I have bought and sold furniture and home decor items here for 3 years, and purchased much of the furniture for my home here. The merchandise they carry is much higher quality than that of any other consignment store I have visited. It really looks stylish and like new! Also, the service is as good as can be. They have loaded impossibly large pieces into my car, recommended people to help move things into my home, and answered all my inquiries promptly. I cant recommend them highly enough!
I went in looking for anything unusual or one of kind. I did see quite a few interesting pieces, but nothing I couldnt live without. Then, I see a vase I had seen earlier in the week while at a discount retail store. Thinking I could grab it here for even less, I check the price. Ha! Its 4x the price as the exact vase at the discount retail store. So, I check the tags on some of the other things and absolutely ridiculous! In the 30 years that I have visited consignment shops, furniture stores and retail stores I have never seen anything as ridiculous.
I love this store! I’ve sold overstock from my design business a couple times. They make it easy and my net is much better than a Craig’s List approach. I’ve also made many purchases for myself, clients and family members. Can’t help it - I always check their email updates for new stock.
Its been a little over a month since I purchased a living room chair and a very unique day bed. Everyone I worked with provided exceptional and personable customer service. I continue to be impressed with the excellent condition of both pieces that were heavy and had to be moved to a 3rd floor location in my home by Leon Moving, who was also suggested by Design with Consignment. Everything went so smoothly, no surprises, and I look forward to continued business.
Some years ago I purchased a fully furnished house. Thanks to DWC, I was able to get rid of the items I didnt want and find replacement items that I really liked and could afford. They are really picky about the items they accept for resale, so its always fun to see all the interesting, high quality stuff thats currently on display.
Im a bit biased, must confess, however the showroom ALWAYS looks first class fabulous! The products are first class fabulous! The entire staff, including backroom staff, are customer satisfaction oriented and proud to be a part of the best consignment store in the city. Drop in and youll be absolutely hooked ... promise.
Love Design With Consignment! I recently downsized and consigned over half my furnishings and home assessories with them. Alex came to my home and gave me a fair and honest assessment of what would sell and for how much. They referred me to a great moving company that carefully transported my things to DWC and nearly everything I consigned sold within 90 days. Love their online system that allows me to track my sales and ensures I receive a prompt payment check each month. They are very organized, knowledgeable and kind. I cant say enough good things about them, go and check them out!
Only been once. Seems like good prices, good stuff, and friendly folks. Recommendation: if you see something you like, buy it and dont hesitate. We went there looking for something a friend of ours discovered for us, but by the time we got there it was sold. Thats a good problem to have, they move things quickly, that should tell you something.
I came to the store today at 2 pm and three staff members would pass by me and not acknowledge me-no hello,no offer to help me find something, and no smile or pleasant acknowledgement. I walked the store twice and had to ask the man behind the counter if he could help me find something. He said they were busy with school moms so the website was not updated and if I didnt find anything on the floor for myself he couldnt be of any other assistance. He was curt and not friendly at all. The blonde lady had three store people helping her, but no one could take one minute to even say hello, thank me for coming in, Ill be with you shortly, nothing. I have never been snubbed and made to feel a nuisance in a consignment shop before. I ended up buying new just to get good service. I was so disappointed in this store. Im baffled at why I was ignored, especially when one of the workers was by the front door when I came in and he wouldnt say one work, smile or greet me with any pleasantness. Wow.
This collection of gently used furniture, art pieces, and rugs is one of my favorites in all of Austin. I could brouse around for half a day in here. The groupings on the floor are carefully put together and the vases, paintings, and unique decor pieces are fun to imagine in my own home!
I did not go inside rather I was unloading stuff for my girlfriend he was consigning things. She is a regular customer and likes this place and says it is good. I was somewhat disappointed by the fact that not much help was available unloading the stuff I would have expected them to have people on staff to do that, which they do, but they were busy doing other things so I ended up having to do most of the grunt work.EDITED 1/10: Reducing from 4 stars to 3. Same issue. Not enough help unloading heavy stuff onto loading dock. I am disable and my girlfriend is well, a girl, and the guy was like can you help? Thats ridiculous.
CuratedTx is really goofed up right now. Physical store is closed rightfully from COVID-19. But main phone number and website says you can buy online and they deliver. But after placing my order, they informed me delivery is not offered and I have to pickup the items. Furthermore, no one answers the phone or responds to emails. Very difficult to work with to get product information or complete a sales transaction.
Design With Consignment is a wonderful place to shop and sell your beautiful home goods or jewelry. It is the premier consignment store in Austin in my estimation. It is a pleasure just to roam through the store and see the artistic way all things are displayed. Great place to shop or sell.
Found an amazing sideboard for about 1/4th of the price I would have expected to pay! Everything was high quality, in top shape and priced lower than I expected. Exceptional customer service. I Will definitely recommend this place from now on - great place to find an awesome deal on a unique piece!!

2022-08-09All items were in excellent condition with fair market pricing. Better than we expected. My daughter bought a lovely sofa and slipper chair. The gentleman who helped us with the sale also arranged delivery with the company they use. Outstanding customer service! A lovely experience!

2022-03-19I walked into Curated on Friday, March 18th and saw the store staged beautifully in a variety of displays. It made it so easy to see how the wonderful mix of furniture could look in your own home. It’s always fun to visit and shop at Curated but items come and go quickly. So frequent visits are a must. Hooray to Alex for his taste and talent!

2022-06-10Very interesting place, lots of very good looking quality furniture and accessories on display, and for sale. Also, lighting and jewelry, all pre-owned, clean and waiting for someone to come in and spot something they love. Pricing is a system of reductions over time. I was told most things sell in about 20 days, then start to be reduced. Worth a look... they also buy your furniture if it fits their objecive. I spoke with Alex Pallares, Lead Curator; he is helpful, thoughtful and well spoken.

2019-03-01This store carefully curates what items they agree to take in and the price system had it drop lower based on clear dates on each tag. Of course, if you really want something, paying full price is usually worth the higher price. We found a beautiful Italian designed teak and monogamy table, with two surprise leaves that hide inside the table, along with eight stunning chairs that caused us to openly talk about wishing we could afford something like them... only to discover we could! The set was $600 since the top had water/ heat stains that we removed at home in 20 minutes with a tee shirt and iron, and we were able to sell our old apartment sized table and chairs on-line too. They have great art all over the store, much of it from local artists. Upstairs has tons of rugs in every size. There is a HUGE crystal chandelier in the back of the store where they have lots of great jewelry and wedding rings. You could stop here weekly and therell be something different to see; plus, the staff is willing to go the extra mile to help you with whatever you need. The store is wheelchair accessible without fear of destroying things.

2020-08-23Good selection, good prices. I have been to a lot of consignment stores in Austin, but the thing I like about this one is that they show how the price will be marked down each week if it isnt sold. They were also very helpful loading the furniture into my truck. They even stretch wrapped the table I bought so that it wouldnt get scratched.
