CSL Plasma in other cities:
This place is extremely slow on starting the new patient process. Much less I came Friday and they did not inform me they closed in 2 hours but still started my process. I was told to come back to complete it and could just finish with my physical since they couldn’t do it Friday since it was 15 minutes until closing. Here I am today being told I have to do the entire 2 hr process I had already done all over again!
Absolutely horrible experience! under staffed, rude, never answer the phone, unclear hours, and got rid of the reward system. I’ve been calling for an hour and no one has answered the phone. How am I suppose to get my questions answered if no one ever answers the phone! Used to be a platinum member and now you no longer do the rewards system is completely inconvenient and why would you be advertising and accepting new donors if you don’t even have the staff to accept new donors. I have been going here for so long time and I really have been trying to stick it out but I think it’s time to look for a new center because it just seems like it’s not getting any better!
In the times Ive been here Ive only had one donation problem however just getting through the screening is way too slow. This place really needs to be more productive and more proactively getting people in and out. Getting in line with 6 people ahead of me takes an average 30 minutes not to mention the time it takes to actually donate. Might aswell clear your slate for a few hours if you come here. If you wish to donate in a more timely manner, try biolife plasma
Don’t go here they have you spend all your time and energy. I tell them what I’m allergic to and the nurse tells me I permanently can’t donate out of all the places I have donated never have they ever told me no. I don’t have breathing issues with latex I have breathing issues with sulfa. I wasted my time and gas going all the way over there the tech Crystal was very kind and helpful. If you are allergic to something you better lie about it.
I have been donating here for awhile, but this place is going downhill. They are extremely short-staffed, and the lines are getting longer and longer. I have noticed that when the manager is not there, the staff simply does not care about expediting the line. Today, two of the front workers left the area to go have a conference in the back, leaving one worker out there. We stood in line for 40 mins. And watched only a handful a people processed. We finally left and the line was out the door, not even moving. The staff does not seem to care about the long lines, unless the manager is there.
Im actually surprised to see so many with poor experience at this location. Ive never donated. This location was my first experience. I read the site, called to ask advice, & knew my first trip would be a long one.4 hrs total, but it wasnt due to issues with verification, health, or otherwise: it was just busy that time frame.I am a huge needle freakerouter lolollll. The staff have all made my experiences well received. They are good at what they do & have empathy. Zero bruises & thats huge.I check best times before going. Ive donated 4 times & shortest donation time was 1 hr 12 min (38 min for process) & longest 2.5 hrs (long wait to donate) which is slightly long during best hours. The facility is clean, nurses friendly, phlem precise, & staff in a good mood, plus zero payment issues. I do it to help & getting paid is a huge cherry on top.4 stars only as wait can be a bit long on best time hours, but still a good experience overall.
Nacogdoches staff is wonderful however management is very awful and very quick to kick people out for their honest opinion Erin and Jennifer and K are not fit to run A business such as this recommend to the headquarters where they reside that they be replaced due to ill tempered of criticism and other remarks
Called earlier and was told that there excepting new donors but when I drove all the way from canyon lake was then told they just stopped. I wish I was informed on the phone that might be the case. Won’t be coming back because I’m not sure if they have the right information about my body.
I cannot stress enough how little they respect your time. It is not uncommon to be in a line of donors reaching the front door, with ONE tech doing the screening. It can take hours just to find out if your levels meet criteria to donate that day! They consistently open the doors in the morning about 8 minutes late and staff on the floor will leave you waiting to be started while visiting with each other. Very frustrating. If the rule is that you are really being paid for your time and not plasma, this place should have to pay out more than others.Update:Just as I thought, waited almost an hour and a half to find out I am one point too low. All in all, a 3 hour waste of my day.
This place is always amazing. The people are very customer friendly. The atmosphere is always calm and enjoyable. The staff is truly awesome. They greet you coming in and they acknowledge you when leaving. They treat you like a human being in a time that being kind is fading away. During the covid 19 outbreak they have been one of the cleanest and safest places to go. The staff is truly great.
