about the people around him. When I was finally pulled back I expressed my concern that my pulse would not change because of how stressful the environment inside was, and I was dismissed--even after my pulse raised significantly. Better luck tomorrow was the best the staff could offer me after having waited nearly 2 hours just to get vitals completed. I will not be returning to this location, and frankly probably wont return to CSL Plasma either. The only positive thing I can say about any of my experiences are that the back staff are generally polite.
This plasma center is ridiculously under staffed I go and theres only 1 person up front checking vitals and 2 ppl sticking in the back cant they move some employees from other centers too evn it out , this plasma center needs help !!! Not to mention the long lines are horrible Ive waited close to 4.5 hours . Today I went and it was completely closed. Due to plumbing issues. I really would like too just donate at my local Csl plasma center instead of driving all the way across town too fredrisgburg location . Whole point of me going is gas money etc, GET IT TOGETHER CSL AND HELP YOUR CENTERS !!!!!!
This place is extremely terrible its only the front staff that are very disrespectful and rude all they do is talk to each other and they dont care how long the line is to check vitals even tho there is no line to go to the back they still dont care even every body still in the same spot in line for over an hour they dont care all they care about is talking to each other just trying to pass time instead of actually doing there job. Its just the employees in the front that are very disrespectful. They call one person to check vitals and then they go back to talking to each other and on top of that they only have one person checking vitals sometimes theres two but this is an every day thing. Its time I go to another location because this place is just getting worse and worse everyday. if you have to go out of your way to go to a different location I can say it is more than worth it. this csl location is by far worst csl I have gone to. I give this place half a star.
Havent been to this location in a few years and wanted to give them another chance because this location was HORRENDOUS the last time I donated.. and to my surprise, I wasnt surprised 😕The staff is super inconsiderate of the donators time. Ive been in some long lines and dealt with longer than usual wait times.. but 40 minutes in the same spot in line (for initial vitals) and no explanation is unfair to those of us waiting. Im disappointed in CSL for allowing this location to operate with such a small staff..
All the employees are rude they are very unprofessional they do not wear their masks. The facility is filthy the bathrooms are gross. There is no management to be found I asked repeatedly for manager they told me that they were not there. I was also told there is not a nurse on duty so something was to happen to me that needed a nurse they would have to call an ambulance. So I warn you do not go there I was repeat donor donated a few times will not go back. There are other plasma centers out there. Because of the service at this location and how filthy it is CSL plasma in my book is a zero. 👎👎
Usually The Staff Are Friendly But Today Its Practically No One In Here & The Staff Are Moving Slow. Ive Been Sitting In The Donating Chair For 10 Mins & Not Even A Set Up Yet. I Dont Know If A Lot Of Employees Got Fired Or Called In But I Can In Enough Time As Recommend, But Now Im Late
The staff has been professional and attentive, i have no problems with them. However though the only problem i do have is with your security officer there ( i do have a compliant ). About that person that needs to be fixed.A few days ago my daughter and I where outside on the Dollar tree side waiting for my wife to complete her donation. And she came outside ( abandoning ) her post to let us know that we could not be there and we had to move. We where NOT soliciting or doing anything wrong. She was strictly hassling us giving us a hard time. Now THIS is not the first time she has done this to me, this is the fourth time she has done this. I was even polite when i explained to her we where on the Dollar Tree side. She still said i can see you and it was not the dollar tree side. I have been a client of you all for quite some time.I KNOW she is contracted with G4S security. And I can speak with that company as well to. I want something done about this employee. Because if she does not change her ways, she is going to drive YOUR customers away. The Location im talking about is the South New Braunsfels and Fair Ave. I give this place 2 stars and it is only because of the security officer you have there.Today I went there on my Donation day like was said and when I got there they would not let me Donate, just because I Donated somewhere else and that was on Saturday. On. Wednesday few days ago CSL let me Donate. They need to be more Organized and they are not they all need to be on the same page and there not. I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND COMING HERE. They say they care and they dont
Yes this is a very clean and friendly place. Of couse, They need more staff because its growing. But the staff that is there now are very good at what they do. Caring , understanding , and kind. Just like a restaurant or hair salon, there maybe times you have to wait your turn. But, once its your turn the staff will even say let us know if you need anything. A++ Customer service. Being my first time, a nurse even stopped and showed me how to use my card to check my balance. They all waved and said goodbye and come back soon. If your cold natured, were more close. The temperature has to be cooler to keep germs and bacteria from growing just like a hospital. I love it there. I am sure they will hire more loving and caring staff, but that takes time. Be patient and kind to them and they will do the same. ***Please remember your not their only guest.