APPLICANT EXPERIENCE:Clean, friendly, but Im a month in and still cant get started. The web site says 3 hours the first trip, one hour after that. I spent three hours my first trip and was told I was set to begin after having a note cleared by the doctor on staff. It took two weeks for my doctor to get that form to CSL (no fault of CSLs here). I then waited a week for the doctor to review and accept the form, emailed from my physicians office to the address on the form. I called, waited on hold for half an hour, then went in person to see what my status was. The doctor is only in once a week and hadnt reviewed the form during this weeks visit. I gave them a physical copy and was told the office would call back the next week once he returned.A week passed with no word, so I called them. I waited on hold 15 minutes, called back to a busy signal, called back and waited on hold 15 minutes, called back and waited on hold 25 minutes, called back to a human (YAY!) and waited on hold 12 minutes while they looked for the form. I was told I was cleared to begin donation. (WOOT!)Excited, I came by the very next morning and was told I needed to finish the application process with a physical by the nurse. (Thought I was done, thought Id completed that before, but okay...) I waited for 35 minutes with no nurse in sight and then, with no idea of when I would be seen, I left for work. The office is friendly, professional, and clean. (Seriously... these people are all very nice.) I believe in the mission and will keep trying. Just know that the 3 hours, 1 hour is NOT ACCURATE. 3 hours, a month, and then god-only-knows is much more like it. Take up the service and be advised you may wait HOURS before you can do anything.I hope, once I finally clear these hurdles, the entire process will be much more user friendly. At the moment, I cant understand how anyone with a job or children does this...Ill update once Ive passed the admission hurdle with a review based upon donor experience.UPDATE! Two weeks have passed and I had a phone call from the center. I didnt catch the phone in time and they left a message to come in. I called back, waited on hold 15 minutes, and was disconnected on their end. Within about an hour, they had called back again. They wanted to advise me that I would have to start all over again: all the questionnaires and videos and such, which is procedure when donations havent been made in a certain amount of time (read: a month to six weeks). The lady was very, very nice... and Im still at square one of not being able to get started. Apparently, this was the hurdle when I last attempted to donate... but no one explained that to me at the time.Ill update again once Ive passed the admission gamut and actually become a donor.
Will not accept my proof of residency. I brought in documents that they said would be acceptable but when I brought them in they said it wasnt good enough. Meanwhile Im losing everything I have because I have no money, cant get a job because I have no money for gas or a phone.
Describing my experience... I donated for SEVERAL years. The phlebs have their own odd cliques and you can tell the GOOD ones by how hard theyre busting their butte to actually care about the donor (no donors, no job). Management - seriously needs a make over.Hours of operation needs to have a notation that reads for the donor to not come in if it is the last hour of the day because staff have already stopped working.Eat before you come in but dont sit in your car out front- theyre watching on the cameras. **not really working** Never mind that you just worked a 13 hour day at your job and youre trying to get a bit of extra money and make a positive impact. My final donation was marked with being told that you cant request a phlebotomist at the end of the day **which I did NOT*******All the 5 star ratings were bought with a raffle promise and should be removed*****
The worst place for donate, they stick me, both arms I donate 3quaters of the bottle and they just pay me 30 half of the money that I suppose to get, they play with your money they pay you whatever they one, dont go to the nacogdoches one is the worst place for donate.
Had the best experience here! I was hesitant with some reviews but the entire staff made it a fast, easy, and comfortable experience. I don’t remember her name specifically but the staff member that checked me in who had one crutch was so awesome! She explained everything, and answered all my questions. Thank you so much I will be a consistent plasma donor at this location(the hour drive is worth it).
When I walked in for a first time donor, I was greeted and was helped right away, Alex helped through my initial application. She was very clear with the requirements and expectations of myself and the facility. After that I was took into the nurses office (racheal) where I was treated with respect and courtesy. Thanks for all the staff for making this experience easy and smooth for me!
This location has been AWFUL lately. I’ve not had a visit less than 2 hours since the new year, I think. Grumpy staff, long long long lines, horrid wait times even when you’re in the chair. All of that combined makes it completely not even worth my time for the little amounts they pay. Plus, they bruised me on both arms and I couldn’t come back on schedule to actually get the bonuses. So, now I’m completely done with this location. I’ve been to two others and had much better, faster, nicer experiences at both!!!
This center makes it easy to donate and make extra money. The lines are not long, the service is quick. The staff is polite and friendly. I make $51 a donation, so $102 a week. It takes me about a hour, maybe 90 minutes if there is a line at all.In comparison... I tried Biolife out and I walked out. I schedule an appointment there, but they dont run on time. Why bother? It was like a 3 ring circus compared to CSL. I didnt end up donating there and came right back to CSL.If you want to earn quick money, try CSL! They are the best plasma donating center. Nacogdoches and OConner is the center I use!
I’ve been coming here since May 2014, it’s busy and usually we don’t wait long. Actually made over 5,000 dollars a year. Yes you need to donate 2 times a week. I’m platinum now sow I can skip the lines for 6 months. Only bummer is my platinum credit card which is supposed to get my money out for free doesn’t work and hasn’t worked since they gave it to me in February.
The donation process is normal, same as any other donation. However, the older white woman who does the new donor process is extremely rude and unprofessional. She has worked the front desk each time that Ive went but shes always too busy being involved with something her co worker is doing which holds up the lines. One of the other ladies (whom was very helpful) had to stop what she was doing with another donor just to assist people at the front desk, while the older white woman was standing there in someone elses business. I cant recall her name but she causes me to give this establishment two thumbs down!
The staff here works well with what hey have available. My only gripe is the time spent in lines. Sometimes it can be 20 minutes and other days can take 2+ hours in line. Then there’s the processing. That’s usually quick and with good humorous staff. I appreciate this place being available to us and for others who can use the plasma!!
I have been donating at this location for roughly about a year or so. The staff is very kind and knowledgeable. The wait can be bad at times but that just comes with any place you donate. I have never had a bad experience with this location and have recommended several people to come and donate here. Very pleasant staff and very clean environment. Everyone is great at what they do.