I went on the 18 of Feb my experience was great very friendly. I have donated in the past at a different location and was kinda procrastinating on going back with past experience but this was not bad at all! I might add the doc on duty David was very nice and helpful not just rushing thru but actually cared and seemed to love his job not something you see every day ! keep up the great work
I do think people only give this location good reviews because its the only CSL plasma theyve ever been to. I have been to multiple and I can say that this one is the worst. The staff seems to work with a lack of sense of urgency which makes the wait extremely long here. I have had many more people in front of me (line wise) at other locations but for some reason this location always takes the longest. The body language is of a staff that either believes that they are underpaid ,overworked, or just no motivation to improve their work efficiency. This is the only location that Ive walked out from multiple times because of a line that just never seemed to be moving and after another bad experience I can say that this is the last time I will be coming here, despite it being closer to my new home.
Forewarning anyone who goes here will be treated like lab animals with no rights! I went 4 times and when i almost passed out on one donation I was told it was my fault. I even referred my fiance here because we were both supposed to get a referral bonus and he went 3 times! Each time speaking to them about it to them it was like talking to a wall. They are uneducated and not friendly one bit. Theses people dont even stick in a needle right!!! No wonder why I passed out!! I got 😷 sick and i was looked at not with care but as an inconvenience. Im so upset with this service and heres pictures to help warn you. They lie and they really dont care. All I asked was for the referral and this company just gives you the run around. You can even see it in each and everyone of there faces. I am a very kind female but this pushed me far to warn everyone.
Went to this location, my son who is in the Army is donating plasma. In the departure room, there is a big sign stating active and retired military will receive a $10 thank you reward and other cash back savings. When we asked them about honoring this promo, we were told it was only a Veterans day promotion. It is now middle of March of the following year. The sign neither states its for Veterans day nor is there an end date on it. I inquired if they would honor it, we were told no, its a corporate promo. One of my problems is it is still up in the departure room with no signs of removal. Either remove the sign or honor it. Hard to believe no one has brought this to their attention before. This is a military city and CSL should be more aware of what their signage in the building. Otherwise a clean facility.
Staff move slower than sloths.Lack of urgency. Friendly though.... except for the really big guy, He bold faced lied to me about my bonus details. This is my fall back location.Marbach although insanely busy at times, the staff maintains all around excellent efficiency bar none.
I was not too happy with this plasma center. Ive worked at 1 and visited another and ive gotta put this one on a low score. This plasma center is under staffed. Usually when ive came in, theres a long line to get screened with only 1-2 screeners Once you get to the back, its worst cause not everyone back there is a certified phlebotomist. So what i see mainly is there are more workers disconnecting than there are phlebotomist sticking. Cross training should be a requirement if they wanna work here. About a week or 2 ago, there was a long line to get to the back and it took a long time before we got called back, once i did, i learned that there was 6 employees back there with only 1 sticking and the rest were only disconnecting donors. I witnessed that one poor guy stick 20 people on his own because of lack of staff. The others there arent trained to do phlebotomy. Ive been told from a few of the employees here that people who get hired dont last and that is why its understaffed. It already takes about 1 1/2 hours to donate and for this place to be under staffed takes forever. If the hiring manager could staff this place better with friendly hard working employees who truly wanna work, i think customers experiences would be much better and business for them may increase. Theres plenty more plasma centers we can choose to go to.