Ok I have not been here yet was thinking about going but so much negative feedback. As for the older white lady I do not believe in rudeness and am very outspoken when needed. I want to have a good positive experience. I can bring in lots of clients as I am followed by a little over 3000 people
The first visit at any donation center is going to take some time, so be prepared. The earlier you get there, the quicker your time will be. The staff is very nice, Ive never had any problems. I saw someone give Grant a bad review, but Grant is the only one who can find a vein on me without mutilating my arm (nothing against the rest of the staff, I have bad veins), and hes very friendly. I have no issues.
I donate often and just happen to work in the Medical Field. Its a hit or miss on the wait times, sometimes its just busy. Other times Im in and out within 2 hours. The staff has always been great. Theyre friendly and I enjoy interacting with them. The variables they can control, Id say theyre doing an excellent job.
Dont do it! I WAS going to be a new donor. Worst plasma center in SA! Took two hours before I even saw doc for screening, and I was the only one there at the time. Staff are clueless unprofessional knownothings. Took 8 people just to figure out how to do questionnaire, then had to do it by them reading each question to me for some reason. When I did see doc, she gave me 1 week deferral because I couldnt recall EXACTLY the last day I had donated, which shouldnt matter because it was my normal donation day anyhow.I hope this location closes.Half expected squealing pigs to run out from under their coats.
Not a bad place. It can get busy though, just be patient. They would need triple the people to keep up. Those that do work here are fast and efficient and they pay you. Not a bad deal. The first time takes 2 to 3 hours for the screening thats all. After that 90 minutes out the door.
Some of the staff are very nice and cortious but others should not be working there. Other then those 3 people I highly recommend this place.I retract my previous statement and warn everyone to be careful due to most of the staff are rude and about half way through my visit I look down where my hand had been resting and theres blood on the seat and it wasnt mine.
I love coming to this location. Tori, always has a smile on her face and knows her stuff. Its great to hear her laughing from the line. And when on the bed Bobbie, is fantastic at organization and she has never hurt me on a stick. All and all, great people, and very professional with a wonderful amount of knowledge.
This location is pretty fast...for a reason. Theyll turn you away if you have bug bites, or a tiny bruise near the needle mark even though you passed your vitals and the marks were there since first donation, thus screwing you out of your bonus payout (watch out for the little Asian chick: she loves to do deny donors when they reach the donor bed, thus wasting thier time with out compensation). Aside from the seemingly arbitrary qualifications of the staff ( nurse included, the old blond one), they never wipe down the donor beds after use, and they like to use the same gloves often with out changing them. Unfortunately there are some really good employees there. They seem fun and make the time pass quickly, thank you guys for that ( which is why the 2 stars and not 1 that I originally wanted to post).
Omg this place is so unorganized and is employed with techs that do not know the importance of working in a timely fashion. Standing around laughing and joking amongst each other Im sure is not part of their job details. This location definitely needs some leadership skills when it comes to taking donors time into consideration. I will definitely not be coming back.
If i could give 0 stars i would. I’ve never been somewhere so understaffed that the staff itself doesn’t want to work. The immature staff makes you wait around for their conversations to be over then will tend to you. Donors make pennies on the dollar what these places make and they can’t even staff up to accommodate for the demand. Will NEVER be back.Update:This place still sucks. The workers will stand and talk and laugh while the line for the Que is 10+. They will have 5-6 beds open and still refuse to call another Donor. Don’t waste your time.
Everyone here is extremely nice and friendly. These guys are very patient with me because my veins are thin and hard to find. Today I must say was one of my best days, Articia was phenomenal!!! She found my vein in one try making my donation go fast and smooth with no bruising what-so-ever. SO GREAT!! Thanks Jesse for your great staff, you guys are a fun crowd. 😉😁😎🤗😆
Always have had a nice experience at CSL, Paula is great! She is very professional and hospitable. When you get on the donor floor. Lizzy, Shawna, Grant are pure pro’s at their job. I absolutely enjoy coming to CSL and will continue to do so. Thank you to all team members at CSL Nacogdoches.
I am donating my Covid plasma. I have had a great experience doing this. Everyone is professional and thorough. The place is clean and Everyone wears masks. Somehow, they find my vein quickly, easily and it is painless. Bring a blanket and something to drink and a granola bar for after and you will be fine.
Place is clean and staff are nice, but the waits suck (25 minutes to get vitals checked and then another 35 minutes to get on the donor floor.)There not understaffed, theyre just not efficient. 6 phlebotomists on the donor floor, 6 people in line, it took an hour for everyone to get a place on the donor floor.
So I came in for my first visit today. I was greeted right away and started the lengthy process of getting checked in. I went through the entire process-in part with Harriet. She was very sweet and explained everything that I was to expect. I even got to skip the line that was waiting for a free machine because it was my first time donating. Grant hooked me up to the machine and was very thorough as well about what to expect. Plus, he was pretty funny so that helped alleviate any anxiety I was feeling before. Overall, great experience.
The reason why I love this place it doesnt matter if its this place or another at point is every place has their ups and downs if theres something that you dont like for some reason then bring it up nicely if they dont want to listen them write a love letter to someone that is in charge or make appointment to talk to someone that is in charge not trying to be rude youre trying to make it better days are very very important to donate do to it saves lives and a lot of these lives youll have to understand our children our future so yes lets make a complaint if that is what needs to be please where we can save the people that we do this for may God be with us all
I Love this Place... Ive been going here off and on when I need extra cash to help me when in between jobs or just needs some extra gas/food money in todays economy. Sometimes I do Wish they would Increase the amount a Donator can make for same economic reasons.-- Granted sometimes the lines are long and wait times seem excessive; but The Staff Know What theyre doing and when I walk into this location versus other CSLs I feel comfortable to donate here.
Update: I was able to speak with the CMD and explain my condition when I went a week later. Very understanding gentleman. I had anxiety for nothing (as usual)and will not be anxious at all in the future. If they knew my background when it comes to my white coat syndrome etc and how commonit is, there would have never been any issues. Still take your meds before you go. It was much easier than I thought. Also Jeanie (sp?) nurse was so sweet and calming. Jianni and Dwayne are legit. The phlebotomists were really nice and it makes it worth the drive from Helotes.Don’t go to this location if you’re nervous about needles or medical settings. The “lady” who is supposed to check reflexes etc (which she never checked by the way) flipped when I mentioned I was a little nervous. Naturally being a first time donor the place can be intimidating. Then have her yelling (with the door open while I was sharing confidential information) because I took my medication to control my condition blowing it completely out of proportion. She was already walking around with a scowl on her face. I did my research before going and you are allowed to take your medications for anxiety as usual. If you decide to go to this one just don’t tell them about your anxiety and take ur meds before you go in. Really felt like the twilight zone she was really bizarre and very rude. The other staff were friendly and made me feel at ease. Beware of Harriet. I’d even go as far as to ask another staff member to go with you while she is checking because she exaggerated A LOT, you don’t want to get deferred and have no witness to her hyperbole. My husband knew who gave me the problem before I even told him. I saw some pretty sketchy people going in after me and I’m more than sure they lied and got through the process. I recommend the same considering that’s how they run that place. Happy Easter! 🐣 When I go back I’ll update my review, hopefully for the better.
To CSL plasma I have no complaints about this location every one is nice an respectful the only complaint I have is that I was given a flyer w a express pase etc also that flyer has a website CSLPBUddyBonus.comThis website does not work.. please make sure you stop giving that flyer or cover it w sharpy or something..
Amazing. I transferred from the one on fredericksburg which was super dirty, ratchet af, rude staff, and the last time I went the guy hit a nerve which resulted in my arm going numb on and off for two weeks,a huge bruise, and being unable to use it . Needless to say I was very hesitant to go back ever again. I was so happy when I went into this location and the staff was super friendly, the place itself is so clean, and it was a fast process. I told the phlebotomist about my experience and he reassured me everything would be fine there and they know what they are doing. I even received a follow up call from the facility today to make sure I was feeling ok. The doctor who performed my exam was super friendly, and the other gentleman who did my screening reassured me as well I was in good hands. I LOVE this facility and even if I move I just might make the drive to this location specifically because of my amazing experience. Shoutout to nacogdoches for providing the best service and doing it right :)
I am very disappointed with my experience so far, and here is a basic sum up of it.Day 1: everything was fine until I got back to the screening process (30 Minute video, and 64 questions later) and got told I would be getting deferred for that day due to my protein levels being 0.3 over what they accept.Day 2: came in was told due to me being deferred the last time that I would have to do the whole process over again, but this time they stopped me half way through and told me to see the nurse turns out the guy who did my screening last time misinterpreted what I said about saline and marked me as a permanent deferral because I was allergic to it. So another 30 minutes of waiting for them to fix that, once that was over I was told to wait for one of them to call me back to the screening room (3 people taken before me), then once I get through the process all over again I got told my plasma looked to cloudy and it was shown off to the other workers as an example of bad plasma (Very rude).Day 3:Once again was told I needed to do everything over again, about half way through I was told to see the nurse, this time it was because they had complaints about how I smelt the last time I came in (Just got off work and went straight there), she was really nice about it and even helped make sure I got to donate that day.Day 4:I get to do the same thing every reoccurring donor does go through the kiosk and do the questions and wait in line to get through to one of the booths to make sure everything is up to par with their rules (Very strict), once in the booth I was told the kiosk did not save the questions that I did and that I would need to redo the questions, but not like that mattered due to me getting deferred once again but guess what for? I was 0.1 over the allowed protein level.Ok so dont get me wrong yes I have not been coming here long but, I dont know if its just me but being 0.# over should not make you get screwed out of a potential 60+ dollars, I could understand if it was a full on 1.0+ but come on getting deferred for 0.1 is horrible.