I have been doing this for ten years twice a week I even donated in Washington state and I gotta tell you that this center sucks! They need more employees not to mention more machines and beds plus they dont have a TV! I mean come on sometimes we want to watch something not just hear music If I wanted to listen to music I would of stayed at the marbauch location. Also they know Monday was closed due to Christmas and cause of that it will be packed but yet theres only two people sticking. Its not their fault that manager cant manage right! I take the bus and if I would I will rather go to the other side of town than here.
This is a good place to come to,everyone here is extremely professional they are fast and attentive to everyone, covid precautions in full affect.everything gets sanitized and everything is very clean.the staff even says hi to you, they dont just ignore you,I would recommend this place to anyone going anywhere else, great environment and caring employees, they do alot for this place, the management and staff care and it shows, ask for Dante hes one of the best ones .Thank you everyone who works here.and all that you all do everyday for everyone, especially the people needing the medicines we all contribute for them.
I was greeted very nicely by Bianca in the front when i was called to the booth by her. She is very sweet and makes you feel welcomed. I hope that management values her as an employee because she is definitely a great asset to CSL Plasma. Thank you, Bianca. I will continue to keep coming back to this location.
The ONLY reason I am leaving a 1-star review is because I cannot give it 0 stars. I will say that those writing positive reviews for this location have simply never been to any other location. I have been a regular donor at CSL Plasma since 2008, while in San Antonio, always at the Fredericksburg location and I will say the Fredericksburg location is the BEST. I tried this location due to it being just 3 minutes away from my new home and I will regret it for the rest of my life. The staff here has no sense of urgency and ALL look as if they just wanted to scare people away, so they didnt have to work. I was waiting for almost 40 minutes just to be screened. After that they told me I had to be seen by the nurse. When I asked the reason, they just said they didnt know. From there I went to the waiting area for the nurse, here I waited for 38 minutes and all this wait just to tell me that I needed to get a protein test during this donation. So now I am in a total of 1 hour and 20 minutes. When I asked if I would be skipped since I had to wait so long for the nurse just to be told something that could have been informed to me during the screening, they said no. Now I am waiting in the line to get passed to the donor floor. Here I am for 35 more minutes during which I contemplated leaving more than 100 times but did not because the nurse said that if I didnt donate that day, I would not be able to donate for the following few weeks. So then after 35 minutes they pass me to the donor floor and here I am with enough time to write this review which has taken me already 25 minutes and still no one has even come to set up the machine. During this time, I have seen the employees argue with each other because one does not want to disconnect a donor that already finish from before I sat down. I was also able to notice that every trashcan in the facility was overloading with trash. So now after 30 minutes I finally get someone to begin set up of the machine. I will say this is my first and LAST visit to this location. I will gladly drive 30 minutes to the Fredericksburg location and be sure to let them know how HORRIBLE my experience was here. BE WARNED ... DO NOT COME TO THIS LOCATION UNLESS YOU REALLY HAVE NOTHING EVEN TO DO THE DAY YOU COME.
I like coming to this location. Even when i lived very far from the location i continued to travel the 13 miles twice a week in order to stay at my favourite donation site. Ida Dubuse has greay customer service skills. she keeps a smile on her face and makes you feel very welcome.
I had Josh do my stick and worked with me when no one else could since my veins are different and go to the side. He was very kind and took his time to make sure it was done correctly and fast. I appreciate when people take time out to assure its done correctly. So thank you.
Compared to Marbach Fredricksburg Nacogdoches Foursquare? Worst Center out of any other SA location! And in terms of Staff? By FAR the worst staff (understaffed) as well! If you go on A Sunday youll see what that means! Its the busiest day of the week for them and schedule A skeleton Crew? Not enough machines beds staff and or Screeners! One staff member though rocks! John Segovia I hope I got his last name right! Hes the absolute best at what he does including his people skills Very easy to talk to! Worst staff member would have to be Terry Hope The spelling is correct! This person Rides on her high horse and never comes down! 8s never at fault for anything she does wrong! Ill leave it at that! Just choose another staff member if seated in her section!
This place always gives me great customer service and conversation. Jonathan and Lisa c are always professional and friendly. Ida dubose always has a genuine smile on her face and shoesshe cares about her customer. keila l and Ms Patty are also excellent at their job and have GREAT customer service skills makes you feel at home.
I was a loyal plasma donor to the location on fair avenue, south new braunfels near Mccreless shopping area. Then in one month, going to the nacogodoches location, Ive lost complete faith in this company. Never have I seen such a 180 in attitude and performance within the same company. I know some people have a bad day but the whole staff? Where they all on their period? I was compensated for my time but now Ill be donating my plasma and making a difference with another business.
This place has a lot of work to do when it comes to efficiency. They could learn a few things from the Marbach location. At marbach im in and out of there in 1 1/2 hours. I’m at the mccreless location for FOUR hours. They wait for a whole row of chairs to clear to call people to the back , then they take an additional 30 to 40 minutes to stick you. Which in my opinion that’s why they are failing. As soon as one donor comes off the machine ,CALL THE NEXT PERSON AND STICK THEM. There’s also a select few workers who have a bad attitude. Come on management, DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS.
Always feel welcomed as soon as I walk in the door. Great place been coming here scenes January and never had a problem. Ida is very kind, and always has a smile on her face. I can honestly say this is the best csl plasma center out of all of them in San Antonio.-Amadeus prado
Very rude nurse. She went out of her way to embarrass me. Made a big deal about physical seeing my contraceptives which is very personal and I never had a donor site do that before. Over talked me during the interview process then half way told the truth to her supervisor. Horrible visit will be transferring info to another CSL.
The wait is average just like any other location. The ONLY thing I do not like is that THE STAFF DOES NOT CHANGE THEIR GLOVES! The staff does not change their gloves. You have to tell them or they wont do it. THE ONLY PERSON WHO DOES IS BRI. Pay close attention their dealing with everyones blood.
The staff is really kind and the place is really clean compared to other Csl Plasma locations in San Antonio but they are incredibly slow! Really slow and unorganized! It is beyond frustrating going there and leaving 2+ hours later when there isnt even a line! They need new management and I wont be going there again.
This experienced suck. At the beginning (very beginning) they saw my arm had a bruise KNOWING they could have saved me the trouble of two extra hours and didnt say anything. They waited until the UT health center closed and then said they needed a fax from the doctor. MAYBE if they would have told me WHEN THEY SAW MY ARM, I would be able to donate. Now Ive waited my day and interview because they kept their mouth closed until the very last minute. TO THE STAFF!!! YOU NEED TO SAY SOMETHING AT THE BEGINNING IF YOU TESTED MY VIENS AND NOT HOLD OFF UNTIL CLOSING TIME TO SAY YOU NEED PROOF I WENT TO THE DOCTOR.
Processing is quick and the staff are friendly😊I dont know what happened since I last I started to come.. its fast in the vitals but getting into a bed and stick you gotten slower. Not good.😐 They got to get it together get a rhythm so ppl can get in and out, thats what the ppl want.
This place is the worst every time i go they always have a problem with me i went. The very first time i wen in with my lip piercing. And they did not say nothing now they haveing problem with me everybody that work there i had pierced did not say a word now they have a problem with it i had this one since i was 16 years old im 31 years old they did not like us from california
First visit, Waited 3+ hours to finally get looked at, just to get denied because they had to do a Donor check.Could of told me this when they took my identification at the start. Staff was extremely slow. Everyone else that probably gave it 5 stars are reoccurring donors. DONT GO, DONT WASTE YOUR TIME.
Kelia Luna is on of the employees there and she is awesome and down to earth but all about work...Adriana M. Is also a really easy going person always smiling as well as David G. Johanthan rivera always good customer service and very promt.... This place is very courteous and very respectful to all donors...
Its a very nice location!.. but they just need better workers or hire more people took me 2 whole hours too get thru the line and I sat in the bed another 45 minutes in the bed until someone came too stick me... Not too mention some of them are very rude ! Csl @ fredrisgburg is way faster & way better wont be coming back too this location. .