These people are insanely slow! Wander around with no care in the world. Said I had to see the nurse for my 4 month deal. They opened the door twice to her office and she was just sittin there; assuming doing nothing but hiding out and not wanting to work. 7pm likely busy, Im sure, severely understaffed or these people are simply lazy.
Out of all my donating experiences this place is the most professional, has some of the best staff, and is generally a warm, good place to be. That’s not to say mistakes don’t happen, I have been stuck wrong by people and there are definitley better phlebotomists than others. If you’re nervous or have had bad sticking experiences in the past I recommend requesting senior staff and requesting/asking for the best phlebotomists on the floor at the time. (Generally everybody has an idea of who’s good or not), but they’re all really great, caring people that do they’re job to the fullest. Love these people. Best location in San Antonio
If I could put a zero I would. Even if you are on this side of town do yourself a favor and drive to fredricksburge rd. Location. I waited for over 30 min just to get called to the donor floor, mind you I was first in line. They have theyre music set where you cant even hear the one headphone your allowed to have in. The manager after hearing my complaint was great but honestly the girls on the floor skipped me 3 times and even after I told the lady that I was supposed to be before the other three they had already stuck....she then said Ill finish getting her set up and your next she hadnt even started yet so I then calmly spoke to a manager and left. Besides the manager and the nice lady who took my vitals all the girls on the floor were in no hurry to get things done and honestly how are you supposed to trust them with a huge needle in your arm....if you dont like your job then find another one. Its clean and up front was great but the back could honestly care less and you can tell. I wont be returning to this location even though its 6min from where I work.
I tell ya! Them phlebotomist are super professional, like team members Jesse and Hector. Rose was a delight too talk to and kept the experience super fun! Yall need to check this spot out. Thanks csl! Yall are better then all the other plasma locations!!! And Kimberly rocks!!!!!!!!!
Horrible place as far as speed. People are just people. All good. But this place needs more workers. There is 1 person sticking and about 40 people. Lol seriously. And where is management? Probably at home cause they aint here. I shouldve gone to Fredericksburg rd but I live closer to this one. CSL this place is in bad shape. Terrible wait times.
First time visit. Sat around for 4 hours before they checked my vitals and was told I would have to wait 2 more for the physical. The worst part was that they didnt even follow the list. Other people that showed up after me got called before me. The staff had no priorities and were walking around talking to each other. After I was brought back into that interview room the nurse abandoned me for 15 min to go say hi to a friend who showed up to donate. Terrible first experience. Turned me away from the whole thing. Would never recommend this waist of a day.
This particular center has been overall great for me. Moving from Fort Worth and first visiting the Center on Fredericksburg I quickly stopped donating. I recently restarted months ago and came here and since then Ive had very minimal issues. Staff as a whole are extremely confident from the front desk to the phlebotomist in the back. Special shootouts to, Esther, Bobbie and Ruben for listening and taking care of any issues that came up while donating. Honorable mentions and friendly employees. Abigail, Carmen, Claudia, Cyndi, Dianni, Kenneth, Jennifer, Tim, Patty, Quientin, Edith & Rose.18OCT2018B up front was very nice. First time seeing her.11MARC2019What is a phlebotomist? Staffed up front. Staffed in the back? 1 phlebotomist??? Im confused.20MAR2019I feel like weve..22APR2019Ive had about 2 negative experiences in the last month. The only positive is Miss Paula up front. Shes a breath of fresh air when coming in and starting the process in the morning.
It was okay the first time , but the second time round they stuck me in right arm , adjusting the needle every few minutes ,which caused bruising , eventually they had to restick me in my other arm , I tried coming back today for my third visit but was turned down due to there screw they did bruising my arm , very unprofessional and slow as well , would not recommend
Honestly hands down, one of the best plasma centers I’ve ever been to. No offense to the other employees, y’all are great. But Ms.paula is one the most kind hearted person I’ve ever met. She’s the reason I’m come back & donate. & if the Manager is reading this plz give that lady a raise she deserves it.Thnx
These ppl obviously get paid by the hour and dont seem to care too much about the people waiting in line to have their vitals checked. They have no problem making those people wait so they can stand around and watch others, or spend 10 min talking to someone who just walked in. 10+ people in line, and the 1 person checking vitals gets up to do something else because the person that should be doing it is busy leaning against the wall. 11/14/16 - a horribly long line just to sign in, and none of the employees seem to care the least bit about it because the longer that line is, the slower everyone else can work.
A couple of weeks ago this would have been a 5 star review. In the last few weeks almost all of the staff members who can perform a stick without a lot of pain have been let go or quit. The remaining phlebotomists are unable to keep the pace swift and Ill wait even longer to get someone who doesnt dig in my arm or poke and prod with the needle. Missing Omar already, he was absolutely the best at keeping things moving and he never hurt me. You let go of a gem there CSL. Looking into other donation centers.