Of all the times that i have donated plasma theres been actually 1 time that i remember vividly .. It had nothing to with anyone being unprofessional its always been a friendly and curtious environment and anyone of the staff are willing to help or answer a question... I had the needle all the way except about 2 or 3 centimeter of it that was out ... I know it was way to deep in my arm , my veins are alil protruding so that was it.. Other than that great job guys.Id also would like to add 1 more thing ... In general anyone who donatrd plasma should know it cam sometimes take longer than normal and on rate occasion you donate quick and out the door... Just have alil more patience
Their very judgemental, they dont know how a junky looks or acts, they assume you are a junky if they see a bug bite, really, do you know what a junky looks like, do you recognize a junky if you see one. I do & I guess you all dont. I was wondering why, you all are not as busy as the others. You all need to brush up on youll attitude towards people & dont assume they are junkies.
This place is okay, but as soon as you get to your bonus points they make sure to bruise you or not return blood back so you can get deferred. Today I was on my 7th donation and a employee named zasha who I trusted dearly stuck me on my right arm. She missed my vain😥. Than she stuck me on my left arm , she got the vein and my blood started coming out , than the cuff was super tight and my whole left arm was red, I called zasha and she told me to just keep pumping my arm , than she asked someone to bring me paper towel so I can squeeze while pumping but Im telling her the cuff is to tight and the blood not flowing out . So zasha dug the needle deeper and it hurt bad it felt like she hit the back of my arm !😖😞😟. So the machine had already took 1 round of blood out, and I was unable to get my blood return. I would recommend EVERYONE STAYING AWAY FROM ZASHA SHE A AFRICAN RACE LADY WITH BRAIDS AND RIBBON IN HER HAIR, SHE LOVES DIGGING IN PEOPLES VEINS AND CAUSING PAIN TO OTHERS . I AM NOW DEFFERED UNTIL NOV 22. BECAUSE SOMEONE COULDNT DO THERE JOB CORRECTLY.
This place is the worst ever. They never open on time, and when they do the computers are never even ready. They open at 6am but arent even ready till 7am. You dont get poked till 7:45am and get out at 9am. If you have to be at work dont even go here. Its not just once or twice its ALL THE DAMN TIME!!
This is my personal preferred Plasma Donation Center. It has friendly staff and decent pay. Here you are allowed to donate plasma in return you are paid according to your weight. A needle is inserted into your arm and blood is drawn out via a plasma seperater machine than the device separates your plasma and returns your blood to your body. A person can donate 2 times a week and on occasions the center pays more on your 8th donation of the month as a bonus. Great place great staff.
Very long wait.. Started process of new donor approximately 1100 am.. Sat down to actually start giving plasma at 138pm... I was the only new donor at the time I came in. The line for returning donors was ridiculous... They need to do better with customer service and getting people in and out... Not happy about wait time
Horrible experiences and only a few good workers Ive been differed because of a lack of professionalism on there part once for 2months and a second for a week they dnt seem to care to many ppl for them to handle it was a good place but not no more they have a problem with sticking and the doctors on duty seem to have a problem with ppl that go feels like a waste of time and a RIP off since workers brag how u just need a GED to get hired no experience necessary
Kim, Jackie, destiny, tasha, kat, patty, tina, mureen, lisa, aahliaya, the nurses all deserve a wonderful 5 stars. But management and some employees deserve a 2 stars because they are slow and rude to donors. Also accuse people of things they did not due. But its ok god dont like ugly.
A yr later and they now suck ....employees taking way to long to tend to a pt, talking amongst them selves ignoring pt because they state the are tired, and plain right rude and take long to dc you just so someone else can do it and literally turn their back to you to not look at you when they are available but talking and send someone else. Sad because anytime is never the right time. Busy packed csls with way more beds and pts make this place look bad because they can function way better and with ease. TEAM WORK PPL and they dont have it.