A fairly efficient facility that unfortunately gets overwhelmed during peak hours. The staff are largely effective and friendly, and their positive inter-staff interactions help facilitate an energetic atmosphere. The warning to those wanting to avoid long waits would be to go early in the morning(the facility opens at 06:00) and avoid the long waits, otherwise, you could be in for an hour or more of standing prior to getting to the donor floor. The pay is better than previous plasma centers I have personally sold at, but the building is sparsely furnished - there is a standing queue in which donors wait to be screened, and called to the area where the plasma is withdrawn, which during peak hours can become an uncomfortable experience. There are no televisions in the donor floor area, but there is music played over the speakers, and most people entertain themselves with their phones, so it is hardly a mark against the facility. All in all, you will encounter pleasant staff, and reasonable reimbursement at the sacrifice of a few small comforts.4/5 will continue to sell plasma - a great way to add some walking-around money to your pockets
Others have posted negative reviews, yet they seem to be the type to want something for nothing. Youre getting paid to wait for a while (sometimes a long while), then sit there and bleed! If you wanna be picky, go get a job or if you have one already, get a better job so that you dont have to donate. These guys pay better than a lot of other places and its in a safe area, which is more than I can say for most of the plasma places which are usually in a sketchy area.
Unfair bonuses. I don’t get why they offer monthly streak bonuses and then change their donors donation days preventing them from getting the bonus. And then say they care about their donors. Most if not all donors are using the compensation they get as a second income. It’s very rediculous And unfair they propose these bonuses and some people can’t even get them cause they change people’s donating days. Also these bonuses are only acquired by your 6th, 7th, 8th, or 9th donation. And sometimes you don’t even get that many donations per month. I just think it’s unfair that some people can’t even get all the bonuses even if the donate twice a week. Even if they’ve been on a streak since they started donating
Absolutely terrible we tried donating here once before and the wouldnt accept a lease as proof of address, second time I went through the whole process just to find out they wouldnt let my husband donate due to him answering 2 questions out of 95 wrong. My husband is dyslexic and had learning disabilities as well as trouble reading. I cant believe how rude the lady was to him.
Have been donating for a while now. Took 6 months off then came back in February. Ever since coming back my wife and I have been through nothing but harrassment from the lady with short blonde hair. Today after an issue happened of my machine messing up and Esther told another employee to watch my machine. Nobody was watching when blood went into the bottle and I was deferred for 56 days. I reported it to the manager ( the lady with short blonde hair ) she said i was jist coming up with reasons and not to come back again. I no longer want people to go here as if something goes wrong. You will be told not to come back.
If i could give 0 start i would. And ive Been going for 7 years to this location never had a problem until this year 2018 .new staffs useless the new rn doesnt know what he is doing and juat dont waste uour time here biotest plasma is better customer service, more professional and pay better. Only person thats is worth anything at this one is Grant the manager. Watch out they will do whatever they can to make sure you cant donate when it comes time to get your monthly bonuses some how?? That has been happening to alot of people i know that go here
I WAITED 3 HOURS JUST FOR THEM TO TELL ME I COULDNT DONATE BECAUSE I GOT MY NOSE PIERCED LESS THAN 12 MONTHS AGO! They give you a binder to read so you know what youre getting to and no where does it say hey if you got a piercing or tattoo with in the last 12 months you cant donate so dont waste your time sitting here waiting. Seriously horrible and even if you dont have any of that youll still have to wait at least 2 hours to be seen.
Im here for the Prize lol CSL is the Fastest plasma center ive ever been in an i gotta say they make u feel at home an apart of the team i dont even have to apply here to feel welcomed lol CSL Proud n Pride i love being a donor here n they show appreciate n make u feel special in the long run Go to CSL if u need to help a friend out or maybe get something u want while changing someone elses life !
Would love to give them no starts at all. Workers have to all one for to move the other. Theyre either slow or lazy. Never fails with new hires, you will get a bad needle poke. They have no sense of urgency. Grant is the worst. Walks back and forth doing absolutely nothing, while he just watches line get bigger. Time only to scratch his nuts.
Came here for my first time donating plasma, you get $60 the first time then $75 then $60 then $75 then it goes by weight. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they make sure you get through the exam process as fast as possible. I’ll definitely be coming back here.
I was a first-time donator this morning and I was treated very respectfully and, more importantly, professionaly, and I have nothing but great things to say about the staff, from the time I walked through the front door to the time I left, and process that I underwent. I am terrified of needles and if not for having a sister fighting ovarian cancer for the second time, I would not have had the courage to donate. Instead, once I informed staff of my fear, they treated me with upmost respect and asked me several times if I wanted to continue. I am GLAD I did because not only do I feel a sense of satisfaction for “doing my part” but I now understand that the process is painless and worth my time in the future. One piece of advice: Bring some music and headphones and everything will be fine.