Many other plasma centers operation is way more efficient and manageable the staff here literally take there time and wonder off each time there done this place is disqusting I have to ask for ur bed to be cleaned or theyll just sit u there the standards here are nasty
I had not felt so bad in one place, you are going to donate blood and make you feel that you are doing yourself a favor ... I have been in this country for 9 years and they had not treated me so badly for the simple fact of speaking Spanish and the funniest thing of all is that the workers speak it ..... ITS A RACIST PLACE

2022-07-02I’m gonna post 2 stars instead of 1 just because there were a few nice employees doing their part. But as a business that’s all it is, you’re not there to help save lives, you are there for them to collect your 800ml and make a profit. I came in as a new donor and they compensate reasonably. They had a promotion for $60 after your 8th donation which I completed, but was never compensated for. They explained that it’s not applicable towards new donors. Even though I kept getting alerts on their app congratulating me on my 8th donation and telling me it’s “payday” I have screenshots. So they do bait and switch, just be mindful. I always try to see the best in people, but this just simply a business trying to turn a profit at any cost.

2022-03-1703/16/2022. After driving thru traffic, I arrived at 6:59pm. There was a young Hispanic female employee who had the door open and had seen me running through the parking lot to make it in time. She was here holding the door open as if to let me in as I did this. I had my phone in my hand and the correct time was 6:59. She then started to go inside and I was going in behind her. She then started to close the door on me and very smuggly told me that they were closed. It wasnt exactly 7pm. Whether it be 6am to 6:59pm, the center should allow anyone coming to donate plasma for a good cause instead of disgruntled employees wanting to close early so they can go home early. Whats one more person at 6:59? Who ever the center manager is needs to remind their employees that the center closes at 7pm as stated on their website, not 6:59pm or whenever their employees feel like locking the door. This was to have been my first visit to this location but I will never donate plasma here after being teased with an open door only to be turned away. As a retired veteran, Im disappointed in the way these young adults treat citizens who come here to donate. I have never closed early doing my job in the military, what makes this person entitled to treat people this way?! I would have given your center zero stars if I was able to, based on the way CSL employee treated me with disrespect because she wanted to go home early. she didnt turn away the donor that arrived at 6:58! Have some standards and honor the work hours posted on your website, have some training on treating people with respect while your at it, CSL plasma on New Braunfels ave! Terrible customer service!

2022-06-04Slowest csl center Ive been to. Always waiting more than 2 hours jus to get stuck with a needle. The others are much faster but this is only a 5 minute drive from me but I think I rather drive the extra 10 minutes and I bet Ill still get out faster over there than coming to New Braunfels

2022-05-28I am a female and had got harassed not to far from this establishment, I was going inside to ask my dad for help. But he was currently in the back. I was in hysterics, but no one helped me get to my dad or ever offered to help. I was just told to wait and sit there while trying to keep myself from crying. Absolutely awful experience.

2022-06-29The new Braunfels location is so slow. The vitals staff have no sense if urgency and are too busy talking about their personal issues.

2022-01-20The staff for me was nice and patient but working with outdated computers. They are using Windows 7, it is crazy to me that they havent gotten updated software from CSL. If this was updated I believe the staff would have an easier time. All the extra time I waited was because the camera wasnt working so I had to move to another room, use that camera then come back to the other but the system had froze while starting up. Then when I saw the doctor he was having issues entering my health issues because of again, the software. Please help your staff and upgrade this equipment. Im sure the staff and guests would thank you.

2022-05-23They had my 75 year old grandmother wait for four hours to tell her she couldnt donate because her Social Security card from the sixties has just one last name and her drivers license has a hyphenated last name. You could have just told us that as soon as she walked in and handed you those things.

2022-01-08I came into the center at 2:50 pm. My pulse was 104. The employees told me since I showed up late, I wasnt allowed any time for my retake. Idk why I got treated any different then anyone else?? They should of gave me 10-15 mins for a retake. The employees was cursing and very unprofessional. I will drive 10 miles extra to go to the other csl location. They are lacking professionalism and I WILL NEVER be going back to the New Braunfels location again....