They’re fast until they become too social annoying each other. I sat today with a needle in my arm for 30 minutes before they realized it had stopped 30 minutes ago. They would’ve noticed if they walked by a few times but my side wasn’t monitored at all. Very unsatisfied and won’t be coming back
Be ready for the track marks (yes just like a heroin addict, they dont tell you or warn you) that will be left on your arms from donating to a staff that is disrespectful, rude and pays terrible while they turn around and sell your plasma for much more then you can imagine. Tvs gone now to? Really? Yall used to be a nice place, nice people. Requirements to donate as far as personal info is concerned one of the most frustrating experiences when dealing with someone who couldnt care if you drove in on fumes with all documents in hand cus homeless, its my fault I get it but dont disrespect me because of my life circumstances, dont turn me away cus I aint got my social but I got a w4 with a different address on it. Yall make so much money off us and pay us dirt besides that you make it SOOOOOO difficult for something so simple!!!!!!!!!!!
Asked for a pack of crackers to prevent the same thing as last time when I became faint, and the Hispanic phlebotomist straight raised his voice audible enough for people around to hear as if to embarrass me; telling me, This is the only time; they cant be giving them out! Ive been coming here off and on for five years and this is the ONLY time Ive asked. Like calm down bro. Its one pack of crackers.8/2/2018So went today same dude about the crackers disconnects me Improperly, cause pain, and blood spill over onto the bed. He then walks away to start a conversation with his females friend, takes off gloves without wrapping my arms or taking off blood pressure sleeve..was told by manager theyll look at cameras...if he isnt reprimanded makes it look unprofessional for CSL plasma
Both of my arms are bruised from unsuccessful attempts on both arms. I added pictures to their gallery to see. This isnt the first time the phlebotomists have done this. They dig around for the vein & thats ridiculous. If you cannot hit the vein on the first attempt they should not be digging around since this will happen. I wont be able to donate now until theyve healed & that will affect my bonuses. Retrain your phlebotomists.
Staff is extremely unprofessional and rude. They had me on hold for over 30 min for a simple yes or no question. So i go and drive down there to ask and the lady at the front desk has the worst attitude. I dont understand where all the hostility came from but do yourself a favor and go to another location.
Good clean area. Friendly, knowlegable staff. T.vs playing a random channel or movie while donating or music playing that varies genres from song to song.Drinks lots of water and do moderate exercise with your donation arm if you want to spend less time when donating.
First time take a while but, its worth the wait after the first long lasting visit its a quick wait in line and your back to donating the employees are nice and communicative as they should and make sure everyones doing fine, they make the experience of getting poked with a huge needle a much less stressful thing
I have been donating at this place since they opened.for the most part it has been great.somedays the wait is ridiculous.i agree that staff needs to quit gossiping and fill the beds, and unstick me in a timely matter.they have been understaffed for sometime.their WiFi sucks.cant even get on their website in the building.!!.for the most I have had pretty good experience there.Management needs to come out of their cubicles and help stick people.great attitudes!!!
DO NOT WORK AT THIS LOCATION ms BROWN IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL MAKING EMPLOYEES WORK RIDICULOUS WORK SCHEDULES IVE SPOKEN WITH MULTIPLE EMPLOYEES THERE AND THATS WHY THEY ARE SO SLOW AND UNORGANIZED SHE WORKS THEM LIKE DOGS FOR ONLY 10.99$HR THEY TREAT THE EMPLOYEES WITH NO RESPECT ESPECIALLY MOST ARE DUE FOR RAISES AND HAVENT EVEN RECIVED PAST RAISES THAT THEY WERE SUPPOSED TO GET NO SET SCHEDULE FOR EMPLOYEES AND ON DAYS OFF THEY STILL HAVE TO GO TO WORK FOR MANDATORY MEETINGS AVOID THIS LOCATION AT ALL COST is super unorganized alot of drama between employees wait times is ridiculous I was there 6 hrs one time staff is rude and angry all the time
I moved here from dallasHave been to two different CSL plasma locations in Dallas and now this one in san Antonio...this is by far the best one ive been inEfficiency is the core to.their speedEveryone is contentious and considerate of all doners. They get you in and out as fast as youre able to donateIm really very very impressed with this location
Website hours and Google hours are wrong. I showed up at 530pm on sunday and everything was closed even though their website and google says they close at 7pm. So I suggest you call this place to see if they are open. (Hopefully they answer) and the front door doesnt even have the hours of operation.
Wish I could give negative stars. They will tear your vein up, then the manager with beard skinny and tall , will start to control your talking about it by faking a fight so he can permanently band you from donation. Super doush bag weak punk. Very bad place. Tried to call district manager and left messages. She never returned my calls and never answered and staff at corporate would not let me speak to someone else. This place preys on the homeless and needy. The plasma is used to make money, not saving lives.
CSL Plasma Center, The Staff Is Very Helpful, I Went To Donate Plasma On May 28th 2017 To Donate Plasma And The Doctor Told Me That I Have A Block By Biotest Plasma Center Which Biotest Denies The Accusation Of The Block But I Know Biotest Did Put The Block On Me Donating Plasma And CSL Plasma Center Do Want My Business-- Update I Went To Lab At The VA Hospital For Blood And Urine Sample So CSL Plasma Can Have An Update Report So I Can Be Cleared To Donate Plasma And Make A Little Income Between The 5th And 20th Of Each Month, I Hope That CSL Plasma Gets The Letter To Clear Me Soon
Can I just say how bad this location there is 7 staff on the phlebotomy floor and they can’t open the other side I’ve been in line for about an hour this location is truly awful and they don’t stick you right away they sit you down then it’s another 30 minutes to get stuck
Poor customer service and unprofessional staff. They do not explain all the rules and conditions for the donation and will stop your donation just so they dont have to pay for your whole donation. I was kicked out for having my eyes closed and didnt receive my whole donation fee and they didnt return my red blood cells.
I WOULD LIKE TO GIVE A SPECIAL SHOUT😀 OUT TO ALL STAFF 1ST AND FOREMOST ALL YOU PEOPLE ROCK U ARE ALL ON UR BEST @ WORK AND LEMME TELL U MY GURLS UP DER DIANNI!! AND MS.BOBBY!! OMG!!!😀 VERY QUICK AND VERY PROFESSIONAL U GURLS ARE CSL!.. U ALL ARE AMAZING #TEAM#DAZ#WUZ#UP😀
Well I go donate often some times its fast and some times it takes forever and lines long but recently I went and they screwed up my arm so bad the bruise looks like I was kicked by a horse and if Icould post it on here youd be shocked how bad a needle can mess you up.
If you do not mind being lied to or demeaned as a person then support this business in their efforts to sell their plasma at top dollar when they rip off their donors and do not pay them correctly or when the staff Miss treats donors and management does nothing about the problem.

2022-04-09My daughter and I donate plasma at this location, from time to time. Very courteous and knowledgeable staff. Its a very cohesive team. Witnessing how they help each other on the floor and at the front desk is genuine. Thanks for all you do. See you all soon.

2022-06-30Waits are kinda long. Some need more experience sticking you. I have my favorites that do a great job. And I think Loraine in vitals is cute. And appreciate her help with breathing exercises to lower my pulse rate when its to high.😁

2022-05-27Most of the staff are very friendly. Some don’t seem to speak at all. Now, I don’t know if it’s a CSL procedural issue or this location, but it’s so ridiculously inefficient. The screening has a lot of down time that could be eliminated. I’ve been sitting in a bed now for nearly 15 minutes and still haven’t been seen. There are 6-7 staff members on the floor and only one has acknowledged me even being here. Having donated with a competitor, I see many deficiencies in the process here. Once I’ve gotten the most out of being a new donor, I’ll take my business elsewhere.First visit was just a few minutes shy of THREE hours. That’s just unacceptable. The frustration builds. I’ve seen three people who arrived after me get stuck already….

2022-07-26I can’t tell you the number of times I’ve left because of the lines and long wait times. They don’t have all beds open all day and screening booths are not always fully manned. I’d go twice a week every week if there wasn’t the wait times. Also they don’t always open on time ready to go. The people I have interacted with have always been great.

2022-05-04My first time donor experience here went by smoothly and without any issues. Your first visit might take 2-hours out of your day but its to be expected as they have to perform a physical screening and review of your medical history, sign acknowledgment forms and a moderately long questionaire.Every member of the staff was professional, respectful, and they were all very efficient.Make sure you eat a well balanced meal and are well-hydrated before coming! The donation process was thoroughly explained to me by the phlebotomist, it took me about 35 minutes to fill up the container (it helps speed up the process if you bounce your feet up and down in a kicking motion).

2022-06-18Overall the staff is nice and friendly and the process is easy. The only issue I’ve noticed donating here is after the screening process. The last 3 donations I’ve been here people are waiting probably 15-20 minutes in a bed before getting stuck,I’m not sure how that could be fixed but that’s my observation.

2022-06-09Not well organized, not friendly staff. Plan on being there for 2 hours and feel lucky if it’s less. Everyone moves at a snail’s pace and though they have 5 stations to do pre-donation test, usually only have 1 or 2 maybe working it. The game is wait, wait, wait. Won’t be back - there are better options.

2022-07-13Place has really gone down hill over the years. Just not worth what little they pay for how much time spent there and all that has to be put up with. They dont always pay what they promise in the promotions and deals on the CSL app. It just feels overall like a horrible experience and a waste of time. They make a lot of money off doners and patients. Should be a lot better.

2022-04-22I went for my second donation and was called into the office for a question about a tattoo. She then explains that the tattoo in question was drug related (its an LSD stamp) and resulted in permanent deferral. Ive been donating at Biolife for 2 years with no issue (came here for the new donor promo). This place sucks. Its dirty and the equipment is old. Must not need plasma that bad if they are willing to turn away a healthy donor because of a tattoo.

2021-12-30The staff is always friendly, the facility is always very clean. I would give a five except lately the wait time is so long. When I arrive at 4:30, I usually dont get out until 7:30. The only thing I would say is please hire more staff, mainly for the intake, one person for 16 people in line is NOT enough. Other than that I love this place.
